Aaron Jones

NegativeRole26:20

Ron Stewart notes that Aaron Jones is competing to beat out Jordan Mason in the Vikings' offense, citing his pass-catching upside and seniority, though he questions if Jones has any magic left.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveProjection0:29

Rod ranks Bijan Robinson as the RB2 in the S+ tier, noting he is a prime running back coming off a 20+ points per game season.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveBreakout22:16

Ron Stewart views Braelon Allen as a year-two breakout candidate, citing his strong rookie efficiency and reports that he is poised to seize a passing-down role in an improved offense.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveProjection10:07

Ron Stewart ranks Breece Hall as his RB14, noting he is being drafted at his floor. Despite the Jets' poor offensive performance, Hall has averaged 15.3 points per game over his career. Stewart expects a situation upgrade with Geno Smith providing more checkdowns and an improved offensive line, projecting a return to Hall's receiving-game dominance.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue25:52

Ron Stewart is targeting Bucky Irving, noting he is being drafted at his floor (RB20) despite playing in an offense with a top-three offensive line and a healthy supporting cast. Irving is also highlighted as one of Liam Cohen's last two lead running backs, both of whom finished as top-24 fantasy performers.

Insight page

Cam Akers

PositiveBreakout25:14

Ron Stewart is targeting Cam Akers at the 4/5 turn, citing his year-two leap potential, passing-down and goal-line usage, and a 20-point-per-game ceiling when healthy.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveUsage7:25

Rod ranks Chase Brown as RB8, citing his pass-catching upside and a Bengals offensive line that is better than perceived; he averaged 21 points per game in contests with Joe Burrow, though he is considered the least talented player in his current tier.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue10:21

Ron Stewart prefers drafting Chris Olave over running backs like Javonte Williams or Kyren Williams in the third round, viewing Olave as a superior target once the top-tier running backs are off the board.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveValue25:10

Ron Stewart identifies Chris Rodriguez Jr. as his most drafted running back in current drafts, citing his potential as a grinder on a good Jaguars offense, though he notes there is some shaky downside if he fails to seize a role.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeProjection0:49

Rod places Christian McCaffrey in the A tier; while acknowledging his status as the previous RB1 overall in points per game, he expresses concern regarding McCaffrey's age (30) and the heavy 450-touch workload from last season.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeInjury23:40

D'Andre Swift is viewed as a high-end RB2 target projected for 15+ touches per game in a top-five offense, though his status requires monitoring after he left practice early with an injury.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeBust30:39

David Montgomery is labeled a 'dead zone' running back profile; he is an aging veteran who has seen his points-per-game decline for three consecutive years despite playing alongside Jahmyr Gibbs.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeProjection10:48

Ranked as RB11, Devon Achane faces a difficult environment with a bottom-five offense and offensive line; his receiving ceiling is threatened by Malik Willis, a scrambling quarterback who historically limits check-downs to running backs, similar to the impact Daniel Jones and Jalen Hurts had on Saquon Barkley.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveProjection10:10

Derrick Henry is a top-tier running back option in a projected top-five offense under Lamar Jackson and play-caller Todd Monken; despite age concerns, he has maintained 16-19.8 points per game and could lead the league in touchdowns, with potential for increased involvement in the screen game.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveValue10:21

Ron Stewart identifies Devonta Smith as a preferred third-round draft target, explicitly stating he would take Smith over running backs like Javonte Williams or Kyren Williams.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeUsage28:36

George Holani is expected to compete for passing-down work, which could complicate backfield usage and create a messy situation for fantasy owners.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

PositiveProjection0:36

Rod ranks Isiah Pacheco in the S+ tier, identifying him as a prime running back coming off a 20+ points per game season.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeProjection22:57

Ron Stewart ranks J.K. Dobbins as RB34; while he has the potential to serve as a lead back on a good offense, his career outlook remains heavily defined by persistent injury concerns.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveBreakout27:39

Ranked as RB22, Jadarian Price is a high-upside target due to Zack Charbonnet's PUP status. Price led his college class in explosive run rate and possesses untapped receiving upside, making him a 'perfect upside swing' in middle rounds, though George Holani could complicate the backfield rotation.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection0:29

Rod ranks Jahmyr Gibbs as the RB1 in the S+ tier, citing his role in a superior Detroit offense and his proven production coming off a 20+ points per game season.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveUsage2:34

Rod ranks James Cook as RB5, noting that Ty Johnson's injury could lead to an increased passing game role for Cook, which would unlock his potential to finish as the RB1 overall.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveBust11:36

Ron Stewart classifies Javonte Williams as a 'small hit, big miss' player with a high floor but low ceiling. He cites Williams' poor 0.4 yards per route run (57th of 59) as evidence that he is unlikely to exceed his draft position, preferring to target wide receivers with higher upside in the third round.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage20:48

Ranked as RB29, Jaylen Warren has 60-plus catch upside and familiarity with Aaron Rodgers, making him a strong fantasy option in the Steelers' backfield.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveProjection9:21

Ron Stewart ranks Jeremiah Love as his RB13, viewing this as closer to his floor than his ceiling. Despite a high ankle sprain, Stewart highlights Love's elite talent and potential to emerge as an RB7 in points per game from Week 7 onward, labeling him a potential league winner.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout21:40

Ron Stewart views Jonah Coleman as a strong day-three rookie pick with upside who could see significant usage in the Broncos' offense, potentially acting as a direct replacement if J.K. Dobbins misses time.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveProjection1:53

Rod ranks Jonathan Taylor as RB4 in the S tier, highlighting his 23.9 points per game performance with Daniel Jones last year and his career-high in receptions as key factors for his first-round value.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveBreakout23:38

Despite having torn his ACL twice, Jonathan Brooks is considered a 'blackbox' upside pick with receiving ability and the potential to become the Panthers' lead back; Ron Stewart expects him to take over passing-down work from Chuba Hubbard as early as Week 1.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveRole24:23

Ron Stewart notes that Jordan Mason is drawing live to be the lead back for the Vikings, who are expected to see an offensive bounceback.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue10:21

Ron Stewart highlights Josh Allen as a consistent 'monster pick' over the last five seasons and a preferred target in the third round over running backs he views as having limited upside.

Insight page

Justice Hill

NegativeProjection21:39

Ron Stewart notes that Justice Hill is likely the favorite to outscore Jonah Coleman, but prefers drafting the rookie Coleman for his potential to emerge later in the season.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeInjury27:50

Ron Stewart views Keaton Mitchell as an explosive pass-catching back in the Mike McDaniel offense, but his ranking is currently suppressed due to an injury with no clear recovery timeline.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveUsage23:59

Ron Stewart highlights Kenneth Gainwell as a high-efficiency receiving-down back with the potential to reach 70-plus catches in a strong offense.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveBreakout6:52

Rod ranks Kenneth Walker as RB7, projecting him to be the next workhorse in Andy Reid's offense; Ron Stewart expects the offense to flow through Walker while Patrick Mahomes recovers from an ACL tear, supported by a top-10 offensive line.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

PositiveSleeper24:32

Ron Stewart identifies Kyle Monangai as a high-upside handcuff on a high-powered offense, comparing his potential value to Blake Corum, despite the fact that he is currently dealing with an injury.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeBust11:36

Ron Stewart expresses skepticism regarding Kyren Williams' outlook, noting his declining points-per-game production and lack of significant receiving volume (never exceeding 40 catches). Stewart expects a workload split with Blake Corum, potentially limiting his output to 13-14 points per game, making him a frustrating pick in the third round.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole32:24

Ranked as RB27, MarShawn Lloyd is currently the lead back for the Packers, but his value is highly dependent on the uncertain status of Josh Jacobs, who is on the commissioner's exempt list.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveSleeper25:40

Ron Stewart ranks Mike Washington Jr. as RB42, noting his stock was previously higher. He is a 220-pound back with 4.3 speed who could gain significant value if the starter misses time or proves inefficient due to an ankle injury.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeBust30:07

Ranked as a risky bet due to a tough ankle injury, poor offensive line play, and lack of pass-catching usage, as he will be off the field on passing downs for Dylan Sampson.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeValue31:58

Ranked as RB26, Rhamondre Stevenson is viewed as a steady, down-to-down runner whose floor makes him a sensible choice for zero-RB builds.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

PositiveValue20:48

Ron Stewart ranks Rico Dowdle as RB30 and prefers drafting him over Jaylen Warren due to his cheaper cost, despite having them ranked back-to-back.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveProjection21:37

Ron Stewart ranks R.J. Harvey as RB31, noting his status as a top-24 back last year and his potential as a receiving back under Sean Payton, comparing his upside to Darren Sproles.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveProjection5:18

Rod ranks Saquon Barkley as RB6, projecting a bounce-back season under new OC Sean Mannion, with expectations for vintage usage in the passing game and explosive playability.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

PositiveSleeper25:18

Ron Stewart views Tank Bigsby as a disrespected asset with 10-plus touchdown upside as a between-the-tackles grinder; he also serves as Saquon Barkley's handcuff in a high-scoring Eagles offense.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeProjection23:13

Ron Stewart ranks Tony Pollard as RB35, characterizing him as a high-floor, low-ceiling player who has maintained consistent production despite playing on a bottom-five offense.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveValue22:10

Ron Stewart prefers Travis Etienne over Javonte Williams and Kyren Williams as a fourth-round target, noting he projects similarly but is cheaper, plays behind a top-six offensive line, and has upside if Alvin Kamara misses time. Etienne is also highlighted as a successful lead running back in Liam Cohen's system, having finished as a top-24 fantasy player.

Insight page

Tyjae Spears

PositiveRole27:30

Ron Stewart notes Tyjae Spears has week-to-week upside and could potentially beat out Tony Pollard if Pollard's performance declines with age.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

PositiveValue26:40

Ron Stewart labels Tyler Allgeier a locked-and-loaded top-24 running back if Jeremiah Love misses time, making him a strong pick given Love's current ankle injury.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveSleeper27:20

Ron Stewart identifies Woody Marks as a PPR-upside handcuff on the Texans who becomes a great asset if Montgomery misses time.

0:00What's going on, man? Welcome back to the basement. I'm Rod and today we're going to talk through my top 50 running
0:05back rankings and tiers for 2026 fantasy football leagues. I know a lot of you guys have your drafts this upcoming weekend, so why not give you my final
0:12updated set of rankings to go out there and crush your draft with. As always, if you enjoy, leave a like, subscribe if
0:18you're new. We're going to talk through 50 running backs here. We're going to put them in tiers. Of course, this is
0:23going to be for full PPR, and I feel much stronger about the tier breaks than I do the rankings within each tier. In
0:29S+, we are going to put Jamir Gibbs at RB1, Bejon at RB2. You can rank them however you please. I have Gibbs ahead
0:36as a running back in a better offense in Detroit. And then also Isaiah Pacheco, the running back behind him is banged up
0:43at this point, but they are both running backs in their prime coming off 20 plus point per game seasons. They are the 101
0:49and the 102 in fantasy football. Then in a tier, we have Christian McCaffrey.
0:54It's very simple with him. He was the RB1 overall in points per game last year. You could put him in S+ tier, but
1:00he is 30 years old, coming off 450 touches, including his playoff workload.
1:06His entire career has been a yo-yo between RB1 overall in fantasy and catastrophic bust in the first round.
1:13The choice is yours whether or not you want to roll the dice here. Then we have JT at RB4 in S tier as a player that had
1:2123.9 points per game with Daniel Jones last year, just 13.3 in games without him. Of course, Daniel Jones coming off the Achilles tear. How much of a fall
1:31from that 23.9 points per game can we expect? Even with that, if he can be 18, 19, 20 plus points per game on a Colts
1:38offense where I trust Shane Stiken a lot at this point, this offensive line is very good. Jonathan Taylor, I think, is
1:44a no-brainer pick in the first round at running back. He also set a career-high in receptions last year, unlocking maximum upside. Then we have James Cook,
1:54RB5 for the Bills. He was the RB6 in points per game last season. He's in a top five offense with a top five
2:00offensive line. Really, the issue for him is similar to what it's been for JT in the past of can James Cook catch
2:06enough passes to take the next step. RB6 in points per game is amazing, but he's my RB5, so he needs to outdo what he did
2:14last year, and the only way he could is through the receiving game. We are getting reports early on here. This is
2:19from Zayn Deni here, looking at Joe Buskaglia's reporting on the Bills.
2:25Right now, Tai Johnson, the main receiving back, is still getting better from an injury. James Cook could have a bigger role in the receiving game.
2:31There's been different practice reps as it pertains to mixing in running backs and using rotations. There is a steady drum beat that James Cook could get
2:39involved more often in the passing game which would unlock that upside or he could be the RB1 overall in fantasy football. I'm still leaving the door
2:48open for that to happen especially with Shawn McDermott getting fired. Joe Brady goes to the top spot. They could pass the ball more. They could use James Cook
2:56out of the backfield in that respect more often. So there is an upside lever for James Cook. And then even if not, he
3:02has a very high floor at the running back position. Then we go to our A tier of running backs. These are guys that
3:08I'm taking mostly in the second round of your fantasy draft. I would have CD Lamb in full PPR. I would have Justin
3:14Jefferson in full PPR over these players, but I do like a lot of them.
3:18First up at RB6, we have Saquon Barkley.
3:21I could see a big bounce back with him.
3:24This Eagles offense, kind of similar to Christian McCaffrey, they bring in Kell Moore. They were awesome. They win a Super Bowl. Then they bring in Kevin
3:30Patulo. He sucks. He gets fired. Now they bring in Shawn Manion who everyone has high hopes for to be the next OC for
3:36the Eagles that gets the best out of this offense. They even had back in the day uh Shane Stiken and Frank Reich and
3:43they've they've bounced around all these OC's in the past and they kind of yo-yo between which one is good, which one is
3:49bad. If Manion is one of the good ones and this offensive line is healthy and we see Saquon Barkley in the passing
3:55game more in kind of more of a vintage Giants version of Saquon Barkley, which is possible. new OC AJ Brown leaves. All
4:02of that is in front of Saquon Barkley along with the breakaway runs and explosive playability to be a 20 plus point per game scorer. Then we have to
4:12use our imagination a bit with Kenneth Walker as my RB7. I think that he's somebody you're going to add to the list
4:18of Andy Reid running backs between Brian Westbrook, Lehan McCoy, Jamal Charles.
4:23Kenneth Walker is the next workhorse in line to be Andy Reid's toy. It has been four or five years since he had an elite
4:30running back. We're talking Pacheco and Damen Williams and Kareem Hunt. I think this is going to be a guy that the
4:35Chiefs offense flows through while Mahomes is working back from his ACL tear. This is a top 12 offense by Vegas with a top 10 offensive line by
4:45establish the run. Then we have as our RB8 Chase Brown here.
4:50Clear winner from my legendary running back research. I will hopefully remember to link that video here somewhere. But we looked at what matters for running
4:56back ceiling. He has pass catching upside. The Bengals offensive line is better than you would think. And then on top of that, this is going to be a team
5:03that has a lot of points to score. He also had 21 points per game in his games with Joe Burrow. My only concern is that
5:10he is by far the worst talent of any running back on this list so far. And any running back that's going to be in
5:16this A tier. The only running back that I would be pretty confident that it's not quite a better talent play than Chase Brown is Amarian Hampton just
5:26cuz we haven't seen it yet. He got banged up last year. Uh he was really good early on, gets banged up, comes
5:32back, the offensive line is banged up.
5:34He doesn't look very good, but there is massive year two upside. We know running backs going from year one to year two,
5:39this is where they really take off usually. He is a three down Bellcow profile, 221 lbs, 3.6 six receptions per game last year, the seventh most among
5:48running backs. And he was among Derk Henry, Josh Jacobs, and Ashton Genty as the only running backs with 80% or more
5:55of their teams inside the five attempts.
5:57So, we're talking passcatching upside.
5:58We're talking goal line role. We're talking Mike McDaniel on the Chargers now. We're talking an offensive line.
6:03Kian Mitchell is banged up. All roads lead to Amarian Hampton, but he is probably the biggest boom bust pick in a
6:10tier. Uh kind of the opposite of a boom bust pick is Derk Henry. Now, the bust of course is that he is getting up there
6:17in age and he could just be fully submitted to father time, but if not, it's Derrick Henry. He has had 16 plus
6:24points per game in both years with the Ravens going all the way up to 19.8 in that 2024 season. This is going to be a
6:31top five offense attached to Lamar Jackson. They get a new play call and Declan Doyle. And Dererick Henry could just lead the league in touchdowns and
6:37easily finish as a top five running back. In PPR, it's a little bit more sketchy as a guy who doesn't catch
6:42passes, but there has been some whispers that he may get involved more in the screen game this year. Then we have
6:48Devon Achan as my RB11, his issue is purely environmental. And it was a lesson I learned in 2024 is
6:56that as much as we want to go all in on a player's talent at running back, you need the offensive line, you need the environment, you need
7:05the scoring environment. Devon Hen has none of that. This is a bottom five offense. a bottom five offensive line.
7:10And on top of that, Malik Willis is a scrambling quarterback. The same reason that Saquon Barkley hasn't had 90 plus catches since he was a rookie on the
7:18Giants is because he went from Eli Manning to Daniel Jones who scrambled more and then all the way to Jaylen Herz
7:23who scrambles a ton. Same thing seems to be happening for Devon Achan going from Tua to an eightgame sample without Tua
7:30at 2.1 receptions per game. That would be a big downgrade for his receiving ceiling. I think it'll be a little bit
7:34higher than that with Malik Willis, but we're still talking about a quarterback that's going to scramble or just refuse to check the ball down to the running
7:41back. It's a brutal situation in a bad offense, and to me, RB1 sounds about right. Now, I do also want to say our
7:48last running back in this tier is Ashen Genty. This to me is your top 12 hero RB candidates. When we talk about draft
7:57strategy and hero RB or double hero RB, this is it. Once these 12 are off the board, it's time to look elsewhere. Your
8:03second round of your fantasy draft should essentially be you know Jefferson Lamb go at the one-two turn and then it is a race to draft the A tier of running
8:11backs to make almost to make sure that the three and four spot who took Puka and Jamar Chase can't get one of these
8:17running backs here at the 103 or the 104 because that is when you put them in a pickle where then they have to decide
8:22between a second wide receiver, a Brock Bowers, do they pull up a Bree Hall or Jeremiah 11 to the second round. It puts
8:27them in a precarious position. Uh these are the guys to build around in my eyes.
8:31I see the biggest tier break happening from A tier to B tier potentially on this entire list. But with Ash and
8:38Genty, we're starting to get some positive news here. This is from Jeff Mueller. We'd love to see a video of how
8:43Ashen Genty is moving, but still feel better about Genty than Jeremiah Love, two guys who have had ankle injuries this off seasonason. We have an underdog
8:50report that the Raiders are optimistic about Ashton Genty playing in week one.
8:53We have David Chow here, Pro Football Doc, saying that he thinks Genty plays week one. So, I would say in this
8:59current moment, I have felt the most positive about Genty since the injury happened. As you guys know, I was very negative. But I will say all of the
9:07running backs ahead of him are healthy and ready to roll for week one. So, by default, I'd rather just put Genty at
9:12the end of this tier, but he is still a tier ahead of the B tier of running backs on this list. Moving us to the B
9:21tier. These are guys that I'd really prefer to take in the third round of drafts. We have Jeremiah Love also banged up like Ashton Genty. As you saw
9:28from Ash or from Jeff Mueller here, a little bit more pessimistic as it pertains to Jeremiah Love versus Ashton Genty. He did have a high ankle sprain
9:36from a hip drop tackle in a preseason game. But in that preseason game, the usage was amazing. We've seen every running back drafted in the top 12 of
9:43the NFL drafts. And Trent Richardson has put up 14 points per game or higher.
9:47That would have been the RB14 last year.
9:49Jeremiah Love is my RB13. It feels like this is more towards his floor than his ceiling. He's somebody that from week
9:55seven on could be the RB7 in points per game and be a real league winner. He is a special talent. He's attached to Mike
10:01Laflur who of course when he was the Jets offense coordinator had Bree Hall as the RB6 in points per game before
10:07Bree Hall tore his ACL that season. Then at RB14 we have Bree Hall. And to me, these are the last two running backs I'm
10:16taking in the third round. It is Jeremiah Love. It's Bree Hall. If I can get neither of them, I'm taking the wide
10:21receivers here, right? I'm taking Chris Lave, Devonte Smith, I'm taking uh Josh Allen, I'm taking all of those guys once Jeremiah Love and Bree Hall are off the
10:30board. Bree Hall, of course, gets drafted in 2022. Since then, it's been the same story. The Jets offense has been terrible. They have been 31st in
10:38EPA per play over that span. Even still, he has averaged 15.3 points per game over his entire career. That would have
10:44been the RB1 last year. He's my RB14.
10:46He's drafted as the RB1 15. You're drafting him at his floor. Gino Smith is going to give him a lot more checkdowns
10:51than he had last season. This is a better offensive line as well with Fanu and Meu going into their second season.
10:57There has been a big upgrade in situation. Say whatever you want about the Jets, but last year it was unplayable. It was Justin Fields. It was
11:03Tyrod Taylor. It was Brady Cook. It was under 3,000 passing yards. It was the lowest passing yardage team, the lowest passing touchdown team. Why that matters
11:11for a running back is Breeze Hall's superpower is in the receiving game. I think that they're going to get back to
11:16that in 2026. Then we have two guys that I'm not super enthused to take in the third round of your fantasy drafts. I
11:25would rather just wait until the fourth round here. In the third round, I'm just going to take the run the wide receivers
11:30who fall. I've seen Malik Neighbors go to the mid third round. I've seen Chris Olive, Nico Collins all fall to the
11:36third round. Devonte Smith, all of these guys I prefer over Javvante or Kairen.
11:40guys that I think you're drafting essentially to hit a single. They are what some people in the fantasy space would call small hits, big misses, where
11:51you're drafting a 15 point per game scorer in the third round. There isn't really much ceiling for either of them to outproduce that and you are passing
11:58on league winners at wide receiver.
12:00You're passing on Josh Allen who has been a monster pick each of the last five seasons. For me, it's just not how
12:07I'm playing fantasy drafts this year.
12:09One of the reasons why is Javvante in particular was somebody that had point4 yards per out run. 57th among 59 qualifying running backs. This is a
12:17study from JJ Zachares last year where he looked at a running back's yards per out run and then how often they
12:23outperformed their expected points per game relative to their draft position.
12:27Everyone under.7 yards per run rarely ever exceeded their draft position. I think that Javvante is a high floor low ceiling play which I suppose is fine.
12:36It's just not how I play fantasy football, which also opens this thing up to this is not a ranking of how I think
12:41things are going to finish at the end of the year. I'm not interested in ranking the RB16 to then finish as the RB16.
12:47This is a ranking of how I would be drafting these players off the board as we are hunting for upside and league
12:52winners. Uh, so you'll see me instead of ranking like a high floor play of Justice Hill is probably the favorite to
13:00outscore Jonah Coleman, but I'd rather the rookie upside who could emerge down the stretch is essentially what I'm saying here. Uh, then we will talk about
13:08Kairen Williams. 21 points per game as a second year player, then 17, then 15.5.
13:14How much further does this fall? He's never had more than 40 plus catches in a given season. Will Blake Cororm actually
13:19be the 1A? I I don't buy that completely, but I think it's going to be enough of a split so that Kairen's like
13:2414 points per game, 13 points per game isn't a big hit when you take him in the third round. It ends up being a little
13:30bit frustrating. Uh a player that I'd rather have is Travis Etien in the fourth round who projects pretty much the same as Javvante and Kairen as a
13:37high floor middling RB2. Uh really profiles that I'm not super interested in, but if I was to take one, it would
13:42be ETN. He's cheaper. He projects the same. The Saints have the sixth best offensive line. Kamar is banged up early in the season. There are paths to upside
13:50for ETN, which then brings us to Ctier here. Now, before we get into the C tier of running backs here, I do want to let
13:56you guys know my entire top 200 rankings can be found on the basementdraftguide.com. You get my tiered top 200 for PPR, half PPR,
14:03superflex. You get my notes, sleepers, targets, fades, the whole nine yards.
14:09You can sync it up to your sleeper leagues as well, so that as the draft happens, it is crossing off players for
14:13you automatically. All of that is in the basementdraftguide.com. you can find in the description and the comment section down below. With that being said, let's
14:20get into the C tier of running backs and we will talk about DeAndre Swift, who is actually, as I recorded this video and
14:28pressed, you know, the button to go live here. Uh, he leaves practice early with an injury.
14:35I'm going to wait for the facts to come out before I bury him in the rankings.
14:39It seems like it might not be that big of a deal, but I will say it is something 100% to monitor for now. I
14:44like Swift at the high end of this tier of RB2s. He's projected for 15 plus touches per game in a top five offense.
14:51I think that there's really not much of a difference between Swift and a guy like ETN or Kairen or Dvonte. He is
14:56going to be the lead back on a good offense. He has been the RB16 in points per game last year. RB21, RB24, RB5,
15:02RB8, and RB15 over his entire career. He continues to finish as an RB2, but I think he does have upside for more with
15:09Manungai banged up, but we do need to see that Swift is ready to roll here. Uh then we have Cam Scatabo, a guy who
15:15crushed our dead zone running back research. He is a year 2 running back where we see a big leap in points per
15:20game from rookie to sophomore. He is someone that gets the passing downs and the goal line work. He had 16 points per
15:27game last year which would have been a top 12 number and that's including the two weeks where he wasn't even a starter
15:32and then including the week where he dislocates his ankle. He was really more like when he was the full-time player like a 20 point per game player. The
15:39injury risk is banked in at this price or baked in at this price. the Naji signing is banked in at this price. Cam
15:46Scatabo a guy who I am targeting at that four five turn similar to Bucky Irving as well once the wide receiver tier of
15:54like I guess say like Garrett Wilson Jaylen Wadd through your Ted McMillan Ibuka T Higgins Luther Burden I can't remember if I
16:02mentioned Luther Burden once they're wiped out I'm fine taking these running backs in Ctier Bucky Irving is on an offense that has the third ranked
16:09offensive line by established the run after getting ravaged by injuries last year not only to the offensive line but to Bucky Irving Mike Evans, Amecha
16:16Ibuka, Chris Godwin, Baker Mayfield, the whole offense was a just an absolute disaster. And now in 2026, they're all healthy. Zack Robinson is calling plays.
16:26I think Bucky Irving is trending up after finishing as the RB19 and the RB17 in points per game the last two seasons.
16:32Of course, he wasn't healthy last year, but RB20 is drafting him honestly at his floor and somebody that I keep on
16:38targeting down the stretch of draft season here. Then we have Basil 2. And at RB21, Liam Cohen's last two lead running backs have been Bucky Irving and
16:47Travis Tienne. Two guys who have finished his top 24 running backs. Tuton is a year 2 running back with upside and
16:53a good offense. But there is some shaky downside if Chris Rodriguez can seize a role here. Then we have Jadarian Price
17:00at RB22.
17:02He continues to trend up here. Zack Shary officially put on the PUP. He will he will miss at least the first four
17:08games. This is a team that is top 10 in implied points by Vegas, top 10 in established runs offensive line rankings. They're going to be a defense
17:16first run the ball team. Now, of course, George Hani is there and that could make things messy where Helani is taking the
17:24passing work and there could be a goal line split. I just want to bet on the talent and figure out the rest later. I
17:29think that he has a runway here to prove that he has a special talent in week one. And then whenever Charban comes
17:35back, there's a chance that Charban is not the same guy off of the ACL tear.
17:38And there's a chance that Javarian Price, a mystery box of a prospect, completely breaks out as a stud and a player to build around when it comes to
17:45the running game in this offense. This is a player who was a first round pick.
17:50He is impossible to evaluate because he was sharing a backfield to Jeremiah Love. Even with that, he somehow managed to get over 700 yards from scrimmage,
17:57over 10 touchdowns in his final year next to Jeremiah Love. He led the class in explosive run rate. He is a special
18:02kick returner. He is just a monster with the ball in his hands. I think there's untapped receiving upside as well.
18:07Jadarian Price is the perfect upside swing in the middle rounds. Then we have Quinn Shawn Judkins, a player that I loved coming out of school, year two
18:14upside, but I am just a bit squeamish when it comes to a lead running back coming off a really tough ankle injury
18:23that is now going to be on a Browns team that is bottom five in offensive line play, bottom five in scoring, and he's
18:30not a pass catcher. He is going to be off the field on passing downs for Dylan Samson. And that makes him a really
18:36tough bet as the between the tackles grinder on a bad team. Similar deal with David Montgomery. Woody Marks caps his ceiling in the same way that Dylan
18:44Samson caps Judkins ceiling. This is a bad offensive line. Uh the Texans are a little bit better of a team, but we're
18:50talking about an aging veteran who has declined each of the last three years in points per game despite being next to
18:54Jamir Gibbs. David Montgomery is the perfect dead zone running back profile.
19:00Then we get to Etier. And these are guys more that you're taking swings on in like round six as fun upside RB2s and
19:07honestly hero RB builds. We'll talk about both of the Patriots running backs here. We have Henderson as the RB25. We have Raandre as the RB26.
19:18Take your pick. Uh I prefer Henderson as the year 2 running back with upside. He has juice. He has pass catching ability.
19:24But Raandre has been the steady downto-down runner. I think it kind of depends on what you're looking for. If you're drafting your first running back
19:30in like a zero RB build, I think Raandre's floor makes a lot of sense, but I think in most other scenarios,
19:36Henderson ceiling makes a lot of sense as well. Then we have the man of the week, Marshon Lloyd, at RB27.
19:45He is a really tough one. It's really tough to parse through this Josh Jacobs situation. He's on the commissioner exempt list, which means
19:53he could have anywhere from five games missed to 15. He has a court date in mid November. He has a potential video out
20:01there when it comes to whatever dispute this was off the field. There is a lot up in the air, but for right now,
20:09Marshon Lloyd is the lead back for a Packers team that always scores points under Matt Laflur, who always has had a
20:18good fantasy running back, whether that's Aaron Jones or whether that is Josh Jacobs. Marshon Lloyd is a mystery boxer. Someone that was a fun round
20:26three prospect but has been banged up his entire career. And it's a similar story for Jonathan Brooks, a guy who has
20:33now torn his ACL twice. He is a blackbox upside mystery box style pick, but he does have receiving upside. He has juice
20:41and he could just be the lead back for the Panthers. Then we'll talk about the Steelers running backs here. Uh I have
20:48them back toback. I have Warren RB29. I have Rico Dado, RB30. I like both of these guys. I just end up drafting Rico
20:54Do more since he's cheaper and I have them backto back. But the Steelers had two top 24 running backs in points per
21:00game last year. They trade away Caleb Johnson. It's going to be one of these two running backs on every single down
21:05that they play on offense. Warren has 60 plus catch upside attached to Aaron Rogers. Battle's coming off of two back-to-back top 24 point per game
21:13seasons. He also has monster spike week potential where he has seven RB1 finishes over the last two seasons. He has two 30 plus PPR point games, three
21:2120 plus PPR point games. He also has two games of 200 plus scrimmage yards last year. He is an absolute beast. We'll
21:28see. He has the uh familiarity with McCarthy. Warren has the familiarity with Aaron Rogers. Then we get to our E tier. This is your ambiguous backfield,
21:37messy backfield style plays. We have R.J. Harvey up first. My RB31. He was a top 24 running back last year. Year two
21:45running backs usually progress. He's an amazing receiving back. He's attached to Shawn Peyton and Boone Knicks. Shawn Peyton once upon a time had Darren
21:52Sprouls as the RB7 in points per game. I want to bet on the guy he handpicked in the second round last off season. Then
21:58we have and also behind the league's best offensive line. Then we have Blake Cororm, who for me is impossible to rank. I I I would never really feel good
22:06about putting him in my lineup as an RB2 or a flex play. He is the most premium handcuff in the NFL, but there is also a
22:12chance that he just overtakes Kairen Williams in the league's best offense.
22:16So, he is somebody that's really tough to rank. Then we have Bill Crosky Merritt, a running back I've really come around on as a year 2 breakout
22:22candidate. He was awesome last year as a seventh round rookie. He led Washington in touches, yards from scrimmage, touchdowns. He was top 20 in yards per
22:31carry, success rate, uh, explosive run rate as well. The biggest issue for him is lack of receiving upside. He had just
22:37nine catches last year, but the early reports out of camp is that he is going to seize a passing down role on this
22:43team. And then, of course, the offense should be better. Jaden Daniels is actually healthy this year. David Blau, the new offensive play caller, has a lot
22:49of optimism here. And then yes, the offensive line is banged up without Laramie Tonsel, but they are still ranked 22nd by established the run. Then
22:57we'll talk about JK Dobbins here at RB34. He could be the lead back over RJ Harvey on a good offense with a good
23:04offensive line. We saw last year he was a top 24 running back in points per game before injury, but of course before
23:09injury is the story with JK Dobbins.
23:13Then at RB35, we have Tony Pard. Super steady runner, but he's on the Tennessee Titans, a bottom five offense with a
23:20bottom five offensive line, but he does have four straight top 30 running back point per game finishes. Four straight 10,000 yard
23:28seasons. He has Brian Dable who comes in here. This offense has a little bit of upside. Uh, but he is a high floor low
23:34ceiling pick similar to Chuba Hubard who is starting to get healthy here. He seems to be just as much in play for
23:39week one as Jonathan Brooks. He is the uh guy who has the seniority. He's been there longer, but he was usurped by Rico
23:46Dao last year. His efficiency fell way down last year, and he is heading into the season with an injury already. I at
23:53least expect him to get taken off the field in passing situations for Jonathan Brooks. So, you're talking about the between the tackles grinder on a bad
23:59team similar to Tony Pard. Then we have Kenneth Gwald, the receiving down back on what I expect to be a pretty damn
24:05good offense. He is interesting. He had 70 plus catches last year. He had the third most guarantees of any running back in free agency this cycle and he
24:12was also top 15 last year in yards per carry, success rate, explosive run rate, and miss tackles force per attempt. It
24:17just comes down to how much of a role can he carve out next to Bucky Irving.
24:22Then we have Jordan Mason drawing live to be the lead back for the Vikings, which should have a bounceback this season in terms of their offensive
24:30output. Then we have Kyle Manungai.
24:32Someone who is banged up currently and becomes our first running back in F tier here. Or actually, no, no, no. We're
24:39going to go Rashad White here as our RB40. Let me scratch that off the list.
24:43Uh he is with Bill Crosky Merritt, of course. He has passcatching upside. He is to me a less talented runner than
24:50Bill, but if Bill is just kind of a nothing burger, Rashad White could be the three down workhorse for a much
24:55improved offense. Then we have Kyle Manonga. Someone who's still banged up, but he is similar to Blake Cororm as a high upside handcuff on a high-powered
25:03offense. This tier is a lot of kind of nastiness. You have to hold your nose and make these picks. But Chris
25:10Rodriguez so far, we stream drafts every single night. He is my most drafted running back so far. It's not even because I like him that much. Like I
25:18still love Basil Tuan. He just gets kind of disrespected here as a player who could just be the between the tackles
25:24grinder on a good offense with the Jaguars. Uh I do think the upside scenario is similar to your Jamal Williams in Detroit, similar to
25:34the Gus Edwards in Baltimore year where he could just have 10 plus touchdowns and fall in the end zone in this
25:40offense. Then we have our RB42 Mike Washington Jr. He was much higher for a second here when we thought Ashen Genty
25:47was going to get put on IR. That hasn't happened. But if Genty misses time or if Genty sort of cracks the door open if
25:53he's inefficient off of the ankle injury. Mike Washington is a 220 plus pound back with 43 speed. He is a fun
26:00player. Then we have Jonah Coleman.
26:01Another fun upside rookie. Less of a I guess a handcuff to JK Dobbins is what the reports seem like that if Dobbins
26:07went down, Coleman replaces him more than Harvey absorbing his role. We'll see if that happens in reality. But Jonah Coleman was a very strong day
26:16three pick and he is going to be in a Broncos offense that always has a lot of fantasy points to the running back
26:21position. Then we have Aaron Jones, someone who's drawing live to just straight up beat out Jordan Mason in a much improved Vikings offense here. He
26:29has pass catching upside. He has seniority. Uh he's probably dust, but could he find one more year of Magic? We shall see. Tyler Agir. Uh Jeremiah
26:37Love's handcuff, but if Jeremiah Love misses any time, Tyler Alier is a locked and loaded top 24 running back in any
26:42given week. Jeremiah Love already dealing with an ankle injury. Tyler Aier a very strong pick in this range. Uh then we have Emtt Johnson, who I moved
26:49way up the rankings after this week of 53man roster cutdowns. We had Amari D.
26:54Marcato getting cut, which means Emma Johnson is the direct handcuff to Kenneth Walker. And that's a big deal in this Chief's offense. We have seen
27:01Kareem Hunt, Pacheco, Damen Williams, Derell Williams. All these guys be usable running backs in fantasy. That could be Emma Johnson at
27:09any point in time this year. Then we have Woody Marks, the PPR upside back on the Texans. If Montgomery ever goes
27:16down, he is a great handcuff. This is kind of just a tier of handcuffs and backup running backs. We of course have
27:21Tai Spears, someone who once upon a time was the RB5 in PPR points for the fantasy playoffs of 2024. a very weird
27:30niche reference, but he is someone that has upside on a week-to-eek basis and he could just straight up beat out Tony
27:35Pard if Pard isn't the same runner as he gets older. But still, we're talking about the Tennessee Titans. Then we have
27:41Katon Mitchell. He'd be much higher and probably in this tier for me, but he is dealing with an injury that we really
27:46can't get any clarity on right now. So, I'm not sure if he's going to start the year playing in week one or kind of how
27:51his role emerges, but he is a fun, explosive passcatching back for the Chargers. And I want pieces of this Mike McDaniel offense. And then our last
27:58running back on this list is Tank Bsby.
28:01He is Saquon Barkley's handcuff and that should mean something in an Eagles offense that is always going to have points to go around. But that is going
28:10to do it for us today. Feel free to screenshot this, use it in your draft.
