Yahoo Fantasy Forecast on Sam LaPorta

Laporta is an excellent pick; already core to Lions offense before Petzing hire.

Sam Laporta is being drafted in the fifth round on Yahoo but goes much later (picks 80-115) on other platforms. Matt Harmon likes Laporta as a pick and notes he's an excellent player within the Lions' offensive ecosystem independent of Drew Petzing's 13-personnel usage. Laporta was more involved than Jamison Williams in the first nine weeks of last season, suggesting he's a core part of the offense. Harmon ranks him similarly to Josh from (presumably another Matt Harmon's ranking) and wants to be taking him this year.
