0:11First off, welcome back. Welcome back to all the regulars.
0:14Welcome back to everyone. Thank you. If this is your first time tuning into the show or if you've been with me since the Talented Mr.
0:22Roto days, ESPN, NBC, now to this, I appreciate everyone.
0:25So thank you so much. So I, as people are, if you've followed me at all for any amount of time, you
0:33know that when I left ESPN, one of the reasons I did so is because I love ESPN, right?
0:39I still love ESPN. Great relationship. Root for those guys all the time.
0:43But I left ESPN at the time because I wanted to pursue fantasy life and the management, they're no longer there.
0:50But the management that was at ESPN at the time that I left was like, you can't be at both places.
0:56If you want to do fantasy life, you have to leave.
1:00So I chose to leave. And NBC, incredibly gracious, says, come over here and we'll let you do fantasy life.
1:06And so that was my plan was I was going to go to NBC, be part of football night in America, launch
1:13fantasy football, happy hour and grow fantasy life. Which because when I left ESPN, it was, you know, it was basically a newsletter.
1:21That was all it was. And and that's what's happened over the last four years.
1:26We've grown fantasy life and it's done incredibly well, so much so that I feel like it can now, you know, this
1:33was kind of the plan all along was that I could come and, you know, make a go of it.
1:39You know, I had an amazing four years at NBC, love them, still root for them, still many friends at NBC.
1:46But, you know, at the end of the day, honestly, for me, as a fantasy football guy, once you do a Super
1:53Bowl, I'm sort of like, well, what else is there?
1:56You know, I mean, I got to do a Super Bowl with NBC last year, did a number of NFL playoff games,
2:03you know, Sunday Night Football for four years. Incredible, awesome experience.
2:07Amazing. We'll always thank them for that. But I felt like that at this point, the only thing left to do was
2:14to be on my own, to to try to, you know, continue to grow fantasy life.
2:19And so the show. So that's what's going on with me is I'm at fantasy life full time for the for the first time in my career.
2:28Honestly, for the first time in my career, everything that I do is at one place.
2:33You're not going to have to. Oh, we'll go over here for this.
2:37But then this you have to watch this here.

3:41Jay, Connor, Lawrence, they're all still under contract NBC.
3:44And so they're going to be guesting with me occasionally.
3:48They'll pop on as guests. But unfortunately, we were not able to keep the band together.
3:53Business being what it is. Having said all that, having said all that, so, you know, I'm hoping you guys will, you
4:00know, grant me a little bit of grace here as the show is going to be a little bit different.
4:06Right now. And listen, raise the flag saying this isn't Mary's home bar behind not enough white wine.
4:12That's very true. Pinot Maddy is not happy with the current selection, but we're working on the bar.
4:18Raise the flags. We're working on the bar. We're working on the set.
4:22We're working on everything. I'm sort of driving the ship as we're building it.

4:32And so at least I think when we get to September, when the season starts, the show will be a little bit
4:39different than what you're going to see right now.

5:58But, you know, what other way to, you know.

6:05Lawrence, you got to be a company man. Oh, you already know I'm using every type of perk I could get, man.
6:12So, yeah, man. But what better way to perceive that than, you know, hop on the new edition of Fantasy Hour with the new bar.
6:20I see some Hennessy back there, too, now. Yeah.
6:23This is a true story, by the way. This is a true story.
6:27I don't know if I'm allowed to tell, but I'm going to tell it anyway.
6:32So one there was one night that I ended up.
6:35Yeah, I'm going to tell the story. All right.
6:38So I'll just it's very funny whenever you say Hennessy.
6:41Right. Like I was once talking with Shane Battier.
6:44Right. Shane Battier tells me the story. And he said that Greg Oden.
6:48You remember Greg Oden? Right. Yes, of course. Great.
6:51Greg Oden. That Greg Oden's favorite drink was Patronacy, which was Patron and Hennessy, like just mixing them together.
6:57And you're looking at me like, oh, that sounds gross.
7:00I can tell you it is gross. I tried it.
7:04We were all like we got to do this for Greg.
7:07So we were we were at a bar and we all ordered like, you know, shots Patron and Hennessy and put it together.
7:15And it was it was disgusting. But apparently that is Greg Oden's favorite drink, according to Shane.
7:20So sorry, Shane, if I wasn't supposed to tell that story.
7:24That that might explain a lot of things. Yeah.
7:27Anyway, Shane is a great guy. Shane's a great guy.
7:30I've never met Greg, but I was just like, you know, listen, you get a chance to do that drink.
7:36You might as well do it once. Right. All right.
7:39So here's what we're going to do for the show.
7:43Lawrence, to me and you, I got a little bit of news at the top that I want to get your reaction to as well.
7:51But we're going to talk today about the 10 players we can't stop drafting.
7:55You took five. I took five. And so we've all the best ball drafts we've done so far.
8:01It's got fishbowl. I've done some early drafts. Who are the five players that you are drafting the most this year?
8:08And I'll give you my five as well. But first off, let's talk a little bit of news.
8:14Debo Samuel, our friend of the podcast, Debo Samuel.
8:16He's been on the show twice. Debo Samuel back to the 49ers.
8:20It's a one year deal. Ricky Pearsall, of course, placed on injured reserve.
8:24Unfortunately, he's out for the year with that knee injury.
8:28So I'm just curious what you think about Debo here, Lawrence.
8:31Like last year, he was wide receiver 30 on a points per game basis.
8:36But if you remember, it was mostly because Terry McLaurin was hurt a lot and it was literally he was like the only guy they had.
8:44The fact is that the last time that he was in San Francisco, 2024, he was wide receiver 47 on a points per game basis.
8:52I'm curious what you think. Is this like more of a depth signing for the 49ers or could Debo Samuel be a fantasy asset this year?
9:01What an interesting thing you said about 2024, Matthew, is him finishing his wide receiver 47 compared to wide receiver 30 last year.
9:08I think the difference there was the early touchdowns that he got in the red zone.
9:13And so now he's back with the 49ers. Ricky Pearsall out for the season.
9:18Now we have Mike Evans who will be out for the rest of training caps.
9:22So now Debo Samuel becomes just a little bit more important.
9:26And we all know he knows the offense. He's you know, he comes in already as the veteran in the group.
9:33They lost Jawan Jennings. So, you know, you're looking at Debo.
9:36You're looking at the rookie that, you know, everybody criticized the 49ers for drafting Deshaun Stribling, you know.
9:42So, I mean, for now, at least, like he's got to have some type of road just because of him being familiar with that team in that offense.
9:51Yeah, certainly, you know, Stribbeling is somebody who's rising up draft boards.
9:55I mean, I have Stribbeling at wide receiver 62, so let's not get crazy.
9:59But again, like there's an opportunity here, to your point, about the fact that, you know, this is we think this is
10:07going to be one of the better offenses in the NFL.
10:10We like Brock Purdy. And there's just not that many guys out there that are going to catch the ball.
10:17You know, I wonder if they sign someone. I mean, they signed Debo.
10:21I wonder if there's another signing to come, right, with losing Ricky Pearsall for the season.
10:26But to your point, you know, again, we're waiting for Kittle to come back.
10:30Who knows when that actually happens. We'll talk about Mike Evans a little bit later.
10:35He's actually, believe it or not, he's one of my guys that I can't stop drafting.
10:40So, we're going to talk about him coming up a little bit later in the show here.
10:46But ultimately, I think I don't mind a flyer on Debo, to your point, because, again, it should be a very easy learning curve.
10:54As Stribling gets up to speed, Evans gets up to speed, you know, Shanahan's offense is fairly complicated.
10:59And so, Debo does have that familiarity with Brock Purdy and with Kyle's offense.
11:04So, again, I have him at wide receiver 52 right now.
11:07That's where I have him in my ranks. So, and I'm Stribling at wide receiver 62.
11:13But, again, it's just sort of something to keep an eye on there.
11:17All right, I want to get into, this isn't, it's not really a news item for us in fantasy here, right?
11:23But Chris Olave signs a four-year, $132 million extension through 2030.
11:27Jordan Tyson is back from the hamstring injury, so he's fine.
11:31He's practicing. In general, Lawrence, I'm pretty high on this Saints offense.
11:34I think there's a lot of fantasy value. I think people are sort of like, I think unless you had Chris Olave
11:41last year, he still has that, oh, this is a guy that always gets injured, right?
11:47You're not spending that kind of money if you have any long-term concerns about his health.
11:52Overall, I'm just, I wanted to use this as an excuse to talk about the Saints offense a little bit here.
11:59Lawrence, I like me some Chris Olave this year.
12:01And I like Jordan Tyson and, you know, Tyler Shuck I'm very, very high on.
12:06But I have Olave at wide receiver 14. I have him 30th overall.
12:10And I have Tyson at wide receiver 30th, 60-3rd overall in my ranks.
12:15Again, they're on FantasyLife.com. I'm a company man. When you look at the totality of this Saints offense, right, I feel like
12:22we're going to get surprisingly a lot of passing volume.
12:25It's just like kind of like Bo Nix in his second year, led the league in passing attempts per game.
12:31I think we could see that out of Tyler Shuck.
12:35You look at the kind of players they have.
12:38Look at their running backs. Travis Achan, right? They still got Alvin Kamara.
12:42They still got, they got. I'm not in on Achan.
12:45I'm not in on pronouncing his name that way.
12:48I'm just saying, I know what he said. I'm just saying, I think it's ETN.
12:53No one's asking me. Oh, yeah, yeah. I'm just like, no, I'm not saying out on the player.
12:58I'm just out on the pronunciation. Like, no, you have to do it when you first come to the league.
13:05Like, that's what Devon Achan did. Devon Achan, like, he was A-chain and then he had the big game and he asked, he said A-chan.
13:13Yeah. Devon A-chan. But, yeah, A-T-N, like, you're like, how do you get A-chan out of that?
13:18No, I'm sorry. I don't know. I don't know.
13:21But when you look at, like, you look at ETN, A-chan, we'll just call them Travis, right?
13:27But you got him. You got Kamara. Those are two running backs that are known for catching the ball out of the backfield.
13:34Both guys could even get in the slot sometimes.
13:37So you got a lot of pass catchers in this offense headed by Chris Olave.
13:42And the contract should make you feel, especially if you're a dynasty manager with Chris Olave, that contract should make you feel
13:49a lot better about his situation going forward. Because just in 2024, people were talking about, like, is this dude going to play football again?
13:57Well, I think he is for $132 million. So I like Chris Olave, even as the wide receiver one on my team,
14:04if I could come out first with, like, a top running back or two.
14:09Or if he's my wide receiver two. I like him in that instance.
14:13But I expect a lot of passing volume out of Tyler Shuck in this offense.
14:18I love Tyler Shuck. He is one of my favorite sleepers this year as kind of a late-round quarterback.
14:24You know, people forget this is a guy that was top 10 in fantasy points per game once he became the starter
14:31over the second half of the year. I see my old friend Aloha Bricks chiming in.
14:36He wants to know Baker Mayfield or Tyler Shuck.
14:39I say Shuck. I have Shuck at 17. I have Baker at 21.
14:43Shuck runs. Shuck runs more than you think. And I am a little nervous about this Buccaneers offense.
14:49We love Baker Mayfield, right? We love Baker Mayfield.
14:52But I'm a little nervous about this Bucs offense without Mike Evans.
14:56You know, Abuka. Like, just – we haven't seen Chris Godwin get back to being Chris Godwin yet.
15:01Hopefully he's fully healthy. But, like, Abuka was inconsistent last year.
15:05I'm hearing great reports about Ted Hurst, by the way.
15:08I think he's going to be a thing at some point this year.
15:12But I don't know, Lawrence. So, quarterback, I will say.
15:16But when you sit here and you go like, wow, you have Baker Mayfield at 21.
15:21I mean, quarterback is insanely deep this year. Insanely deep.
15:24Yeah. Yeah. And again, Baker Mayfield, another quarterback who's going to give you – I think him – matter of fact, I
15:31think that's a good question by Aloha Bridge because both of them should – they both got past catching running backs.
15:38They both going to throw the hell out of the football.
15:41So, it's a really good one to talk about.
15:44Tim Pritzker, 9671, says Matthew should change his last name to Beret, like the French hat.
15:49I like that. That should be. Hey, welcome to Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Berry.
15:55Take that, Travis A. Chan. If you change it to Matthew Beret, that's closer than ETN is to A.
16:01Chan. And furthermore, his brother, Trevor – I'm sorry.
16:04Yeah, Trevor ETN on the Carolina Panthers, he still goes by ETN if I'm not mistaken.
16:09Yeah, I think you're right. Yeah. So, we got to get the – next time they're at Thanksgiving, like you guys got to come up with a name.
16:18So, that's the Saints. We like the Saints. And then one last here, just a small thing here.
16:24I don't know if you saw this, Lawrence, but DeAndre Hopkins has been hired as an assistant wide receivers coach at Georgia Tech.
16:31I know him. I've interviewed him multiple times. He's awesome.
16:34He's just an awesome human being. Obviously, an amazing wide receiver.
16:38Over 1,000 receptions for his career, if this is it.
16:41And hopefully not. But if it is, over 1,000 receptions, over 13,000 yards, 85 receiving touchdowns, seven different years with over 1,000 receiving yards.
16:49He is top 20 all time in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
16:53Five different years, he finished as a top five fantasy wide receiver in points per game.
16:58He is a fantasy football legend. He's an awesome human being.
17:02So, just much love and good luck to DeAndre Hopkins.
17:05And we'll see what happens with Georgia Tech or his career if he ends up playing again in the NFL.
17:11I hope he does. But if not, just want to give a quick shout out and salute to DeAndre Hopkins.
17:18And I think what he'll be known for best, you know, when it comes up for his Hall of Fame time is
17:25that he was able to do it with anybody.
17:28He did it with all these different quarterbacks. He finally, he got Deshaun Watson in his early years.
17:33But DeAndre Hopkins was a guy who did it with the first string, the second string, and the third string quarterbacks.
17:40And he still put up those numbers. All right, Lawrence, let's start with this.
17:45And these are our 10 players that we can't stop drafting.
17:48Our 10 players that we can't stop drafting. And number one for you, Saquon Barkley.
17:53I agree with this. Saquon Barkley. But talk to me a little bit about Saquon, who is coming off of a down year for him.
18:01Yeah. And we're talking in the reason I'm talking about him here because I hell, I just saw him go in the
18:08second round of a draft of a bunch of fantasy football analysts.
18:12So it's the second round price for me, Matthew, which was the same as 2024 before he would rush for those 2000 yards.
18:19The interesting thing here, right, is despite the down year, he was, I guess, not guess.
18:25He still was a top 15 running back in fantasy points per game last year.
18:29The problem is that's not what we drafted him to be.
18:33But he still was a guy you had to start every weekend.
18:37Last year, Matthew, averaged 17 and a half carries last year compared to 2024, 21 and a half carries.
18:43That is a significant amount when you talk about the touches.
18:46Because if you just give him a number that's in between that 19 and a half, he's rushing for almost 1300 yards.
18:54The good thing about him this year, too, Matthew, he's got nine games this year versus teams that were bottom 12 defenses this year.
19:01A lot of those are in the NFC East, your commanders included.
19:05I'm sorry, but Saquon Barkley got a nice schedule coming up, got a new offensive coordinator.
19:10A.J. Brown's out the door, so that's one less star that you have to worry about getting those touches.
19:16He's only going to get you around 35 receptions, but that's baked in.
19:21We know that going in. We're depending on him getting those 20 carries a game, and we're depending on him getting back to breaking those long runs.
19:29Yeah, you know what? I mean, look, all the same things that, you know, I think we're on the same page here, right?
19:37You know, I'm a believer that, just overall, I'm a believer that the Eagles' offense is going to be a lot better this year under Sean Mannion, right?
19:46You know, the new offensive coordinator coming from Green Bay.
19:49I think, you know, again, we talked about the offensive line and how they should be a lot healthier this year.
19:56So, you know, I'm excited about that. You know, last year, just again, the problem with Saquon is he didn't have the long runs, you know?
20:04And so, I think with a better offensive line, like, I think the guy's still explosive.
20:09I think it'll be a more, you know, pass-heavy attack as well.
20:13So, we're in agreement on Saquon Barkley, by the way.
20:16I'm at running back seven, 13th overall. His current ADP, he's going at running back eight.
20:21His consensus ADP is like, you know, 15-16. So, the fact, again, I'm slightly higher on him than consensus.
20:28I'm at 13 versus 16, RB7 versus RB8. For me, Lawrence, one of the guys, speaking of running backs, give me Ken Walker.
20:35Give me K9. Give me KW3. Pick your nickname, whichever it is.
20:39But this is somebody who I believe. Look, think about this.
20:42When this guy is healthy, he is one of the best running backs in football, right?
20:47He's had 25 career games, kind of 25 career games with at least 18 touches, including the playoffs.
20:53In those games, he averages over 18 fantasy points per game, over 110 yards from scrimmage.
20:58And then you think about last year, how the explosiveness, right?
21:0215% of his rushes last season gained 10 or more yards.
21:06That was the third highest rate, right? The third highest rate among running backs with at least 100 carries.
21:12And in the Mahomes era, in the Mahomes era, the Kansas City Chiefs have been top 10 in red zone drives in all but one year.
21:20So there's going to be scoring opportunities. And how many times, Lawrence, would you and I be watching football on Sundays and
21:27we would sit there and we'd go like, why are they bringing in Kareem Hunt?
21:32Why are they letting him do this? I think, especially when you think about how much money they spent on Ken Walker.
21:39I'm a big, you know, follow the money, right?
21:42And so this is a Chiefs team that obviously has Super Bowl aspirations, as they do every single year.
21:48So why not go get the Super Bowl MVP?
21:51And so I'm just, I have him at 14 overall, Ken Walker, as running back eight.
21:56His consensus ADP is going basically 20th overall. I'm at 14 overall.
22:00And he's going as running back 11. Again, I'm at running back eight.
22:04So Ken Walker is somebody that I'm higher on than consensus.
22:08He's usually the first running back that I draft, you know, if I go wide receiver in the first round.
22:14And I just think he's going to have a monster year.
22:18I just think them paying him the money they did to make him the focal point.
22:23I'm not worried about any kind of, there's no vulture situation.
22:26There's not going to be any running back by committee.
22:30He's going to get a big workload. That's why they paid him.
22:33That's why they brought him in. And so when Andy Reid has committed to a running back, which he clearly is doing
22:40here, when Andy Reid is committing to a running back, that running back.
22:45I mean, like, listen, we should not know the name Sharkandrick West, but we do.
22:50Lawrence? He has some good games, too. He did.
22:52He did. That's my point. That's my point, Lawrence.
22:55He did have some good games. Yes, sir. And so thank you, Ryan Oswald.
23:00Someone has to do the running on KC. Mahomes isn't doing that anymore.
23:04Fair enough. He'll probably be a little more careful.
23:07But, yeah, I just, you know what I mean?
23:10Like, when you think about Spencer Ware, when you think about all the obscure running backs that Andy Reid has made fantasy relevant.
23:17Spencer Ware. Wow. Spencer Ware. That was a thousand yard back at some point.
23:22I'm just saying. I'm just saying. So, yeah, Ken Walker.
23:25I'm all in on Ken Walker. Lawrence, your thoughts, my friend?
23:28Yeah, I mean, look, why not go there, right?
23:31That playoff run that Kenneth Walker had, that's where he showed, like, hey, I could be the guy.
23:37I don't have to, you know, split touches with another guy who was drafted in the second round like myself.
23:44And you brought up Kareem Hunt. There was a game last year, not two years ago, last year.
23:49This man had 29 carries. And I think at that point, Andy Reid was saying to himself, he was like, you know what?
23:57I think it's time we go get us a running back for real so we could give him those 29 carries.
24:04And all of those, Kareem Hunt led the team in rushing touchdowns last year.
24:08That's going to be all Ken Walker. It's not going to be a split backfield, like you said, because they still did,
24:15you know, try to put Pacheco and, you know, get him in there every once in a while.
24:21But anytime Kenneth Walker is off the field this year, it'll be to be spelled.
24:26He's going to get a quick cup of that Gatorade.
24:29And he's going to get back on that field and get them carries.

25:00But we are back here with Lawrence Jackson at Lord Don't Lose from NBC Sports, talking about the players we can't stop drafting.
25:07And one of them for you, Lawrence, is Zay Flowers.
25:11Yeah, so Zay Flowers. I mean, when you talk about being tied for wide receiver 12 and fantasy points per game with C.D.
25:18Lamb, that should get people's antennas up, right? And this year, we talk about, I talked about Saquon Barkley's schedule a little earlier.
25:25Well, when you look at the Ravens' schedule, they have eight games this year.
25:30Eight. That's half of their games in almost a whole full fantasy season.
25:34Eight games versus bottom 12 defenses from last year.
25:37Now, obviously, teams made, you know, teams made moves.
25:40Like the Bengals got Dexter Lawrence to help that terrible pass defense.
25:44But Dexter Lawrence ain't gonna wreck every single play.
25:47Are these guys really gonna stop a player in Zay Flowers who their new head coach, Jesse Misters, said, we want to
25:54get him the ball as much as possible? Lamar Jackson said, I want this guy to have a great year.
26:00In fact, he said he want him to break records.
26:03So I think they're gonna do everything in their power to make sure that their top receiver, Zay Flowers, gets that ball.
26:10And so this is his time to kind of show that he's like, can he hit that elite tier or get close to that elite tier?
26:19And I think this year will be his best chance yet because his numbers get better every single year.
26:2529% target share last year. Top 10 among wide receivers.
26:28He actually was wide receiver nine in utilization score.
26:31So for people that are new, utilization score is something that was created by my friend and colleague now, my coworker at FantasyLife.com, Dwayne McFarland.
26:39And so it is a singular number that basically lets you know how much they're, it's not just how much are they
26:46used, but are they used in scoring position? How many fantasy points?
26:50You know, it's a very easy number to be like, this guy is very good.
26:55This guy isn't, whether it's fluky or not. So utilization score is really, really important.
27:00And he was wide receiver nine in utilization score, which is just a way to say that they're using him a lot.
27:07They're using him in scoring positions. They're using him, you know, he's running a ton of routes.
27:12He's earning a lot of targets. He's one of nine.
27:15Count him only nine wide receivers over the last three seasons to have at least 200 fantasy points in PPR each of the last three years.
27:24Now the concern Lawrence always on Zay Flowers is, will he score touchdowns?
27:28He's never been a big touchdown scorer. But to your point, maybe there's less competition now in the red zone.
27:34I'm a wide receiver 15, which is about where he's going.
27:38But I'm at 33 overall. His consensus ADP is 39.
27:41So I'm ahead of him in the overall. I have him right there as a mid-tier wide receiver too.
27:47But I'm with you, Lawrence. I think, you know, phenomenally talented wide receiver.
27:51And if he goes from like four or five touchdowns, can we get him to like seven or eight?
27:58All of a sudden, it becomes really, really interesting.
28:01You know, that's the – it shouldn't be that big a leap, again, if Lamar has the kind of season people expect.
28:08So one of mine – it's white wine, of course.
28:11Diet Coke? Yeah, no, because I'm worried I'll spill it.
28:14So that's just – that's some Pinot Grigio. So that's one of the things that's – by the way, is that like
28:21I could never – when I worked for corporate America, it wasn't allowed to drink on air.
28:27But now that I own the show, bottoms up, I tend to get hammered every single day.
28:32All right. And we talked about the Eagles offense earlier when it came to Saquon.
28:37But A.J. Brown is vacating a 29.5% target share, which I think is one of the reasons why we like Saquon.
28:44There's, you know, more to the ball to go around.
28:47But, you know, all four years that he was with Philadelphia, A.J.
28:51Brown's had at least a 28% target share, right?
28:54Yeah, that's right, Berks and Flannels. Two red solo cups to start the show.
28:58Again, like, bottoms up, brother. But the point about Devontae Smith here, right, is that so – you know, I mean, it's kind of sort of obvious stuff.
29:07But like, A.J. Brown's leaving a massive target share.
29:10And since 2022, you know, with the Eagles, when he sees at least a 30% target share, Devontae Smith, scores over 19 fantasy points a game.
29:18Like, it's not a bunch of numbers that tell you what you know.
29:23When a good wide receiver gets a lot of targets, he's going to produce fantasy points.
29:28And so, he's had 43 games in his career, Devontae Smith has, where he's gotten at least seven targets.
29:34And he averages over 80 yards in those games.
29:37And so, you know, I talked about this, my combine column, my, you know, 35 most interesting things I heard at the combine.
29:44One of the things I talked to a team source about, and then that's since been reported by other people that cover
29:51the team, the same thing that I reported, which is that internally, the Eagles believe that Devontae Smith, as good as he's been, has another gear.
30:00That if Devontae Smith could ever get the kind of target share and volume that Jackson Smith and Jigba got last year,
30:07Devontae Smith could have that kind of year. So, I've Smith at wide receiver 12.
30:12I'm 27th overall. His consensus ADP is 34. So, I'm higher on him than both positionally and in the overall.
30:18And I just, I think a monster season is coming for Devontae Smith.
30:22As I said, the Eagles have also been such a run-heavy team.
30:26And I think under Sean Mannion, former NFL quarterback Sean Mannion, they're going to throw more.
30:31They'll still be run-heavy. But if they could get to, like, you know, 22nd in passing versus, like, 32nd.
30:37They've always been, like, one of the lowest teams in the league in terms of pass attempts.
30:43So, if they just get, like, you know, middle of the pack or even, like, bottom third but just not last, I
30:50think the increased volume of the offense, a better offense, and him being the alpha.
30:55I know we like Makai Lemon. I kind of think Dontavian Wicks is kind of sneaky, you know, being reunited with Sean Mannion.
31:02But Goddard's still there. Whatever. Whatever. It's going to be the Devontae Smith show in Philadelphia.
31:07I actually think if I had to guess who your ride or die was going to be this year, I would guess Devontae Smith.
31:15I will tell you that he is my favorite player to draft this year in fantasy.
31:20He's on your list here, but he's my favorite player to draft as well, too.
31:25And you talked about those four years with A.J.
31:28Brown. He averaged 1,000 yards every single year despite, you know, surrendering the 28%, 29% target share to A.J.
31:34Brown. He still averaged 1,000 receiving yards. So, if I had something like a ride or die, if it was, like, Lawrence's
31:41big dog at the draft or something, it would be Devontae Smith.
31:45Well, I will tell you that he is on the short list for ride or die.
31:50There's a number of people, and a lot of the people you're hearing us talk about today are all under consideration.
31:57But he's certainly under consideration here. Yeah. Brian Hickman says, serious question, masked in humor.
32:02Are the Eagles actually going to throw the ball this year?
32:05I think they will. Brian, I do think they will.
32:08Again, I think Sean Mannion, when you have an offense coordinator who comes in and says, eh, last guy got fired.
32:15Hmm. Do I want to get fired? No. What did the last guy do?
32:20Last guy didn't throw the ball. Hmm. Maybe I should throw the ball.
32:24So, I do think they will be more progressive throwing the ball this year.
32:28All right. We have to speed up a little bit here, Lawrence.
32:32Talk to me about Tyler Warren. Two first names, always a crowd pleaser.
32:36But you keep drafting a lot of Tyler Warren.
32:39Yeah. Tyler Warren, I think he started out guns a-blazing, right?
32:43His play dipped in his last nine games. It's only one game over 60 yards receiving in that stretch.
32:49But I think that kind of correlated with Daniel Jones.
32:52So, if Daniel Jones could get off to another hot start, I think Tyler Warren's going to – I don't know how
32:59much he can outplay his ADP, but he's a guy that'll go out there and get you eight, nine hundred receiving yards with 75 catches.
33:07Yeah, I totally agree, right? I mean, the other thing is, like, we like Josh Downs, but, you know, Michael Pittman no longer there.
33:1528% red zone target share. 19 red zone targets.
33:18That's fourth most among tight ends. We need Daniel Jones to be healthy, but so far it looks like he's going to be.
33:25And so just, you know, assuming Pierce is back and can stretch the field, like I like the middle of the field
33:32for Downs and Warren quite a bit. It would not shock me if Tyler Warren ends the year with the most receptions of anyone on the Indianapolis Colts.
33:41Had 76 last year. It's fourth most by a rookie in NFL history, right?
33:46So, I have another tight end, by the way, Lawrence, that I keep drafting.
33:50How about some Colston Loveland, right? The two rookies from last year, the two big rookies, Loveland and Warren, those are the guys we're talking about here.
33:59Four of the five games that he saw at least a 20% target share.
34:04This includes the playoffs. He had at least 20 fantasy points.
34:07Averaged over almost nine yards per target last season.
34:10And over his final eight games, felt like he finally came into his own.
34:15Remember, they were screwing around with Cole Komet. And you're like, what are we doing?
34:19Like, free Colston Loveland. They finally did over the final eight games, including the playoffs.
34:24I'm very bullish. Chicago sports team. I'm very bullish on the Bears this year as an offense.
34:30I'm a Ben Johnson believer. I think Caleb has a big year.
34:34I think Luther Burden has a monster year. You know, a Dunzee obviously is a, you know, a guy that was drafted in the top 10 overall.
34:42And I think Colston Loveland, who I have at tight end three, 38 overall.
34:47He's going 42 overall in the consensus. So I'm higher than him on the consensus.
34:52He's generally the tight end three across the industry.
34:55But, you know, everyone's got Bowers and McBride obviously is the top two.
34:59But I think Colston Loveland's going to have a big year, Lawrence.
35:03Yeah. And he's more explosive than you think at the tight end position.
35:07So, Matthew, as you're getting the sippy sip on right there, I'll go with my next guy, Kenneth Gainwell.
35:13Just for some value, especially the PPR leagues. Talk about a guy, 73 receptions last year.
35:18He will threaten Bucky Irvin to lead that backfield in receptions.
35:22Not touches, but receptions. Because they're either paying him almost $10 million for one year or $14 million for two years.
35:28He had a career year last year, 1,000 yards from scrimmage.
35:32They're going to use him well. He's going to work well with Baker Mayfield.
35:36And they'll help alleviate some of the, you know, losing the Mike Evans.
35:41You can't replace Mike Evans, but Kenneth Gainwell will help a little bit.
35:45There's no question about it. I have a pretty good Tampa Bay team source who told me Gainwell is looking awesome.
35:51They love him. They expect to use him in a lot of ways, not just as a third down back.
35:58You know, they talk about the fact of, like, how good he is, you know, between the tackles.
36:04You know, people are surprised by that, especially given his size.
36:07And so, yeah, I mean, I still think Bucky Irving is the lead running back, obviously.
36:12If you ask me which Tampa Bay running back ends with most fantasy points, I'd still say Bucky Irving.
36:19But I'm with you on Gainwell. I think he's going to be a value.
36:23I'm at running back 33. He's currently going as running back 36.
36:27So I'm one-on-one overall. Again, I think, but as you're, you know, I think he's a viable flex play in 12-team or deeper leagues.
36:35I think he, you know, as you're running back four or five.
36:38Really like Kenneth Gainwell. Again, last year, top five among running backs in targets, receptions, and receiving yards.
36:44And the man got paid. We like the Bucs offense.
36:48And to your point, with Mike Evans out, you know, we talked about Baker a little bit earlier.
36:53Like, Gainwell is going to be one of those guys that I think they're going to have to count on.
37:00I'm not. I think that Sean Tucker will just basically be a Bucky insurance back.
37:05I think it's going to be the Bucky and Gainwell show.
37:08Free Sean Tucker. I agree. I don't know why they won't let him go more, but they don't, unfortunately.
37:14And that is from Akito. You'll have that one week.
37:17You're going to have that one week. He is.
37:20You know he is. All right. Let me move on to one of mine here, Lawrence.
37:25And that is Lad McConkie. Daniel Popper, who covers the Chargers for The Athletic, does a great job.
37:31I'm paraphrasing here, but basically he believes that the Chargers passing offense is going to run through McConkie.
37:37Right? And I just, I'm a big Mike McDaniel believer, especially in terms of how he can design an offense, how he can create.
37:45I think he is so good at finding ways to create separation for his receivers, to take advantage of yards after the catch.
37:52And I'm not saying Lad McConkie is Tyreek Hill or Jalen Waddell.
37:56Obviously, he's not fast as either of those guys.
37:59But I think in terms of how he designs plays, both those guys, Hill and Waddell, both rank top 10 in yards per route run under McDaniel.
38:08I think Herbert's going to have a monster year.
38:11He's already had a monster year. He's engaged to Madison Beer.
38:14Right? You know, so God bless Justin Herbert. But I just think McConkie is going to have, you know, no Keenan Allen there.
38:22I think there's less target competition. I think he's going to be the number one pass catching option for Justin Herbert.
38:28I think this offense is going to be a lot better under Mike McDaniel, a lot more balanced.
38:34So I'm a big believer in Lad McConkie. I'm at wide receiver 18 this year, 40th overall.
38:40He's currently going 45th overall as wide receiver 20.
38:42So your thoughts on Lad McConkie. You mentioned how he's not as fast as Tyreek or Jalen Waddell, and that is very true.
38:50But he's pretty damn fast. And if they start to get him the ball like they did those two guys, like let
38:57him catch and run, you know, just not all, you know, go routes and post.
39:02Let Lad McConkie catch and run and show that explosiveness because he's clearly, he's their most explosive offensive weapon, man.
39:08He's going to do something. He'll do better than what he did as a rookie, which was, you know, pretty damn good.
39:15No question about that, Lawrence. All right, YouTube, stay with us one more time.

39:37And I love this one for you. Casey Concepcion.
39:39Now, you know me. I grew up in College Station, Texas.
39:43I love me some Aggies. I watched a lot of college football.
39:47I watched a lot of Casey Concepcion. This guy is a hell of a player.
39:52Yeah, man. And if you've seen any of these clips of these catches that he's making in training camp, it's a reason to get excited.
40:00And to be honest, Denzel Boston, too, they already look like they appear to be.
40:05I don't know if they are. They appear to be the Browns' two best receivers.
40:09But Casey Concepcion is a guy that I think has a great chance to lead this Browns team in receptions.
40:16I keep on saying he's going to be a good fantasy pick if the Browns start the correct quarterback.
40:22And right now, Matthew, it's looking like it should be my boy.
40:26Should do her. Let me put up the wrist of my watch on it.
40:30It should be my boy, number two. They're already building a good connection.
40:34But it's like, just like we said about Ladd McConkie, get him the ball, let him run.
40:40But if you want to, you know, take it deep, can he go up and get a 50-50 ball as a smaller receiver?
40:47Yes, he could do that. Like Antonio Brown used to do it.
40:51So he's already lining up in the slot. Fantasy guys, we love the slot, right?
40:56He's lining up with the ones in the slot.
40:59When they go 11 personnel, that's been a fact.
41:02So just later in your drafts, last few picks, Casey Concepcion is a guy you want to take a flyer on.
41:09No question about that. I mean, like if you think about Todd Munkin when he was the offense coordinator for the Ravens, right?
41:16Baltimore under Munkin when he was there. Baltimore wide receivers second in yards for reception.
41:21They were seventh in A dot and yards after the catch per reception.
41:25Like he is very good. Again, it's similar to McDaniel in designing ways to get his guys the ball in space.
41:32And so Concepcion, I bet you see him on some screens.
41:35You'll see him on some sweeps. They will do some gadgety stuff with him to take advantage of his speed.
41:42So there's a lot of different things you can do with him.
41:46I'm a wide receiver 50. Again, we'll see how good this offense is, how often they're in scoring position.
41:52But I love him in dynasty and definitely worth kind of a late round flyer, if you will, in redraft.
41:58So we talked about this earlier at the top of the show, Lawrence.
42:02One of the guys that I can't stop drafting is Mike Evans.
42:06I've always loved Mike Evans, you know, going back to College Station, Texas, right?
42:11Giga Maggie's Mike Evans. But, you know, this comparison has been made by me and other people.
42:16I'm not the only one to think this, but I think he is this year's Devontae Adams.
42:22I think that, you know, he becomes the immediate red zone threat for the 49ers, right?
42:27Last year, in the seven full games that he played, 44% of his team's end zone targets, 26% target share.
42:33He's always, you know, he's a guy that's as good at winning a 50-50 ball as anyone in the NFL.
42:40And this is the point. When they get in close, that's what the 49ers like to do.
42:45Over the last three years, San Francisco is third in red zone passing touchdowns.
42:50And so I just think he's going to get a ton of cheap passing touchdowns, especially, by the way, when you think
42:57about they just lost Ricky Pearsall for the year.
43:00We're not sure when George Kittle's going to come back.
43:03Obviously, you've got McCaffrey there, but Mike Evans would be the number one option for what I think is going to be a very good offense.
43:11So, yeah, give me some Mike Evans. I'm at 25 overall.
43:15I'm at 48th overall in the consensus and wide receiver 25.
43:18He's currently going after pick 61 in consensus ADP.
43:21So I'm fairly high on him in the overall.
43:24I think he's going as wide receiver 27. So higher on him in consensus and in ADP.
43:30Big fan of Mike Evans this year. Needs to stay healthy, as we always say.
43:34But I think he's got something to prove this year.
43:38As long as Mike Evans is playing in the NFL, I will continue to target him in fantasy drafts, Matthew.
43:44And you know how I like to draft. I load up on these running backs, right?
43:49So if Mike Evans was my wide receiver 2 on my fantasy team, I'm feeling pretty good.
43:55I also feel pretty good about Brock Purdy this year.
43:58So that kind of, you know, that relates to that as well.
44:02I think these two will have a good connection.
44:05And like you said earlier, him plus targets in the end zone equals money.
44:09Still at his age right now, no one's proven that they can stop him at that goal line.
44:15No, they absolutely haven't. So Brooklyn Brawler saying, I'll take him if he's right there.
44:20Oh, thanks, Brooklyn Brawler. Appreciate that. Thanks. Thanks for being willing to draft Mike Evans.

45:41But I think Kayla Williams, they make it interesting this year.
45:45I think it'll be something to shock us a little bit.

45:53But the truth is, is that I, you know, I don't love to do it, but I'm going chalk here.
45:59Good to be honest with you. Like, I don't know how if the Rams stay healthy.
46:04I don't know how they they don't get there.
46:07Right. I just if they stay healthy. And that's the big if, of course.
46:12But I'm taking the Rams and I'm taking the Rams and the Bills.

46:21But it's still generally speaking, if you look across as all the sports books, it's generally 10 to one for either the Ravens or the Bills.
46:29And even the Rams are, you know, basically like plus 500, plus 550, wherever you see them.
