A.J. Brown

PositiveProjection9:09

There is hope he practices this week per Mike Rabel; the source believes AJ Brown will be a league winner in the fantasy playoffs, though there may be a slow start upon return; Drake Maye has looked much improved and still needs a weapon like AJ Brown.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeBust34:30

Rookie for Washington was disappointing; faces the Niners (best team in NFL) next before a bye week, making him a difficult pickup despite the source's acknowledgment that chasing him is still an option.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeRole8:57

Caught on camera tapping and pointing to the sideline before the game-losing turnover, signaling he did not want to be substituted out; the source notes this is brutal team awareness and suggests potential role or usage concerns.

Insight page

Brandin Cooks

PositiveRole8:31

Next man up in the 49ers receiver room with Debo Samuel sidelined; had one catch for a touchdown in recent action.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

PositiveBreakout34:53

Jacksonville tight end being involved more and more with double-digit targets in recent weeks; had 7 catches for 68 yards with one tackle near the goal line and two touchdowns, demonstrating the upside potential that made Jeremy Bernard attractive; low cost to acquire on waivers.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeRole35:36

Tennessee quarterback whose performance impacts Darren Waller's fantasy outlook; if Bryce Young continues to perform well, Waller could be a solid tight end option.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue22:26

The source speaker owns Bucky Irving and considers him a solid roster piece, using him as a reference point when evaluating other running back waiver options like Kenny Gainwell and Sean Tucker as potential handcuff insurance.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeInjury8:47

There is talk of Caleb playing in Week 6 against the Falcons; status unclear but being discussed as a possibility.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeInjury31:52

Lamb is dealing with a quad injury that was initially reported as nothing to worry about at the time of the game, but no recent updates have been provided. The uncertainty around his status makes him a concern for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveUsage13:07

Christian Watson is receiving deep downfield passes from Jordan Love in the Packers' efficient offense; the source highlights Love's ability to connect with Watson on bombs downfield as part of the reason the Packers offense was clicking well.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

NegativeUsage0:01

Dalton Kincaid, despite running 82% of routes for the Bills tight end position, finished with only 1 catch for 7 yards in Week 6, a dramatic decline from his weeks 1-2 production; the source sarcastically notes 'Bet you wish you started Kyle Pitts this week, Mike,' highlighting the disappointment.

Insight page

Darius Cooper

NegativeBust28:41

Darius Cooper went 2 for 71 yards with a touchdown this past week, giving him seven catches on the season with four touchdowns total. The source notes this is unsustainable projection—seven catches on the year is tough—and expects Cooper to lose snaps when Devontae Smith returns, despite leading the team in snaps at 90% and 85% the last two weeks without Smith.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveValue35:36

Tennessee tight end now past his bye week; has been used around the goal line with a couple of big performances; if Bryce Young continues to perform well, Waller could be a solid option; no longer dealing with bye-week concerns going forward.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveRole47:19

Adams is unstoppable around the goal line and is schemed up in the McVay combo with high-point ball ability. He had two touchdowns last night in a good game, though he only had seven targets (not 24). Adams' role in the red zone and with Puka drawing volume makes him a consistent scoring threat.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeInjury7:03

Week to week with a groin injury; the Texans' acquisition of Marvin Harrison Jr. and the team's pass-first offensive approach will make the backfield tough for Montgomery going forward.

Insight page
NegativeRole13:52

David Montgomery's role could potentially be threatened by Woody Marks if Marks performs well with his opportunity, though the source does not expect this to happen; Montgomery remains the primary back for the Dolphins.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeInjury8:06

Will miss at least a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury; creates opportunity for other 49ers receivers.

Insight page

Demario Douglas

NegativeBust33:42

The source is not chasing this player on waivers; deprioritized in favor of other options.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveDepth Chart28:18

Devontae Smith is returning, which will impact snap distribution for other Eagles receivers like Darius Cooper, who has been leading the team in snaps (90% and 85% the last two weeks) in Smith's absence.

Insight page
NegativeRole29:22

When Devontae Smith returns from injury, Cooper (Dontavian Wicks) will lose snaps. Smith's return will impact the snap distribution, with Wicks expected to see reduced playing time despite his recent success.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeBust24:54

DK Metcalf is described as "just a wet fart of a wide receiver anymore," indicating severe disappointment with his recent production. While the process suggests starting him, the source expresses strong emotional resistance to watching him play, suggesting his fantasy value has deteriorated significantly.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection9:09

Has looked much improved and back to being what was hoped; still needs a weapon like AJ Brown to maximize potential; the source believes he will be strong come the end of the year.

Insight page

Germie Bernard

PositiveBreakout23:47

Germie Bernard (spelled G-E-R-M-I-E), a second-round rookie for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is the source's number one waiver pickup heading into Week 6. He has shown flashes with eight targets in Week 2 (4 for 35 yards) and nine targets in Week 5 (6 for 80 yards); with Michael Pittman on IR and Roman Wilson injured, Bernard is receiving increased opportunity. A team quote noted that "football just comes easy for him." The source expects him to be highly contested on waivers and notes he plays the entire field and appears very reliable, though potentially a good NFL receiver rather than a fantasy star.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveProjection44:44

If Jameis plays a whole game, he will end up with so many counting stats; he's going to throw for 300 yards and might throw for three touchdowns. This is a great matchup against the Saints, and their pace of play makes this a target game. The source identifies him as the number one waiver wire pickup overall by a mile for the week.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeUsage0:34

James Cook was outrushed by Josh Allen in Week 6; the source describes the Bills' offense as 'Josh Allen and James Cook running,' but Allen's 121 rushing yards dominated the backfield touches, suggesting Cook's usage was limited despite the game script.

Insight page
NegativeBust48:40

James Cook fumbled twice last night and has a fumbling problem with 11 fumbles on the season. The source notes that Cook and Scadaraboo were positioned to lose their team the game before being bailed out, indicating fumble concerns are a real issue for his fantasy value.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeDepth Chart11:27

Joe Burrow and the Bengals are on bye this week, making him unavailable for fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveMatchup45:19

After heating up last week, Jordan Love faces the Dallas Cowboys, whose defense is 31st in EPA per dropback and 32nd in dropback success rate. Over the next three weeks, Love plays the 26th worst defense for fantasy quarterbacks, the 31st worst defense, and the 27th worst defense for fantasy purposes. He's available in about 40% of leagues and is positioned for a strong stretch.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury29:54

Tyson won't practice this week and remains rostered in approximately 65% of leagues, likely on IR spots. The source expresses skepticism about his fantasy viability, noting he could become a roster clog. Tyson was drafted 8th overall as a top-10 wide receiver pick but has dealt with recurring hamstring injuries; he re-aggravated his hamstring after showing highlight-reel production early in his healthy stretch with the Saints.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout31:18

Despite injury concerns, Tyson offers significant upside if he returns healthy. As the 8th overall pick and a top-10 wide receiver prospect, there is a realistic path where he and Olave dominate the Saints' fast-paced offense, potentially becoming a top-15 wide receiver. Additionally, if Valle or Olave suffer injury, Tyson has the pedigree and draft capital to step in and dominate—an opportunity most waiver-wire players lack.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveUsage0:28

Josh Allen dominated the Bills' offense in Week 6 against the Rams with 121 rushing yards and 12 completed passes; the source notes the offense was essentially 'Josh Allen and James Cook running,' indicating Allen's rushing volume was the primary offensive weapon despite the high-scoring game environment.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveUsage32:42

Out-targeted Keenan Allen in recent action, which is notable given Allen's typical target volume; Downs had nine targets in his last game before going down to Andrew.

Insight page
PositiveUsage32:42

Josh Downs was out-targeted by Keenan Allen in Allen's return game, with Allen drawing nine targets compared to Downs' lower target share. This suggests Allen's return has impacted Downs' target volume.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveUsage32:30

Keenan Allen drew nine targets in his return game last week, out-targeting Josh Downs. He also had nine targets in his last game before going down, suggesting consistent target volume. While nine targets doesn't guarantee 115 yards, it demonstrates strong usage and opportunity.

Insight page
NegativeUsage32:42

Was out-targeted by Josh Downs in recent action; had nine targets in his last game before going down to Andrew, establishing a baseline for target volume expectations.

Insight page

Kendrick Bourne

PositiveSleeper27:29

The source calls Kendrick Bourne a huge pickup, highlighting his eight targets in the past week and productive games in the absence of Marvin Harrison. Arizona passes frequently due to having no running game and faces high over-unders every week with an abysmal defense, making Bourne an attractive wide receiver target.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeBust22:54

Kenny Gainwell has been a significant disappointment in 2024, posting 2.6 yards per carry on the year with only 11 catches in five games; his performance is drastically different from his 2023 form, and he ranks RB48 despite being rostered on some teams. The source notes he's been the least efficient runner imaginable and has produced only 2, 3, 2, 9, 7, and 4 points across his games.

Insight page
NegativeRole35:32

Philadelphia running back example of Aaron Rodgers' camp trust translating to on-field production; Rodgers trusted Gainwell last year and threw to him frequently, establishing a precedent for how Rodgers' camp endorsements can predict usage.

Insight page

Khalil Shakir

NegativeUsage0:56

Khalil Shakir received only 3 targets in Week 6 against the Rams, indicating minimal receiving role in the Bills' run-heavy offense dominated by Josh Allen's rushing.

Insight page
NegativeRole48:28

Khalil Shakir had an overtime play that brought him down to the 20-yard line, indicating some involvement in the Bills offense, though he was noted as the only productive wide receiver for Buffalo in a game where the team struggled at the position.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeMatchup0:05

Kyle Pitts is referenced sarcastically by the source as an alternative to Dalton Kincaid in Week 6; the implication is that Pitts would have scored more than Kincaid's 1 catch for 7 yards, though no specific Pitts stat is provided.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveUsage12:27

Lloyd scored two touchdowns in Week 6 despite modest efficiency (10 for 31 on the date), benefiting from an efficient Packers offense with Jordan Love connecting downfield to Christian Watson; the source notes this was not a sudden breakout but rather a beneficiary performance, though he showed physicality by putting his shoulder down and breaking through a defender.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup13:52

Lloyd faces Dallas this week, a favorable matchup; the source prefers starting Lloyd against the Cowboys over Woody Marks against Jacksonville longer term, suggesting Dallas presents a better opportunity for production.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveProjection46:15

Stafford is a must start this week against Arizona with an implied point total of 33. He's averaging 48 pass attempts per game, which is exceptional volume. The source highlights him as a final consideration for teams looking to start him over someone else. His playoff schedule includes Arizona, Raiders, Chargers, Washington, Arizona, Green Bay (post-bye), Kansas City, and San Francisco in week 14, with Seattle in the middle of the playoffs.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveInjury8:39

Falcons are optimistic he will be able to play in Week 6 against the Bears; potential return is positive for Atlanta's passing game.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveInjury24:00

Michael Pittman Jr. is on injured reserve, which has opened up target opportunity for Germie Bernard and other Steelers receivers.

Insight page
NegativeRole35:15

Aaron Rodgers talked down Michael Pittman at camp, contrasting his negative assessment with his positive endorsements of Pat Freiermuth and Roman Wilson.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

NegativeDepth Chart11:27

Ollie Gordon and the Dolphins are on bye this week, making him unavailable for fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveBreakout34:53

Green Bay tight end with Aaron Rodgers' trust and support; Rodgers talked up Freiermuth at camp as much as he talked down Michael Pittman, specifically praising how good Freiermuth and Roman Wilson were; Rodgers has a history of trusting camp standouts (e.g., Kenny Gainwell last year), suggesting Freiermuth could see significant volume; low cost to acquire on waivers.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveUsage0:44

Puka Nakua received 24 targets in Week 6 against the Bills, the source notes this was 'could not be more imbalanced' relative to the rest of the Rams offense, highlighting his extreme target concentration and role as the primary receiving weapon.

Insight page
PositiveUsage48:03

Puka had 24 targets in the game, matching Justin Herbert's pass attempts. This exceptional target volume (more targets than Josh Allen threw in his game) demonstrates Puka's central role in the Rams offense and his value as a high-volume receiver.

Insight page

Raheim Sanders

NegativeInjury6:42

Hurt; contributes to the Broncos backfield being depleted alongside Judkins.

Insight page
NegativeInjury7:22

Injured; contributes to Browns backfield depletion alongside Jaylen Judkins ankle injury.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole6:47

Becomes hyper relevant again after a decent week with Travion Henderson sidelined by high ankle sprain; positioned to see increased backfield touches.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

PositiveInjury24:00

Roman Wilson is injured, reducing target competition for other Steelers receivers like Germie Bernard.

Insight page
PositiveRole35:15

Green Bay wide receiver received Aaron Rodgers' positive camp endorsement alongside Pat Freiermuth; Rodgers specifically praised how good Roman Wilson was at camp.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

NegativeRole23:43

Sean Tucker is mentioned as a potential handcuff/insurance option for Bucky Irving owners, suggesting he could be a viable backup running back to target on waivers if seeking to protect against Irving's injury risk.

Insight page

Tre Harris

NegativeBust33:42

The source is done chasing this player; no longer a waiver priority.

Insight page

Ty Johnson

NegativeUsage0:48

Ty Johnson led the Bills' receiving targets outside of the game's extreme imbalance with 4 targets in Week 6, indicating he was the secondary receiving option behind the Josh Allen rushing attack and well behind the Rams' Puka Nakua.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveRole7:18

Has been the better running back over the course of the year; with Montgomery sidelined, Marks is positioned to get everything in the backfield, and if he has a couple of good games, the backfield can flip in his favor.

Insight page
NegativeRole11:57

Marks is taking over the running back role for a while following an injury to another back; the source notes he is probably the better player than Lloyd but his opportunity might be temporary, and there is a world where he could usurp David Montgomery if he performs well, though the source does not think that will happen.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup13:52

Marks faces Jacksonville this week, a tough matchup; the source also notes he has a bye week coming up after this game, making him a less attractive long-term pickup despite the temporary opportunity.

0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:05Welcome in. Good morning everybody. What a Monday night.
0:08What a football game. That was quite the game.
0:11It was very bizarre. It was a very bizarre football game.
0:1537-34. It's funny because in the first half it's like, oh, wasn't this game 54.5 points?
0:20It's like supposed to be a high-scoring game because it's like late.
0:24You know, I think we're going into the second half or something.
0:287-13, like the defensive slugfest it felt like. Yeah, and Josh Allen completed 12 passes, guys.
0:34He also out. And they scored 37. He outran James Cook.
0:37He had 121 rushing yards. It was a crazy, crazy game.
0:41The offense was Josh Allen and James Cook running.
0:44And then on the other side, 24 targets for Puka Nakua.
0:4824. It could not be more imbalanced. The leading, the most targets on the Buffalo Bills that I'm seeing would be Ty Johnson at four.
0:56Khalil Shakir had three. And then tight end superstar from weeks one and two.
1:01Oh, yeah. Dalton Kikade. I remember him. Ran 82% of the routes.
1:05Bet you wish you started Kyle Pitts this week, Mike.
1:08Yeah. That would have been more points than one catch for seven yards.
1:13Yeah. I mean, Mike is obviously. What do you do with this?
1:17Well, talk about it. I mean, it's waiver day.
1:20We got the Monday Night Football game. Big show.
1:23But yesterday was not all Monday Night Football. No, it was not.
1:27We had our event that trended top 10 on Twitter.
1:30Thank you, Foot Clan. Thank you for participating in Andy's Hole.
1:34Hashtag Andy's Hole, which got up to top 10.
1:37We were number nine in the United States of America.
1:40That was a good time on X. Yeah. We headed out at about, I don't know.
1:45I started at like 1045 yesterday morning on this very easy task of hitting a hole in one.
1:51So easy. And, you know, people don't know really what happened.
1:55They were following along. It was rain. It was torrential downpour at one point.
2:00And this dog, this absolute dog was out there just swinging in the rain.
2:04We're all under canopies. I was hiding as much as I could.
2:08Oh, I don't want to be wet. No. He's soaking wet out there.
2:13What is rain? Swing. And you swung for basically 10 hours.
2:17Yeah. Thousands. 2,000, over 2,300 shots. Basically 2,400 shots.
2:20Body no longer working. How's your hand? A couple blisters.
2:23They feel broken. They feel broken. My left thumb is numb.
2:27It's still like just numb. I want to show, we're going to show the YouTube audience.
2:32Go to YouTube, youtube.com slash fantasyfootballers. This is Andy at the end of the night.
2:37Yeah. The last shot. Yeah. A lot of close calls.
2:40Oh, you golfed absolutely. You blew my mind. You were golfing so well that we were really upset on the green.
2:47We're like, this guy sucks. And in the nicest way.
2:51You were putting everything by that hole. But it's hard to get in hashtag.
2:55It is. Yeah. The, um, it was, uh, it's very small.
2:59It was a, it was a difficult trial to try to shoot that many shots.
3:04And for those that have asked, I saw on Twitter, it was about 130 yards out.
3:09And, um, anyways, we got, we have a clip.
3:12Andy at the end of the night, his, his couple final swings.
3:16Look at this man. But I'm done. I don't think I got it left.
3:21My left ankle has started hurting for no reason.
3:24Come on. Come on. Come on. Yeah. We are watching his hole in one that he got at the end of the night on the 2,399th shot.
3:33It was unbelievable. He's a king. A king among men.
3:36A king. Un, unreal. Oh my God. I still don't believe it.
3:41Oh my God. You have to go watch this.
3:44Get away. You called it. Yeah. We realize this is terrible podcast audio.
3:48So please go to YouTube if you want to see this video.
3:52Just people screaming. Also. Uh, if you didn't, couldn't tell they went in the hole.
3:57Yeah. Oh yeah. Hold on. Hold on. We're the greatest man of lives.
4:01I do have the official. Oh, it's all marked up.
4:05Hole in one. 10, 12, 20, 26. We are going to be putting together a full video of the day.
4:11I cannot believe it would have been. It was worth it.
4:15The stories, the journey. You want to see this video.
4:18So check that out. Make sure you subscribe. I know we're a fantasy football show.
4:23But this is a moment. This is 2.5. You just made a hole in one when you said you could after 24.
4:31100 shots. It's, it's an achievement of mankind. Well, and a shout out to the crew who kept me positive despite the
4:38body breaking down over 10 hours and 2,399 shots.
4:41I still, to this moment. I can't freaking believe you did it.
4:45Do not believe that that ball went in the hill.
4:48I, I didn't believe it until Mike ran all the way down the hill and he looked into the, into the hole.
4:56I had to make sure there was no shenanigans.
4:59I don't know what these people were doing. Yeah.
5:02So we had to beg this dog to stop and take five minute breaks here and there and get some electrolytes.
5:09And I, I don't think he rested more than 20 minutes over the whole 10 hours combined.
5:15I had one bathroom break, which probably meant I wasn't drinking enough, but, uh, but we got it done.
5:21So I, um, yeah, yeah. Enjoy the video. Matt's going to put something fun together to show the highlights of that day.
5:28But my goodness, what, what a Monday night. And we were watching the Monday night football game.
5:34Mike was given play by play. The, uh, the night was magical.
5:38So there you go. We, we had to reveal that cause I wasn't going to keep that in.
5:44No, there was no way I wasn't going to tell, uh, what happened after the end of the night.
5:50After you made a hole in one. After the hole in one.
5:54Unbelievable. Well, a hole in 2,399. This isn't a Marvin Harrison trade here.
5:59Uh, we got to talk about it. Oh wow.
6:02We haven't even talked about it. Yeah, we did.
6:05We did yesterday. Yeah. I don't remember that guy.
6:08But we, uh, we'll transition back to football here.
6:11Uh, you can go watch, watch what happened. YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers.
6:15News and notes from around the league. All right.
6:18Uh, Patriots running back Travion Henderson officially diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.
6:22He's going to be sidelined multiple weeks. That's oh, it's okay.
6:26They, they call them a fast healer. So the.
6:29Is that really what they said? Yeah. The healing speed of Travion.
6:33I mean, it's legendary. It's legendary. Might as well be Wolverine.
6:37Uh, he's probably, he's probably good to go right now.
6:40Also. Currently injured high ankle sprain and probably won't play.
6:44Live for a couple of weeks, but they won't need surgery.
6:47There you go. Um, Ramondre suddenly hyper relevant again after a decent week.
6:52Brown signed Odrick Estame from the Vikings practice squad with the Judkins injury day to day with an ankle.
6:58Oh yeah. Junkins. I'm sorry. Day to day with a, an ankle injury.
7:02Their backfield is just depleted at the moment. Raheem Sanders is hurt.
7:06Yes, he is. So Julian McLaughlin. Yeah. We're going to be talking about Julian McLaughlin as a waiver wire pickup.
7:13And he's perhaps an important one because, and look, he's on the Cleveland Browns.
7:18Everybody. You may not know that. Yeah. Yeah. He, he made one play this year.
7:23Uh, David Montgomery week to week with a groin injury tight.
7:26Uh, Texans have a buy in week eight. I mean that the Montgomery going away and the acquisition of Marvin Harrison jr.
7:34Like this is going to be a past first second and third team.
7:38It's, it's going to be tough for Montgomery. I think cause I, to my eyeballs, Woody Marks has been the better running
7:45back over the course of the year. And now that it's like, okay, we have to give Woody Marks everything.
7:52If Woody has a couple of good games, I think the backfield can flip.
7:57Devante Smith with the hamstring has a quote shot to return for week six, his game against the Panthers.
8:03Okay. So he might be back. That'd be good.
8:06Uh, Debo Samuel will miss at least a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.
8:11Brandon cooks is the quote next man up in the 49ers receiver room.
8:16Just think he had hits over there. He had one catch.
8:19It was a touchdown. Um, the Falcons are optimistic that Michael Pennix will be able to play in week six against the bears.
8:27There's also talk of Caleb playing in that game.
8:30Did you see the clip? I don't know the, I haven't dug into the context of it, but in the, in the
8:37huddle right before like the, the, the game losing turnover, Bijon's like tapping to a, it's like turning to around and pointing to the sideline.
8:46Like, no, no, no, you're not like sub him out.
8:49It was crazy. It was, I don't know what happened, but he definitely turns him around and points to the sideline.
8:56Like, whoa, two is two. It's like, why? That is so brutal.
9:00When the whole team just knows. Yeah. And then you go out and throw the pick and he gets, he still gets to be the backup.
9:09No, no for now. Yeah. AJ Brown. There's hope.
9:12Mike Rabel says that there is a chance he practices this week.
9:16Okay. But it could be good. I mean, Drake may looking much improved.
9:20I think AJ Brown will be a league winner in the fantasy playoffs.
9:25I don't know how fast he'll get off to, you know, when he gets back, is he going to have a couple
9:32of weeks where it's a slow start? That's possible.
9:35But I do think come the end of the year, Drake may has looked back to being what we hoped Drake may would be.
9:43And he still needs a weapon like AJ Brown.
9:46What is this news on Tyler shut coming through right now?
9:50There it is. This is from Jeff Nowak. Yeah.
9:53Asked directly whether Tyler Shuck's hand is broken. Quote, it got banged two weeks ago and he's just wearing some protective layers.
10:00Because if you saw Shuck's non-throwing hand, he's got the fingers taped together.
10:04And I mean, when it happened, you know, it's the, his hand took a pretty big shot.
10:10But I guess they're just saying, yeah, he's fine.
10:13He'll play through. Circling back to the AJ Brown thing.
10:16I will say I completely agree with you that there is a pretty good probability of AJ Brown being a league winning difference maker.
10:24And I am very terrified to make a trade for him right now.
10:29Sure. It's like. You're still taking on a bunch of risk.
10:32Yeah. It's like the injury risk than the Drake may like, you know, Jekyll and Hyde potential and, you know, more injuries.
10:40And I don't know. Like, I think that is true, but it would depend on the price for me.
10:46If somebody wants to get rid of him, I think it might be harder now with the news of practicing and Drake may playing well.
10:55But yeah. Any other news we got? Did you guys hear about I made a hole in one?
11:01I did. That was. I realized that my even reaction on this show is, is kind of muted because I'm, I'm more tired than I realized.
11:09I'm pretty dang. The adrenaline dropped just now. If that ball did not drop in the hole, I think we're doing a two man show with Jay Grizz.
11:19I mean, it really, all of the pain is now worth it.
11:23So you guys ready for the waiver wire? Go waiver wire presented by T-Mobile.
11:27All righty. We are getting the Chiefs and Panthers back from the bye.
11:32Welcome back. Ken Walker. Oh, my sweet. I am Ted McMillan.
11:35Ken Walker. This week though, Burrow and Chasen Higgins, the Bengals on the bye, Ollie Gordon and the Dolphins.
11:42Uh, you don't have the Lions. Jameer Gibbs goes to the bye on Ra, Laporta, all those guys golf has been playing well.
11:49And then the Vikings also on by this week, you know, between the injuries and the bye weeks, there is, you know,
11:57there's significant decisions to be made for every team.
12:00Like most people are not putting out the roster they drafted.
12:03They're putting out some other players. We got some big names to talk about on the waiver wire.
12:09So let's get into it with the running back position, uh, trying to keep these two, you know, lower rostered names, but
12:17the two at the very top that are starters, Marshawn Lloyd, Woody Marks, Woody Marks going to be taking over for a while.
12:25And Marshawn Lloyd finally showed a little something. Maybe when every pass you throw down field works, that defense is less inclined to try to stop you.
12:34But Marshawn Lloyd did put his shoulder down. He broke through a defender, scored later in the game.
12:40It was an impressive performance and you get Dallas this week.
12:43Yeah. The, I'm wondering, where are you guys with these two?
12:47Cause Lloyd scored two touchdowns and it, the, the play was, I mean, that's the good stuff for football is when someone
12:54absolutely gets truck stick, but he was 10 for 31 on the date.
12:59Like this was not a, all of a sudden, Oh, Marshawn Lloyd figured it out.
13:04We got the running game. No, he was a beneficiary of a couple.
13:08Yeah. Their, their offense was really clicking, especially with the, uh, Jordan love saying, Hey, check this out.
13:14And then he just bombs it downfield to Christian Watson.
13:17Uh, but you know, he, he's available in about close enough, close enough.
13:22I guess he's rostered in that. Uh, so it's less than that, but like Woody marks probably the better player, but his
13:29might be temporary and he's going up against Jacksonville this week.
13:33Yeah. I think this is a matter of, do you need to start this player?
13:38Do you have Jameer Gibbs on by and you need to pick someone up to start this week?
13:44Because if I was starting someone, I would rather start Marshall Marshall, Marshall Lloyd against the Cowboys than Woody marks against Jacksonville longer term.
13:52I actually, you know, Mike, you, you just said it.
13:55If, if Woody marks gets the opportunity and does perform well, there is a world where he could usurp David Montgomery.
14:02Now I don't think that's going to happen. I don't think either of these guys is a great long-term, uh, pickup in
14:10the sense that you've got a tough matchup this week for Woody marks, then a game, then a bi-week.
14:16So it's like, you're, you're not really looking at someone that's going to be great right now for the next month.
14:23And then putting your reliance in Marshawn Lloyd, who has looked pretty bad the majority of the year.
14:29Yes. The touchdown really saved them and he's got a good matchup.
14:33I'm not like, uh, going out there and dumping massive amounts of, of fab for either of these guys.
14:39I have Lloyd one spot ahead. We have no idea what's going on with Josh Jacobs.
14:45We had confirmation that the Packers have no information.
14:48Um, we are approaching that week six. I mean, we're going into week six right now, which is kind of the, the,
14:55uh, default, uh, starting point for a domestic violence suspension.
14:58Um, so he will be missing this week. That will be the six weeks.
15:03I don't know if at that point they start asking the Packers start going, okay, we need to hear something.
15:10Not that they have any control over it. I mean, we just don't know what in the world's going on.
15:17Like, is this a, like a, a standstill because the league won't act until it has the video and Jacobs won't provide the video.
15:25And they're trying to, and they're trying to basically force Jacobs to show the video at some point in time or the NFL PA gets involved.
15:33We have not heard any news in a while.
15:36I know Al Borland, our resident Packer fan here has been befuddled by the entire, right?
15:42I mean, you've just been like, what in the world's happening?
15:45Yeah, absolutely. Uh, and it's not just, uh, not just because I'm a Packer fan, but as a person that needs running
15:53back help on my team, I want to trade for Josh Jacobs, but I can't do it until I know.
15:59It's just, yeah. I, so starter wise, you might also see Damian Pierce starting this week against Carolina cause Shipley and, uh, tank Bigsby are on IR.
16:08Saquon is still questionable. He, Damian Pierce is almost available everywhere.
16:12Not an army, not an army. I know Mike's got him.
16:16Um, Kendra Miller, what did he do last week?
16:1910 for 30 and a score. Yeah. He looked okay.
16:22Uh, Camara was not great. Would you rather play Jay?
16:25Would you rather play Damian Pierce? But that's, it's an unknown.
16:29Like cause Saquon was week to week with the hamstring.
16:32I would say he probably misses, but there's, you know, let's just assume that he's out.
16:38But are you, would you rather play Damian Pierce against Carolina or Woody Marks against Jacksonville?
16:43Oh man. That's really tough. Carolina is such a bad team against the run specifically, but the offensive line injuries for the Eagles.
16:51Jacksonville is the team that absolutely shut down Philadelphia's run game.
16:55Like Damian Pierce was 11 for 14, but it wasn't all just a Pierce issue.
17:00I mean, a lot of it is, but Jacksonville is just, they are, they're very, very solid.
17:05Like right now they're number two as in like, they're the second worst matchup for running backs.
17:11Yeah. I think I lean Pierce over Woody Marks.
17:14You, you also could throw out Kendra Miller. I mean, this is why I'm not dumping fab on like I, there is
17:21an avenue here where you go, Hey, Marshawn Lloyd is a great start this week.
17:26Maybe he is, um, you know, he, he was 10 for 31.
17:30I will say this 26 snaps in the first three quarters, zero to Caleb Johnson.
17:35They, they beat the tar out of the bears.
17:38The fourth quarter is when Caleb Johnson came in and got nine years.
17:43So like it was Marshawn Lloyd and there was clarity to who like, but still vast majority to Lloyd.
17:49You might look at the snaps and go, Oh, at the end of the game, he was lower or whatever, but that
17:56was not how the game was playing out when they were in the game.
18:01If Lloyd was available on waivers in your league, which he is in, in about half of leagues.
18:07I'll ask Al Borland this just cause you were talking about running back depth.
18:12There's a chance Lloyd of all these names that we mentioned is the running back for the rest of the season for the Packers.
18:20What kind of fab would you be willing to drop out as somebody who's in the trenches fighting for running backs?
18:27If Marshawn Lloyd was sitting there, how much of your a hundred dollar fab budget would you pay to put them on your team?
18:35I think I'd go about 50. Yeah. I think, I think Lloyd is the one that he's already on my team and he's my RB one.
18:44Yeah. I said like a Packers fan and a hundred percent of that dropping 50.
18:49He's already on your team. He's your RB one.
18:52If I would, I'd probably drop 40 to 50 if I didn't have a running back or my running back was knocked
18:59out just because I think Lloyd has the highest odds of these players.
19:03Like Monty will come back at some point. Saquon might be back this week.
19:08Kendrick Miller has to deal with the return of HN plus Camara.
19:12Brian Robinson Jr. That's a backup player like Roshan.
19:15What in the world happened with Mike Washington Jr.
19:18This week? Yeah. That was bizarre. I mean, Jinty was, Jinty was so hurt.
19:23It was Dylan Laube. Dylan Laube. And I was like, is he hurt?
19:27Like he had one opportunity, one snap. And Ashton Jinty is like, Jinty's clearly hurt.
19:32He does not look anything remotely. Really hurt. Like we, and it's just, this is how it's going to be for the Raiders and Ashton Jinty.
19:41And you just got to hope that he keeps getting all those check downs because on the ground, Ashton Jinty right now is a disaster.
19:49Will Shipley just went down for multiple weeks due to what?
19:53A torn plantar fascia, which by the way, I think sometimes is the better path to healing on that injury.
20:00I remember that in the past with like Eli.
20:03That's what's on the table for Jinty. He's dealing with plantar fasciitis on top of the ankle injury.
20:09If he tears it, it will be a multi-week absence.
20:12That makes Jinty really trepidatious. Yeah, he's really, everything is just pure volume for him at this point.
20:18I mean, like still good in the receiving game, but on the ground, like he's at 3.3 yards per carry on the season.
20:26Yeah, that's kind of been the story with him the last two years.
20:30Julio McLaughlin could have an opportunity in Cleveland. They play Baltimore.
20:34Baltimore has been good against the run. Oh, yeah.
20:37That's a Sarah. Sarah, okay. Yeah, Sarah McLaughlin available.
20:40Goodness gracious. Keaton Mitchell, Emmitt Johnson, if you want to, you know, Emmitt needs to be on a roster.
20:46It is the season that you can cycle them, you can stash your favorite, but if you have spots on your bench
20:53right now where you're just like, eh, you have, I have this low tier wide receiver who it's like nothing's happening for them.
21:01There's no momentum. Start putting insurance running backs on your bench.
21:05Follow injuries. It's like, find the backup to the backup as well.
21:09I threw Damian Pierce on my bench over this weekend in League of Record because it's down to Will Shipley and Damian Pierce.
21:17Yeah, you always want, if you have an extra spot, you want to take the shots on those backups.
21:23Emmitt Johnson and Kalen Black, those two guys are available in the majority of leagues.
21:28Silly. Which is crazy to me. I mean, a bye week for Kansas City might have led to the number for Emmitt.
21:35Yeah, but those two guys must be rostered in all situations.
21:39And then there's also... And Roshan. Roshan, absolutely. Due to the Monunga, we know he's going to miss a couple weeks.
21:46There's also a running back out there playing the majority of snaps who had nine receptions this week that you still don't
21:53want to pick up, which is Tajay Spears. Nine receptions?
21:57Yeah. The Titans. Did you see... I mean, if you look at the first 21 games of Will Levis' career in Cam
22:04Ward's, Will Levis wins almost every category. More wins.
22:07Better numbers. The Titans have scored 20 points one time this year.
22:11Right now, you're basically targeting... 10, 7, 3. You're targeting teams' defenses, playing Miami, playing the Titans.
22:17It's wild. Chargers. Chargers? I mean, you're not wrong.
22:20And maybe Denver. Maybe. And the Giants. But that's not...
22:23That's because... And Tampa right now with Jalon Danielson.
22:26But we'll take a break and we'll get into the rest of the positions here as we talk waivers heading into week six.
22:34By the way, I was glancing like I have Bucky Irving, right?
22:38He's on my team. And I was like, well, this is good advice here on the show.
22:44Maybe I should just take a look at Kenny Gainwell and see if he's sitting out there.
22:49He shouldn't be on a roster. But lo and behold...
22:53He's my RB2. Yes! Al Borland. That's what I saw.
22:56Al Borland has Kenny Gainwell. How's that been working out for you?
23:00What's his performances? He's not actually my RB2. Okay.
23:03He is on your roster. He is. I think he was in my starting lineup this week.
23:09He has two points, three points, two points, nine points, seven and four.
23:13RB48. My team's hanging in there. Gainwell's looked nothing like Gainwell last year in any way.
23:18He's been the least efficient runner that I can imagine.
23:22I mean, he was, golly, he's 2.6 on the year.
23:25And you're like, well, he catches the ball, right?
23:28He's got 11 catches in five games. It's weird.
23:31So only a guy like Al would have him on his team.
23:35They gave him decent money, too. I mean, I'm sitting there going, like, if I was trying to insure Bucky Irving, it's probably Sean Tucker.
23:43Might be. The way things are right now. All right.
23:47Let's talk about the very important wide receiver position here and a guy that we all have in the top three of our waiver rankings.
23:55This is my number one pickup of the week.
23:58It's Jeremy Bernard of the Pittsburgh Steelers who... Second round rookie.
24:02Yes. I mean, he has had, like, flashes. He had eight targets in week two.
24:07Four for 35 in that game. But this past week, nine targets, six catches, 80 yards.
24:12I believe the quote from someone on the team was like, football just comes easy for him.
24:18And you no longer have Michael Pittman, who's on IR.
24:21You no longer have Roman Wilson, who's hurt. You know, they don't have Kenny Gainwell anymore.
24:27Aaron Rodgers' favorite target. I like it. So, Jeremy Bernard, when you have a rookie that has upside and potential, to me, this is...
24:35I don't blame you if he's number one on your list at all.
24:39It's all positional preference. Like, what do you need most?
24:42I think I have a couple running backs ahead of him because I think those are more rare.
24:48But Jeremy Bernard, like, I think he'll be highly contested on the waiver wire this week, Jay.
24:54And six for 80 opportunities. Metcalf is just a wet fart of a wide receiver anymore.
24:59I have Metcalf. Who would you start next week?
25:02The process would say you still start Metcalf, but the heart and some other...
25:07Like, just everything in me would not want to watch DK Metcalf anymore.
25:11Gurmy. Gurmy. Leave Jeremy alone. Yeah. Yeah. His name is spelled with a G, if you don't know.
25:17It is. I know, but you might be going out there, like, searching on the waiver wire, like, where's this Jeremy Bernard I'm hearing about?
25:26G-E-R-M-I-E. G-E-R-M-I-E. But he's a good prospect. I didn't think...
25:29My notes on him were plays the entire field and seems very reliable.
25:34An NFL wide receiver for sure. Maybe not a fantasy star.
25:37But he's good and he's getting the opportunity and they need him right now.
25:42So, yeah, I think he's a good pickup. He's not necessarily my number one pickup.
25:47If I'm looking at a start... Well, because of Rodgers, it's only production right now.
25:52It's not good. Just good numbers. Right. No, I mean, for me, it's just a matter of, like, depending on what you
25:59need, other positions, who might be available, there's a quarterback available in, like, 40% of leagues, which is mind-blowing, that should be picked up immediately.
26:08And then I still think Dontavian Wicks is a very good pickup.
26:12He's been on the field. He's been getting the targets.
26:15He's proven over and over that he's, you know, able to go out there and put up a bomb touchdown or 70-plus yards, get enough targets.
26:24And so I'd rather have the Steelers' offense than the Eagles' offense right now.
26:28So that's where, if you want to lean Germy, Jeremy...
26:32Well, we have another update. No, look, it... We need to figure this out.
26:36Yeah, I don't... Oh, this is from a parody account.
26:40Let's be honest with the people. There are multiple places that say that he...
26:44The name is pronounced Jeremy. Yes. So not Jeremy.
26:48Not three syllables. Jeremy. Two. Nick Farabaugh, who's a Steelers beat reporter, is a...
26:52Which is how I was pronouncing it. Wash your hands, because you want to get the Jermies off.
26:58Yes. Right. Jeremy Bernard is how I have always pronounced it, but then...
27:03All right. We were told by some places that he...
27:06It's Jeremy. Yeah. That's why I call him Germy.
27:09But that... But that we know that's the one that's not it.
27:13If you spell your name Germy... It's not spelled Germy.
27:16It's spelled Jeremy. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I got you.
27:19Point proven. Yeah. Yeah. Goodness gracious. So Jeremy Bernard.
27:22I'm going back to Jeremy. Jeremy Bernard, huge pickup.
27:25I think Kendrick Bourne is a huge pickup. I agree with that.
27:29Because he had eight targets this past week. And in the absence of Marvin Harrison, he had already had some productive games.
27:37Arizona passes a million times a game because they have no running game.
27:41And look, eight targets. You can't ignore that. You're going to have the Arizona Cardinals in high over-unders every single week.
27:48Their defense is abysmal. I mean, they have given up 45 points, 36 points, 36 points, 31 points in a row.
27:55So, yeah, you want a wide receiver who's going to be on the field getting targets.
28:00I like that a lot. Bourne's my number two wide receiver this week.
28:05Yeah. I think that is a huge pickup. And then some other names to remember.
28:10I mean, Dontavian Wicks has just been 50% rostered all year and will stay there.
28:15He always has the potential to have a nice game.
28:18He did have eight targets this past week. We just talked about Devontae Smith returning.
28:23Also, Goddard's back. And you saw how frequently Goddard was targeted in this offense.
28:28I still am kind of lukewarm on Wicks, Jason.
28:31Sure. I know you were a little more bullish, maybe just the opportunity every week, a starting wide receiver.
28:37I get that. But what about Darius Cooper, who's – Dude.
28:41Darius Cooper just went two for 71, scored another touchdown.
28:44How does he keep doing it? I don't know.
28:47I mean, you can't project a guy – He played the most.
28:51He has seven catches. Any wide receiver. Did you know this?
28:55He has seven catches on the year. And he has four touchdowns.
28:59Seven catches. I mean, how do you not start him, right?
29:03No, but yeah, seven catches on the season is tough.
29:06I would – you know, I think the entire season, Dontavian Wicks is going to continue having his role.
29:12He's going to be on the field. He's going to get deep shots.
29:17So he's – like, Jeremy is a player who we hope could break out and be better.
29:22Like, if Devontae Smith is back, then Cooper's going to lose snaps.
29:26Yes, he will. But the last two weeks without him, 90% and 85% led the team in snaps last week.
29:33And you get the unknown rookie upside situation. But I agree.
29:37Like, ultimately, the depth chart is going to say Dontavian Wicks next to Devontae Smith.
29:42So that probably makes sense. It's – it's just always interesting when a rookie starts to have success.
29:48And so something to pay attention to. Jordan Tyson, what is your thought process with Jordan Tyson?
29:54I mean, he's probably rostered in your league, probably on an IR spot.
29:58I'm seeing about 65%. And we did get the word – at least the report was that Tyson won't practice this week either.
30:06I'm just so – I'm still not convinced that there will be – like, I feel like he could just be a roster clogged.
30:14He absolutely could be. He absolutely could be. He definitely could be.
30:18It's just the fact of he's – well, where was he drafted?
30:22Top 10? Number 8. The number 8 overall pick, who we don't know.
30:26Who was our number 1 wide receiver ahead of Cornell Tate.
30:30I mean, he should. He's an unbelievably talented wide receiver.
30:33And in the short stretch where he was healthy for the Saints, you know, because he missed the beginning of camp.
30:40They drafted him knowing he was injured. And then he comes back.
30:44And we're just seeing highlight reel after highlight reel.
30:47Him mossing these guys and breaking the ankles. It just looked like – I was like, oh my gosh, I have to have him on my team.
30:56And then he re-aggravates the hamstring that he's dealt with forever.
31:00So it definitely could be a roster clog. He could very well come back finally after you roster him for the next
31:07three weeks and then re-injure the hamstring. He could be worthless.
31:11But I don't think there's a lot of people – if you play fantasy for upside, I don't think there's a lot
31:18of people on the waiver wire who's like, there's a world where he comes back and him and Olave are just dominating.
31:26Shuck and the offense that plays fast. And all of a sudden, you've got a top 15 wide receiver.
31:32That's just not usually in the cards. Yeah, that's interesting because I think the one real variable there is it's like, I
31:39might not see the path today, but if Valle or Olave got hurt at any point, when you're the eighth pick overall,
31:47you have the chance to come in and dominate.
31:50Other players don't. I've been impressed with Ryan Flannoy of the Cowboys so far this year.
31:55Plus the CeeDee Lamb quad injury, which we were told at the time of the game, it was nothing to worry about.
32:02But I haven't heard any updates about CeeDee Lamb.
32:05And if Lamb misses, then Flannoy becomes a very interesting play.
32:09He was on 71% of the routes. Like he is close to a full-time player.
32:14He's just the wide receiver three. I have a few thoughts here.
32:18I'm curious your opinion. One, when I go in and I look at waiver wire pickups, I'm oftentimes going into the week
32:25five stats, who's on the waiver wire and sorting by targets and receptions.
32:30You know, it stood out to me that Keenan Allen had nine targets last week on the return.
32:36So if you are looking for the potential performance of a player, targets go a long way.
32:42Keenan Allen out-targeted. Josh Downs, which is annoying, but it happened.
32:45He had nine targets his last game before going down to Andrew as well.
32:50So it's not going to be like the nine targets doesn't lead to 115 yards, at least 45 yards.
32:56But, you know, that stands out to me. By the way, it's another good moment to remind people as we walk through
33:04these players and discuss the context and potential for them.
33:07You know, we have waiver rankings as part of jointhefoot.com.
33:10We have custom waiver rankings just to who's like all of these players, how we rank them and who's only available in your league.
33:18Those are all available in the Ultimate Dashboard. So you'll be able to like import all your teams and see custom waiver
33:26rankings where the guys that are already rostered are not part of those rankings.
33:30So you can, you can, and it's custom scoring system, but you can go take a look at that.
33:37Um, I'm kind of done with Trey Harris and I'm kind of not chasing Demario Douglas.
33:42Yeah, that's fine. Honestly, I, I think Efton Chisholm is a player that I would rather chase.
33:48He, I mean, he played 76% of snaps, ran 74% of the routes, and that was coming off of a 13 target game.
33:55And this is the wide receiver for the New England Patriots second year wide receiver who is finding his way into that
34:03role that is been like, you know, the, the Edelman West Welker could be a highly targeted role.
34:09What we wondered if Dobbs was going to inherit, he's not playing that role.
34:14So it's at least worth paying attention to a guy who, you know, has had 18 targets the last two weeks on
34:21what could be a good 19 targets, uh, on what could be a good offense.
34:26And then Antonio Williams, I don't think we mentioned him yet.
34:30Uh, the rookie for Washington, he was so disappointing.
34:33It was, and I get going after him still, but he plays against the Niners who have just been the best team
34:40in the NFL and then goes to a bye week.
34:43So it's a, it's a hard pickup for me.
34:46At tight end. I think there are two super interesting names, Brenton strange, Pat Fryermuth, both for different reasons.
34:53I mean, Brenton strange, they have been involving him more and more and more double digits the last couple of weeks.
35:00Seven for 68 is awesome. One of the tackles was right by the goal line.
35:05And then the mute got loose two touchdowns. All the reasons we like Jeremy Bernard's potential are, you know, that's there for frying me trust of Aaron Rogers.
35:14Um, you don't have those other pass catchers. Metcalf sucks.
35:17There's lots of reasons to like for I'm youth this week.
35:21I don't think it's going to cost you much to get strange or for I'm youth.
35:27And I bet you, Mike is looking at both of these guys after three weeks of Dalton Kinkade farts.
35:33Yeah. Aaron Rogers talked up for our youth camp all the beginning of the year, as much as he was talking down
35:40Michael Pittman, he was saying the best camp was how he was just talking about how good friar muth and Roman Wilson were this camp.
35:49And so if you want a guy, we saw it, right?
35:52He trusted Kenny gain well last year, and then he threw it to him a ton.
35:58I think friar muth is a, is a fine pickup.
36:01Um, and also Darren Waller off of by, so that's in the rear view mirror.
36:06You don't have to deal with a bi-week going forward.
36:09You know, he's, he's been used around the goal line, had a couple of big performances and you know, if Bryce Young
36:17is balling out, he could do worse. I want to put Mike on the spot as a quick detour question right here because, uh, the bi-weeks are happening.
36:26Ken Walker is now through his bi. Oh, this, this, so this question popped up and I thought it was a great one.
36:34Oh, I can't wait to hear Mike answer it.
36:37So would you trade B. John Robinson away who has not yet had his bi to get Ken Bone Walker who has had his bi?
36:45Would you make that trade? And I, I feel like these two guys have been kind of interlinked on the trading talk for a while.
36:54Um, obviously the Falcons with Penix have looked very good, but I mean, Ken Walker is setting, setting a new standard.
37:01Yeah. That it's pretty, it's pretty tough here to figure this out.
37:05I'm trying to look at schedules. I mean, you do.
37:08I mean, in essence, you get one, you do, you get a Ken Walker, you get a bonus game, an extra game
37:15of the guy who is outscoring B. John by like three and a half fantasy points a week so far.
37:22Yeah. I was, I went and looked at the game logs for B.
37:26John. He's, he's awesome. Then I went and looked at them for Ken Walker and they're out of this world.
37:33Yeah. So the, honestly, between the two of those guys and we're very early, we're through five weeks.
37:39I'm looking at weeks 15 through 17. I know for those two players in particular.
37:44So I, but I was, I've already know them.
37:47I already know the week 16. I looked at this is Washington, right?
37:51In week 16. B. John is Washington, Tampa, new Orleans.
37:55Yeah. So that's, that's not bad. That's not bad.
37:58And then Ken Walker is Patriots, San Francisco chargers.
38:01Those are worse. That's worse. That's that is worse.
38:04That's worse. But you get, but you get an extra game to get to the playoffs.
38:09And obviously I don't know if those matchups are overwhelming.
38:12Like if you throw Minnesota, if you throw, I know, dude, I look, I look because I always think about this trade
38:20with you and me because you are the Ken bone man.
38:24And I, and I'm looking at, and I just don't ever know what I would do if you had the guts to send that to me.
38:32Yeah. I don't know what I would. I don't know what I would do.
38:37I see B. John's Jersey up over my shoulder.
38:40B. John has. By the way, they gave me the stick.
38:44Yeah. They gave me the flag stick and the flag for the hole in one over there at grass clipping.
38:50So you just have to shout out. You just have to shoot the ball 2,400 times.
38:56That's it. And you get a free stick and pay them tons of money to rent it and everything.
39:02But B. John is like, B. John's like 40 yards, 40 rushing yards ahead of Kenneth Walker with an extra game.
39:09Yeah. No, I think I would, I think I would take the Ken Walker side, but it's an interesting conversation that I
39:16think the biggest fear to me is just, we've seen Kenneth Walker injured plenty of times in his career.
39:23And B. John is, you know, a young iron man at this point, either player could get injured.
39:29Sure. That's like my only consideration is just, I don't think the wheels fall off.
39:34You know, I just don't think. You have to have Brian Robinson and Kenneth Johnson for these guys.
39:40Yes. Regardless. By the way, Higby, Kyle Pitts, Mayer, the other three names.
39:44Higby is a great start this week against the Arizona Cardinals.
39:48Oh, yeah. I mean, look at what Laporta did last week.
39:52Yeah. He was the start of the week last week and killed it.
39:56Everybody. And then do you buy into any of the Kyle Pitts resurgence, five for 42, gotten into the end zone?
40:03Or do you just ignore the player? I think I ignore it.
40:07All right. Let's take a break. We'll talk defenses, quarterback streamers as we continue the waiver wire.
40:13All right. Defensive options this week. There are a ton of matchups I love.
40:17I mean, New England takes on the Jets. New England's defense has been stepping up in a big way.
40:24Shut down the Raiders who had been moving the ball.
40:27Kansas City off the bye against the Chargers. Remember Andy Reid's numbers off of bye weeks?
40:32And then combine it with being at home? And then combine it with the Chargers and no...
40:38I mean, is that the best start of the week?
40:41It might be there. It might be the best defensive start.
40:45I mean, the Colts are... They get the privilege of playing the Tennessee Titans.
40:50And they're not going to score a lot of points.
40:53Pittsburgh plays Tampa Bay with Jalon Daniels. I love that start.
40:57Baltimore takes on Cleveland. Cleveland takes on Baltimore. If there's no Lamar, both might be viable.
41:02San Francisco's defense was out of control last week.
41:05San Francisco's defense is only 30% rostered. And I know that they've lost all their players.
41:10But you just have to give unbelievable mad props to the Niners and Shanahan.
41:15They're... They're getting it done. They're unbelievable. It's just crazy.
41:19They've lost all of their players. And I think Shanahan probably would have spiked the ball if he was the head coach of the Washington Commanders.
41:27I have a feeling he would have pulled that off.
41:31So, yeah. Those are the big names on the defensive side.
41:34Did you see the guffaw last night in the coaching?
41:38No. What happened last night? Well... I was hitting golf balls.
41:41Yeah, you were hitting a few golf balls at the end of the game to kick the field goal that won the game for the Bills.
41:50Yeah. They could have taken two knees to have the clock basically run out and then kick the field goal.
41:57Oh, and they left time on the clock? They left tons of time on the clock where if they had missed the field goal...
42:05Bring the Madden kid in here, man. You could lose the game so easily.
42:09A random kid on Madden can handle the clock better than these guys.
42:14I mean, Nick Sirianni this week... I don't blame Sirianni for that one.
42:18That was... I mean, that's on your specialties. Yeah, that's on the specialties.
42:22Well, it's funny because when the kick happened, it was like...
42:26The announcers made it sound like a good decision because they're like...
42:30Oh, you got to make him field it so he loses time off the clock.
42:35You know what I mean? Because you kick it out of the back of the end zone, you get eight seconds or whatever, and maybe that's two plays.
42:45And then after they ran it back 50 yards, they're like...
42:48Well, oh, wait. No, they don't have a timeout.
42:51You should have... It's a bit of revisionist history.
42:54It is. That one, you needed everything to be perfect.
42:58Yeah, just tackle a guy. Everything. Or don't tackle him yet.
43:01Yeah, or let one more second go off of the clock before it was...
43:06Everything had to be perfect. I rarely, rarely feel bad for Sirianni.
43:10This one, I feel a little bad for him.
43:13I mean, there's the rest of the game. You can go and see where he messed up.
43:19Well, special teams cost the Rams last night. They lost them the game.
43:23Oh, McVay was... You're talking about the sub-500 super team?
43:26Yes. Yeah, yeah. Who share a city with the currently 0-2 in the NLCS Dodgers?
43:31Are they really 0-2? I don't follow baseball, but is that true?
43:35They are clearly... Jason, who are they playing? Who cares?
43:39Super team's had a bad week in LA this week.
43:42And I am here for it. All right, that was the waiver wire presented by T-Mobile.
43:47When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage you can count on.
43:52Just another reason game days are better with T-Mobile.
43:55Check it out at T-Mobile.com slash membership. Full stream ahead.
43:59Full stream ahead. I am, you know, going to let you guys go first.
44:03Jason, why don't you start? You're the lowest rostered streamer.
44:07Sure. My guy is widely available, but I will say this.
44:11You're going to have a good time. Well, I'll...
44:14Yeah. You will have a good time. You'll have a terrible time first.
44:18Maybe. Yeah, no, always. It starts with a couple picks.
44:21I'm talking about Jameis Winston. You don't feel a lot like the hole-in-one challenge.
44:26Yeah, you got to stick with it. You got to...
44:29And I'm also... I'm talking to Matt Nagy as well.
44:33You got to stick with it, okay? Don't pull him because there is always the world where he throws three picks and
44:40you pull him for nine or 18 now and get J.J.
44:44McCarthy out there. But if Jameis plays a whole game, he's going to end up with so many counting stats.
44:50That's all he does. He's going to throw for 300 yards.
44:54He might throw for three touchdowns. And this is a great matchup against the Saints.
44:59Their pace of play. We target these games. I know that the other two guys are more rostered, but specifically, Mike, your
45:06start of the week is my number one waiver wire pickup overall by a mile.
45:11He's rostered in most leagues, but he's still available in, what, 37% of leagues.
45:16The next two weeks, he's a week winner. It is.
45:19Jordan Love, a.k.a. Mr. Check This Out, who... Check this out.
45:23Hey, check this out. I don't know. Did they figure something out?
45:27It might have just been the Bears. It might have just been the Bears.
45:32I don't know. Is it a Packers thing? We've had a couple games against the Bears where we thought people figured it out.
45:40The Dallas Cowboy game, you're going to want pieces of this.
45:43The Cowboys defense is 31st in EPA per dropback, 32nd in dropback success rate.
45:48Like this, they're so bad. And based off of the heating up of Jordan Love last week, I'm pretty excited to...
45:55If I got him on my teams or just checking the waiver wire, because about 40%, he's there.
46:01The next three weeks, he plays the 26th worst defense for fantasy quarterbacks, the 31st worst defense for quarterbacks, and the 27th
46:08worst defense for quarterbacks for fantasy purposes. Like, you're going to have a real nice time throwing the ball.
46:15And Stafford is the QB2 for a lot of teams out there.
46:19He started in far fewer leagues than he's rostered in.
46:22And so I want to throw Stafford out there as a must start this week against Arizona.
46:28I think what's crazy right now is Stafford is averaging like 48 pass attempts a game, which is wild.
46:34And Arizona, they can find their way into the end zone a few times.
46:39Aaron Donald, looking forward to facing the Cardinals this week.
46:42Got his first sack last night. But implied point total of 33 this week.
46:47I'll throw Stafford in there as a final consideration for you if there's an opportunity to either get him or just play him over somebody else.
46:55Stafford's lined up here for a long time before the playoffs.
46:59You got Arizona, Raiders, Chargers, Washington, Arizona, Green Bay, this is after the bye week, Green Bay, Kansas City.
47:06And then in your week 14, though, is San Francisco.
47:09And in the middle of your playoffs is Seattle.
47:12Yeah, and if you're a week 18, it's Seattle, Tampa, Seattle for your three playoff weeks, which is crazy.
47:18But yeah, I mean, he's been like he's he's been much better than people realize.
47:23He's been the quarterback for three weeks. Yeah. Puka helps a lot.
47:27Certainly does. And then Adams around the goal line is unstoppable.
47:31They just they scheme up the McVay combo with Adams.
47:34Just ability to high point a ball. Two touchdowns last night for Adams.
47:39He had a good game. It wasn't 24 targets.
47:42It was seven. But he had a big game.
47:45So tomorrow we're going to do a fantasy draft.
47:48Redo the top 24 picks and preview the Thursday night game because football never stops.
47:53And then we have starts of the week matchup previews on Thursday and matchups and fantasy faceoff on Friday.
47:59So do not miss a minute of it. Justin Herbert threw the ball 24 times.
48:04Puka had 24 targets. Oh, that's crazy. Yeah. Josh Allen threw at 19.
48:08Oh, my gosh. Puka had more targets than Josh Allen.
48:12There was no productive wide receiver for the Bills really.
48:15Other than Khalil Shakir had an overtime play that brought him down to the 20.
48:20Before, by the way, we didn't talk about this, but James Cook fumbled twice.
48:25Sure did. James Cook fumbled twice last night. 11 fumbles.
48:28He's got a bit of a problem. He does have a fumbling problem.
48:33And they, I mean, it's funny. Like Scadaboo and James Cook were 100% going to lose their team the game.
48:39And then. Bailed out. Bailed out. So that would have been more and more and more of a story.
48:46But that is going to do it. I need to go to sleep.
48:50That is going to do it for today's show.
48:53We'll be back tomorrow. Thank you for tuning in and supporting Andy's hole.
48:57And yeah. Enjoy the week. Good luck on the waiver wire.
