My favorite wide receiver pick in round two...Malik Neighbors. He is being unfairly discounted, I think, due to bad reporting basically about his knee injury...It's fully expected that he is going to play in week one...the version of Malik Neighbors that we're going to see is going to be much closer to the 18 fantasy points per game version that we did see of him in 2024...He led the NFL in targets per game as a rookie...his target share could very easily be north of 30...I'm going Malik Neighbors and I'm doing it with an absolute hammer.
STACKED’s take
Injury concerns overblown; Nabers should lead NFL in target share with 30%+ upside.
McCarthy's favorite Round 2 WR pick; being unfairly discounted due to bad reporting about his knee injury and cyclops lesion repair. Nabers confirmed to reporters the repair was completed earlier than reported and is fully expected to play in week one. McCarthy expects Nabers to perform closer to his 18 fantasy points per game 2024 version rather than a slow start. Led NFL in targets per game as a rookie despite playing for a team that did not heavily air the ball out. McCarthy projects Nabers could leapfrog JSN to lead the NFL in target share, potentially exceeding 30%. Has seen Nabers go as early as round 3 in some leagues. McCarthy is taking him with "an absolute hammer" despite acknowledging injury and team risk comparable to AJ Brown's age-related decline risk.
