Nix's decision-making and execution have forced Webb into conservative play-calling.

Bo Nix has struggled significantly in his third year in Denver's system; the source indicates Nix bears most culpability for the offense's poor performance, noting he is turning down open receivers and failing to execute throws that should be routine, forcing play caller Davis Webb into a more conservative approach and limiting the offense's ceiling despite elite supporting talent.
