first player I want to go over today is Isiah Pacheco coming off the board in the late 12th round, uh, running back 49 right now. He's locked in as the running back two for the Lions this season... if he could even be like 70% of what David Montgomery is, then he could provide legitimate weekly value in this offense. The Lions backfield by far scored the most points per game last season. They combined all the running backs for 28 and a half half PPR points per game... Detroit now has the single easiest rushing schedule in the league this season.

Lions backfield scored 28.5 PPR points per game last season (5 PPG more than second-place Baltimore), and Detroit has the easiest rushing schedule in the league. Even at 30% of Lions RB volume, that equals 50% of volume on strong offenses like Vikings, Eagles, Cardinals, or Chargers from last season. In Gibbs-healthy scenarios, Pacheco offers occasional goal-line looks and clock-killing carries in blowouts; if Gibbs misses time (e.g., high ankle sprain), Pacheco's ceiling expands significantly. Zachariason targets Pacheco in the final rounds with a similar thesis to Keaontay Mitchell: the backfield won't be as productive overall, but the role will be much larger than public expectation given the new scheme and improved offensive line health.
