Ryan's 2016 MVP season under Shanahan was career-best; system and talent unlocked his potential.

Matt Ryan had one of the best quarterback seasons ever in 2016 with the Falcons under Kyle Shanahan, despite being a very good but not dominant quarterback (7-10 range) for most of his career; the Shanahan system, Hall of Fame receiver Julio Jones, and other skill pieces unlocked everything, marrying boot action with downfield passing elements.
