0:00I'm about to do something I said I would
0:02never do, and that is attempt to give
0:04you kicker and defense rankings. And in
0:05full transparency, the reason I'm doing
0:07it is the Flock League drafts this week,
0:09obviously, so I needed to do the
0:11research anyway to figure out what I'm
0:13going to be doing at the end of my
0:14draft, and I figured I'd share with you
0:16what I found out in the kickers and
0:18defenses I'm going to be targeting. Now,
0:19let's start with the kicker list, right?
0:21And tier one by himself, we are going to
0:24have Brandon Aubrey. Very easy. We have
0:26a three-year track record for Aubrey
0:28where he was the kicker number three
0:30last year in fantasy points, the kicker
0:32number one in 2024, and the kicker
0:33number one in 2022. We know this is a
0:37dude that can just consistently hit
0:3950-plus yarders. Even a casual like
0:41myself understands that. And if we look
0:44at his extra point attempts, not many
0:46kickers can match the consistency he's
0:48giving you. He had 48 extra point
0:51attempts last year, nailed 47 of them.
0:53The year prior, he had 100% of them that
0:56he hit, and the year before, he made 49
0:59and only missed three. So, you have the
1:01leg strength, you have the track record
1:04with the consistency, and most
1:05importantly, the situation really
1:07remains the same, right? Because as I go
1:09through and do this kicker research,
1:11what I try to figure out is like, okay,
1:13what have these kickers done in their
1:15situations previously, and did that
1:18situation have a change with the
1:19coaching staff, and should that coach be
1:21a little more aggressive on fourth down,
1:23or maybe a little more conservative?
1:25Well, in Dallas, nothing has changed, so
1:27Aubrey is kicker one by himself. I would
1:29look at taking him, honestly, in the
1:3112th round if he made it to me in the
1:33Flock draft, just cuz I do think he's
1:35going to give me a significant edge at
1:36the position. Now, moving over to Ka'imi
1:39Fairbairn, he is going to lead off the
1:41second tier. I mean, we can go back a
1:43few years. The beginning of 2024, Bush
1:46in the Flock League was winning games
1:48straight up just because his kicker.
1:50Literally, his kicker would be like the
1:51highest-scoring person on his team, and
1:53that was Fairbairn. Um, looking at the
1:56Houston situation, again, very similar
1:58to Brandon Aubrey. We have the track
2:00record of continued success where he
2:02finishes as a top five kicker in points
2:04over the past two seasons. And has the
2:07offense really changed? No. Has the
2:09coaching staff really changed? No. So, I
2:11think we should see the same
2:13conservative play calling on fourth
2:15down. And we should see the same amount
2:17of trips to the red zone, etc. Now,
2:19Cameron Dicker is going to be our next
2:21name here. And with Cameron Dicker, I do
2:23want to put a little asterisk on this in
2:25terms of how his situation's changed
2:27year over year. While Dicker's finishes
2:29a top five kicker in back-to-back
2:31seasons, they did change the offensive
2:33coordinator here. Now, obviously, the
2:35offensive coordinator isn't the main guy
2:37calling the shots on if they're going
2:40for it on fourth down or if they're
2:41going to go through and just kick the
2:43field goal. That is the head coach who
2:45is still the same guy in Los Angeles.
2:48The offense is supposed to be much
2:49better, though. Hopefully, they have
2:51more finished drives and they score more
2:53touchdowns with a better offensive line.
2:55But, yeah, it's still a very good
2:56offense and he's shown the consistency.
2:58Jason Myers will be our next guy, very
3:00similar to Cameron Dicker. Um, last
3:02year, he was actually the number one
3:04kicker in fantasy. He nailed 41 field
3:06goals and 100% of his extra point
3:09attempts at 48. Very similar to what we
3:11have with Cameron Dicker, we have the
3:13same head coach, but the Seattle
3:15Seahawks have changed their offensive
3:17coordinator. Now, the Seattle Seahawks,
3:19among all offenses we've talked about so
3:21far in this video, they do project to be
3:23the
3:24in the league when it comes to
3:25regression year over year, which is why
3:28I would move Myers down slightly. And
3:30also, we can just go back two years ago
3:33and he was a much worse option in 2024
3:35than 2025. Now, our next guy with Cam
3:39Little is very difficult for me to go
3:41through and rank because we know that he
3:44has a leg that very few kickers can
3:46match when it comes to distance.
3:49But, we just don't simply have the same
3:51level track record that we do with the
3:52Brandon Aubrey. We don't have the same
3:54track record that we do with a
3:55Fairbairn, with a Cameron Dicker. And
3:58the Jacksonville Jaguars actually
4:00project to be at the very top of the NFL
4:02in terms of regression year-over-year
4:04with total points scored. So, Cam Little
4:06definitely a kicker I'd be looking to
4:07take, but probably would be in the
4:09second-to-last round. And then as we get
4:12down to our next tier, I'm going to be
4:14honest, the kickers from this point out,
4:16they are all very, very similar. Um Jake
4:18Bates is in a phenomenal offense, he has
4:21the track record, but the issue is this
4:23coaching staff is super aggressive going
4:25for two, super aggressive going for it
4:27on fourth down. If they were more
4:29conservative like the Houston Texans,
4:32Los Angeles Chargers, then at that point
4:34maybe I'd go through and put him up
4:36actually as an S-tier kicker. Again, the
4:38Lions are just going to go for it a ton.
4:40Harrison Mevis, we have no track record
4:42whatsoever, but right now the Los
4:44Angeles Rams project to score the most
4:46points in the NFL. Obviously, you want
4:48kickers in good offenses. Then we have
4:50Tyler Bass as well. Tyler Bass short
4:53track record, change with the coaching
4:55staff. I don't know how aggressive this
4:57coaching staff should be on fourth down,
4:59but nonetheless this actually the kicker
5:01that I rostered for a decent amount of
5:03the season last year in the Flock
5:04league. Now moving down to our next
5:06tier, Chris Boswell historically has
5:09been much better than where we are
5:10ranking him here, but we have the
5:13coaching staff change in Pittsburgh. I
5:15think this coaching staff should be a
5:16little bit more aggressive going for it
5:18on fourth down in comparison to what we
5:19had with Mike Tomlin. Um then we can go
5:22through, look at the kicker for the
5:24Niners, the kicker for the Patriots. Um
5:26Patriots kicker, I will point out very
5:28similar to Cam Little in the
5:29Jacksonville Jaguars. The Patriots are
5:32one of those offenses that actually
5:33project to score significantly fewer
5:35points this year than they did last
5:37based on schedule. Harrison Butker is
5:39the last guy in this tier. Obviously, we
5:40all know the name. The Kansas City
5:42Chiefs are a damn good team, but it's
5:43not like he's ever been an elite kicker
5:45in fantasy. Then our last tier we'll
5:47have guys like Will Lutz kicking in
5:49Denver. You can kick the ball further.
5:51Evan McPherson, good offense, but really
5:53has never been great. And the Chicago
5:55Bears kicker would be better, but again,
5:57Ben Johnson's going to be one of those
5:58coaches that is pretty aggressive on
6:01fourth downs and with two-point
6:02conversions. Now, when it comes to
6:05kicker versus defense strategies,
6:08kickers, I'm pretty much starting
6:10through the entire year. I'm going to
6:11draft one guy, and unless he's absolute
6:13cheeks, I'm not dropping, picking up,
6:15dropping, picking up based on matchup.
6:18Defenses, that's what I'm doing with.
6:19Like, we technically have our DST
6:22rankings on flockfantasy.com, along, of
6:24course, with all our draft sheets, all
6:26our rankings for every position, all the
6:29real-time draft assistant, trade
6:30calculator, my team's page. You get it
6:32all on flockfantasy.com for literally
6:34just $34 for the entire season. And if
6:36you sign up with code flock, you're
6:38going to get free questions that you can
6:39ask me during the year, as well. And I'm
6:41going to be streaming every single night
6:42during the season for you to get those
6:43questions in. But, we have defense
6:46rankings, and I'm going to be ranking my
6:48defenses every single week on the site
6:50for y'all. But, in terms of season-long
6:53DST rankings, they are incredibly weird.
6:56Like, I can guarantee you there going to
6:58be people down in the comment section
7:00that just skipped to the end of the
7:01video, and they're going to be losing
7:03their minds to see where I have the
7:04Tennessee Titans defense ranked. As
7:06obviously, uh
7:08it's a little different how we are doing
7:09this. The S-tier defenses, these are the
7:12elite DSTs that you can draft
7:15and roster the entire season. The Rams,
7:18the Texans, the Denver Broncos. The Rams
7:21get Myles Garrett added in. They have
7:23arguably the best team in the NFL, or at
7:25least that's what sportsbooks are
7:26currently pricing in. So, if they
7:28project to have the best team in the
7:29league,
7:30their defense is going to be pretty damn
7:31good, because typically, what you want
7:33from your defenses is you want them to
7:35have a large lead in games, so the
7:37opposing offense has to drop back. That
7:40way, you can generate sacks, you can
7:41generate fumbles, you can generate
7:43interceptions, right? Those are the
7:45plays that gives your defenses points.
7:47So, the Rams should be ahead in a ton of
7:49these games, and they have a great
7:51defense. The Texans also have a very
7:54strong defense as well, and the Denver
7:56Broncos are there. I mean, these
7:57offenses have had some of the best
7:59defenses in the league the past few
8:01seasons. I would put Houston ahead of
8:03Denver though, because Houston's
8:04division is way easier than what you
8:06have with the Denver Broncos. Now,
8:08moving over to our next tier, the
8:10Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia
8:12Eagles. These are not truly elite
8:14defenses that I would feel comfortable
8:16saying draft, and you know you're going
8:18to be able to hold on to them the entire
8:20season regardless of match-up, but they
8:22have the upside to be that, right? You
8:24can draft Seattle's DST, you can draft
8:26Philadelphia's DST, see how they're
8:28performing at the beginning of the year,
8:29and honestly, both these teams have it
8:32as a possibility to have the best
8:33defense in the league, and maybe you are
8:35just holding them through the entire
8:36season, but also there's a very real
8:39possibility that you go, "Hey, I'm 3
8:40weeks in. I would rather just stream."
8:42and you end up cutting them. But, every
8:44defense under this, I would say will be
8:49ranked based on their early season
8:51schedules.
8:52I hate to do this from a rest of season
8:55rankings. Obviously, if you ever go
8:57through and you look at my rest of
8:59season running back rankings video, I'm
9:01never considering, "Oh, um how do I rank
9:03Jeremiah Love? Who's he playing week
9:05one?" Like, that doesn't matter, but
9:06defenses, you should be streaming them
9:09off the waiver wire consistently if you
9:11don't have one of those top names, and I
9:13think the streamers start as soon as we
9:15get to the Jacksonville Jaguars. And
9:17yes, it seems silly to say the Jags
9:19have, I mean, a defense we should be
9:21targeting in fantasy drafts, but right
9:23now, they get to go up against the
9:25Cleveland Browns week one. The Browns
9:27have the lowest implied team total of
9:29any team in the NFL for week one at 16
9:31and a half points. The Jags are 7 and a
9:33half point favorites, so it's it's
9:35absolute no-brainer for you to go
9:37through and jam them in as a week one
9:40start. Now, in terms of their week two
9:43match-up, week three match-up, they go
9:45Denver, New England, Cincinnati,
9:47Philadelphia. So, you're going to play
9:48the Jags one week and then you're going
9:49to go ahead and cut them and stream. The
9:51Los Angeles Chargers, however, there's
9:54actually a chance that you can go ahead
9:56and start them the first two weeks of
9:59the season. The first week, they get a
10:01very strong match-up against the Arizona
10:04Cardinals. And with Arizona here, they
10:07are 10 and 1/2 point favorites. The
10:09Cardinals project to only score 18
10:11points. So, week one, the Chargers will
10:13have a top five DST for me. Then going
10:16over to week two, they get to play
10:18against the Las Vegas Raiders and
10:20they're going to be heavily favored in
10:21that game as well. Now, after the first
10:24two weeks, you're going to go ahead and
10:25you're going to cut the Chargers defense
10:26because then afterwards, they go up
10:28against Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, KC and
10:30then have a bye, then play the Rams,
10:32Texans, Baltimore. You don't want
10:34anything to do with that, but for the
10:35first two weeks, the Chargers should
10:37absolutely crush. Then we're going to
10:38have the Tennessee Titans at eight. With
10:42Tennessee, I understand we already said
10:44this, but I really want you to get it
10:46through your head. I do not think the
10:48Titans defense is that good with these
10:50rankings, but what I do think is week
10:53one, they get to go up against the New
10:55York Jets. Right now, the Jets have an
10:5818.5 implied team total, the exact same
11:00as the Arizona Cardinals. The over/under
11:03of that game is 38.5
11:05So, it should be one of the lowest
11:07scoring games of the entire week or at
11:09least that's how it's projected to be.
11:11So, yeah, Tennessee, good start week
11:13one, you would immediately cut them
11:15after as they're playing Philadelphia
11:16week two. And then dropping down to our
11:19next team, we are going to have the
11:20Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have a
11:23better defense than some of the teams we
11:25just talked about ahead of them, but the
11:27week one match-up isn't as enticing.
11:30Week one, they have to go up against
11:31Denver, but why I'm going to be ranking
11:33them here is you're going to start them
11:34against Denver week one and it's going
11:35to be pretty tough. But then, you're
11:38going to get to go up against
11:39Indianapolis. I like that match up.
11:41Then, Miami. I love that match up. Then,
11:44the Las Vegas Raiders. I love that match
11:46up. So, you get three good match ups
11:48from the Kansas City Chiefs through the
11:50first four weeks of the season. You'll
11:52cut them after week four when they're
11:53going into their week five bye, but you
11:56get some pretty good match ups here
11:58again. Now, moving over to the
12:00Pittsburgh Steelers. With Pittsburgh,
12:03you're really only going to get one
12:04week. Week one, they get to play against
12:06Tua. So, yes, I think we can go ahead
12:09and target them as that one week
12:10streamer. Going over to the Raiders. I
12:14mean, the Raiders project to be in one
12:15of the lowest scoring games in the
12:18league week one playing against the
12:20Miami Dolphins. I would immediately cut
12:21them after though as they have to go to
12:23the Los Angeles Chargers home. Then
12:25moving over to the Detroit Lions. Lions
12:29should be ahead in a lot of the games
12:31that they play, which obviously you
12:32absolutely love to see. Week one, they
12:34get the New Orleans Saints.
12:37Um, afterwards, they have Buffalo, which
12:38obviously is tough, but then if you were
12:41to hold them through that Buffalo match
12:42up, you get the Jets in week three, the
12:44Panthers in week four, and the Cardinals
12:47in week five. So, that three week
12:49stretch, I mean, the Lions could
12:51absolutely crush. Then moving down to
12:53the tier of defenses I probably wouldn't
12:55bother drafting. We do have the Buffalo
12:57Bills here at 13. With Buffalo, week
13:00one, you're going to be going up against
13:02Houston. Week two, you get the Detroit
13:05Lions, then the Chargers, then the New
13:06England Patriots, then the Rams. So, I
13:09would probably start Buffalo against
13:10C.J. Stroud, but then I'd immediately
13:12cut them after that. Going over to the
13:15Chicago Bears. The Chicago Bears week
13:17one get the Carolina Panthers, then the
13:19Minnesota Vikings. You would definitely
13:21cut them though probably after that
13:22Panthers match up. And then the Ravens
13:25will be our last team. With Baltimore,
13:28Week one, they are going to be going up
13:30against the Indianapolis Colts. Week
13:32two, you get the New Orleans Saints. So,
13:34possibly you get two weeks out of the
13:36Baltimore Ravens, but if you really
13:38wanted to hold them through a tough
13:39match-up like the Dallas Cowboys, then I
13:41guess you actually get Tennessee,
13:43Atlanta, and Cleveland. So, for the
13:45first 6 weeks of the year, Baltimore
13:46does have five good match-ups. But, I
13:49think that's all I got for you. I really
13:50appreciate you, and I hope I was able to
13:52help you out with this video. Again, I
13:54was just trying to figure out who I'm
13:55going to be targeting in my own fantasy
13:56draft, so I wanted to share that with
13:58y'all. But, if you want to check out all
14:00of our rankings, all of our draft sheets
14:02that are customized to your exact league
14:04settings, and your exact platform, or if
14:07you want to get our updated rankings

14:10much all the other creators you watch on
14:12YouTube, the link to flockfantasy.com is

14:30really appreciate you, and really hope I
14:32get to see you out in the live stream
