Alvin Kamara

PositiveUsage5:19

Michael Penn plans to continue starting Alvin Kamara despite concerns about his efficiency, citing his secure red zone role and seven targets out of the backfield as key drivers for his RB2 value.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveProjection0:34

Bijan Robinson remains a top-tier fantasy running back despite Brian Robinson Jr.'s touchdown vulturing; his role is comparable to last season when he finished as the RB2 despite Tyler Allgeier's eight rushing touchdowns. Michael Penn notes that while Robinson is currently healthy, his potential absence would elevate Brian Robinson Jr. to league-winner status.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

NegativeRole0:37

Brian Robinson Jr. is filling the role Tyler Allgeier held last season, which is not startable in fantasy lineups while Bijan Robinson is healthy; however, Michael Penn identifies him as a potential league winner if Bijan were to miss time.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeInjury6:26

Michael Penn highlights Chris Olave's 12-target volume but expresses concern over a late-game knee injury; however, post-game observations suggest he is likely fine.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveUsage0:34

Drake London's usage is encouraging, as he commanded six targets out of only 20 total pass attempts by Michael Penix Jr.; Michael Penn maintains that London remains a top-10 wide receiver.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveUsage7:58

Michael Penn considers Juwan Johnson a top 10 tight end, noting that he continues to be incredible due to his target volume.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeProjection0:02

Michael Penix Jr. is not a viable fantasy starter because he lacks rushing upside; while he helps support the fantasy value of teammates, he is not a waiver wire target.

0:00I'm going to be honest, this may be a
0:02really good Falcons team with Michael
0:03Penn. Now, obviously, I don't want to
0:05overreact to one game where it was a
0:08blowout from the very beginning, right?
0:09Going into half, this game was 24-7,
0:14ends up with the final score of 45-24.
0:19I do think there are some fantasy
0:21implications that we can take away. Now,
0:23Michael Pennix looks like he's going to
0:25be a good quarterback to help us support
0:30fantasy points for the guys that matter,
0:32right? The guys that matter are going to
0:34be Robinson. They're going to be Drake
0:37London and hell, maybe they're Brian
0:40Robinson. They're probably not Brian
0:41Robinson, right? We'll talk about him in
0:43just one second. But Michael Pennix
0:46himself, you're never going to start in
0:48fantasy football. Um, I mean, just in
0:50general, doesn't have any rushing
0:52upside. If you were going to start a
0:53quarterback with no rushing upside, I'd
0:55rather just go through and play Goff.
0:57I'd rather play somebody like Stafford,
0:59somebody that we have the larger sample
1:00of. So, not going to overreact thinking
1:03that like Michael Penn is somebody you
1:04should pick up off the waiverwire, but
1:06he looked really good in this game going
1:08over to the running backs. So, Brian
1:11Robinson did get a lot of usage at the
1:13end of the game. So, I don't want to
1:14take away his 14 carries and say like,
1:16"Oh my gosh, he's a real threat to
1:17Bejian." What's maybe going to be a
1:19little bit annoying here is obviously he
1:22had the rushing touchdowns that he
1:25vultured. Now, one of those rushing
1:27touchdowns was at the very end of the
1:28game where it was already a blowout.
1:30Didn't really matter. But two of them,
1:33they were legit, right? I mean, they
1:35were probably really frustrating if you
1:37were a Bejian Robinson owner. Now, do I
1:41think you need to change your outlook,
1:43change your opinion on Bejian Robinson
1:46after this game? No. And it's very
1:48simple and that's because we've seen
1:50this story before. Let's go back and
1:53let's look at a player named Tyler
1:55Algier last season. Obviously now on the
1:59Arizona Cardinals, but last season he
2:00was sharing the backfield with Bejon.
2:03And last season Tyler Algier had eight
2:06rushing touchdowns. So this isn't that
2:09different than what we saw with the
2:10Algier usage. I don't want to say like,
2:13oh, Brian Robinson is startable because
2:15like even in this role that Tyler Algier
2:18scored eight touchdowns in last season,
2:20Tyler Algier still only averaged 7.2
2:23fantasy points per game and was the
2:25running back 48 in points per game. But
2:28I think what we had from Alier last
2:30season is the exact same thing that we
2:32are getting from Brian Robinson this
2:34season. And again, last year when Tyler
2:37Algier stole eight rushing touchdowns
2:39from Bejon, Bejian still finished with
2:4121 fantasy points per game and was still
2:44the running back, too. In this game,
2:46Bejian Robinson had 145 rushing yards,
2:49including the incredible rushing
2:50touchdown to open the game up. Now, the
2:53receiving involvement wasn't crazy, but
2:55you also only had 20 pass attempts for
2:59Penn. So, Bejian still a top two running
3:01back. And then with London, he didn't
3:04have himself a crazy game from a fantasy
3:08perspective, but they had five rushing
3:10touchdowns. And again, Michael Penn only
3:12had 20 pass attempts. So, London had six
3:15targets out of 20 potential targets for
3:18Michael Penn. So, that's really good
3:20usage. And I would actually be maybe a
3:23little more excited about London after
3:25this game, even if he only scored 14 and
3:27a half. And again, obviously, we are
3:29going to be more excited about the
3:31Atlanta Falcons in general. Let me pull
3:33up their odds of winning next week. So,
3:38next week they are playing against the
3:39Baltimore Ravens. Obviously, this is an
3:41offense that may not have Lamar, but
3:44before the Lamar injury, the Falcons had
3:46a 28% chance of winning this game. Now,
3:49I mean, hell, after this game here for
3:54what kickoff was at like six, the
3:56Falcons had a 42% chance of beating the
3:58Ravens next week. That's up to a 44% now
4:02after this performance against the
4:03Saints. I wonder if that goes higher.
4:05Now, obviously, this market is on Poly
4:07Market US. If you wanted to check out

4:18outside of Nevada. But going over to
4:20Kyle Pittz, I cut Kyle Pittz off of my
4:23fantasy team last week and I don't want
4:27to
4:29um
4:32like I don't want to talk too much here
4:34because while yeah, he had that one play
4:36where he looked really good, he didn't
4:37see enough playing time for him to be
4:40somebody you could ever rely on
4:41consistently. So, I'm using Bejon as
4:44still a top three running back in
4:46fantasy. Brian Robinson as Tyler Algier
4:48from last season where I'm probably
4:51never putting him in my lineup with
4:52Bejian healthy, but if Bejan were to go
4:55down, Brian Robinson could be a league
4:56winner and Drake London's still a top 10
4:58wide receiver and nobody else is.
5:00Interesting. Now, going over to the New
5:02Orleans Saints, this is a classic Tyler
5:05Shut game where we just get all the
5:07passing volume in the world. 48 pass
5:10attempts from Tyler Shuck. They get boat
5:13race, right? We've seen this before with
5:15the New Orleans Saints. When they get
5:16down big, they're going to abandon the
5:18run. They're going to throw the ball
5:19over and over again. Alvin Kamara comes
5:22away with the two rushing touchdowns. I
5:24had Alvin Kamara in my lineup this week.
5:27I'm going to be honest with you, I'm
5:29excited to start him going into the
5:30future. Like, of course, does Kamara
5:33look great? No, of course he doesn't.
5:37But I mean at this point he has the red
5:40zone role and also he had seven targets
5:43out of the backfield. Now they
5:44definitely had a three-man running back
5:45by committee. Miller was out there a
5:47ton. Miller looked really bad. Miller
5:50fumbled as well. I would hope that he
5:52sees the field less. CJ Donaldson was
5:55out there in like the obvious passing
5:57down scenarios like the two-minute
5:58drill. It's a little frustrating. I
6:00actually wanted that to be Kamara. But
6:02regardless, it's a three-man running
6:04back by committee with Kamara seeing the
6:05majority of it. So, I will be playing
6:08Alvin Kamara going into the future. I
6:10had Travis CTN. My team is dog water, so
6:14I don't have an option. I think he is a
6:16low-end running back too consideration
6:19for y'all until you end up getting
6:22Kamara, I'm sorry, ETN back. Now going
6:26over to the pass catchers, Chris Ave got
6:3012 targets. Now the question that I have
6:36that please chat, let me know real
6:38quick. Do we have an update on the Chris
6:41Ave injury?
6:45Please let me know in the live chat
6:46right now. A went down at the end of
6:49this game. Um let me pull up Twitter and
6:52see if we have something. AV got tackled
6:54like one minute left. Looked like he
6:56banged up his knee. I'm assuming that
7:01he is okay, right?
7:04Okay, we got no updates. I don't think
7:05so. He's fine. No updates. No, just a
7:08bad bruise. It seemed like he didn't go
7:10down. Um,
7:14yeah, I can't see here. I just literally
7:16searched a lav on Twitter. This is what
7:19pops up. Three random accounts. I know
7:20this guy's like a Saints beat reporter.
7:23Chris Ave just got hurt 20 minutes ago.
7:25Chris Ave limped off the field after
7:27taking a shot to the knee. Mave looked
7:29hurt on the sidelines. He's been
7:30grabbing at his knee a few times. He
7:32walked off the field. It doesn't look
7:34like it's anything super serious, but
7:35definitely something to monitor.
7:37Obviously with Olive here, this is a a
7:40very common occurrence in and out of the
7:41injury tent. Again, while you have no
7:44Jordan Tyson and at the same time you
7:46have um Crystal Lave fully healthy, he's
7:49a top five wide receiver in fantasy
7:51rankings every week. Long-term
7:53definitely think that there is some
7:54injury risk here, but we'll see what the
7:56update is. Jawan Johnson continues to
7:59still be incredible with volume. Devon
8:01Vele makes one of the best receiving
8:03touchdown catches I've seen in a very
8:05long time. If a were to miss any time,
8:08Jawan Johnson and Devon Vele would
8:10probably be must start names. If a is
8:13back next week, you probably play a lav
8:17um as a borderline top five wide
8:19receiver. Jawan Johnson definitely is a
8:22top 10 tight end. Devon Vele, yes, he
8:25had a good day. Yes, he had a phenomenal
8:27touchdown.
8:29Realistically, this is a game in which
8:30there are 48 Tyler Shuck pass attempts.
8:32I think Devon Veil is still just a
8:34borderline flex play. And then Alvin
8:36Kumar is a lowend to mid RB2 with um the
8:40flex consideration as well. But I don't
8:44think I have anything else. I will be
8:46live tomorrow giving you all the
8:48additional updates that we have here
8:49with the Chris Lave knee injury. I don't
8:52see anything for now, but
8:57I really appreciate you all. Hopefully
8:59Chris Lave is okay. Again, I am
9:03going through and trying to find
9:06anything, but I just can't. I'm sure
9:07they'll say something in the press
9:08conference after and hopefully Chris Ave
9:11is at practice. Since this was a Monday
9:13game, I think probably he'll be
9:16hopefully he's at practice Thursday. If
9:17he's at practice Thursday, he'll be
9:19fine. But, um, much love, ladies and
9:23gentlemen. I really appreciate you. and
9:26and okay, actually it looks like a lav
9:28appear to be fine during postgame
9:30handshake. So, Crystal Lave is most
9:32likely fine again. But much love.
9:34Appreciate you.
