0:00What's going on? It is Fantasy Football Daily. I am Grant Barfield joined by Mr.
0:04John Hansen. The guru is in the house.
0:07Today we're going to be going through a mock draft from the 104. If you're listening [music] to us on the pod, if
0:12you're listening to us on YouTube, what is going on? We're going to try to draft the best team possible from the 104.
0:27John, you just dropped your draft plan.
0:30I'm sure we're going to be drafting some of the players that you like from this spot. It is the 104. We're probably
0:35going to get one of Jamar Chase or Puka Nakou here and then we will go from there. John, how you doing, man?
0:41>> Doing well. Uh we were just talking about like I'm all in on the on all the all the ADP and all the, you know,
0:47roster construction. As you mentioned, the draft plan is up. Uh we're doing from pick four in round one. Ironically, I don't do every single spot. I do like
0:56one, three, five, seven, but obviously we got the team I drafted from the three hole and then the five hole. Close
1:03enough here. And as we were just talking off the air, like there's no right answer. Like there's a lot of high
1:09quality talent in the first like 50 players. Then there's another big drop off around 100 players. Like you know there there's no right answer here.
1:18Like, you know, we could certainly go wide receiver in round number two. I wouldn't advise against that because I think the the depth is pretty good down
1:25the board. Probably going to look into running backs, but what if Brock Bowers is there? That's that's decision time.
1:30And then rounds two, I mean, three, four, like, >> we kind of know what we're going to do, but we're not locked into anything. it
1:38it based it's based on how the the board goes and all that but you know a lot of options here uh when you're picking in
1:44most places quite frankly this year at least the first three four rounds yeah this is the one of the best second round
1:51running back groups that we've had in quite some time John I mean it's just a super talented group uh we'll have the
1:57209 on the comeback so we'll see who comes back to us here uh we get the draft started just the lay of the land
2:04here we're starting one quarterback two running backs, two receivers, a tight end, and two flexes. This is a PPR draft, and we are doing 10 rounds. There
2:14it is. We'll go Jamar Chase. Easy, easy money.
2:16>> That was coming. I actually already predicted that. I I knew would go before Chase.
2:21>> Yeah, we have it. We have in terms of projections, Chris has it. Puka over Chase. I I've been on the opposite end.
2:27I I like Chase over Puka. I think there's just a little more upside with that Bengals pass offense, John. It's just, man, Joe Burrow might need to drop
2:35back 650 times this year.
2:37>> Chase is definitely safer, right? I mean, what what what else does Jamar Chase have to show? Uh, basically, he's been durable. You know, he kind of gets
2:46dinged up, plays hurt. I mean, he's an absolute stallion. Puka, the physical playing style. You do worry about the off off the- field stuff. So, yeah, I I
2:55got no problem taking Chase uh here at four. to again I think there's only I see a big drop off after
3:04uh Puka there's only three Puka Chase and Amar Ra I think there's a big drop off right there >> yeah I agree there's a huge drop off I
3:14think that we see it here in this draft JSN goes over Aman Raw John you and I have both been saying this in all of our
3:20shows we've done together we prefer Aman RA over JSN >> yeah yeah because we're looking I'm always looking to be antic anticipatory
3:28here. Like everyone who has a brain is thinking that JSN is not going to replicate what he did last year. He's
3:36got the contract. Kubak's got like it's not going to happen. Now that said, I've taken him in some FFPC drafts at like
3:43six, seven overall. I I think it's a solid pick, but it's not the same as last year when we were proact at least I
3:52was proactively saying get JSN early third round because it's going to be a great ROI. Like we're not getting that ROI this year, but he's still a damn
4:01good player and one of the most successful impressive seasons I've ever seen from a wide receiver last year.
4:07>> Yeah, it'll be hard to duplicate that. I think I'm with you in terms of the efficiency, but I mean they didn't add
4:12anybody, John. It's like it's just Rasheed Shahed and Cooper Cup, Dusty Cooper Cup. Uh they'll do their 12 personnel and multiple tight end stuff,
4:19but I mean J there's nothing holding JSN back from another 30% target share.
4:23>> Is there a secondary receiver that you like? Cuz believe it or not, I I just did a big update on my top 200 list. I
4:29had to get this guy at least in the top 200. I know it's the most boring play I'll bring up all summer, but kind of
4:35like AJ Barner. Like he was pretty good last year down the stretch. I think Sam Darnold really trusts him. Who's to say
4:41AJ Barner doesn't get some more red zone love, scores six, seven touchdowns and, you know, hauls in like 59 balls and has
4:49a surprisingly good year.
4:51>> Yeah, I I think Barner or Elijah Royo, one of those two guys, they're going to have some usable weeks for sure, but
4:56like I I just think it's a big rotation after JSN. John, I I would like I liked Tory Horton quite a bit as a deep
5:03sleeper last year. He's going completely undrafted this year. Uh he had a nice little stretch middle of the season. Yeah. until he I
5:11think he he had a really bad groin or hamstring injury that that pretty much you know harpooned his season. But yeah,
5:16Horton maybe, you know, super super deep. I don't I don't think there's a secondary receiver here, though. And I think this is a part of the reason I
5:23like Jaren Price is a lot of the expected fantasy points in this this team should consolidate around just and Price this season.
5:30>> Yeah.
5:30>> Uh looking at the one two turn, nice little start there. Ashen Jensy and Omar and Hampton from Seabbass like that. Uh
5:38Brock Bowers goes at the 23 with a James Cook team. I love doing that with a with a running back. I I did a team last
5:45night. I drafted a team from 105 or 106 I believe. I got McAffrey and then came back got Brock Bowers and they just
5:50loaded up on receivers in that fourth fifth round pocket.
5:54>> Sure. Because you're not going to get a super elite guy anyway. You didn't you you're you're out. You know what I mean?
5:59When you open a draft with like James Cook at what was that? Nine 10 overall.
6:04Like you know there's a lot of sameness at wide receiver. So, you might as well pivot pivot over to to Brock Bowers. I
6:10I'm I'm with anyone who's in on Brock Bowers. Like, and I liked him last year, and that didn't go well, but I'm back.
6:17Uh, by the way, like, if he balls the f out, like, my man's going to get paid uh this year. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He is going
6:24to he's going to reset the tight end contract market. I'm I'm with you 100% on that, John. We're almost back up on
6:31the clock here. Chase Brown did go. Uh Ken Walker, if he gets back to us, I would love that. Uh Trey, if you
6:37wouldn't mind going over to the running backs just real quick in the pool.
6:41>> Derk Henry.
6:42>> Henry just went as well. So >> Oh. Oh, damn.
6:45>> So, yeah, it was Hampton, Barkley, Brown, and there goes Ken Walker. Uh we're going to get gooseed on >> Oh, we got absolutely screwed.
6:54>> Yeah. Wow. We could go Jeremiah Love. We could We could punt go Nico. Drake London just went. We could go Nico.
7:03>> Well, we're definitely got AJ Brown. You know, I hate to say I I'm Boy, this is I I got a name for you that's it's going
7:10to be way early, but I think with one of our next two picks, it I hate to say this. This is an overpay, but how about
7:17Javvante?
7:18>> Yeah. I can't do it in the second round over Nico, but I think we should target him in the third.
7:22>> Yeah. Yeah.
7:23>> Uh to me, it's either Nico or Jeremiah Love here.
7:28>> I'll let you break that tie or AJ Brown.
7:30One of those three.
7:31>> H I hate to say it. I'm just going to go Nico. Yeah. All right. We'll start we'll go receiver. Receiver is an old old uh
7:38200 what 19 20 start. [laughter] >> Yeah. This is this is not the not the way that John and I are typically
7:46playing, but we did we're going to have to pivot here uh with with those running backs just flying off the board.
7:51>> What's funny about the skinny jeans is, you know, I you remember five, seven, 10 years ago, I said, "Oh, these guys out
7:56there in skinny jeans drafting seven straight wide receivers." You know what's out? Skinny jeans and zero RB are out. [laughter] Yeah. I was never a sk I I could not do
8:05the skinny jeans for sure. But yeah, they're both out. They're both out.
8:08That's That's for sure. We're We're kind of being forced into a little bit of a zero running back build here, too.
8:13>> We are. We are.
8:16I'm going to go shopping for some skinny jeans, but based on our next pick.
8:19>> Oh, no. I'm sure I'm I'm not sure your wife would uh would to [laughter] imagine coming home with some skinny
8:25jeans.
8:25>> Well, they're all kind of skinny jeans when you're my age and you're kind of flabby. It's it all, you know, just
8:30jamming in there. Yeah. Yeah. Everything fits a little tighter when you get older. I feel you on that. Uh, all right. Malik Neighbors is getting pushed
8:38back up into the second round coming.
8:41Some positive news. Not going to be on the PP list.
8:44>> I did the uh Kings [clears throat] Classic draft.
8:47>> 14 teamer.
8:49>> Uh, industry draft. I got Neighbors in the third round.
8:53>> There you go. Okay.
8:54>> Late third. It was like mid to late third. I was like, I had to do it. I also took Rachie Rice in that draft. I'm
8:59like, well, I'm I'm all in on no risk and no biscuit for this team.
9:03>> Yeah, there's a ton of upside, that's for sure, with with both those guys.
9:07I mean, top eight wide receiver upside you got Rashi Rice second round, I'm assuming that one.
9:13>> Uh, yes.
9:14>> Nice. Yeah.
9:14>> 14. It was like 22 overall.
9:17>> Yeah. Yeah, makes sense. Yeah. Neighbors was getting pushed into the fourth round a few weeks ago uh with the news, you
9:22know, he might start the year on PUP, but super super bullish for him that he did not. Uh, I think that's just about
9:28the right price is like he should be going a little closer to the two three turn now. Maybe >> Yeah, Rashi is not not not gone just
9:36yet. Yeah. Uh, >> he might go right here.
9:40>> See, I took Rishi actually over Nico, believe it or not. Uh, but again, 14 teamer and I'm looking for a major
9:47needle mover. I thought Nico was a little boring. This a 12amer. I don't think we need to be as aggressive.
9:54>> Yeah. Uh, 12 teamer. And yeah, I mean, we rash might fall to us here if we wanted to go three receivers.
10:02>> God, >> uh, Bree Hall goes, Jeremiah Love goes.
10:05So, to me, it's either Javvante or Rasheed, actually.
10:09>> Yeah.
10:09>> Or Pickkins.
10:11>> That would be the third option.
10:12>> I think we need to go Javvante. I mean, we we're not going to sleep at night if we don't have at least one RB1 that we
10:17feel good about. I mean, tied to a really good offense. All five starters, hell, all 11 starters return.
10:23>> Oh, we got sniped again. I say we're talking too much shite here. Wow. Wow.
10:29>> We could pivot and go to Josh Jacobs.
10:31>> We could pivot and go to Trey McBride.
10:34>> True. Uh I would prefer another receiver actually. I think if we we wanted to go there. I'd rather go to Rashi.
10:42>> I think we almost have to go to Jacobs.
10:45>> Yeah. All right. We'll go to we'll go to Josh Jacobs here. He does project really well. Obviously, just the off season,
10:51it's the, you know, the the off the- field stuff, you know, being, we'll see how that plays out in the legal system
10:56in terms of his, you know, domestic violence case. Uh, right now it's July 28th we're recording this on. There's been no news. The Packers are still
11:04backing him. Uh, he is, he would solidly be going at the end of the second round, I believe, if that was not the case and
11:11he were cleared. Uh, but yeah, this is a >> Go ahead.
11:14>> Also, keep in mind, we're drafting against Fantasy Point subscribers. I mean, this a this a tough draft room here. We're getting our asses kicked a
11:20little bit.
11:20>> Yeah, we are. Yeah, that's one of the perks here of of being a Fantasy Point subscriber. Sometimes we'll just drop a
11:25mock draft uh on a random Tuesday afternoon. You can come in here and draft against John and I. Uh Trey dropped this in the Discord a few hours
11:32ago and immediately filled. Uh but yeah, Rashi Rice goes right after the pick right after Rashi Rice at the 305 from
11:39BS Bowen here. McCaffrey, Drake London, Rashi Rice. That is a perfect start right there. Well, I mean, if I could do
11:44it all over again, I would have taken Jonathan Taylor, but I I I can't do it at four w with a stallion.
11:52>> Yeah, I can't take I can't take McAffrey or JT over Chase. I'm just I can't. As much as I want to start, you know, with
11:57a running back in the first round, I I can't do it either. I mean, Chase is just he's too good. As much as we also
12:03like value the running backs these days, let's not forget it arguably is the easiest position to acquire a guy out of
12:12nowhere who gets volume and has a role and produces. Like it is kind of low-key an easy position to fill. Although we
12:20all kind of want to be in the runningback business these days.
12:23>> Yeah, it's it's easy to find replacement level production in a way that it's not at receiver. There's just very few
12:29receiver breakouts off the waiver wire.
12:31John, this is part of the reason why zero running back worked so well back in the 2010s. It's like passing was at an
12:36all-time high. We were in the golden era of passing and then, you know, running backs were getting injured left and right. We had like a number of years
12:43where where running backs got really really injured. Like 2015 was was kind of that prime year where zero running back really took over and it was that
12:52that was the play. And now it's it's kind of flipped and offenses are playing a lot slower, a lot more runheavy. Uh,
12:58that's completely flipped. But I still like getting Josh Jacobs for this team.
13:01We'll see which running backs fall to us here in the fourth and fifth round. Uh, we'll probably be be doubletapping running back here.
13:09>> There's a couple of guys, >> fourth and fifth round. Yep.
13:11>> Yeah. Sorry to cut you off. There's a couple of guys that look really good as RB3s who are going off the board around
13:18fifth, sixth round. We're going to have to probably suck it up and roll with one of those guys as the RB2. Yeah, I would
13:25love to get David Montgomery in the fourth round. If we could get David Montgomery, that'd be fantastic.
13:29>> Oh, you're naming names. I didn't I thought we were going to stop doing that, but yeah.
13:33>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, this is [laughter] No, was it's not live, but yeah, we every You're right, John. We need to
13:38stop naming names because every time I bring up a name, we do get sniped. That typically does happen. I got to real
13:44quick just mention Brenley 76 gets Trey McBride at the 311. That is the latest I've seen him go this year.
13:50>> 311. Good band, too. Yeah, >> that guy's gonna come original this year.
13:55>> Amber is the color of your energy and that's that's what Brenley is uh that's what Brenley is trying to to change.
14:00>> We have an Amber Alert in this league here. [laughter] >> That truly that should uh that should I I love Brock Bowers, but I don't know if
14:07there should be that big of a spread.
14:08203 for Bowers, 311 for McBride. That's a great price. You know, the one thing I'm thinking is, you know, there's a
14:15number of players that it seems like everyone's sharing a brain on pretty good players who were kind of fading or knocking down the board. Like I almost
14:23feel like I should do a draft uh you know, a counterintuitive draft and just draft all those guys. Trey McBride, um RJ Harvey, guys like that. See see
14:34what you see because I wouldn't be surprised if they do well. But we are fading most of these guys. At least I
14:39am. I'm I'm kind of in on Harvey actually. I just the passcatching role on a Shawn Peyton Broncos offense.
14:45That's what's piqued my interest. Yeah, he's probably going to be splitting with JK Dobbins and Jonah Coleman at some point this season. And you know this
14:52back it's a split backfield for sure.
14:54But if there's one player who does have the upside, it is Harvey. And and on Sleeper specifically, I think he's actually going too early. On other
15:02platforms, John, like FFPC and FFC, he has gotten pushed into the 80s and 90s.
15:05I think that's a perfectly fine pick, >> right? Yeah. I mean, it certainly is a bet on pedigree and and I'm I'm usually
15:13all about that. It's just hard for me to kind of see a path see, you know, again, a path of uh I mean, things would have
15:20to go incredibly well. Like, he'd have to improve his vision, uh, his pass protection. Jonah Coleman would have to kind of fizzle out in year one, and
15:30Dobbins would probably have to get hurt again. It's kind of a lot, but the but all could all very well happen though.
15:35To your point, >> it's just a price thing. I think the price is fine. It's just he's per it's perfectly fine price for Harvey. He's
15:42he's fine.
15:43>> Uh if he if he goes in the six sixth or seventh round, that's when I would probably be a little more a little more
15:48skittish. I had to I wanted to see what Sebass would do at receiver here. He goes Luther Burden for the upside. Then
15:53Tara McLaren is kind of like the the boring veteran value. I like that quite a bit for his two receivers. Man, I got
15:59to get a Jensy and Hampton team. I I haven't had that had a chance to to start my draft like that just yet. I
16:04like that quite a bit there at the one-two turn. Yeah, I'm feeling Hampton, man. He He is a clean pick, man. That is
16:11a clean pick.
16:12>> There is a lot to like in that profile.
16:15That is for sure. Kairen Williams gets pushed down in the fourth round. John, this is the player.
16:20>> That's another one kind of maybe counterintuitively. You know, everyone's talking about Yep.
16:24>> Right. But but like maybe one team you you draft all the the fades and see what happens.
16:30>> Well, I mean, in the fourth round, I'm I'm perfectly fine with him. I just cannot draft Kairen Williams over T.
16:37Higgins. I can't draft him over Devont Smith or Zay Flowers or Trey McBride.
16:41Uh, you know, it's just a limited upside pick in the third round. But fourth round is is a lot definitely >> it's a fine value for sure.
16:48>> That's a solid team though. It's, you know, you're not you're taking all established players here. But team 11 starts with Justin Jefferson, Saquon
16:57Barkley, Trey McBride, and Kairen.
16:59That's you you do have an anchor run a wide receiver. You do have your solid at running back and you've got a stud tight
17:06end. That's a that's a pretty good start.
17:08>> You buying the Jefferson bounceback, John?
17:12>> To an extent. Um I I definitely think it's going to get better. Um but you know, I don't think people realize that
17:20he was part of the problem last year. I don't I don't know what you think about it, but that's my takeaway. Justin
17:24Jefferson was part of the problem last year.
17:26>> Yeah, he absolutely was. We saw how low the floor can get. I I guess the the one thing that holds me back is like Kyler
17:33has never really been the most accurate passer downfield. Uh it's certainly an upgrade. That's for sure. He should be able to run the offense a little better,
17:41but I think there's there's still some downside with Jefferson. Uh you know, he's for sure one of the best receivers in football, but uh we've seen the
17:50Vikings kind of just completely misvaluate their their quarterback position.
17:54>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
17:54>> They should they should have kept that though. Yeah. Yeah. That's fine. I I was okay with it. I'm still okay with it.
18:01You know, Sam Darnold wasn't winning the Super Bowl, leading the Vikings last year. I don't believe that. I really don't. Um I think Kubak might be better
18:07than Okonnell, by the way.
18:09>> Oh, I 100% agree with you on that one. I mean, he he absolutely maximized the talent of that offense. And then
18:15obviously McDonald with that defense was was fantastic.
18:18>> Uh John and I are about to be back up on the clock here at the 409. I I will see
18:23if we get gooseed on the guy I mentioned earlier. I won't mention names here, but if Trey, could you could you pop over to
18:29running backs? Yeah, thank you, sir. Uh, yeah, I'm not a Travis Echan, ETN, however you want to say it. I'm not not
18:36really totally in on that, but fourth round is fine. He's gotten repriced with Alvin Chimera coming back. Uh, if we wanted to go that route, John,
18:45>> where are you on? Uh, >> uh, man, >> on Tutin compared to that other player.
18:51>> Yeah, I I'm you know me, I'm big on Bashel Tutin. think he's a good pick in the fifth round. All right, we're gonna
18:55get David Montgomery. There you go.
18:57Boom. Easiest click that we've made so far. Feel good about that. Jamar Chase, Nico Collins, Josh Jacobs, and David Montgomery to start our draft. I would
19:04like to take another running back here.
19:06And maybe we'll take Toutin. Uh but yeah, I'm I'm in I'm in on Bashel Tutin.
19:10Led this backfield in yards after contact per attempt. Led in missed tackles force per attempt, success rate last season on albeit a smaller sample
19:16size than than Travis ETN. Um but man, I mean there's there's real upside here in this backfield. I mean there's it's a
19:22Liam Con backfield. I mean, they've they've produced he's produced for, you know, back-to-back seasons, you know, with the Bucks and the Jags. Produced,
19:30you know, top 12 fantasy numbers at times, John, at the position. There's some real upside here. Uh Chris Rodriguez has not been able to practice
19:38all summer. You know, I like it quite a bit for this team, especially.
19:41>> Of course, uh the guy that I was going to suggest had just went off the board right after we took Montgomery, that was
19:45DeAndre Swift.
19:47>> Yeah, >> I like Swift more than Tudin.
19:50>> I like Swift as well. I think there's a little more upside with toot and Swift just feels like a floor play. DeAndre
19:56Swift has finished as his top 24 running back in points per game in every year of his career. It's pretty crazy.
20:01>> Uh do you like him? Do you like Swift more than ETN? John?
20:04>> Yes.
20:05>> I trust him more overall better offense. I mean, let's be honest.
20:11It's a better offense.
20:13>> Kamar coming back definitely hurts ETN's like receiving upside. I don't know if it really changes like how much what you
20:20think of his like median projection in terms of the rushing, but uh yeah, I mean it it definitely hurts the upside
20:26quite a bit.
20:27>> Feel like he'll be an empty empty calorie guy a little bit. Echan Echan.
20:31Could we call him Echan instead of Han at the very least? How about Echan?
20:35Travis Echan.
20:36>> Echan just combine the two. Uh Tedo McMillan goes at 412. This is actually where I kind of think he should be
20:43going. He's more of a 3-4 turn pick in most leagues. Uh, but Jir Gibbs, Bree Hall, AJ Brown, and T McMillan for our
20:50guy Troy Moy, who's a part of the Fantasy Points data. He's part of the Fantasy Points data crew. He knows what
20:55he's doing up there with the 101. That's a nice and Christian Watson. This is a Fantasy Points crew right here. That's a
21:00nice pick.
21:01>> Right in my heart right there cuz I've been getting Watson everywhere.
21:05>> Yeah, [sighs] I was >> I got him in round six in a 14 teamer over the weekend. The Kings Classic.
21:13I mean, that was >> that's stealing.
21:15>> Yeah. I also got David Montgomery. So, I open up uh Jonathan Taylor, Rachie Rice, comeback Malik Neighbors, then David Montgomery.
21:25>> Uh >> those are fantastic receivers in a 14 team league, John.
21:28>> And Watson as my three.
21:31>> Yeah, I I have been drafting a ton of Christian Watson. Little bit of a teaser here. John Hansen just dropped his draft
21:38plan last week. If you have not already subscribed to Fantasy Points, you can use code fantasy, get yourself 10% off and read John's draft plan. Uh little
21:47teaser here, Christian Watson is absolutely one of John's favorite players. He's one of the 12. I won't say which one of the 12 he is, but he is
21:54very very high on that top 12 list.
21:57>> Uh we'll come back here. It's probably going to be Tooten or >> gosh, I I don't mind ETN here actually.
22:07It's not terrible. I mean, you >> uh Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans. I'd love Garrett Wilson this year, actually. This this pretty good little pocket to draft
22:14from.
22:14>> What about uh I mean, do you look at like a tight end BPA?
22:19>> Uh I think for structure for structure, we >> a tough draft room. We're getting our asses kicked here. [laughter] >> Lovelin just went in front of us. Uh
22:30Tyler Warren went in the fourth round as well. So, no, I wouldn't I wouldn't look at tight end.
22:34>> Forget it. No, I thought maybe Warren was available.
22:37>> Yeah. Yeah. To me, it's either Toutin or or Travis TN.
22:41>> Yeah, I'll go Tooten over Echan for what it's worth. [laughter] I'd rather have the, you know, I can see a world where Toutin absolutely delivers
22:51the goods.
22:53>> We'll go B shell Tutin for a little bit of upside. We've got Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery, and Tutin as our three
22:58running backs. I think with Tuton, you know, he's definitely more of like a I would like I like him in these builds
23:05where I've got two rock solid running backs. Even though we kind of did go like with a little modified zero RB
23:10going Chase and Nico in rounds one and two, I like having kind of like the you know rock solid production we can count
23:15on with Jacobs and Montgomery and then just swing for the fences with Tuton.
23:19ETN goes pick after to BS Bowen. He's got a Macaffrey, London, Rice, Loveland, and ETN team.
23:27Yeah, John, I think this is just the the right price on ETN. I think this is where he should have been going all
23:32along. He was a third round pick a couple weeks ago. Now he's he's sliding back into the fifth. I think this is the
23:36right spot for him.
23:37>> You know what I'm doing this year? And this is like literally the most basic point. It's like top five in terms of
23:44most basic, rudimentary, elementary, whatever you want to say points you can make in terms of drafting. But I think we lose sight of it sometimes. I
23:53certainly have this year and we're doing it in this draft. I am trying my best to avoid drafting players on bad teams,
24:00period. Like I think Quenchon Judkins is really good.
24:03>> Yep.
24:04>> Passed on them in the 14 teamer because I think the Browns might may stink. But if you look at our team our team here,
24:10Bengals, I mean, that's what's a eight eight nine win team uh by Vegas. Nico, you know, they the perennial AFC South
24:19winners. Uh who else do we have here?
24:22Jacobs, you know, obviously >> Packers offense. Packers offense might be real good this year, John.
24:27>> Yeah. And we got another Houston Texan, you know, good team. And then the Jags playoff team. Like, so all of our
24:33players are supposedly good teams, you know. I think that's one little minor little tweak that you could make to probably help yourself out this year.
24:43>> I'm with you on Judkins, man. I I love the talent. Loved him coming out of college. I I had him ranked over Trevon
24:48Henderson as prospects. I I just think he's a fantastic running back, but man, I mean, it's just like it's a bad
24:53offensive line, bad quarterback, and a team total that I mean, it's a bottom three team total. It's It's really tricky. And
24:59>> this fifth this fifth round pocket is, I think, pretty good for running backs. We haven't seen uh Bucky Irving just go go
25:06just yet, but you know, in the fifth round, you know, attached to the Bucks is their early down runner. I think it's
25:10a fine price. Jaren Price, my boy, is starting to go a lot earlier, man. He's starting to get some steam. He was going
25:15to the sixth round pretty much all summer. He goes here at the 57. A structure pick here from Phil 25. He
25:22needed a running back uh running back, too. So, I like that quite a bit. But, yeah, I you know, it it's it's for
25:29running backs in particular, John. Um I think it's been one of the most underrated things. Like, unless you're a great pass catcher like Devon Achan and
25:37you have that out where you're like getting high receiving volume.
25:40>> Yeah. Team quality is just like it's almost everything for running backs. It really is.
25:45>> Exactly. Exactly.
25:47>> Part of my concern for Jeremiah Love this season. Cardinals are dead last.
25:51Exactly.
25:51>> Dead last in implied points per game.
25:53>> 100%. 100%. I'm not even considering Love, quite frankly. And I've I've been a guy who said that for decades that you
26:01can often get nice little discounts with the rookies. Well, I'm not taking like any rookies this year. Uh, by the way,
26:09I'm not that into the rookies this year.
26:11late late round dart throws fine, but like first hunter picks you can have them.
26:16>> I like Jarian Price >> other than Price.
26:19>> Yeah, the price the price has come up for sure uh on on Jadarian Price, but yeah, I like Jarian Price. I I like
26:26taking shots on like Casey Conpion and Denzel Boston. I think one of these Browns receivers does pop. Um you know, the volume should be there. The Browns
26:33are going to have to pass a ton.
26:35Nobody's really talking about this, but this defense is going to take a massive step back with no Miles Garrett. like they they might be really really bad
26:41this season.
26:43>> Uh which is good for the passing game. I still have major concerns like I was just saying with the quarterback group,
26:48but you don't really have to pay for it uh with any of the rookie receivers there or Jerry Judy if you want to go
26:53that route. I'm not a Judy guy uh this season. Uh >> 14th round though, I'm I'm okay with it.
26:5813th 14th round.
27:00>> He is still 27 years old.
27:03>> I know. It's crazy. He came into the league so long ago.
27:07>> I I know it's it's crazy. We've been talking about this guy for it feels like legitimately 10 years.
27:12>> Y >> um >> Brian Thomas goes at the 5'11. He has also come up in price. He was consistently going in the sixth round.
27:19But John, I got I got to say the value of this draft so far is Garrett Wilson at the 508. He should be going in the
27:24third round. That's phenomenal value there from uh the the person drafting at 108 there.
27:29>> Yeah. Yeah. There's a, you know, again, there's a lot of quality um, you know, first 50 picks and then, you know, a little bit of drop off and
27:37and still more uh, picks 50 to 100. I always noted, not always, but like recently I'm just like I noticed that
27:44there's a little bit of a drop off after the first 100 picks. So, you got to you got to make you got to make those count.
27:49And and there's some good quality throughout that one through 100 overall, you know, range. in particular at receiver. I think this this is uh this
27:58board if you're watching us on YouTube here looking at the board right now. I mean look at the quality of receivers
28:03going in the fifth round. It's Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Roma Dunay, and Brian Thomas. I feel pretty
28:10comfortable saying at least two of these players are really going to pay off their ADP. Uh they're getting pushed, receivers getting pushed back because
28:17running back is getting pushed up. John and I kind of had to pivot pivot a little bit in this draft. uh taken uh
28:23Nico at the 29, came back and got our three running backs. John, which direction you thinking here for our next pick?
28:31>> Yeah, certainly not really thinking quarterback cuz Burrow may >> I would have liked Burrow. Yeah, >> they're they're off the board. Um by the
28:40way, like Burrow doesn't really run anymore. Like it's kind of crazy that people are taking Burrow in, you know, over 45 overall when Matt Stafford, who
28:51just threw 46, is available 100 picks later.
28:57>> Yeah, Brock Perie is going two and a half rounds later. Dak's going like a round and a half, two rounds later. And
29:03unless it's a Jamar Chase or T. Higgins team, I have not drafted Joe Burrow this off season. I >> I'm done with
29:10>> I would have I would have definitely advocated for him for, you know, on this team for obvious reasons, but because we
29:16have Chase.
29:17>> I just Yeah, I'm I can't do that price either. Hey Trey, would you mind looking at receiver only for us real quick? Uh
29:23Carnell Tate, Jordan Tyson, DK Metaf. I am buying Marvin Harrison a little bit.
29:27This is a big long flat tier here. We could go I see you got your boy QJ already teed up, Trey. I I know where
29:33you're going with that one. It is It's a little too early for our boy QJ. Uh, all right. We're back on the clock here,
29:38John. Uh, Marvin Harrison would be my top receiver. I am buying a little bit of that bounceback. We don't necessarily need to go there. Running back. Take a
29:46quick look there.
29:48>> Could go RJ Harvey. Jaylen Warren. Um, >> Warren at all.
29:53>> Yeah, I don't like Harvey.
29:54>> See, my boy Chuba went off the board.
29:55That was pretty interesting.
29:57>> Uh, and it's a little too early for Rico, so I think we got to go wide receiver. And I'm I'm probably with you
30:02on Harrison. not on my target list, but that is one player that I deliberated about for months in terms of like this
30:10is a huge year. Of course, last year was a huge year. He's all jacked up. Of course, last year he was all jacked up.
30:16Uh but at least we got the Jacobe Brassette situation cleared up. And we took him. And and look, I'm I'm a big
30:24pedigree guy. Like there is a reason that Marvin Harrison was drafted when he was drafted. There is a reason that fantasy managers were taking Marvin
30:32Harrison at like freaking 15 overall uh a couple of years ago. So, it's a calculated risk and a calculated bet that the light finally comes on and we
30:42see the true best of Marvin Harrison this year in year three. I also think that the thirdyear breakout wide receiver might be coming back in vogue a
30:50little bit as well because, you know, this is one of the reasons it corresponds to my not really being into the rookies these days because the
30:56rookies have been kind of ass over the last couple years. So maybe the third year wide receiver thing is kind of
31:02back.
31:02>> Yeah, I think we got a little uh we got a little treated by Jamar Chase in his rookie season. I think a lot of people
31:07have you know Malik Neighbors as well.
31:09There's been some Puka. Yeah, for sure.
31:11I mean there's been some huge receiver breakouts as rookies. Uh, but yeah, I mean it by and large rookie receivers have been a little disappointing over
31:19the larger sample. I think Marvin Harrison's just good at football, man. I I listen, I I was out on Harrison last
31:25year. I thought the price was crazy. He ended up getting hurt, but he played nine full games last year, John. And in
31:30those games, I mean, he was, you know, averaging 13.4 PPR points per game. That was wide receiver 17. The role was
31:36pretty good. Got 20% of the targets, 40% of the air yards. Pretty much completely ether Michael Wilson. And now the entry
31:42point is a sixth round pick. Uh I'm way more interested in that. Uh even though I do have, like I was just saying, I got
31:48big concerns about this Cardinals offense this season, but the entry point from for for Harrison in the sixth round is is pretty nice.
31:55>> Well, the big thing is like who's going to line up at X?
31:59>> You know, I don't know if you saw the quotes from Michael Wilson, but he said that most of the production that he, you
32:04know, the numbers he put up last year, he was playing X.
32:07>> So, he's going to they're going to give him a shot, I guess, to play X. He should be their vertical exceiver. I I
32:13think I think they're going to kind of move all these players around. The floor is he's certainly one of these guys who
32:18is, you know, he's not going to have just stagnant designated roles in this offense. Uh they're they're going to be using a lot of motion to get Harrison
32:26and Wilson off press coverage, get them moving before the snap as well. Uh so yeah, Harrison should be their kind of
32:32vertical threat. I'm with you on that.
32:34But, uh, I think he he in terms of value, this is the best price that Harrison by far the the the best price
32:41that I've been interested in for Harrison for a number of years. John, we'll come back here on the clock in just a second. Uh, I would be very
32:48interested in Jaylen Warren here if he gets back to us because I think after that, Trey, if you wouldn't mind going
32:53to running back. Uh, just real quick.
32:55>> We do have the three though.
32:57>> Yeah. Uh, I like Jaylen Warren quite a bit here.
33:00>> Do we really need a fourth?
33:02>> Do you want to I mean, Harold Fannon and Sam Lefford just went at tight end.
33:05>> Oh, >> so we'd have to pivot a quarterback.
33:08>> I I like waiting on quarterback this year.
33:10>> I mean, Daniels is not bad. I hate to say it at this point, you know.
33:15>> Let's wait on quarterback. Let's get another running back is about to fall off a cliff here.
33:21>> Yeah. All right. You want to go Warren?
33:23That's fine. He is good. I loved him last year. I like Rico more this year.
33:28>> Yeah. Full PPR. Full PPR. He's going to be Rogers safety blanket underneath. Tom made a really good point on one of the
33:34pods we did a couple weeks ago where he's like I think I kind of think Warren just takes over that Kenny Gainwell
33:39role.
33:39>> Oh, totally, totally. Now, Rico is a pretty good receiver, so he'll probably get some consideration there. But absolutely like Jaylen Warren deserves
33:48to play and if Rico is going to get the majority of the early down carries, which we expect, um then I mean that's
33:55it. He's got to be the third down back.
33:57But but that's probably his ideal role.
33:59Let's be honest.
34:01>> Yeah, he was miscast a little bit as their kind of centerpiece running back last year. I'm with you on that. You
34:06know, Caleb Johnson was just a complete bust. I think that's the way they wanted to play. Uh is is playing Warren kind of
34:12more in his traditional passcatching role. Part of the reason, John, I wanted to push quarterback is you got to feel the room. Josh Allen goes in the fourth
34:18round in this draft. So Jackson gets pushed all the way into the seventh round. There goes Jaden Daniels. He definitely was the best player on the
34:25board. But I was just looking at this team from like, man, we we could really use another good running back that we
34:30feel feel good about. Uh just in case David Montgomery, you know, does split a little bit with Woody Marks in terms of
34:36the pass downs and, you know, we needed another player that we could kind of count on besides Bashel Tutin. Here come
34:42all the quarterbacks. Jaden Daniels and Jaylen Herz go back to back as this this draft room pivots [laughter] back over to
34:48>> quarterback room, man. I mean, the bottom line is >> I do I love our team? No. Uh, do I love
34:55Fantasy Point subscribers? Yes, I do.
34:57Uh, [laughter] but but they're they're kicking not kicking our ass, but this is an asskicking draft. I mean, this I mean
35:05like we we we deliberated over Marvin Harrison and I actually had the thought of well, you know, >> if he doesn't pan out, we can get
35:12Michael Pitman in three rounds, two rounds. He went the next pick.
35:16>> The next pick. Yeah. Yeah. This is a uh very very sharp room because Rashad White just went into the seventh round
35:22player that I've been pushing up my board as well as more of like a ninth round pick. Uh yeah, running back
35:27running back dried up real fast there. I felt I felt pretty good about that Jaylen Warren pick just just cuz we we
35:33could use another running back on >> from a from a roster construction perspective. Like it just didn't work out for a tight end and certainly not a
35:43quarterback. when you open a draft in 2026, wide receiver, wide receiver, you'd be damn sure um attacking running back cuz you don't want to be left out
35:54in the dark. That's exactly what we did.
35:56Uh is it the greatest group? No. But again, this is a really tough draft room.
36:01>> Yeah, very very sharp draft room. Ricky Pierol goes here in the seventh round. I was just hyping him up a little bit as a
36:07little bit of a sleeper, John. I know you're in on Pearl this season as well.
36:11just just I mean not a great sign that he's already got a knee brace on or still has a knee brace on. So that's
36:18that's it.
36:18>> Just being super cautious with that.
36:20>> Yeah. [sighs] Yeah. I know. But you know I I promise people if Ricky Pierall ever stays healthy fully for a whole year,
36:29he's going to go for like,00 plus yards.
36:32Uh maybe even 12. Like he's good. He's really good. Yeah. Wide receiver nine an average separation score last season.
36:39wide receiver three in route win rate.
36:43The small sample has been pretty good on Pier. John, you've got a pretty crazy stat. Like whenever he sees five or six
36:48more targets, he's been very productive in >> it's like um it's like wide receiver I think it's like 11 or something like
36:57that and is in his >> He's been a good wide receiver too.
37:00Yeah.
37:00>> With six or more targets. Yeah, the numbers are pretty outstanding.
37:04>> We'll round out here this seventh round.
37:06Carninal Tate goes at the 711.
37:09>> I'm not feeling Tate. I'm just not.
37:12>> And normally I would kind of kick the tires on a guy like that. You know, pretty talented guy, pretty sizable guy,
37:18going to step in, be the number one.
37:20Brian Dayball, more of a professional coordinator. Uh Ward gets a another year a year under his belt, but I'm still just not feeling it, you know, with with
37:31Tate. Um I guess maybe if things are lights out in the preseason, I'll feel a little bit better about it. But they
37:36also have a bunch of other guys that are probably going to be in the mix. I'm just not What do you think about Tate?
37:41>> I c I have not been be able to get super excited about it either. It's just he goes in a pocket where I'm I am pivoting
37:47over to quarterback usually in this range taking a look at tight end as well. I just, you know, Cam Ward closed
37:54out last season playing good ball, like legitimately good ball. If you're watching the Titans the last four or five games, I I thought Cam Ward took a
38:01big step forward in a bad situation last year. Obviously, Callahan gets fired after a couple weeks. Brian Brian Dable should be a little bit of of stabilizing
38:09force there. Carell Tate obviously has the talent to be an alpha wide receiver, but >> yeah, seventh round, it's just it's it's
38:16tricky because I I think he's he's a player, at least in year one, who has limited upside due to the quarterback
38:22situation. And then they bring in Well Robinson who's always been a target earner, John. Wandell's always been at like a 20% target share. He will kind of
38:29cap a little bit of the ceiling for Carnell 8. I think I'm less interested in Wandell by the way >> than Tate.
38:36>> Yeah.
38:36>> Yeah. Wandell is just a floor like PPR play. I think he's I think he's underpriced in the sense of like
38:42projected volume, but yeah, in terms of upside, there's there's not a ton there.
38:47>> Uh receiver is looking pretty good here.
38:49DK Metaf, I know you've you've been a DK Metaf hater for a long time, but eighth.
38:53>> But that's another counterintuitive pick. like if I'm going to go against the grain or even my own thought, you know, not like I'm not wrong all the
39:01time when I make hundreds of predictions, you know, I I want to draft my all basically my skank squad. Uh and
39:09um Jaylen Herz would be my QB1, you know, >> the hedge squad. The hedge skank squad.
39:18>> Right. Right. Yeah. This is Man, I'm I'm really >> I would like Kyle Pittz a lot here.
39:24>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, now, as I just mentioned, we can't open two wide receivers and get a good tight end because we need the priority is running
39:33back, which you've hit because we'll get opportunities at tight end and and that's one of them. I'm actually shocked, by the way, that Herbert is
39:42long gone in that Kings Classic. Not to keep going back to that one, but I got Herbert two rounds after Lawrence in the
39:5010th round.
39:52Usually those injur those industry expert leagues, man, they they always push quarterback in my opinion a little too far.
39:58>> Yeah, they do. And that's that's one that definitely does. Uh Pitts goes so we'll just punt tight end. I think this
40:03is just a big long flat tier. Let's take a look at quarterback.
40:07>> Uh we could go Dak here if we wanted to.
40:13>> I kind of want to push quarterback as well for our last two picks.
40:15>> I do. I do.
40:16>> Yeah. Uh should we take another running back here? Who do we >> got? Got 45 seconds.
40:21>> Who do we have at running back?
40:23>> Dobbins, Kenny Gainwell, Aaron Jones.
40:28>> I mean, it's boring as hell, but Dobbins.
40:31>> I think Dobbins makes sense, too, Joan.
40:32>> Yeah, >> let's go Dobbins.
40:36Kind of an early season.
40:38>> Good offense.
40:39>> Yeah. And he could be an early season usable asset where maybe it takes a couple weeks for Bashel Tutin to get
40:43ramped up. Uh, this actually ended up being a pretty decent running back room here. Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery, Bashel Tuton, Jaylen Warren, and
40:50Dobbins. We've got a bunch of different kind of players here. Warren could kind of be the PPR guy. Jacobs and Montgomery
40:55hopefully get all the goal line stuff.
40:57And then Toot, you just, you know, shoot for the moon here. Dobbins not a bad RB5 on this team where we're loaded at
41:02receiver with Jamar Chase, Nico Collins, and Marvin Harrison.
41:06>> I mean, it's boring, but there's nothing boring about guys getting consistent snaps and touches and fantasy points.
41:14And that that would be that would be Josh Jacobs in his career, by the way.
41:19And and basically David Montgomery in his career in terms of like maximizing the number of touches he gets sometimes in Detroit. He didn't get a lot of
41:26touches. And then at least we've got a speck of upside here with Tutin.
41:31>> Yeah, Toutin definitely the upside play.
41:33That's for sure. Uh John, let's plan out this quarterback and tight end uh real quick. Um >> well, I think we could just wait for
41:41last round on tight end. I think it's just like a big long flat tier um quarterback.
41:46>> What about an old guy >> trying to squeeze another big year out of like Kelsey or mans?
41:52>> I like Andrews quite a bit late.
41:54Kelsey's just like been almost unusable when Rashe Rice is healthy. Um you know, there's a couple decent good games, but over the last two seasons, Kelsey's been
42:02like tight end nine or tight end 10 by volume. Um I don't know. I just I don't know if I necessarily want to bank that
42:09on a Chiefs team that's probably going to be running the ball a little more this season than than in prior years.
42:13>> Well, I like Mandrews more as a pick as well, even though we do have Kelsey higher and I think I do as well, but
42:21Mandrews also goes after Kelsey. Um, >> let's go quarterback here. Caleb Williams or Dak would be the two to me.
42:30>> Um, Dak. Yeah, I listen I I know watching Caleb Williams play football is frustrating as hell sometimes, but the guy's got to rack up fantasy points,
42:38man. In terms of his rushing ability and you know, in Ben Johnson we trust.
42:42>> You you you you prefer Caleb?
42:45>> Uh yeah, I do. Especially especi Yeah, especially at this point uh the draft here. I mean, it's really nice price.
42:51Like I was saying, quarterback has been pushed way down in this room. Caleb's going like seventh round in most drafts.
42:56Sixth, seventh round, QB6, QB7. Neither one of them are on my target list quite frankly. Even though, you know, I'm not
43:03vehemently against them. I think Dak is going to be fine, but he's a little older, doesn't run. Caleb obviously a lot of escapability and some serious
43:14firepower, but the the inaccuracy uh scares me just a little bit. But again, at this point, I'm I'm fine with it.
43:21>> Yeah, Caleb Williams took, you know, big pretty big step forward last year, though, John. I mean, underneath the hood, the touchdown rate came up, yards
43:26per pass attempt came up. He really basically crushed his sack rate. He cut it in half last season.
43:32>> Oh, he was impossible to sack.
43:34>> Yeah. And you know, I I really think, you know, Ben Johnson truly is I mean, maybe the best play caller in football.
43:40It's either him or Shawn McVey. And I mean, two years ago, Ben Johnson, you know, coached Jared Goff's best season, got him a 37 touchdown season.
43:48>> To your point, >> I do have I'm looking at my top two. I do have Caleb over uh Dak.
43:54>> It's just there's there's more upside there just because of the rushing ability. Yeah, >> you know, that's really what it is.
43:58Dak's never going to run, >> right?
44:01>> All right, so we'll go. There goes Dak.
44:03The decision gets made for us. We'll go Caleb Williams as our quarterback. Uh Daltton Concade goes uh Wow. Nine two. I guess he's forced
44:13entitled. Oh, I see. Dak went right in front of us anyway.
44:17>> Yeah. Yeah, the decision got made for us there. I Brock Pury would have been the third option there for me and then
44:23probably Dart and Mahomes in that order.
44:26Uh, that would have been the way I would have thought.
44:28>> Definitely have gone pretty over Dart.
44:29I'm not into Dart at all.
44:31>> Oh yeah. Yeah. Perie. Pertie is one of my guys this year for sure. Love him as a late round quarterback
44:36>> though. The neighbors news absolutely does help the dart narrative.
44:40>> It does. It certainly does. Uh, but man, >> you see that introductory press conference with John Harbaugh? I mean, I
44:48kept saying it like, "What is like I just have a really bad vibe?" And it was all on display right at right out of the
44:56gate. The first freaking five minutes of their their team, you know, get together for just to open up camp. Like, do you
45:03see that video?
45:04>> Yeah. What's the opposite of running through a wall? Uh, [laughter] that's that's the opposite of what I wanted to do.
45:10>> Walking away from a wall. [laughter] >> There you go. Yeah. Walking the opposite direction. I will walk away from a wall
45:17for that man.
45:18>> I just listen. I think Harbaugh is, you know, he's he's a CEO coach, right? Like I think that's we feel that's exactly
45:26what he is. As a CEO, man, hiring Matt Nai to be your offensive coordinator.
45:30Really, it really raises some questions to me. I just I just can't get can't get I can't get over that with Matt Nai and
45:38then you're Greg, you know, Greg Roman's your backup. It's uh >> Yeah. Like he can't quit Greg Roman, >> you know?
45:43>> Yeah. Like they ran him out of town, Johnny, while they were there in Baltimore because his passing game was basically running game guy.
45:53>> I mean, Greg Roman was getting like offensive coordinator love because he had Lamar Jackson, you know, Lamar Jackson was the MVP. I mean, it wasn't
46:00it wasn't Greg Roman, it was Lamar Jackson being one of the freakiest players we've ever seen in the NFL. Uh, and yeah, Roman is a good run game
46:07coordinator. Uh, he's a fine run game coordinator, but yeah, the pass game is is a concern for the Giants this year.
46:13I'm with you on on Dart, though. Getting neighbors back fully fully healthy is is nice for his uh for [snorts] his
46:19projection. All right, we're rounding out the ninth round here, John. I think we're uh let's see. I think we're going to be the last team to take a tight end.
46:27Yep. So, we'll probably get Andrews or Kelsey, one of the old guys. We'll get an old at tight end. Um >> there's some crap uh on the board here.
46:36I'm not I'm not into Gatston. Hunter Henry, you can have him.
46:41>> Yeah. Um, likely you can have them. I I don't want likely. I'm not feeling that at all.
46:48>> Uh, I'm with you on that. I think a lot of the upside actually around Isaiah likely was like maybe the volume upticks
46:53with, you know, neighbors not being fully healthy, but uh, yeah, that seemingly changed uh, with neighbors probably not going to start the year on
47:01PUP. We should be good to go for September. Uh, I'm not feeling it with likely either. I think the same the same
47:06logic has applied uh, that's applied for likely over the last couple years applies again. You know, he's going to probably be a part-timeish player with
47:13Theo Johnson, even though Theo Johnson's not not the world's best athlete. That's for sure. [laughter] >> Terrible.
47:19>> You You're calling him the robot last year, John, which is hilarious.
47:22>> Awful, man.
47:23>> Uh but he's he's still going to play.
47:25He's going to play and probably block likely quite a bit. Uh Mark Andrews has been one of my favorite late round
47:31sleepers. Uh I've been talking him up a little bit as like a postype player. Uh with no Isaiah likely, no Charlie Kolar.
47:39He should be a full-time player once again. If all else >> Go ahead.
47:43>> No, I was just going to say if all else fails, Mandrews is not a bad backup playing at tight end.
47:48>> No, I've been taking them left and right. And in that 14 teamer, by the way, it's one quarterback, two running
47:54backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, and then three flexes.
47:57>> Yep.
47:58>> So, in a league like that, a guy like Manus, I think, is perfect. Like not only can you use him as a tight end if
48:05you need him, but [snorts] if things go as well as we think, you're going to be using him every single damn week with
48:11three flexes involved.
48:14>> Oh, 100%. Yeah. Deep in deeper leagues, I typically am like I want to get like a rock solid quarterback, but I'm I very
48:23much like late round tight end because there's always value. There's always guys off the waiverwire to pick up. I like that quite a bit. Rounding out the
48:3110th round here, we've got uh Michael Wilson finally comes off the boards, Stefon Diggs and Casey Conpion as the receivers. Running back completely died.
48:39John, I think we were right to just take Jaylen Warren and JK Dobbins when we did because after that, uh there is not a
48:45whole lot on the board. Kenny Gwell >> and Jordan Mason are the only two Yeah, I was about to say Kenny Gainwell and
48:51Jordan Mason the only two running backs that have gone. I can't get there with Mason. I I think he's I think he's
48:57better than Aaron Jones in terms of projection. the early down, you know, uh, stuff should mainly go to Mason, but, you know, Aaron Jones is probably
49:04going to play more in passing downs.
49:06This has been a very pass heavy team in the red zone, too. I just don't see a whole lot of upside with this backfield,
49:12personally.
49:12>> I I can squint and see a world where where Jordan Mason is good. Number one, like they've got to control the line of
49:20scrimmage a little bit more and run the ball. like they they need to establish the run uh quite frankly for their
49:27quarterback regardless of who it is. So that's that. I don't think that Aaron Jones can hold up much in terms of early
49:34down work. So I think they're kind of going to pivot over to using Aaron Jones as a change up runner and the third down
49:41back. Now Deont Clayborn, the rookie, could carve out a role because he's got a lot of juice. But I do think there's a
49:47world where if the Viking offense is effective, it will be because Jordan Mason is having success on those early down runs. The offensive line should be
49:56a lot healthier and maybe they score a lot of touchdowns. The one buzzkill would be Kyler uh because they don't run
50:01the ball well in tight and I think Kyler is the antidote to that potentially his legs. So he might I think he's going to
50:10run in four or five or six this year at Mason's expense. But I do I do think Mason will have a successful season if
50:16things go well in Minnesota.
50:17>> Yeah, that Kyler it's a great point. I mean Kyler certainly could kind of limit the upside here. But the last three
50:22years, John, Vikings have finished 31st, 17th, and then 25th in total running back scored. Running back scored him in PPR leagues. There's just not been a
50:30whole lot of upside with this team.
50:32We'll round out our draft here with Mark Andrews. Travis Kelce goes right after him. Officer one double taps tight end.
50:38>> Uh John, I'm with you. This isn't my favorite team of all time. I thought a couple of weeks ago we drafted an
50:43absolute hammer team. I think that was from like the 103 or 102 or something like that. But we got Jamar Chase, Nico
50:50Collins as our top wide receivers. Then we just took a shotgun to the mid-round running backs. Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery, Bashel Tutin, Jaylen Warren,
50:56and JK Dobbins. Not a bad team. Uh I like our late round value of Caleb Williams. I'm I'm with you. I'm not like
51:03super excited to draft Caleb Williams, but in the ninth round, absolutely. Sign me up.
51:07>> Yeah, I mean he is still he does fit the profile. Obviously, the guy was the number one damn pick in the draft.
51:12What's this? Year four.
51:14>> Year three.
51:15>> Oh, it was only three, right? So, but year one felt like two years. Um, but yeah, no, he he he absolutely improved
51:23in all areas last year, by the way.
51:25Like, I could even tell, you know, me with my body language, uh, being around Caleb at the his combine, I could even
51:32tell that Ben Johnson had coached him up. He was a lot more serious, seemed a lot more focused, and that kind of did
51:39play out on the field for sure.
51:41>> It did. And the Bears are still looking for their first 4K passing yard quarterback. Maybe Caleb Williams gets there this season. Uh nice little team,
51:51John. This has been a fun mock draft.
51:54And the 101, >> Shout out to all the participants. They made it a tough draft.
51:58>> Yeah, our our Fantasy Point subscribers, you're not lying. They they definitely made it a very tough draft. I got to
52:03just the 101 this year is just like an it's just a cheat code. This team is a complete hammer. Gibbs Hall as his
52:09running backs. He comes back. He gets AJ Brown, Ted Roma of McMillan, and Christian Watson. He comes back, gets Jacobe Myers. It's like kind of a boring
52:16receiver value. Our guy Shrimmo just completely dominated that draft. He gets my gold medal. Uh gets the gold medal for this draft.
52:24>> Yeah. Yeah. And you're big on Rico.
52:26Makes a lot of sense. That's Mike McCarthy's boy.
52:28>> Absolutely.
52:30>> All right. for John. This has been an excellent 104 mock draft over on Sleeper. If you've not already subscribed to Fantasy Points here on the
