STACKED’s take

Negative signalRole

May's worse 2024 reflects worse circumstances, not worse quarterback play.

The source describes Drake May's situation as deteriorated from last year: the offensive line is not improved, they cannot run the ball effectively, A.J. Brown is hurt, Romeo Dobbs is underperforming or misused, and the pass-catching core is worse without Stefan Diggs and Keyshawn Booty. Combined with schedule changes, May looks horrible in reality but is working with worse circumstances than last year when he was already getting by with limited help.
