STACKED’s take

NeutralRole

Dillon part of bruising duo that wears down defenses late but lacks explosive upside.

Dillon is one of a pair of bruising backs (6-foot, 247) alongside Chuba Hubbard (6-foot-1, 210) who can wear down defenses as games progress. The Panthers' run game ranks 21st in DVOA, 23rd in EPA, and 23rd in success rate for the season, but showed late-game effectiveness against Cleveland with 76 yards on 12 carries (6.3 YPC) in the fourth quarter after managing just 22 yards on 11 carries through three quarters. However, neither back is explosive—the Panthers' longest run of the season is 24 yards by Kenny Pickett, with running backs having no runs over 16 yards.
