From the episode

If Jameis Winston comes out and I'm going to throw out last week for Cam Ward and Jameis Winston, it was pouring rain. But if Jameis comes out and looks like he did against the Lions last year where he's catching touchdowns and like, you know, trucking defenders and running the end zone, keep Jameis playing.

NeutralRole

Winston's play determines McCarthy's opportunity; strong form keeps him starting.

Winston is the Giants' starting quarterback with McCarthy as backup. His performance will determine McCarthy's playing time; if Winston plays well (like his performance against the Lions last year, where he threw touchdowns and ran effectively), he stays in the lineup.
