Downs was a primary target and showed elite separation on a deep slot fade route

Downs was a focal point of the Colts' opening drive with three targets and two catches for 37 yards, serving as a clear first-read target. Despite the game script shifting negatively, he demonstrated high-end potential on a slot fade route where he beat his defender by 10 yards; had the pocket held, it would have been an easy 39-yard touchdown.
