if you look at Roschon, he really kind of just stepped right into the Kalen Ballage role... there's a chance that Roschon Johnson in these games where you don't have Kalen Ballage actually might be like a running back three, especially whenever we have teams on by. He scored 14 and 1/2 fantasy points today. It could have been more... it would have been over 20 fantasy points today for uh, Roschon Johnson.

Positive signalRole

Stepped into Ballage role for 14.5 points; could be RB3 in Ballage-absence games.

Roschon Johnson stepped into Kalen Ballage's role and scored 14.5 fantasy points, nearly reaching 20+ points after a near-touchdown where he smartly slid down inside the 5-yard line. Ben Johnson's offensive system favors a two-headed monster backfield (as seen in Detroit with Jamaal Williams and David Montgomery, and last year with Ballage), so Johnson could operate as an RB3 in games without Ballage, especially during bye weeks. The Bears designed a hook-and-ladder play for him early, indicating offensive confidence. Johnson may have outperformed De'Andre Swift on the day despite Swift's two touchdowns.
