0:00People say not to overreact to week one, but if you don't react at all, it probably is even worse. Starting off
0:05with our S tier for our top 40 running backs rest of season, we have Gibbs and Bejian Robinson. These were the first
0:12two picks in your fantasy draft for a reason. What happened week one? Oh, Jamir Gibbs saw every single touch out of his backfield. He had 30 plus
0:21touches. He had 30 fantasy points. Oh, it looks like he's the best player in fantasy. Now, maybe you say, "Oh, well,
0:28Bejian Robinson must have sucked, right?
0:30He didn't have a quarterback." Oh, no.
0:31He didn't have a quarterback. So, you know what the Atlanta Falcons did? They went through and they said, "Hey, uh, we're going to throw you the ball 10
0:38times this game. You're going to have 90 receiving yards and the receiving touchdown because you are our only hope on offense." So, these two running backs
0:46are the best two players in fantasy.
0:48Nobody comes remotely close. Nobody at all. Now going over to the A tier. I'll be honest, week one has the red alarms
0:58starting to warm up for McCaffrey. Now it's not full-blown panic mode just yet, but I can't sit here and act like we did
1:07not see him only have 33% of the carries for the NerS. He only had 20 total receiving yards at half. Kaylin Black
1:18was the leading rusher for this team with carries total rushing yards, whatever you wanted to look at. That is not the Macaffrey usage that we're used
1:26to. We have never seen that at any point in San Francisco. But the reason the panic alarms aren't on just yet is it
1:35was a game in Australia. They traveled to the other side of the world to play that game. So, if there was any week one
1:42game in which we could just chalk up to randomness, weirdness, that's the one I'm giving the excuse to. But if that
1:50usage carries over in the second week, then Jonathan Taylor is going to flip him in my ranks. I have Jonathan Taylor
1:56on my fantasy team. Absolutely loved what he did week one. And it was a really bad game environment. Jonathan Taylor dropped 25 points in week one. He
2:06had multiple rushing touchdowns. He had four targets out of the backfield as well. And same exact thing we saw last year. He's the only running back that
2:16they use. Literally the only one that they won't give the ball to another RB.
2:21So Taylor played extremely well. He overcame a horrendous matchup in the first week of the season. But I am worried about the Colts offense. The
2:31entire Colts team looked like garbage against the Baltimore Ravens. And I would hope this Colts team can actually go out there and win some games so they
2:39can lean on the run in the second half.
2:42Now, this is where things began to change because within one week, it's tough for me to move players in my rankings up and down tiers, but inside
2:52the tiers, I can shuffle these guys around willy-nilly. I'm going to be honest. Now, I am not going to be moving
2:59James Cook much. Now, very frustrating game if you started James Cook. super high-scoring game environment against the Houston Texans. And James Cook
3:07didn't do much. He had 9.9 fantasy points. But with that in mind, it was against the Houston Texans, one of the
3:16best defenses in the entire NFL. So, I'm going to give Cook the benefit of the doubt. It's not like there was another
3:23running back, too, here that all of a sudden had a considerable amount of work and we have to now be concerned that
3:29he's going to take James Cook's lunch. I I don't think that's going to be the case. Cook looked to have the same exact
3:35role that he had last year. The offense looks great. Josh Allen looks great. So, I don't see any reason to change his
3:41ranking. I don't see any reason to change the ranking of Chase Brown either. Chase Brown came out week one.
3:47The Cincinnati Bengals are the Cincinnati Bengals. We know what to expect at this point. They had 16 carries and he had six targets. So, he
3:54had 22 total opportunities. And again, the Bengals offense looks good. So, um, nothing at all changed week one for James Cook or Chase Brown for me.
4:03They're right where they were beforehand. Now, Ashton Genty did move up. This is where we had Ash and Genty before any of the ankle fiasco. And now
4:13we can safely say after they go into week one and they decide, yeah, let's give Genty 23 carries, six targets out
4:22of the backfield as well. 30 total opportunities. The man drops almost 30 fantasy points. He's healthy. The prayer circle, the scare that we had before the
4:33season got here with an injury, it was all fake. None of it was real. That never talked about it ever again. Never
4:39think about it ever again. Gent a straightup threeown workhorse. We look at the matchups upcoming against the Chargers. Maybe that's not as scary as
4:48it once seemed. The New Orleans Saints, the Chiefs. Then you get the Patriots, the Bills, the Rams. So you definitely have some much much tougher matchups
4:58than what he just had against the Miami Dolphins. But still, Gent is going to be a three-own workhorse. Now, Dererick Henry is a riser in my ranks for two
5:08separate reasons. One, Derk Henry looks as good as he ever has, right? It doesn't matter that this man is old enough to be my father. It doesn't
5:18matter that this man is old enough to collect social security. He is the best running back of my generation. I don't
5:27think anybody comes close. Maybe Pika Powers, Saquon Barkley, you can make an ar. But no, Dererick Henry from a running back career perspective. Best
5:38running back of my generation. He's unbelievable. Not showing any signs of slowing down. But almost more importantly, Lamar Jackson looked incredible week one. And that was the
5:49big concern you had for the Baltimore Ravens offense. Was Lamar look so bad at the end of last season, you had to ask
5:55like, "Oh, okay. Was it really just the Lamar injury or is he falling off? Did he lose a step?" And it looked like he
6:01was just hurt last year. Now, Devon Aan is going to be sliding down these rankings for me. He slid down past
6:08Genty, slid down past Derrick Henry. I actually drafted Devon Aan in round two.
6:13a lot of the fantasy drafts I did this year. Um, absolutely sucks to see him face planning week one. The same exact
6:20thing that everybody in their mom said was going to happen is exactly what happened. Devon Aan came through. He was not able to establish himself as a
6:29rusher. You know why? Oh, because the Miami Dolphins stink. They can't run the ball in the second half. They're going to have to throw because they're going
6:36to be trailing and he's not going to have eight, nine targets a game because Malik Willis can run the ball. So,
6:42Achan, the concerns are very much real.
6:47Um, Saquon Barkley, of course, he didn't have a good fantasy day either week one.
6:53Like, he comes through, he had nine total fantasy points, but he had 15 carries. The big concern that I would have with Barkley again is the fact that
7:01if Jaylen Herz is going to vulture rushing touchdowns and Barkley isn't gonna have a really high receiving role out of the backfield, it's like you're
7:10either getting the long rushing TDs or not for Barkley. So, I think he's still a set it and forget it low-end running
7:17back one, but I am slightly concerned.
7:20Amari Hampton looked damn damn damn damn good. But with the Mari and Hampton, the holdup that I'm going to have to have at
7:27this point is going to be the fact that the Los Angeles Chargers just lost to what we believed was the worst team in
7:35the NFL.
7:37We were so excited about this coaching staff coming in implementing something that's going to be able to elevate Justin Herbert, elevate Amari and
7:45Hampton. offensive line was fully healthy and the Chargers offense look just very similar with the output of this game compared to what we saw last
7:55season. I'm still very excited about Hampton as a player, but I do need to raise some red alarms. And then going
8:02over to the last name in this here with Kenneth Walker. We have not had a chance to see Kenneth Walker play yet. We
8:08actually do have that game getting played tonight. Obviously, I'll be updating you in the live stream at the end of that game with our ranking of
8:16Kenneth Walker and what happened, but if we look at the projections right now on Poly Market US, obviously the Chiefs are
8:23supposed to win, but if we scroll down and look at the player props and look at fantasy points PPR here, you'll see
8:30Kenneth Walker right now, they have a 52% chance of scoring 15 or more fantasy points. So, they are saying that Walker
8:38is just going to come out here and absolutely crush. Now, of course, if you wanted to check out any of those
8:44markets, you can find the link to Poly Market US in the description as well as the comment section. If you sign up with
8:51code flock, you're going to get $50 out of your account after you play your first 10. And Poly Market is available
8:57in 49 out of 50 states, every state other than Nevada. But let's move this over to our next tier. This is going to
9:05be started off with Jeremiah Love. So with Love, I know it may seem weird. I'm flipping him over Bree Hall. And you may
9:14go, Mason, what the hell, man? Bruce Hall just had a phenomenal day. Uh Jeremiah Love just got out touched and out snapped by Tyler Algier. Here's the
9:22deal. Jeremiah Love halfway through this season is going to be the full workhorse threeown running back for the Cardinals.
9:32He is that talented. He is an absolute stunt. Early in the season, the rookie is naturally gonna have a smaller role,
9:40especially since he's coming off a high ankle sprain. So, I am not that concerned about what we saw with Jeremiah Love in terms of his week one
9:49usage.
9:51Now, what I am optimistic about is the Arizona Cardinals looked functional.
9:56They look like a good offense. And I think that would have been the biggest red flag you had for Love, in my
10:03opinion, is not the usage. It's were the Cardinals the worst offense in the league? And I have way more confidence in them um after this game against the
10:11Chargers than I did beforehand. Now, your argument may be, well, Mason, come on, man. Um Bree Hall and the New York
10:16Jets look pretty damn good. The Jets won this game. Yeah, but also the Jets played the Tennessee Titans. though.
10:22While the Jets also looked really good, I'm going to discount that a little bit more in comparison to what we saw with
10:29the Cardinals. Now, moving over to Javvante Williams. Javvante Williams honestly did not look that good in the game against the New York Giants. But
10:38keep in mind, they cut Jaden Blue. Jaden Blue is in Philadelphia. Then Malik Davis, their backup running back, just went out for the season. So, Javvantee
10:47is the last running back left standing.
10:50He's the only running back left standing. And on top of this with Javvante Williams, I think the Dallas Cowboys are going to be in better game
11:00environments in the future in comparison to what they were this week. And still Javvante dropped 24 fantasy points. So 100% need to just go through and
11:09absolutely jam them. And then Kron Williams add 16. The Rams looked really, really bad on Thursday night, but the game was in Australia. So, with the game
11:20being in Australia, I'm going to be giving the benefit of the doubt to the Rams. I'm not going to overreact. Blake
11:26Corum for sure is going to have a role, but Kairen Williams is still going to be the receiving back and he has a goal
11:31line role as well. Now, going over to Bucky Irving. Bucky Irving is a riser for me after week one. What we were
11:38concerned about week one or really through the entire season was Bucky possibly being in a three-man running back by committee getting squeezed by
11:47Shawn Tucker at the goal line and getting squeezed by Kenneth Gainwell through the air. Well, Bucky Irving had a massive role this week. Shawn Tucker
11:57didn't play and Bucky still had seven targets with Gainwell on this team. So, this dude looks good. I don't think he's
12:04going to be like a true workhorse level running back at any point, but he wasn't that in his rookie season and he was a
12:10league winner. So, he has to be a riser at this point. Now, DeAndre Swift at 18.
12:16It does seem crazy that we are not moving DeAndre Swift up after an insane game in which the Chicago Bears dropped
12:2459 points. I think it was very wacky. I think it's a good match up against Carolina Panthers. And if you had
12:30DeAndre Swift lower than this, of course, you should go ahead and move him up. But we already had DeAndre Swift relatively high. I don't think I can
12:38push him up to like ahead of Javvante Williams, Bree Hall. I'm very excited about Chicago, but Kyle Manungai looks good, too. And I think Kyle Manungai
12:46will have a role here as well. Now, David McGomery at 19. David McGomery, chef's kiss, looked phenomenal in week one, right? Three total touchdowns in a
12:56tough game environment. Now, I'll say like if you're just box score scouting, yards per carry, not great, but the contact balance looked really good. He
13:04was able to go out there and break tackles. Woody Marks did get a considerable amount of playing time though, and that is going to be
13:11something to monitor going into the future. But McGomery is still an absolute jam, must start running back, as well as Cam Scataboo. With Cam
13:20Scataboo, I was potentially worried about the ankle coming into this season.
13:24Seeing them sign Naji Harris, it spooked me. I thought, crap, what did this say about the rehab process for Scat. Is he
13:33gonna start off slow? Are they going to have to ramp him up? No. He was clearly the most talented running back in that
13:40game with the Giants as well as the Dallas Cowboys. And he had a massive role as well. So, I think Scataboo, all
13:47systems go full fire into your lineup.
13:50Automatic start every week. And then the last running back in this tier is going to be Travis ETN. ETN's the big follower
13:57because the dude looked like crap. He had nine carries. Nine carries. Now he saved the day with seven receptions for
14:0632 receiving yards. And I had Travis ETN on my fantasy team. He did just enough for me to score the most points in the
14:13Flock League this week, win $5,000.
14:16Thank you, Travis ETN. Thank you, Jonathan Taylor. I appreciate y'all. But going into the future, I am very concerned because if Kamar comes in and
14:26Kamara takes some of this receiving work, Travis ETN, I know on the broadcast they were saying Travis Aan, whatever you want to say, I'm saying
14:33ETN. Um, I'm worried that he may not be good enough as a rusher in this offense to really make a difference. But as of
14:41now, he's still definitely a mustart running back until we see otherwise. But I want to be very clear here as I talk
14:47through this. You may think DeAndre Swift's low, Bucky Irving's low, McGomery's low. You may think any of these running backs are low. These top
14:5621, this is the who's who of running back in fantasy at the moment. These are the guys that you are playing every
15:03single week, if you have them there in your lineup. And while it may seem low to have Cam Scaboo at 20, I'm very
15:10excited about them. I just have to put somebody at 20. Now, as we go down to the E tier, this is where we begin to
15:15get to a range where I think honestly you could look at benching one of these guys. Like Quinn Shawn Judkins is just
15:22in a situation in which you're simply not going to have red zone opportunities. You're not going to have touchdown upside. And I know we had some
15:33people coming through and saying, "Oh, okay. Well, Judkins is going to expand his role as a receiver." We didn't really see that week one. You had two
15:41total receptions and only two total targets for Quinn Sean Judkins. So until we get Shadur Sanders as the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns and
15:51until we have some signs of life for this Browns offense.
15:57If you had a better option than Judkins like in the flex I would maybe look to play a receiver. Now, Bashel Tutin at
16:0423. With Toutin, the role was pretty good in comparison to Chris Rodriguez at points. I just don't particularly want to overreact to what we had week one
16:15because this game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns, it was so damn weird. It wasn't even like a football game. It was over
16:22from the very jump. So if Bashel Tutton proves to be that starting running back for Jacksonville in week two, he could
16:29very easily jump up into the D tier.
16:32Jadarian Price at 24. Jaderian Price doesn't really have a large role right now in Seattle, but very similar to Jeremiah Love. We are going to expect
16:41Price to increase his role as time goes on. But as of now, George Alani actually sadly did see some work both as a
16:51receiver and at the goal line. So, I think maybe you need to be slightly concerned, but long-term, Jerian Price is going to be in a great spot. Now,
16:59Juba Hubard at 25, Hubard is one of the biggest risers that we have in all of fantasy football at the running back
17:06position after week one. Didn't really know what the split was going to be between Chubbert and Jonathan Brooks.
17:12And I know some people may say, "Oh, come on, Mason. Um, Jonathan Brooks was injured. Jonathan Brooks wasn't fully healthy." That's kind of the problem
17:19with Jonathan Brooks, if I'm going to be honest. Chuba Hubard played every single snap effectively. Jonathan Brooks looked good. I'm not going to sit here and say
17:26who's better from a per snap perspective, but at this point, Chuba Hubard looks like he is the starting running back for the Carolina Panthers.
17:35Now, Trevian Henderson at 26. Here's the deal. The New England Patriots, they need playmakers. They truly do. Raadre
17:45Stevenson ain't it. Remandre Stevenson's probably going to be a must-art running back until Trevian Henderson comes back just because Remandre Stevenson's going
17:53to see all the touches in this backfield and the workload's going to be way too big where you simply just have to go
18:00ahead and get him in. But my bet based on what we saw week one is that once Trevon gets in here, there's a good
18:08chance we see the New England Patriots think we have to find a way to get the ball in this dude's hands. It's not a
18:15guarantee, but if it happens, I think he does have a very high ceiling. I will say I'm probably gonna have to go ahead
18:22and move Stevenson over Jaylen Warren because when we're looking at Jaylen Warren here, um Warren was not in a really good situation when it comes to
18:30his split with Rico D. Like Rico Dattle actually did play a considerable amount.
18:35So, um, all of these running backs in the E tier, rank them whatever order you want, but all of those players are guys
18:42I could see you benching in the wrong matchup, playing in the right setup.
18:46Now, going to the F tier, leading us off is going to be RJ Harvey. Again, I don't necessarily know what to expect with
18:54R.J. Harvey this week. Um, I like him over the other Denver Broncos running backs because he's going to be able to
19:00go through and he's going to be able to catch the ball. Um, however, right now, if you are looking at Poly Market US,
19:06you do have JK Dobbins with a 54% chance to score eight or more fantasy points where you only have RGV with a 50%
19:13chance. But again, if I'm talking pure upside, the reason why I prefer Harvey is he is going to be the receiving back
19:20in this back field. Rico Dowel did have himself a nice little role for the Pittsburgh Steelers week one, but it for
19:28sure is not enough for us to be able to go through and start him. It's just enough for us to be frustrated about
19:35Jaylen Warren and it to cap Jaylen Warren's upside. Now, Josh Jacobs, I think there is a good chance that this dude is going to be back in week six
19:46probably. I I mean maybe week seven. I think maybe he ends up getting a sixgame suspension. What we were told from Adam
19:53Sheffy is we were told that any time spent on the commissioner list for Jacobs will most likely count towards his suspension. So if we get word in
20:03week three that Jacobs is suspended six weeks and he's already missed the first three weeks.
20:09He'll be back potentially by week seven.
20:11Of course it's a risk, but I think you do have an upside chance there going over to Blake Cororm with Cororum. um
20:20smallalish role that didn't prove to be valuable week one. I'm definitely stealing work from Kairen, don't get me wrong, but I would still say he's kind
20:28of like a premium handcuff running back.
20:30I would view him and Kyle Manungi very similarly where if we were to get an injury to DeAndre Swift, Kyle Manungai
20:37is a muststart league winning name. If we were to get an injury to Kron Williams, Blake Cororm is a mustart league winning
20:47name. But with out an injury to one of those two guys, I do think we have to be slightly um hesitant to go through and play these
20:57second fiddles. Now going over to the Gtier, Tony Pard's going to lead us off.
21:02Uh Tony Pard technically the starter for the Tennessee Titans, but the Tennessee Titans are so bad they just got dominated by the New York Jets. So, um I
21:12don't see how I could tell you like, oh yeah, let's go through and let's start Tony Pard with confidence at really any
21:18point. Marshon Lloyd, similar thing here. He's in a running back by committee. Did not prove himself week one. The Green Bay Packers offensive
21:27line looks atrocious. And Josh Jacobs potentially comes back soon. Um Jordan Mason at 36. I probably need to go ahead and move Jordan Mason up, but here's the
21:38deal. The quarterback play in Minnesota now is going to be very bad. And on top of this, Jordan Mason did just split
21:44this back field pretty evenly with Aaron Jones as well. If you can tell, these G guys are like the desperation starts. I
21:51don't see a high ceiling from any of these players, but if you need to get somebody in your starting lineup, they're definitely viable. Like we would
21:58include JK Dobbins in this, Jakori Kroski Merritt in this, Jonathan Brooks in this, and Kenneth Gainwell. Now, of course, some of these names would
22:07project out better from a week-toeek perspective, such as like Jakori Cross projects out well because he's the clear starting running back for the
22:15Commanders, but also it's a garbage offensive line. He's not going to catch the ball at all. So, I don't think he
22:19has a high ceiling. Similar thing with JK Dobbins here. JK Dobbins will project out well, but um he gets injured constantly and he's not going to catch
22:26the ball. So, I do think we need to go through and maybe be a little bit more hesitant where we rank him due to the
22:32upside case, even if the median projections a little bit better than some of the other names. But I think that's all I got for you. I really
22:38appreciate you. Of course, if you wanted to go through, if you wanted to check out any of those projections for the
22:46Monday night game, for the Thursday night game, etc., etc. Poly Market US is available in 49 out of 50 states. And if
22:54you sign up with code flock, you are going to be getting $50 added to your account after you deposit your first 10.
23:01Link is in the description as well as the comment section. But much love, ladies and gentlemen. I really appreciate you and I hope I get to see
23:06you out in the live stream later
