According to Wilson, Miami is expected to workout free agent quarterback Jack Plummer next week. Plummer, who went undrafted out of Louisville in 2024, spent most of his rookie season on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad. After sitting out for the 2025 season, Plummer joined the Orlando Storm of the United Football League in 2026, throwing 2,188 yards with 17 touchdowns, one interception, and a 104.2 passer rating. His passing yards and rating were both league highs, while his passing touchdowns were the second most in the league.
