I'd like to see for sure visual evidence that Mark Andrews isn't washed in the year 2026... I really just want to see that he has a full full role back from the Achilles looking good. He is up there in age. Every counting stat that we care about for Andrews last season sucked. But then you look at some of these nerdy numbers that may or may not help us out and they actually were pretty good. He was ESPN's open score, tight end one, just separation based.
STACKED’s take
Andrews' separation metrics strong but counting stats sucked; Hartitz wants proof he's not washed.
Recovering from Achilles injury; age is a concern heading into 2026. Every counting stat that matters for fantasy football sucked last season; however, underlying advanced metrics show promise—ESPN's open score ranked him TE1 in separation, Nike's average separation score had him at TE6, and NextGen Stats showed only Brock Bowers was faster than Andrews. Ian Hartitz remains skeptical and wants to see visual evidence that Andrews 'isn't washed' and has a full role recovery from the Achilles before trusting him. Hartitz ranks Andrews as TE13–14, lower than Jawan Johnson (TE9), Mayer (TE11), and Godwin (TE12), citing role uncertainty as a reason he's priced low. Hartitz prefers Michael Mayer over Andrews as a tight end option.
