Beckham released after 19 snaps, zero catches in three games; unsuccessful fit.

Odell Beckham Jr., a fan favorite attempting to revive his career with the Giants where he started as a first-round pick in 2014, was released after the McCarthy trade and Burns injury. Beckham was the fourth receiver, played just 19 snaps in three games, and had zero catches. Harbaugh said "it just wasn't working out" and that the team "weren't able to put him in a position to help us," taking responsibility for the unsuccessful fit despite maintaining he has grown close to the player he previously coached in Baltimore.
