Barkley is a real layup and is absurdly ranked behind Ashton Gentry on every platform despite being running back nine in consensus rankings. The Eagles' offense hinges on getting the rushing attack to work; Barkley was 16th in rushing yards before contact per attempt last year (second in 2024) and seventh in explosive carries (second in 2024 with 72, 70, 68, 65, 39, 25, 23-yard TD runs vs. just two longer than 13 yards last year). The source sees no physical decline, only an average rushing environment and offensive line injuries (Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, Cam Juergens). Barkley scored one rushing TD on 11 carries inside the five-yard line last year (an offensive line stat due for regression). If the Eagles' offensive line health improves, Barkley will be the biggest beneficiary and should be a first-round pick.
