0:00I want to be very clear here. There will
0:02be traps on the waiver wire this week
0:03that you need to avoid, but you can't
0:05ignore waiverss entirely. I myself am
0:08going through and placing a couple
0:10claims in my league that I'll talk about
0:12in this video. Now, starting off with
0:14the top pickup for a lot of people in a
0:16lot of leagues this week. We are going
0:18to have Jaylen Coker. Now, I do want to
0:20discuss the injury stuff with Jaylen
0:21Coker right away because this is going
0:23to be an overhang on this pickup and
0:25exactly how aggressive you should go
0:27after him. So Jaylen Coker, it was
0:29reported in the locker room after the
0:31game that he was walking around with a
0:33boot. So obviously the reporters come
0:35through, they ask, "Hey man, what's the
0:37deal? You good?" He says, "Yes, I just
0:39tweaked my ankle." Now we did get
0:41clarity on this Monday that it sounds
0:44like Jaylen Coker is dayto-day and it
0:47sounds like Jaylen Coker is going to be
0:49just fine for playing in week two, but
0:52it will be something that you want to go
0:53through and you want to monitor. Now,
0:55I'm going to be honest kind of
0:56regardless. I would not trust Jaylen
0:59Coker right away. They're going up
1:01against the Atlanta Falcons. We don't
1:02really know what the situation's going
1:04to be for the quarterback with the
1:05Falcons. So, I don't know if we're going
1:07to get another full-blown shootout with
1:10the Carolina Panthers this week because
1:12the Falcons may not be able to keep up.
1:15But Coker just had nine targets, eight
1:18receptions, 138 receiving yards. This is
1:22a 24year-old wide receiver that had
1:24flashed the talent in the past. If we go
1:27back to see what he did in 2025, while
1:30he pretty much did nothing through the
1:32entire regular season and the most
1:34important game of the year for the
1:36Panthers, the one in which Bryce Young
1:38almost took down the Los Angeles Rams,
1:40Jaylen Coker managed to have 12 targets,
1:43nine receptions, 134 receiving yards,
1:46and their receiving touchdown. And
1:47what's going to be very relevant to note
1:49with this Carolina Panthers passing
1:51attack. One of the reasons why I really
1:53liked Tedro McMillan in drafts this
1:55year, and I still like him right now, is
1:57these secondary pass catchers in
1:59Carolina are non-existent. This isn't a
2:01team with a good tight end. This isn't a
2:04team that has a wide receiver three of
2:06relevance. If we go and look at what
2:07this team did in the NFL draft, they
2:10took Chris Brazzle in the third round
2:12hoping that he could be the wide
2:13receiver three behind McMillan and
2:15Coker. and he got injured before the
2:17season started. So, he's effectively a
2:20nothing burger right now. So, in 10 team
2:23leagues, that's where Coker most likely
2:25is on the waiverwire. I do think you
2:26should pick him up. I would not start
2:28him this week. But, if we got another
2:31performance where he dropped another 25
2:34fantasy points and Bryce Young looks
2:36viable, then I think starting in week
2:38three, you could consider starting
2:39Jaylen Coker. Now, the other top pickup
2:42this week for me is going to be Kalin
2:44Black. So, a big overhang that we had in
2:47drafts this season was we didn't exactly
2:50know who the running back to was going
2:51to be behind Christian McCaffrey,
2:53whether it was Jordan James or Kayn
2:55Black. A lot of people were making
2:56arguments either way, but Black did
2:59submit himself in that role week one.
3:02Now, of course, Jordan James banged up,
3:04but Kayn Black came out and not only did
3:08he look really good, but more
3:10importantly, he had an extremely large
3:12role, this was the fewest amount of
3:15snaps that we have seen Christian
3:16McAffrey play from a percentage
3:18standpoint. And any game that he's been
3:20healthy ever since he joined the Niners,
3:22Christian McAffrey played 36 snaps in
3:25comparison to Kayn Black at 28. Now,
3:28obviously, I don't need to tell you
3:29this. I know this was a game that every
3:31single person and their mom watched, but
3:33if you were just box score scouting,
3:36maybe you would say, "Okay, well the
3:37Niners, they kind of boat raced the Los
3:39Angeles Rams here." Was this a scenario
3:41in which, okay, they were just using
3:44black a lot in the fourth quarter? Not
3:46at all. It was actually quite the
3:48opposite. When the game was close at the
3:50beginning, Kayn Black was out there. He
3:53was the one getting the carries over
3:55McCaffrey. At one point he had like
3:57eight carries to Christian McAffrey at
3:59two. Now I'm not looking at this data
4:02and saying like, "Oh my gosh, we can
4:03start Kayn Black as a running back too
4:05in fantasy." Of course not. You're never
4:07going to be able to start Kaylin Black
4:09outside of if we were to get an injury
4:11to McCaffrey and Black steps in as the
4:15featured down running back for this
4:16Niners offense. We have seen every time
4:19in the past when McCaffrey goes down,
4:22whoever Kyle Shanahan puts at running
4:24back one, it can be a name like Jordan
4:26Mason, it doesn't matter. He will be a
4:28top 10 running back in fantasy. So,
4:30Black is now one of the premium
4:32handcuffed guys. If you are rostering
4:34like Mike Washington with the Ashen
4:36Genty injury previously, it's very easy
4:38for you to now drop Washington and pick
4:41up black. Now, I know this guy was
4:42drafted in the vast majority of your
4:44leagues. I'm pretty sure Rome took him
4:45like the sixth round of the Flock
4:46League. But if one of your league mates
4:49were frustrated enough to drop Romeo
4:51Dobs after he scored a total of zero
4:54fantasy points week one, go ahead, pick
4:56him up. He's worth a spot on your bench
4:59now that you have no AJ Brown over the
5:01next month. You have no AJ Brown over
5:03the next six weeks. In my opinion, it
5:05would not be the most surprising thing
5:07in the world if Romeo Dobs went out
5:09there. He had eight targets in week two,
5:1115 fantasy points and then all of a
5:14sudden we get to week three and in
5:15deeper leagues you're considering him
5:17for your second flex spot. So I know as
5:19of now he's not on the waiverwire in a
5:21lot of your leagues, but if he does get
5:23dropped, I still want Romeo Dobs as the
5:25wide receiver one for the New England
5:27Patriots. He's a depth bench piece, not
5:29a league winner. He looked horrible week
5:30one, but I think he's probably the guy
5:32over like Deario Douglas. And then
5:34Michael Mayer, also another interesting
5:36pickup that most likely is already
5:38rostered in your league. We talked about
5:40picking up Michael Mayer last week
5:42whenever we had the injury to Brock
5:44Bowers. But I do want to speak on what
5:46Michael Mayer did week one. Michael
5:48Mayer went out there and in a game in
5:50which the Las Vegas Raiders didn't
5:53really need to throw the ball that much.
5:54I mean, obviously they went out there
5:56and they just put belt to booty to the
5:58Miami Dolphins, Michael Mayer still had
6:01seven targets. He still looked pretty
6:02good out there. they just gave him that
6:04big contract this next week against the
6:06Los Angeles Chargers where Trey McBride
6:08just went absolutely nuclear. It
6:10wouldn't be a surprise if the Raiders
6:11lose this game by a big margin and then
6:14all of a sudden they are having to throw
6:15the ball to Michael Mayer in the second
6:17half. Now I know somebody that a lot of
6:19people are going to be excited to run
6:20out there and snag is going to be Devon
6:22Valle and he did have an interesting
6:25prospect profile, don't get me wrong. He
6:27actually got drafted in the seventh
6:29round of the 2024 draft to the Denver
6:31Broncos. The Broncos ended up trading
6:33him before last season started and he
6:37finally gets his opportunity. This was a
6:39game against the Detroit Lions in which
6:42you have no Jordan Tyson and the Saints
6:45have to abandon the run and ask Tyler
6:47Shuck to drop back to pass 60 times. The
6:51game goes to overtime as well. So, I
6:53know a lot of people are going to go
6:54through and they're going to be pumped
6:56about Devon Bailey. They're going to run
6:57to the waiverwire to pick this dude up.
7:00Hear me out. He is 28 years old and he
7:02has 768 receiving yards. Yeah, you heard
7:04that right. 28 years old and he has 700
7:09receiving yards throughout his entire
7:12NFL career. I have no interest. If you
7:15were to tell me this Saints offense is
7:17going to go to overtime and Tyler
7:20Shuck's going to drop back to pass 60
7:23plus times a game every single week
7:25going into the future, go for it. Happy
7:28for you. Yeah, he'll be interesting in
7:29that case. But that won't be the case
7:32every week. We're not gonna get this
7:33type of passing volume from Tyler Shuck.
7:36So I think that this is a typical trap.
7:39This is just one of those random wide
7:40receivers that popped off week one that
7:43I'm not interested. I can at least tell
7:44myself the story with Gilen Coker. As
7:46with Gilen Coker, he's only 24 years old
7:49and we saw the flashes last year where
7:51we had never seen it with Devon Vele.
7:53Now another instance in which I'm not
7:55going to get suckered in is going to be
7:56Mike Casei. I know a lot of people maybe
7:59that started like Kyle Pittz and were
8:01like, "Oh, damn, he got zero." Or maybe
8:03you went through and you started Coulson
8:04Laughlin who got zero. Maybe you started
8:06Harold Fannon and the Browns look like
8:08trash. Maybe just maybe you run out
8:10there and you go to pick up Mikei. But
8:12the thing is Mikei was drafted back in
8:152018. Mike is 30 years old. He just had
8:19a great game against the Tampa Bay
8:21Buccaneers. Last season he had 300
8:24receiving yards the entire year. He's
8:26nothing. This isn't some breakout. It's
8:28not like he finally put it together on
8:30his third team and his ninth NFL season.
8:34It's a random week one performance. Let
8:36your league mates go for him. Another
8:38trap that we are going to have is going
8:40to be Demarcus Robinson. Yes, we did
8:42have the injury to Dejon Stribbling.
8:44Stribbling is not going to be playing
8:45for a while. And yes, Demarcus Robinson
8:47had a big game and he looked good. But
8:50with Robinson, very similar to these
8:52other names we're talking about, he is a
8:5431-year-old wide receiver that has never
8:57been relevant in fantasy. Do not pick
8:58him up. Tyler Shuck is going to be a
9:01streaming quarterback that a lot of
9:02people are going to be looking at here.
9:03Now, while I completely understand that
9:06Tyler Shuck scored a decent amount of
9:08points against the Detroit Lions, I'm'll
9:10be honest with you, the game went to
9:12overtime, the stats were inflated, and
9:14it was in garbage time.
9:16I don't have much interest for Tyler
9:18Shuck here. I know he had over 400
9:20passing yards, but in my opinion, he
9:23didn't look that good. He didn't run the
9:25ball much. He had 60 drop backs and had
9:27eight total rushing yards. And until
9:29Jordan Tyson comes into this offense, I
9:31think the ceiling is going to be capped
9:33for the New Orleans Saints overall. Um,
9:34George Alani I also think is going to be
9:36a trap. While yes, George Alani did
9:38split the backfield with Jadarian Price.
9:40Even if price were to go down, I would
9:42expect George Alani to still be a
9:44committee running back with Emanuel
9:45Wilson. Let your league mates look at
9:47them. Now, going over to the top
9:49defensive streamers that we are going to
9:51have, what I always look at for
9:53defensive streamers will be point
9:55projections from market makers. So, the
9:58best defense this upcoming week is
10:00pretty easily going to be the San
10:02Francisco 49ers. If we are looking at
10:05the Niners defense, they get to go up
10:07against the Miami Dolphins. Right now,
10:10the spread on this game is the largest
10:12spread of any game in the NFL. If we
10:15head over to Poly Market US, you can see
10:17that the San Francisco 49ers are
10:20currently favored with an 89% chance of
10:24winning this game. The Dolphins only
10:26have a 12% chance. I haven't seen
10:28anything like that all season. The
10:30spread on this game is 13 a.5. Right
10:33now, if we're looking at the projected
10:35points that Miami is going to score on
10:37Poly Market US, they have them at 16
10:40a.5. So, the Dolphins offense garbage.
10:43The Niners are going to be winning. They
10:44can generate sacks, generate
10:46interceptions. Please make sure that is
10:48the defense you're targeting if they are
10:49on the waiverwire. Now, of course, if
10:51you wanted to check out any of those
10:53markets, they're all available in the
10:55link in the description as well as the
10:56link in the comment section to Poly
10:58Market US. And if you sign up with code
11:01flock, you're going to get $50 added to
11:02your account after you deposit your
11:04first 10. Polymarket US is available in
11:06almost every single state and just not
11:09Nevada. 49 out of 50. Now, the other top
11:12defenses we would be looking at would be
11:14the Philadelphia Eagles where if we're
11:16checking out the Eagles here, they just
11:18have a super strong matchup after
11:21already beating a good offense with the
11:22Commanders. This week, they get to go up
11:24against the Tennessee Titans who look
11:26like garbage against the New York Jets.
11:29So, another game in which the spread is
11:31absolutely massive. And the Eagles
11:34should be playing from ahead, which is
11:35what you want from your defense so they
11:37can again generate those sacks, they can
11:39generate those turnovers. And then the
11:41last two defenses I'm going to be
11:43looking at, one will be the Tampa Bay
11:46Buccaneers defense. With Tampa here, um,
11:49yes, last week they technically gave up
11:52a lot of points to the Cincinnati
11:54Bengals, but the defense didn't play
11:56that that bad. It was just Baker turning
11:58the ball over, putting the defense in
12:00bad spots. But Tampa this week gets to
12:02go up against the Deshawn Watson led
12:05Cleveland Browns. So for the love of
12:07God, please make sure you jam them in.
12:09And lastly, I myself will be starting
12:11the Los Angeles Chargers who get to go
12:13up against the Las Vegas Raiders. While
12:16yes, we did have the Chargers just
12:18absolutely melt down week one and look
12:21horrendous. And I actually thought the
12:23Chargers defense was going to be
12:25possibly the best defense on the week.
12:28Um, they get another chance this one
12:29where they are massive, massive
12:31favorites. Currently on Poly Market US,
12:33they have a 74% chance of winning that
12:35game. But of course, if you want to
12:37check out any of those markets, links in
12:39the description, it's in the comment
12:40section. Code Flock gets you hooked up
12:42with $50 added to your account after you
12:45deposit your first 10. And Poly Market
12:47US is available in every US state
12:49outside of Nevada. But much love, ladies
12:52and gentlemen.
