I think when he was trying to replace some of the blitzes in this game, him and his receivers communication on what exactly the landmark was supposed to be was not great.

Baker Mayfield is out at least three weeks with a thumb injury (per Todd Bowles). Beyond the injury, the Bucks offense has struggled to find its footing even with him playing. Mayfield is not accurate and had poor communication with receivers on blitz replacements in Week 3; he missed a simple slant to Buka Aiyuk on third down that exemplified the team's struggles. The offense has too many mistakes overall. Mayfield's $55 million annual salary (2027 cap hit of $65 million) was predicated on his 40-touchdown 2024 season under Liam Cohen; without that offensive coordinator, he does not command that contract. The Bucks are 0-3 and it's hard to imagine them being a playoff team this season even with Mayfield healthy.
