CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were both left on the sideline for the first two plays. Dallas opened with a predictable run that gained nothing. On second-and-10, Prescott was asked to execute a play-action pass with neither of his two best receivers on the field.

Negative signalRole

Pickens benched for first two plays of crucial late-game drive; conservative scheme.

Pickens was left on the sideline for the first two plays of Dallas' critical possession with 2:11 remaining and a 27-24 lead at Arizona's 20-yard line. The source criticizes Schottenheimer for not putting the ball in the hands of his best offensive players, with Pickens not entering until third-and-16 when Dallas ran the football anyway.
