Darnold returns to limited practice two weeks post-glute injury; decision on Sunday start expected by Friday.

Darnold returned to practice two weeks after suffering a soft-tissue glute injury (initially feared to be a hip dislocation) sustained during the season opener against New England on Sept. 9. He was listed as limited in practice and did not take every rep, with coach Mike Macdonald indicating the team will ramp up his workload as the week progresses. Macdonald stated the injury is 'on a good track right now, assuming today goes well,' and the team will decide by Friday whether Darnold is ready to play Sunday against Washington. If Darnold shows he's able to play, he will be the starter.
