From the episode
I talked to Jamar Chase after and he was kind of frustrated because he was like, these DBs were just playing so much more confidently because Dexter Lawrence is at the line of scrimmage... these receivers should be getting better work than they've gotten in the preseason and recent years.
STACKED’s take
NeutralProjection
Chase is 4th overall ADP; improved defense gives receivers better camp work.
Jamar Chase is the 4th overall pick in ADP for the Bengals. At training camp, Chase expressed frustration that the improved defense (led by Dexter Lawrence) was making it harder for receivers to get quality work, with DBs playing more confidently. Chase should benefit from better work in training camp and preseason due to the improved defense, though the Bengals' ideal scenario is a more conservative offense that doesn't rely on Joe Burrow playing hero ball.
