A.J. Brown

PositiveProjection6:29

AJ Brown is a complicated player to evaluate. The source is uncertain about his rapport with Drake Maye and notes that some drops and rapport issues need to develop over time. Brown has had on-and-off days with Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia, and the uncertainty around his fit in New England makes him a risky target compared to established receivers like Garrett Wilson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection25:55

AJ Brown received 10 targets last week and will have a bounce-back game at Thursday night football; if he had caught his targets last week, he would have posted 7 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown, and he's a primetime performer who should show out in this matchup.

Insight page
NegativeRole31:49

AJ Brown is complicated to evaluate due to uncertainty around rapport development with Drake Maye in New England; he has had on-and-off days with Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia and is coming off a high ankle sprain, creating questions about consistency rest of season.

Insight page
PositiveProjection31:49

Despite a high ankle sprain and early inconsistency with Drake Maye in New England, the source believes AJ Brown will be a top-10 wide receiver in the fantasy playoffs by season's end; expects the next 2-3 weeks to show gradual return to form as he recovers from injury, though he may not be at 100% initially.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveRole11:42

Antonio Williams has a clear path to become Washington's number one wide receiver; Stefan Diggs will maintain his role, but Williams' floor is safe and this represents his audition to show whether Washington needs to invest more capital at the position or if Williams can fill that need long-term. The source notes the kid has skills and finds it exciting, though uncertain if he can make the jump.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection43:24

The source dropped Bo Nix in favor of Gino Smith for Week 7 despite Arizona being a favorable matchup. The reasoning: Bo Nix has delivered only one satisfactory game all season, with multiple single-digit and low-double-digit performances (7, 6, 10 points). The source acknowledged the psychological pull of playing a QB on a good team against a weak defense, but prioritized win-now decision-making over matchup appeal, stating "Bo Nix would look cooler on my lineup, but I need to win."

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveMatchup0:35

Against Miami, Breece Hall is an automatic start if he returns this week, despite potential timeshare concerns in his first week back. The source notes Hall was a top-15 back in the first two weeks before injury and looked great; the Miami matchup is favorable enough to warrant immediate lineup insertion. The source would be happy to have Hall in the lineup given the weak running back landscape.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

PositiveMatchup27:39

Against the Giants, Stroud's upside is tied to Houston's weak running game; the source expects Houston will be forced to pass frequently because they lack a reliable ground attack. If Houston scores 21 points, it will likely require Stroud to throw three passing touchdowns or a pick-six, making him a high-volume passer in this matchup. The source likes Stroud this week a lot.

Insight page
PositiveValue27:48

CJ Stroud has been cooking and gets the Giants matchup, which is much better than Joe Burrow's Baltimore Ravens matchup; Stroud is ranked one spot higher in the source's rankings in this start-sit decision.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection26:54

Caleb Williams is too good for fantasy and must be started despite a tough matchup; he can run the ball and throw three touchdowns in a game.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue6:29

Preferred over Josh Jacobs in rest-of-season rankings; source consensus suggests Chase Brown should be ranked ahead of Jacobs.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue9:05

The source would not trade Chris Olave for Josh Jacobs, stating you can get a better running back for Olave, suggesting Olave's value is higher than Jacobs' current ranking.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveMatchup21:21

Loveland is favored over Hunter Henry and Kyle Pitts for Week 7 play; the source prefers starting Loveland over both despite Henry benefiting from Dobbs and Collins injuries in Chicago. Loveland posted 5 catches for 60 yards and 1 TD last week; Chicago is favored in the matchup, and the Patriots allow 5.6 fantasy points per game to tight ends.

Insight page

Corey Kiner

PositiveRole22:06

Corey Kiner received significant fourth-quarter work in the recent Patriots game, getting carries over both Travon Henderson and Ramondre Stevenson; coach Vrabel praised him after the game, saying 'he's been running hard, he's been running great,' and noted the team has 'three great backs.' This emergence threatens Henderson's role going forward.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeValue6:29

Source would easily take Josh Jacobs over DeAndre Swift in rest-of-season rankings.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup24:03

D'Andre Swift is an easy play this week; Monongahela (likely referring to a teammate or context) is not practicing, so Swift's role is secure on the short week.

Insight page
PositiveRole24:57

Swift is the clear lead back on a great offense; he's been a top 24 back in all but one week this season, making him a fantastic play each week regardless of matchup quality.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

NegativeValue34:43

Dak Prescott was part of a trade package (along with Nico Collins and Jalen Warren) that the source criticized as a bad deal when given for Jamar Chase and Saquon Barkley; the source explicitly stated 'I don't think I would've done it.'

Insight page
NegativeMatchup43:39

Dak Prescott was discussed as a Week 7 QB option against Philadelphia on the road. The source was evaluating him against Bo Nix against Arizona, both road games, but the transcript does not provide a clear stance or projection for Prescott specifically.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeValue10:29

In a redraft of the first two rounds of rookie drafts, Denzel Boston went 106th overall, generating significant debate about his draft capital and positioning relative to other prospects.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection26:54

Drake Maye is too good for fantasy and must be started despite a tough matchup; he can run the ball and throw three touchdowns in a game.

Insight page
NegativeRole31:53

Drake Maye's rapport with AJ Brown is uncertain and still developing. The source questions whether the connection will be there and notes that drops and rapport issues need time to develop, which hasn't fully materialized yet in New England.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveProjection30:39

Garrett Wilson has been pretty darn good this year with four good games and four stinkers. One poor performance came against Christian Gonzalez (New England), where Gonzalez has won every matchup against Wilson. Despite this weakness, Wilson remains very good overall. The source would not trade Wilson and Omarion Hampton for AJ Brown, valuing Wilson's consistency and upside over the uncertainty of Brown's fit with Drake Maye.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveProjection43:56

The source picked up and started Gino Smith over Bo Nix for Week 7, despite Bo Nix facing Arizona. The source explicitly stated support for this decision, prioritizing Smith's reliability over the matchup appeal of Nix against a weak defense.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

NegativeMatchup21:21

Hunter Henry is considered a worse play than Colston Loveland despite being a huge beneficiary of Dobbs and Matt Collins going down in Chicago. The source ranks Henry below Loveland for Week 7 despite the injury context favoring his usage.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeProjection12:24

J.J. McCarthy has been announced as the starting quarterback for the Giants against the Texans; he looked mixed in limited action (threw picks and looked bad but also threw for 243 yards and scored 23 fantasy points in the fourth quarter), and while he's unlikely to look great against the Texans, the Giants had to make the transition from Jameis Winston. The real question is whether McCarthy can develop and lead the team to the playoffs, which is a legitimate possibility in this division.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeValue34:23

Jamar Chase is extremely difficult to trade for due to his elite tier status; the source notes there is 'really not an appropriate haul' for a player of Chase's caliber, making him nearly untradeable even when depth is needed.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeRole13:27

Jameis Winston did not seem to be getting it done as the Giants quarterback, prompting the team to trade for J.J. McCarthy as his replacement.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveMatchup33:51

Jalen Waddle is positioned for a bounce-back game against Arizona this week; while Arizona looked strong against the Rams, the source questions whether that was defensive improvement or scheme-specific advantage, noting Arizona's defense has been giving up 30 points weekly and is not genuinely good.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeValue6:29

Source would rather have Josh Jacobs than Jalen Warren in rest-of-season rankings, suggesting Warren is ranked ahead of Jacobs but source disagrees with that placement.

Insight page
NegativeValue34:43

Jalen Warren was part of a trade package (along with Nico Collins and Dak Prescott) that the source criticized as a bad deal when given for Jamar Chase and Saquon Barkley; the source explicitly stated 'I don't think I would've done it.'

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeUsage30:04

Jalen Wright has lost the backfield work to Obi Martin, who got all the carries and touches. This depth chart shift makes Wright a less attractive option compared to Martin.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveProjection8:45

The source prefers Jeremiah Love over Josh Jacobs, describing Love as a truly elite special talent who will be used heavily once he recovers from his ankle injury by season's end, despite the slog to get there.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeMatchup27:48

Joe Burrow plays the Baltimore Ravens, which is a worse matchup than CJ Stroud's Giants game in a start-sit decision.

Insight page
PositiveProjection28:52

The source would have a hard time sitting Burrow down this week and considers him a strong play alongside Stroud, though Stroud is preferred. Lamar Jackson could return, which might affect the quarterback landscape, but Burrow remains in the source's consideration set.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveRole2:30

The Packers currently have zero running backs that can produce for the team; if Jacobs returns from injury, he is in a strong position to lead the backfield despite coach Matt LaFleur's comments about easing him back in. Jacobs has been training and missed exposure to football, but the lack of viable alternatives suggests he will be the primary option when healthy.

Insight page
NegativeProjection4:15

Rest-of-season ranking consensus around RB15-17; floor should be approximately RB15 week-to-week despite offensive line concerns, missed practice time, and age (nearly 29). Upside case hinges on touchdown production and goal-line volume with Packers offense; last year he was RB5 before injury with volume and touchdown-driven production, though efficiency was poor with many sub-4 yards-per-carry games.

Insight page
PositiveRole4:22

Will get all the work for the Packers; he will be the goal-line guy with plenty of opportunities given the Packers' scoring offense. Should get full workload next week; this week may see easing-in period.

Insight page
NegativeProjection6:50

The source expresses skepticism about Jacobs' ranking, noting his inefficiency last year despite high touchdown volume; he averaged many games under four yards per carry and wasn't the same player despite scoring at an outrageous clip. With the Raiders' offensive line ranked 31st as of week seven (down from 6th in 2024), the source believes Jacobs should be ranked in the 20s rather than 16th overall at running back.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeMatchup22:08

Kyle Pitts faces a worse matchup than Colston Loveland; San Francisco is ranked number one in fantasy points allowed to tight ends, making Pitts a less attractive play than Loveland this week.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeValue6:29

Not a debatable comparison point against Josh Jacobs in rest-of-season rankings; source indicates clear separation between Jacobs and Williams.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole6:02

Packers showed they need Marshawn Lloyd off the field; source suggests Marshawn Lynch would have performed better than Lloyd, indicating Lloyd is not the preferred back and Jacobs will get the work.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeValue34:43

Nico Collins was part of a trade package (along with Jalen Warren and Dak Prescott) that the source criticized as a bad deal when given for Jamar Chase and Saquon Barkley; the source explicitly stated 'I don't think I would've done it.'

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeUsage22:06

Ramondre Stevenson has been RB13 over the last three weeks with 10 carries and 44 yards; the source prefers him over Travon Henderson in weekly rankings but expresses concern about the Patriots backfield after Corey Kiner received significant work in the fourth quarter over Stevenson in the recent game, with coach Vrabel praising Kiner's running ability.

Insight page

Rohan Jones

NegativeMatchup24:03

Roshan Jones is a terrifying play against New England; the source notes you're hoping for a touchdown or PPR scoring through catches (4 catches mentioned as the floor), or hoping for a blowout where the Patriots' early-season dominance shows up. In the recent game, Jones had 8 carries to Swift's 2 carries in the fourth quarter when the game was still close, but the Patriots were blowing out opponents early.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeProjection8:00

The source acknowledges Barkley as a tough comparison point when debating Josh Jacobs' ranking, suggesting Barkley is in a similar tier of debate but notes an injury concern makes the comparison difficult.

Insight page
PositiveValue34:43

Saquon Barkley was acquired in a trade package (along with Jamar Chase) that the source criticized as a bad deal for the other side; the source disapproved of trading away Chase and Barkley for Nico Collins, Jalen Warren, and Dak Prescott.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeInjury9:30

Terry McLaurin tore his patellar tendon, which the source describes as a brutal injury worse than an ACL tear. At 31 years old, he will be well into 32 by the time he potentially heals. The source believes this is effectively a career-ending injury for fantasy purposes, noting he will not be a player they would ever start again.

Insight page
NegativeRole10:08

For fantasy football purposes, the source does not believe McLaurin will be a player they start again, signaling a significant downgrade in his fantasy viability going forward.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeMatchup33:47

Tony Pollard against Cleveland defense is considered less favorable than Jalen Waddle against Arizona in a flex start decision this week.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in! Okay, trying something new. Listen, welcome into the show of the Fantasy Footballers, we're back again.
0:11Jason Moore, Mike Wright, Andy Holloway. I don't know if the people know this, but we are two shows away from 2,000.
0:18So this is episode 1,998. We should also celebrate if we reach the amount of shows that it took me to hit a hole in one.
0:272,399 should be a good show. We'll dedicate that one to Andy's Hole.
0:31Thank you, thank you. Which is shorthand for my hole in one.
0:35Yeah. Just to be clear. You can't do hashtag Andy's Hole in One challenge.
0:40This is going to take way too long. No, it's going to take way too long.
0:45But I just noticed, once again, we are in matching tops.
0:48We have all got black on today. And these are things that nobody probably notices, but like...
0:54I'm sure people do. We've had a weird run.
0:57Like we don't. We don't check with or care what each other wears.
1:01But we've had some weird runs lately where it's like, I'm going to wear a purple shirt for the first time in like six months.
1:09And somebody else wears a purple shirt. And I show up looking like Grimace.
1:14I do have purple pants on. Oh, look at that.
1:17Wait, you see, you Grimace on the bottom? Yeah.
1:20Party on top? Or, I don't know how that works.
1:23We've got a great show today. News and Thursday night breakdown.
1:27Oh, and next Friday is the Halloween episode. Oh my gosh.
1:31We might need to get on that. Yeah, are we finalized then?
1:34I don't know. I think Mike is Grimace. I think it's what we learned.
1:39Oh yeah, I'll just wear these pants and the purple shirt.
1:43And the purple top. Yeah, that's it. But yeah, we've got episode 2000 on Friday.
1:47I do not know what is happening, but I'm supposed to have a phone call today about something to do with episode 2000.
1:55So I'm expecting, Al, there'll be some festivities. We're going to sprinkle in some fun things.
2:00Yeah. Oh, that's good. Well, then we've got the Halloween episode the following week.
2:05We had waivers just go through. We have the Megalobull happening right now, where Show Me Your Touchdowns is still in first place.
2:12Wow. And we're not doing good with the names here, so I'm not reading the rest of them.
2:18But somebody's winning and other people are in second, third, fourth, and fifth.
2:22Let me have a look at this. Ah, yes.
2:25Yeah. A reference to a dinosaur. Yeah. You're going to take that one on, Mike?
2:30I don't remember that dinosaur. I want my baby back.
2:34Gibbs is number five right now. Jason, even though you're 12-0, you are in 696th place.
2:39Yeah, top percentile. Do better. Yeah. Do better. The ultimate dashboard and all the premium tools available to the community at jointhefoot.com.
2:46The website's thefantasyfootballers.com, unless the internet broke today. Our quick question.
2:50Matt in Colorado, where do you rank Josh Jacobs?
2:53Oh, boy. Among running backs for the rest of the season?
2:56We do have our rest of season rankings as part of the Foot Clan.
3:01I'm curious where you guys currently have him. He's been moving around.
3:05I mean, the honest truth is this. We don't know what we don't know.
3:09If Josh Jacobs is back and playing, it is quite evident that the Packers currently have zero running backs that can produce for this team.
3:17So they can say what they want about easing him back in or he's keeping himself in shape, but he hasn't had practice.
3:25These are some of the comments that are coming out.
3:28We feel he's in a pretty good spot, said Matt LaFleur on Monday.
3:32He's been training. He's missed the exposure to football, blah, blah, blah, yada, yada.
3:37Look, if something doesn't happen with the NFL intervening, they still have a bad offensive line.
3:42Yep. He still, he has a season where he missed.
3:45If you remember this. He's almost 29 years old.
3:48He missed a lot of time going into one of the seasons with the Raiders.
3:53Oh, the fat Thor year. Fat Thor year. And that whole season was a lack of production.
3:59It's not like we haven't seen. It'd be one thing to be like Derrick Henry's Derrick Henry, and he always ends up Derrick Henry.
4:07Jacobs has had a complete down year before, and it was going into free agency where the Packers paid him a bunch of money.
4:15So I didn't think there's a range of outcomes is my point.
4:18I think he will get all the work for this team.
4:22Yeah. Unless there is going to be the overhanging possibility that the league intervenes at some point in time, extends these time
4:29serve suspension, decides they get a hold of the video.
4:32They decide they're going to make another determination. Something happens, blah, blah, blah.
4:37That risk factor is there. If I were to just take all that into account and I don't, I'll mess with my
4:44rest of season rankings, and I was just to pick a spot for him rest of season.
4:49There's a number that jumps out to me, and I'm curious where you guys have him.
4:55For me, I have him at like RB 16.
4:58Yeah, I think that's the right spot. I think right around running back 15.
5:02I think that that is, running back 15 is about what his floor should be, not necessarily this week.
5:08Oh, my rest of season I'm at 17 right now.
5:12Coming in, but I do think on a week-to-week basis, he should be at least about running back 15 the rest of the way and carries that risk.
5:21Now, that's not his upside case. That is, I think, the case of like this offensive line is not good.
5:27He's been out of football, and he's a little older, and so you don't see the best of him, therefore, about running back 15.
5:35The upside case, you know, he played last year.
5:38Seven, eight. He was the running back like five until he got injured.
5:42He was dominating, and it really comes down to for him, he is a touchdown machine.
5:48Yeah. He is still on a great offense. The Packers are scoring, say what you want about the offensive line being bad.
5:55They're going to have plenty of goal line opportunities with this offense, especially with Jacobs added in, and he will be the guy.
6:02All the opportunity in the world was given to Marshawn Lynch and company.
6:07If Marshawn Lynch... Marshawn Lynch today would have done better than Marshawn Lloyd.
6:11I think you are correct. And what they showed is they need to be off the field.
6:16So, you know, I don't know if this week Jacobs gets all the work.
6:21I think next week he will. There's a couple names ahead of him in the rest of the season rankings that make me go, hmm.
6:29If I said Chase Brown or Josh Jacobs... Chase Brown.
6:32We're all doing Chase Brown, right? Yeah. If I said Jente or Josh Jacobs...
6:37Jente. Okay. Jalen Warren. That's the one name that I'm like, hmm.
6:41I would rather have Jacobs. The thing for Jacobs is...
6:44DeAndre Swift? Swift. Swift, easily. I mean, I don't think there's other names that you're going to debate.
6:50Kyron Williams you're not going to debate. Last year...
6:53It's difficult to me for Jacobs of production-wise, because last year was...
6:57It was volume and touchdowns. He was... Overall, he was not efficient.
7:01Like, many, many games under four yards a carry.
7:04Like, this is... And I know he's getting goal-lined, so it's like, we'll bring it down.
7:09But he, to me, wasn't the same player, but he was scoring in an outrageous clip.
7:14You know, the what? For like three years in a row.
7:18Sure. But he is... We're now a player who hasn't taken a snap yet.
7:22They are the 31st ranked... We're going into week seven.
7:26They're the 31st ranked offensive line as of seven hours ago on PFF.
7:30So that is... What were they two years ago?
7:33There's only one worse, Jason. It's the Chargers. Oh, man.
7:36My question, for two years ago, what was their offensive line?
7:40I don't know if we have access to that data.
7:43It can't be as bad as it is this year.
7:46Are you looking into that, Jay? No. Okay. I mean, I did not volunteer.
7:51They were sixth. They were sixth overall in 2024.
7:54Okay. I am not nearly as optimistic on Jacob's outlook as you guys.
7:58I mean, do you think 16 is the right place?
8:01I think that's a bit too high. I would have him around in the 20s.
8:06Let me give you names behind him. I'm running back two.
8:10Saquon. The Injury... Yeah. That one's tough. That one is actually tough.
8:14That one's an easy thing for Barkley. Because I don't really like...
8:18That seems Jacobs to me. But I have other names.
8:21Brace Hall. Brace Hall is his own conversation because...
8:24Nope. Part of this one. What I'm saying... No, I know.
8:27I say the conversation, you have to steer it over because Braylon Allen has not just been the guy for the Jets.
8:35Braylon Allen's been good. And like... So what is your answer if you had to choose?
8:40Between Brace Hall and Jacobs? Jason. Probably Brace. Cam Scadaboo?
8:43Jacobs. And one more tough one. Real tough. Jeremiah Love.
8:46If you had Jeremiah Love or Josh Jacobs? I would go Jeremiah Love.
8:51Yeah. I still think that the end of season when he gets over the ankle injury, he is a truly elite special talent.
8:58And they will use him at the end of the year.
9:02It's going to be a slog to get there, but it'll be worth it.
9:06All right. I mean, there are... A lot of Jacobs questions coming in.
9:11Like, would you trade Chris Olave for Josh Jacobs?
9:13No. I mean, I would not... No. If you had an abundance of wide receivers, that still seems like too much.
9:20You can get a better running back for Chris Olave.
9:24I would think. Yeah, let's jump into some of the news.
9:27News and notes from around the league. All right.
9:30The commanders announced, and it is bad, Dan Quinn confirmed Terry McLaurin tore his patellar tendon.
9:35This one is... Which is a massive injury. This one is probably worse than tearing your Achilles.
9:41He is 31 right now. He will be well into 32 by the time this is potentially, you know, healed.
9:47I mean, I can remember one dude coming back from this injury and seemingly being fine.
9:53And it took him like two years. And it was Will Disley.
9:57Yeah. But this is a... Just so those people know, this is a brutal injury.
10:01This is a lot worse than just tearing an ACL.
10:05Yes. Yeah. This feels to me like a career-ending injury.
10:08Not that McLaurin won't necessarily play another snap of football, but for fantasy football purposes, I don't think he will be a guy that we ever start again.
10:17Yeah. We talked about him a good bit on today's Dynasty podcast because we were doing a redraft of the first two
10:24rounds of rookie drafts, which this year is fascinating of the shakeup that really has...
10:29Where did Denzel Boston go? Earlier than he did...
10:32Certainly. In the... 106. No, that was a huge debate though.
10:36Oh, okay. Yeah. It was a very strong debate.
10:39Look, I didn't... I don't subscribe. And I was just curious what happened.
10:43So yeah, he went 106, but then the conversation for...
10:46It's Antonio Williams of... Was a fun prospect. Third round.
10:50Day two pick. Thank you. Like, the draft capital is there.
10:53We've seen some flashes. Did he go ahead of Jacoby Lane or behind him?
10:58Uh, I think he went behind him, but only because of Kyle.
11:02Uh, but that was... The conversation was like... Should I stop spoiling?
11:06Antonio Williams. These are fascinating. I'm so curious. Where'd Jeremy go?
11:09Oh, he went really high. Yeah. Because I am...
11:12I... Which I admitted on the show. Listen, folks.
11:15I said my emotional attachment already to Jeremy Bernard is...
11:18You know Mike's emotional attachment when you ask him how many PSA graded cards of a player he owns.
11:24Well, I don't have any graded of him yet.
11:27But you just bought two... They're raw. Didn't you buy two...
11:31You just bought two Jeremy cards. Yes, they will be graded in 12 months.
11:36But it's like Antonio Williams. My new Dino... Wait, is he on your Dino team?
11:40Yes. Oh, there it is. Oh. And I said it.
11:44And the truth. Oh, I revealed the truth. I didn't hide anything.
11:48There are three pillars of Mike's undying loyalty and we've got them all here.
11:52Yeah. I did not hide any of that. Also...
11:55That sucks. That sucks that you have him. That sucks for you guys.
11:59Antonio Williams. I'll change you Zachariah Branch for him.
12:02No. Oh, darn. Antonio Williams, the path for him to make an attempt to be Washington's number one wide receiver...
12:09Clear. It's right in front of him. Yeah. Stefan Diggs will have his role.
12:13His floor is safe. We talked about that. But long term, Antonio Williams, this is his audition.
12:19Like, he's gonna show Washington, do you need to invest more capital in the wide receiver position or is it in time for Antonio Williams?
12:27It's a... It's gonna be fascinating to watch. The kid has skills.
12:31I don't know if he can make that jump, but it's right there.
12:35It's pretty exciting for him. Yeah. J.J. McCarthy has been announced as the starting quarterback for the New York football giants in the game against the Texans.
12:44That will be tough. Good. That will be tough.
12:47But he looked good in the fourth quarter and bad at the same time.
12:52He did the Winston. He basically looked like Jameis Winston.
12:55He threw picks and looked bad and then also threw for 243 yards and scored 23 fantasy points.
13:01Yeah, he's not gonna look great against the Texans, but you pretty much have to make this transition.
13:07Winston didn't seem like he was getting it done.
13:10You trade for J.J. McCarthy. The real question is if, for some reason, rest of season, J.J.
13:15McCarthy does take that step forward, does lead this team to the playoffs, which is totally a legitimate possibility with this division now.
13:23This is why I thought the trade was so weird.
13:26And then you get the Jackson Dart-McCarthy conundrum. You had to get a quarterback, but the thing...
13:32If you get J.J. McCarthy a development project... Versus like a flack up.
13:36And he develops... You're like, well, it's a good problem to have.
13:40No, it's not. Ask Minnesota. Well... It is a good problem.
13:43I don't think it's a good problem. The way I see it is that you have to...
13:49If you wanna... It's a winnable division, right? It's a good problem that you will have, no matter what you do, you're gonna get it wrong.
13:57But it's like the 49ers developed Brock Purdy. And he looked good.
14:01And it's like, well, they had Trey Lance. They just went, we're gonna go...
14:06I know he's not the guy that we were supposed to have.
14:10But it worked out okay for them to have that problem.
14:13I mean, you're talking in if this, then that scenarios that are low probability.
14:18Agreed. And you had to just get the best available trade candidate quarterback that could lead you to maybe making the playoffs
14:25at 7 and 10 because this division sucks. Right.
14:28I mean, I don't think there's gonna be a lot of debate, but maybe if he goes on a run there would be.
14:36I agree with that. Jordan Tyson will not practice this week.
14:39But... Getting closer to practicing. That's right. Which does seem like his state for the last six weeks.
14:45Each week. That's better than not. Yeah, they have the bye week in week eight.
14:50So my assumption has been that they have had that as the target the whole time.
14:55And they said in that interview, they said that this...
14:58They're taking it slower than usual on purpose because they think he's a special talent.
15:03They loved what they saw in training camp and they had a target.
15:08We don't know what that is. They're waiting for their target.
15:11I think it's the bye week. It was not the same injury.
15:15They came out and mentioned that. Right. Terrence Ferguson is not going to be coming off of an injured reserve.
15:22Are you saying that Sean McVay lied about an injury again?
15:25Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Yes, I did.
15:29Yep, I lied. Well, I never. Terrence Ferguson isn't expected to be ready even though he said he would be ready.
15:35That moves... We talked about them in the waiver wire of the Rams have to do something.
15:41And we thought Terrence Ferguson, if he's going to be back, that's a very interesting pickup that you just have to wait a couple weeks.
15:49But Tyler Higbee should remain relevant. Baker Mayfield seen participating on Wednesday.
15:53Throwing. So, I think he's going to fight to play.
15:56Baker probably will. Yeah, he usually does. He plays through injury poorly.
16:00Kyle Shanahan said Christian Kirk is a possibility to play for the 49ers in week seven.
16:05It hurts his team, but tough. Okay. Christian Kirk, we'll see.
16:09Dan Graziano reports, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Giants add someone from the outside or give Tracy a bigger chance.
16:16Tyrone Tracy was one of the names we mentioned.
16:19What a mess. He went for $1. $1 to Jason today in the waiver wire.
16:24Ka-ching! Lucky guy. We'll take a break. We'll get into the Thursday night preview.
16:29Thursday night breakdown. Well, I am so excited for this one.
16:32It should be fun. New England's 4-2 and they traveled to Chicago to take on the Bears who are 4-2.
16:39Chicago three-point home favorites. Look at that respect. Over-under is 50 and a half.
16:43And I've got a buddy going to this game.
16:46I think it's going to be super exciting. The weather seems good.
16:50Two 4-2 teams. Over-under is 50 and a half.
16:53Division winners. I mean, here we go. Drake May in the last three weeks, 3-0, 10 touchdowns, one pick.
16:59Fantasy points per game, he pretty much quadrupled what he had been averaging.
17:04Yeah, I mean, the last three weeks he's lapping second place.
17:07He would be on pace for 5,000 passing yards, 56 touchdowns, and adding 580 rushing yards on the ground.
17:13I mean, he has been a machine. This matchup is one where I think the Bears' defense can be good sometimes, but
17:21you expect the two quarterbacks in the two offenses.
17:24Not if he says check this out. Yeah, you know, this is a fun game.
17:28I hope that this hits the over. I think it could.
17:32Yeah, the Bears and Patriots' defense is schedule-adjusted. They're pretty good.
17:36Quarterback is the one position the Bears give up fantasy points to.
17:40But running back and tight end, they don't give up.
17:43They're top ten against those. Patriots, they're a great defense.
17:46Number three against quarterbacks, two against tight ends. So Colston, Loveland, and company.
17:50You know, how much buy-in do we have on the one-week resurgence of Loveland?
17:55We knew we'd be in this boat at some point.
17:58We talked about the fact that we just didn't get to see a lot of Caleb and Colston, and you know, Luther
18:05Burden led the team in, even though the snaps are so low.
18:09He led the team in catches with eight. He dominates the per-route stuff.
18:1439% of snaps. His utilization is so insane. And Rome, just right now, Rome feels a lot like Marv.
18:20Do you know whose numbers are almost identical? Marv and Rome.
18:23They're crazy. Well, it feels the same. It feels like Rome.
18:27Yeah. Like, it's not like Marv doesn't make a play.
18:30He does. He makes plays. And Rome makes plays.
18:33But from a fantasy, you know, consistency standpoint, it seems- He just doesn't demand targets.
18:38Like, let me ask the question. Because A.J. Brown looked terrible last week.
18:42He's going to be one week healthier. You lose Romeo Dobbs.
18:46He's on IR. You don't have Matt Collins. In this exact game, and you got to start to Mario Douglas, who's been
18:53the wide receiver 9 and 10 in the last two weeks for the Patriots, for a quarterback that's been the best.
19:00Or you start Roma Dunsay? Hmm. Like, if I had those two guys, there's just- I don't think there's any way I'd
19:07put Rome into that lineup over DeMario Douglas. Yes.
19:10That is brutal. I mean, Rome has one game this year in the top 24, and it was 22 overall.
19:17He has scored how many touchdowns, Jason? I mean, six weeks.
19:20One? Zero. I'm not a Rome guy, but I give everyone the same pass.
19:25Like, I won't just say, well, I'm only going to give a pass to Burnett Loveland.
19:30I don't give a pass to those guys, though.
19:33Not a full pass. I mean, I think there's the hopeful upside.
19:37But six weeks into the season, you haven't seen spectacular from any of these guys.
19:42Well, but I think the pass is that the six weeks has been four of the six weeks hasn't been this offense
19:49with- Devontae Smith in one week with Tanner McKee, goes out there, target hog.
19:53Ben Johnson is not an idiot. They've won games without him.
19:57Yeah, they were winning. And they're still part of a mosaic of options in Chicago that at any moment, Kalief Raymond or
20:04Colt Komet or Swift- Roshan last week had a better game than Rome by 3X.
20:09That's my point. Like, at the end, though- And with Caleb.
20:13If I remember right, most of Roshan's production was like the fourth quarter when the game was already done.
20:19Okay. Yeah, I mean, the game wasn't that done.
20:22I mean, they had to get a first down for the Falcons not to be able to tie the game.
20:28Yes. Look, my point is that this is a situation that we talked about the other week.
20:34You're going to be able to say whatever you want about these guys.
20:38Correct. If you want to say that that's the first of a bunch of great games in a row, say it.
20:45Believe it. Start them. I would start Demario Douglas over Roma Duns in this game.
20:50What about Burden? I would play Burden. Okay. Because the target volume is massive.
20:55I mean, you know, Demario Douglas two weeks ago was two touchdowns on five targets.
20:59Last week he got eight targets. And with Dobbs going down, the snaps are going up.
21:05So to me, he's a great one-week start. I don't know if you guys disagree.
21:10I don't want to be biased. I don't disagree with that.
21:13I think he's been good. I don't disagree with that.
21:16Targeting the slot against Chicago is good. The slot role has, you know, historically for this Patriots offense been a valuable role.
21:24And in a game with a 50 and a half point over under, I think Demario Douglas was one of the most
21:31popular pickup to play guys this week. So, you know, he's a flex option.
21:35I would still go Rome over him, but he's in that tier where like Rome is a flex at best.
21:42Uh, Loveland was five for 60 and one last week.
21:45Will you play pits this week? Oh man. Or Colson Loveland.
21:49See, this is another situation where I genuinely think Hunter Henry on the other side might be better than Colson Loveland.
21:56The fancy points given up by the Patriots, regardless of Caleb starting 5.6 a game.
22:01You got two of them in Chicago. Hunter Henry, huge beneficiary of Dobbs in Matt Collins going down.
22:06Agreed. His last two weeks are, I mean, I think what's coming through is I think the Patriots are going to win the game.
22:14Okay. It seems that way from, uh, from what you're saying.
22:18I, I'm still on the Loveland, uh, side. I would start Loveland over Henry.
22:22Chicago's favorite. Chicago's favorite. Yeah. Yeah. And, um, I would also start Loveland over, over pits.
22:28Okay. Uh, this isn't a great matchup, but pits is even, even worse against San Francisco.
22:33Is it? Yeah. Worse than what is San Francisco number one against that end?
22:38Okay. So those are the top two. I was like, how is it, how is it worse?
22:43But there's only one. It can be one worse.
22:46Ramondre. Travo. Oh, uh, what? So, uh, next gen stat on Travo 16 zone runs this year.
22:52He's gained 24 yards on them. Contacted at the line of scrimmage.
22:5581% of the time. Um, he was 5.5 a carry last year on those attempts.
23:00He's, they say he's healthy. Ramondre has been the RB 13, 10 and 44 the last three weeks.
23:06I mean, I play Ramondre over Travo, but where does Ramondre end up in your weekly ranks?
23:12I like it, it should be in Pierce or Ramondre.
23:15Well, we need, we need the Saquon news, but matchup wise, Damien Pierce getting Dallas's would be more like it's a much better situation.
23:23I'm freaked out by the Patriots running backs right now because of the Kiner stuff.
23:28Yeah. And the comments that were made after the game, uh, Vrabel was asked you because if you're unaware, Corey Kiner, a
23:35running back, you've never heard of, right? Started finer though.
23:38Oh, very nice. Um, started getting, uh, a lot of work at the end of the game in the fourth quarter.
23:45And, and even over Ramondre, this wasn't just a Travion Henderson's dealing with his ankle injury.
23:50This was real Andre's there and they're giving the ball to Corey Kiner.
23:55And the comments afterwards were just, he's been running hard.
23:58He's been running great. And we've got three great backs and you just hate to hear that.
24:03You do hate to hear that. Yeah. Especially if you are holding on to Travo having any relevance rest of the season.
24:11Cause I don't think Ramondre's role is going to diminish that much, but I think Travo's, if he's not efficient on his
24:18touches and Kiner comes in, that sucks. Uh, on the other side, Swift is an easy play.
24:23If Mononga guy, I mean, he's not practicing, so I can't imagine my guys back in there.
24:29Not, not at all. Not on the short week.
24:32And Roshan seems terrifying against new England. Yeah. Roshan, you're hoping you get a touchdown.
24:37You're hoping you get a, well, yeah, a touchdown, but it's like four catches that that's where it will.
24:43You have to sneak, you have to PPR scam your way or you're hope you're hoping for a blowout.
24:49You're hoping that the Patriots of the first two weeks shows up again.
24:53Um, and, and you get Roshan in cause you were right.
24:57It was eight carries to two carries Roshan to Deandre Swift in the fourth quarter.
25:02And while it ended up as a close game, they were blowing the tarnations out of them at that, at that point.
25:09They didn't think it would be a close game at the end.
25:13So, um, they had zero tarnations left. Yeah. Uh, they were all blown out of it.
25:18But Swift, I think is just a fantastic play each and every week.
25:22It doesn't matter the matchup, good matchup, bad matchup.
25:25Swift is, he's the clear lead back on a great offense.
25:29I mean, there's only been one week this season.
25:32He wasn't a top 24 back. Uh, AJ Brown, Demario Douglas, Hunter Henry, primary pass catchers in a game where they have an implied point total of 24.
25:41So, I mean, who else is he throwing the ball to?
25:45Maybe he's been the number one quarterback. I don't know.
25:48Kyle Williams, I mean, could have a play, but it feels like those are the three guys that are catching the ball.
25:55Yeah. I think AJ Brown will have a nice bounce back game.
25:59He, he got 10 targets last week. We talked about if he catches them.
26:04Yeah. If he, if he caught him last week, he would have been like, you know, seven for 80 and a touchdown.
26:11Um, and we'd be talking about, Oh, how awesome.
26:14Um, AJ Brown is a, is a primetime guy.
26:17I think at Thursday night football, he's going to, he's going to show out.
26:21I think that one's going to be fun to watch.
26:25Yeah. It'll be a fun game. All right. Uh, don't drop your first pass.
26:29Just don't do it. It was so much more than the drops to me.
26:34He just looked rickety. I mean, he's coming back off of an ankle injury that he has.
26:39You should have waited if that's the case. Maybe.
26:42It's hard. It's hard to pass on the game.
26:45Any other thoughts on this one you want to call out?
26:49To cover anything on Caleb? I'm really excited. I think both quarterbacks just have to be started.
26:54Caleb and Drake may, it's a tough matchup, but, um, these guys are too good for fantasy.
27:00They run the ball and they can each throw three touchdowns.
27:03All right. We have a ton of questions, a lot of stuff going on in fantasy.
27:09We want to help out the foot clan. Let's do it right now.
27:13Mailbag. I didn't think you were going to flourish.
27:16I did. I was trying to jump in and help.
27:19You kind of sound like a cat. We got voicemail questions.
27:23We got your questions that you sent in from the website, the fantasy footballers.com.
27:27Click that submit a question button, the voicemail hotline 302-464-TFFB.
27:31To the guy that called in and messed up his question this week.
27:35We heard you. It was awesome. Thank you. First question here is a voicemail.
27:39Hey, footballers. This is Andrew from Baltimore. Just wondering, do I stay in the fire fire with, uh, Stroud or do I go with Joe Burrow against Baltimore?
27:49Thanks. Ooh. Ooh. So Joey Burrow plays the Baltimore Ravens.
27:52CJ Stroud gets the Giants. The Giants is the much better matchup and Stroud has absolutely been cooking.
27:58I have, they're, they're of course back to back in my ring cause I've Stroud one spot higher.
28:04I mean, this is the ultimate play the stud versus stay in the flame situation.
28:08I, you know, what do you expect McCarthy to be able to do against Houston?
28:13Because a lot of these games this year, we've been surprised at how many points Houston's given up.
28:19One of the things that I like about CJ Stroud right now, because when I look at this game against the Giants,
28:26my biggest worry is they're not going to need to throw the ball, right?
28:31You, you, you get up, you, you can, you can handle JJ McCarthy.
28:35You can pick him off, do a pick six, pick six, pick six is the biggest threat.
28:41And now you're like, well, game's over. They they're just going to run the ball.
28:46I don't know that they can get with who I don't know that they can run the ball.
28:52So they will have to there. If they score 21 points is because CJ Stroud has three passing touchdowns or they have a pick six.
29:00Yeah, exactly. So this is where the, the lack of a running game right now for Houston.
29:05I'm going to stay in the flames. I think I'm sticking with Stroud was Stroud.
29:10I'll play Burrow. All right. I'd have a hard time sitting them down.
29:14I like Stroud this week a lot, but I, I don't think Burrow is, I mean, Lamar should be back or could be back.
29:22Could be. Um, that's the way I'd go. Question here.
29:26A lot of questions about him. Uh, we talked about him earlier to Jimmy writing in is Brees Hall and automatic start.
29:33If he comes back this week or are you waiting a week?
29:37It is the Miami matchup. Yeah, I would throw him right back.
29:41I agree. Uh, you, you might, you might be disappointed.
29:44You might learn that he's in more of a timeshare than, than before, especially in the first week back.
29:50But in a matchup against Miami, a guy who was, you know, a top 15 back first two weeks before he got injured looked great.
29:58I would throw him right in my lineup. We're talking about such awful running backs to start.
30:04I'd be happy to have Brees in my lineup.
30:07Uh, Oli Gordon's been awesome. When you play Oli Gordon or Brees Hall back in your lineup, because Gordon's, Gordon's numbers are great.
30:14Uh, no, I, I think that that is a worthy pivot.
30:18I mean, if you had, if your last spot was between Brees Hall and Oli Gordon, I think I would go Oli Gordon.
30:25Um, he has looked fantastic. He got, uh, all the work over Jalen Wright.
30:30The matchup is fine. Coming off a bye. Uh, yeah.
30:33I mean, Oli Gordon is in, in and of himself.
30:36I think a good play. Okay. Another voicemail question.
30:39Hey, footballers. Love listening to the show. I'm needing to upgrade my receiver position and I'm wanting to trade Garrett Wilson and
30:47Omarion Hampton for possibly a J Brown. Let me know what your thoughts are.
30:51I just need a more consistent player, uh, at receiver.
30:54Thank you. Bye. More consistent than Garrett Wilson. Garrett Wilson and Omarion Hampton being traded for a J Brown.
31:01Um, no, I don't, I don't think I would do that.
31:04Uh, I mean the Garrett Wilson is, has been, uh, pretty darn good this year.
31:09He's had four, four good games to stinkers. Yeah.
31:12And one of the stinkers was this last week against Christian Gonzalez where he, he, he came out and said there is no rivalry.
31:20Like he's Christian Gonzalez has won every matchup he's ever had against Garrett Wilson.
31:24He's just, he's got Garrett Wilson's number. Um, you know, obviously they will play new England again and that will be in
31:32the, in the playoffs fantasy play in week 16.
31:35That is a shame, but Garrett Wilson has been very, very good.
31:39We don't know what AJ Brown's going to be.
31:41Um, yeah, that's the, that's the part about AJ Brown that I think is standing out to me is, you know, he's
31:49a, he's a complicated player to evaluate. Is the rapport going to be there with Drake may?
31:54I mean, some of the drops, some of the report needs to develop over time.
31:59Um, we haven't seen it yet in new England.
32:02He's had his on and off days with Jalen hurts in Philadelphia.
32:06It's coming off a high ankle sprain. Evaluating AJ Brown rest of season.
32:10Like there's tremendous upside. There's, there's some questions in my head though.
32:14Now have you factored in, you do get to remove Hampton from your team?
32:19If you did this trade, well, they, they, I think you might get this trade to go through.
32:25If you offer Garrett Wilson for AJ Brown straight up.
32:28I don't know if you can get it to go through.
32:31If you add Hampton in there. So funny. And by the way, Mike McDaniel is still the offensive coordinator and there's been
32:39talk of them simplifying play calling to make it please do less confusing.
32:43Well, you can't have, I will say this. You cannot have a complicated scheme with four rookies on your offensive line.
32:50Like, you know what I mean? Like it's so complicated.
32:53It's a pattern that they've lost all their offensive linemen.
32:56They've got a slew of rookies having to be forced into starting.
33:00You have to have, you have to have a simple blocking scheme.
33:04Rest of the season. Would you rather have AJ Brown or Carnell Tate?
33:08Donnie wants to know. Ooh, that's interesting. Um, I'm, I'm on the AJ Brown side there.
33:14I still believe here's my belief for AJ Brown.
33:17I think the next two or three weeks he'll, he'll look like himself.
33:21Sometimes it'll be a, a slow, you know, getting back from this ankle injury.
33:25Um, he might not be at a hundred percent.
33:28I genuinely believe AJ Brown will be at the end of the season, a, a, a difference making, you know, top 10 wide receiver in the fantasy playoffs.
33:37Okay. Uh, next question from Chris in Southern California.
33:40Should I start Tony Pollard this week against the Cleveland defense or Jalen Waddle against Arizona in his flex?
33:47Oh man. Wait, say that again. It's Tony Pollard or Jalen Waddle this week.
33:51I would go, I would go Jalen Waddle. Um, I think this is a, a bounce back game for Waddle against Arizona.
33:58Arizona looked great against the Rams this last week.
34:01You can be like, Oh, they, they shut down their wide receivers.
34:05There's, there's questions there on how much of this was that this horrifically bad defense, it's giving up 30 points every single week to everyone.
34:13Just all of a sudden they got good or they got to play, you know, the floor just came from the Rams knows their system knows their scheme.
34:23Um, I watched a video talking about how just perfectly scheme wise, every, every defensive play was like, we knew what was, what the call was.
34:31Um, I don't think the Cardinals defense is good.
34:34And I think Waddle has a bounce back. Um, Mason wants to know what an appropriate haul is for Jamar Chase that he needs depth on his team.
34:43Kyle said he traded Chase away in a home league this past week when he was on by for depth.
34:50Kyle, our Kyle, our Kyle. He traded it. What was your hall?
34:54It was Nico Collins. Okay. Jalen Warren and Dak, but he gave up chase and shuck.
34:59Oh, I don't think I would've died. I don't think I would've done it.
35:03Kyle is here, right? Yeah, I think so. Bad work, Kyle.
35:07I won. So I'm great. Oh yeah. Okay. Just one week.
35:11The problem with Jamar Chase and players like that is like, there's really not an appropriate haul.
35:16Did you need to survive? What's your record? I'm four and two now.
35:20Okay. He's just, he's, he's, he's, that's a tough one.
35:24Was it at least tough? I needed running back depth as well.
35:28Like it was easy. That sounds like it was easy.
35:31Yeah. No, getting Nico is a, is a good start.
35:34You have to get an absolute known stud is the problem when you're trading away Jamar Chase and then, and then a true depth piece.
35:42Yeah. The Warren part is tough. Cause it's like, if you had set a different name in there, uh, if it was Jacobs, would you have felt different?
35:51I would have felt better with Jacobs simply because the Warren Rico split, like Warren was unbelievable in the games that Rico was gone.
35:59They said, well, we're still going to work in Rico when he gets back, he got back and they, they did.
36:06And Jalen Warren, you know, didn't have a very good game.
36:10So, um, I worry that the upside that we see what Warren can do, he won't be allowed to do.
36:16I agree. But Warren still was the primary guy over Rico.
36:20So yeah, would you rather have Jalen Warren or Chuba Hubbard?
36:23Chuba. Yeah. Leaps and bounds. I agree. Unfortunately. What a world.
36:27Yeah. Here we are. Jamison Williams or George Pickens.
36:30Uh, is that for this week? Is that for life?
36:33I fit dad life. 89 wants to know. Well, it's his life is in the name.
36:38So Jamo's had a couple of good weeks. George Pickens has a more defined.
36:43I think. Yeah. I think he does a target share on the team.
36:47He definitely does. Should. That's who I would take.
36:50I'm going Pickens. Yeah. I would take Pickens. It wasn't.
36:54Cause so Pickens was 11 targets. So 13. And that was the game that CD got knocked out of, but 11 targets
37:01before that, or after that week three, he had 11 targets.
37:04Jamison Williams is just, it was like two. He caught two touchdowns this last week.
37:09He caught two. He had two receptions for two touchdowns.
37:12Like Jamison Williams can go off every week, but you need to get to have probably start cooking more often than not.
37:20Like Jamison. Yeah, he probably will. But again, I still take Pickens.
37:24Yeah. I lean. That Detroit offense is really humming.
37:26And you always get, it's nice. Cause you get the deep shots.
37:30No matter what you get it with both of them.
37:34They're very similar. Uh, but I, like I said, the target share is probably a little bit more guaranteed for Pickens.
37:41Although it's been weird. All right. We'll take a break.
37:44We'll jump into some more questions. This question comes in from YouTube at danger, doom 23.
37:49If there's not a rule in place to set a full lineup every week, is it wrong to remove a player that
37:56hasn't played if your week is already won by a couple of points?
38:00So we see this most often when people are like, I'm up by a couple points.
38:06Should I just bench my defense, which I don't ever have a problem with.
38:10I think that's good strategy. Uh, if you don't have a rule against it, there's a very different thing between not fielding
38:17a lineup to try to lose or not fielding a lineup to ensure a victory.
38:22Like the goal here, everybody, every team needs to be trying to win.
38:27Um, if you're like, Oh, I, I'm going to win.
38:30If I play my quarterback, take my quarterback out.
38:33That's, that's nonsense. That's, that's not in the spirit of the game.
38:37That's, uh, without a rule. I don't think you should be able to do that.
38:42Um, to, to say I'm up and I want to ensure that I'm up.
38:46Sure. I win. And I, what if I, my defense goes out and scores negative four.
38:51Yeah. Pull that guy. That's just good strategy playing to win.
38:55Um, and if you don't have a rule against it, I, you know, definitely in my opinion, you're playing fantasy football, you're
39:02playing within the confines of your rules. You just, you have to know how it works.
39:07Like there are, you, uh, a, there's, there's features on platforms like sleeper where you can, it can be toggled on and off.
39:15You can drop a player after they have played.
39:18If you, if it allows it, like other people might get upset about it, but if this is in the rules of
39:25the game that you are playing, then go ahead and do it.
39:29You have to like, that's the, that's where you're operating.
39:32That's your playground. Yeah. I would definitely do it.
39:35I mean, there's no world where I wouldn't unless, um, no, no, the rules of your league.
39:41Like if I am on the playoff bubble and your tiebreaker is points scored.
39:45Right. And, um, and I look like, Hey, it's probably going to be me and two other teams tied for that last spot.
39:53Well, then you need more points for the, for the season long.
39:57Don't, don't hurt yourself in the total points you could score.
40:00But outside of that. Yeah. Just ensure you win.
40:03Rest of season question on YouTube from Ely Denzel Boston or Jordan Tyson.
40:08Who would you rather have on your roster rest of season?
40:11Boston. I think it has to be Boston. I feel pretty confident.
40:15Yeah. I think I'm as bullish as anyone on Jordan Tyson.
40:19I just traded for Jordan Tyson. I don't know.
40:22It's a win. It's a win question. Yeah. I don't know when he comes back and then, you know, how slow it
40:29didn't tell Boston has been good now is on the field.
40:32So yeah, I would, I would go Boston. Um, okay.
40:36I did like in, in your, in your, um, your rookie draft redo on the dynasty show that Tyson stayed right there.
40:43Yeah. He was what the third pick behind Colonel Tate and Jeremiah love.
40:47That's absolutely where I still think he belongs, but in, in playing for this year, no, I would take Boston.
40:54All right. Um, another followup on the rest of season question.
40:57Colson Loveland, Dalton Kincaid rest of season. I think I'd feel better about Colston.
41:02Yeah, man. I, I, I, I lean Kincaid for upside.
41:05I don't know that Dalton Schultz, Dalton Schultz for Loveland is.
41:09Has has been displayed for a longer period of time.
41:12Yeah. But I, I guess for Dalton Schultz, the, the issue I have is.
41:17Why is Dalton Schultz involved in the equation? Wait, what was the question?
41:21I thought it was Schultz versus Kincaid. Well, I misheard.
41:24Colson Loveland or Kincaid. Oh, that's. But let me ask you this.
41:28If it was Schultz or Kincaid, who would you go with?
41:32I would go with Kincaid. Yeah. See? Yeah, but totally.
41:35Let me, let me just, I can't believe we were able to like discuss again here.
41:40Let me dig in here. I don't know if you thought it was Schultz.
41:45No, for sure. Cause if you thought it was Schultz, you wouldn't have had such a.
41:50That's what I'm saying. Analytical deep approach to it.
41:53It was like who in the world would consider Schultz in that situation?
41:57I, I, I was surprised. That's why I was pulling up.
42:01You were trying to give him credence? No, I was because Schultz had his big game, but when all the other wide
42:08receivers were out and Kincaid's been bad, but no Loveland versus Kincaid, I'd go Loveland.
42:13Good. We're with you. Next question. Will Jeremiah Love bounce back?
42:16This is easy. Don't answer without being prepared. All right.
42:20With Marv on the team now and tank being back, I'll go love.
42:24Dang. Yeah. But do you think that love will actually bounce back this year?
42:28I absolutely do. I believe that he is. Would you still try to acquire him?
42:33I would. It it's team dependent. You can't be a team that's sitting there two and four right now and go acquire love.
42:41But if you are playoff bound and a team that is the team that has Jeremiah Love, they probably have a bad record.
42:48Like, you know, I there's always those posts of players on the teams that are oh and six, the most commonly rostered players.
42:56Jordan Love is going to Jeremiah Love is going to be one of those players.
43:01Did you see the numbers, Jason? This is a you'll enjoy this this past week.
43:06So week six, it was the highest percentage of if you had this player, you won.
43:11And there was Kenneth Walker. If you had it, he was you were like a 70 something percent win.
43:17Oh, that's cool. Christian McCaffrey in the 70s. Nice.
43:20I had both of those. Yeah. How'd you do against me?
43:24And I lost the rest of my team took such a steamer.
43:28There's also likely in pits, which. Yeah. I wonder what the odds were with likely or pits.
43:33Probably pretty high. Pretty high. So would you play Dak against Philly this week or Bo Nix against Arizona?
43:39Both games are on the road. Dak. So I.
43:42Bo Nix needs to rattle off about eight great games before I think about it.
43:47See that I made this decision out. I'll just be very transparent about it and doesn't feel good.
43:53And after I made it this morning, it still doesn't feel good.
43:57It feels bad because I. This is just the psychology of fantasy when a player has performed before they're on a good team.
44:04You just want to kind of project what they've done before.
44:08I dropped Bo Nix. I have a Josh Allen buy and Bo Nix was my pickup a couple weeks ago because that's like they play Arizona.
44:17That should be. And it's, you know, it's in Arizona.
44:20Should be. But who gives a crap? It should be a dominating performance.
44:24And then I went and like, you just look at Bo Nix this year.
44:29Like there's one game you're happy with. One. There's also a seven point game, a six point game, a ten point game.
44:36Oh my goodness. And I signed Gino freaking Smith.
44:39Yeah, I support this. To play over Bo Nix this week.
44:42I support it. And I'm looking at it and I'm like, man, Bo Nix would look cooler on my lineup, but I need to win.
44:51Get out of here, Bo Nix. Moving you down.
44:53Um, man. Instagram question from Keenan. Do you enjoy playing reader after dynasty more?
44:58Redraft more than dynasty. Keeper more than both. Keeper more than both.
45:02Keepers are league of record. What if you had my dynasty team?
45:06Oh, okay. That's would you a whole lot. All right.
45:09That's enough. We're done. We're done. You know, you can do it.
