0:58the drill. One of my favorite videos we do every single week with my favorite portion of that video, the rookie receiver report. Again, the reason we do
1:07this, we track every single receiver, what their route share is from week one to week two and then just week over week
1:12from here on out is to look at are these players getting more playing time.
1:16Anything over 85% of the routes means that you are a starting wide receiver on pass plays. We also have points per
1:23game. What is your production to this point? You also have targets per out run. On a per out basis, are you
1:28commanding volume? Anything over a 20% targets per out run is an elite number.
1:32Yards per out run. Are you being efficient and effective on this usage?
1:37Two plus yards per out run is what we're looking for. First downs per out run, that is, are you not only being
1:42efficient and earning volume, but are you moving the chains and helping your offense score points, get EPA, sustain drives, all of that good stuff. Anything
1:50over 10% is an elite number. And then PFF grade. Say whatever you want about PFF, but dating back to like the early
1:562010s, we have a lot of data that if you can hit an 80 plus PFF grid as a rookie, you are usually going to pan out as one
2:02of these superstars in the NFL. And that brings us here after week two, we have sorted every rookie wide receiver and
2:10tight end to run 15 or more routes and sorted them by route share. You'll see at the top here, the only wide receiver
2:16or tight end with a 90% plus route share is Denzel Boston. To me, Denzel Boston is the most real rookie receiver as of
2:25right now. Real being he's out there on 90% plus of the routes. He leads all rookies with 154 receiving yards so far.
2:33He has a 46-yd touchdown he caught in the back of the end zone in week one.
2:37Then in week two, he follows it up with a 55 yard touchdown. This time he gets 42 yards after the catch. That is plus
2:4440 yards after the catch over expectation. So he not only can win deep with uh really high A dot stuff, but he
2:52can also win underneath and then take it to the house. So Denzel Boston looks really good. Now I will say, of course,
2:57when you have two plays here, one for 46 yards, one for 55 yards, and you only have 154 receiving yards total, that
3:03means about 65 to 70% of his total production has come on two separate plays. But that's better than nothing. And then
3:11also, I think the 17.5% targets per out run and the 7.9% first downs per out run. While neither of those numbers are
3:18elite, they do still point to an every down player that is still producing at wide receiver. And we like the splash
3:23plays. There's no reason to hold that against him. I wouldn't go crazy about Denzel Boston. It's still the Cleveland Browns. Did Deshun Watson look okay? He
3:30certainly did, but I wouldn't go crazy.
3:32I wouldn't look at 17.2 points per game and be like, "This guy has to get in my lineup." But this is now somebody that
3:37is going to stay on your bench for the rest of the season. I I would not give up Denzel Boss. maybe in a trade, sure,
3:41but we are not dropping Denzel Boston.
3:43He has massive upside over the entire season. I think even as of right now, he is a fine boom bust flex play. Now,
3:49somebody else in this exact offense, his teammate is Casey Conpsion. This is why we do the rookie receiver report. He goes from 65% of the routes to 74%.
3:58Small climb, but he jumps Jerry Judy in route share. Jerry Judy had more routes than him in week one. Now, Conpsion
4:04jumps him on top of that. Judy gets a 3% target share in this game, whereas Conpion leads this entire list in
4:12targets per route run at 21.7%. He is a target earner, but he's not super efficient as of right now because his
4:18AOT is 3.9 yards. We need that to be a little bit further downfield, but I think that that is coming for him. I
4:24would say he's had five plus targets in both games. That's amazing for Conpsion, but we just need better quality targets.
4:31We need these coming around the first down marker. I think he's going to work his way there. And then we also need
4:36this route share number to jump to about 90% plus to feel comfortable starting him. But he is one of the best rookie
4:42stashes in the entire league. I would still give Conpsion a slight nod over Denzel Boston because I would prefer a high target uh low efficiency player to
4:52a high efficiency low target player when it comes to the Browns offense. An offense that isn't going to score or move the ball all that much. But they're
4:59both really strong holds, stashes, whatever you want to call them moving forward. Then we have Jeremy Bernard. we can talk about makes his debut. He goes
5:07from 7% of the routes to 85%. He jumps up to a starting wide receiver spot with Michael Pitman hurt. He jumps
5:14immediately over Roman Wilson, which is nice. 19% targets per out run is nice.
5:18He gets eight targets from Aaron Rodgers in essentially his first start in the NFL. That's amazing. Aaron Rogers is a guy notoriously who hates rookie wide
5:26receivers. The issue is that he only had 83 yards per outr run, 4.8% 8% first downs per out run and he bobbled a
5:35screen pass that turned into an interception on Rogers stat sheet.
5:38Rogers notoriously a guy who will send a rookie to the doghouse. So the good is Bernard got on the field and earned
5:44targets. The bad is he didn't really produce with them and then he also costed Aaron Rogers an interception.
5:49Jeremy Bernard's a fine stash here in deep leagues, but keep an eye out for what happens next week. Keep an eye out
5:55for what happens with Michael Pitman.
5:56But Jeremy Bernard some up, some down in essentially his debut in the NFL. Uh then Carnell Tate, it's just tough sledding in this offense. Cam Ward uh is
6:06leading a Titans passing game that is one of just three teams with 150 passing yards or less per game through two
6:12weeks. So essentially, there are three teams with 300 passing yards or less that have played two games already. The Titans are one of them. So Carninal Tate
6:20has been commanding a lot of volume. He had a 29% target share in this game.
6:2419.6% targets per out run is the third highest on this list. All of that is good and well. It's just not enough
6:30volume in terms of overall pass volume from Cam Ward. And it's also just not enough efficiency. 1.16 yards per out run, 3.6% first downs per run aren't
6:39going to cut it. When we're dealing with the Titans who got boat raced by the Jets to the tune of only having like 40
6:45or so offensive plays, the efficiency stuff is going to be a little bit more small sample. I'm a little more bullish
6:52on Carnel just the fact that he is commanding volume. His ADOT as well is like 9 to 10 yards, which is nice to
6:57see. Uh for a guy that lot a lot of people thought he was only a deep threat, somebody who would only get
7:02used, you know, maybe a 14 plus 15 plus yard AD. Think of like Alec Pierce. He's being used at all levels of the field,
7:09but it's just it's not a good enough passing offense to get there. No one is really scoring points for this Titans
7:15offense in fantasy football. Tate purely a stash at this point. Uh then we have the Miami receivers. We have Caleb Douglas. We have Kevin Coleman and we
7:24have Chris Bell. Uh, everything came crashing down here. Caleb Douglas, after an awesome week one, gives you three targets, two catches, 19 yards. I'm
7:31still holding strong on him. He's still a stash. I'm not moving him. Uh, I I wouldn't call a 4% decrease in route
7:37share, a real decrease. He's still just around like an 80 85% route share player. That's fine. Uh, target sprout run a little bit low here, but still
7:44efficient. Still moving the chain. Still a 70 plus PFF grade. I still like Caleb Douglas. It's just it's a Malik Willis
7:49offense. Uh, I'll also say Malik Washington was the only Dolphins receiver to have a 15% or higher target share. It's very spread out. I want to
7:56say Ryan Miller, a name that I haven't seen in forever, caught like a deep uh 40 plus yard pass. There's a lot of
8:02garbage time in this game as well. Uh Chris Bell, I will say this one is spooky and it's kind of up
8:10to you how you feel about Chris Bell here because he's coming off an ACL tear. Is there a chance that he's just
8:16not himself? they move him from 54% of the route to essentially a 15% decrease in route share. That's never what you
8:22want to see for a rookie receiver. We want to see up go up, right? We want to see increases, right? Where it goes 50%
8:27to 60% 70% 80%. So, him getting scaled back and then also having some of the worst perometrics and then also the
8:34worst PFF grade here. Chris Bell, there's no other way to put it. He's struggling. It's up to you if you want
8:38to say, well, this guy was never that great of a rookie wide receiver prospect and he's probably not a good player in
8:43the NFL. Or if you want to say a little more measured, only a second career game coming off a ACL tear. Maybe they just
8:50want to scale him back and do more of a gentle ramp up here. But either way, Chris Bell, I'll be honest, is droppable
8:57in most formats despite all of the hype before the season. And then Kevin Coleman, I will not acknowledge until he registers a reception. And he has not
9:06done that yet, despite running a lot of routes. He's essentially just doing cardio for this team. Kevin Coleman I I wouldn't really waste any breath on.
9:13Then we have Mai Lemon here.
9:16Similar to Jeremy Bernard, we have some good, we have some bad. The good for Mai Lemon, 79% of the routes is still a lot,
9:21right? Small decrease, but I wouldn't really call that a decrease. That's just, you know, uh, variance week to week. He had a 14 yard AOT, which is
9:29great. In week one, he was this gadget player with an AOT of like minus.5.
9:36So, that's all good. The issue is that on this many routes and actually I'll say as well 70% of the routes he ran
9:42more routes than Dantavon Wixs but he's now been outproduced by Dontavon Wix in backtoback weeks. Mai Lemon his only catch was one for 14 yards. It was a
9:50first down which is great but his per out numbers across the board are awful.
9:54We're talking under 10% targets per out run under, you know, we're talking.14 yards per out run. That is terrible. All of these are really concerning. I still
10:03think longterm Mai Lemon's a strong wide receiver prospect. There is still hope.
10:06I wouldn't pull the plug after two weeks, but when we see 85% the 79% and then Danteon Wix is playing better. And
10:13then even this Darius Cooper guy who we do the rookie receiver report. I know all of the rookies every single year. I
10:19have never in my life heard of Darius Cooper. Uh he scores I believe the game winner in this game and now he might be
10:25even interesting in this wide receiver rotation. I will say Dallas Goddard getting hurt is definitely interesting for Mai Lemon. I suppose it's
10:32interesting for Eli Stoers if you're still holding out a candle for Eli Stoers in 2026. I think beyond that he'll be fine. But Mai Lemon, you're
10:41stashing him, but it's not going well.
10:42You want the pro out numbers to look better. Uh you want him even when he's running more routes than Davon Wixs to
10:47do better than Davon Wix. That's not happening so far. Uh then we have Antonio Williams. This is why we do this
10:5329% of the routes to 55% of the routes.
10:55We could have 100% predicted that just based on how good he was at the end of the Washington versus Eagles game. All
11:02of his perout numbers are still holding strong though. He did definitely have a dip in production. Only three targets on 23 routes. I wouldn't go crazy with all
11:10this green, but he's still showing a lot of promise and someone that I really wouldn't think of much different than a
11:16Mai Lemon just through the lens of 2026.
11:19Uh Antonio Williams versus Mai Lemon.
11:21Antonio Williams, of course, loses Jaden Daniels in this game, which is brutal.
11:25Uh, at the time that I'm recording this video, we don't really have any clarity on Jaden Daniels. It seems like it could
11:30be anywhere from a 4-week absence. You know, I I'll do a a little Google search here while we're recording. It seems
11:38like it could be a four-week absence. It seems like it could be a uh rest of season thing. Actually, SHF has a tweet
11:43on it. It sounds like a similar timeline to last year, but they're going through this right now with all medical professionals. So yeah, anywhere from
11:49four weeks to the entire season. No bueno. Another game here where Diami Brown just ran far too many routes. Uh and then also Trayon Burks got it on the
11:57fun this week. I think that those are going to get really scaled down here with Antonio Williams looking good. He also had Antonio Williams, a rookie in
12:03his second game ever, enough trust to get a trick play where he then threw a touchdown to what should have been a
12:08Terry McLaren uh touchdown just like off by like a millisecond. You could call it a McLaren drop. You could call it a bad
12:14pass by Williams. Apparently, this is in his bag back to Clemson. But just a funny note uh to give a rookie uh the
12:20green light on, hey, you know, we're in the red zone. We're going to give you kind of this like toss and then you're
12:24going to throw the pass to Terry McLaren. It almost worked though. Uh then I'll talk about kind of the grabag of the rest of these guys. Eli Rarden
12:31makes an awesome catch in this game. AJ Brown hurt. We really wanted to see this route share go from 24% to like 40%
12:39without AJ Brown. We did see Hunter Henry go from 60% to 80%, but it would have been nice to see Eli Raren get up
12:44there as well. His pro numbers are great, but we're talking like super super small sample. At least he's making plays when he's on the field, but for
12:50right now, he's very much a part-time raw tight end. I'll say Ted Hurst, his per out metrics took a boost this week.
12:57He actually had the highest target share among all Buccaneers wide receivers between him. Uh you had achabuka, you had Chris Godwin, even TZ Johnson and
13:05Jaylen McMillan got in the mix, which actually kind of hurt Ted Hurst going from 83% of the routes to 63% of the
13:11routes, but 20% plus target on a 23 yard AOT is pretty interesting. But these efficiency metrics aren't going to cut it. But like
13:18a 18% target per run as a perimeter field stretcher, that's a pretty good outcome for Ted Hurst, this very raw third round prospect coming out of
13:26Georgia State. I don't know that in a managed league, I'm holding my breath on him. Uh, I'll say as a Jets fan, this
13:32Kenyan Sadique role is really, really disappointing. Uh, no Omar Cooper in this game. So, of course, you got to give Isaiah Williams, the UDFA kick
13:40returner who sucks. uh 80% of the routes, six targets for a minus.5 A dot.
13:46Meaning that this Isaiah Williams guy that uses like a gimmick screen player when he just isn't a good NFL wide receiver, whereas Kenyan Sadi, a human
13:56bowling ball that they gave a screen in week one that they let have an endound handoff where he reached 20 miles per
14:02hour on a goal line carry.
14:04There's just no reason that this stays the same two weeks in a row. This this should have been 60% plus. But here we
14:11are. I I do think and what we kind of get into with these takeaway videos is a coach makes a decision and if they lose
14:18a game where things don't go well, I wouldn't expect that to stick. So I'll say right here, I would be stunned if
14:24this Kenyan Sadi route share stays under 50%. Isaiah Williams route share stays over 80% and that Isaiah Williams out targets Kenyon Sadique for a second week
14:33in a row. I would not bet on that to happen. Uh, and then I'll say as well, someone that's not on this list that is
14:41pretty concerning, Elijah Serat. We have no Z Flowers, no Jacobe Lane, and we had dudes like Lejante Wester and Chris
14:51Moore and Devontes Walker getting snaps over Elijah Serat.
14:57He's a guy that you're praying for when it comes to Dynasty. In reraft, Elijah Serat is droppable everywhere. Now, moving on from that, we get to the rest
15:05of this video where I talk about uh the 10 takeaways, right? So, that is kind of like one takeaway. I'll be honest,
15:10spoiler alert, we have 12 takeaways here. Um, but second takeaway is Chicago Bears panic meter. By far the number one question I get asked in the Discord, I
15:20get asked by my little brother this morning upon waking up is what's going on with the Chicago Bears? First and foremost, you have Caleb Williams. what
15:28I thought was like maybe an ACL tear.
15:31All of a sudden, I I don't even really have words. I I thought maybe it was an Achilles tear. I thought just like the way that he was
15:39screaming, the way that it looked ugly in the rain, all of a sudden it's a hamstring strain. Now, here's what I'll
15:43say. Uh, one, I think it's just more funny than anything else, kind of how the whole thing happened. Uh, you had
15:48Bears fan accounts putting up Derrick Rose edits over Caleb Williams. Seems like he's going to be fine. So, awesome, awesome news. I will say though, Tom
15:56Pelisero is really positive here, saying the team isn't even ruling him out for next Monday's game against the Eagles.
16:01Sure. Uh my baseline expectation would be that he misses that game and then maybe another one or two after that.
16:08They're almost always super positive the day after and then we'll kind of see how things shake out. So, I wouldn't go in
16:14expecting Caleb Williams to play this week, but you know, if he can dodge IR, I think that's a huge win considering
16:21how things felt on Sunday. Now the bigger point of emphasis here is the rest of these pass catchers. We have Roma Dunes who is the wide receiver 51.
16:30Luther Burn is the wide receiver 47.
16:32Leland is the tight end 77. And Khif Raymond leads the team in targets. And this is where we go back to what I just
16:39said about the Kenyan Sadique thing is that when these coaches do stuff that annoys us in fantasy, if they don't get
16:44rewarded with a win in the win column, that is a W for us, right? So doing all of this, let's spread the ball around.
16:50Let's get Cle Framan involved. Let's get Cole KT involved. Uh when you lose in pretty ugly fashion to the Vikings uh
16:58division opponent and when you only really put up points against a Panthers team that sucks and then you still have to kind of like your defense gives up a
17:05billion points to them. I think that they're going to go back to the drawing board and say, "Hey, maybe we should
17:09just give our best players the ball moving forward." I think that that's very much what is in the range of outcome. So, I'm not going to panic too
17:15hard. What I will say is that we definitely have to temper expectations.
17:18does not panic, but Luther Burton was drafted as like what the wide receiver 24. He's probably now more of a mid-range wide receiver three. Roman
17:26Dunes were drafted around the wide receiver 30. Probably now more of a low-end wide receiver three. Coulson Leland drafted as the tight end three.
17:33He's probably now closer to tight end five or tight end six moving forward.
17:36But there's still plenty of season left.
17:38There's still plenty of time for Ben Johnson to consolidate things in this offense. And that will be a segue to something I had missed in terms of
17:46talking points when I was talking about Conpsion and Denzel Boston. But big W to Todd Monin. Let me give a shout out to
17:52Todd Mon here. The target distribution.
17:55This is so important. If we can just get the touches consolidated even in a bad offense like the Browns, this is a huge
18:01win. So we had 30 pass attempts from Deshun Watson in this game. Seven went to Denzel Boston, six to Harold Fannon,
18:06six to Conpion, five to Quinn Shawn Judkins, and then no more than two to anybody else. This is how it should be,
18:12right? So 6 + 6 is 12 + 5 is 17 + 7 is 24. So 24 of 30 pass attempts is pretty
18:20much all of them. I can't think of the percentage on top of my head, but if you can if you can get to a spot where yeah
18:2680% of your touch distribution through the air is your four best playmakers, that's awesome. That's all we could ask for. Um so that is absolutely amazing.
18:36And I think that the Bears are going to look like that sooner rather than later.
18:39again, they weren't rewarded in this ugly game verse the Vikings. And then I'll also add that when we talk about in
18:47particular Tyson Badin and what he's going to mean for this team is one, he's one of the better backup quarterbacks in
18:52the NFL. I also trust Ben Johnson to at least get league average quarterback play and production out of Tyson Badant.
18:58Of course, this Monday at night game against the Eagles will be a tough one.
19:01The Eagles defense is pretty strong.
19:03Even though they gave up a little bit more than you would like to to the Titans, this defense is still really
19:08good. Uh but Tyson Badant and I think that there is something to this. Uh Caleb Williams, if you look and you sort
19:14by time to throw, he's always going to be in the top five. That's part of his superpower, right? He can uh spin out
19:18like the the Rams touchdown. He spins out, he shrugs somebody off, he does something that, you know, Ben Johnson is like burying his head in his hands and
19:25then he looks up and it's a touchdown somehow. That's the Caleb Williams experience. Well, when you bring in a backup quarterback who's playing for his
19:31job and a little more even killed, they're going to drop back, get to their first read, and throw it. Kind of
19:35similar to what Drew Lock has been doing in Seattle. And what that's going to do is it's going to be less of like Ben
19:40Johnson drawing up a play for Luther Burton. Caleb Williams seeing that, not liking it, you know, scrambling out, doing whatever, and then finding Khif
19:47Raymond 40 yards downfield. Tyson Badin is going to be more of a you know, Luther Burden's open underneath. He's my first read. Let's just get an easy 5yard
19:54gain here. That's very much more uh you know, steady for the production of this team moving forward. So, I wouldn't really give them a huge downgrade is
20:03what I'm trying to say here. uh with the backup quarterback. Uh then we also have this from J Zachares. It's at least nice
20:09to see with Burton that he's at a 20% plus target share despite the low route share. But we do of course need that 71%
20:15route share in the second tweet to get up to 80% plus. Can we get to 80% plus for Rome, Lovelin, and Burden? And can
20:21all of those guys get a 20% plus target share? Right? There's no reason for Odun and Lovelin to combine for like a lower
20:28target share than Kyrie Freeman. There's just no way. There is no world where if Ben Johnson wants to break all these
20:33records and score all these points that that is the right way to go and I think that he knows that. So I know I'm giving
20:39him a lot of credit but to me Ben Johnson's one of the brightest minds in the sport and I do think that as we get
20:44going here cooler heads will prevail and a more reasonable distribution is going to happen here. So at the end of the day
20:52I am tempering expectations. I'm not panicking. It's just, you know, we're at a point in the season where a couple cards have been flipped over. You just
21:02kind of accept that and keep it moving.
21:03I wouldn't say any of these guys are dead picks at all. And I would even say, in fact, late season, as everyone is
21:09just trying to figure out what's what this point of the season once it gets to like week eight plus, I think all of
21:14these guys are live to be league winners and a guy you needed to have down the stretch. similar to your Chase Browns of
21:20last year in terms of guys that you can kind of go toe-to-toe with somebody's JSN in like week 14 in a playoff
21:26matchup. This could be a team that gets hot down the stretch. We also have the backfield. DeAndre Swift had a down game
21:32here after a really awesome week one, but I wouldn't hold that against him.
21:35From Jay Zachares here, Swift played 71% of the snaps at the goal line this year.
21:40Last year that was 56%. His goal line rush share is 80% this year when it was 54% last year. So, he's the goal line
21:46back. He gets 20 plus opportunities in this game. He gets five targets as well.
21:49It did feel like when I was watching Manungai had a lot of carries and a lot of snaps, but it was more so that Ben
21:55Johnson really wants to run the ball, which is fine. Uh I think this team is going to run the ball well, but Swift is
22:00going to get his and he's going to be the goal line back. So, I would actually kind of say that his usage in this game
22:05was better than week one. It just so happened that he ripped off long runs and a touchdown in week one. There's
22:10only so much you can do as a running back if your team puts up three points.
22:14Now, our third takeaway here is the Ravens without Z Flowers and how that affected things moving forward. Here is from Fantasy Life a screenshot
22:24looking at the highest target shares on the team. Again, some pretty laughable names uh instead of Elijah Serat. And I think that's just more that Elijah Serat
22:34might not be that good. It's it's Wester, it's Chris Moore, it's Dvontz Walker, but more so than anything else, it's consolidated. And this is what
22:40we're looking for. and Declan Doyle. I will give a massive W to Declan Doyle here. Our target share in week two. 30%
22:47from Baitman, 25% for Mark Andrews, 11% for Derrick Henry. Your three best players had the three most targets.
22:55Beautiful. Beautiful. That is what we are looking for. Declan Doyle knows Ball. I know that they lose this game and it's like, okay, whatever. Whatever.
23:02Uh I know all the Ravens fans are going nuts, but in terms of offense, what we're looking for in fantasy football,
23:07this was good. Now, of course, can you say, well, second half, should they have run the ball more? Sure, sure. Whatever,
23:11whatever. But in terms of consolidating touches around your skill players, all we really care about in fantasy, this was huge. And on top of that, yes, they
23:18didn't give Derrick Henry uh enough carries in the second half. But what I do love is this passing game usage from
23:23Declan Doyle. He promised, or not promised, but there was buzz in the preseason that they would use Derrick Henry in the screen game more. And
23:31there's a lot of things that play callers say in the preseason, then the season happens and they don't do it. But
23:36here we have two screens for Derrick Henry for a total of 39 yards through two games. That sounds like nothing, but
23:42that's about six PPR points. Three per game you're adding to Derrick Henry who had a zero for receiving. Like he has no
23:48receiving upside. If you all of a sudden can take his rushing production, right?
23:51He's going to get to 1500 plus rushing yards, 15 plus total touchdowns. If you can now add on top of that three points
23:57per game from little screens here and there where he can get a screen, you get the one PPR and then clear out for 20
24:03yards. I mean, at that point, you're really cooking with some fire here when it comes to Derrick Henry, who in a game
24:09script that it wasn't that great for him in terms of carries, and he should have salted the game away late, but I think
24:13him getting to 17.7 PPR points is kind of a floor raiser in terms of Derrick Henry, I think, in most situations last year, Derk Henry in this
24:24game doesn't get the screen, loses three PPR points, and you're looking at more of like 14 points here in a game where
24:29he essentially just scored a touchdown, and that's it. So screen game is huge.
24:34Uh I will say bold take. He's going to crib one of these very soon. He's going to take a uh little screen. He's going
24:40to run 40 yards into the end zone. That will happen and I will talk about it here. Uh now we can talk about the
24:46Saints on the other side. I've gotten a lot of questions about Shuck. Shuck is interesting. He is behind only Josh Allen with 60.1 expected points over two
24:54games. Now, what expected points are at the quarterback position is just like your drop backs, your pass attempts, your A dot, all of that. Just based on
25:00your every time you step back to pass, how many points should you have?
25:04Meaning, you get rewarded for scrambles and rush attempts. You get rewarded uh for heavy play volume, which Kell Moore does. At this point, they are up there
25:12in terms of plays per game behind only.
25:15I think that they're only behind the Texans. Weirdly enough, the Texans are actually running a lot of plays part partially because they're in weird game
25:21scripts where they're coming from behind versus the Bills and they're trying to keep up with the Bengals in backtoback weeks. But the Saints are going to run a
25:26lot of plays. That gives Chuck a lot of opportunity. You get some garbage time late. This one he actually added it on
25:31the ground. Uh in week one, he had like he was in the top five for most drop backs, which when you have that many
25:36drop backs, you're going to get yards, touchdowns, all of that. In this one, instead he scrambles for a touchdown and now he's looking pretty solid through
25:43two weeks. I think Shuck, he's interesting. In a one quarterback league, you're starting to get in a tough spot here, right? Trevor Lawrence
25:49lays a goose egg. Uh Caleb Williams is banged up. Jayden Dalens is banged up.
25:52Uh there's a lot of people struggling at quarterback right now. And you're looking to your options of Tyler Shuck and Bryce Young. Uh and kind of debating
25:59what things look like moving forward. I I think that he's at least somebody to roster as your second quarterback if you
26:04don't have one of the set it and forget it guys, which to me, I guess like the set it and forget it guys are are really
26:09shallow at this point. I I would say set it and forget it is Allen Lamar and then maybe I'm missing somebody, but I guess
26:15you could put Herz in there and then that's kind of it. I I don't know with the Caleb Williams injury and
26:22like all the injuries that have happened so far. Uh I think you could actually put Mahomes in the set and forget it
26:26category. You could put in there and then that's kind of it, right? I wouldn't call Yeah, I I wouldn't call G set and forget it. I wouldn't call Dak
26:36set and though Dak is really close. Dak is really close. Uh, but you get what I'm saying. There's about six quarterbacks that you shouldn't roster a
26:44second quarterback. But things have been so weird this year that Chuck, Bryce Young should absolutely be rostered. And then we could talk about the Olive Veil
26:52portion of things where I know a lot of people are looking at like, is Vale a real guy here? Uh, I'll say, of course,
26:58Olve, somebody that really popped in our legendary wide receiver upside video. I hope that you guys took Olave because of that. I will be honest, I don't have
27:04nearly as much Olve as I should. Uh, one because we didn't get any of those damn 101's, 102s, 103s. So, I couldn't, you
27:11know, get Gibbs, Bejon, or Chase, and then come back around to that 23 turn and get Olve. So, I could never get him
27:16to fall to where I wanted him in round three. I could never stomach taking him at like the 207 or the 206. Uh, so I
27:23ended up really whiffing on a lot of Olve shares there, but he has been awesome. 25 PPR points in this game. He
27:29gets a huge target share. He gets a huge airyard share. As long as Olave is healthy in these game scripts with Shuck
27:35playing like this, he is a set and forget uh really fringe top six wide receiver rest of the season. I think
27:41that would put him right around seven.
27:42Like him and Malik Neighbors after the top six of uh you know, however you feel about Puka with this injury tonight, but
27:48like in no order, JSN, Chase, Puka, Lamb, Jefferson, Aman Rah. Again, no order. Those are your top six. And then the guys knocking on the door to me are
27:56Chris Olive and then Malik Neighbors depending on how he does tonight. But is right there in contention for wide receiver one overall. I think that him
28:03and JSN are the only wide receivers with 60 plus PPR points uh heading into tonight. I'll also say Vle at 15.6
28:12points per game with a 19% target share.
28:14That's going to be just enough on a team that's going to throw this much. So he's somebody that's very much a real flex
28:21option. Jawan Johnson's fine. 13% target share is not great, but he does have 14 PPR points in week one, 10.6 in week
28:27two. this is what he's going to do. I do wonder like this was a a huge step down in target share. I do wonder how much
28:33Alvin Kamara really affected things which takes us to our fourth takeaway.
28:40My murky backfields segment. As always, shout out to fantasylife.com. They have this utilization report. You can compare players. Uh I have no affiliation with
28:48them, but they do awesome work. I love Pete Overzette. I love Dwayne McFarland.
28:51I love all the guys they have over there. Shout out Cups. Shout out uh Matthew Barry, the godfather of fantasy football. all those guys over there. Um,
28:58and girls too, of course. Shout out Cteroodle. But with the Saints, we have Kamar ETN and then CJ Donaldson, which to me is crazy. I don't mean to say CJ
29:08Donaldson like that. I hope that he's not watching, but man, you pay all this money to Travis ETN, and then you go 31%
29:15of the routes for CJ Donaldson, and don't get me wrong, he's doing nothing out there. He's running uh I mean, 91%
29:20long down in distance, but he's not the two-minute drill back. He's he's essentially I think that he essentially is their pass blocking back. He comes
29:26in. Yeah. 31% of the snaps, only 18% route share. So yeah, most of the time he's getting in there to block, which I
29:32guess is fine, right? Like you don't really need ETN or Kamar blocking, but now you're shrinking up the pie, right?
29:37You take 30% away. Now you're dealing with 70%. Now, of course, shout out Kell Moore. He's doing some pony personnel stuff where he has both of the running
29:43backs in. And that's how you get uh you add all their snap shares together. It's not going to be 100% because you're
29:47going to have some overlap here and there. But you have Kamara having the best utilization. Kamar had more rush attempts than Travis Tian. This is his
29:54first game off of an injury whereas ETN got paid essentially what Kenneth Walker got paid in Kansas City. Uh 19% target
30:02share for Kamar versus a 6% target share for ETN. ETN is really tough man. I I would have rest of season ETN. I'd have
30:12I'd have him, you know, he was somebody who was what getting drafted as like a top 15 running back in fantasy. It was
30:16essentially like Javvante, Kairen, Breeze, Love, and then it was ETN kind of like a mini tier ahead of your Bucky Irving Scataboo. um Totin, all of those
30:24guys. I now have ETN right in the Tutin tier and then maybe even below that, more towards your like Trevian Henderson, Jaylen Warren, Raandre
30:35Stevenson area. It is not pretty for Kamar right now. This is really bad usage. It's what Kell Moore has done with these running
30:43backs. That's why them uh committing to him was so weird. And then on top of that, they lose their franchise left
30:48tackle, Kelvin Banks. Seems like it's going to be for 10 or so weeks. So ETN downgrades fully to like a fringe RB2
30:54moving forward and that's really spooky for a guy you probably drafted in the early fourth. Uh then we'll talk about the Green Bay backfield. Uh this was
31:04against my Jets and I'll be honest, I was watching the game. Caleb Johnson looked good. I hate to say it. I really
31:09do. Uh he looked good. The the minute he comes in the game, he rips off like a 10- yard run. Uh Marshall Lloyd was
31:15borderline unusable in this game. Chris Brooks was kind of your whatever replacement level running back, getting a lot of like routes and, you know, just
31:23being out there during passing plays, but then also getting some run game.
31:27They the the run game was terrible in this. I don't know if you want to attribute it to the Jets Dline, if you
31:32want to attribute it to the rain conditions. Nobody could get anything going besides Caleb Johnson. We have a stat here from John Dagel. Marshall
31:38Lloyd then fumbles in the fourth quarter in like real crunch time here as they're trying to mount the comeback versus the
31:43Jets. And from there on out, he gets zero touches. You get four for Chris Brooks, you get two for Caleb Johnson.
31:49Uh you have the full snapshare listed from JJ Zacharies here. To me, and I hate to say this, I usually never like
31:55opt out of a backfield, but this is going to be a three-sided headache until Josh Jacobs returns. I think if you put
32:02Marshon Lloyd in your lineup, you are thanking your lucky stars. He scored a touchdown. After that, though, he is no longer going back in your lineup. You
32:09are not starting any of these Packers running backs. you're maybe picking up Caleb Johnson in a deep league just in case, but that is about it. Then we
32:16could talk about the Minnesota backfield. Aaron Jones, main back, Jordan Mason hurt. Aaron Jones was an every down Bellcal from Ryan Heath here. 23 of 25 backfield
32:28carries, a 46% rap participation rate.
32:30That is awesome. Awesome usage. And I think in a game that's more of a real NFL football game, not a 9 to3 like
32:36rainfest, that was ugly. I think better days are ahead for Aaron Jones. That was a ton of volley for him. 23 attempts.
32:43Weirdly no targets. He didn't run a ton of routes, but there just wasn't a lot in the passing game regardless when it
32:49came to the Vikings. Yeah, just 20 attempts here. I think the rain was a big factor, but 20 plus touches for
32:54Aaron Jones is huge. You get Tampa, Miami, New Orleans into a bye-week, then Jordan Mason will probably come back.
33:00You get a three-week stretch here where Aaron Jones will be a backend RB2, you probably picked up for free or, you
33:06know, in the draft of course, but we're talking like a 10th, 11th, 12th round pick. Uh then we can talk about some
33:11other murky back fields. I have some of these tweets bookmarked here. We will switch over now. Shout out to uh Dave
33:19Richard. Shout out to Jared Smola. Of course, Philly game. I don't have anything to really note on Saquon Barkley getting banged up. That
33:29was brutal. I started him in your idiot league mates. He gets banged up on the first play. There's nothing you can do
33:34here. But the really big takeaway here when we talk about Murky Backfields is Tank Bixby is getting drafted like in the Jonah Coleman range and Tank Bsby is
33:44not the handcuff. He's just simply not the handcuff there. There really there isn't a handcuff. This is from uh Dave Richard in the fourth quarter only. It
33:51was Shipley 60% Bsby 35%. If you want to look here uh you know 15 touches for Bsby, nine for Will Shipley. So if Siko
34:01must ever go down, instead of Tank Bixsby being this fringe top 12 play, it'd be like Tank Bsby like RB25, RB26,
34:08RB27, and then Will Shipley around like RB30.
34:13So it goes from like a set and forget handcuff to more of like a fringe handcuff. So you know, in in normal
34:18leagues, he's not a priority. Like you can definitely drop him if you need to.
34:22I definitely would prefer guys like Brilan Allen. I would much prefer EMTT Johnson. Uh all those kinds of guys. Uh then we have the Jaguars backfield
34:29usage. Tuan kind of takes a lead here.
34:31He looked good. He looked explosive. He scores a touchdown on the weird wild cap. 13 carries, two targets in this one. Just six carries for Rodriguez. But
34:38it's a little bit annoying that he became kind of this foreheaded backfield. Amir Abdullah had a annoying amount of snaps and touches, but two's
34:46like a fine backend RB2 for now. And then you have the commanders. Now that Jayen Daniels isn't in there, this whole
34:52offense gets a huge downgrade. uh Bill 13 opportunities to Rashad White's 13 opportunities. It's a split. It's ugly.
35:00And now that Jayen Dan isn't there, they're implied point totals every week is going to crash. You're not really looking to start any of these guys. Uh I
35:08will also mention I don't think I have Oh, I do have Bree Hall uh bookmarked here as well. This one not great for
35:15Bree. 65% to 31% split. Bree did take a screen for 40 yards. It was like the only screen they've given to Bree Hall
35:22so far. Again, it sucks and you can say I fell for it.
35:26Well, I will say I glazed Frank rank. I said Garrett Wilson's a trade target.
35:30Garrett Wilson had a great game. I think his target share is going to climb. It's not going to be every week that Adan I
35:34Mitchell out targets him. But still, you get a touchdown from Garrett Wilson.
35:38You're happy.
35:41I have to believe that when we talk about, okay, the coach does this thing, they lose, it should change moving forward.
35:47six targets to a minus a dot Isaiah Williams when you can do Bree Hall or Kenyan Sadik in the screen game instead
35:54is a mind-numbing decision that I think will get corrected. I have to believe when you give a screen to Bruce Hall and
36:01it goes for 40 yards. How you don't look at that and say, "Oh, maybe we should actually do more of that." Here we are.
36:06Uh Brillin Allen, of course, I believe that he is the one who punched in uh the goal line carry. That is always the
36:11concern when it comes to Brillin Allen versus Bree is that Brilen Allen is going to get the goal line carry. He did
36:15have a touchdown. I will say though, if you're on the breeze side, as we are, there is a chance. It was fourth and one
36:22out of shotgun. They give Brilen Allen the carry and he can't convert. The Jets end up losing the game. There's maybe a
36:27chance that they go back and rethink this whole like Brilen Allen has to be our between the tackle short yardage guy. But you can also say running out of
36:34shotgun when this has been an under center team. Oh jeez, now I'm showing you guys my uh my outline for this
36:40video. But when you uh kind of fail to convert there, the coaches could go back and change some of that usage. Now, my
36:48fifth takeaway or lesson learned here is going to be life without AJ Brown for the Patriots. We have a lot to go over
36:57here. First, let's talk about the running backs. All right. Not that like I guess AJ Brown's absence kind of does boost Trevian
37:05Henderson. You need a big play playmaker. That's what he does in this game. Trevion Henderson has the long touchdown house call. This is what he
37:12does. It's what he does. At this point, we're two years into his career. Uh I wish I had dug up like who has more 30
37:18plus rushing yard touchdowns than him. I would guess it's not many. He had a 39 yard rushing touchdown early in this
37:23game. He finishes with 16 carries, 76 yards, and a touchdown. If you want to nitpick and say, okay, he had a long
37:28touchdown and then 15 carries for not much. You can definitely nitpick there.
37:32But that's just kind of the one, the Henderson experience, and two, a rain game against the Steelers. Like that's just going to happen. and Bejon didn't
37:38really rush all that well against his defense either. Uh and then it's also like Raandre didn't do any better.
37:42Raandre had eight opportunities in a fumble. Uh and a pretty brutal Yeah, Bejian had 21 attempts for 83 yards verse this defense. You can also see
37:51Raandre against this defense had he actually he actually ran well funny enough. Six carries, 43 yards. It's just that he fumbled. He got hurt for it. Uh
38:00but we will talk about how this backfield split looks on a snapshare basis from Jay Zachares up top. Uh Stevenson had a 36% snap share.
38:08Henderson 60% snap share. And he even ran more routes than Raandre which is a huge huge deal. Raandre from Ian Harditis here is the only running back
38:17with 10 plus fumbles since 2024. And then Adam Levitan with a very measured take. Shout out to ETR established a run. Roandre Stevenson lost another
38:24fumble yesterday. his seventh in his last 31 games was punished in the form of playing time. Two, New England's weapon deficient offense needs Trevon
38:31Henderson's explosiveness on the field often even if Randre isn't fumbling, especially while AJ Brown is out. Now, I'm not saying that Henderson needs to
38:37go in lineups next week against the Jaguars. But this is a massive, massive positive for Henderson where it was trending really bad for a second here
38:45where he gets banged up before week one.
38:47Raandre gets all these touches. is if he comes out here and registers five touches to Raandre's 20 touches, uh, it's a long hill to climb for Henderson
38:58to get into your lineup. Now, we're right here. Now, we're right here. He is going to be right on the fringes of
39:03being an RB2 this week with plenty of upside moving forward. Now, the rest of the offense in terms of how they are
39:09adjusting without AJ Brown is Hunter Henry went from a 60% route share to an 81% route share, 10% target share to a
39:1621% target share. didn't really get home in this game, right? Only seven PPR points, but I do think better days are
39:22ahead for Hunter Henry without AJ Brown.
39:24That is really strong usage for a tight end. Uh then you have Romeo Dobs, who goes from a 10% target share to a 21%
39:30target share without AJ Brown, but his route share still hovered around 75%.
39:34He's at best a boom bust flex play, but he is the main beneficiary. Then we could talk about Jaylen Warren. Jaylen
39:40Warren without Rico Dattle handled 100% of the backfield opportunities after sending away Caleb Johnson to the Packers. They have nobody behind Dao.
39:48They do have my guy Eli Hidenrike from the uh Dynasty days, but I would be shocked if he gets meaningful playing
39:54time here. Uh we'll see what the injury is with Dao, but if one of these guys was to go down, the other would be a
40:00potential like league winner, high-end RB2. Really, the main issue is that Aaron Rodgers and kind of a note on the other side of this game is that Aaron
40:09Rogers is fully on watched watch. This is from uh Pat Thorman here. Aaron Rogers. Uh, his offense has given up as
40:15many touchdowns as it has scored, meaning he's thrown a pick six, then also only one passing touchdown. Uh, essentially Jaylen Warren caught three
40:23passes. They had a four play 31 yard off in Atlanta turnover in terms of their only scoring drive. It was against
40:29Atlanta. And then Aaron Rogers better than only one quarterback in EPA per play. And it is Cooper Rush. There's a decent chance that we see Drew Lar at
40:35some point this season. I don't think that that's that crazy. Aaron Rogers has been unusable. that has spilled into Metaf who Metaf has 26% of the targets,
40:42but he has just eight catches for 67 yards over two games here. I think it's a little bit of Metaf not being great. I
40:48think it's a little bit of Rogers being pretty terrible here. So, the Steelers offense in general is in trouble, but if
40:53this dattle injury is serious, then Warren gets a massive boost. Then my sixth takeaway is JSN is the best wide receiver alive and he's also quarterback
41:04proof. And everybody was really concerned about this Sam Darnold injury.
41:09Sam Darnold goes down. Is it over? Not so fast. This is from uh Roto Surgeon on Twitter kind of outlining that Drew
41:16Lockach and his wide receiver won since 2023. He's done with JSN. He's done with Neighbors. He's done with Metaf. He's one of these guys and I really do
41:23appreciate these backup quarterbacks who just know where their bread is buttered, right? Let's not spread it around. Let's not do anything crazy. Just get the ball
41:28to your best playmaker and figure it out. Think Joe Flacco last year with just getting the ball to Jamar Chase as
41:34much as he could. That's what we're dealing with with Drew Lockach. Uh we are through two games here. JSN has a 26
41:38PPR point game and then a 40 bomb verse the Cardinals this past week. Uh he is the best wide receiver breathing. Uh you
41:46know I know a lot of us love Jamar Chase. We love Justin Jefferson. But in terms of right now what he's doing with
41:51Drew Lock, what he's doing on a per out basis from Ian Hardit here in terms of yard sprout run, he is in a world of his
41:58own. In terms of target sprout run, he's in a world of his own. I don't know. Uh, I think that there's a chance that Jamar
42:03Chase could go nuclear, go triple crown.
42:05That's what he's done before. But there were some concerns even from me as well where it's like, well, we don't have Kubak anymore. Is Sam Darnold's
42:13going to be a pumpkin next year. None of it matters, dude. New OC backup quarterback JSN 40 plus bomb, three touchdowns. I mean, it's just it's
42:23absurd. Uh, he is amazing, amazing, amazing. Uh, I will say as well though, part of this tweet, I will give a small
42:30side shout out here to, uh, Parker Washington, Chopwood, Carrie Water. He is kind of in this tier between everybody else and JSN, uh, with almost
42:39a four-yard per out run, almost a 40% targets per run. Parker Washington has been amazing. He is a fringe wide receiver, one at worst moving forward.
42:47You could talk me into moving him essentially. You have the top six. We talked about it earlier. Top six neighbors are Olive.
42:54Maybe I'm missing somebody, but if you if you wanted to put Parker Washington right in there as the wide receiver nine
42:58moving forward, I wouldn't fault you, right? It's the top six. It's a Nico Collins.
43:05You could put Christian Watson ahead of Parker Washington if you wanted to, but I like I like Pash's usage a little
43:09more. Um, no, actually, never mind. Let me get Parker Washington in there. Let me get and then yeah, I think it gets really
43:17close after that with like how much do you want to hold on to the London stock?
43:20How much do you want to boost Devonte Smith? Uh how much do you want to boost Garrett Wilson? How scared are you off
43:26the Z Flowers injury? But Parker Washington is in there in terms of uh you know he's at 18.1 points per game
43:34here and he hasn't even had like a true spike week. It doesn't feel like uh he's just been the focal point of that
43:40offense. And then I also want to talk about Jaguars wide receivers because we have Brian Thomas, a guy who looks like
43:44a shell of himself. Uh 26% target share in this game on a 14y ADOT is really strong. That's awesome usage. It's just
43:52the drops are bad. He doesn't look like himself. I don't know what's going on with Brian Thomas. For now, he's this
43:56boom bus stash that you need to keep out of your lineup. And then someone else that looks like a shell of himself on
44:01the other side of this Seattle Seahawks game as we talk about the Drew experience is Marvin Harrison Jr. from my guy Mike Clay. two games this year,
44:0990 snaps, four targets, one catch, 33 yards. Uh, it is ugly. You downgrade him fully, you throw Michael Wilson ahead, you throw Trey McBride ahead. Marvin
44:19Harrison Jr. moving forward, uh, he's a guy that I'm I'm not dropping. I'm not outright dropping in a normal 12man league just yet, but it is spooky. He's
44:28not going in my lineup. He is purely a stash and if we get two or three more weeks into this thing and Marv does
44:33absolutely nothing, he's probably getting cut in most spots. I I I wish I had some positive for you guys. I wish I
44:40had something, but there's nothing that can be said here. When you're only converting one of your four targets, when you're you're out there for 90
44:45snaps only getting four targets to begin with, like there's no part of this pyramid from snap to target to receptions.
44:52It's all bad. It is all bad. Now we have the rookie running back carousel as our seventh uh takeaway here. First up,
45:00Jeremiah Love. He had the same exact role versus Seahawks, right? He goes from 44% of the snaps to 40% of the
45:06snaps. I wouldn't freak out. Uh really good Seattle defense. They're not going to want to like unleash him here. I think the role is going to expand. He
45:13saw both the carries inside the red zone in this game. His five total receptions match Alier plus Marvin Harrison Jr.
45:19They have five. So he's getting the passing game work. He's getting the red zone roll. He had 12 opportunities to Alier. seven opportunities. I think over
45:26time we're going to see more and more Jeremiah Love. It's just a matter of patience here. Uh then we have Jonah
45:31Coleman. This one's exciting. Goes from 7% of the routes or the snaps and then things open up here. Things open up. We
45:38of course get RJ Harvey inactive. We get JK Dobbins leaves the game early with a hamstring and then all of a sudden Jonah
45:45Coleman runs away with it. He goes out here and gets nine opportunities to Tyler Beday's one opportunity. Once JK Dobbins got hurt, he ends up with 10
45:56carries, three receptions, a touchdown, 14.8 PPR points as a running back that looked really good in this Broncos offense. I I don't know how this looks
46:04moving forward. Uh Shawn Payton is also is always super tricky where Harvey could come back, Dobbins could come back, all of a sudden he could really
46:11like what he saw out of Bedet and then all of a sudden Beday is getting involved. But Jonah Coleman, this is a
46:16really fun upside stash. He's rostered in most leagues. If you have him on your bench, you keep him there for now. Uh
46:23but and you pro you probably play him if Dobbins and Harvey both get ruled out, which I think is a really low
46:28probability chance of happening. But if that happens, you can play him. If not, I think he's just one of the best
46:31stashes in all of fantasy football. Uh now, of course, I should have explained what this is. The rookie running back carousel is sponsored by me. If you're
46:40enjoying this video, make sure you subscribe, leave a like so you watch these videos every single week, comment all that stuff down below. Uh but we
46:47have your snap share, so just how much you are expanding your role week over week. Your point per game production.
46:53Your expected points per game is your volume. Your FPOE per game is how much you are over underperforming that volume. Your rush share, so what
46:59percentage of carries do you have so far? What percentage of routes do you have? And then what percentage of targets do you have? We want carries, we
47:06want targets, we want touches, we want snaps, we want all of it. We want efficiency. Jonah Coleman, efficient, but I will say the touchdown was really
47:12the efficiency there. So let's not get too crazy. Then we have Emtt Johnson.
47:15And Emma Johnson is one of the best handcuffs in all of fantasy football. He was awesome last night. Kenneth Walker is amazing. I know that they're even
47:22coming out with reports of like they're going to get Emma Johnson more involved.
47:24I will say pump the If you're a Kenneth Walker uh owner and you saw that headline, you're like, "Oh my god, it's
47:31it's fine. It's fine." Kenneth Walker has had more touches than maybe I would even like. I'm a I'm one of the biggest
47:38Kenneth Walker guys there is, but we do not need uh he he's now had almost over 30 touches in both of these games. We
47:45can scale that back to just over 20.
47:47Maintain the red zone role, maintain the receiving role. Everything is all good there. But Emtt Johnson looked awesome.
47:53He had this one play where he like made like three different guys miss. Emtt Johnson's a real player in this league
47:58and one of the best handcuffs where if Kenneth Walker was to go down, we would hate to see it obviously, but Emma
48:03Johnson would be a firm RB2 in that world. Same deal with Kaylin Black. I will say this is a game that was never
48:11competitive against Miami. I think that this snapshot of 31% is even overstating how much Kalin Black played just due to the game getting out of hand. Miami put
48:19in or uh 49ers put in their backups that led to a lot of snaps for Kalin Black.
48:23He's just a high-end handcuff with Emtt Johnson. Then you have your more low-end handcuffs with Mike Washington Jr. and Seth McGawan behind their Bellcows of
48:32Genty and JT. We sadly get Deont Clayborn this week. It was supposed to be Dean Claybourne's time.
48:39He gives you 4% of the snaps.
48:42There's nothing there. There's sadly nothing there. If you want to hold on for another week, he can, but there's it's I'd be shocked if he somehow
48:47becomes a real player uh as a rookie.
48:50You get Katron Allen who continues to see playing time in garbage time, but that's about it. You also get um some of
48:57these other backfields here. This one being the Titans where none of these guys are startable. Uh Pard gets 50% of the snaps, then Spears at 37%, and then
49:08Singleton at 12%. Singleton purely a speculative stash. Uh and you're really hoping for him to like fully emerge or for one of those running backs to get
49:16hurt. Then you have the Saints backfield. We talked about it earlier, but Donaldson is just purely a pass catching back in this offense. Then our
49:25eighth takeaway is what I'm calling a sigh of relief. These are players that it was a little spooky in week one, but
49:30now we're having a sigh of relief kind of on the the back of that Kalin Black point is McCaffrey and George KD and
49:35just kind of what I'm calling the uncction in uh San Francisco through first three quarters from Ryan Heath here. You get McCaffrey 71% carry share,
49:4517% target share, four of four backfield carries inside the 10. Last year when he averaged 24.5 points per game as the RB1
49:51overall, all of those are about the same, right? He had a 77% carry share, he had a 21% target share, and 88% of
49:57the backfield carries inside of the 10 yard line. Essentially that same exact role while things were competitive against the Miami Dolphins on the back
50:03of an Australia trip. So McCaffrey's all the way back. Uh, and you guys do love when I do legendary running back stuff.
50:08In terms of like legendary running back short list for me I think it would be very clearly up top it would be Gibbs
50:14Kenneth Walker JT Tearreak McAffrey Genty Bejon could maybe throw in Derrick Henry as well. I might be forgetting somebody as well but that's just that's just me on
50:25top of the dome talking about uh high-end running backs moving forward.
50:29And then I bring up George KD in terms of sigh of relief players because he goes from 47% of the routes in week one
50:34to 62.5% of the routes in week two. So that's before they pulled the starter.
50:3862.5% is almost there. We're almost there. If we can get to 70% plus for KD, uh he's a very strong start week to
50:44week. He's also behind only JSN, Dalton Concade, Parker Washington, and CD Lamb with a 2.97 yards per out run. He gets
50:51four catches, 80 yards, and a touchdown in this game. I think that now his usage is pretty much all the way there as a
50:55guy who's going to be a fringe top six tight end moving forward. Some other sigh of relief players, guys that had
51:01down week one, maybe you bought low, maybe were just a little bit spooked.
51:04Devonte Smith, 13 targets, 10 catches, 117 yards, and a touchdown. He is the focal point of this Eagles offense.
51:11Dallas Goddard's banged up. It's all Devonte Smith moving forward as a backend wide receiver. One Jaylen Wadd, he goes from having in his debut game,
51:18they get the shiny new toy, he gets three targets, one catch for two yards.
51:22He comes out here against the Jaguars.
51:2410 targets, eight catches, 138 yards, firm wide receiver, two moving forward.
51:29James Cook will add in here as well in terms of sigh of relief players. Three plus targets in back-to-back games is
51:34huge. Uh if he kept up that pace, he'd be in the mix for RB1 overall. Uh and then he had 20.9 PBR points verse the
51:41Lions here. He had a goal line touchdown. All of that's awesome. And then Jamar Chase and the Bengals. Jamar Chase after nothing in week one. nine
51:49targets, seven catches, 75 yards, two touchdowns with an awesome touchdown grab uh that everyone was going crazy about. And that brings us to our ninth
51:56takeaway, which is the hot start Cincinnati Bengals. Who would have thought that the Bengals would come out here start hot, they win an awesome game
52:04versus the Texans that never really felt all that close. They were just firing on all cylinders. I'll also add as well,
52:10this offensive line and this defense is for real. Like, they get Dexter Lawrence. Dexter Lawrence is a real problem that just completely completely
52:17crushed David Montgomery in this game.
52:19Uh Joe Bro is a 75.5 PF grade through two weeks. It is the best start to a season in his entire career. Take that
52:24for what you want, but it just kind of goes to show the Bengals are starting hot here. And to me, that's scary
52:28because they almost always ramp up as you go. Uh we can talk about here Amarius Mims. I believe that that was
52:34the toolsy tackle out of Georgia who is just like this 67 long arms huge guy of like you know there's one of these
52:42prospects every year it's like if you just get the right coach and you could mold him the right way he could be a top
52:47five tackle in the league. It seems like that's what has panned out for Amarius Mims here from grid iron grading here.
52:54Zero pressures on 34 pass block snaps versus the Texans which of course versus their pass rush is elite. than in week
53:01one versus the Bucks. Zero pressure. So, they have this like bookend tackle. This offensive line is really trending in the right direction. This defense is real.
53:09Now, the defense being good isn't great for their fantasy options, but just something to realize moving forward.
53:13This is a real Bengals team. This is no longer So, on one side, you get better blocking and you get a quicker start,
53:18right? There's not as many errors early on, but you also get not as many uh like dumb shootouts, but that is still pretty
53:26positive for them. Uh then we can talk about the Texans side of this game.
53:32The answer is not Jaylen Nolan Booty. Uh I don't know why I said that weird.
53:36Kahan Booty, uh Xavier Hutchinson, Jared Wayne, whoever you want to say in terms of wide receiver. It is Daltton Schultz.
53:42Daltton Schultz in this game. If you started him, we called him out. I will say we didn't have all hits, so I'm not
53:46really going to victory lap our sneaky starts and stats video. But if you picked up Daltton Schultz and played him because of me, uh that fourth quarter
53:52was a valiant, valiant effort. He gave you 14 targets, 12 catches, 140. Felt like half of that game on the final
53:58drive or two. Uh, awesome performance from Daltton Schultz. He is a mustart tight end in any game Nico Collins misses moving forward. And then we also
54:06had uh David Montgomery getting stuffed by Dexter Lawrence in this game. And then because they were chasing points, yeah, he had six carries for 10 yards in
54:14this game versus Dexter Lawrence.
54:15Brutal, brutal stuff. uh you get and now I will say I'm not really even going to take a victory lap on this because this
54:21is kind of the the two outcomes. You can either be in a high-scoring like neutral game script versus the Bills where you
54:28end up with 28.9 PPR points or you end up chasing points versus the Bengals getting a lot of Woody Marks work from
54:34JJ Zaches here showing that Montgomery had a 63% rush share to Marks' 28% and then in week two that went from 33% to
54:4144%. So, we're now in a spot where these guys are game script dependent, where Woody Marks is going to be the main guy
54:48when they're trailing. You're going to have David Montgomery salting away games when they are the favorite. Uh, they're not a great team, so it's tough to
54:54really say they're going to be favored in a lot of games, but they're also going to be close in a lot of games. So,
54:58I I wouldn't hit the full panic button on Montgomery, as much as I would love to stick my chest out here uh in victory
55:03lap Montgomery, it's just this is what he is. He's an he's an RB2 in fantasy football. Um, and that's what they do.
55:09Uh, moving on.
55:12Number 10, the Chargers are broken.
55:13Another one I've gotten a lot of questions about. How do I feel about the Chargers? How do I feel about them
55:17moving forward? It's really tough to say. It's tough to say. First of all, it's tough. I part of me wants to say
55:25they're not throwing the ball enough. We have Pat Thorman here saying with Justin Herbert, this is the lowest neutral pass rate they've ever had. 46% 31st in the
55:32NFL. I start to wonder of like I love Mike McDaniel, but is he trying to force his scheme on these players rather than
55:39kind of use these players to the best of his ability? I'm starting to have some of those thoughts. Then we also have Lad
55:44Mani is a big deal here from JJ Zachares showing that on plays with Lad Makoni off the field this season. They're at
55:51EPA per play of minus.41 behind only the Atlanta Falcons. When he's on the field, their EPA per play is seventh best.
55:57Well, the issue is he's wearing a flat jacket. He's banged up. He's not playing in a full-time role. So, it's a little
56:01bit of a a bunch of things. It's one, we need more Lad Makanki. It's two, we need more pass attempts.
56:07Really, what I'll say is Justin Herbert is a spooky start moving forward as a quarterback option. We also have these growing pains. We're trying to learn a
56:17new offense. This was supposed to be the giddy up, right? It was supposed to be the Cardinals. It was supposed to be the
56:22uh Raiders. Two easy wins. And then we get a gauntlet because this is the gauntlet. We have the Bills, Seattle, Denver, KC, Rams, Houston, Baltimore.
56:31tough. So now you're in a spot where I don't think Herbert I I I would give Herbert one more go. I know it sounds
56:37crazy, but versus your options on waiverss if if you're somebody who had like a a Herbert trying to think of like
56:43what a reasonable two quarterback stack would be there, but I guess like Herbert and say I don't know maybe have Herbert
56:49Dak Prescott or Herbert uh I haven't looked at the Lions schedule but like Herbert Jared Goff if Goff is like in a
56:55dome as a favorite I would probably go golf. He's what? Yeah. At home in the dome versus the Jets. You can go Jared
57:00Goff over Justin Herbert, but Herbert versus like Bryce Young or Tyler Shuck or Malik Willis. I'd probably roll Herbert one more time versus the Bills,
57:08or at least I'd have them in the same tier. I do have to sit down, do my rankings this week. We'll see how that
57:12all shakes out. But I've gotten a lot of those questions. Here's what I'll say.
57:15Your only set and forget players.
57:16Hampton, he gets 20 plus touches in this game. He's going to be absolutely fine moving forward. Uh I I think that him
57:21getting to legendary status with, you know, your Kenneth Walker, JT, all those guys probably not going to happen. But can he be a fine, you know, single or
57:30double for where you draft him, I think, for sure. Uh, and then you have Lad McConi when he's healthy. Those are
57:34really the only two guys that are like must starts in this offense. Uh, but then we can talk about our 11th
57:38takeaway. Are the Panthers real or fake?
57:40And then some Falcons thoughts here.
57:43Panthers are tough because this is what we're talking about. Are you going to start Bryce Young? Are you going to start Justin Herbert? This is a real
57:48decision for a lot of people. Uh, Bryce Young is really tricky. He is beat up now on the Bears a bad defense and the
57:54Falcons a bad defense. Well, he gets the Cleveland Browns on the road and then he gets Detroit in Carolina. Two so- so
58:00defenses. The Cleveland Browns haven't looked amazing on defense. Trevor Lawrence shredded them. The Bucks have been all out of sorts, which we haven't
58:06talked about the Bucks much, but there I'm kind of exercising patience, but getting pretty concerned. Uh, but with the Panthers, it's really tough. We
58:14have this stat from Pat Thorman that says, "Currently, the Panthers lead the league in neutral pass rate. Through 15 weeks in 2025, they were at 31st. In the
58:21six games since, including the playoffs, 63.1%. that would have ranked first last year. So, we have a couple things going on here. One, they're unleashing Bryce
58:31Young more. They're letting him throw the ball more. They're letting him airer it out deep more. We have it against two
58:36defenses that are pretty bad, though.
58:40He's not adding much rushing. He did give you a rushing touchdown in week one, but this week he gives you one
58:45carry for six yards. So, it's purely through the air. You're going to need a 250 plus passing yard and two plus
58:50touchdown game. I'm not prepared just yet to say Bryce Young is that guy, but he absolutely needs to be picked up.
58:56Like if you I'll mention him on the Waverwire show. If you have a Justin Herbert, if you just lost a Jada
59:01Daniels, if you just lost your Caleb Williams, you go ahead and you pick Bryce Bryce Young up. He's going to be
59:06to me like a mid-range to high-end QB2 moving forward. Same with Tyler Shuck.
59:11Uh I think I roll Herbert out one more time, but I got to look at kind of what the projection shake out like, what the
59:15implied totals are like. Uh all of that.
59:18I'll also say on the other side of this game, a lot of questions about the Falcons. You have Drake London, you have
59:21Kyle Pittz. Bejon has a bust of a game for what his standards are. I think with the Falcons, you got to take everything
59:27as a grain of salt with a grain of salt until Pennix is back. We we've been dealing with Cooper Rush and then Jack
59:33Strand comes in. Seems like Penn is close to returning. I think until that happens, you can't get crazy. Um I don't
59:41know, maybe we're even hoping for Tua as well, but like here are the splits between Drake London not having Pennix and then having him. I think the minute
59:47Pennix comes back, London is a back-end wide receiver one. But if you drafted Drake London in like the mid to late
59:52second, you're really hurting right now because of this. And I don't know, it's one of these things where I wish I had
59:57something more comforting to say, but you are just praying for Penn. Um, and I think things will be a lot better. And
60:03then our last takeaway is Dolan Concincaid tight end two rest of the season. He really might be uh from J Zach here 68% and 69% route share in his
60:12first two games. That would be higher than any single game of 2025 for Don Concincaid. And then his yards per run
60:18is behind only JSN through the first two weeks. Just absolutely insane. He has a 25% plus target share on a 12 plus yard
60:27AOT, meaning he's getting a lot of his work downfield in big splash plays attached to Josh Allen. Josh Allen, the Dolan Concade might be the best stack in
60:34all of fantasy football. And of course, my little brother has that in my home league and I am spooked. Uh, I'll also
60:42say as we talk about tight end usage, uh, it is important to remember that Tucker Craft will be just fine. This
60:49just like something I wanted to just kind of throw in here at the end. I know Tucker Craft is someone that people are
60:53a little bit spooked on, but he goes from 48% Rap participation to 87% rout participation. This is like a whole convoluted discussion about target share
61:01versus route share early in the season.
61:04For receivers, like wide receivers and tight ends, we really care more about routes than targets this early in the year. Preferably, we'd have both, right?
61:10like in a perfect world we have all of it. Uh but 87% of the routes is really strong and I think now that Jaden Reed
61:16is hurt unfortunately Tucker Craft will get a boost here. So still holding on there. Also say Jameson Williams he has averaged 6.5 targets per game so far. He
61:23hasn't converted on those but that's still a really good target diet for Jameson Williams who is a very uh efficient receiver on targets usually.
61:34Uh, I will say the hopes we had for him to be like a high-end wide receiver too in 2026 are looking rough with how much
61:39Leaporto we've gotten, how much uh, running game we've gotten. He's probably more of the boom bust wide receiver three flex play he was in like 2024 uh,
61:48than like the wide receiver one top 12 point per game guy he was in the second half last year. But you live with the
61:53highs and lows with Jameson Williams. I wouldn't get spooked just yet. But that's going to do it for us. We say top
61:5910 lessons learned, but that was really more like 12. Regardless, when it's this early in the year, I just want to hop on
62:04here and empty my brain of everything that uh made sense to me. Let me know what I missed. Anything else you guys
62:09want to hear me talk about? I'll maybe cover it later on in the week. But appreciate you guys watching, of course.
62:13As always, leave a like, subscribe if you're new, and I'll see y'all in the next one.
62:25Oh yeah.
62:31Stones like this.
62:37I like frozen.
