From the article

Jordan Mason was back in the fold, coming off injured reserve for Week 7. He led the rushing attack with 15 carries for 68 yards. Jones had eight carries for 26 yards and one catch. We know Jones' injury history, plus Mason looked better on his carries.

Positive signalRole

Jordan Mason outproduces Jones; RB2 value if Jones sits.

Mason returned from injured reserve for Week 7 and led the Vikings' rushing attack with 15 carries for 68 yards, outproducing Aaron Jones (8 carries for 26 yards). If Jones sits with his knee injury, Mason is an RB2 given the volume he'd receive. Even if Jones is OK for Week 8 against the Lions, Mason feels like the better fantasy option right now given his superior performance and the Vikings' weak passing game with Kyler Murray at the helm.
