My rankings have Trey McBride is the highest ranked player. ADP had it as Rashi Rice, but Rice goes anyway. So, we are going to get our highest ranked name, which again is going to be McBride. Now, the Arizona Cardinals offense projects to be garbage... Trey McBride last season averaged 18 fantasy points per game. Yes, 18 fantasy points per game last year and 15.6 fantasy points per game the year prior... and if he can just be 90% of what he was, he is a phenomenal pick here.
STACKED’s take
Highest-ranked player; 18 PPG last year; phenomenal value at 90% repeat
Mr. Veterinary's highest-ranked player overall despite ADP consensus favoring Rashi Rice at tight end. McBride averaged 18 PPG last season and 15.6 PPG the prior year, outpacing comparable WRs drafted ahead of him: Jaylen Waddle (max 15 PPG), DeVonta Smith (max 15 PPG), and Zay Flowers (max 14.3 PPG). At pick 30, Mr. Veterinary expects McBride to be much worse than last year due to Arizona's weak offense, but if he achieves 90% of last year's production, he remains a phenomenal pick; Mr. Veterinary would have drafted him at 19 if expecting full repeat production. Despite Arizona Cardinals offense projecting poorly, McBride's historical production suggests downside protection with only one touchdown the year prior, indicating floor-ceiling appeal.
