From the episode

I was drafting a lot of Jonathan Brooks earlier in the offseason. And now I'm drafting a lot of Chuba Hubbard and it's simply because of cost...Jonathan Brooks is the mystery box. The guy that like is playing behind the guy that nobody's like very interested in as a talent. Nobody thinks that Chuba Hubbard's like a top like 15 running back in the NFL in terms of talent.

Chuba's best ball value justified the pivot from Brooks due to cost, not talent gap.

Dhanani was bullish on Chuba early in the offseason but shifted to him in best ball drafts primarily due to cost dynamics versus Jonathan Brooks. In season-long leagues, Dhanani ranked them very close together, but best ball pricing created an opportunity cost equation favoring Chuba. Dhanani notes that while Chuba is not viewed as a top-15 NFL talent, the opportunity to own him at a discount made him the preferred target in best ball formats where Brooks was priced significantly higher (12th-13th round vs. 6th round for Chuba in early summer best ball drafts).
