Justin Jefferson was traded away by Sammy Stacks and Danny Lat to Colston Loveland in a panic move after Ashton Jeanty's ankle injury, in exchange for Kenneth Walker and extra FAB dollars. The team made this trade without waiting for official confirmation of Jeanty's season-ending status, which further weakened their roster by losing their top wide receiver. However, Loveland later acquired Jefferson back as a round-one selection in a separate trade, sending Kenneth Walker, Chris Olave, and the Rams defense to get him and Travis Etienne.
