STACKED’s take
Pierce one to two weeks from practicing; played well through ankle injury; $84M deal signals Colts confidence; value pic
Pierce starts camp on active/PUP (not practicing) with left ankle injury dating to 2024. GM Chris Ballard said Pierce is one to two weeks away from practicing. Pierce played well despite not being 100% last year; had PRP injection that didn't work, then surgery after signing $84M guaranteed contract. Silva expects Pierce to return to vertical-route role (unchanged from before). Levitan sees buying opportunity: Pierce played through injury and played well; Colts optimistic enough to pay $84M guaranteed while knowing about injury; they let Michael Pittman go. Silva ranked 77 overall; home league ADP 83, best ball closer to 90. Concern: if Pierce stays vertical-only with Daniel Jones coming off Achilles, that's tough. But at this cost, interesting value.
