From the episode
Bo Nix needs to rattle off about eight great games before I think about it... Bo Nix this year. Like there's one game you're happy with. One. There's also a seven point game, a six point game, a ten point game... I signed Gino freaking Smith. Yeah, I support this. To play over Bo Nix this week... Bo Nix would look cooler on my lineup, but I need to win.

Source benched Bo Nix for Gino Smith despite Arizona matchup; only one good game all season.
The source dropped Bo Nix in favor of Gino Smith for Week 7 despite Arizona being a favorable matchup. The reasoning: Bo Nix has delivered only one satisfactory game all season, with multiple single-digit and low-double-digit performances (7, 6, 10 points). The source acknowledged the psychological pull of playing a QB on a good team against a weak defense, but prioritized win-now decision-making over matchup appeal, stating "Bo Nix would look cooler on my lineup, but I need to win."
