Alec Pierce, who is the next guy on this list, round seven pick, it's going around 704, 705... he has this ankle procedure and the timeline starts to get a little wonky... they're all worried about it... I think there's a chance this goes really late into the summer and I don't think it's a promise that Alec Pierce is ready for week one either.
STACKED’s take
Ankle injury timeline uncertain; may miss Week 1 and early season games.
Round seven pick (ADP 704-705) presents significant injury risk heading into season. Pierce underwent ankle procedure with timeline extending beyond original expectations, raising concerns among medical experts including Dr. Jesse Morris and Pro Football Doc David Chow. Injury status remains uncertain with potential for extended recovery timeline into summer; not guaranteed to be ready for Week 1 and could land on PUP list. While Pierce has developed into more well-rounded player and benefits from Michael Pittman's departure and his own contract extension, the injury timeline threatens to cost him half the season of high-end production. Additionally, quarterback Daniel Jones has been inconsistent with his deep ball accuracy (below 30% catchable target rate in four of seven seasons, well below average of 40% for good deep-ball throwers), which limits Pierce's ceiling despite improved route-running development.
