Bryce Young

NegativeProjection33:43

Ted Hurst views Bryce Young as being in a similar tier to Cam Ward and Michael Penix regarding dynasty upside, though he notes Carolina's franchise appears to be moving in a better direction than the others.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection17:37

Cam Ward is viewed as a breakdown in dynasty value after failing to break the 200-yard passing mark in any of his first three games. The host questions his prospect status, noting that he is currently ranked ahead of established veterans like Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff in some crowdsourced rankings, which the host considers an overvaluation.

Insight page
NegativeValue33:33

Ted Hurst is out on Cam Ward, noting he lacks elite rushing upside and has struggled through his first two seasons. Hurst would trade Ward for Sam Darnold and suggests moving Ward for Fernando Mendoza immediately, even if it requires adding a 2027 second-round pick or equivalent value.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

PositiveBreakout47:24

Ted Hurst is highly bullish on Fernando Mendoza, citing his potential to be elevated by the Raiders' coaching staff. Hurst recommends trading for him immediately, even suggesting a package of Cam Ward plus a 2027 second and third-round pick.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue19:10

George Kittle is highlighted as a preferred dynasty asset over younger, unproven prospects like Colston Loveland. The host advocates for buying Kittle on the injury discount to rely on established production rather than taking high-priced swings on rookies.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveValue45:52

Jadarian Price is a buy-low candidate despite early-season fumbling issues and a committee-based role in Seattle. While he is not a workhorse back, his explosive potential and involvement in the passing game—evidenced by a deep wheel route target immediately following a fumble—suggest he remains a valuable asset for dynasty rosters.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveBreakout41:49

Ted Hurst highlights Jaxon Smith-Njigba as a prime example of why dynasty managers should be patient with young players, noting that after a slow start, he has developed into one of the best wide receivers in the league.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveUsage67:05

Juwan Johnson is experiencing a career resurgence in the Saints' offense under Tyler Shuck, benefiting from the team's scheme and Shuck's willingness to push the ball downfield.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveUsage13:30

Keaton Mitchell showed higher efficiency than Amari Hampton in Week 3, recording 52 yards on only eight opportunities and scoring an end-around touchdown for the Chargers.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

PositiveUsage45:46

Ted Hurst praises Kirk Cousins' performance under the new coaching staff, noting consistent production with 248-253 yards and three touchdowns in recent weeks despite his age and injury history.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeProjection33:43

Ted Hurst does not see a significant difference between Michael Penix and Cam Ward in terms of dynasty upside, placing both in a category of quarterbacks with questionable team systems.

Insight page

Noah Fant

PositiveUsage67:16

Noah Fant is consistently finding the end zone in the current Saints offense, making him a relevant fantasy asset according to the hosts.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

PositiveValue35:14

Ted Hurst prefers Sam Darnold over Cam Ward, citing Darnold's recent 30-point fantasy performance as evidence of higher production potential compared to Ward's first two seasons.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveValue3:52

Ted Hurst's dynasty value is likely to dip in the short term due to Baker Mayfield's throwing hand injury. The passing volume in Tampa Bay is expected to fall off a cliff, which may cause casual dynasty players to lose interest, creating a potential buy-low opportunity in about two weeks.

Insight page
PositiveUsage5:32

Ted Hurst has maintained a strong snap share (75%, 74%, 75% over the first three weeks) and is heavily involved as the Buccaneers' WR3. Despite being a smaller school prospect, he has earned consistent targets, including a 40-yard touchdown in Week 3, proving he has the chops to compete early in his rookie season.

0:00What is good? We're back for another episode of Dynasty Price Check Stan and Big Co.
0:05FFD. Breaking it down for you. I'm here doing my best Casey impression to right the ship, steer us in a direction
0:11that makes sense for the viewers and for us as a Dynasty group today.
0:16Talking about young breakouts versus breakdowns. Week 3 is in the books.
0:19We've now seen enough out of some of these young players to start to form our opinions, see if some of our
0:26prospect scouting is going to come to fruition. You know, maybe we're going to label a few of these guys bust.
0:32Maybe we're going to label a few of these guys as must buys.
0:36We're going to talk about all the good stuff here today.
0:39Bico, thanks for coming on with me again, Matt.
0:42How you doing? Man, doing good. You know, talking about rookies and talking about draft values or rookie pick values or, you
0:48know, just going with the ebbs and the flows of the Dynasty season is where it's at.
0:54Sometimes it's an ebb. Sometimes it's a flow. Absolutely.
0:56Well, hey, speaking of flow, we finally got targets flowing in the direction of Ted Hurst over here.
1:02Okay. And targets that turn into touchdowns. Only one catch this week, but he scores you some fantasy points.
1:07All right. He, he goes and gets that 40 yard reception for a touchdown, three targets, but hey, he had seven targets last week.
1:15So far, we're starting to see this, you know, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense utilize a guy that, yeah, bit of a smaller
1:21school prospect, but we thought he had the chops to compete in the league.
1:25How do you feel about what you've seen out of Ted Hurst so far?
1:29And, and give me, give me a little dynasty insight on where you're at with Ted Hurst these days.
1:35I know Shev's a big fan over there. Yeah, man.
1:38It has been a consistent drumbeat, right? Shev was probably on Ted.
1:42Ted, Shev and Casey are always going to be in or out on the rookies quicker than myself because they do the film.
1:49They start the film study way earlier. If I do any at all, right.
1:53Um, it's mine is more of a market watch situation, uh, like yourself, you're a stud.
1:58So I appreciate the angles that you bring as well.
2:01But like Ted Hurst is, you know, what turned into a late second round pick later in the off season was a
2:07third round pick early in the off season. If, if not a late third, uh, the drumbeat was going, as I mentioned,
2:14and, and like, we have this idea of Baker Mayfield being a 35 touchdown pass quarterback.
2:19Right. So we, you know, you got a Buka and I was big on the idea of Chris Godwin coming back.
2:25You got the vacancy of the all the hall of famer, Mike Evans leaving.
2:29So I was very interested in just the path.
2:32And Jalen McMillan's been good. Every time he's been needed by the books when he's healthy, he's been a stud.
2:38So I was trying to figure out even in the early, I had a handful of Ted Hurst in the last couple
2:44of rounds of my underdog teams this year, trying to stack up with a cheap Baker Mayfield.
2:49So you have the wild timing here of Ted Hurst being a, everything that some people wanted him to be in more
2:56than most people thought he could be this early in his rookie season.
3:00And, but Baker Mayfield's thumbs headed the wrong direction.
3:03So those things happened at the same time. So, like you said, Ted hurts a lot of targets last year, last week.
3:09I didn't see the game yet this week for the book.
3:12So I'm going to throw it back to you about the, even the catch.
3:17I haven't even seen the highlight of Ted's catch.
3:19I was at the in-laws who were about to take a month long trip to your home state.
3:25They're going to go up to Washington for a month.
3:28So I'd take the kids up there and let them hang out yesterday.
3:32So I didn't see the bucks game. But I've liked Ted Hurst, not as much as Chevy Casey, but I've appreciated the
3:38drum beat and he's certainly moving up and what you might do here.
3:42And this is how you have to play it.
3:45Of course, as you know, you've been doing this a long time too.
3:49The pass catchers are going to take a hit without Baker.
3:52There's just no way that they're not that two weeks from now, the casual dynasty player and those two are kind of
3:59harder to come by than you would, than you would think.
4:02But there are casual dynasty players out there. They're going to not even know who Ted Hurst is in two weeks because
4:08the passing volume should probably fall off the cliff.
4:11Maybe Ted Hurst goes out there with, what is it?
4:14Jalen. And now he's crushing, but I doubt it.
4:17And I think Ted Hurst could be gotten on your dynasty team a lot cheaper in two weeks than he would be
4:23today because I think without Baker, the passing offense is probably going to create a pretty good.
4:28Yeah, no, you just brought up a really good point there.
4:32And I think it's a great shout because you had Ted Hurst and so far this season, I've really liked what I've seen, right?
4:39I think we put an unrealistic expectation on rookies these days with how much hype we give them during the offseason, right?
4:46I mean, we're a bunch of talking heads. We got to fill the time, right?
4:50We got excited about a bunch of these prospects.
4:53And so, you know, for our hardcore dynasty members out there, you know, the names of Ted Hurst and Caleb Douglas and
4:59these guys were starting to creep into your mind.
5:02And you're thinking, hey, maybe they'll deliver for me.
5:05I mean, we get blessed too often, I think, these days.
5:08You know, and I talk about it often on my channel as well about, you know, are these rookies and these young
5:15guys, is it always a sign of the future or is it a flash in the pan, right?
5:20Because you really don't know. And we've had instances over the last few years now, right?
5:25I think tight ends, right? You had Brock Bowers right out of the gate.
5:29He hits. Sam Laporte right out of the gate.
5:32He tight end one finish, right? And I think we've been spoiled by rookies these days.
5:36Guys that come out and just immediately deliver for you.
5:39Long are the days where we used to have to wait three, four, five years for these guys to materialize to be anything on your roster.
5:47But you make a great point about Ted Hurst here because he's a player that, yeah, in the immediate, he's already seen snaps.
5:54He's seen, you know, a volume of target coming his way.
5:57And, you know, even in the first two weeks, 75 snap percentage, 74 snap percentage, and he lands with 75 again this week.
6:04So this is a guy that's heavily involved right out of the gate as a wide receiver three for the Bucs.
6:10Now, 22 years old, 6'3", great prospect profile, you know, super physical.
6:14Shev's told you the whole lot here, and I don't need to glaze him too much on his great shout for Ted
6:21Hurst here, even though he's done a great job on that one.
6:24I just think what you mentioned there is Baker Mayfield's going to miss some time here.
6:29And even after missing some time, there is no guarantee that he is going to be the player he was before for the rest of this season.
6:37This is an injury. Baker, you're talking about Baker.
6:40Yeah, Baker. This is an injury on his throwing hand.
6:43You know, we watched, I know, I'm a Seattle Seahawks fan, like you alluded to.
6:47I know what that finger injury did to Russell Wilson at the end of his career in Seattle.
6:53And there's a large portion of the population, myself included, that really saw that as the turning point for the downfall before the trade and everything like that.
7:01Now, I'm not saying Baker's on the same trajectory right after signing a deal here.
7:06All I'm saying is that you might see a significant hit for a lot of these Bucs pass catchers, and Ted Hurst might just be fading into oblivion.
7:14And so I like the signs of encouragement we've seen out of him in the first three weeks.
7:19I've seen enough out of him that I'm comfortable sending some offers, especially like you mentioned.
7:24If people are going to start forgetting who he is in two weeks, you might have a nice, quote unquote, buy low opportunity on Ted Hurst here, right?
7:33So I think it's important to watch that. Now, I'm not sitting screaming at you that he's at 11 targets and you
7:39need to be chasing him and sending the farm away.
7:42But, you know, three targets in week one, seven targets in week two, three targets in week three here finds the end zone.
7:49I think it's about as good as you can ask for in a team with Amika Buka and Chris Godwin and, you
7:56know, some of these pretty flashy fantasy names there all being considered.
7:59So I'm not going to burn the whole episode here on Ted Hurst, but it was an easy one to start with
8:06and also to cover some of that Baker Mayfield injury news.
8:09Let's hop over same state here. We're going to stay in Florida.
8:13All right. Bashal Tootin is a guy that has kind of been flying up the board recently.
8:18He comes out. He looks pretty encouraging again this week.
8:21So, you know, he finds his largest point total of the season so far, even only playing 48 percent of the snaps,
8:27but goes 15 attempts for 73 yards. That's a little over 4.8 yards a carry.
8:32So the efficiency metrics looked pretty good this week.
8:34Finds a rushing touchdown. He adds two passes caught to that tally as well for 17 yards.
8:40And at this point, you know, he's a guy that is just winning that running back battle over Chris Rodriguez there.
8:46Now, I do want to caveat and say to the viewers out there that were only watching red zone or missed all the games here.
8:53Trevor Lawrence decided to take a knee at the one yard line with eight minutes to go in the game.
8:59And that gave Tootin a chance to punch the ball and get that rushing touchdown.
9:04So had that not happened and Trevor just taken that walk-in touchdown that he had, we maybe would be talking about Bashal
9:10Tootin in a little bit of a different light, a little bit less explosive of a start to the season.
9:16But I do want to include that. That all being considered, where are you at on Tootin here?
9:22Are you validated? Are you selling for profits? Are you bought in?
9:25Good point for the non-watchers because even if this was week eight, obviously that whole lead in there conversation will be different.
9:32But being in week three, that touchdown drastically changes the points per game.
9:36So when you're just looking, you know, if you're just looking at stats and leaders and points and stuff like that, it makes a difference in three weeks.
9:44I don't have a whole lot of shares to sell, Stan.
9:47I wasn't buying the Tootin. I couldn't buy his price tag last year.
9:51I got a pretty good diversity in my rookie drafts for the summer.
9:55I'm spread out pretty good. And by the time he came around and got so expensive, I got no expensive shares last year as a rookie.
10:03Even though I like the idea of the running back in this room.
10:07And then this year, I was heavily invested in very, very cheap Chris Rodriguez.
10:11I just bought him in all my underdog and all the last three or four rounds of the best ball leagues this
10:18year because I want a piece of this offense.
10:20So I can start to buy in just based on usage.
10:24Like the numbers don't lie. And every week he's dominated.
10:27I liked a little bit of the idea of Chris Rodriguez not getting the ball down the stretch last week because they didn't need him.
10:34You know, or maybe that was after week one.
10:37And like they just see Rod. They're blowing the Patriots out.
10:40See Rod gets the touchdown here. That's fantastic. But I just I think it is a more Tootin than I wanted it to be.
10:47And I've been fading him. And, you know, when that when that ship sails, you just pull against him all season long.
10:54So the other people in your league that have Tootin don't have too many points per game in their lineup.
11:00So, yes, I'm going to eat a little bit of crow on the Tootin fade and hope that it he doesn't explode too much.
11:07Right, Stan? Hey, I'm right there with you. In fact, you know, the viewers know, well, I was a fader of Tootin.
11:14But it was like you said, it is majority just being that I don't like buying these guys inflated values in the offseason.
11:21And I was watching Tootin go as early as the late sixth round, early seventh round in these dynasty startups.
11:27And, you know, I'm just still seeing a lot of players on the board that I really like in that range.
11:33You know, I'm typically a quarterback punter to some degree in my dynasty startup strategy.
11:37And so I like grabbing myself a Jared Goff at the 701, you know, and I'm watching Tootin go two picks beforehand.
11:44And I'm like, come on, we're playing Superflex and you're letting a quarterback.
11:48It's got four top 10 finishes in a row drop down the board for a 24 year old running back prospect that
11:54we haven't seen carry a workload yet. I mean, you know, I think it's like context dependent here for the Tootin fade.
12:01I mean, if you can buy him for pennies on the dollar, I got no problem taking the opportunity.
12:07It's just it's just the market, like you mentioned before.
12:10So, you know, I'll eat some crow there as well for for fading him.
12:14But, you know, the start's been encouraging there. And I think the Bashal Tootin, you know, believers out there can can start waving the flag right now.
12:22But I do think that touchdown is important context.
12:25So I'm glad we covered it at least. Yeah, agreed.
12:28Yeah. Well, speaking of running backs that have, you know, been a little hot and cold here, we got we got to look over in Los Angeles.
12:36All right. We're jumping from Florida all the way to L.A.
12:39and this Chargers team sucks. There is no nice, easy way to put it.
12:43They're bad. They're own three. They do not look capable on offense.
12:47I think everybody was expecting this Mike McDaniel hire to be the saving grace for Justin Herber and Amari and Hampton and the second coming of Devon A.
12:55Chan and all these things we heard in the offseason that jacked Amari and Hampton up to this, you know, one to turn dynasty startup value ADP.
13:03And I see people trading multiple first round picks for Amari and Hampton out there.
13:08Well, he's come out and been largely a disappointment.
13:10All right. He finds the end zone in the first two weeks.
13:14He doesn't this week. But even with a touchdown the first two weeks, you know, he gives you eight points in the
13:21first week and and just shy of 20 points in this in the second week.
13:25But this week comes out six points. He goes, you know, on 15 attempts for 56 yards.
13:30Keaton Mitchell was actually a lot more efficient. He only had eight opportunities, but he went for 52 yards and also found that end around touchdown there.
13:38So I think the question's got to be asked, was the dynasty community too high on Amari and Hampton?
13:44And what are you doing with them right now?
13:47Like, are you sitting and holding them? Are you panic selling a little bit?
13:51I mean, I'm sitting over here wishing I had taken the final two shares I owned of Hampton and flipped him for
13:57Ken Walker right before the season started. But, you know, those days are gone.
14:02For sure. No doubt. You know, the question ended up being, were we were, you know, where is he overvalued?
14:08Currently, yes. Currently, maybe no, because you're ready to ship him off cheap.
14:11The thing before he got hurt last year, he looked really, really good.
14:15Yep. So what we saw out of rookie Hampton was really nice looking.
14:19Right. And then he got hurt. Is he 100% right now?
14:23I don't know. So was he was, was it Chargers offense with Mike McDaniel coming over supposed to be, you know, wheels up?
14:29Yes. Like, so it comes back down to expectation management.
14:32And right here, I think rightfully so our expectations were super inflated.
14:36We saw a really good rookie running back. Look really, really good.
14:40Get the lion's share of everything. Mike McDaniels comes in.
14:43Supposed to be even better. Supposed to be inventing plays we've never even seen yet.
14:47And then, so now he's not catching passes. He's got two on the season.
14:51He is getting there. There's like, if you watch, there's times where he's got some speed coming through the line of scrimmage
14:58and he'll get five or six yards. But then just the whole offense is gone.
15:02One of the reasons the expectations were as elevated as they are is because of Justin Herbert.
15:07You just paired a top, supposedly a top five.
15:10And I, and I was, dude, I was doing this.
15:13I was, I was doing it. I'm like, we haven't seen Justin Herbert with a Mike McDaniels.
15:18We haven't seen Justin Herbert and this system have a system.
15:21They've just been out there playing ball and Justin Herbert's up and down, but when he's his good, like the old SVP
15:28Scott Van Pelt, how good is this good? You know?
15:31And like Justin Herbert, I don't think many people would say he's not a top five upside quarterback.
15:36Does he give you that consistency consistently? No, not even close.
15:40But when he does look good, how good does it look?
15:43Ridiculously good. And so our expectations were outrageous and you're right.
15:46Would you take Ken Walker over Hampton right now?
15:49Not even close, but everybody was taking Hampton over Walker for the most part.
15:53I don't want to group everybody, but yeah, it was.
15:56Oh no, it was comfortable. I had never seen Ken Walker go ahead of Hampton.
16:01Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So it was comfortable.
16:03The ADP was not even close. It was Hampton.
16:06And I understand here we are. The Chargers are literally, I thought this week, even on the road, but at Buffalo where
16:13they would have to keep up with Buffalo's offenses as in chasing points.
16:17Like I was talking about the Jets and chasing the lions down.
16:20So they laid an egg again. Like they look good on that first drive.
16:24They got down the field and the Bills defense, I guess is to be decided.
16:29They obviously got that new defensive lineman. Everybody loves who's batting down balls in week two, but like the Bills defense have
16:35hasn't been a real threat in a few years.
16:38They haven't, you know, every time they can't keep anybody healthy every year is a different year in NFL.
16:44And you got a chance to read, you know, come out there with 11 new guys and see what you can do.
16:50Maybe five weeks from now we'll be like, wow, that Bills defense is legit.
16:55But right this second, I thought the Chargers were going to go to Buffalo and have a get right.
17:00Not maybe not as a total team, maybe not get the victory, maybe not look ridiculously good, but like produce and after drive one, they didn't produce Stan.
17:09No, they have, they have not produced much of anything this season.
17:12And quite frankly, if you're a Justin Herbert owner, you know, you probably wish you had teared off him from a dynasty perspective before the season started here.
17:21But, you know, I guess the season's young. There might be time to turn it around.
17:25You know, I think when we talk about quarterbacks, that that's a nice transition here into, you know, this break out or break down.
17:33I think a player that saw a breakout of dynasty value this offseason was Cam Ward.
17:37And as far as performances have gone, I would consider that a break down.
17:42Okay. He's he's come out. He's thrown the ball 32 times in week one, only completed 19 of them for 140 yards came out week two.
17:49He attempted 20 passes this time only completed 13 of them for 183 yards.
17:53And then this week he gets a little bit of an uptick.
17:57He gets to try 36 passes, but only completes 23 of them 181 yards for a touchdown and a pick yet to
18:04break the 200 yard passing mark this season. And, you know, I hate to say it for Chev and my Tennessee Titan
18:10fans out there, but the future looks pretty bleak out in Nashville right now.
18:14So I guess my question for you is, is it a true breakdown for Cam Ward and his dynasty value?
18:20Do you still believe in him as a prospect or are you willing to start shopping him for some offers?
18:26Because I'm going to kick us off real quick.
18:29I know I threw a question at you, but do it, do it.
18:33I've been a I've been a big believer in my dynasty strategy over the years.
18:37Show me. Don't tell me. Show me. Don't tell me.
18:40Okay. I say it every single episode of every video I ever make.
18:44And that's why you don't see me taking wild swings on young prospects and paying exorbitant prices for players that I haven't
18:51watched line up a comprehensive body of work that I can sink my teeth into and feel good about investing in on a dynasty roster.
18:58Cam Ward is that guy for me. It's the same reason I don't own a lot of Bryce Young.
19:04Same reason I don't own a lot of the, you know, Luther burdens and Colston Loveland's even into the world.
19:10Like I would rather invest in guys that I've seen.
19:13And it's a huge reason why you're watching a lot of my dynasty rosters right now, rolling with George Kittle, buying low on the injury discount.
19:21And I'm comfortable starting him over Loveland. And so far, that's been really good for me this season.
19:26You know, just relying on guys that get it done.
19:29Now, I'm not saying that that is a foolproof strategy.
19:32You miss out on some of the moon shots.
19:35And for sure, you know, I've been a seller too early at times.
19:39That all being considered, you know, I look at this Tennessee Titans system and this is a team that has so many
19:45question marks, not only, you know, on the defensive side of the football, they bring a defensive head coach in.
19:51They give Dable kind of the keys on offense here.
19:54You know, I think he had hot and cold streaks in New York as well.
19:59But I just think people were far too high on Cam Ward going into this season in the dynasty community from my perspective.
20:06I'm looking at the FFD crowdsource rankings here. I still see Cam Ward above Baker Mayfield, above Jared Goff, above Super Bowl winning Sam Darnold.
20:13Put some respect on the man's name. I mean, I'm comfortable taking any of those guys over Cam Ward in dynasty.
20:20I was comfortable with it all offseason and even looking way down.
20:23You know, I see Malik Willis, Daniel Jones, Kyler Murray, Ty Simpson, all before you get to Bryce Young or Matthew Stafford
20:30and Michael Penix all the way down there. I mean, call me crazy, but I look at Cam Ward as like not
20:36so different from Bryce Young and Michael Penix. Like these are guys that are in, you know, systems that definitely have a lot of questions to answer.
20:44Now, Carolina looks like they're, you know, moving a lot more in the right direction than the other two franchises there.
20:51But, you know, if it's me, you can call me crazy, flame me in the comments as much as you want.
20:57I don't see that big of a difference between Cam Ward and Michael Penix as far as dynasty upside goes.
21:03You know, I don't view Cam Ward as an all-star rusher or somebody that gives you a ton of, you know, threat in the ground game.
21:11So long interlude there. Like I've been out on Cam Ward.
21:14I'm still out on Cam Ward. I'd gladly flip Cam Ward for Sam Darnold and get something coming back to me there.
21:21You call me a bias Seahawks fan, whatever. But that man put almost 30 fantasy points up for you this week.
21:27And that's a hell of a lot more than I've seen out of Cam Ward in the first two seasons.
21:33But I bogarted the mic there. I had to get my rant out on Cam Ward.
21:38Get it out, bro. Let it out. Tell me where you're at with Cam Ward here because my patience has clearly dried
21:44up and it was small to begin with. But are you willing to wait on Cam Ward for a true breakout here
21:51or are you starting to shop him? I mean, at this point, you know, did you buy him this year?
21:57Because you bought him this year for a lot cheaper than you did last year, right?
22:02So like, and the reason why you just said, you know, I like the strategy.
22:06Show me, don't tell me. I take some of that.
22:09I don't. I got a, I got a mixed dynasty strategy.
22:12It's pretty mixed, but I do have some of that as far as I've, when I pull that part out, I call it something else.
22:20I call it don't mess it up pick. And so like you're saying, we both faded to basial tootin.
22:26And so in that spot, yes, we would have taken a, you know, a Jared golf over a basial tootin all day
22:32long because we know you're not messing that pickup, especially in super flex.
22:36You know, if you're not, if you're not really sure what to do, just take another quarterback because you most likely aren't messing it up in that spot.
22:44But like the, the Cam Ward situation, right? This second, if you bought him this year, much, you know, much cheaper price tag.
22:51I don't want to sell him now because I don't think you're going to get what you should get for him, but I don't, you're not wrong.
22:59You like, you have to be prepared to take what I just said and know that he's could drop even further in a couple of weeks.
23:07Um, and it could take a season. It could take a change in like, you just got day ball to be offensive coordinator.
23:14You know, all that stuff. Rebuilt the wide receiver core, bring in one day for the easy passes, drafting Cornell Tate high to get him this.
23:22Like it again, this is you, the worst teams get the best prospects at the beginning of the draft.
23:27And you don't know how it's going to work out.
23:30Most of the time it starts out slow and fairly awful, which is what cam words do it.
23:36I have liked what I've seen out of cam ward in spots at the microphone, at the, everybody's praising the ways he works.
23:43The first one in last one out, like sold in like some of these young kids these days that get that money
23:49and even, you know, back even far back, obviously completely different talent skillset, but the story about Michael Vick, not looking at
23:56the playbook that coach gave him to coach tape a hundred dollar bill in the back or whatever.
24:01And he never found it. Right. Cause he never got there.
24:05Like, like cam wards work ethic is enough of a, you know, just a little anecdote for me to get behind and
24:11say, Hey, talent work ethic stick to it. Let's give this man a shot.
24:15Sure. But I wasn't buying him. I've been on the, I've missed out a couple of, I missed out on the, you know, rookie draft and startup stand.
24:24This is our first, you know, a couple of shows together, rookie draft and startup are two different things.
24:29For sure. Two different sets of players. So in the rookie draft, you got to draft a rookie quarterback.
24:35You got to do what you got to do.
24:38But in the startups, when you have options, you know, I missed the Drake maze and the, um, um, Caleb Williams in
24:44the rookie draft and the startup draft their rookie year, because I didn't miss Bryce young the year before that, et cetera, et cetera.
24:52Those drops like CJ Stroud for a year, look bad missing him.
24:55But then where he's in the tank, you know, like young quarterbacks typically struggle.
24:59Like you said, just a minute ago about third year wide receivers and, you know, rookies, the Brock Bowers effect.
25:05Like, you know, we expect too much out of our rookies too fast.
25:09You look at JSN took a couple of seasons and now he's the best wide receiver in the league.
25:15Yes, sir. You could argue about a couple, but you get what I'm saying, right?
25:19There was a buy low window on JSN because he was young and that's what happened.
25:24So like, I think I could buy Cam Ward for cheap tomorrow, much cheaper than I could have bought him three weeks
25:31ago, much cheaper than I could have bought him two months ago, a whole lot cheaper than I could have bought him 18 months ago, you know?
25:39And Cam Ward may not be a really good quarterback for the Titans.
25:43He may be on a second team. You know what I mean?
25:46Um, he's probably got to fall a little bit farther to fit into this narrative that I'm putting together about the Sam Darnolds and the Mac Joneses.
25:54He's next in line for that, you know? But I think at the same time today, after week three, again, we talked
26:01about scat and the giants in that game. Like it's a pot.
26:05It's it's everything you said is completely warranted, completely warranted, but the Titans go to New York who has a good defense
26:11and now hard balls there and they're gritty and they're coming back and they're like, Hey, we just lost our starting quarterback
26:18last week and let's go punch them in the face in the rain.
26:22The Titans had no chance this week. They had no chance of playing good football and the giants actually have a good
26:28defense and they have a trying to reset a new culture.
26:32And this was, you can't let this game get away if you're the giants.
26:36And so was not going to go play good, good football in this bad weather game on the road against the giants
26:42who had to come out and get the easy W quote unquote, no easy W's in this league, but you just lost dark.
26:49And if your whole dude, if, if the giants lost to the Titans yesterday, Stan empty the clip fire, everybody, you know what I mean?
26:57And that's because Jackson dart was just going to bring the entire season down, which he still may, but you better not lose against the Titans.
27:04Right. And so I don't think this is the week to throw cam board out with the bad weather.
27:10Let me inject this though. And, and, and that's all fair.
27:13And, and I could, I could see that side of it as well.
27:17I'm looking at the crowdsource rankings right now and side by side, damn near is cam ward and Fernando Mendoza.
27:23And you and I, not even close. Yeah. Yeah.
27:26Right. Because you and I had a conversation before we started recording here just about how much coaches matter.
27:32Right. I'm, I'm talking about my Seattle Seahawks. Head coach, Mike McDonald over here is just, you know, really changed and elevated the way that team plays.
27:40But like, you know, I think the same needs to be said about his former offensive coordinator Kubiak and what he's getting
27:46out of Kirk cousins here, you know, and just the writer, the whole team, the whole team, the readers, the whole team.
27:53Yeah. Yeah. They're three and oh, right. But, but just outside that, I mean, Kirk cousins game one, he threw throws for
28:00160 yards, you know, three touchdowns, two picks, fine.
28:02Brand new head coach, new team, new system. It's going to be scrappy, right?
28:06Then next week throws 253 yards and three touchdowns.
28:09This week comes out to throws 248 yards and three touchdowns.
28:12We're talking about a 38 year old Kirk cousins here coming off some pretty serious injuries in the last few years, including
28:19his plant leg for throwing and everything there. I mean, you got Fernando Mendoza waiting in the wing.
28:24If you talk about quarterbacks that could come out, you know, right away and be productive, that's a guy that could be
28:31elevated by the coach by a ton. Obviously you got Bowers, even without a prime receiving core there, that all being considered.
28:38I mean, I think you and I are in agreement, but I just wanted to throw it in for the viewers.
28:44If I'm sitting on Cam Ward right now, I would do everything I can to move Cam Ward into Fernando Mendoza as fast as humanly possible.
28:52And like, I think a 27 second might get you there in some cases.
28:56I think a player of equivalent value. If you even talk some of these, you know, young, younger players that we've talked
29:02about so far, like the Ted Hursts of the world, definitely the Bayshall Toons of the world.
29:07I mean, that gets those deals done in my mind and I would be heavily considering it and willing to do it today.
29:14If it was me, you got any issue with that?
29:17You know, making the Cam Ward Mendoza play? I'll give you Cam Ward a two and a three next year for Mendoza right now.
29:25Right now. Yeah, right now all day. And next week he plays at Baltimore and the week after that Cam Ward plays against Houston Texans.
29:32So that's not good. So yes, I would send that for Mendoza right now.
29:36And to think this new website that FFD broke out, it's not brand new anymore, but the clicks, the way you swipe, right?
29:43You know, earlier in the summer, Casey and Jay and the team broke out this new website and I'm on it.
29:49I'm getting my swipes in and I immediately come back to the show and I'm like, my God, boys, I'm on Mendoza.
29:56I didn't even know I was on Mendoza, you know, but I kept swiping and I kept taking Mendoza over, not just
30:03quarterbacks, but like regular NFL players that I've already seen do well because there was this, it's kind of the same thing
30:09I was saying about Mendoza, about Cam Ward and it like maybe on another level of, I don't think anything, I don't
30:16think many people outside of maybe if you just hate the Raiders or you hate Indiana thinks that Mendoza isn't going to do well.
30:23And I know we said, you can say that about a lot of, a lot of young quarterbacks.
30:28I've been the last three years I've taken and it probably, you know, Stan, you don't really know me that well.
30:35So Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Anthony Richardson, like I was chasing those rushing quarterbacks in dynasty startups, trying to find somebody who
30:41would score 25 points a week with their legs because they're out there and they can be found.
30:47But that was costing me that created the don't mess it up picks, you know?
30:51I can find my way around if I just don't blow this pick in the second or third round of a startup, you know?
30:58So that being said, I just wanted to put you build that back in there, put that history nugget in there for you.
31:05So like, that's why I've taken the last couple of years off for quarterbacks and a startup for rookies because that there's
31:12just, it's the hardest job in the world, but I, you know, it's literally there's 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL and
31:18there's not 32 that are really, really good at the job.
31:22So therefore there's 32 people in this world that can't even do that job at a high level.
31:27It's the hardest job in the world. And you take a young player, give them a bunch of money as a first
31:33round draft pick, throw them on the worst team in the league who had the early draft pick and expect them to do well.
31:41But we got the Raiders who have Tom Brady over there, a new, obviously high-end offensive minded coach.
31:46And he's given these good, you know, speeches at the end of the games and building some character for a team that's
31:53been in shambles, but has a rich history. They're not the jets.
31:56They're not the Browns, right? They can't. We have seen the Raiders be good.
32:00I saw John Gruden take them to the NFL championship.
32:03And so I saw rich gain and make plays, you know, I know that I think Mendoza has a really, really good shot to be good.
32:11I think he has a really, really good shot to be great.
32:15And I think the floor is actually very, very safe.
32:18So when we got into clicking on this new website in the off season, I'm like, dang, I'm back in on a
32:24rookie quarterback and his name is Mendoza. So I'm picking up what you're putting down.
32:29No, no, I like it there. I think it was just something I wanted to include for the viewers out there.
32:35Like if you're not encouraged by what you're seeing in Las Vegas right now, and you're not sending offers for Fennel to
32:42Mendoza, I think, I think you're missing an opportunity out there.
32:45Let's stick in the quarterback department. All right. Because talk about a guy that's been on an absolute heater and is rising up rankings quickly here.
32:53Probably the opposite of Cam Ward is Tyler Shook.
32:55Okay. Tyler, Tyler Shook, he comes out again this week and kind of eats all over the map.
33:01He has 43 passing attempts, 29 completions, 255 yards, but four touchdowns through the air.
33:05Okay. He adds a little bit of Russian for you here.
33:09Only one attempt, but that goes for 36 yards.
33:11So again, nice little floor of, uh, of rushing from Tyler Shook.
33:15Um, that's good for, for, you know, almost 30 fantasy points there.
33:19And he's currently sitting at QB three in PPR, uh, performance so far through the season here.
33:24That all being said, where are we valuing Tyler Shook right now?
33:27And are you all in on this train? Are you chasing the price or are you looking at this saying, uh, he's actually kind of old.
33:35He's 27. He's, uh, he's not that much younger than a lot of these guys that have been in the league.
33:41I mean, we were joking about Sam Darnold earlier, but he's 18 months, uh, younger than Sam Darnold.
33:47All right. And, uh, this man's already played for 10 teams and had a full career life cycle.
33:52So that all being said, because where are you land on, on Shook right now?
33:57Are you bought in or you think he's the future in new Orleans and what kind of prices are we willing to pay for him?
34:04Man. Okay. Quick history right here with you and I, again, we have been doing this together very long, right?
34:10I was all in on Kellen Moore. I said, and Casey and chef can attest to this.
34:15I came in and I said, and Kellen Moore, I trust.
34:18And I did, I only had one share of Chuck last year.
34:22And before he got to start, before he got to play Casey and I used him in a, in a, um, trade
34:29to go trade for Daniel Jones in a league that we needed a quarterback.
34:33So I didn't even have any, any Tyler Shook towards the end of the year last year.
34:38And so, and I really didn't have a lot.
34:41I had, you know, one or two alive, a couple of Juwan Johnson's, but as the TV boxes got split up down
34:47the, down the stretch of the NFL season, the saints weren't on them.
34:51Right. So I didn't get to appreciate what Tyler Shook was doing down the stretch last year.
34:56And I think only people that would have him in their lineup to, you know, realize that gain and say, Hey, not
35:03only is he throwing the ball, he's running the ball around, you know, and he's getting these fantasy points.
35:08Tyler Shook crushed it down the stretch. And a lot of people didn't really understand that.
35:13He, you know, it's not a big time name, somebody like that, like a Jalen Coker, like we were talking about earlier,
35:20somebody like that, they don't start up from the top.
35:23They don't, they weren't a high prospect. So you have to work, they have to work their way up to become a household name.
35:30And for people to give them that equity that they deserve, it takes a lot longer for them to get it.
35:36Well, I go back and I come onto the, I come onto the show in the summertime and I'm like, y'all, I
35:43just went and watched the highlight tape of Tyler Shook's highlights last year.
35:47I think it was probably like every touchdown pass or something like that.
35:51And it came back and it was like, hell and more.
35:54I trust because half of the time, of course it was a lobby torch and cats.
35:59Right. Sure. You know, but it is some Jalen, uh, Jawan Johnson highlights here and there, but it was obvious, you know,
36:05some Devon Bailey, he got trained, but like they were, there was players breaking into wide open spaces that I've never heard of.
36:12And you know, when you watch a highlight tape like that, the color commentary is getting cut off to Stan.
36:18So like you're the one place starts up in the, and then they're like, Hey, this play looked just like a minute ago, or look at this.
36:26And that, you know, so the color commentary is, is just as chopped up as the, as the, they go with each highlight.
36:33Like, but they were like, you know, you would hear a smitter smatter of scheme and you'd hear color commerce say, did
36:40you see these X's and O's right here? Or this guy breaks wide open.
36:44Like he's just toying with the defense at this point.
36:47Like all those types of things that they were saying about Kelly Moore's offense as Tyler Shuck was orchestrating.
36:53And so I go into the off season this year, I'm in the off season, you know, a couple of months back
36:59and I'm getting all this doobnest work on the saints.
37:02And I'm like, Tyler Shuck could hit huge or the next quarterback is going to be a stud.
37:07Right. Yeah. So I got, I got, I got ridiculous percentages, ownership percentages of Tyler Shuck in my underdog leagues, but all
37:14my other players on those teams are hurt. So it doesn't matter.
37:18But Tyler Shuck is a beast, bro. You're, you're asking me if I'm buying in.
37:22We just talked about Mendoza versus cam Ward versus all the other rookie receipt quarterbacks that come into the league and they play on bad teams.
37:30Shuck comes in as a late round draft pick.
37:33He's 38 years old already, but he did get tossed around in college for seven years.
37:37And now we care about college experience for quarterbacks.
37:40We won't starts. We won't play in time. How many snaps did he get?
37:44And Tyler Shuck goes over there to Louisville and gets trained up by old Brian Brom and brothers as coach.
37:50And I'm like, all right, I can pick up what you're putting down.
37:54Tyler Shuck. Let's go see it in year two.
37:57And you know, then the saints re-roll for what a quarterback, if it doesn't work out, this man is torching it, Stan.
38:03He's torching it and he comes in. He's not young.
38:06I'm sorry. I'll be done in just a second.
38:09He's not young, but he comes in with no NFL experience, but he gets Kellen Moore and, and a, and a NFL
38:16franchise is finally getting over the going all in for Drew Brees and then doubling down.
38:21And they went all in for Drew Brees the last couple of years.
38:24And it's like, all right, well, why are you still talking about Drew Brees?
38:29Because they went into cap hell trying to chase one more championship.
38:32And then they went all in with Derek Carr again, just to try to chase it because they had already already gone in so hardcore for Drew Brees.
38:41And so far against the cap, they were like, well, might as well sound signed car in and let him do his work here.
38:48And then car retires on him. So like, they just been throwing up as a franchise, trying to get it straight.
38:54And now they land their coach top five coach, in my opinion already, because of what he's been able to do.
39:00And then they land this quarterback who, like you said, he's 27, but he's not, he's, he's got the mind of a
39:07quarterback that we want these young quarterbacks to have.
39:10He's hitting the ground running and it is, it's, it's, it's so good to watch.
39:14And he doesn't even have his, he doesn't even have Tyson.
39:17He's got a stud wide receiver on IR. So I'm all in on Chuck.
39:22And to answer your question, 10 minutes later, I would chase the price up if I needed to.
39:27I don't believe there's really a whole lot that can go on outside of injury that would make the saints say, we need another quarterback.
39:34They got one. Yeah, no, I agree. I mean, when you say tearing it up, it is not an understatement.
39:40He's first among quarterbacks in past snaps at 156.
39:43His dropbacks are 147, but on that attempts 132.
39:46So he is out here wheeling and dealing his second and passing yards currently sitting in 917 third and passing touchdowns among all qualifying quarterbacks.
39:53And like these week by week attempts here are just something to be marveled at.
39:58Honestly, like you said, Kellen Moore is, is getting it done.
40:01And, uh, it's very exciting to see. I think another thing I really like is like, he's got, um, nine big time
40:08throws so far versus only two turnover worthy plays.
40:10Um, and that is a stat that we need to be keeping our eyes on.
40:15I think a big reason I liked Michael Penix when it comes to Drake London's production is those big time throws, right?
40:21I like guys that take shots, force the ball down the field.
40:25And Tyler Shook is doing that. And like you said, all be it without Jordan Tyson.
40:30Um, you're seeing a career resurgence for Juwan Johnson over there and L while you're at it, talk about tight ends, Noah
40:36fan keeps fine in the end zone as well.
40:39Uh, my former first round pick that I refused to give up on in dynasty, uh, for some reason still sitting at
40:46the bottom of about 10 rosters over here. Okay.
40:48Right. And one of those games for Shook and the saints are on the road at Baltimore.
40:53Yeah. And, and drummed them up and down the field.
40:56No, for sure. For sure. Well, we love to see that.
41:00We got a young Tyler Shook fan, hopefully on the screen here, uh, ready to, to dish some football knowledge to us,
41:06but we've got, um, we've got two more guys I wanted to cover here.
41:10All right. Big co. And then, and then I'll release you to the wolves.
41:15Um, and, uh, we've got Travion Henderson next. Okay.
41:17We talked a little bit in yesterday's episode about how awful the Patriots have looked to start the season.
41:23If we're benching or starting Drake may from this point forward, are we panicking on his dynasty value?
41:28So if you guys haven't checked out that episode already, make sure you hop back and, and show it some love and,
41:35and see what we're saying about the Patriots. But to build from there, you know, without any passing game and without any
41:42continuity on offense here, the running backs have really started to struggle in new England as well.
41:47Yeah. Travion Henderson last week, break the big run and that kind of saved his day.
41:51But this week he comes out, um, eight attempts for 23 yards.
41:55That's under three yards. A carry here gets virtually no involvement in the passing game as well.
42:00Catches one pass for six yards. I mean, where are you at on the Travion Henderson gravy train here?
42:06Are we getting off? Are we buying low? What is the move in new England?
42:10Man, Stan, I got to tell you, part of me wants to say something bad about Travion Henderson.
42:16Part of me wants to say, I'll sell high or sell medium or sell low or whatever you want to say it
42:22to buy myself more time to go buy Travion Henderson.
42:25But I can't do that. I'm a man of integrity, Stan.
42:29And I can only say what I think is right.
42:32You got to stand for something or you fall for anything.
42:35As Aaron Tippett said back in the nineties on country radio, Travion Henderson is a stud.
42:40It's malpractice that they don't throw this man the ball.
42:43And you think about AJ Brown going down like we talked about before and they got Romeo Doves and they got Mac Hollins out there catching balls.
42:51I understand he helps in the run game. So he's a, you know, it's part of your offensive system.
42:56If Mac Hollins is your guy and he is for all intents, he's supposed to be a great dude off the field.
43:03So I don't mean to make fun of Mac Hollins, but like the fact that you have Travion Henderson, it's malpractice.
43:09You're not using him. It's ridiculous. Like literally last week he comes in and breaks a long run and they don't give him a whole lot.
43:17The rest of the game a little bit. He, he doubles up Ramondre.
43:21Thank goodness. And touches. But then this, this week, the Jags defensive front is a little up and down.
43:27And, but when they're hitting and then, and when they get excited and they get rolling, you know, Josh Hans Allen, like
43:33they got players and they got speed and they can, I don't know if Drake may see and ghosts right now, but
43:40I don't know if they've offensive coordinator seeing ghosts, but like what they got going on with Travion Henderson right now is ridiculous.
43:47And I'm, I'm going to have to go before this video can come out and send some offers.
43:52And Travion Henderson's undeniable. I put that in a group chat last week after he broke out and broke the run, he was nicked up.
44:00I don't know. There's a culture situation going on in Patriots land.
44:03This man, what he stands for and what the coach stands for may be two different things.
44:08They finally started taking up for each other in the media.
44:12The coach threw him under the bus a couple of months ago about some other stuff.
44:16I don't know what's going on in Patriots land right now, but I'm going to tell you right now, when it comes
44:23to dynasty, I won't Travion, Travion Henderson on all the teams I can get them on.
44:28The man is a stud. And if the Patriots can't figure out how to use him sooner or later, then I don't
44:34know how the luster can be gone from Mike Vrabel and Drake may so quickly staying.
44:39Are you seeing this? Are you seeing that last year?
44:42Yeah. Like you said, you did call them scheduled merchants as you should have, but like to see just the drop off right.
44:49And it's only been three weeks and you're a number one receiver went out.
44:53A lot of things can happen. Offensive line problems, lack of a preseason, like I said, but like you got to get
45:00the ball in your best player's hands. And the best player you got on offense is Travion Henderson.
45:05Yeah, no, I can see that. I mean, the talent's always been there.
45:09I was a huge fan of his prospect profile.
45:12Unfortunately, it's just not come to fruition there. And like you said, culture in New England seems to be a little bit of a mess right now.
45:20Never really was the biggest Mike Vrabel fan. But hey, it seems like they're butting heads a bit and they can't get on the same page.
45:28But I mean, Henderson is dropping down boards a little bit here.
45:31He had a bit of a resurgence last week after the long run that reminded people.
45:36But yeah, I think there's going to be a buy window here over the next few weeks on Travion Henderson.
45:42So, you know, like like Big Coe said, stay stay frosty in those leagues here.
45:46We're going to talk one more running back and then and then I'm going to get out of here.
45:52We got my guy in Seattle, Jadarian Price. OK, I wasn't the biggest fan of his prospect profile when you talk about upside.
45:59I was a little I was a little bit on the sign Kenneth Walker train, you could say.
46:04And and unfortunately, you know, he's out there doing his thing in Kansas City right now.
46:09And I wish he was doing his thing for us.
46:12That all being said, Jadarian Price, two fumbles in the first three games.
46:16Largely been a disappointment as far as fantasy production goes.
46:19Now, I will say to the viewers out there, if you guys all expected to plug in Jadarian Price and just ride
46:26his coattails from week one, I think you don't know the Seattle Seahawks very well.
46:30This is a team that did keep Kenneth Bay or Kenneth Walker at bay by splitting touches throughout his entire career, knowing the talent they had there.
46:38This is a team that likes to, you know, run a running back by committee system.
46:43And Jadarian Price was always going to have to fight for his, you know, right to maintain a significant workload.
46:49Now, he's looked explosive at times here, even in the first few weeks.
46:53But the fumbling was a little bit of an issue in college.
46:56It's kind of reared its head a bit here.
46:59Two fumbles in the first three weeks, like I mentioned, and kind of found himself in the doghouse for a quick moment after that this weekend.
47:07I just want to, you know, usher a friendly reminder to those out there.
47:11We have been spoiled by rookies. Do not panic sell Jadarian Price right now.
47:15I don't think that he is going to be your ultimate league winner.
47:19I don't think he's going to be a long-term RB1.
47:22But I sure as hell think he's better than what you're probably valuing him or worrying about him today.
47:28Okay. Big Coe, where are you landing on Jadarian Price through the first three weeks here?
47:33And how's your outlook on his dynasty value? Yeah, I could talk both parts.
47:37But the first thing I'll do is, you know, I said in the offseason, I said in Mike McDonald, I trust.
47:43And I still do. And I said that I believe that the management on this team is top tier.
47:49And if they want to pick this guy, the last pick in the first round, that they're going to use him.
47:55They did that knowing their running back of choice was on a knee injury.
47:59And so if they took Jadarian Price at 132, I'm going to be there and ride with them and say, yes, upper
48:06tier management, top tier management in the league, top three coach, front office combo, possibly.
48:10Look at the way they built their defense. Look at what everything's happened since Mike McDonald went over there.
48:16Look at what happened to the Ravens when he left.
48:19They got it going on. The other side of it is, and yes, they haven't given him the workload that I thought.
48:26It's a three-game sample. And they did not think that they were going to be in a dogfight with Washington last week.
48:32I'll promise you that. But the other part of it is, it is a long season.
48:37And this team is Super Bowl or bust. There's a couple teams you could say that about.
48:42And just because of everything, you could say they got lucky to win the Super Bowl last year.
48:47You could say that the Bo Nicks should have been healthy and it could have been a different game.
48:53Or the Rams could have beat them. The Rams could have beat the Eagles the year before that, too, in an NFC championship game.
49:00The Seahawks, they earned it and they won. And the first two weeks of the season with a backup quarterback are beating people up.
49:08So, I think that I understand not wanting to put too much on the rookie's plate.
49:12He fumbles the ball in a tough game. And they're going to rely on some veterans to try to get that W.
49:19And we'll come back to Jadarian Price later. Their season doesn't necessarily...
49:23They're such a good team. Their talent, their depth, their position play.
49:26They're a better team at most positions than almost all the other teams.
49:30Right? So, like, they don't have to have Price.
49:33I'm not going to say he was a luxury pick in the first round when you could have, you know, re-signed your quarterback.
49:40You know, Kenneth Walker as your running back. You could have re-signed the Super Bowl MVP.
49:44But I will say I thought they would use him more than they have.
49:49And game script dependent and more of a dogfight situation sometimes before they broke away in week one, etc.
49:54Price looked good in the first quarter of week one.
49:57Everybody was losing their minds how good he looked in the first quarter.
50:01And then he didn't really do a whole lot down the stretch.
50:05And here we are. He fumbles in week three.
50:07And like you said, two fumbles on the season in the doghouse.
50:11You can play the long game here. I wouldn't sell low.
50:14I'd be looking to try to buy low potentially.
50:17But maybe you're right. We should have the governor on upside expectations.
50:21Yeah. I mean, I think, you know, everything in its right mind, you know, like, like temper your expectations on Jadarian Price.
50:27He's not going to be the ultimate workhorse back for you.
50:30He's not going to be a Saquon Barkley. That is not what you drafted him to be.
50:36I think he's an explosive player that offers, you know, upside in the passing game that maybe Zach Charbonnet doesn't even in that offensive system.
50:43And as long as you know what you're buying, I have zero issue buying low on Jadarian Price knowing that, yeah, you're
50:50probably fighting for a 60% running back share in the future.
50:53But hey, if he's explosive, that'll deliver fantasy points for you down the stretch.
50:57And to those out there that were, you know, panicking in my discord after the fumble here and they're like, they put him in the doghouse.
51:05They sent him right back out on a long, deep wheel route right after that.
51:09Got him involved in the passing game. Took a home run shot to him.
51:14It was fantastic coverage from the corner. Or else it would have been a walk in, you know, 40 plus yard reception touchdown for Jadarian Price there.
51:22And I think we'd be talking very differently about him if that pass had gone through and he'd walked in a touchdown there.
51:28And then you're looking at the situation going, oh, well, the Seahawks went right back to him after a fumble.
51:34And so they've shown their ultimate trust in the back here.
51:38All to be said, I think, you know, there's a lot that goes into these decisions in football games, like you said, game script dependent.
51:45And so I would take a moment, pump the brakes on Jadarian Price panic and say, hey, if people are going to
51:52start selling him for pennies on the dollar, you might have an opportunity there.
51:56Guys, we covered a lot of breakouts, breakdowns today in the youth department.
52:00If you have any other guys that you're completely bought in on, I want to hear it in the comments here.
52:06If you've got panic sales, leave those thoughts in the comments as well.
52:10Me and BigCo will chime in and see if we can offer a little bit of insight into your roster and your construction here.
52:17Thank you guys for the continued support. BigCo, you got anything to leave the viewers with as we enter the muddy waters of week four?
52:25If you're listening to 45th or the 50th minute of a dynasty podcast and you're a degenerate like Stan and myself, what
52:31he just gave you about the wheel route to Jadarian Price is huge.
52:35I've been saying this for 10 years. Every league is different.
52:39You might not be able to buy Jadarian Price super, super cheap in your favorite league, but you might be able to
52:45get him in your second or third or fourth league or how many leagues you're in.
52:50You might be able to get him super cheap today for just exactly what Stan said.
52:55Somebody didn't see that wheel route and know that he went right back in the game and got a 40-yard shot that
53:01he could have eaten if the defensive back didn't make a great play on as a touchdown.
53:06And you're talking about Jadarian Price completely differently right now.
53:09Now, eight years ago, I came on the show and I said, hey, y'all, for the Rams, Robert Woods right here through two weeks of the season.
53:17He's had ridiculous shot plays in his hands and he is driving this offense right now.
53:22But that was before the term air yards was really popular.
53:26But I was basically describing air yards on air staying eight years ago or so and said approximately about how Robert Woods
53:32was about to be the Rams main man. And he was super cheap and go get him before he blows up.
53:38And maybe the next week it was two touchdowns or maybe like it was because it was there.
53:44I was watching the games and I saw it, but it didn't connect.
53:48So it didn't hit the stat sheet, didn't hit anybody's fantasy numbers.
53:51And 90% of the people didn't know what happened.
53:54So Stan gives us a nugget about Jadarian Price.
53:57And he also he's a Seattle Seahawks expert. So he says that before he said that, he says, don't go thinking you're
54:03about to get the 100% bell cow. He's not Christian McCaffrey, of course.
54:07Like so buyers beware. Sellers beware too, though. Don't go selling this guy for very, you know, for pennies on the dollar
54:14and think that you just you're getting out from under somebody.
54:17He could be very flex worthy at worst for years to come on a good Seattle's offense that doesn't really have much outside of JSN.
54:24Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Guys, don't don't get the scary since week three.
54:28We've got time to turn the season around to make some big brain dynasty moves and put your roster in the right direction.
54:35As always, we appreciate you tuning in here on the FF dynasty.
54:39Make sure you hop over to dynasty price checks YouTube channel.
54:42You know, show me some love over there. You guys can hear me.
54:46Yeah. We'll see you next week for another edition of everything going on in the dynasty market.
54:51Take care, guys.
