You hate that he's fumbled in both games. You hate the overall just approach of this offense. And yet who's coming for his touches like Keaton Mitchell is just that part-time change of pace kind of guy.
STACKED’s take
Hampton fumbled twice; Chargers offense underperforming; volume play only, not elite.
Hampton is ranked RB11 (two spots ahead of consensus RB13), but his fantasy stats mask underlying concerns. While he has volume (RB9 in carries), his film and metrics look negative—the opposite of Breece Hall's situation. He's fumbled in both games, and the Chargers offense has not delivered on expectations despite Mike McDaniel's scheme. The Bills defense has allowed 20+ fantasy points to a single RB in each game, but Hampton's overall approach and offensive fit are concerning. He's a volume play and a bet on the Chargers offense improving, but not an elite back. At a certain point, you can only fade him so much given the lack of competition in the backfield (Keaton Mitchell is part-time, Kamani Vidal is not getting touches).
