Aaron Rodgers

PositiveProjection25:03

Aaron Rodgers is a recommended streaming quarterback with 42% ownership; he has recorded 11 passing touchdowns over the last four weeks, the most in the NFL, while averaging 270 passing yards per game. He benefits from a soft upcoming matchup against the Saints, who play man coverage at a bottom-three rate, a scheme against which Rodgers' yards per attempt nearly doubles.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeInjury30:53

Alvin Kamara is dealing with a back injury, but medical expert Jeff Mueller expects him to play in the upcoming week.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeBreakout26:59

Williams is a speculative waiver wire watch-list candidate following the potential season-ending injury to Terry McLaurin; the source notes he has failed to produce in previous opportunities when teammates were out, but highlights a positive comparison to Amon-Ra St. Brown from a colleague.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeValue17:46

Baker Mayfield is a viable streaming option owned in 24% of leagues with a favorable upcoming schedule against Carolina, Atlanta, and Chicago. While he averages 19.2 fantasy points per game over the last three years—outperforming Dak Prescott and Matthew Stafford—the source expresses concern regarding his current thumb injury, poor early-season performance, and ranks him in the 'D-tier' behind Aaron Rodgers, JJ, and Kyler Murray.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection8:46

The source prefers other rookie quarterbacks, specifically JJ McCarthy, over Bo Nix in a current 2024 class redraft scenario.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeUsage45:20

Chase Brown has struggled with inefficiency this season, leading to concerns about his workload as Samaje Perine eats into his touches. The source notes that Cincinnati's bye week prevented any clarity on the backfield split, but remains concerned that Brown's role is shrinking; he is viewed as a negative for fantasy rather than an impact player, and his handcuff value is contingent on injury.

Insight page

CJ Donaldson

NegativeRole31:53

CJ Donaldson is utilized as a hybrid fullback/halfback for the Saints, playing roughly 50% of his snaps at each position.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

NegativeProjection18:57

The source uses Dak Prescott as a statistical benchmark, noting that Baker Mayfield has averaged 1.1 more fantasy points per game than Prescott over the last three years.

Insight page

Davis Allen

PositiveRole35:45

Scott Barrett identifies Davis Allen as a high-upside target in the Rams offense, noting his fantasy points per route run double without Davante Adams. He projects Allen as the team's potential number two receiver, making him an 'S-tier' waiver add for those needing tight end help.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection8:40

The source considers Drake Maye to be an awesome quarterback prospect and ranks him as the best in his 2024 class, acknowledging that previous takes favoring other rookies over him were likely incorrect.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

PositiveBreakout60:30

Returning from IR, Sampson is a B-tier waiver target who could steal work from the inefficient Quinshon Judkins. While he is a slasher-type back rather than a bellcow, he offers more long-term upside than Roschon Johnson or Kendre Miller.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeBreakout3:41

McCarthy is a high-upside waiver target owned in only 2% of leagues. In limited action, he recorded 243 passing yards, 26 rushing yards, and a two-point conversion in less than a full fourth quarter. He is considered fantasy viable if starting due to his rushing upside, arm strength, and receiving weapons like Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely. While he exhibits a high-risk, high-reward style with a high interception rate, the source notes his turnover-worthy throw rate is not as extreme as his interception numbers suggest and he benefits from a high-volume passing offense. In a 2024 class redraft scenario, the source prefers McCarthy over Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, and Michael Penix Jr.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper10:13

J.J. McCarthy is considered fantasy viable as a streaming option if he starts, due to his rushing upside, arm strength, and receiving weapons like Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection6:45

The source uses Winston as a statistical benchmark for inefficiency, specifically citing his 5.2 yards per attempt as a negative comparison point. He is characterized as the archetype for the 'Jameis Winston experience,' defined by high-risk play and turnover-prone tendencies.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeUsage12:28

Despite recording zero drops in his most recent game, the source remains critical of Jameson Williams' overall performance, specifically citing poor route running and a drop rate that is unfavorably compared to Matias Bukinger.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeProjection8:46

The source prefers other rookie quarterbacks, specifically JJ McCarthy, over Jayden Daniels in a current 2024 class redraft scenario.

Insight page

Jordan Whittington

PositiveBreakout38:57

Scott Barrett highlights Jordan Whittington as an 'A-tier' waiver target due to his 67% route share in weeks two and three without Adams. While acknowledging he may be 'dead roster space' long-term, his potential to serve as the Rams' number two receiver provides massive theoretical upside.

Insight page

Justice Hill

NegativeRole61:51

Hill is used as a historical comparison for the specific pass-catching role Dylan Sampson was initially slated to fill in Todd Monken's offense.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

PositiveValue29:47

Kendre Miller is a low-priority waiver target (D-tier or 1-2% FAAB) available in 66% of leagues. Despite a 20-carry workload, he ranks 53rd of 55 running backs in yards after contact per attempt and faces a potential return of Alvin Kamara, which limits his upside. The source suggests letting someone else pick him up and notes he has less long-term upside than Dylan Sampson.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeValue11:43

Owned in 51% of leagues, Murray is on the border of waiver wire relevance. The source expresses skepticism about his long-term outlook despite a favorable upcoming matchup against the Colts. He is currently ranked as a streaming option behind Aaron Rodgers and JJ McCarthy, but ahead of Baker Mayfield.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeProjection18:57

The source uses Matthew Stafford as a statistical benchmark, noting that Baker Mayfield has averaged 1.5 more fantasy points per game than Stafford over the last three years.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeProjection8:46

The source prefers other rookie quarterbacks, specifically JJ McCarthy, over Michael Penix Jr. in a current 2024 class redraft scenario.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeUsage70:51

Mike Washington saw increased involvement in the running game during the recent Raiders game, recording only one fewer carry than Ashen Genty. Despite his explosive potential—evidenced by three career runs of 18+ yards—the source views him as a run-of-the-mill handcuff with limited upside, likely stuck in a committee role without significant passing-down work.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeValue50:13

Cooper is a waiver wire target currently owned in 4% of leagues, though no specific performance analysis is provided by the source.

Insight page

Rachaad White

NegativeUsage24:59

The source views White as a B-tier waiver target, noting that while he is not particularly talented, his role as a pass-catching back in a high-scarcity position makes him valuable; he is currently competing for touches with Austin Ekeler in a struggling offense.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveUsage46:02

The source identifies Harvey as Denver's primary pass-catching running back and effectively their wide receiver one, noting he is a significant competitor for targets in the offense.

Insight page

Roschon Johnson

NegativeUsage64:13

Roschon Johnson saw a significant workload in the fourth quarter, but the source suggests this was likely due to the team's quick turnaround for a Thursday night game rather than a permanent shift in role. While he lacks the long-term upside of players like Dylan Sampson, the source prefers Johnson as a safer spot-start option for fantasy managers in need of immediate help.

Insight page

Samaje Perine

NegativeUsage65:29

Perine is 5% owned and saw his workload increase to roughly half the backfield share last week, out-carrying Chase Brown. The source remains skeptical of his standalone value, viewing him primarily as a handcuff whose presence is a negative for Brown's fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Tank Dell

NegativeBust27:53

The source is bearish on Dell's fantasy outlook, citing injury experts who believe he suffered a career-ending injury and will never be the same; additionally, he faces a crowded wide receiver room in Houston that includes Nico Collins and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveBreakout23:36

The source ranks Ferguson in the A-tier for waiver wire targets, citing his massive upside as a potential number two receiver in a Sean McVay offense; he is noted for his recent breakout performance of eight targets, 93 yards, and a score.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeInjury31:11

Medical expert Jeff Mueller projects that Travis Etienne will return to action by week nine.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

NegativeUsage37:13

Scott Barrett notes that while Davis Allen was injured, Tyler Higbee operated as the primary tight end, maintaining a 70% route share and averaging roughly seven targets and 12.6 fantasy points per game.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeValue38:47

Scott Barrett uses Tyler Warren as a benchmark for tight end rankings, suggesting that anyone currently starting a tight end ranked below Warren should prioritize adding Davis Allen.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeUsage47:40

Tracy is currently trapped in a four-man running back committee in Baltimore. The source describes the situation as a 'hot hand' approach where no player has earned significant or consistent playing time.

0:00Week seven, waiverwire. We are breaking down the names, the strategy, and everything you need to know here on Fantasy Football Daily with Brett and
0:09Scott. [music] Are you serious? [music] >> What?
0:18That's awesome.
0:20So sick.
0:25Hey, if you're a returning subscriber, you already know what [music] makes this the best fantasy football show on the planet. Hit the like button, leave us a
0:31comment. If you are new here, don't forget to subscribe. Click the bell for notifications so you never miss an upload from Scott or myself, Brett
0:39Whitefield. Scott, we're in week seven or we're a third of the way through the season.
0:45>> That is in that's it's insane. I feel like we do this every year though where we like talk about how fast it's going
0:50and then all of a sudden the season ends. But I really do think it's moving faster this year. And that's probably
0:54because you and I have to do a daily show. I shouldn't say have to. We get to do a daily show. Uh, and I feel like
1:00that's made it just fly by. It's like we have a very rigid schedule of recording and prepping for shows and it's like
1:08feel like I'm always chasing my tail, man.
1:10>> Yeah. Very busy. Uh, but enjoying it, having fun. You know, time flies >> when you're having Hey, I like that
1:16shirt.
1:16>> Oh, yeah. It's a good shirt.
1:18>> It's a good shirt.
1:18>> Fantasy Point shirt. Where did you get that?
1:22>> From uh that was part of the swag bag you sent me. You know, >> you go to fantasypoints.com and then you click on more in the top
1:32more [snorts] shop and that's where you go. Uh we take like zero profit on it and we have really high quality
1:41um fibers. I don't know what the word is for that, but um >> yeah, it's very soft.
1:46>> Yeah. Yeah. and and with zero profit. We just think it's cool if you want to do like free advertising for us and it we
1:51think it looks good. So >> yeah, >> check check out that.
1:54>> Um this this one in particular is really good for I don't know why but like wicking sweat. I'm serious. Like I'll go
2:01play a full soccer game in this baby and it it dries really fast.
2:04>> Yeah, it looks a maybe a size too small on you, Brett.
2:07>> Oh, I you know I like my stuff tight.
2:09>> That's uh it's a personal problem. I'm sorry. Yeah, but actually when I first got it, it was loose, but then I washed
2:16it and dried it and it shrunk quite a bit. So, think about that when you're buying one. All right, let's dive right
2:21in. Dude, we got QBs. We get to talk about my boy again, JJ McCarthy. Scott, the prodigal son,
2:30week seven. What was the prediction all along, Scott?
2:35>> Week seven, he was going to start was your prediction.
2:37>> Yeah, that was my prediction >> before the Giants even made the trade.
2:40That was my prediction, which is funny.
2:42Now, it's not offici he's not like officially starting yet. We still don't know, but he's only owned in 2% of leagues.
2:48He's got uh Houston coming and then a by-week and then Philly.
2:54How bullish are you on JJ McCarthy? I love that I uh I get to have this conversation with you.
3:00>> I don't know, man. I I'll let you take this one and I'll really like not try and rein you in too much. This is your
3:07boy. Um he played less than a full quarter and he had 243 passing yards and he had 26 rushing yards and he had a
3:17two-point conversion all in less than a full fourth quarter. Nearly led the team back from this, you know, tremendous uh blowout. And yeah, he looked amazing.
3:27Like you look at the highlight reel that was circulating on Twitter, dude was balling out. He was ripping it. It was
3:32like a 100 miles an hour the ball coming out, but he was also layering the throws. Um, and so like should I believe like maybe it's
3:42possible Brett wasn't wrong. Brett's all-time biggest miss was JJ McCarthy.
3:46And maybe he's not. Maybe JJ McCarthy is kind of nice. Certainly a nice setup here where the Giants are throwing the
3:54ball like 50 times a game. And uh yeah, you the stats you see it here on this.
3:59He had 243 passing yards in less than a full quarter. was, you know, more than any Vikings quarterback in any game this
4:05year nearly. He had 11.6 yards per attempt. Winston Shuck were at 5.2, so like less than half that. Uh, and you
4:14see it on the screen here. I thought this was hilarious is like, you know, the Jameus Winston experience is a thing. Historically, JJ McCarthy is even
4:23more Jameus Winston than Jameus Winston.
4:26You look at it by hero throw rate. You just put it back on the screen for a second. hero throw rate easily first.
4:33Easily f and like no one else comes close. But then by interception rate, he's also easily worst.
4:41Him and [ __ ] Sanders and Tua and then no one else comes close to that. And >> some of that's some of that's unlucky
4:47though, right? Because his hero his turnover worthy throw rate wasn't the highest.
4:50>> Yeah. Wasn't that bad. It was still pretty bad though. It was still like >> Yeah.
4:54>> Nearly Will Levis territories.
4:57>> Nearly.
4:57>> Scott, this guy, I just love him. I love me some. You know what it is? My man just needs to be challenged. You know,
5:04he needs that difficult tight window throw or he needs to rip a go ball. It's like those those short throws. He just
5:10doesn't care about that. You know, it's like he needs to be challenged. Uh no, I'm kidding. I I think may you know, obviously like my
5:20general take that he was the best QB in the class is is probably wrong. Drake May's awesome. Caleb Blame is trending
5:26in the right direction. I'd still take him over Jaden Daniels, Bon Knicks, and Michael Pennix, though.
5:32Go to my head right now. If we were doing reddrafting that class, >> I'd still take him over those guys. So,
5:37>> yeah.
5:39>> But that said, um, what are we doing with fantasy? Are we waiting till we get news or is it is it too late if you wait
5:45or do you just go do it right now? Do you pick him up right now?
5:47>> Well, I I he listen, he's minus 250 to start this week. I I think there I think he's almost a lock to start. I
5:56would be so shocked if he didn't start.
5:57So, like with that assumption, it's still like are you adding this guy?
6:02Like, do you really see the upside for him to be a true difference maker?
6:07>> Yeah. I mean, Jamus is putting up fantasy numbers, right?
6:11>> The last couple Well, in the last couple of weeks. Yeah. And before, >> right? And and McCarthy's got the the
6:16rushing upside. He's got a massive arm.
6:18He's got Malik Neighbors and Isaiah Likely. Regardless of what you think about JJ McCarthy, there's no way you can't convince me he's he's not fantasy
6:25viable if he's starting.
6:27>> Well, define fantasy viable.
6:29>> Stream like you said on yesterday's show.
6:31>> The right matchups.
6:32>> Streaming in the right matchups. Yeah.
6:33Maybe don't go play him against Houston.
6:35That's trending up. That's probably >> And then he has the buy right after that. So >> Philly though >> in the in the state Phillies in. That's
6:41a great spot to start him.
6:43>> Okay. But that's multiple weeks away and this is a week seven waiver show.
6:47>> Correct. Correct.
6:49>> I see what you're saying. So from from that standpoint, yes, I got I gotcha. I follow Dtier. Dtier's fine with that just
6:56because quarterbacks are they're available. You you can stream other guys for now, you know.
7:03>> Cool. I'm fine with that. Kyler Murray, I mean, he's breaking the rule. He's he's owned in over half the leagues,
7:0951%. But it's right on the border, so we should talk about him.
7:14Uh two of his next three matchups, though, are tough. Denver's defense also trending up playing better finally despite Bon Knicks. Um Seattle's defense
7:24I think has a lot more in the tank.
7:27Dallas defense though stinks. So are you buying the Kyler Murray thing? I mean I'm still not really a believer. I think I'd rather have three of the four
7:35quarterbacks that we're going to talk about. But >> yeah. Well, we we kind of or at least I kind of hyped him up a little bit
7:42heading into this buy. Yeah, he was he was on buy last week. Oh, crazy stat for you, Brett. You're not gonna believe
7:49this. Jameson Williams had zero drops last week.
7:53>> That's crazy.
7:55>> Because the Lions were also on by, Vikings on buy. Um and and yeah, so I was I was kind of bullish. Why? Because
8:03the week before we saw signs of life, you know, he he was kind of disadvantaged by wasn't able to play with Justin Jefferson in this game. He
8:10didn't have TJ Hawinson. He didn't have Jordan Addison. and he had 10 carries for 51 rushing yards. He had only six
8:19incompletions on 30 attempts.
8:22>> Uh and he looked kind of good, right?
8:23And so this was the thesis heading into the off season is that, >> you know, Kevin Oonnell's this quarterback whisperer. Kyler Murray, he
8:32runs. He was always productive, at least up until Call of Duty drops, which I believe is still two weeks. No, it's
8:39Friday.
8:40>> Okay. Okay. Well, he does have a great matchup this week. He's up against the Colts who are giving up the seventh most
8:46fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
8:47But you have to balance that with Call of Duty dropping.
8:50>> Wait, why does the show sheet say Denver?
8:54>> Uh, >> I can't even trust the show sheet now.
8:56Is that what you're telling me?
9:00Uh >> oh.
9:02>> No, I'm mad.
9:05You're right. It is It is the Colts. It is the Colts. Yeah. So, so I I don't know what happened there, but uh yeah,
9:11here's the thing, though. I feel like JJ McCarthy balling out makes me more pessimistic on Kyler Murray, right? It was like Kevin Oonnell is still the guy
9:20he just McCarthy sucks. And now now you're you're questioning that.
9:25>> Thing is, >> in less than a full quarter, he basically had more passing yards than any Vikings quarterback has had in what,
9:3210 games?
9:34>> Yeah, dude. J.J. McCarthy's on pace for over a thousand passing yards a game right now.
9:39>> Damn. Look at that.
9:40>> Isn't that crazy?
9:42>> Yeah.
9:43>> Yeah. Uh Dtier.
9:45>> I I hate on pace for stats so much because >> Oh, I know. I That's why I use them in
9:50like comedic fashion.
9:52>> Yeah.
9:52>> He's not actually on pace for a thousand yards game.
9:54>> We're going to do another Dtier.
9:56>> Yeah, I like Dtier.
9:59He has a great matchup this week if you want to stream him, but you know, maybe he's gonna pull a Jaylen Herz and not
10:05sleep all weekend because uh >> don't no >> no Call because Call of Duty comes out.
10:12>> That's probably actually true. That's actually probably No, don't edit that out. That's That's a great call.
10:16>> Yeah. Okay.
10:17>> Yeah, he Call of Duty drops Friday.
10:19>> Jay Jaylen Hurst didn't sleep at all and played in London because he's a Warrior.
10:24Kyler Murray isn't gonna sleep all weekend and he's gonna play football because >> he's a warrior.
10:29>> He's a gamer.
10:30>> No, he's a play he's a warrior in the game. It's a first-p person shooter.
10:35>> Yeah. Yeah, he's a shooter.
10:37>> Yeah, maybe Ctier because the matchup.
10:40>> Well, all right. Well, maybe we could revisit when we're done with quarterbacks because because we got quarterback.
10:46>> Yeah, if you want to start stubby Baker Mayfield, then sure.
10:49>> Why is he stubby?
10:50>> Because his thumb dumb. Stub his thumb dumb. Okay, >> Baker Mayfield's next on the list. He's owned in 24% of leagues, which means
10:58he's widely available to you if you'd like to play him against the Carolina Panthers, whose defense stinks.
11:03>> Yeah, they're giving up the eighth most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
11:06Um Tom Pelisero, go ahead.
11:09>> Okay, you actually had that matchup, right? Thank you.
11:13>> Tom Pelisero reported optimism that Baker Mayfield plays this week. Jeff Mueller agrees there's a chance.
11:20Um, and he doesn't just have a friendly match up this week, but his next three are Carolina, Atlanta, Chicago. And so
11:27I'm thinking about two things. One, he averages 19.2 fantasy points per game over the last three years. That's despite playing through a bajillion
11:37injuries. 19.2 fantasy points per game is 1.1 more than Dak Prescott, 1.5 more than Caleb Matthew Stafford. And so there's there's that. He has a a nice
11:49little stretch of schedule here, but you have to counterbalance that, Brett, with what you told me is week one, week two,
11:56it's like he stinks. He looks lost. I don't know what happened to him. And so, again, this is another one where I'm
12:03going to lean heavy on your film expertise.
12:06>> The time he hurt his thumb, he was playing very bad football. I I'm not going to assume he's going to be better
12:11with a messed up thumb.
12:14>> I don't think his thumb will just be 100%. You ever dislocated a finger?
12:18>> No.
12:18>> Okay. I do it all the time.
12:20>> Why? That's stupid.
12:21>> Jiu-Jitsu.
12:22>> Oh, >> it literally happens every third training session, right?
12:26>> It's like it's it's not 100% for a long time.
12:31>> Like if I went to throw a football right now, I couldn't. You know, I'm not a I'm not a quarterback, but like
12:36>> you get what I'm saying? Like it's it's going to be a lingering issue. I think >> you want to you want to tell the
12:40listeners what kind of belt you are?
12:43>> No, I don't want to talk about that. You want to tell them what happened last time uh we were in the same room
12:47together?
12:49>> Put you in a Boston crab real quick.
12:51>> Yeah. [snorts] You >> flying flying uh platada real quick.
12:57>> I'm fairly confident I could submit you with my hands tied behind my back.
13:03>> I say that like completely ser dead ser 100% serious.
13:07But >> I could I could submit you if I were Matias Spookinger. How about that?
13:13I'd love I'd love to give it a shot.
13:16>> You You want to know why I went on a 15-minute rant about Matias Buinger?
13:21>> So I stop underestimating you?
13:23>> So I could have a new Jame Williams count.
13:26>> Those there's there were some >> Jame Williams runs routes like Matias Bukinger. Jameson Williams has a worse drop rate than Matias Buinger.
13:35>> Yeah, there was some Marv Harrison Jr.
13:37jokes in there, too. That's pretty funny.
13:41Um, >> yeah, maybe his real dad was Matias Bukinger.
13:45>> Can I pick a completely random fight with you?
13:48>> Go ahead.
13:48>> We do this thing where we're looking ahead at schedules and we keep including Atlanta as like a soft defense to play.
13:54They're not. They're >> not anymore. No.
13:56>> Why? What?
13:57>> It's probably been It's been true for like four weeks, but we keep saying >> Yeah.
14:01>> Their pass rush >> pass rush is disgusting. They're They've given up the So, they've seen the most drop backs against them in the
14:09league. So, I think their passing yards allowed stats look a little inflated, but uh those have been some wild game scripts where like if you actually look
14:17at like yards per attempt allowed and incomplete force incomp completion rate, like they're actually pretty solid.
14:23They're not like a great defense, but they're not definitely not we're not picking on them like we are Carolina and Chicago, if you know what I mean.
14:29>> Yeah.
14:29>> And by the way, Chicago's played two No, sorry. Chicago's played like one really good defensive game in a row now.
14:36So, but anyways, small small sidebar there on Atlanta's defense. I I have to I have to remind myself to stop saying that
14:44because I keep saying, "Oh, they play Atlanta. That's but they're Atlanta's pretty good." So, defensively.
14:50>> Yeah. Yeah. They're giving up the 13th most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks with the >> Yeah, that's not playing strength of
14:58schedule.
14:59>> It's not a pick on defense, though. And and a lot of that is volume related.
15:03Like I said, they've they've seen the most drop packs in the NFL against. So, Aaron Rogers, 42% owned.
15:12Oh, we didn't we didn't rank Baker.
15:14Sorry. Baker >> Dtier.
15:17>> Dtier.
15:20>> Um Aaron Rogers.
15:22>> He's got New Orleans, Cleveland, and then the by-week.
15:28>> New Orleans has given up a ton defensively this year.
15:32Yeah, he he has 11 passing touchdowns over the last four weeks. No one else has more than 10. He averages >> Jared Golf had a by week, but
15:42>> he averages 270 passing yards per game over this span.
15:45>> It's pretty good.
15:46>> Yeah.
15:46>> And he's he's not even like particularly playing all that well, he in addition to the soft matchup with the Saints, Saints
15:55play man at a bottom three rate.
15:58Rogers yards per pass attempt like nearly doubles against zone uh over the last two years. So I kind of like that.
16:06>> I like it too. We have Jeremy Bernard emerging, >> right? Did you see Rogers?
16:13>> We do. But he >> Yeah, >> he did lose Roman Wilson and Michael Pitman. Or maybe that's a good thing to
16:18lose Michael Pitman the state he was in.
16:22>> Yeah, but he I think he really likes Bernard. He had more positive things to say about him yesterday.
16:26>> Again and again. I know. I know.
16:28>> Yeah.
16:29>> He's like the anti-Jef Janice.
16:31>> Okay. Among these four, who would you most like to play this week? Because I think that is really matters for this
16:36conversation because it is quarterback after all. We are we're talking about these guys in the context of streaming.
16:42>> I I would have it Rogers, but honestly, it's it's really just going to come down to whoever [laughter] Chris prefers.
16:47He's he's been he's been nailing the QB projections this year.
16:52I'd go Rogers, JJ, Kyler, Baker. So, should we go Roger Ctier?
16:57>> Yeah.
16:58>> Okay.
17:00Boom. And then pay attention to the projections.
17:04Scott, you know what this week is?
17:07>> Is it your birthday? Happy birthday, Brett.
17:10>> It's It's not my birthday. It's actually better than my birthday. It's free week.
17:15>> Be better than your birthday.
17:16>> It's free week with fantasy points data.
17:18>> Whoa.
17:19>> Data Suite 2.0 know is completely free this week. You know what's crazy? Our goal with Fantasy Points data when we
17:26started it, it was pretty ambitious. We wanted to build a football analytics engine as good as, if not better, than what NFL teams use.
17:33>> That's really ambitious for a little old fantasy football site to be better than the PFFs of the world.
17:41>> It doesn't it doesn't end there, though.
17:43>> That was just part one of our ambition, our ambition. Our mission part two was to make it less than $200 a year.
17:51>> That's crazy. Why would you make something that should be your your closest competitor is $200,000 a year and you're 10,000.
17:59>> I ask our CEO that all the time. Why?
18:00Why did they make this guy?
18:03>> But hey, with Data Suite 2.0, I'm pretty sure we accomplished both things on the mission card. But don't just take our
18:09word for it. We'll let you be the judge.
18:11This week, we're giving everyone free access. All you have to do is go to fantasypoints.com, create a free account, and then head over to
18:18fantasypointsdata.com and see what you've been missing. No payment required, no strings attached.
18:25Just the best football data on the planet. Free all week long.
18:29>> Yeah, it's a it's a little inefficient.
18:31Listen, we're not going to ask for a credit card or anything, but you have to go to fantasypoints.com, make a free
18:35account, you go to login or sign in, whatever that is, and click create an account.
18:40>> Yeah, I don't think we're going to do anything. Maybe maybe we email you, but then you could just opt out. I I don't
18:45really know how that works, but >> yeah, let's just let's just let's just be honest. Let's just be honest. We want
18:50your email so we can continue to talk to you after you you do the free job.
18:55>> I I just don't know if there's an option to like opt out of emails or if we just automatically enter you into the email
19:00thing.
19:00>> Do we even send emails, Scott? I mean, that's [laughter] >> We Well, you get access to the newsletter. So, we have a twice weekly
19:07newsletter that's actually awesome and like really valuable and and fun.
19:11>> Um, and then uh yeah, so you just create an account fantasy points.com and then you go to a separate URL fantasy points
19:18data.com. It's just the only way we could get this this launched. Uh, but it is it is legitimately really sick. Like
19:25if you're a serious better uh you have access to fantasy points data or you're you're messing up, you're screwing up.
19:32Um, and if you're like a serious fantasy player or you just love anal NFL analytics, like you are massively behind the eight-ball if you don't already have
19:41a sub or or know how to use this thing.
19:43>> Yeah. Another note too is like we're always updating it, making it better.
19:46Like we have >> tools, future tools planned that are mind-blowing already that are in development, things that we are working on, d new data we're collecting that's
19:56not even in there yet. That's going to blow your mind. So like think about like for example like reverse ass, you know
20:02what I mean? [laughter] >> Like there will be a day reverse ass in the data suite where we have cornerback ass. How much ass is a quarterback
20:09allowing?
20:10>> Yeah.
20:10>> You know, >> is he getting his ass beat? [laughter] >> These are questions we can answer. So >> man, the puns are unlimited. I I really
20:17do enjoy these. I know they're not for everyone, but >> yeah.
20:30What's up, guys? Scott Barrett here, flying solo. We've got a little update for you. We record Monday mornings to to work with Brett's
20:40schedule. Uh, and so obviously, uh, a lot of news tends to come out directly after that, which requires an update.
20:47So, uh, I'm recording solo right now, halfway through Monday Night Football.
20:52Listen, if you if you want us to record live, a lot of people requesting that.
20:56If you guys want us to uh record late at night, so you know, everything is super fresh, uh you need to do your part. You
21:05need to like, comment, subscribe, tell your friends. Uh the bigger this show is, the more re sources we have to throw
21:12at it. So, you know, we could do it all.
21:14This is a trial run. If you guys like the Brett and Scott show, we can double triple down in it, but you guys got to
21:20do your part. But I'm here, you know, trying to make the best of this situation. And so we got multiple key
21:27pieces of news. We got Devonte Adams out probably 10 weeks. We have Jakori Kroski Merritt added to IR. We have Terry
21:36Mcccluren carded off the field.
21:40There's a lot of there's a lot of stuff going on. So, uh, we'll go one by one.
21:45Terren Ferguson, uh, here's a nice little stat for you.
21:49You know, I know he's he's he's out, but he's coming back. A stat for you. His fantasy points per route run doubles
21:56without Devonte Adams on the field.
21:59Week one, you know, he didn't do much. I don't think that game counts.
22:05The Rams rolled off the plane, you know, right before the game started and they were incredibly sloppy. Week two, that was Ferguson's sort of breakout game.
22:16He had nine targets, a 29% target share, 60 yards in a score on a 67% route share. There was about 17.4 fantasy
22:26points, a 19.0 XFP. That's those those are great numbers. And then he gets hurt week three. And so week three through
22:33six, it's like the Higgby show. Higgby had a 70% route share, averaged just about seven targets per game, 59 yards per game, 12.6 fantasy points per game.
22:43like tight end seven numbers. And so anyway, I I just think Terrence Ferguson's the guy. I think they really like him. I think he has a ton of
22:51upside. I think more likely than not now without Adams, he is the team's number two receiver. And so being the number
22:58two receiver in a Shawn McVey offense is massive. This is an S tier. I don't want to hear, oh, you know, it could be this
23:06gross three-way tight end rotation. It absolutely could. It's not the most important thing. most important thing is he has a clear pathway of being the
23:16number two receiver in a Shawn McVey offense. That is a fantasy bonanza.
23:20Clear S tier. Um, you know, if you're if you're set at the tight end position, then whatever. It's a B tier. But if if
23:27you know, you're you're trotting out anyone below the Tyler Warren line, he's a he's an S tier to me. Um,
23:37but then there's also Canada Mumfield, right? And so weeks two and three without Adams, Mumfield had about a 67% route share in both games. Easily second
23:49most on the team, but he was behind two tight ends and raw targets. He kind of did nothing the first game and then the
23:56second game was sort of his breakout. He had eight targets, 93 yards, and a score. I have to put this guy A or B
24:03tier. Um, you know, more likely than not, he's dead roster space.
24:10But the most likely outcome isn't the most important outcome to consider. The most important one is the theoretical most impactful. And again, upside is
24:20massive. If you have a chance at being the number two receiver in a Shawn McVey offense, I think it's Terrence Ferguson,
24:28but still just the mere fact, you know, and you have this guy learning behind Devonte Adams, learning how to run routes from, you know, an all-time
24:38ascot. Um, yeah, I I think this is an A tier. you know, it's I think more likely than not, like I said, he's he's not going to be a
24:47contributor to your he's not going to make an impact to to whether or not you you make it to the championship, but uh
24:53still have to go a tier on a relatively gross waiver week.
24:59Rashad White, I'm recording this halfway through Monday Night Football and it's it's kind of hard to gleam what this rotation looks like right now. He
25:09only has one carry, but guess what? All the other running backs on the team only have one carry. Uh last week he did get
25:16100% of the work after JCM went down.
25:19Um he's competing for touches with Austin Eckler.
25:24Am I wrong or did Austin Eckler not retire last year to become a fantasy football podcaster? Did that did that not happen that he had the exact same
25:33profession as me a year ago?
25:36Um, this offense is dead, but starting running backs are a high scarcity asset.
25:46I think it's still probably a committee.
25:47You know, maybe maybe he goes nuclear in the second half of this game or something. I kind of doubt it. We did
25:52see in week four when White missed, it was still a four-way committee. You know, JCM didn't become the guy.
26:00I think I have to go B tier or A. Yeah, B tier probably, but um you know, it's just it's just the fact that starting
26:09running backs are such a high scarcity asset. We've seen Rashad White, who's not that talented, be just like an inefficient Bellcow who like put up fringe RB1
26:19numbers. Uh because he is a good pass catcher. He is he is going to get that role. And so, you know, Austin Eckler is
26:27washed. So, maybe maybe um A or Btier. I probably go Btier on that. Uh, but if you're RB needy, you
26:36can you can bump him up a spot.
26:39Antonio Williams, we had Terry McLaren carded off. The injury experts are saying unfortunately high probability that was a season ending patellar injury
26:50for him. Listen, I know we've done this already. Uh, week four, Dig uh McLaren was out. Week five, Diggs was out and
27:01Williams didn't do anything.
27:03This offense in the passing attack does not look good. It's all Jaden Daniels on the ground or nothing.
27:10But, you know, Brett loves him. And Brett is saying this is mini Aman Raw.
27:16And so, you got to go A or B tier. What tier do you slide him into? It depends on what he does in the second half. If
27:22he does anything, you can put him in a tier. Right now, he's done nothing. just like he did nothing in week five, week four. But,
27:31you know, I give Brett a lot of grief when he is, you know, across the screen in front of me, but he he really is
27:38amazing at at identifying. He's just like, "Oh, no, he's good at ball. He's" and then the guy wins leagues in the
27:44second half. So, you know, at a bare minimum, keep this guy on your waiverwire watch list. And then, uh, Tank Dell is the last one we got to talk
27:53about. Uh, I hope I hope Trey the Motion Man did not cut it. Uh, we had a big debate, Brett and I, over Jaylen Null. I
28:03was arguing against him. Brett was arguing for him. I even brought up Tank Dell and he's like, "You got to stop
28:07talking about Dank Tank Dell. This guy's retired." And look at this. He's back.
28:12He might play. He looks like he's going to play this week. And so, I hope we left that in so I look good and Brett
28:17looks bad, which I think is funny. Um, but I think more likely than not, you know, the the upside argument for him
28:24is, hey, we know if this guy's fully healthy, he's really good. And so that's something we can't say about Kannata Mfield. That's something we can't say
28:32about Rashad White or Antonio Williams.
28:34We know this guy fully healthy is awesome.
28:40Is he ever going to be fully healthy again? I don't think so. The injury experts very bearish. That was a probably career-ending injury. never
28:49going to be the same again. And then beyond that, it's also, you know, the kind of the the point I was trying to
28:54make against Jaylen Null is it's it's becoming a crowded wide receiver room for a coach who loves his wide receiver rotations. You have
29:03Nico Collins, the alpha, and now you just traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. And Jaylen Null is becoming a thing, and Tangell now, you know, might re-enter
29:15the fold, maybe. Um, so I I think I think Tangel Dt tier. Whatever.
29:19Whatever. Just keep an eye on him. Um, but this definitely bumps Jaylen Null down. I think I let Brett tier him out
29:28in the A tier. Now he has you have to knock him down a spot. But anyway, this was the the update for you guys. Hope
29:34you enjoyed this.
29:36Um, yeah, again, you know, tell your friends about Fantasy Football Daily with Brett and Scott. Appreciate you.
29:44>> All right, running backs. Scott, we're going to hit some running backs here.
29:47Kendry Miller >> owned in 34% of leagues, which means he's available in 66%. I'm very good at math on the fly. This is This is
29:55incredible. That's why I homeschool my kids. Um, where you at on Kendra Miller?
30:02>> Do you homeschool them on School of Scott? You should.
30:05>> You should make them all do a report on Matias Buinger >> after last week's lecture.
30:10>> So, I did tell my wife to show the kids because it was a great way.
30:14>> I did. Yeah.
30:16It was a great It was a great life lesson >> for real. Yeah. For those who don't know, >> go to Friday's episode starts at part
30:23two all the way to the end. I delivered a a 15-part history lesson on an 18th century magician who's near and dear to
30:31my heart.
30:33>> Uh number eight on your top 10 men of renown.
30:35>> That's right.
30:36>> And personal heroes.
30:37>> Do you know who number one is?
30:40>> You know who? No. You know who number three is?
30:42>> Me.
30:43>> It's you. Stop. You're too much.
30:46>> You're too much. All right. [laughter] >> Can we talk Kendra Miller? Where are we at with Kendra Miller?
30:53>> Uh yeah, let's let's do it. Uh so Kamara has this back injury of sorts. Uh and so Kendrick Miller stepped up. He had 20
31:02carries. Um but CJ Donaldson, is this guy a fullback, Brett, or is he a half?
31:09>> He's both, you know.
31:11>> Okay. He's one of those goal line back plus full. Yeah, Carson. Well, not not as much that like Carson Seal actually
31:18has some running back chops. I wouldn't say Donaldson does.
31:21>> Okay. Well, this this guy CJ Donaldson, whatever position he plays, he was still fairly involved kind of, you know, after
31:28Kamar's last play. Uh Kendry Miller had nine of 11 carries, three of three targets, 71% of the snaps. So, actually, you know what? It was it was pretty
31:36good. Uh, but that being said, Jeff Mueller thinks Alvin Kamar plays this week and then he thinks Travis Etienne comes back by week nine and you have
31:46Kendra Miller who ranks 53rd of 55 running backs in yards after contact per attempt. I I think Tom Broly had Kendry
31:53as the the top running back target and kind of the gross running back week. I would rather just like I think you could
31:59let someone else kind of pick him up because I I just don't see the upside with if Kamar plays this week and then
32:05and then Achan comes back week nine, right?
32:10>> Yeah. Yeah. I just checked, by the way.
32:12He's he's actually playing 50/50. 50% fullback, 50% halfback.
32:16>> Interesting.
32:17>> I'm guessing as the emergency kind of guy, right? But he he's big. He was at Ohio State last year. You should know
32:23this guy.
32:25>> He had like >> Well, yeah. You do all the college prospecting with me?
32:29>> Not on fullbacks. I'm not in any >> Well, played running back for them. He had like 2400 career rushing yards in
32:35college and 40 touchdowns.
32:36>> Damn.
32:37>> West Virginia and Ohio State.
32:38>> Look at that. That's like 5,000 more yards than Mike Washington had in five years.
32:44>> He's a big fatty though. So >> those are my favorite. Do you know what?
32:49>> Yeah, we know. You have a type. Brandon Jacobs. Come on down. I have a plotter fetish is what what Graham Barfield
32:56calls it.
32:57>> Yes, [laughter] >> it's so true. Who was were you a big like uh Jonathan Stewart guy back in the day?
33:03>> I love Yeah, like Jonathan Stewart a lot. Like Garrett Blunt, one of my all-time favorites.
33:08>> That's the thing is like not a plotter.
33:10Like he has like the third best weight adjusted three cone ever. And Brandon Jacobs was all the way up there. So
33:15>> I wouldn't call them true plotters.
33:17>> No. Like Garrett Blunt had some some crazy movement skills for his size for sure.
33:21>> Remind Uh, slightly poor man's raandre was my or poor poor man's blunt was my comp for raandre and then the Patriots
33:30drafted him and >> he like he beat out their draft capital for him too. So I I like that.
33:35>> Yeah.
33:36Okay. Where are we slotting Kendra Miller in here?
33:39>> Ctier. I don't know. Like I >> if he's someone you have to put a waiver claim on like he's >> D tier but if he's cheap
33:47>> if he's free.
33:48>> Yeah. Basically. Yeah. One to 2% is what Tom had. So yeah, that's >> okay. Cost to acquire weighing heavy on
33:54that one for sure.
33:55>> Yeah.
33:56>> Uh Roshan Johnson 5% owned had a big workload this week. We got a little more clarity I think on why the workload is
34:03big this week >> which was what >> they play on Thursday night. They play on Thursday night.
34:09>> Ah very smart Brett. Yeah. So if you Roshan had eight of 13 carries in the fourth quarter with five on the final
34:18drive of a one-score game even after the fumble and he was like isn't that weird?
34:23It's like oh yeah they they have the quick turnaround so that >> and it to be honest the game wasn't actually a one-sore game.
34:31>> You know what I mean? Like they were getting their teeth smashed in for most of that game.
34:35>> Yeah.
34:35>> And then made like a last I don't know that the Bears ever thought they were worried about it, you know?
34:40>> Yeah.
34:42Uh that said, >> because it's a quick turnaround.
34:46>> Because it's a quick turnaround. Yeah.
34:47>> Probably out.
34:48>> Yeah. Yeah. I I don't think >> And so you have the RB2. Fair enough.
34:53RB2, but it's the RB2 >> in the most valuable backfield in fantasy by total XFP.
35:00>> Correct.
35:02Flex.
35:02>> Patriots are a tough matchup. Tough matchup.
35:06>> They are. That is true.
35:08>> Match up. Yeah. But is he flex worthy?
35:11Because if he's not flex worthy, then don't even bother picking him up.
35:14>> Could you could you reasonably start him in your flex this week?
35:17>> I think he's a viable streamer. Again, like Fantasy Point subs, check projections on Friday. We had literally the most accurate projections in the
35:25industry.
35:26>> Uh people betting off of them are doing really well this year. Um >> they need to know now though. I get
35:32>> I know I know but projections get a lot better but I would guess >> I would guess um yeah low-end RB2 fringe
35:39RB2.
35:41>> Okay. So you're even you're even saying a little maybe a little better than a flex guy.
35:48>> I mean how many buys are there this week?
35:51>> Four, I believe.
35:52>> Four. [snorts] Yeah. Yeah. Somewhere. I mean it's kind of the same thing to me.
35:59lowend RB2 is is a what the heck flex.
36:01>> All right. So, what two two to three% comfortable with that? It's it's pretty much going to be a oneweek thing because
36:07we expect Manong guy back.
36:09>> Yeah, I think he's another one to two% but it's it's team dependent. It's like, hey, if you really need a spot start, if
36:14you have Beijel Tutin or James Cook who are on buy this week, then uh you can up it to three to 4% and I won't get mad at
36:21you.
36:24>> Cool. Let's go Ctier. Yeah. Ahead of ahead of Kendra, though, please.
36:30Dylan Samson. Uh, is he returning from IR? Why Why do we have him on here, Scott?
36:37>> Uh, well, he practiced before week six.
36:40Uh, Jeff Mueller said he had a chance to play week seven, so we really don't know, but we're putting him on here. Go
36:48ahead.
36:48>> I could have swore they put him on IR or No, he's coming off of IR. Okay, I got it.
36:54>> Yeah. So, yeah, >> there's a lot up in the air. Like maybe Judkins plays, maybe Samson sits out or maybe Judkins misses. Samson comes back.
37:03He's a Bellcow >> in his first game back up against the Titans, which are, you know, I think a fairly good matchup. Um, but it's, you
37:11know, me, I'm always more long-term than short-term oriented. And so it's like, is who is Dylan Samson, Brett? You tell me. is the film guy. We know he like was
37:21slated to be Todd Monkins like Justice Hill passcatching back, but like does is there a chance he could be the guy just
37:31because and I know we've seen him be the guy and not do anything for fantasy, but Judkins, we had that stat like 16
37:38straight games below 4.0 yards per carry. Could he actually like steal work, become a bellcow?
37:45I I just wanted to to me this is just like a super deep dart and he's probably Dtier but or F tier even but I I wanted
37:51to hear your filter.
37:52>> Well, I I highly doubt the Browns drafted him in the fourth round for him not to play. I don't think they ever
37:58envisioned Quinn Sean being like a a bellcow, right?
38:02>> No, I think they did.
38:03>> They drafted him in the same draft like >> No, they didn't.
38:06>> Yes, they did. Like 50 picks apart.
38:08>> Oh, maybe you're right. Yeah. Quinch on Judkins in in round two >> and early rounders boy >> early round four I believe like pick 105
38:18or something like that.
38:20>> Yeah.
38:22>> Yeah. I mean Sansson's like a a slasher type. Definitely more of a change of pace than like a bellcow build but like
38:28>> I feel like this is another like possible one start kind of guy with more potential long-term upside than the other two.
38:36>> How much potential is there? Because we know Quinn Sean Judkins the efficiency is just awful. Maybe Samson could be the
38:42juice.
38:42>> Well, and Todd Mockin doesn't have allegiance to either. So maybe he pivots off of Judkins, >> right?
38:47>> If it keeps going this way. So >> So So compare him to to Roshan and Miller.
38:53>> There's a Go ahead.
38:55>> Way way more upside than those guys.
38:57>> Really? Well, this shocked me. Let's put him Let's put him B tier, but again, it's it's team dependent. If you really
39:03need a spot start, I would prefer Roshan, but if you, you know, there's still a chance that you could, he he could be a better spot
39:12start and then there's more long-term upside. So, comes out to Btier. There's nuance. Whatever. YOLO.
39:17>> Tennessee is not a fun matchup, by the way. They're they're good against the run.
39:20>> Yeah, but they're getting blown out in just about every Well, I mean, be Colts who suck, but >> they just got a GM fired.
39:27>> Game script's going to be good. Yeah.
39:29>> Samaj perin 5% owned. Cincinnati was obviously on a buy this past week, right? Or no, did they play tonight?
39:38>> They were.
39:40>> Why are we >> They were on a buy.
39:42>> They were on a buy. Thank you.
39:44>> Voice from the Shadows Motion Man.
39:48>> Yeah, on a buy. Um, so we couldn't get any, you know, clarity or follow up on the Chase Brown Sama Pine splits. We've
39:56had a lot of people push back on us though for our Sam Pine take brown take.
40:03>> Okay.
40:04>> Are we Do you want to rehash the whole thing right now or do you do you have new information here? What's the thought
40:08process?
40:09>> Are you just going to pay people to to go back and listen to last week's episode? No one wants to do that.
40:15>> Can we cliffnotes it, Scott?
40:16>> Go ahead. Yeah, cliff note.
40:18>> Chase Brown hasn't been very good this year.
40:20>> Uhhuh.
40:21Sam Perine ate into his workload by about half last week.
40:26>> He out carried Chase Brown last week and you had >> Cincinnati beat writer uh Denner is his last name. Uh say this was all
40:35intentional. The Cincinnati they tried out the center thing. They're going back to the shotgun approach and guess what?
40:42You know the downhill shotgun approach fits P Ryan a lot better. Ryan Heath boy genius looked at the numbers said that's not really true. I don't think
40:52that's really true but still you know beat writers kind of saying that has team sources ideally and so you and I
40:58just kind of are like well is there a chance per can be the guy like this is you know Chase Brown has proven like the
41:06the role is really valuable. Could Perine get that because Chase Brown has been so inefficient?
41:14My head is spinning right now.
41:16>> Probably not. Probably not. I think it's more I think it's more P Ryan's impact is more of a a fear and concern for
41:24Chase Brown than it is actually like a good thing for your fantasy team. But I'm willing to be swayed in the opposite
41:29direction if you feel strongly.
41:31>> The beat writer really said they're going back to the shotgun stuff.
41:34>> Yeah.
41:35>> Well, then that 100% benefits Chase Brown.
41:38>> Well, yeah. That Well, that's why I said Ryan Heath was like, "This is strange.
41:42The data doesn't back this up.
41:44>> That was my whole thesis last week about Brown losing his touches were they've gone away from the Zack Taylor outside
41:50zone scheme. They went to the under center power counter duo. Brown's not good at that. But he what he has is like
41:58legit linear speed explosiveness. So the outside zone scheme works for him because he can threaten the corner and make one cut.
42:09And I don't know. That's I'm my head's spinning now. I'm very confused. Okay. I think that's good news for Chase Brown.
42:14So, >> yeah. Well, I just I just dropped the article in the chat here. You can read it later. But, uh, yeah, I would say I
42:21would say Dtier. It is possible, but I I think it's just more, >> you know, a potential negative for Chase Brown's
42:29existence than it is u him being a really >> impact player for fantasy.
42:34>> I I agree with that. He does. He does have contingent upside should Brown get hurt. But I also don't think Sami Perine
42:41is is any good. So, >> right. He's basically a fullback.
42:47>> CJ Donaldson, >> you know what I mean?
42:49>> Of the Bengals. Yeah.
42:51>> Mike Washington finally got involved in the Las Vegas Raiders game this week.
42:57He's owned in 30% of leagues. I feel like we've talked about him on all but one Waverwire episode.
43:02Ashen Genty >> having historically one of the most un inefficient starts to a career ever >> rivals Trent Richardson.
43:11>> Not only that, the where Genty was getting stuff done in fantasy was the pass game, but he's dropping passes now
43:18all over the place.
43:19>> Yeah, Lo lobby is getting more work in the passing game. Mike Washington's getting more work in the running game.
43:25Only had one fewer carry than than Genty. Maybe he's dealing with an ankle injury, but even if he is, you have Jeff
43:31Mueller saying, "This isn't something that's going to get better most likely without rest."
43:36>> And if it does, it's going to take a while.
43:38>> Well, you know what I hate? I hate anytime I have like an ankle injury and then all of a sudden my hands really
43:44hurt because of that.
43:48>> What are you trying to say here, Brett?
43:53>> Okay, he might be playing through an injury. Why is he dropping passes and blowing pass pro assignments?
43:57>> Right.
43:58>> That's has nothing to do with an ankle injury.
44:01>> So, >> right.
44:02>> Sorry.
44:04>> Dad humor.
44:05>> Yeah.
44:06>> Um, so yeah, but here's the thing is is Mike Washington I didn't really like as a prospect. You liked uh I saw him as an explosive
44:16change of play guy, which he to be fair is the case. He has three runs of 18 plus yards. He's throwing a flag flag on
44:24the play.
44:24>> I liked relative to the class.
44:27>> This class was absolute buns. I still had like a an early day three grade on him. You know, day three.
44:34>> Crazy crazy stat for you. He has three career runs of 18 plus yards. Ashen Genty has only five in his career on
44:42over 300 more carries.
44:45>> That's >> Yeah. And so it's like this guy needs carries and Genty needs less than them still. Well, I I don't see a ton of
44:53upside. I I think he's always going to be RB2 by XFP and now it's, you know, in zero passing down work where maybe it's
45:02it's even a three-way committee and and Genty still gets the bulk of it.
45:06>> So, I to me this is just like a run-of-the-mill handcuff. I know you're seeing people argue otherwise, but I I'd
45:13put him Dtier.
45:15>> Yeah. The only real contingent upside is if is if gets hurt.
45:20>> Yeah. or P R has the same upside if Chase Brown gets hurt.
45:24>> Well, yeah, but Genti is already hurt, so it's like >> Yeah. Yeah. There's more of a likelihood he he gets more hurt.
45:31>> Yeah. And what if they're also just like, "Man, this isn't going to heal.
45:34Let's throw him on IR for four."
45:35>> Exactly. Exactly.
45:36>> So, >> all right. All right. D or T C tier.
45:40>> Let's go Dtier and and let's kick Mayfield to the end of the line there.
45:45>> Okay.
45:45>> Boom. I like that. Jonah Coleman, we're another one we've talked about several times.
45:53Denver's offense is so anemic. I have a hard time discussing anyone on this offense right now, but Jonah Coleman owned in 29% of leagues. He gets
46:02Arizona, Kansas City, and Carolina. So, good matchups in two of the next three weeks. But RJ Harvey has been a thing in the like
46:11he's their primary pass catcher. Scott, >> he's their wide receiver one.
46:15>> He's their wide receiver one.
46:17And then JK Dobbins is like back to taking all the the rundown work.
46:25>> Yeah. Well, listen, he's eligible to come off of IR. It's it's possible he sits out another week, but he's eligible
46:30to come off of IR. Tyler Batty's out. Um he had that nice game right before the IR stint where he was super productive
46:41and looked like the best running back on the team despite everything he did in that game coming after he suffered a
46:48high ankle sprain on the first play of the game um or his first touch of the game. And so like I think the the thesis
46:55holds which is like I like his second half upside. I think there's a chance just based on the talent like my
47:02analytics model really liked him coming out he could be a bellcow.
47:07Um that said I think it's kind of unlikely because Payton loves Dobbins, loves Harvey and it's what like just a totally dead offense at this point,
47:16right?
47:18>> Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Sorry you asked me a question while I was taking a drink of water.
47:25>> Another D tier.
47:27Uh, maybe. Yeah, D's fine. D's fine.
47:33Keep Mayfield in the caboose, please.
47:36>> You Let's just move Mayfield to F. We're We're We're getting the D tier kind of crowded anyway.
47:40>> I love it. Tyrone Tracy. Oh no. Naja Harris. Oh no. Devin Singleary. Oh no.
47:484% own for Tracy, 16 for Harris, and 1% for Singleary.
47:54Gross. Gross. Gross. They're playing four running backs. And when John Harbaugh was pressed on it, he basically made it sound like this is
48:02going to be a hot hand situation with four guys and none of them are special and none of them have earned more
48:07playing time is basically what he said.
48:10>> Yeah. Yeah. By the way, Motion Man had a great take where on yesterday's show I I was kind of talking about the Scataboo
48:17thing and how weird it was and Motion Man was just shouting at the screen. He was just like, "What? This is the most
48:23obvious thing ever." Like Cam Scataboo is the most immature player in the league and it's it's Harbaugh. It's John Harbaugh. Like how how do you think that
48:32was going to work out? So yeah, Harbaugh hates Scataboo and he's begging for anyone to step up and like that's basically what he said is like is like
48:40we need someone to step up and it's not Scataboo who I hate. So it needs to be one of these other guys. The problem is
48:46they all stank. They're all awful and and significantly less talented than Cam Scataboo. Uh, and you know, should logic and reason rather than emotion prevail,
48:56Scataboo should just go back right back to being the RB1. Uh, but if you're in a deep league, I think it's worth, you
49:02know, throwing darts at these guys. Um, and so it's just like if you have the roster space to burn, you could kind
49:11of just throw a dart. Um, who do you like the most here? I feel like Tracy has the most Bellcow potential, but Naji
49:18>> doesn't fit the scheme at all though, >> right? And Naji is is clearly the early the best early down guy
49:25>> who just disappears in negative scripts.
49:30>> You want to say they're all F tier for convenience?
49:32>> Yeah, I I'm not I don't want to. This shouldn't have made it past me in the show sheet. I should have just struck
49:37these guys from the record.
49:39>> Okay.
49:40>> I still probably want Scataboo the most to be honest with you.
49:43>> Yeah.
49:45>> Yeah.
49:45>> Do you think there's any waiverss, Brett? So >> Oh, true. We save that for the buy low, sell high episode. How about that?
49:53>> Well, I ain't call him a buy low either, but >> yeah, that's true. That's true. He's not a buy low.
50:00>> Let's move to wide receivers. By the way, as you can see, there's no S or A tier people so far. So, that's that's
50:05great for those of you.
50:06>> Oh, it's coming.
50:07>> Yeah, it is potentially >> uh wide receivers in a much better spot this week than it was. So, Omar Cooper
50:13Jr.
50:144% owned. Let's just hit him and AD Mitchell together.
50:19Um, Adid Mitchell is supposed to come back soon. He did have a second procedure on the hand last week, so maybe that delays his comeback. It's
50:26They said it was very minor, but Cooper Jr. made his his true debut this week.
50:31Was the second leading route runner, you know, behind Garrett Wilson for them.
50:36Had over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown. Looked pretty good doing it as well.
50:41Scott, I mean, are you warming up to the idea of Omar Cooper? Are you still kind of out because I know you didn't like
50:47him? You you you hold these grudges against players forever.
50:51>> I do. I do. I I I need to I I need to be to see a lot to like really be pushed
50:58off of my priors.
51:00Um and so this is like the cover boy of every waiverwire column this week.
51:06Everyone's all excited about Omar Cooper Jr.
51:10Um and listen, his first full game, he had a team high seven targets. He had over a 100red yards and a touchdown, 85%
51:18route share. He currently leads the league in yards per route run. Th this is a player Brett Whitefield, you know, maybe the best prospect evaluator, film
51:28expert in the game. Brett Whitefield comped him to DJ Moore as a potential rack yak demon.
51:36>> He's one of only two rookie wide receivers with a 100 yard game this year.
51:42I'm a little pessimistic. I I didn't to be fair, he looked awesome. He bowled out. It was one of the best fantasy
51:48points over expectation games by a wide receiver all year. Um, but I I'm an AD Mitchell guy. I I like
51:57the Ascot and I I know Adani Mitchell's coming back. Omar Cooper had a big game, but it was a great matchup. Garrett
52:04Wilson getting absolutely blanked by Christian Gonzalez, which has always been the case. I don't know if you saw the postgame press conference. It was it
52:12was hilarious. Garrett Wilson was just basically like, "Yeah, you know, Christian Gonzalez like historically is my father. I I call him daddy, but he,
52:21>> you know, I'm a competitor." And so I just I look forward to the next time I get to compete against him and hopefully
52:26perform a little bit better, which is, you know, the ideal mindset.
52:30>> Um, >> is it weird that I both loved what Garrett Wilson said and hated it at the same time?
52:34>> I felt the exact same way.
52:36>> Man, this is such a cool dude. I love the mentality of like, hey, I I respect this guy's game, >> but it it almost felt a little defeated
52:43to me at the same time.
52:44>> Yeah, it felt very defeist. I felt the same way.
52:46>> So, I was like, man, I love it, but I also like I just want a little bit more for you, Garrett. Just a little bit
52:51more.
52:51>> Yeah, I'm a big cornerbacks over wide receiver guy. Like, I hate the >> in terms of value.
52:57>> No, no. I hate like the wide receiver personality or selfish diva. And I just love, dude, like the hardest position to
53:04play in football is quarterback. And so I love I love cornerbacks with swagger.
53:09>> Cornerback or tight end. But yeah, >> shadow quarterbacks. Yeah, fair enough.
53:12>> Quarterback though is you have to have like a short-term memory >> because no matter how good you are, you're getting beat several times a
53:18game.
53:19>> Yeah. And and quarterback, too. That's why Eli was awesome. Like he would just >> throw a pick and like for literally
53:24forget about it. Like he just like it's like you threw a pick on the last play.
53:28Did I? Interesting.
53:32Uh, so where where we slotting Mr.
53:34Cooper and Mr. Mitchell?
53:36>> Yeah, it's it's very cost dependent. I I honestly think he's a one to two% guy, but I'm not going to
53:44get mad at anyone who thinks he's a 3 to 5% guy. Ryan Heath is like, give me Omar Cooper because like Adani Mitchell has
53:52really never shown us anything really.
53:54And this is a round one pick where the team is invested in their success. And Scott, I know you your your model has
54:01been great over the years, but like if there's anyone you missed on, it's like, you know, Matthew Golden, who is a round
54:08one pick, right? Who looks awesome this year. And so, you know, I'm sympathetic to that. But again, everything's relative to cost. So, it's like, why am
54:16I going to blow my fab or my waiver claim on Omar Cooper when, >> you know, the most likely thing is,
54:22okay, maybe Omar is a guy, but Garrett Wilson's still the alpha. and then Adonai and Omar Cooper splitting the wide receiver two role.
54:30>> Are we getting to a point with the Jets where they just have two?
54:33>> It's also by the way uh he's the slot and so this is an offense that I think game byame is like okay it's an 11
54:41personnel week and then it's a 12 personnel week because you also spent a first round pick on Kenyan Sadi and you
54:47love Mason Taylor. I I just don't see a lot of value. The role is is was good last week in a Christian Gonzalez
54:53shadow. I don't think it's gonna be good this week. Tough match up against the Dolphins and then as soon as AD Mitchell
54:58comes back.
54:59>> You literally cut me off to steal my thunder. I love when that happened.
55:02That's what I was in the process of asking you. Is it is it possible we're just at a point where there's just too
55:06much going on for the Jets. Like they have Garrett Wilson. He's a fixture.
55:11That doesn't change week to week.
55:13>> But then you've got a four tight end rotation. You've got a promising young rookie in Omar Cooper, a promising young
55:19rookie in Kenyan Sadi. You got Ad Mitchell coming back to the fold. You got Bree Hall, who also is a nice target
55:24as a backfield guy coming back soon.
55:26It's like, can Gino Smith and this this Jets offense really sustain all these dudes? Probably not.
55:31>> No. No. It's It's too many slices of pie with a small pie. So, >> right.
55:38Yep. Too many slices of pie with small pie. I like it. So, >> tier. Ctier. What do we >> Let's go B for Cooper just because the
55:45the upside is is >> 80 Mitchell. Then >> C.
55:50I mean, just just just put an F tier because like I mean, >> okay, >> now you have Omar Cooper breaking out
55:56and he might not even play this week.
55:58>> Sure.
56:00Demario Douglas 8% owned, 92% available.
56:04He's got Chicago, Miami, and Green Bay coming up. Drake May is back to being um a top three quarterback in the league
56:11probably.
56:12>> And look how fast that might be a strength of schedule merchant, but he's like a damn good one.
56:20Yeah, that's a great >> like that's that's something you could bank on, you know, where it's like if you have Drake May, you maybe stream a
56:27quarterback when >> you know who else is a lot like that is Jordan Love.
56:31>> Jordan Love will curb stomp bad teams like >> Williams has been like that.
56:36>> Yeah, but then against like tougher opponents, they just completely fold.
56:40>> Um, >> yeah, that's a good point. Well, anyways, regardless of that, uh he's he's balling right now and Demarro Douglas is a as a pass catcher for him,
56:49but he's still >> Did you say Romeo Dobs suffered a shoulder injury? Uh Mueller thinks he's out a couple weeks. Last two games, 13
56:57targets, 11 catches, 151 yards, three touchdowns. AJ Brown looked hella rusty.
57:04Drake Mao Dong likes to spread the ball around.
57:11I still think he's a Dtier. I don't know.
57:14>> Yeah, probably Dtier.
57:15>> Okay.
57:16>> I think you'll see like Kyle Williams get a chance now, too, with with Romeo Dobs, you know, just keep pushing Mayfield down. I like
57:25that. Good job, Motion, man.
57:27>> Put him in the Mayfield tier. How about that? Something below F. Brett Hson.
57:31>> Jordan Tyson 48% owned. He's got Pit.
57:34He's got his buy. He's got Cleveland.
57:36>> He's traveling to Paris. for it.
57:39>> I saw that he that that implies they're trying to play him, right?
57:44>> I mean, it at least means his his practice window could open soon. Um I I'm really bullish here. So, like, let
57:52me make the case for him because I know you you maybe don't entirely agree. Um Jeff Mueller is kind of pessimistic on
57:58this this hamstring. It's a high concern injury. He thinks the Saints probably hold him out to week nine. I think even
58:05if that's the case, I just really like this second half upside for a prospect I saw a lot of upside and potential for.
58:12You had Nick Underh Hill, Saints beat writer, saying he was the best player in Saints uh training camp this year. We
58:20know, we have proof of concept that the role is good and valuable. Devon Vy, who isn't any good, ranks 22nd in targets,
58:28but 73rd in yards per route run. So, like he could easily become the wide receiver, too, and step into that very
58:35valuable role. I It depends on how how desperate you are, how needy you are for guaranteed points.
58:44If that's the case, he's I don't know, C or B tier. But if you can if you can keep him on your bench for another
58:51couple weeks and just wait and see and you you just want you're kind of stacked. You just want someone who could
58:57crack your lineup if he's good. I like him as an A tier. But I I'll let you be the voice of reason potentially.
59:04>> Tyler Shuck has 32 completions and 230 yards passing in the last two weeks combined.
59:10>> Yeah. But he's also top three in drop backs on the season.
59:17>> Yeah. And that's trending the wrong direction, by the way.
59:20>> Yeah, I nailed it. Top three.
59:21>> 25 pass attempts in week five. 30 this past week.
59:26>> So, >> okay. But it could just be a little blip. Um, >> well, that's like
59:35I mean, three of the six games he's he's been below average in dropbacks. Three of the six he's been above average. It's
59:43like we can't fully buy into one if we're not willing to consider the other.
59:48>> Well, over his last 12 games, it's it's 41 dropbacks per game.
59:52>> Okay.
59:54>> It's I think it's a Kell Moore thing.
59:55Kell Moore's offense leads the league in pace of play. Every single year he's been an OC or play caller. So, >> are they still the last two weeks it's
60:03been ugly?
60:04>> It's two two weeks versus a six-year sample.
60:07Who are you? Warren Sharp.
60:12>> Just kidding. I like Warren Sharp.
60:13>> Didn't you Did we just have a Warren Sharp tweet on the screen?
60:17>> No, I I posted in the private chat.
60:20>> Okay.
60:20>> The article and he had a tweet linking to the So, it was just I found that before I found the actual article.
60:25>> Gotcha.
60:26I I don't know. I I'm still out on Jordan Tyson.
60:31>> Okay. So, so let's meet in the middle here.
60:35>> B tier.
60:36>> Scott, he he's missed how many how many rookie seasons?
60:40Actually, how many seasons in general?
60:42Just hold on. Listen. Say, man, he missed the last six months of football, but he had a great season. This is I'm
60:48stealing this from Sigman Bloom. This is his thing.
60:50>> Jamar Chase.
60:52>> No, he he sat out a COVID season. That's not the same thing. He was not injured. He was not defunct. Jordan Tyson has missed
61:02six months of football because of injury, basically, minus two weeks of training camp where he was healthy.
61:07>> Yeah. Yeah.
61:10Find find me the example. This guy missed six months of football and then had an amazing season afterwards.
61:15>> Listen, this is a trust me, bro.
61:17Weighing the the upside versus risk.
61:19There's way more upside in a game that's ruled by the law of upside.
61:24>> Lois, I'll let you go as Btier. And it's just like if I have to veto any further counter arguments, just I'll I'll give
61:31you one. I'll give you >> Devon Bailey looks good. Chris Ave is a stud. And Dwan Johnson's been awesome.
61:36And you think this guy who hasn't played football in six months >> has not looked good by the data.
61:42>> What do you mean?
61:43>> Jawan Johnson is nothing special and never has.
61:45>> What data says Bailey hasn't looked good?
61:47>> I just said he's 22nd in target, 73rd in yards per route run.
61:52>> Those are production stats. I'm talking about actual performance on >> yards per route runs a performance and efficiency stat. Maybe he's looked good
61:58and the connection isn't there. Maybe it's good for Jordan Tyson. He's got 230 passing yards in the last two weeks. He
62:03looks like the best player at Saints training camp.
62:07Yeah, there's no hyperbole there.
62:08>> For a player who has drafted what? Top 10. Ryan Heath. Love the analytics profile.
62:14>> Okay.
62:14>> You think you know more than Ryan Heath, Brett, >> about something?
62:18>> Think they call him the golden boy? You think you think you're actually the golden boy? Guess what? You're the bronze boy.
62:28All right. Can we get to the S tier finally?
62:30>> Trey Tucker.
62:32>> No, let's talk Trey Tucker. But I would not >> 45% owned. He's got the Rams, the Jets.
62:39>> Owned.
62:40>> You must have read uh shout out shout out again Ryan Heath. I I Ryan Heath really is the gold standard. But uh he
62:46in the advanced matchups was like Trey Tucker is going to go nuclear. Uh he had 97 yards, two touchdowns. What we we we
62:53made advanced matchups free last week and some random guy read it and built built a DFS lineup around it and won
63:00$30,000. So shout out to Ryan. Shout out to that guy. Um, I'm skeptical. I'm SK.
63:06I mean, this Raiders offense is rolling.
63:08He has seven plus targets in half his games. They desperately need a wide receiver one to step up. Does he have
63:16the talent?
63:17And that's a Brett Whitefield question.
63:19>> Does Trey Tucker have the talent?
63:21>> Yeah.
63:21>> I mean, he's good. He's just tiny.
63:23>> He's 5 foot8 with what, 438 wheels?
63:27Something like that.
63:29>> Uh, I think he's a 42 guy.
63:32>> Yeah. Okay. Yeah. 42 guy. Insanely fat.
63:35But like that's who he is to me. He's just like a deep threat where if he has the right schematic matchup that Ryan
63:41Heath identifies prehindsight, he can go off. But it's like once a month,
63:50>> bro. He's like the the wide receiver 17 right now.
63:55>> He only has two good games.
63:57>> Okay. He's the wide receiver 17 right now.
64:01That's crazy.
64:03>> Well, that's Yeah, that just shows you people just adding people off of you know who scored the most fantasy points
64:08to date.
64:11Yeah, I I've been saying he's he's Kurt Cousins new Darnell Mooney. And I you know, when I first posited that, Ryan
64:18Heath was like, "Eesh, that that makes him sound really shitty." And I'm like, "No, that makes him sound good." Because what was it 20 24
64:24where his Mooney's yards per route run with Kirk Cousins was like almost tied, which is like so stupid because Drake London's so much better than Darnell
64:35Mooney.
64:36>> Yeah. Mine mine was Jame Crowder.
64:39>> Okay. Okay.
64:40>> But >> but it's like Yeah. And look at what Kirk Cousins is doing.
64:44>> He had he what? Top three in touchdowns on the year.
64:48>> Yeah.
64:48>> Or he's leading the league in touchdowns. And >> he's had a buy.
64:52>> He's top five in passing yards. [snorts] >> Golf had a buy and pretty plays tonight.
64:57That's why he's leading the league in touchdowns. But >> we we could dwell on Cousins for I mean uh G for a second. He's a great MVP bet
65:04last I checked.
65:05>> I said that on the show last week.
65:07>> Okay. Yeah. He's having a historical start to the season and he's like he was like plus 1,200 last week to an MVP.
65:13>> Yeah, >> it's crazy.
65:14>> Well, I he was my MVP bet what a year ago, two years ago where like I the yards are there, the perfor the
65:22efficiency is there. It's just Detroit was always the least greedy or he was always the least greedy quarterback inside the red zone. And it's just like
65:30if he's just league average and like pads his stats more with touchdowns, he could easily Yeah. 40 to1 odds I'm currently seeing. So, uh,
65:37>> he's the most passive touchdowns in the league in the last three years.
65:42>> Yeah. But never like truly dominant in one season, >> right? Just consistent.
65:46>> Despite despite, by the way, like a bottom five pro inside the red zone. So, imagine if it was league average,
65:51>> dude's like 5,000 passing yards and 30 touchdowns every year.
65:54>> Yeah. Wh Why is this another Lions fandom episode? I thought this was a way you brought it up, not doing [laughter]
66:01>> Trey Tucker. Uh, I I like >> I I would have said I would have said like Dtier, honestly. What?
66:07>> I know >> he's the wide receiver 17 through six weeks.
66:11>> Ctier is the highest I could go. I just don't trust the talent. I don't I don't trust him as someone you could feel
66:17confident starting.
66:18>> Top of Ctier.
66:20>> You want to go B tier? If you really feel strongly about it, >> Top of Ctier is fine.
66:25>> Okay.
66:27>> Jim Niggy came on my podcast a couple years ago, told me Trey Tucker could play.
66:32>> Yeah. And so I doubted him every step of the way and now he's wide receiver 17.
66:36It's crazy.
66:38>> You know what's crazy is Cincinnati Bearcats had Trey Tucker and Alec Pierce on the same team.
66:44>> Yeah. They had the They also had what I said was the least accurate quarterback I've ever seen play football at an FBS
66:50level and then he started games in the NFL.
66:53>> Desmond Midter.
66:54>> Not for long.
66:55>> Yeah.
66:56>> Uh Jaylen Null. Can we talk about my guy?
67:01Baby Alman Ra 1.0.
67:02>> Talk about your guy.
67:04>> Antonio Williams is Baby Almanra 2.0.
67:06Jaylen Null is Baby Almanra 1.0.
67:10>> He's awesome.
67:10>> Ra, >> 7% owned New York Giants bye-week Chargers coming up. He is uh I said this on the show last night. He's got at
67:19least a 30 yard reception of four of six games this season.
67:24>> Yeah, >> he's so good, man. And he's Marvroof.
67:27He's Marv proof, >> is he?
67:30>> Yeah. What do you mean? I swear to God, if you give me a prospect take right now, I'm going to lose it. It's like
67:36three years ago, brother. Give it up.
67:37>> I've got a I've got a a take that you're going to clown on me even more for. So, just you wait. Just you wait. Let me let
67:43me gas him up a little bit. Jaylen Null clearly trending up in terms of production. He had 11.9 fantasy points.
67:50Then he had 15.2 fantasy points. Then he had 23.7 fantasy points last week. We had it on the show yesterday. Ryan Heath
67:58was like, Jaylen Null easily leads the league in yards per target. And my stat was, yeah, he came into the week ranking
68:06uh top three and then he had 10 targets.
68:08He caught all of them. He had like 130 yards, whatever it was. And so, yeah, he only had a 60% route last week. But if
68:16this guy is so good and so efficient, why wouldn't he get more targets?
68:21>> Yeah, I think you'll see it.
68:22>> Well, the devil's advocate argument is twofold. It's one, they really don't like this guy. And you know, I from my
68:29Texan sources, >> what >> my Texan sources have been telling me every step of the way, they do not like this guy. And I say, why? And they say
68:37they don't think he runs routes the right way. I don't [laughter] I don't know what that means.
68:42>> But it's clearly the case that they don't like this guy.
68:46>> Go ahead. Say it.
68:47>> No, you go ahead. You go ahead.
68:48>> Go ahead and say this is the same source who talked you into David Montgomery, which is true. which is true. Um, but
68:56like I do think that's true because like if this guy is so good, why has it taken him so long to get on the field where
69:01like they're playing Xavier Hutchinson over him? Xavier Hutchinson sucks. Uh, and he only had a 60% route share when MHJ, the guy they just traded for, was
69:10down at 26%. I think that's going to come up. And it's also a Nico Collins alpha wide receiver one offense. So, I I
69:19would have I would have said C or D tier, but I know this is your boy, so I'll let you uh I'll let you
69:24>> I don't believe for a second they don't like him.
69:27>> What does that even mean? He doesn't run routes the right way.
69:31>> I'm guessing they're for one, I don't think it's a real a real thing. But >> maybe I'm being fed bad sources. Maybe
69:37this is like >> maybe on purpose, >> like a Chinese double agent or something.
69:41>> Maybe on purpose. Um, >> this is like a CCCP spy >> to infiltrate fantasy points.
69:50>> Yeah.
69:50>> Destroy the Exodia reputation.
69:52>> Oo.
69:53>> Which was otherwise immaculate. Well, maybe not immaculate, but but pretty good. Really good.
69:58>> The thing with null is he was like the 79th overall pick.
70:02>> We have a we have a null. Mole was awful.
70:07>> I don't think there shouldn't be an expectation that a third round pick plays right away. He always is gonna have to earn that opportunity and he's
70:14starting to and I think you'll see him play more and >> more. He couldn't earn it after like a confluence of factors setting him up
70:22perfectly to just spike the ball. It's like >> what do you mean went down season ending injury tank Dell >> and now he's balling out.
70:31>> Tank Dell's not even part of the math.
70:33Don't stop bringing him up on this show.
70:35Tank's not even part of the math. Dude doesn't >> He's S tier. He's the next guy we're talking about.
70:38>> No, he's not. We're not talking about >> I'm messing with you. messing. But it's like it's like dude he traded for Kahan
70:44Bouty. He played over Jaylen Null.
70:46Xavier Hutchinson stinks. He played over him. Jared Wayne was playing over him.
70:51Marvin Harrison Jr. to play over him.
70:55>> Scott, do you know how football works?
70:57There's like a pecking order. Xavier Hutchinson's been there for like four or five years. Clone to the bone, by the way. They like those clone wide
71:05receivers.
71:06He also means he also plays a different position than Jaylen Null.
71:12>> So you don't know what clone to the bone means?
71:14>> No, I don't.
71:15>> Xavier Hutchinson was a sixround pick who's only ever sucked. Jaylen Null was a round three pick who couldn't sniff the field despite five people. You're
71:23being so obuse and then he traded wide receivers to play over him.
71:28>> He's in his second year. Of course you would. A player with Xavier Hudson's experience level in >> a sixth round pick.
71:37>> Scott, I beg you. Pukaku is a fifth round pick. Oh my god. Should he not play?
71:42>> No, he's really good. That's the point.
71:44Hutchinson stinks.
71:45>> Oh my god.
71:47Hutchinson's been there longer. He knows the playbook. He also plays a different freaking position.
71:54>> My god.
71:55>> All right. Well, this is one that Brett feels strongly about. I want to say one more thing.
72:00>> Yeah.
72:00>> If there if there is any truth to they don't like him thing, I can tell you exactly why that is. Because Jaylen Null
72:06is an alpha dog >> and CJ Shroud does not like people that are going to push back on his massive inflated ego.
72:15>> Whoa. [laughter] >> It's sources. What? What is this?
72:20>> I mean, somewhat sources and observation.
72:23>> Okay. It's both, but I mean the the shuffling of the O line, the shuffling of the offensive coordinator, go back to his Ohio State days and and
72:32watch his demeanor with some of his coaches on the field. He is not someone who takes coaching or feedback well.
72:40>> Okay.
72:40>> Okay. Jaylen Null is an alpha dog.
72:43>> Yeah.
72:43>> He is a very confident individual. Jaden Higgins is not really like that. Jayen Higgins more of a passive personality, more of a yesman, a go with the flow
72:52kind of guy. Nico Collins. Same kind of thing. Just saying. There's a pattern here with CJ Stroud.
72:59>> Okay. This is one you feel really strongly about and one I >> He's freaking awesome.
73:04>> And he's starting to play.
73:06>> Um I would say probably our first A tier.
73:09>> Okay. Okay.
73:11>> Pick him up.
73:12>> Yeah. Sound off in in the comments who you think wins the debate. Is it Brent, team Brent, or team Chosen? Uh there's,
73:20you know, maybe it seems this way, but really there's no ego here. We're really just trying to deliver the best product
73:24and get you the the information you need to know and just uh you know the the sum of our parts being greater than the
73:30whole and uh reaching a resolution and and all that. So >> all right Jeremy Bernard 50% owned >> only 50% after how much we gassed him up
73:41last week.
73:42>> Yeah, I don't know personally.
73:44>> And didn't Roman actually go on the IR now too?
73:47>> Yeah, he didn't play last week.
73:48>> I know >> he's not coming back. Michael Pitman out until week nine. Roman Wilson out until week 10.
73:54>> Yeah, there you go. I think what I'm saying is when we did the show, he was not yet >> actually week 11 and then week 12.
74:00>> Okay, great, >> bro. And three games without Michael Pitman, he averages 9.7 targets at 26% target share and 15.9 fantasy points per
74:09game. He's balling out. It's the Mike McCarthy slot roll. Aaron Rodgers >> loves him.
74:15>> Notorious hater of rookies loves him.
74:19>> Yeah. best friends. They're they're having slumber parties watching conspiracy theory documentaries every single night talking about the lizard people who run Washington. And uh yeah,
74:30this is their this is his boy. And so I love this. I don't S tier easy for me.
74:36Easy easy S tier. Fab 10 to 15%.
74:44>> Yeah, I agree. This has This has like um legit full season upside here.
74:50>> Why did you save this for the end? I feel like >> I don't I didn't make the show sheet. I
74:55would have done this guy first.
74:57>> Yeah.
74:58>> Yeah.
75:00>> Hopefully it helps our watch time.
75:02People [laughter] just anxiously waiting having to hear like uh nuanced discussions about Trey Tucker who stinks. But [snorts] >> all right, tight ends. Let's get it
75:13let's get this uh Jet off the ground and back down quickly here. TJ Hawinson 31% owned. He's got the Colts, the Lions,
75:22and the Bills coming up. Those are three absolute buns defenses for what it's worth. Um Detroit specifically against tight ends as well. Buffalo against
75:30tight ends, too. Yeah, this is great.
75:32Great matchup for Hawinson for the next three weeks. He's available pretty much everywhere. 69%.
75:38>> You know why?
75:40>> Cuz he stinks. No, [laughter] >> because he's hurt.
75:43>> No, sir. It's because he missed his last game with a concussion.
75:46>> Yeah.
75:47>> And then he had a by-week, so he wasn't playing for two weeks. So, everyone who had him dropped. It's not because he
75:52stinks. In fact, he's a he's playing great.
75:55>> Yeah.
75:55>> This is a guy who I thought was dead. I was rip >> TJ Hawinson. It's over. He's washed.
76:01>> No, sir. You think he looks great on the film?
76:04>> I wouldn't say great. He looks good.
76:05Looks better than he did last year for sure. Among all 44 tight ends with at least 60 routes, he ranks fifth in yards
76:11per route run. He ranks third in targets per route run. To be fair, he benefited from some injuries to the wide receivers
76:16and he Kyler Murray I don't really trust to support multiple pass catchers. Uh but he gets a top 10 matchup this week.
76:24Shouldn't be on waiverss.
76:26It's if you need a tight end S tier. If if you're just a if you're most teams, he's probably a tier. Yeah.
76:36Uh yeah, I agree full fully.
76:43We got one more. You ready?
76:44>> Yeah.
76:45>> Michael Mayer, the wide receiver too in Las Vegas is in fact Michael Mayer, not Trey Tucker.
76:54>> Who who scores more fantasy points over the next four weeks, Trey Tucker or Michael Mayer?
76:59>> Oh god. Over the next four weeks?
77:02>> Yeah. If if you even have to think about it, then then I was right in placing Trey Tucker where I did. But I I think
77:06Tucker outscores him.
77:08>> I think Tucker outscores him, too.
77:09>> Yeah. So, listen. Um he just likes it just doesn't like I know it's been good the last three weeks, but it just doesn't feel
77:18bankable.
77:19>> Well, two of the last three weeks, >> huh?
77:21>> It's been good in two of the last three weeks. New England >> 10 targets 82 yards, one target, two yards. Nine targets 95 yards. And so it
77:29just kind of feels unpredictable.
77:32It I don't know that there's a ton of contingent upside, which is part of the reason why I liked him, which was, hey,
77:37if Bowowers goes down, he's going to get peppered. But that wasn't the case weeks one and two. So to me, this is a I don't
77:45know, F or D tier.
77:48>> Yeah. When they run into teams that play that are going to try to take Bowers out with man coverage, Mayor's gonna have a
77:54big day.
77:55>> That's exactly what you saw yesterday.
77:56That's what you saw against Kansas City.
77:58Buff. I've never seen Buffalo play as much man coverage as they played yesterday.
78:02>> So maybe the answer is Reed Ryan Heath schematic matchups and roster him and then but only start him in those
78:10manheavy spots.
78:12>> Correct.
78:13>> Okay. Ctier. If you need a tight end, Ctier, otherwise Dtier.
78:17>> Yeah, >> but we ran out of space in Dtier, so we'll just throw him in C's.
78:22>> We good?
78:23>> We're good.
78:24>> That's week seven waiver wire.
78:27We'll be back. What are we doing tomorrow?
78:30>> What do you want to do?
78:31>> Buy low, sell high again. Go back to that. I like that.
78:35>> Uh, you want to do a Q&A?
78:38>> Well, we got to talk to Motion, man. We talked about adding a live show this week. Would you rather do that?
78:44>> Uh, yeah. Yeah. All right. We'll do we'll do buy low, sell high, and then if you guys have any ideas for us for the
78:49following week, sound off in comments.
78:52>> Okay. Awesome, guys. Thank you so much for [music] listening. That's going to do it for us today. We will be back
78:58tomorrow as we are every day helping you win things and leaks. We are out.
79:11>> [music]
