A.J. Brown's in line for an absolute blow-up game on Thursday night. If we go through and look at this New England Patriots depth chart, A.J. Brown's kind of the last guy left standing at wide receiver. We had Romeo Dobbs hit the IR with the shoulder injury. And on top of that as well, you're looking at Mack Hollins already being ruled out previously. So, it's A.J. Brown, Pop Douglas, and a couple of tight ends. If we look at the underlying target volume that A.J. Brown had against the New York Jets in week six, A.J. Brown actually drew 10 targets in his first game back as the New England Patriot. Obviously, those drops led to him having a horrific performance. But if we're going to get this same type of target volume against the Chicago Bears, I'm all in. I actually went ahead and just took A.J. Brown to have over 70 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown on the Parlay Market app.
STACKED’s take
A.J. Brown set for breakout Thursday vs. Chicago with 10-target volume and depleted WR depth chart.
A.J. Brown is positioned for a breakout game Thursday night against Chicago with elevated target volume. He drew 10 targets in his first game back as a New England Patriot in week six against the Jets, and with Romeo Dobbs (shoulder IR) and Mack Hollins (ruled out) sidelined, Brown is the last receiver standing on the Patriots depth chart ahead of only Pop Douglas and tight ends. Drake May noted those drops led to a horrific performance in week six, but expressed conviction that the same target volume against the Bears will translate to production. Drake May placed a prop bet on Brown to exceed 70 receiving yards and score a touchdown ($10 to win $35 on Parlay Market).
