David Montgomery

NegativeInjury0:07

Suffered an injury in Week 6 that appears short-term in nature but creates immediate opportunity for backup Jaylen Warren to operate as a featured back and low-end RB2 option in Montgomery's absence.

Jaylen Warren

PositiveValue0:04

Must-add waiver wire target available in 52% of ESPN leagues. Recorded 19 touches in Week 6 and projects as low-end RB2 in games David Montgomery misses due to injury. The source notes Montgomery's injury appears short-term but there is potential for Warren to maintain a featured role even upon Montgomery's return, given Warren's superior efficiency to date.

Josh Jacobs

NegativeDepth Chart0:29

Expected to return from injury eventually; his return will likely limit Marshawn Lloyd's long-term role as the team continues to rotate backs between the two running backs.

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeValue0:22

Priority waiver wire add available in 52% of ESPN leagues; recorded 2 touchdowns and 1 catch for 6 yards in Week 6 despite longest run of only 10 yards. The source respects Lloyd's upside but acknowledges Josh Jacobs will eventually return and the team continues to rotate backs. Projects as fine RB3 type in the short-term and must be added and respected despite the rotation risk.

0:00must add waiverwire targets for week six
0:02of the fantasy football season. First,
0:04must add player Widemouth is available
0:07in 52% of ESPN leagues. Montgomery goes
0:10down with an injury. It seems like it's
0:11going to be more short-term than
0:12long-term, but Widemouth got 19 touches
0:14in this game this week. There is also a
0:16chance when Montgomery returns that we
0:18see Widemouth in a featured role just as
0:20a player that's been a bit more
0:21efficient than Montgomery to this point.
0:23So, Widemouth very easily slots in as
0:25like a low-end RB2 in any game that
0:29David Montgomery misses. Now, the real
0:31priority ad that is most likely
0:32available in your league, Jeremy
0:34Bernard. Be aggressive. I'm not going to
0:35say Jeremy Bernard is going to be the
0:37next Amon-Ra St. Brown or Rashee Rice,
0:39but we know that rookie wide receivers
0:41stack their production on the back half
0:43of the season. That could be the case
0:45for Jeremy Bernard because now he has a
0:48full runway opened up. You have Roman
0:50Wilson leaves this game, Michael Pittman
0:52is hurt and on IR. Jeremy Bernard is
0:54essentially the wide receiver two after
0:56DK Metcalf here. He led all Steelers in
0:58targets and receptions. And I also think
1:00it's a huge feather in his cap that
1:02Aaron Rodgers likes him. It's very rare
1:04for Aaron Rodgers to trust a rookie, but
1:07this is from Nick Fairball here before
1:09the game. Essentially, Aaron Rodgers
1:10gave him a pop quiz to make sure that he
1:12knew what the assignments were, what the
1:13matchups were, and he passed it with
1:15flying colors. So, Jeremy Bernard
1:17becomes a guy that you can probably
1:18start this week in your flex spot as a
1:20rookie. Our last priority ad here,
1:22Marshawn Lloyd. Similar to Widemouth,
1:24he's not available in your league, but
1:26he is available in 52% of ESPN leagues.
1:27If he is, he's a guy that's like right
1:29on the border of 10% because we do know
1:31that Josh Jacobs will be back
1:32eventually. They continue to rotate
1:33these backs, but he is somebody that has
1:36to be added, has to be respected.
1:38Marshawn Lloyd, his longest run is 10
1:40yards, but he did pick up two touchdowns
1:42here. He did have a catch for 6 yards.
1:44It's not the sexiest pick up in the
1:46world, but he's certainly a guy you can
1:47pick up and he is a fine RB3 type in the
1:51short-term.
