Warren is a tier-two tight end with a wide range of outcomes due to offensive unknowns. His game is built on play-action, bootlegs, and screen passes—he wins when the offense is clicking and the run game (Jonathan Taylor) is dominant, which allows safeties and linebackers to bite on play-action. Unlike tier-one tight ends, Warren cannot win consistently without scheme support. His ceiling is high when the Colts' offense peaks (as it did last season when they were the number-one team in power rankings and dominated in the first half before riding Taylor in the second half), but if the offense underperforms, his production will suffer. Warren could emerge as the Colts' number-one target if Josh Downs does not play on the outside and mediocre wide receivers are relegated to 11 personnel; upside is contingent on Alec Pierce's health recovery from foot surgery and target-share command. The source prefers Loveland over Warren because Warren lacks tier-one ceiling and comes at a relatively decent draft cost, making Loveland the better value.
