Breece Hall

PositiveUsage3:56

Breece Hall's rookie season serves as the primary model for current rookie RB usage. Despite a slow initial ramp-up while splitting time with Michael Carter, Hall finished as the RB7 in PPG because the coaching staff prioritized the 'hot hand' approach for their best player.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

NegativeUsage39:03

Caleb Douglas is expected to be a starter in two-wide receiver sets for the Dolphins in week one. While he is a tall, strong receiver with good break ability, the source notes he is unrefined and currently an intermediate downfield threat rather than an underneath option. The source prefers Chris Bell over Douglas in redraft leagues.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeValue12:27

Carnell Tate is currently the fifth pick of the seventh round (WR32). The source believes this ranking is appropriate given his development needs as a 21-year-old rookie, lack of manufactured touches, and the questionable Tennessee Titans offensive environment. The source prefers Casey Conpion over Tate in full PPR formats and ranks Parker Washington ahead of him.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveRole30:44

CeeDee Lamb's role, specifically his ability to play outside and kick into the slot, is used as a direct comparison for how the source expects Casey Conpion to be utilized.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveValue40:27

The source prefers Chris Bell over Caleb Douglas in redraft leagues, asserting that Bell is the superior player. Bell is described as a dense, fast, and stout power player who excels on slants and crossing routes, having returned from injury ahead of schedule.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeValue32:36

The source suggests drafting late-round wide receivers like Casey Conpion and Matthew Golden over Courtland Sutton, who is currently being drafted in the 8th or 9th round.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeValue29:25

Denzel Boston is mentioned as a wide receiver prospect used to contextualize the source's high pre-draft ranking of Casey Conpion.

Insight page

Dylan Laube

NegativeDepth Chart62:32

Dylan Laube is positioned as a depth player behind Mike Washington Jr. The source indicates there is no significant competition behind Washington to threaten his role as the primary backup or complementary back.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveRole7:23

Jadarian Price is projected to serve as the Seahawks' lead back, particularly early in the season while Zach Charbonnet is sidelined. The source expects Price to handle early-down and goal-line duties, creating a more favorable fantasy situation than Kenneth Walker previously experienced. George Holani is expected to mix in for pass-protection duties.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveValue17:36

The source expresses a preference for drafting Jalen Hurts over other wide receiver options currently being discussed, suggesting he offers better value at his position.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeInjury5:02

James Connor is currently on injured reserve and has not practiced, creating uncertainty for the Cardinals' backfield availability.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart62:37

The source uses James Conner as a reference point for the type of veteran free agent who is not currently expected to join the Raiders' backfield, reinforcing the security of Mike Washington Jr.'s role.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveRole30:01

The source compares Casey Conpion to Jaylen Waddle, describing Conpion as 'Jay Wadd plus about 13 pounds on his back,' highlighting his playstyle and physical profile.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

PositiveBreakout13:35

The source is high on Jaylen Wright, projecting him as the primary early-down and goal-line back in the absence of Zach Charbonnet. Despite concerns about his college usage and lack of pass-protection experience, teammates and coaches are praising his potential as a weapon in the passing game. The source ranks him 56th overall in half-PPR and views him as a top target in the 5th-6th round range.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveBreakout3:42

Jeremiah Love is a high-priority target (ADP 32-33) with a 99th percentile prospect profile. Despite a Week 1 high ankle sprain, he is projected to be a top-12 RB from October 1st onward. He is expected to overtake Tyler Allgeier as the primary back, with projections of 1,300 total yards, 52 receptions, and nine touchdowns. The source models his usage after Breece Hall's rookie 'hot hand' approach.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury17:48

Jordan Tyson is currently on injured reserve with a recurring hamstring injury and is expected to miss at least six games, with a potential return around week nine. Despite this, he is viewed as a high-upside bench stash in the 120s ADP range, with a playstyle compared to Stevie Johnson and Diontae Johnson—winning at the line of scrimmage but potentially inconsistent after the catch.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveValue20:48

Juwan Johnson is recommended as a late-round tight end target to fill roster gaps, specifically suggested as a fill-in for Jordan Tyson during the first seven weeks of the season.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeRole8:25

Kenneth Walker's previous role is used as a historical benchmark for the Seahawks' backfield, noting that he previously lost goal-line and passing-down work to Zach Charbonnet, a situation that is expected to change with the current backfield rotation.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeUsage40:25

Malik Washington is projected to be a starter in the Dolphins' two-wide receiver sets alongside Caleb Douglas starting in week one.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeInjury20:27

Marvin Harrison Jr. is dealing with 'stiffness' and missed practice, raising concerns alongside his lack of preseason receptions. His production profile is often compared to Drake London's rookie season (WR41) to set expectations for his current WR32 ADP.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue32:21

The source recommends drafting Matthew Golden in the late rounds (10th-11th) as a high-upside young wide receiver, specifically pairing him with Casey Conpion. The source prefers this duo over 8th-9th round wide receivers like Michael Wilson and Courtland Sutton.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

NegativeValue32:34

The source suggests drafting late-round wide receivers like Casey Conpion and Matthew Golden over Michael Wilson, who is currently being drafted in the 8th or 9th round.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveSleeper2:28

Mike Washington Jr. is a strong late-round target (13th round, RB45) and a perfect scheme fit for Clint Kubiak's offense. He possesses elite athleticism (4.33 speed, 40-inch vertical, 223 lbs). The source projects a 65/35 or 72/28 backfield split with Ashton Genty rather than a traditional handcuff role, noting he earned increased reps throughout the preseason.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveValue30:09

Stefon Diggs is referenced as a high-level wide receiver archetype and a veteran player the source recommends plugging into a WR3 spot to balance a roster with younger, high-upside prospects.

Insight page

Tetairoa McMillan

PositiveProjection15:57

The source highlights Tetairoa McMillan as a strong rookie performer, noting he finished as the WR24 per game in his rookie season. While acknowledging he benefited from a better offensive environment, the source prefers him over other rookie prospects.

Insight page

Trey Benson

NegativeDepth Chart5:01

Trey Benson was waived, which has left the Cardinals' backfield depth chart significantly thin.

Insight page

Treylon Burks

NegativeProjection16:53

The source uses Treylon Burks' rookie season as a benchmark for current rookie projections, noting his production of 122 targets, 70 receptions, over 1,000 yards, and 7 touchdowns, with a notable 14.5 yards per reception.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage13:56

Wan'Dale Robinson is expected to dominate the RPO bubble screens and quick-hitting passing work in the Tennessee offense, potentially leading to a 'PPR scam' season for him in the first half of the year.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveValue32:27

Xavier Worthy is identified as a recommended late-round wide receiver target to draft over some players currently going in the 8th or 9th rounds.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury7:46

Zach Charbonnet is expected to miss at least the first four weeks of the season following February 20th ACL surgery, with a potential return timeline around week 11 or 12. The source is betting against a quick recovery that would allow him to reclaim the 65% red zone carry share he held last year, noting a long ramp-up period is anticipated.

0:00We love to point out how rookies shape fantasy football at the end of each season. So today we talk about every
0:06single rookie. Yeah, I have 32 names of rookies heading into their first season.
0:12We're going to talk about where they stand currently on the depth chart, maybe some projected stats for every single one. And Hayden, maybe most
0:18importantly, when we think they're actually going to take off in their lineups this season. And sometimes those players don't ever take off. I think we'll have to have some of those takes as well. Uh yeah, 32. This is going to be a test of can I
0:31remember the 32nd player and what team he's even on. That's a pretty deep list. So, I was looking at again all rookies
0:38when researching for this show and it really stood out to me that only 11 rookies are consistently being drafted inside of the top 15 rounds on Yahoo right now, including just four
0:49four before the start of the 10th round. This is just anecdotal, Hayden, but that has to be a record low number. Well, we knew this like going in just talking about these guys as as draft prospects. Like this was not going to be a great
1:01class. I will say this, I think that reddraft is like the best time to to get some rookies late on because like
1:06they're not in your starting lineup where like best theoretically they can be like we're not banking on rookies until later on and because the ADPs are
1:13suppressed. Um there are going to be some uh rookies this year that kind of pop up and I think that the wide receiver class that was almost
1:19underrated and like that's kind of the the tier of players that we're gonna talk about today. It definitely is. Now, again, we'll talk
1:25about where each of these names are being selected on Yahoo right now, but you know, Mai Lemon would go ahead of
1:30the 10th round if he didn't miss all training camp. Uh, you know, Casey Conception would probably be going ahead of the 11th round if he wasn't on the
1:36Cleveland Browns. Uh, we also had, you know, some of your favorite day three running backs or day two running backs, uh, that landed behind obvious starters and not kind of in ambiguous backfields. Mike Washington and Jonah Coleman and
1:50those guys, you know, could have been top 10 round picks if they were on like the Tennessee Titans, for example.
1:55Yeah. And maybe the Yahoo ADPs are just wrong and that these guys should be priced way up. And I I have a couple of those takes here
2:00100%. Again, if you tuned into our ultimate and final running back and wide receiver rankings, you know, you have some of our favorites uh at rookie spots in both, and some of those are the best
2:12value, not just on Yahoo, but in whatever platform that you use. So, go and watch those videos after this one. and we're going to condense it down into
2:19one episode. I'm going to go in ADP order here. And our first rookie actually isn't off the board until the fourth pick of the third round, running
2:26back 14. That's Jeremiah Love of the Arizona Cardinals. The latest from NFL Network's Mike Gafolo. He reports that Jeremiah Love is quote about 5050 to
2:37play in week one against the Chargers. Hayden, we know 14 touches in his first preseason action, suffered a high ankle sprain at the end of that second quarter. So, what are your expectations
2:49for week one and then what are your expectations beyond for Jerem? Yeah, let's say he misses zero to two games. I think that's about right. I think that the rest of September, there's going to be a ramp up period with him and Tyler Algier. Keep in mind,
3:02Trey Benson was waved. James Connor's on injured reserve. He has not practiced. It's just going to be Algier. It's going to be Jeremiah Love. We know how this one ends. Jeremiah Love, I thought as a prospect was even better than Ashen
3:13Genty. Like I would put him in the not that far away from like the Bejon Robinson type of prospect. Uh it's going
3:19to take some overcoming the interior offensive line. They're missing a second round uh guard in Arizona. The tackle play can be very hit and miss. So it's not the ideal landing spot. All that said, typically a top three overall pick
3:32at running back does not go in the third and sometimes fourth rounds of fantasy drafts. So, I think that we've like fully baked in the Cardinals part of the
3:39of the equation, the early part of the season equation, and I would be pretty surprised by, you know, October 1st on
3:46if Jeremiah Love is not a top 12 fantasy running back. He's somebody I'm heavily targeting in the top 30, but sometimes
3:53you can get him like 32nd, 33rd overall. I think that's absolutely a steal. So, I keep going back to Michael Thor,
3:58who's the head coach of this team, calling plays for Bree Hall during his rookie season, who only played seven games during that rookie year. It was a
4:04condensed year because of injury. But even with a slow start of 12, eight, and 14 touches in the opening three games,
4:11in that seven game span, Bree Hall was the running back seven in points per game because even with a slow ramp up
4:17period when Bree was splitting time with Michael Carter, Mike Lefor realized that the hot hand approach would then go to Bree Hall because he's the best player of the group. So there was that roar shark test that we got early in the
4:29offseason where Lafur was saying, well, the hot hand's going to get it. Uh to me that is very much a positivity for Jeremiah Love and we saw that during you know his
4:40first preseason action. Again I have some concerns about the environment. I would love if Chase Bantes was in here as you said he was
4:46looking awesome in the preseason but it's such a win if the Cardinals who are projected for the 32nd you know best or
4:53worst uh offense in the NFL instead are like the 22nd or 24th. Like if they can escape that bottom three scoring point, then uh again that would be massive for not just Jeremiah Love, but all skill
5:06players on that team. Yeah, we just saw with the Raider situation uh Gent was like the RB16 uh on points per game bas offenses I've ever seen. So hopefully the Cardinals can at least clear that threshold and
5:17that's where we're kind of drafting Jeremiah Love to be slightly better than the Ashen Genty season from a year ago. Um and we're talking about 99th
5:24percentile prospect according to my model. Everybody's model would agree with that. So, he's somebody that I'm buying the dip on and I feel very good about that. I think he's going to ride the the hot hand. It's going to be
5:35Jeremiah Love, not Tyler Algier. Again, I'm just looking at that Breeze rookie season. That first finish was running back 40. Then he went running
5:41back 12, 19, 16, 4, 7, and 21. We just did a live draft with, you know, 10 other experts over on Yahoo. And you took Jeremiah Love as what, your running back two or running back one? Which one
5:52was it? Running back two. Yep. Yep. Yep. We went Devonte Chin the second round and then um Jeremiah 11 the third late third which I think is awesome. Yes. Uh I don't know if you brought this up already but Yahoo has projections
6:02from a whole bunch of different sites that they compile into one. 205 rushing attempts, 868 yards, six rushing scores. Then on top of that 52 receptions, 457
6:16receiving yards and then almost two and a half touchdowns. So Hayden, if I can do some quick math, that would put him
6:24uh at 1,300 yards and almost nine total touchdowns here.
6:29Yeah, the receptions stand out there. It's the six most receptions at running back position. It's the fourth most receiving yards uh at the position. Like I think that can make sense if this team's trailing in fourth quarters. Like
6:40you're not going to have Tyler Algier out there. He's going to catch a bunch of passes. Like a a very light version of like the Bejian seasons from the last
6:46couple seasons is what I'm projecting for Jeremiah Love. That's a pretty good value. Final note on this, that showed out in
6:52only the two quarters that he played in the preseason on angle routes. Like so often these running back receptions actually have a negative A dot attached
6:59to them because they're just swing passes at the end of a progression. If you're getting angle routes and these were almost designed downfield receptions because they were getting three vertical routes pushing off coverage and then leaving Jeremiah Love
7:11versus, you know, a a Phil safety or a linebacker. And then again, it's catching that four yards or six yards down the field versus two yards in the back field. Like that's just fantastic stuff. We want to see that all the time from our backs. Okay, Jaren Price, the
7:24next rookie all the way down the sixth round, the second pick of the sixth round, running back 25. ESPN's Brady Henderson, who nailed this back field last year, believes that the Seahawks will quote roll with Jadarian Price as
7:35their lead back while mixing in a heavy dose of George Harlani. And then whatever plan has Seattle going into week one will start to change once Zack Charbanet returns. We know Charbanet is going to miss at least the opening four
7:47weeks of the season. And my eyes go to the Seahawks schedule, especially weeks two and weeks three, I believe, against the Cardinals and the Commanders uh as potential like blowup spots here for Jarian Price.
7:58Yeah, I think it's going to be a long ramp up period for Zack Charmin. His ACL surgery did not happen till February
8:0520th. You do exactly nine months from that. That's week 11, week 12. He in theory can beat that timeline, but I
8:10think that would be just to like get him involved in the lineup and I think it's just going to be him and Holani for the
8:15most part and Jadarian Price is going to be the early down guy and Holani is going to play in there for pass protection. But unlike what Kenneth
8:21Walker was dealing with where Sharban was the goal line back uh in addition to playing passing situations, I just think that Jarian Price is going to have the
8:28goal line role. So I think versus last year, it's a better situation for Jay Darian Price than it was for Kenneth
8:33Walker. I've been warming up to him. There's kind of like a it's not my favorite running backs in like kind of
8:39the fifth six round range. I do think the Jadearian Price would be at or the very top of that list. I thought he was
8:45a fine prospect. He he had some nice advanced metrics. Tough to know in a lot of areas, too.
8:51Yeah, it's like one of those where he didn't have to pass protect. He didn't have to catch passes. I'm not saying that he can't do either, but like I
8:57can't say for sure that he's good at it. I thought that he ran with a decent burst and like I think good pacing, good
9:03vision, all that type of stuff. And then at the same time, I was also surprised that he was only 203 pounds at the
9:08combine and is not like some like super explosive like testing back. So he's like somebody where you watch him, you're like, I totally get it. But I would not say that this is your typical first round draft pick profile. Like to
9:19me, Kenneth Walker coming out, Bree Hall coming out, they went later in the draft. Those guys were better prospects than Jidearian Price, but this is a
9:25mystery box player. Maybe he is Bejon Robinson. He just happened to be next to that with Jeremiah Love.
9:31A lot to hit on there. You you mentioned week 11 as like exactly the timeline for Zack Sharon based on what typical is of
9:39his injury that he's coming back from, which is significant. They actually have a week 11 buy. Now, that's one facet of this. The other facet is all summer long, you know, observers of the Seahawks have been
9:51incredibly optimistic about Zack Sharney returning. There were some mentions of week one. We know that that now is false. So, I have no idea where to land on any of this stuff. However, I am willing, and not to be negative here, to
10:04bet against a quick recovery, getting him back to exactly the form that he was on to the point that the coaching staff
10:11that wants to win games wants to give him 65% of the red zone carries. And that led to what 11 touchdowns that he
10:17got last year instead of Ken Walker the third. So, I'm just kind of betting against a player that is coming back
10:23from major injury and giving more towards Jiren Price who his teammates can't stop talking about him. like Jackson Smith and Jigma quote, we rely on the run game a lot. So he Jarian Price is going to be incredible. I'm
10:34looking forward to it. He's going to be a big piece of this offense, especially early. Sam Darnold has talking about him in every single, you know, pre-season
10:42game on the sideline. Talking about his pass catching too, which to me is a huge part of this. Hayden. Yep. He only had
10:48like 15 or 19 receptions in college and yet every time you turn on Howard Knox, every interview you hear from John
10:54Schneider or Sam Darnold or whoever is he's going to be such a weapon for us in the passing game, too. And then that's
10:59the underlying buzz of them getting more pass catchers into routes, including the running backs because they were near dead last on the list. So, he's one of my 14 players I'm betting my season on, and I'm excited to see what your Jarren Price is this year.
11:10Yeah, I think somewhere late in round five. I think that's a perfectly reasonable spot. That's where he's uh going on Yahoo 62nd overall right now. I
11:18got him ranked or our combined rankings is 56 overall. Actually, both of us rank him exactly there in half PPR. So, I
11:24think totally fine player. I'm not sure if he's going to be a absolute home run pick, but he at least has the chance to
11:29do it. He does have the chance to do it. He's being drafted behind players who also have kind of a similar outcome here of a
11:36split backfield or a chance to win out. And he's been at the end of that list for the entire offseason. And so he's on
11:42a better team than a lot of those guys, too. Just quickly, the Yahoo projections on him for the season. 214 attempts, 914
11:50rushing yards, and 7.6 touchdowns. And the reception totals are quite low here. Um 24 receptions, 222 yards, and a half a touchdown. So again, while Hani will probably uh fill in in terms of true passing down work early on, again, I
12:06continue to say that I think like the true third down passing situation role is like the least valuable one when you
12:12talk about half point PPR. Yep, I agree with that. I think he's probably going to be closer to like 30 35 receptions, which is is already
12:19projecting for a lot more than he caught in college, but I do think is like reasonable. Like if if your first round running back can't catch the football,
12:24then like maybe he should have been a first round pick. Third rookie, Carell Tate. He's the fifth pick of the seventh round right
12:30now going as wide receiver 32. Unfortunately, he did not practice on Tuesday. He's working through quote some stiffness. Um he did not catch a single pass during preseason activities. I guess Hayden, my easy question to you is
12:44how confident are you that he finishes above Marvin Harrison's Jr. uh wide receiver 40 points per game during his rookie season? Um that sounds about right. Uh I liked
12:57Carnell Tate. Um, I would say I even like loved him. He was comped like DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Jeremy Mlin. Uh, the hard part about this situation is as a rookie, first of all, he's only just barely above 21 years
13:10old. He's an early declare. Like there is some like development that's needed in his game. Uh, and he's not used in
13:16the manufacturer touch department. Like even looking at my notes pre-draft, but I didn't know the role. Uh, I said there's some underneath work, but he's not a tackle breaker breaker or particularly shifty and tight uh spaces.
13:29His consistent hands allow him to catch the ball and stride on crossing routes. Possibly gets a tad faster, but he's not
13:35a lightning quick player. And then even in the the preseason, you did see on that crossing route where he didn't create that much separation. Now, uh I think if he does fail this price tag, I think it's largely going to be based off
13:46the Tennessee Titans offense. And unfortunately, I think that's just kind of where this one's going to me where Cam Ward has a lot to prove, Brian Daval
13:53has a lot to prove, the offensive line has a lot to prove, and then it seems like Wanda Robinson's going to get like all the RPO bubble screens and little
14:00quick hitting stuff. So, we'll see. I think that he's better in half PPR um among the wide receivers. I don't think
14:06he's going to catch that many passes this season. Yeah, I I think you nailed all of that. in a composed, good, proven offense, I
14:15would be drafting Colonel Tate so much higher than this. And yet, it just has been a month of sourness whenever you
14:22read or hear or even watch the preseason work from the Tennessee Titans. And that's a bummer. You know, it it kind of feels like a and the season is very long, but the first half of the season could be like a PPR scam
14:33season for Well Robinson. And with Colonel Tatton where he's lining up as a true outside player, that's just, you know, further to get the football. Yep. It really is that simple. Um, they have a week nine buy. Maybe good things can
14:47happen during the week nine buy and we get to week 10 through week 17 for your fantasy season. And that's really where he pays off. But I I truly believe that
14:55wide receiver 32 is just about right for him, especially when like you consider some of the other wide receivers going around him are the Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas Jr., but like again two
15:07names before that for us is Parker Washington and there's just no chance of him evercliping that for me in my rankings. He he's in that like there's a huge tear break and like you know it's like Devonte Adams, Mike Evans, those types
15:19and then you kind of get into this like completely break is Parker Washington and then if you want to say Marv and
15:26Brian Thomas Jr. And then after that it's DK Metaf and Carnell Tate and Alec Pierce and Chris Godwin and Jordan Tyson. Like it either finds himself in that Marv and BTJ group
15:37or it's the one after. And the one after is when trust me that's where I got to in my uh expert league. It's not where
15:44you want to be with your wide receiver two and wide receiver three. No. Yeah. I got Mike Evans in like the sixth round. Like I didn't feel
15:49comfortable with that. But like right after him it was getting worse than that. Uh couple comps real quick. Uh rookie seasons. Tedo McMillan was the wide receiver 24 per game. I like Tedo a little bit more and the offensive
16:01environment over there was a little bit better than this one. Olve was a wide receiver 24. Garrett Wilson was a wide receiver 30. Drake London which I think
16:08this is pretty close. Wide receiver 41. That's pretty close with the Marvin Harrison uh season that we had. And then Roma Dunay was the wide receiver 61. So like those are like similar players in terms of just like skill sets and draft
16:20capital. And those weren't like the best teams either. Um, so wide receiver 30s is probably about average. I just don't think it's gonna be like, "Oh, you were fading Carell Tate and now he's finished
16:31as like the wide receiver 12 this year." Like, I just don't see that happen. The Titans would have to shock everyone for that to happen. They would have to
16:36be bad in the offseason and then great once the regular season hits. Uh, I will add his projections right now on Yahoo.
16:43116 targets, nearly like a 50% catch rate at 63 receptions, 791 yards, and 4.7 touchdowns. It's interesting you brought up T-Mac because
16:54his rookie season last year was nearly the same at 122 targets, 70 receptions.
16:59Y but that went for over 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns. So they're basically having Carell Tate's yards per target, no, sorry, yards per reception at 12 and
17:11a half and Ted McMillan was 14 and a half, which you know, I I think if Tate's going to catch passes, they're going to be down the field this year. I I when I thought the reception number was right, I would put him a little bit
17:23higher under yards. But like five touchdowns, like if he scores more than five touchdowns this year, I would say that's a whip. I think those projections felt about right, which is, you know, you're not getting your money
17:34in grade at wide receiver 32 and stuff. Like to me, I would rather just give me freaking Jaylen Herz and then I'll find
17:39the next wide receiver. By the way, the next couple rookies, uh, I have even ranked ahead of Cardinal Tape. Okay, I think I misspoken. He's a week
17:46nine by maybe I said that correctly. Next is Jordan Tyson, a full round later, plus the 12th pick of the eighth
17:54round, wide receiver, 37. Again, if he didn't suffer the hamstring injury that was reported as not linked to all the other hamstrings that he has injured in
18:06the past, uh he would be going earlier than this, but again, that's wer 37 right now. He's on injured reserve. He's
18:11out at least four games. You and I are expecting at least six. Um, we have seen that his draft process and the first part of his off seasonason was slow played coming back from a hamstring. So,
18:24I highly doubt that as soon as he's ready to gear up for a game, they give him 80 plus% of the work. So, what do
18:29you expect? Yeah. Also, week six, they play on Metife turf, which I would not throw him out there personally, and then they go to France for week seven, week eight buy. So, I think the most likely scenario would be week nine. Maybe he
18:42gets out there and they ramp him up during that stretch there, but I would say week nine's the targets at home against the Browns. So, uh, you're going
18:48to have to deal with that. Uh, if you have an IR spot, it makes it a little bit easier um to stomach. He does not
18:53get drafted typically like as high as this this ADP. Like whenever I'm in drafts, it's like closer to like 120s.
18:59And I think that's actually a good spot for him because a lot of the receivers around that range just do not have the upside that he has. I think that he
19:05would have been comfortably ahead of Cardinal Tate if not for the injuries. Now, I think that there's reasons why he's had these injuries uh for a long time. I think it's going to take a while for him to to get over them. So, I think a very risky pick. If he goes like the
19:18120s and stuff and like you're looking at guys that just have like no chance of upside, uh then I would still go with
19:24with Jordan Tyson. Nick Underh Hill does fantastic work. Um he's one of the beat writers that you should trust his eyes in a lot of ways.
19:31And he just kept speaking glowingly about Jordan Tyson every single practice. One was quote, "It would be hard to overstate how good Tyson was in camp." Uh, so we'll see. I think this is
19:42a good bench stash if you have an IR spot on your team that you can get him in round eight and or even round nine if
19:50he slips to you and just see what happens. But, uh, it's almost one of these, Hayden, that we just get to
19:55revisit this entire conversation, uh, in week eight and and, you know, reassess where we're at once the Saints have, you know, seven games under their belt. My my final note on Jordan Tyson was just a
20:06pre-draft note is everyone like except me kind of like loved Jordan Tyson. I kind of more liked him and I I think
20:13that like there's still some development that's needed in his game. Like he was pretty unproven like working over the middle. I didn't think that he was that fast when he was like opening up and like working down the football field. Rough after the catch too.
20:25Yeah, rough after the catch. So like Stevie Johnson was somebody that won the line of scrimmage and like was really fancy at this. Uh Deontay Johnson was
20:31someone similar like I think athletically in kind of the same role. Um so like other people thought he was like a layup line to be like an a pro bowl type of receiver. I was always kind of under the impression that like he
20:43could reach that but he easily could not. I thought he was a little bit more boom bust than other people thought. Yeah. And again Jawan Johnson is a
20:50perfect not even late round tight end anymore but a tight end pick uh later in your drafts to fill in for the Jordan
20:57Tyson week one through seven. Next is Deshawn Stribbling, my guy and only my guy. Uh the first pick of the 10th round wide receiver 43 right now. Again, I have him much closer to the wide
21:09receiver 35 overall. The athletics Matt Barrows believes that Stribbling is quote going to have a major role in week one against the Rams. Um, Hayden, I view
21:21him as a flex immediately with wide receiver three in his view. If he plays, you know, the majority of two wide receiver sets starting in week one. If we see that in week one and week two and
21:34all that type of stuff, then I feel comfortable in my starting lineups. Yep. Mike Evans been dealing with every piece of injury that you can possibly dream of. Did return to practice today. Did yes, for now. He comes back for
21:45practice and misses the next ones. So, Strippling has so many outs here. If George KD has a setback, it sounds like
21:51KD's going to try to play in week one. Now, Mike Evans, any of these guys get setbacks, he's going to be into the lineup here. I think that he should
21:56overtake Debo Samuel eventually. I'm not sure if that's going to happen in week one. They're kind of like trying out Deshan Stribbling as an inside outside player. And Debo Samuel obviously knows the playbook, all type of stuff. That said, that Stribbling was an underrated
22:09player. Uh he's a great athlete, 43640. If you guys watch him against Georgia, he had a 75 yarder against them. Uh he
22:15had seven catches for 122 yards against Georgia. like this is uh somebody that was not loved by the spreadsheets but has the size, has the athleticism, has like the intangibles. That's something that everybody uh that I listened to
22:28from Trent Williams on the sideline to the beat reporters to Dean Bugler uh everyone was saying that this guy has the great makeup and that he's going to be a trusted player. So I think it's Jawan Jennings with more burst or if he
22:40kind of gets past that then he can do some level of like a Brandon Iuk impression here. So, I think a very
22:46intriguing pick somewhere just inside the top 100. Yeah, I'm quickly googling some Jawan Jennings seasons here with the San Francisco 49ers, like his age 27 season here in 2024 where he had 113 targets,
22:5977 receptions, 975 yards, and six touchdowns. I'll take it. I think that's possible. I I really do think that is possible. I think this is going to be the classic case where I think that the October, November, December stretch like could look a lot
23:12better than the September stretch. Um, and we'll see if these guys stay healthy. Like the Mike Evans, Georgia, like at any second if we saw the report
23:18set back out for four weeks, nobody would be surprised. Yeah. Again, I I am drafting him aggressively because this is a top 10 offense perennially. Every single year, it's a top 10 offense. Uh, and this is someone that from the first
23:33day of camp, we've gotten positive buzz on. Then every single preseason snap or game that he played, whether it be with M. Jones or back with Brock Birdie. Like we have gotten positive uh plays from
23:46him and that was inside, that was outside, that was winning over the middle, that was going up and getting it contested. Uh that was manufactured
23:54stuff on top of it. And if he caught that one pass and the double move down the field, like we might not be able to
23:59get him right now in the ninth round or wherever, it might be an eighth or seventh round pick on top of this. So
24:04again, I I am incredibly aggressive in selecting Stribbling as my wide receiver three if I have to right now. Playing him in the flex in that first week and then I think we can only go up from there. Uh I think there are decent odds
24:17he leads all rookies in receiving this season. I think it's possible. I hope so. Yep. Uh the projections don't say the
24:24same. The projections have him at 63 targets, 42 receptions, 506 yards, and just three scores. I'll take the higher the over on every single one of those. Mhm. Mhm. Yeah. Okay. Mai Lemon, the seventh pick of the
24:3810th round, wide receiver 45 right now on Yahoo. By the way, if you want our rankings ahead of any drafts that you do
24:44have this week, uh they're free in the description down below. Half and full PPR, but if you want to take it the next
24:49level, going over to the Ultra Playbook on Yahoo Plus. I mean, it's 150 page daggum almanac with everything that you need. Everything. Hayden's writing a lot in it. I'm writing a little bit in it.
25:01uh and so are all of the other writers here on Yahoo. So if you really want to go deep, if you want to be a true sicko,
25:08that is the ultimate playbook. All right, back to Mai Lemon. He has been back for the end of the preseason. He
25:13played in that final game, caught three of five targets, dropped a pass for an interception. I think those three receptions went for about three yards. Um meanwhile, Dantavian Wix has gotten
25:23some rave reviews in camp. So, it seems like Hayden Lemon is destined for three wide receiver sets early in his career,
25:29but the season is very long. Definitely Dantavian Wixs is not, you know, I wouldn't say he's the most consistent player. So, I think at some point in the season, Mai Lim will be in two wide receiver sets. And at that
25:40point, we can treat him as a real fantasy asset. Both fantasy wide receivers um in two wide receiver sets with the Eagles have been awesome. We'll see if Mai Lemon can reach that. It's just going to be a totally different way that he's going to do it where it's
25:52like, you know, within 15 and 20 yards of the line of scrimmage only. I will say that he played at the catch point a
25:58lot better than most like slot wide receivers. My comps pre-draft went from a Monro St. Brown, which I don't think he's actually going to get to a mon down to Khil Shakir. That's a pretty wide range. Parker Washington would be like
26:09another comp uh if you're a true sicko out there. 3.5 yards per zone route after removing the screens. That's best in the class by far. Zero drops all year. Um, so we'll see. He's not a super
26:21explosive player, but he's a pretty dense player. I thought he was great against zone coverage like I just shared there. So, I think that he's he's a fine pick. I don't think that you should be drafting him to start him. Like, you were drafting him as a bench stash,
26:32but this is like the the Eagles offense could easily be a top 10 offense. He was supposed to go really high in the draft.
26:38He did. Uh, and this is a situation where we've historically got fantasy production for. He's one of those end of season bloomers this year from I mean their buys not till week 10 but I can see this happening in week eight and
26:51beyond uh where you know we're early season pled a little bit andrained with the Dantavian Wix stuff. I I just don't see and envision a game one through 17
27:03Dantavian Wixs is the Eagles wide receiver 2 all season long. You know that there there's no chance of that. So look, if the running game gets fixed and so then Shawn Manning can pluck out these multiple throws from Jaylen Herz
27:15and the passing game is very good then it's not just going to be Devonte Smith that gets there, right? It's going to be
27:21another pass catcher as we have seen in those seasons when Jayen Herz is on one and they have single coverage on the
27:27outside. Both those guys are top 20 wide receivers. So Mai Lemon is the ideal like wide receiver four pick right now that as the season goes along like you can even fill in as your wide receiver
27:38five one of these washed veterans behind him and then really just keep Lemon as a stash until he gets up to like the 70 80% snap share on a weekly basis. Yeah, I see it the same way. I will say
27:49I think that his upsides kind of capped like unless you know injuries break his way and whatnot because the Eagles run
27:55the ball so often inside the 10 yard line. you have to score your touchdowns as a receiver in this offense from way
28:01out. I'm not sure if like Lemon is like Mr. like 30 yard touchdowns. So, I think that I'm kind of drafting him in the wide
28:06receiver 40s and I think by the end of the year like I'll routinely be draft or rank him as the wide receiver 33. Uh but
28:13it's going to take a little bit of time. I'm not expecting Mai Lemon to like finish as the wide receiver 15 this year. Like if Dvonte Smith's out there
28:19like Dvonte Smith couldn't do that and I know Dvonte Smith is really good. Um, so I would just be surprised if Mai Lemon could do that as a rookie even in the
28:26back half of this. The projections here for Lemon, 73 targets, 48 receptions, 626 yards, and 3.6 touchdowns. Next up is Casey Conpsion. I mean, truly our favorite wide receiver
28:40prospect of this class. Sixth pick of the 11th round still, despite us ranking him much, much much higher. Wide receiver 48 on Yahoo at this moment. I
28:51mean, I I could read the odyssey here of how many quotes Todd Monkin has on him, but he's simple one here. Said he hopes
28:57the team is trying to get Casey Conception the ball quote as often as we can. We've talked about the easy button
29:03constantly that manufactured touches, easy screens, short reception, slot and outside work. Uh Casey Conception has shown it all in this offense in the preseason. If you're watching this video, you watch
29:15it for Casey Conpion. He is the guy that you guys absolutely have to draft. Like just as simple as that on Yahoo, you
29:21have to draft Casey Conpsio. And he was my 14th overall player. He's my wide receiver, too. I even had him ahead of
29:27Mai Lemon, Jordan Tyson, Denzel Boston pre-draft and in the same tier as Carnell Tate. I just feel way better about the Browns getting Casey Conpsion involved in the offense where he's like catching fiveish passes plus per game
29:40than I do with the Titans and and Carell Tate. So, in full PPR, it's for sure Casey Conpion over Cardinal Tate for me.
29:47in half EPR it's it's pretty close between Mai Lemon Conpsion and Carell Tate but Case Conpion just like routinely goes way later than those guys where I think he's the most obvious target uh as a prospect uh I think you
30:00had this comp were you were you the Jaylen Wadd comp uh that was me he's Jay Wadd plus about 13 pounds on his back yeah Wadd Digs Z Flowers like that [laughter] those guys are awesome uh
30:12and Monin just coached Z Flowers and Hayden what we loved is the manufactured carry that Casey Conception got in the red zone. He showed something that Zeflowers kind of hasn't so far, which is true, like one-on-one tackle breaking ability to win through contact. And, you
30:25know, that's the difference between an 11 yard carry and a 16-y touchdown. It's exactly again what Casey showed. And, you know, he's given the incredible line of uh Yeah, I want to be known as the guy that corners can't tackle.
30:37Yes, I I love everything about uh about this. Also, 66% of snaps outside. He's kind of like a could play outside in two wide receiver sets, kick inside of the slot, which is like what you that's like
30:47what CD Lamb's role is, for example. It's the best role in fantasy. He's awesome at it. Also, if you go watch him
30:53against LSU, Mansour Delane and him, they didn't match up every single time Delane was a top 10 corner to the Chiefs.
30:58He was blowing by Delane like just not even close. And like you saw that also with Brandon Cay, he was also in top 100
31:04as a corner. He was awesome in the SEC and was really productive as a freshman.
31:10The models love him. My eyes loved him. Everyone loves Casey Conpsion except ADP. Uh, which is to our advantage.
31:16Yeah. And that's because of the Browns. But again, the Browns might have a difficult time getting the football to everyone on the team except for Casey
31:23Conception. Like this is Todd Monkins guy just coached Flowers and is able to manufacture touches and receptions when he needs to. Let's not overlook one during his time at NC State. He also was like a legit ball carrier like between
31:37the tackles runs and can hold up and you know win with the ball in his hands. And then two, there was a lot of chatter
31:43just from people out there that the guy can't catch. You know, he had some misy drops, a high drop rate. Hey, have you
31:49seen like a single highlight or low light this training camp of him not catching the football? It seems like in every single one in tight coverage and, you know, small windows, uh, he's coming down with the football and making some
32:02miraculous catches. Pretty cool. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't have to bring bring that up because that feels so long ago that we were talking about the the drops
32:07part, but it was real. Uh, I just want to bring up, and we talked about this both on the expert draft and especially in our wide receiver rankings, that you and
32:18I just basically want to draft these round 10, 11 wide receivers and Stribbling, Lemon, Matthew Golden, Casey Conpion, for you, Xavier Worthy as well,
32:30uh, over some of these round nine and maybe even eight wide receivers and like Michael Wilson and Courtland Sutton and so on and so forth. So, we can just flip some of those cuz I know I have them
32:41ranked in a lot of places too ahead of them. Yeah, I kind of like doing like uh my wide receiver three is like just a
32:46veteran. I can plug him in there in week one like a Steph Diggs type and then hit you guys with like two of these young
32:52guys like a Matthew Golden plus Casey Conpsion is like perfect to me. But I would say, hey, don't feel like you need to wait until round 11 to draft Casey. If you need to do it in round nine, there's again, there's no reason
33:04to wait just to try to get an extra, you know, eight picks on ADP value. I'd rather you get one of these really good
33:11wide receivers that we talked about uh slightly ahead of where they're going to lock him in because, you know, maybe your co-manager, your league mate, your
33:19friend also listen to the show and they're trying to do the same. Exactly. Problems. We are Yahoo right now, you know. All
33:25right. Next is Mike Washington Jr. Lots of quotes to bring up here. All right, the fourth pick of the 13th round, running back 45 right now on the purple platform from John Spyc, a presser he
33:38just gave like yesterday. He said that head coach Clint Kubiaak quote stood on the table for Mike Washington Jr. on day
33:45three of the NFL draft and said he was a perfect scheme fit and is plead pleased with the progression of the running
33:52back. Uh, quote, "We're all excited about the track Mike is on. I think we have an expectation that he's going to help us win football games this year. What do you say?
34:02I believe him. Uh I think he's going to touch the ball for real this year. I think the RA the Raiders are going to
34:07try to run the ball as much as they can and the game scripts aren't going to say that they can that much and I don't
34:13think that Kubak's going to care. Uh the offensive line did look a little bit better uh this preseason. Um getting Colton Miller back, uh adding Tyler Linderbomb, all that stuff matters for Mike Washington. He was at Arkansas. He
34:26was like a not a bellcow, but he was like an extremely explosive and heavily involved like change of pace guy where
34:32he averaged like a bunch of yards per carry. He was running by everybody in the SEC and plus caught 28 passes. I
34:38think a similarish season to like a lower level because you have Ashton Genty. I think it's totally possible. I would not say that he's going to like be reddraft um like we like startable as Genty is healthy, but I think that he is
34:51going to be involved for the Raiders because he is a perfect scheme fit. I I'm taking what Kubiaak was saying like
34:57at face value like that's what my eyes tell me like outside zone get him on the outside and see what happens. Uh Ryan
35:03Matthews was a comp. Latavius Murray Big Beasel Tutin like those are my three comps for Mike Washington. I I had him
35:09as a top 100 player. Consensus rankings had as a top 100 player and he's looked like a top 100 player in the preseason.
35:16So it sounds like Genti is probably going to play in the first game or so. But Mike Washington's an excellent handcuff because like that guy's massive and has been dominant in this preseason. This is going to be linked to Ashen Genty a lot. Just a quote, not even a
35:28quote from Click Kubak today, but he was asked if he was optimistic on Ashton Genty being able to play in week one
35:33versus the Dolphins, which by the way is the easiest matchup the Raiders have on paper through week 11. His answer was
35:41yes, and he grinned during it. Um, my number one statement is that Ashen Genty is not gonna have 85% of the workload like he did last year. Right. So then what's the scale? H, I really believe
35:54it's going to be 65 35 here between the two. Whoa. I really do. Um, people when they were drafting Ashton Jet 12 turn, that is not what you're expecting on a team projected for like
36:07the fourth lowest points in the league. But every time that Mike Washington Jr.
36:12touched the football in the preseason, he earned more reps, right? He earned more work. He to me has underrated vision between the tackles and then he had showed like the duality of tackle
36:24breaking uh hurdling someone at the second level and their arm tackle and then running over a safety. And I would say his tackle breaking was like the worst aspect of his game at Arkansas despite his size. He was more, hey, get
36:38a scene for me and let me just outrun everyone. He is that level of an athlete. And when Clint Kubak wants to draft you, the guy that's designing the offense who
36:49just split a backfield basically 55 45 with the Seahawks, I'm not going to that point, but I really don't think it's
36:55going to be 7525 here. Like Genty, no matter what, if he plays in week one, is not going to get the same
37:02amount of touches as they probably planned a month ago in week one. And I just firmly believe that when Mike Washington gets his chances, he's going
37:10to earn more and more and more work and have like a legit maybe two series, one series workload here.
37:15Yeah, that would be one of the biggest fantasy storylines of the season if that if that's what happens here. I I I can
37:21see it. It's not what my baseline projection would be. Hasn't this entire month kind of trended in that direction, though?
37:26I would go 72 to, you know, 28 would be my my projected um split here. Um, but if Ashen Gentine went down and the prayer
37:38circle didn't work, Mike Washington, I think, would have been a six round pick for me. Like, no problem. 433 uh speed,
37:4440inch vertical, he's 223 pounds. He can catch the ball. Uh, and the guys behind him, it's like Dylan Lowby and and the boys. Um, and there's not there's not a free agent running back, you know, like
37:55there's there's not no one's coming in like James Conor off injury, like all that stuff's not going to happen. It's Mike Washington. I do think that Kubak
38:02drafted him for a reason. they did not have to draft the running back. I thought it was like such a good value in the fourth round for them and it was
38:07such a good fit. Um I think like he's actually a better theoretical fit for Kubak versus like what Genty does as a
38:14player. Um so yeah, it'll be interesting to watch. I mean if like the Houston Texans drafted Mike Washington, you guys wouldn't hear me shut up this season. So if you think I'm saying a lot about how he's going to cut into this Raiders, if
38:25he was in, you know, another backfield, uh I would be drafting him in every single turn. It's just with this one, he's not going to have a lot of value for you as long as Ashen Genty is on the
38:36field. It's that simple. As much as I like him, uh it's just it's different when you have a, you know, 6535 split if
38:43you're the LA Rams and you're number one in scoring versus a bottom five offense and you're 6535 here.
38:49Yeah, I even like Tinksby and Seth. It's like whoever starter goes down is the one that you needed to draft, but he's
38:54like firmly in that tier of like really high-end insurance plays. Caleb Douglas is the next rookie off the board on Yahoo. The fourth pick of the 14th round, wide receiver 58. His head coach
39:09Jeff Hafley on Caleb Douglas quote taller guy who is strong at the reception point, but he's got the feel and feet like a small guy so he can get in and out of his breaks. He's a hard
39:21player to jam at the line of scrimmage. As a defensive back guy, he's big but he plays like a small guy. Those guys give you problems. They have a week six buy,
39:31Hayden. That might be a good time for, you know, the league to slow down here on Caleb Douglas. But we look at wide
39:37receiver rooms across the league. The Dolphins are probably at the bottom of the list. And while Caleb Douglas isn't a refined player right now, uh he's going to get a ton of opportunity to
39:50iron that out actually playing football and on the field. Yeah. 75th overall pick. He was one of like the surprise players to go in in
39:57the third round there. Um Caleb Douglas like a to me like an intermediate downfield threat more than someone that's going to be uh underneath. If you
40:04watch the preseason games, uh he had like one of the craziest catches up the seam. He also caught a ball that he
40:11should have been inbounds and he caught the ball out of bounds like did not know where he was. So I think that there's a little bit of like give and take with
40:17this type of of player here. The good news is most rookies, they have to wait until the by-week to be inserted into
40:23the offense of starting lineup. He's going to be a two wide receiver set player in week one. I think it's going to be Malik Washington and Caleb Douglas
40:29in two wide receiver sets and then Chris Bell is going to ramp up. I would rather take Chris Bell than Caleb Douglas in in
40:36reddraft because I think by the end of the season I just thought Chris Bell was a much better player than Caleb Douglas
40:41and I don't think that we're going to be starting any Miami Dolphins wide receiver until that the by-weeks until someone kind of shows himself like so I think it's kind of like a weird needle for Caleb Douglas to thread and reddraft where I at that point we'll
40:53talk about Chris Bell in a second. I would rather just go with the player who I thought was a lot better and more explosive. Yeah, there's a lot to say about Chris
40:59Bell in a moment. Um actually I'll just bring him up now. I mean, he he's the 11th wide receiver off the board. He's going around later in the 15th round. Uh
41:06Chris Bell returned from injury earlier than the Dolphins originally planned for. This is from GM John Eric Sullivan.
41:11Chris has worked his behind off to get himself ready. Our expectation was probably getting him back after the buy, which by the way, that was a week six buy, so not until week seven. That was our expectation. It's a testament to the
41:22kid and it also is a testament to the people that work with him every day. But yeah, we're excited about Chris. He's put forth the effort to get himself
41:27ready to go much earlier than we expected and we'll get him going. He is a dense fast guy, right? That's kind of his like
41:38route. He's kind of linear in it in a way. Uh and so these slants, these crossing routes, all of that, get the ball in his hands. We saw against bad competition and good competition like
41:50Miami, he was able to catch it and run away from everyone. So, it's absolutely incredible to me that Chris Bell was able to play actual preseason snaps. I
42:01mean, insane stuff. And Hayden, in a way, it's a cool pairing that these guys have where Caleb Douglas is almost this
42:08tall, lanky, long strider. And Chris Bell again is this more compact yet stout, big power player on top. Yep. My comps pre-draft, Debo Samuel, DJ
42:20Moore, and then Trayon Burks. Um, so obviously a very wide range of outcomes on this type of player. Yeah, I had him
42:25as my like 35th overall player. Um, and then he goes uh what 94th or so overall uh because of the ACL injury. But I think what's going to happen is uh the first five games of the season.
42:37Part-time player, get him some touches, see where he's at, make sure he can get tackled, feel comfortable, and then after the the by-week, the schedule
42:45actually really opens up. There's some really terrible defenses even like for the fantasy playoffs where like if he was as good as I thought and there's no competition for snaps like there is this like pathway that Chris Bell can hit on.
42:57He was not everybody's favorite prospect who's very very much a boom bust type of player. There's just only so many wide
43:03receivers in the NFL at that size that can run like he did. The Miami game was one of the best performances I've seen
43:09of any prospect this last draft was Chris Bell against Miami. I think someone like Caleb Douglas on another team with a different depth chart at wide receiver probably wouldn't get a lot of snaps until about week seven. But
43:22it's um it's awesome that he gets to Yep. again make plays and make mistakes and learn on the fly. And hopefully they just allow him to kind of play through all of that. They kind of have to based on their wide receiver room. We even saw
43:35in that first preseason game where he made the sideline grab. that didn't get didn't get two feet in bounds and then there was a slot fade where he goes up
43:41and like one hands it. We're gonna get this high variance nature to it as well. And Hayden, I I kind of wonder if he's
43:47going to be one of these players who has like pops off for, you know, 90 yards and a touchdown and is headlining the
43:52waiver show that we have with Joel. Uh and then in the next week follows it up with like two catches for 26 yards.
44:00Yeah. I mean that's that's definitely going to happen. I I think between the two, do you agree Chris Bell is like the
44:06one that if you're going to string together multiple weeks in a row where we finally feel confident to start him in reddraft, I think that Chris Bell has the profile to to hit that more so than Is it on your radar though that they
44:17drafted Caleb Douglas ahead of Chris Bell? Uh definitely. So, um, but I think that was with the ACL concerns and like if I now were we've removed largely most of the ACL concerns and like straight up
44:32like let's say they're drafted back to back like I would rather have Chris Bell's profile. Caleb Douglas his projections are 60
44:39targets, 40 receptions, 480 yards, and three scores. And then I'll quickly get Chris Bells here um if they even exist. I'm sure they do. Uh they are 47
44:53targets, 33 receptions, 386 yards, and two scores. What I like about Bobby Sloic and this passing attack, he's going to have, you know, extra tight ends, a fullback, and give extra protection to Malik Willis, who we saw
45:04in the preseason and we saw last year with the Packers. He's like an actual pocket passer and then he scrambles.
45:10Like I think people don't give him enough credit for doing that. And then we're going to get some big downfield crossing routes, either downfield
45:15vertical routes or kind of like the scissors action down the field. Uh, and then they tear up like single high and
45:22zone coverage and all that type of stuff. So, we're gonna get when the Dolphins have a passing attack that's cooking, it's going to be big explosive plays down the field. Yep. There's going to be no reliability here. But, I think we'll have a couple
45:36we will have a couple plays like Malik Willis to Chris Bell. You're like, "Wow, that is like athleticism at the highest
45:41degree in the NFL right there." Both of these guys will probably wind up on the waiverwire video three times this year. Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay. Sandwiched in between is Jonah Coleman of the Denver Broncos, the
45:53second pick of the 15th round on Yahoo, running back 54. ESPN's Jeff Legwald believes that Coleman quote will get plenty of work this season. He's squarely in the backfield rotation for
46:05the Broncos. So Hayden, we basically have to decide if JK Dobbins, RJ Harvey, and Jenna Coleman, if one of them has value or none of them has value in a way
46:19for an entire season in terms of drafting, but I think we'll get to certain points that individual weeks, one of these guys will be ranked quite highly in your running back rankings. Yeah, this is a a long conversation. I I
46:31think that all three of them complement each other in in intriguing ways. if you're like the Broncos like putting together a roster. Um Jonah Coleman is far closer to JK Dobbins than R.J. Harvey to the point that I think R.J.
46:43Harvey is like in the R.J. Harvey role and that's always going to exist. And then I kind of view Jonah Coleman as
46:48like JK Dobbins like more or less direct replacement where uh he can pass protect, he can catch a couple passes, but you're really like just trusting his vision and his like lower center of gravity to kind of uh take control like
47:01in short yardage situations. That said, they did give JK Dobbins $10 million and I think that Jonah Coleman is somebody that I've not drafted a whole lot of. While I agree with the narratives that are that people are throwing out there,
47:12I don't think that he's actually going to take JK Dobbins job this season. And while we think that JK Dobbins going to play four games this season, like I do think the more realistic case is like he
47:24plays more than 10. Uh, and in that scenario, Jonah Coleman, we would be like waiting to see when JK Dobbins misses. And then even in that situation that first week, are you really going to
47:34feel comfortable that Jonah Coleman is getting enough volume when RJ Harvey's there? So, he's like one of these guys where like I like him for the Broncos way more than I do in fantasy. And I will be selling the narrative that Jonah
47:46Coleman's going to steal JK Dobbins job. Um, but I do think that he can do a good impression for JK Dobbins if he does
47:52miss time. Yeah, I mean JK Dobbins has missed time every season, so I hate predicting injuries, but if there was ever time to predict injuries, it would kind of be in this case. Um, I will also
48:06add that, you know, one, a Shawn Payeyton running back has never hit 250 carries underneath him. JK Doppins was on pace for it last year
48:16before he left, I believe, in week 10. Uh, 10. Yeah. Yeah. Week 10 of last year and yet to be on like a careerhigh of carries for a running back associated
48:31to Shawn Payeyton and everyone believing like that was going to be a career season for JK Dobbins. That also equal the running back 23 in points per game during that time period. So, and the Broncos were rolling and the Broncos were rolling. And a big
48:43part of that is because like RJ Harvey is going to be mixed in in the red zone with some cool ass plays to get him
48:48receptions uh and just receiving totals in general. Now I think Jon Coleman has more receiving ability than JK Dobbins.
48:55He is more comfortable in that area but at the same time the RJ Harvey role lingers over it all. And then really how
49:03RJ Harvey got there in the end was because he had the whole thing right. He had both the touchdown scores, the
49:10receptions, and also like the grinded out work on first and second down. Yeah. I think I think what you're getting to is like let's give Jonah
49:17Coleman six weeks without JK Dobbins this year. Totally understand that. Then we're hoping that he takes the JK Dobbins role where we're hoping we get some RB 25 weeks. And that's also assuming that Jonah Coleman is in the
49:29exact JK Dobbins role and that R.J. Harvey is not graduating to more than that where I think the re the realistic
49:34outcome would be both R.J. Harvey and Joan McMullman's role grows and that this he does not become JK Dobbins and even if he did become JK Dobbins like so what you have like a flex value like I I
49:46would rather just take the tank bigs bees and Mike Washington's where it's like nothing nothing nothing now they're inside my top 20 for sure because they have the back to themselves I just don't see that with Jon okay there are three rookies in the
49:57final round of Yahoo drafts right now round 16 the first is actually Ted Hurst Hayden he's wide receiver 64 Wow um this is from Jason Light. After we drafted Ted Hurst, I personally thought, okay, this is a great situation
50:09for him to be behind these guys and learn. He may not make a big impact for us this year, but when he's one for the
50:15future, but I think he's proven to us throughout camp, even OTAAS, practice every day. He's been very, very steady.
50:22And I think it's kind of evolved into, okay, we can use him this year and he's going to play a role. This is somewhat
50:29important because Jaylen McMillan is missing practice and Ibuka is kind of practicing right now with his toe injury. So, it's just Chris Godwin and
50:40TZ Johnson at wide receiver and that's it. Ted Hurst was a fascinating prospect coming out of Georgia State where he ran
50:46a vertical route every single time and dunked on dudes that were 30 pounds lighter and 3/10en of a second slower in terms of his 40. Yeah, he was a fascinating watch. I can
50:58see how some people just view him as like this, we have to draft this guy and see the upside case. I would say that I
51:04just saw too much development needed for Ted Hurst, like take him serious this year. Comps were DJ Char, Justin Hunter, Denzel Mims, like the most boom bust like vertical players. Um, I thought he had too many drops. I thought like his
51:17like just timing and stuff working across the middle on slants and digs, everything just kind of felt off. his route running and like his where he's like gonna be hitting his break points. I felt that was off. Um and as at the
51:29same time like one-handed catch in the senior bowl and then he did have some like really wow moments when he was
51:34opening up in space. So I think it's a lot to overcome um as a rookie. Um but if Amecha and Jaylen McMillan get out of the way then like they're going to get him on the field and see what see what
51:47he has. It's at least promising that some of my concerns they have not seen quite as much uh in the offseason though
51:53Jason Light did call him a developmental prospect. So I think like they saw the same thing as as we did on tape. Uh
51:59maybe he overcomes that quickly but typically these guys take take too long to devel.
52:05Here's my pitch. Okay. If we know that Mechabuka is going to be the Z in this offense, Ted Hurst, simply put, can be like the designated sacrificial X here
52:17as you line him up in the line of scrimmage once he kind of maybe gets his release package working and makes a few
52:22dunk on you catches maybe in some role playing stuff early like Isaac Tesla did last year. Like maybe maybe that's the
52:29comparison here is Isaac Tesla in a way and how he's being utilized in the NFL versus what he was at Arkansas. Um, and
52:34if that's the case, then he only has to compete with like Chris Godwin, who we'll see if he gets back, and then uh Jaylen McMillan, who can't stay on the field right now. So, I could see us
52:47looking down in week 12 and Ted Hurst is playing a bunch of snaps as a stand on the line of scrimmage and run downfield player. It's possible. I think there's a lot of if then statements. Um,
52:58I agree. Yeah, but but I mean, people love this offense. They're drafting a lot of it. The offensive line might be the best in the NFL. And so, you know, these types of prospects like Ted Hurst, you can also
53:11fall in your face in training camp and like not know what you're doing. And yes, it sounds like the opposite of that. So,
53:18that's good news. Denzel Boston is actually after him as wide receiver 65. Um, he drew rave reviews in camp. Uh, which is understandable. Denzel Boston is a very good player. Was the 40th overall pick.
53:31Um he's going to play and start and run a lot of routes. Uh Hayden, it just might be more difficult to get him the football than Casey Conpsion. Yeah, definitely. So, but I think like
53:43Denzel Boston versus Ted Hurst, like to me, like this is not even close. Like Denzel Boston was like somebody that you
53:49could have drafted in the first round goes early in the second round. Mike Comps, Michael Pitman, Michael Wilson, like Jawan Jennings. uh depending on
53:56exactly where you're going to line him up. He's like a traditional exceiver who I thought did a little bit more underneath than given credit for. Like
54:02now you're not going to throw him screens, but could you could you throw him slants and like do that type of thing with with uh Denzel Boston? I
54:08think you can. I thought he was like a pretty uh nice route runner. He's not like crazy explosive in a straight line.
54:14Uh but I thought he was like a pretty reliable exceiver type uh who could work underneath. He's 6'4, 212 pounds. Um
54:22yeah, the problem is obviously the Browns. He needs to score touchdowns because he's not going to catch screens and then you're on the Browns, it's hard
54:27to get there. That said, like Denzel Boston versus Ted Hurst playing time this year, it'll be like a three to one,
54:34four to one. Projected for 48 catches, 584 yards, and three touchdowns. I do think he has some real red zone ability. Oh yeah. Um, I also believe that the Browns are going to be playing from behind even more this
54:47year and maybe much different on the scoreboard versus their defense being able to keep them within, you know, three to seven to 10 points a bit more often. Um, so yeah, I mean it sucks that
54:57we have Deshun Watson and Chador Sanders throwing the football here, but um, I do think Denzel Boston and his 80 targets,
55:06uh, 80 targets might be a little bit low for me. It might be like 85 or 90. The other thing that Denzel Boston has as an
55:12out is Jerry Judy getting traded uh postJune 1 trade for the Browns saves $4 million. Um so like as we get closer to the deadline I'm sure the Browns are going to be removed from playoff
55:24contention and this does seem like the front office that would you know we just watch them trade Miles Garrett if they
55:29get anything out of Jerry Judy which I do think Jerry Judy is a starter in the NFL for a contender. I do think that
55:35Jerry Judy getting traded at the deadline. It would just be Conpion and Boston like Isaiah Bond and in that situation like I could see Denzel Boston like proving something there but even then not so much.
55:46Okay. Rank these final round wide receivers. All right. Uh Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, Ted Hurst didn't sell Boston. Boston Bell Douglas Hurst for me.
55:57I'm not going to throw in Zachariah Branch even though right now he is being drafted in the final round of Yahoo. Um
56:02interesting player. I just don't know if he's a 2026 player here for the Falcons. maybe he steps in and and fills in some
56:08slot work here. At the same time, we want Drake London in the slot. We want Cal Pitts in the slot. Um, Zachariah
56:15Branch out of Georgia needs to be and USC. Uh, just needs to learn like some downfield routes and, you know, the
56:22manipulation and the storytelling when it comes to it. So, I I think this year Hayden, at least for the first half of the season, uh, will likely look at him
56:29as, oh, he's still back to that manufactured touches and when he's on the field, he's going to get the football. Uh, and I just hope that once
56:35if he ever does get playing time, we can just look at his routes and see, oh, he's actually creating separation on that.
56:40Yes. Yeah. I think it's gonna be like a per play um uh investigation on branch. He has to beat out Zakius for the slot
56:47role and then um there's kind of actually tough to do. Like that sounds like nothing. Lad Zakius has kept better players on the sideline. Yes, for sure. Um, and then there's pretty much like no
57:02reason to have him out there in two wide receiver sets. Like that would be like really pressing your luck with Zachariah
57:07Branch and like the the route tree that he had at Georgia. I did notice in the preseason like they did him did uh have
57:13him go down the the field and he had like one of those like tank Dell stop and go back to the sideline and you see
57:20like incredible athleticism. So he was somebody where like Yes. And I I think we've behaved in fantasy and then the NFL draft they behaved a third round pick, last round pick in and and even the deepest of
57:33drafts. I can say, hey, Zachariah Branch with this athleticism, he actually has a chance because we're being nice. But like previously this type of profile would be like we're drafting 12 rounds.
57:44Yeah. It's like, okay, you guys are out of your mind. I think that Zach buying the absolute lowest on Zachary Branch is
57:50actually kind of intriguing to me because he does have like the absolute rare rare start stop ability um and like versus like the Malachi Coralies and those types. It's like not even close. So like I'm intrigued to watch him
58:02because we've behaved. Okay, those are the only 14 rookies being selected in drafts right now on Yahoo. Uh we'll now go back to the top
58:09of the actual NFL draft and just go through some rookies too that caught my eye. Obviously the first is Fernando Mendoza. Kirk Cousins has now been named the starter for week one. Uh per Adam Shfter, the last six quarterbacks
58:20drafted number one overall had started in week one. However, five weeks ago, uh I would have told you that Fernando Mendoza would be, you know, lucky to play half the season. That was based on,
58:33you know, every insider relaying information from Tom Brady and Spyc and Clint Kubak and all that type of stuff.
58:39And yet, Kubak and Spyac have all been apparently wowed by Mendoza during training camp. And uh Hayden, we could hear his name called as soon as week two. Yeah, definitely. So, so they're by
58:51week's week 13. I think at the very least he's coming in after that. I think the most likely outcome he's playing way
58:56before that. And it's like looking at the schedule, they have two home games in week six and seven against the Bills
59:02and the Rams, but guess what? You're have to play some real teams this the dang NFL. Uh I thought he acclimated
59:07himself under center. I think that was like in training camp they're like we have never seen you do this before.
59:13Let's see if you can handle it. And obviously the results in the preseason games have been very hit and miss. We've had pick sixes and we've had some really
59:19awesome passes over the middle. I think in general I would give him the pass and say he's gonna have to develop and like learn when the bullets are flying in the
59:26regular season to like actually go somewhere with this. And I think that Kubak's a sharp sharp guy. So you know thank you Kurt Cousins for being a nice guy. Get through you. Let's give him the first four games. Play the Chiefs. go
59:37into New England for for the for week five, go take your L there and then week six, seven at home. I feel like that
59:44would be like what I would do if I was the the Raiders. This is obviously more of a superflex conversation for preseason stuff. Uh I'm
59:50looking at your rankings and for week one starters, you have Fernando Mendoza ranked ahead of whoever starting for the Falcons, whoever's starting for the Browns, Jacob Brassette, Aaron Rogers,
60:03Cam Ward, Gino Smith, and Bryce Young for the season. and he's just behind, you know, CJ Stout and especially only one spot behind overall Daniel Jones. So again, if that's your superflex, um he
60:16is worth a draft pick. That's for sure. Yeah. Especially if you're like one of the last to draft your quarterback too
60:22and you want to be the first to draft your quarterback three and it's Fernando Mendoza, I think that's like totally fine. I think that uh people view like
60:28Fernando Mendoza as like this like pocket quarterback and like for the most part he is. He did have some moments where he was trucking defenders uh for
60:35touchdowns and I think that you can get him involved where he could have enough rushing production to be like the quarterback 25. And I've seen enough
60:41from Kubak this off seasonason to be like there's a chance that this could like look the part. They don't have enough skill talent to actually go anywhere but like I think that this is going to be a functional organization for Fernando Menoza. Next are Jets
60:54rookies. Kenyan Sadiq the tight end Omar Cooper the wide receiver. Uh Cooper was a 30th overall pick. The athletics Zach Rosenlat believes Cooper's role quote should grow over time. He started to show some signs of life by the end of
61:08training camp. Uh and Kenya Sadique maybe showed signs of life this week. I mean apparently he is on track to play
61:15according to uh the New York Jets website, but Frank Reich on mike has said he is behind and we can't do like anything close to what the plan was. uh
61:26Hayden, it was perfectly applicable, I think, for neither of these players to be fantasy relevant to start in week one, but uh I wouldn't put it past one of them to be fantasy relevant at some point this season.
61:38Yeah, definitely. So, I mean, we've never had first round picks in the NFL draft go completely undrafted in fantasy, and that's what's happened with both of these guys. So, like I'm intrigued. I didn't even like Ken
61:49Sadique. I didn't even like Omar Cooper. I thought those were bad picks by the Jets. And I've been drafting him uh like
61:54you know 15 16 17 18th round like I I draft these guys like there's just his only upside. Uh Omar Cooper like he I
62:02didn't love him as a prospect. I thought he should have gone round two. I think Kenyan Sadi closer to round two as well for me and still like these guys are
62:09absolutely free and they are way better talented the guys that they're going undrafted again. I guess my only point is if Garrett Wilson and Adnai Mitchell are in two wide receiver sets and
62:19basically the outside wide receivers and Mason Taylor has made his claim to the tight end one spot which it sounds like he has. Yes. Then these two guys are almost battling for the same position in a way.
62:30Agree. Agree. uh where Kenan Sadi in 12 personnel is kind of your athletic receiving tight end and then Omar Cooper might be best in the slot albeit he played outside you know one season at
62:41Indiana um but yeah I mean they're kind of hey let's get the ball in their hands in the short to intermediate area and
62:48even some downfield like run the seam especially for Kenyan Sneak and you can do that Omar Cooper too uh but after the
62:53catch is like where they can really make their difference in a mismatch way. Uh, I will say completely agree. These guys
62:59have no chance for for a while, but it's a long season and if like Adnai Mitchell is struggling, I do think Omar Cooper
63:05can be in two wide receiver sets to experiment that in the back half of the season. I I think that Kenyon Sadi
63:10overtaking Mason Taylor is I think more challenging than Omar Cooper getting into the slot and then eventually coming for Adnai Mitchell or you have two wide receivers to go down. So like I would rather have
63:22Omar Cooper versus Kenyan Sneak straight up. Um, but these guys are just way too cheap for the draft capital that they got. And there's also a chance that they really don't think Sadik is ready after,
63:34you know, reagravating his injury. And, you know, Frank Reich, at least during his time with the Panthers, lined up in 11 personnel 92% of the time. And if that's the case, then Omar Cooper is going to be out there 75 plus% of the
63:47time, you know. Yep. Yep. So, I'd rather do Omar versus Sadiq. Uh, and I'm old enough to admit it. I I I have been drafting some Mason Taylor on my Gino Smith teams. Um I think he's I think he was a real player.
63:57Jeremy Bernard is next. Uh he's the wide receiver four on the Steelers right now.
64:03The wide receiver three though is Roman Wilson. To me, that should be someone that Jeremy Bernard beats out if that competition is fair. And let's say Aaron Rogers thumb is not on the button. Um
64:15they also have a week nine buy. So maybe he's more of like a second half of the season. But I think this team just has
64:20wide receiver questions in general. Like Michael Pitman Jr., Aaron Rogers was on the mic today and he said his start of
64:26the season basically might be slow. Uh he hyped up DK Metaf um and Pat Fmouth on top of this. But man, Jeremy is just one of those guys that did everything at Alabama in terms of the entire passing
64:38attack from Ryan Grub was built around him, lined up in every single spot, and when he's on the field, he just makes plays. It's that simple. Yep. Yeah. He went from Washington to Michigan State to Alabama. So, he's
64:50played in different offenses. I thought he handled himself well. He had 18 carries for 100 rushing yards on top of all the receiving work he did. He's like a very physical underneath middle of the field type of player. Jacobe Meyers and
65:02Romeo Dobs kind of come to mind. Jaylen Pulk was like the low-end comp for for Jeremy Bernard. That's what he was doing
65:08in uh the preseason. He caught plenty of passes like underneath towards the sideline, work over the middle, shed a tackle, like that type of outlook. I
65:15think they have a lot of that already on the team between Pitman, uh, their running backs, and then they have two
65:20tight ends. So, I it's be hard to make the math work, uh, as a rookie, but if Pitman or Metaf goes down, I think that
65:27Jeremy Bernard would be in two wide receiver sets, and at that point, you could you can dream of something. Um, I
65:32think Roman Wilson's not I wouldn't even be surprised if Jeremy Bernard's out there ahead of Roman Wilson in week one.
65:39Like Roman Wilson, I don't think like was fully understanding the playbook last year. And I'm sure Rogers would rather give Jeremy a chance
65:45than Roman Wilson. Eli Sters is next. Drafted out of Vanderbilt to be a I guess receiving mismatch tight end. He's an athletic freak. Uh had a bunch of production last season. Um it seems
65:58like he's at zero production in the preseason to the point where beat writers like some of my buddies there are mentioning that they might even bring in Zack Z to be the tight end to
66:09on this team behind Dallas. So Eli Sters among every name that we have talked about so far might have the most difficult path of getting on the field right now. Yeah, my fears is coming true for Sters.
66:21I was just a lot lower on Sters and everyone else. I thought Mike Cassiki was the fair comp, but it took some time
66:27for Gassiki to have some of his best moments. I just thought that he had no chance as a blocker in college and then
66:34the preseason tape was like equally as bad. Um, yeah, you have to block to get the rock.
66:41He's to He's still a slot wide receiver to me. Like I I think his best path forward is like try to be Mark uh Maris
66:47Coloulston. Uh I don't know, man. I I would guess this would be a red shirt year for Eli Sters.
66:52Yeah. Which is tough because I believe he's also an older prospect if memory serves correctly. Well, he started off as a dang
66:58quarterback. So he this is a this a we're asking him to do a lot. On that note, number 20, I just have written
67:05down all of the blocking tight ends because they were all drafted in round two and round three. So that's Bor Kercher of the Jaguars, uh Klene of the
67:14Texans, Claire of He's not really a receiving guy, but he's tied in four on the Rams right now, Sam Roush of the
67:21Chicago Bears, Oscar Delp of the New Orleans Saints, and Wills Casmmer of the Miami Dolphins. If you had to pick one
67:27of these names to be fantasy relevant this year, who would it be? Delt something happens to Jawan Johnson. They need somebody to just do yards after the
67:34catch stuff. He was my highest graded out of that bunch. Uh the other guys are like too buried in the depth charts or like they're just too like in their own
67:41role. Um so it would be dope for me, but there's Riden was not in that group. Uh Eli Raridan would be the real answer. I have him on the list. Okay, good. Don't worry. We can talk about Eli Riden
67:53now. That's fine. um he didn't play in the final preseason game along with the other starters on the Patriots which is
68:00a great sign. Um I've been shocked in I guess now the one season that Josh McDaniels has been back in New England and now we're in offseason two that he didn't make more of an emphasis to invest in the titananiels
68:15where he circumvents the draft board and he's like no actually we're going to take XYZ and screw your draft board. Um,
68:24yep. So, yeah, Eli Raridan is going to be out there in two tight end sets. And, uh, Hayden, if there's a chance of
68:29Hunter Henry missing time at all this season, which we don't want to happen, but if it does, Eli Rarin might be ranked as a top 15 tight end weekly.
68:35I see the same exact way. Uh, he's going to be out there, I think, in the the two tight end stuff right away. Uh, I
68:42remember watching him against Ruben Bane and Akim Messid were both uh, first round edge rushers uh, for one-on-one blocks, not like combination blocks, like literally just oneon-one blocks and he was handling himself very well. So, I
68:54think the blocking stuff is going to be a plus with Riden. He tore his ACL twice, so it took a little bit for his
69:00like receiving production to to kind of ramp up as a prospect. Um, but I thought that whenever he was targeted, he moved
69:07really well. 6'6, 245 pounds. He's a big fella. 77th percentile 40, 78th percentile jumps, huge hands, 11 inch hands on top of that. Um, I think in
69:18dynasty drafts like this is the guy to circle like when you brand out of names, Eli Riden is the guy that you want to be
69:23drafting and I think there's hopefully dynasty drafts are over by now. [snorts] [laughter] There people I we were just in a dynasty
69:28draft uh this week. Well, that's true. That that Yeah. Anyways, uh Carson Beck is next on this list. They have a week 14 buy. What week do you expect Carson Beck to play for the Arizona Cardinals? I'm gonna guess
69:39is going to take a little bit of time. Um, yeah, I'm gonna brutal schedule the Cardinals. It is. It is. Uh,
69:46like if they are 0 and6 0 and seven, I think we'll already get some calls for Carson Beck to be out there, unfortunately. Do you think he's going to leap over Gardenner Mchu right away? Even if like
69:58for a couple games like you'll be a Gardenner Mchu two game period in there, too, like who knows? Yeah, maybe one or two. Yeah, I mean I
70:04think it's fair to say that all three Cardinals quarterbacks are going to start games this year. Yeah. Uh, I didn't like Carson Beck's film. I
70:10thought he was he really reminded me of the broken down version of Carson Wentz where he's like a big guy, not moving
70:16that well, kind of just launching grenades over the middle. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Preseason tape better than his college
70:22tape. Uh, I guess, but it's like so hard like I mean he's talking about like third stringers and whatnot. Um, yeah. Antonio Williams is up next, the
70:34receiver for the Commanders. Um, this is one of those players that was Tyler Boydish, maybe Tyler Boyd light, 85% of Tyler Boyd at Clemson where in your head
70:46when they drafted him and they only had Terry McLaren at wide receiver, you're like, "Okay, if he has the perfect camp, perfect off season and somehow someway
70:53lines up as the wide receiver too, he's just going to be productive." Um, now that's not the case. We know that
70:59they've added Stefon Diggs and he's running behind Trayon Burks on top of it. But ESPN's John K believes rookie will quote play early for the Commanders this season. At the same time, again, it's Terry and then it's Trayon on the
71:11outside, it's Diggs on the inside, and they also have Cheg. So, I'm not exactly sure how Antonio Williams is going to
71:16get on the field. Yeah, I I'm selling that he's going to play a bunch. Uh Diggs is going to be the slot in three wide receiver sets.
71:22That's what they showed in the preseason. That's what he's he was last year as well. Um and with the Texans. So
71:28yeah, I thought that there was like a lack of suddenness to Antonio Williams game and that he would do everything else right, but I just thought that his size to athleticism ratio just made it hard for me to like see like a real NFL
71:41role. I thought he's like a fringe starter in the slot. Like Jaylen Naylor was somebody that I comped into. Uh Khalil Shakir was like his upside comp. I just think that Shakir is just like a little bit more graceful in ways Antonio
71:52Williams isn't. Um so yeah, we have not heard much of him in camp. It's been one of like the most quiet camps there is.
71:58And they have other guys, you know, like even Luke McAffrey and stuff that can get in the way of Antonio Williams. Malachi Fields was drafted next um of
72:06the New York Giants. ESPN's Jordan Ronan believes Malachi Fields will all likely start as the Giants number two receiver opposite Mick Neighbors. Uh he did the rare change from zero to number 88. I
72:18don't know if you saw that. I like it. I did. It's the opposite direction. Um, Malik Fields is or excuse me, Malachi Fields
72:23is massive and did some cool insert block stuff as well. Uh, had some big downfield catches. Uh, I do wonder if good corners in the NFL are just going to stick to his hip pocket, but um, he
72:36does offer something different than Malik Evers on the field. That's for sure. I think he's going to be in two wide receiver sets for the Giants uh, very
72:43early on. I think it's going to be a rotation for them, but it's almost like a maybe like a version of like the Trey Harris role where like you're not a
72:48full-time player, but in like two wide receiver sets, like you're weirdly out there uh for for plenty of them. Uh he
72:54reminded me of like Gabe Davis, Elica Yumor as a prospect. Um it sounds like he's having a bigger impact than like
73:01Ela Yumor was in camp. Uh and that they've actually really liked him. Totally different profile versus Darnell Moody and Darius Sllayton and those types. So, I think there's going to be a part-time role for him, but the bar to
73:12clear versus like those other guys is very low. And Sllayton could be moved at any point. Darnell Moody, these guys like no guaranteed money. So, um I
73:18thought his tape was like interesting. Uh he he had some of the moments where he was actually really fast. I know that
73:25uh um some of the onfield tracking data for him was like really really positive. Um but he was kind of lumbering whenever
73:33like he was tasked to like get in and out of his breaks. It's kind of an interesting player. I have Drew Aller written down of the Pittsburgh Steelers,
73:39but I mean I just can't see him being a 2027 starting quarterback for as long as Aaron Rogers is a part of this team. Um,
73:47I could envision the Pittsburgh Steelers, who by the way have four quarterbacks on their roster right now, doing something funky with Mason Rudolph and only for the majority of the season having Aaron Rogers, Will Howard, and
74:00Drew Aller out there. Yep, that's how I see it. Uh, I think something happened to Rogers. I think they would want to see Drew Aller the
74:06most. Yeah. Jacobe Lane fired on. That's right. Uh, is he the wide receiver two for the Baltimore Ravens? He's at least the wide receiver three and I think it's a long season where I think if I had to say, will he be the
74:19wide receiver two at some point for the Ravens? I would say yes. Uh, and that's all that I care about. Like, do you have a pathway to be the the top two wide
74:26receiver on your team? If so, then I can treat you seriously re-draft. And I think he uh easily passes those bars at
74:31this point. And he should be selected ahead of like Zachariah Branch or something that's going at the end of Yahoo Traas right now.
74:37Oh yeah, I think ahead of Omar Cooper, Chris Bell, all those guys like Yeah, this guy it's it's closer to Denzel
74:43Boston than anybody else we've talked about. Um he he is incredible at the catch point. Like that was his calling card. And if he shows a little bit more explosiveness than what we saw on college tape where I thought he was like very like he was taking his time out in
74:56the route. I can just never feel if he was like so slow where he can't do it or if he's like trying to do something that nobody else in the league tries to do.
75:03Um but he did have a good combine. Um and he's just been dominant and it's the type of wide receiver Lamar has never
75:09had. So I'm very curious to see Jacobe Lane and what that means for the Ravens offense. He's an interesting personality. I've
75:15never met him. I just, you know, every single video that the Ravens post, it's interesting where it's one of those things where things are going well. It's like, oh, he's fun. He's loud. He like
75:27is doing skits. And then when it's not going well, I could kind of get a sense that maybe it's like a bit
75:33grading, you know, in a way. Like why does this guy have so much energy? Like we just lost a game. So it's uh he's
75:39cool though. I mean it's he's a really fun player. His top 10 catches at USC just this past season were the like 10 best of any prospect.
75:45Yeah. Before last season started, Jacobe Lane was thought of as the better NFL prospect versus Mai Lemon. Obviously, Mckle Lemon had the crazy season, but the Jacobe Lane was like, this is
75:55multiple years of him like really mattering and being involved. Uh 21-year-old early to play, fourstar, 6'4, um caught more touchdown passes than Mailman over the last two seasons. Like there I'm I'm treating this training
76:08camp as like this was the there was a boom bust prospect here and he's looking like a boom. Kaylin Black, 49ers, sounds like he's
76:15the running back, too, behind Chris McAffrey. Uh I got to him late in the process uh when we were doing our
76:21running back rankings and he immediately became like a top five running back for me. Yeah. Uh just because he was clearly the best pass protection back in this class uh bad running back prospect class, but he
76:33did something extremely well. Um yeah, and it seems like Kyle Shanahan appreciates that about him and actually likes the young back. They draft him in the third round. So,
76:45like in terms of like draft capital, like this is like uh we should treat him serious as like he has a chance to
76:50matter. Uh him and Jordan James still a competition, but I would say that Black is definitely in the lead there after
76:56what he did in the preseason and uh they both missed time, but James missed a little bit more time. Uh I saw the same
77:01pass protection stuff. I had him in the same tier as Kron Allen and Jo Jonah Coleman. Like Jonah Coleman uh and
77:07Kaylin Black. To me, it's like it's all it's all types. It's about the same. So, uh, I I think that Kaylin Black is
77:14draftable in the very last rounds of your draft. If you have CMC and you're very nervous, uh, you can pick up Kaylin
77:20Black and I think that he would be a good insurance. Brennan Thompson of the Chargers is next. Hayden, we like Brennan Thompson. He's a fun player in that he's tiny and he's super fast and
77:33he does his best to win down the field. Uh, do you see like a legit pathway for Brennon Thompson to get playing time
77:39with the Chargers to be honest? Of course not. But I will say he was lighting up everybody in the SEC um as
77:46like a boundary player. This is not a slot player. This is like you're facing press man coverage in the SEC. Everyone
77:52knows in the stadium which route you're running and are you going to get open? And guess what? He just got opened all the time. So 86% of his routes were on
77:58the outside. Career 18.5 yards per catch. He ran a straight line over and over and over again. But he was dang good at it. He was one of the freestless guys. Squatted 405 lbs. Bench pressed 305 lbs. 42640. He's
78:11164 pounds. 164 pounds and he could bench 305. Yeah. Dog.
78:16Yeah. I mean, Mike McDaniel looked at his ratings and just saw strong, fast, and he's like, "We're going to draft this guy no matter what, even if he doesn't get on the field at all." Yeah. It's like John Brown. Hopefully,
78:28it's going to take a couple years though. Two Chiefs, Emtt Johnson, the running back. Cyrus Allen, the wide receiver. I would say with Emma Johnson, even if he's not listed as the running back two, even if he didn't necessarily run as the running back two to close out the
78:41preseason, he will be the running back two on this team, uh I still believe and it's different than like Mike Washington and the Raiders for example. Like everything that we are hearing about Ken
78:54Walker the third is that he's a franchise altering player, that they're going to give him everything and that when he needs a blow, that's when Emma
79:00Johnson's going to come in. At least that's my interpretation of it. People out there might disagree. No, I think I think he won the RB2 job. Uh, and then
79:07Bashard Smith is like a, you know, a Jerick McKinnon uh, type of player and that Emma Johnson would be the the
79:13insurance play to Kenneth Walker. That said, Emma Johnson like never really did it for me. Um, in general, not that that's like what we care about. Like if he's the RB2 behind Walker, then that's like all all he needs whether he's good
79:25or bad. Um, he was pretty small. I didn't think that he like ran through defenders very much. Uh, so I thought he's more of a change of pace player,
79:32but like they just don't have anybody else like really threaten EMTT Johnson. So I think I'd rather have Caitlin Black than EMTT Johnson, but I understand it's like the same same tier to me. And then Cyrus Allen, uh, he didn't see
79:43a snap until after Rashi Rice Savior worthy and Taekquin Thornton all left the final preseason game. So, uh, Hayden, despite all of the highlights in man and zone coverage, uh, Cy Cyrus
79:56Allen seems to be like the wide receiver four on this team, but, uh, I am leaving the light on. I really am leaving the light on this season. Leave the light on. That's fine with me. Um, there's a chance with him. Uh, he
80:08was used in preeason more as a slot backup to like Rashi Rice than like a threat for Taekwon Thornton. That could change as a season uh, continues. He taquin Thornton is like a downfield role
80:20player and that is not Cyrus Allen's game. Definitely. So, but like that's like his easiest way to like get into three wide
80:26receiver sessions. He's not going to steal Rasheed Rice or Xavier Worthy's job here. Um, but if Rasheed Rice misses time, then I think you can do a a Rashi Rice type of thing with Cyrus if you had
80:37to. There there's the other part of this where we know Rashi Rice is bad against man coverage and Cyrus Allen uh actually
80:45has I think some man coverage chops to his game where if opponents just week after week are like oh yeah we're going to play the Chiefs wide receivers at a high rate of man coverage and be able to
80:55slow down Xavier Worthy because uh other quarters have in the past and all that stuff then like maybe that's how Cyrus
81:01like again it's one of these cases where Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback and we don't get amped to draft any of these
81:07pass catchers really. That that's what makes me leave the wide on here for Cyrus Allen versus where he was drafted.
81:12Yep. He's a waiverwire guy and we'll he's somebody that I'm willing to track as the season progresses. I have not drafted him in baseball, but two more quick names. First is Nicholas Singleton, who was I believe a
81:23fifthround running back for the Titans. I legitimately have not heard a single thing about Nicholas Singleton in preseason. I went back and watched like 36 of his snaps. Uh he picked the right
81:35hole and then on first contact he went down consistently. Just not was just not a good prospect in my opinion. Um
81:42yeah, but people were drafted too ahead of Sean Shribbling in their rookie drafts. I just they were they were they definitely were
81:47that that did happen. U 112 for a while. Crazy. Uh that's where I think um watching the film, you know, helps out. [laughter] Seth McGawan is last and despite him
82:01being a seventh round rookie, he has won the backup job for Jonathan Taylor. Now Hayden, I don't know if we should put Seth McGawan at like the top of or near the top of the handcuff list because I
82:13think this is one of those cases that if something happens to John Taylor for an extended period of time, they're just
82:18going to get on the phone and call whatever veteran they think is the least washed and here he comes. Yes. Uh McGawan's fascinating. Um
82:26because he's also like 26. He's 26. I looked this up. He was arrested in May of 2021 on felony charges including robbery and assault. Pled plead guilty. He served three months in jail followed by a year of
82:37probation. Typically someone that goes through that they do not get any chances in the NFL. Um, and the fact that he was actually even drafted and won the SRB2 job. Like there's I think there's more
82:49upside with him because I think he fell in the draft for these type of reasons where like in theory if he's like on his
82:55best behavior, I think he could outplay this. It's asking a lot, you know, for uh almost a nearly undrafted player to
83:01to matter in fantasy. I believe he was Mike Washington's junior's teammate at New Mexico State as well. Yeah, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, I think I think they shared the backfield there. So,
83:14all right, that does it. That is 32 rookies in the time that you watched this video. Hopefully, you have a good barometer of what to expect now and early in the season and later in the
83:25season. And even in this bad rookie class, I'll say it, um, disappointing.
83:31There is going to be one, two, three, four names that make their mark and are key factors in who wins and loses in
83:37your fantasy league. So, hopefully you found them from this video. All right, Chop, Mosho, and Weaves. Uh, we're going to be back here with quarterbacks and tight ends to round out the week with our final rankings.
