Dave Richard presents a cautionary stat on Christian McCaffrey: of 17 running backs with 400+ touches in a season since 2010, 10 (about 60%) followed up with either an injury, a PPR per game decline of at least 20%, or both. Only seven of the 17 did well the following year, and just two of those seven were 28 years or older. Richard notes that McCaffrey is 30 years old and suffered significant injuries in his previous two seasons before 400-touch years, making him nervous to draft McCaffrey at his current ADP.
