1:00It's not time to panic yet, but it is time to take an honest look at your teams.
1:06Figure out how to get back on track. Draft capital means nothing anymore.
1:11All that matters is scoring points. So the question you've got to ask yourself is, are you getting the best possible results out of your team?
1:20Our coaching hats are on today as we get into the Empire.
1:24Hey, happy MRI Tuesday everybody! How we doing? Good, good.
1:28Never too much, never too much. That's the theme of today after Luther Burden finally got some points.
1:34We pay homage to Luther Vandross. A thousand kisses from you is never too much, never too much.
1:41I like it, Matty. I like it. You're one for Khalif Raymond too, since he's the number one receiver.
1:47He is. That's crazy. Unbelievable. Yep. Those who dove in early on that one got him for cheap and getting some points out of it.
1:56Sure thing. Gentlemen, obviously, three weeks in the books here.
2:00Fantasy football is absolutely crazy right now. And we're going to try and cover everything because there's a lot to talk about
2:07after another wacky week three in fantasy football. Absolutely.
2:11Chris, why don't you just dive right in? What's on your mind?
2:15I mean, I think that through three weeks, guys, I've never seen fantasy so top heavy.
2:21You know, where the first two rounds of players are just drastically killing everybody.
2:26And that sounds like, oh, well, it's supposed to be.
2:29But yeah, I don't know if we've seen a time where the mid rounds to the later rounds, we're not getting much help through three weeks.
2:38It doesn't look like there's any help coming in sight.
2:42The running back position is absolute trash. You know, we keep chalking it up like, oh, it's one week.
2:49All right. Now it's two weeks. Now it's three weeks.
2:52And we're not getting anything out of these, you know, RB2, three types after that.
2:57You know, I think it's a difference of right now.
3:01Could we be heading to another year of where every week our lineups are filled with three or four duds in it?
3:09The guys that, you know, don't show up that particular week, give a five point game, a seven point game, keep these
3:17scores low in that 115 to 130 range. I think the big difference through three weeks right now is if you have
3:24the monsters, the guys that are carrying you, the JSNs, the Jameer Gibbs, Ken Walkers and Derek Henrys, stuff like players like
3:32that, that are giving you the consistent points. And that the guys that are going to be in your lineup, they give
3:40you the 30 every week, the 25 plus. That's what's getting these teams that are in the top of the standings, the
3:48top of the overalls that are pumping out one seventies each week when they have two guys in their lineups that are given a 35 and a 32.
3:58And you get, you know, a good game from your quarterback and your defense and kicker don't give a one or two each.
4:06And they're given some points. That's what's getting that's what's getting all these teams to one 70, one 75.
4:12Whereas all the other players that are in the bottom right now of the league around 115, 120, it's not that you don't have good players.
4:22It's just that there's so much inconsistency through three weeks across fantasy that you are living in that one 20.
4:29You can't get out of that one 20, one 25 range in fantasy when you've got four guys that are given less than 10 points in your lineup.
4:39And you aren't the JSN owner or the Gibbs owner that's given you the 40 to cover up the holes in your lineup.
4:47That's what Gibbs and JSN are doing right now is they're covering up those one or two or three guys in your lineup that give you the five.
4:57The kid, oh, Kincaid only gave me five today.
5:00You know, this wide receiver is six. So I think that's what I'm seeing in fantasy.
5:06Could you mention the RB twos and the RB threes?
5:09Yeah. And look, if you had the one or two pick, you got Gibbs or Bijan.
5:15That was like 95% or more. Everybody went that way.
5:18There was a couple of chases thrown in. But we're not talking enough about the other running backs that were at the
5:26end of the first round, beginning of the second round.
5:30The Barclays. I mean, A-chan is done now. That was injury related, but that team was not looking good.
5:36Who else is there? Hamptons. This trajectory. And even Gentry, who had a fantastic week one versus Miami.
5:43That's, you know, pulled back. So everybody's talking about all the RB twos and threes.
5:48And the RB ones are getting a pass in that, you know, late first, early second.
5:54That's what I noticed. Matt, what's crazy. I don't think it was because of that.
5:59Yeah, Matt. What's crazy about that is I think after week one, we talked and it said like, hey, listen, if you
6:07were in that eight to 12 range, that's what you wanted to draft.
6:11It's looking good. And then the last two weeks, it's like, whoa, like not at all.
6:17You know, the advantage that the Gibbs, B-Jean, Jamar Chase and JSN and even Amon Rod like that.
6:23You know, if you've got one of those top four or five picks right there, you're covering up a lot of holes
6:31and you're scoring some really good points through three weeks.
6:35You most likely came back with a, you know, it may be landed on a lot of a Derek Henry, Zay Flowers, guys like that.
6:44You know, it's it's it is what it is right now through three weeks.
6:49All right. Nelson. What am I? What do you want to know?
6:53What's on your mind? What do you see? Nelson's like a deer.
6:57Nelson's ready for the show. Yeah. I think we're all still shell shocked from what we saw in week three.
7:04We're trying to figure it all out. Nelson. I mean, I just I just think that, you know, it's it's like every
7:12week in the NFL, like there's guys that are going to be inconsistent.
7:17So one week we're feeling good about a certain team and a guy puts up 20 or whatever.
7:23And then the following week he's he's putting up single digits or zero.
7:28And and we're now we're scratching our heads trying to make sense of all of it.
7:33So I think we got to be able to take a lot of this stuff in stride.
7:39And listen, I feel like it's like Groundhog Day because this happens every year.
7:44And and I always say it to myself. And then I try to remind people that it's a grind.
7:51Like fantasy football is not going to come easy.
7:54Like sometimes, you know, things work out on a majority of your teams.
7:59But for the most part, for guys like us where we're doing volume or whatever, we're going to have some clunkers.
8:06We're going to have teams that are are just struggling and and we're trying to make sense of it.
8:13Things are not going right. Like that's the the advice that I can give is that it's a grind.
8:20If you came into the season thinking, you know, piece of cake, life's easy.
8:25I drafted the perfect team. All the players that I need are already on my roster.
8:30I don't need to grind waivers. I'm going to be injury free.
8:35No injuries to my teams. Yeah, life is great.
8:38But that's just not the case. It's not reality.
8:41But it sure is nice when you get off to that nice start.
8:45You know, you're scoring points. You look like you have the right combination.
8:50You're you know, you're you're healthy. Your team's not banged up, Nelson.
8:54But my question to you with saying that and it's all true, everything you just said.
9:00But it's not a good feeling when you've had a bumpy three weeks and now the injuries are kicking into your team.
9:08So now you your players didn't get off to like a great start.
9:12There's a lot of inconsistency, which there will be across the board.
9:17It happens every year. And this is where the grind starts.
9:21Right. You might be in eighth place, ninth place and points.
9:24You're one and two, whatever. Like Dan said at the opening.
9:28But now what happens is it's one thing to be through three weeks and and in that position and being like, all
9:36right, you know, listen, my guys are just they haven't clicked yet.
9:40But when you're in that position and now you lose three or four guys and the injuries start piling up and now
9:48you got to go to your bench because you got two starters that are locked into your your lineup out and you go and look at your bench.
9:58And these are the guys that are terrible through three weeks.
10:02They're basically droppable. Now you stop that. You start saying to yourself, all right, well, the guys that I was depending on aren't working out.
10:11The guys that are on my bench aren't working out and I got to bring them into the lineup.
10:18It gets scary really fast here. You know, yeah.
10:21Two things that I don't think I talked about enough is one.
10:25You got to take after three weeks context like our empire prime time is in my eighth place.
10:31But we're 47 points away from the top. You know, so we're right there.
10:36The other thing is it's never stressed enough throughout the summer and stuff.
10:41How important it is making lineup calls and how difficult it is.
10:45If you actually drafted a good team and you have options, you know, that is there's times you're put you're leaving points
10:53on the bench that, you know, you look back, you kick yourself.
10:57I mean, everybody can do it as a Monday morning quarterback.
11:01But it's tough when you have, you know, those choices.
11:05And that's something I think never gets the attention it should.
11:09For sure, Matt. For sure. I left a lot of points on my benches with tough start, sit decisions.
11:15We all do it. I'm sure. You know. Yep.
11:18The important thing, I think, is to have a good process and just go through that process.
11:24A few days ago on Twitter, I kind of put out what my process is, you know, which a lot of people seem to enjoy.
11:33It's just a matter of, you know, be systematic about it.
11:37It doesn't need to take a long time. It's like, you know, I wrote out this process and it's like 10 tweets long.
11:45But at the same time, you know, I can run through a team and in a minute or less, you know, and
11:53go through all these questions in my head and get these things sorted out.
11:58And a lot of times, you know, there might be one or two places where you're like, I don't know.
12:05I mean, you know, like I got, you know, in FFPC, I had a lineup where I had George Kittle in the lineup.
12:13And then I had Michael Wilson and Terry McCorn on my bench.
12:18You know, it's like I gave that one a little bit of extra thought.
12:23But I just went, buzzed through my lineup, wrote that one down, come back to it later.
12:29You know, those are the ones that you want to kind of come back to and think about a little bit.
12:36But for the most part, you should be pretty quick.
12:40Yeah, Matt, what you got, buddy? I mean, what I've noticed, if I got the question right, but what's standing out to me, I kind of did it.
12:49The Texans running back situation and how after week one, David Montgomery had 23, you know, touches or he had 20 rushes and three targets.
12:58He's gotten 17 and four in the last two weeks.
13:02And I think Woody Marks is a really good pass catcher.
13:06And I thought they would really use him more pass catching wise over the last two weeks with Nonico.
13:12But except for week two, that hasn't happened. And just seeing how that backfield's evolved, the horrible coaching decisions they made.
13:20He punked it on 14 inches week two. They went for week three, didn't get it.
13:26That's their, you know, the charges situation, how that backfield is evolving.
13:30It's, you know, it's concerning. The good. I see the running back takeovers in Arizona.
13:35It's still going to be a bit of a headache.
13:39You know, he's not going away, Algier. But Jeremiah Love is a supreme talent and at some point will pull away or have the majority of it.
13:48I mean, he was in Belcal territory this weekend with 21 rushes and five targets.
13:54Bashal Tootin, the first half, I mentioned that week one, it kind of went under the radar.
14:00How he's somebody we should be looking at. And he kind of pulled away in that first half.
14:06It was a little closer in the second half, but it was a blowout.
14:11So, you know, that's the running back thing. I stay on the Washington offense.
14:16I think that is something to buy. They have probably the two worst cornerbacks in the league or at least bottom five.
14:24They're going to be throwing. Mariota's a competent backup.
14:27McLaurin's got better numbers with him. Again, Terry week two should have had like a 30 burger.
14:33We saw this past week he played well. And the other thing was it was sad to see Adonai Mitchell not play.
14:41All my ladders got voided. But right before kickoff, I did take Sadiq.
14:45I put a honey on him to score the first touchdown at 21.
14:50So that was nice. And Sadiq has now emerged.
14:53I spent $230 after week one in fab at a prime time.
14:57The Greek told me I was crazy, but actually looking pretty good right now.
15:02And he was a target late. Sadiq, you know, after as we went into the season, we talked about it on this show, Matt, with Sadiq.
15:11He was that guy that it was an obvious 18th, 19th, 20th round dart throw just to put on your team.
15:19And now look at us three weeks into the season.
15:22And if Adonai Mitchell is going to sit out a little bit here, and even if he isn't, this guy looks the
15:30part of someone that has to be on the field for the Jets in this offense.
15:36I loved what I saw out of the Jets and Sadiq and Garrett Wilson, who I think is a comfortable top 10 fantasy wide receiver all year long.
15:46So, you know, wheels up. Sadiq, you got to start starting this guy going forward.
15:51Say that again? The big takeaway for me with the Jets offense is Geno is getting the protection for the most part.
15:59I know at the end of the game, you know, but that was like a good job.
16:05But he's getting the protection. That line, like you said, is very good.
16:10And like I said, I wasn't in on Sadiq until end of August, beginning of September.
16:15Ferguson has just gotten way too expensive. He missed all OTAs in camp, but he was back and he was going to be practicing.
16:24And he was a dark throw. I put him on like four of my seven OCs that final week and one of my two prime times.
16:33So hopefully, you know, that's a thing that's cemented itself going forward.
16:37And, you know, shout out to Stevie the Greek and Spiteri.
16:41I see them checking in in the chat over here from our sister show, the fantasy sit down.
16:47I believe it's on Fridays. I did try to check in on them on Friday.
16:53Is the sit down a reference to how they pee?
16:56I'm just curious. It might be, Dan. But the sit down show, you know, I love these guys.
17:03I'm rooting for them. I checked in on Friday a couple of minutes and then I had to run.
17:09I apologize. I dropped the viewership from double digits to single digits of that show.
17:15But like I said, I'm rooting for them big time.
17:18I did hear through the grapevine that they said our show is dry toast.
17:23I believe Steve the Greek said that. And I'm going to go back.
17:28I'm going to watch the show because I'm sure I missed nothing but 45 minutes of Steve the Greek just talking about
17:36his players and how many players shares he's got of each guy and how each of his teams are doing.
17:43Riveting, you know, radio podcasting. But we love those guys.
17:46We root for them. And all the best to you guys.
17:50So take a listen to fantasy sit down. I think it's Fridays or something like that.
17:56Our resident guy right here, Matty Modica, Janice Rossi over here.
18:00Janice Rossi, our whore in three feet. You have a whore in six feet.
18:05He goes and he tries to on Friday bail that show out with his knowledge.
18:10But if you want knowledge, actual football knowledge of a show, you know, the brains of the franchise operation is right here.
18:18You know what it is? You know what it is?
18:21So watching that show, it reminds me. Everyone has like, you know, the uncle that's a little slow and he's a little weird or whatever.
18:30Like, it reminds me of that. It reminds me of like three uncles.
18:35Like, they're a little slow or whatever. You got to give them a pass.
18:40Don't take it too serious. Feed them soup. Yeah, feed them soup.
18:44There you go. Sit in the corner and the holiday parties.
18:48Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I'm saying. Stinky Creek is rubbing his dog in each episode and the thing.
18:55They got tech issues out of the ass over there.
18:58It's a disaster, Nelson. You're right. Yeah. I mean, you know, Paul, this is like his life dream, right?
19:05Paul always wanted to get into entertainment. It's a Make-A-Wish program.
19:09100%. It's Terry's Make-A-Wish podcast. You got to leave these guys alone.
19:13Yeah, we will. We will. I say nothing on either show.
19:17I just sit here and laugh. But I got to say, I'm excited for Friday.
19:22100%. I'm excited to watch you, Janice. Should be a good one.
19:26Should be a good one. I wear the Janice Rossi badge of pride.
19:31Oh, by the way, National Croft Day. Matt, is your little name Judas?
19:36I have done nothing wrong. He's just trying to help out a fledgling podcast.
19:41I mean, you know. We're all men here. Everybody can stand up for themselves.
19:46Absolutely. Absolutely. So it's all good. All right. So getting back to the actual point of the show, which I think is fantasy football, but I'm not sure.
19:55All right. Yeah. It had to be said, Dan.
19:59I will say. I will say. I will say.
20:02The Make-A-Wish line was fantastic. It was. That was great.
20:05It really was. Yep. All right. Back to fantasy, boys.
20:09Back to fantasy. I know Nelson took some heat last night.
20:13I took some heat as well. Both of us talking about how good the Bears offense looked with Case Keenum.
20:20And, of course, you get all these thin-skinned Bears fans.
20:23And they're all, oh, Caleb Williams is a much better quarterback.
20:2759-point tweak one. And, you know, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
20:32I think there are a lot of people missing the point there.
20:36You know. Yeah. Caleb Williams is the better quarterback.
20:39Everybody gets that. But the offense is much more on schedule with Case Keenum.
20:44Different game plan. I know, you know, Caleb is out there hunting big plays.
20:49All that kind of stuff. With Keenum, he doesn't have the arm for that.
20:54He's, you know, playing a different game plan. But for your burden shares, for your Loveland shares, there's no doubt Case Keenum is better.
21:02I'm not wishing Case Keenum will start. Caleb Williams deserves the job.
21:07There's no quarterback controversy here. But just, you know, it would be nice if Caleb would sometimes just take the throw that's
21:14there instead of trying to turn it all into hero ball.
21:18But then, wasn't it last year when I said in the summer that Bajan was said to be the better one to run this offense in the summer?
21:28You know, by all the beats and everybody. And I was ridiculed for the whole season.
21:34I was the Bajan lover and all that. Just repeating facts.
21:38Look, nobody's saying. Nelson never said Caleb is – Keenum is better than Caleb.
21:43He worded it specifically. He runs the offense efficient.
21:46He looked like a goth clone last night. Would he get exposed after a week?
21:51I think if it's this week Caleb don't play, I think Bajan probably starts.
21:56I think they know. Can we talk about – I was going to say, Matt, I don't know about that after last night, Matt.
22:05And that's going to be interesting. It will. And, you know, Caleb's probably going to miss three or four weeks here.
22:12What you get in Case Keenum is one of these coaches on the field, a smart veteran quarterback, like a Carson Wentz
22:20coming in for a Kyler Murray in Minnesota and moving the offense and flowing.
22:25Now everybody's like, oh, Carson Wentz is better than Kyler for the offense.
22:29Same thing's going to be said here with Keenum.
22:33But I'm bringing it back to fantasy here. Is Keenum a – is Keenum an ad, a pickup this week for the next three weeks?
22:42Or are they going to go back to the guy they paid in Bajan for these next two, three, four weeks?
22:49Because one of these pieces, whoever is the starting quarterback, is going to be a valuable quarterback to stream, especially in a
22:57time where the Drake May owners are looking for answers, the Justin Herbert quarterbacks are looking for answers.
23:03We just did this with Geno Smith this past week on the waiver wire, and it came up aces, right?
23:1036 NFC fantasy points. You take the veteran, you put him in a couple weeks, it gets you through the Drake May,
23:18Justin Herbert, or whoever else you're struggling with right now.
23:22So to get that answer right is the most important thing, I think, here.
23:27I'm a big Caleb Williams owner. For whatever reason, Saturday night and Thursday, I was picking up Bajan.
23:33I had a couple Bajan shares just to back up Caleb and then thinking that maybe he would start Saturday just to have it.
23:41I didn't have either one of them. But going forward, I might have to drop Bajan to try and get Case Keenum.
23:49So hopefully there's a little more clarity here, but I think one of them is startable, whoever is the starting quarterback.
23:57Well, just real quick on the quarterback injuries and stuff that happened over the last week or so.
24:03I mean, there's some really good – everybody ran to get Jameis, which I really had no interest in.
24:10But there's Brissette is available. You got Geno. You got Mariota if Daniels doesn't come back this week.
24:16So, I mean, there's guys there. And even Sam Donald, he just knows to throw the damn ball to JSN.
24:23And everybody knows it's coming, but nobody can stop it until that happens.
24:28So there is more options than you would think on the wire quarterback.
24:32Yeah, hopefully we get some clarity out of Ben Johnson as to who he plans on starting.
24:38I mean, I would think that if Bajan is your QB2 going into the season, that wouldn't change just because he got
24:46a concussion and you were kind of forced to start Case because Case was the guy taking all the snaps in practice and everything.
24:55I understand why there's any case out there. I am curious with that, Dan, because when I saw him clear concussion protocol,
25:02I was like, oh, okay, they're going to go to him.
25:06And, like, he knows the offense, right? So, like, he doesn't need that many first-team reps.
25:12I almost wonder, Dan, did Ben Johnson see Keenum in practice getting these reps?
25:17It was like, he looks good. He looks good to me.
25:21Hey, Bajan clears concussion protocol. He says, no, I'm still going to go with Keenum.
25:26There's a possibility that that was the case. Yeah, I think there's a possibility that that was the case.
25:33But also, I think you've got to think about the fact that maybe he was planning on having a quick hook with Keenum if it didn't work out.
25:43He was like, well, you know, we gave him the reps.
25:47We're going to let him start the game. But you know what?
25:51If things aren't working out, we're going to toss Bajan in.
25:55And things were working out. He said in the press conference last night that Saturday night when they went through the game
26:03plan, it was basically Keenum that did all the talking, had all the control.
26:08And Bajan didn't clear on Saturday. He was cleared to practice.
26:12He hadn't cleared the protocol yet. So that's the answer right there, is they went through practice all week long with Keenum being the first team, reps, everything.
26:21And then to flip it and not, you know, at the last second on Saturday night and be like, all right, now
26:29that Bajan cleared, throw him into the mix, into the fire.
26:33So it was going to be Keenum the whole time.
26:37Okay. But now with a full week going in, do you go back to your regular backup or, you know?
26:44I think that's the tricky question, right? Because does he get Wally pipped?
26:48Because Keenum looked really good. The offense, the offense was really good.
26:53Yeah. I just worry as good as Keenum looked last night.
26:56And it was a couple of throws I think they did mention that could have been pick six.
27:03I think after that, like one game, he probably gets exposed.
27:07That's wild stuff. That wild stat from yesterday, Matt, that you sent us that has to be talked about.
27:13The case Keenum versus Andy Dalton last night at one point when Dalton came in, shit his pants, threw an interception, ruined the game for the Eagles.
27:23But they faced each other in the 2007 Alamo Bowl.
27:27Keenum versus Andy Dalton when Houston played TCU. And now 20 years later on Monday Night Football.
27:33Absolutely amazing. That is wild. Keenum, I'm sure, will be one of these guys that will be five years from now an offensive coordinator in the NFL.
27:42He's one of those types. Yeah. And can we, before we get off the subject, can we talk about Caleb Williams sitting on the bench?
27:51Like, as somebody put it, and I won't say who, looking like a gay porn star.
27:57You know, you see most quarterbacks when they're, you know, when they're out like that, you know, they got the headset on.
28:04They're totally dialed into the game plan, everything else.
28:08And here's Caleb Williams. You're right. Just sitting there with his hoodie and his sunglasses.
28:13And I'm too cool for any of this. I called him Jesse Smollett.
28:18I'm stating the audience. I called him Jesse Smollett.
28:21Yeah. Yeah. No doubt. No doubt. All right. He's a different cat.
28:25Yeah. That would be one way to put it for sure.
28:29Okay. We're going to take a quick break here.
28:32We'll be right back. All right. So get it now.
28:36It's $45, not per month, per year. So let's go start building super teams.
28:41Flowing ad budget on metrics that look great till the CFO sees them.
28:45That's bull spend. And marketers are calling it out in dashboard confessions.
28:49I remember telling my boss, it'll be good for the brand when leads were slow.
28:55Yeah, it wasn't. Cut the bull spend. LinkedIn lets you target by company, job title, and more.
29:01Advertise on LinkedIn. Spend $250 on your first campaign and get a $250 credit.
29:06Go to LinkedIn.com slash campaign. Terms and conditions apply.
29:09Every game day, you show up for your team.
29:12Now it's your time. Ask your prescriber about Wegovi.
29:15That's a big deal. That's a big deal. That's a big deal.
29:20That's a big deal. That was great. That was great.
29:23Kyle Pitts owners still stuck at that starting gate.
29:26But that Falcons offense, it's going to be a dream if you're the Bijon and Drake London owner every week.
29:33It's consolidated to two guys. They touched the ball 90% of the snaps.
29:38And, you know, it looked good. You know, that looked real good.
29:42And on the opposite side, that Green Bay team, it was what we thought it would be.
29:48Tucker Craft has got to come along a little more here in the offense.
29:53But when Jordan Love drops back and if that offensive line can not get him killed, which is a big problem going
30:01forward, Matthew Golden, wide receiver two, Christian Watson, wide receiver one, you know, for fantasy each week going forward in this offense.
30:09Being that you mentioned Green Bay, I think we need to stay on this for a second and look at the running back position.
30:17I mean, I know Caleb didn't really have like a big night, but he just, if you look from the Jet game,
30:25even the one pass he caught, he just seems to have so much more juice than Marshawn Lloyd.
30:31I mean, I dumped some Marshawn Lloyd shares on Saturday night.
30:35That was my next question. And I'm dumping the rest.
30:39I'm not saying Caleb's going to be anything great, but I think he's going to get more of an opportunity going forward.
30:47So do we all feel that Marshawn Lloyd is an automatic drop after what we've seen?
30:52Or are we holding Marshawn Lloyd on Wednesday night?
30:56I'll probably hold in some places, but yeah, he's definitely on that borderline of drop worthy.
31:01Yeah. Well, here's the thing too we have to mention.
31:05The judge has refused to seal the evidence. So I don't think what's his name is coming back, Jacobs, anytime soon because
31:13the NFL does not want another Ray Rice incident.
31:16Yeah. But to me, Matt, it's not so much of a Josh Jacobs, oh, he's going to be back soon, whatever.
31:23It's a three man backfield behind the worst offensive line in football.
31:27None of them are doing shit. And they're all three points to five point type running back.
31:33You never, never mind wanting a three headed running back in a good offense.
31:38You don't want a three headed running back in a, in a shit situation.
31:43I agree. So, I mean, what are we hoping for when we put Marshawn Lloyd in our lineups going forward?
31:50If you're that desperate is, is, you know, what to get like that jet game when he, you know, at least caught a touchdown out of the backfield.
32:00You know, it's, I, I have him in as a drop on a lot of my leagues for Wednesday night.
32:07I'll say that much, especially that we have a lot of options to pick up this week.
32:13In fact, finally, somehow. If you look at these running backs that are available, that are low owned, most of them 50,
32:21you know, at least 60% less, you know, I think Ollie Gordon's only like 9% only than the prime times.
32:28Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The key is who you're dropping them for, for sure.
32:33There's a lot of shit at the end of, you know, people's running back rooms right now.
32:39A lot of RB, right or wrong guys, you're looking at your teams.
32:44You got seven running backs on your team. How many are useful out of the seven?
32:50Well, especially when, you know, three of them are injured.
32:53Yeah. And then, yeah. And then you're putting guys like Hall and Travis Etienne to, you know, on your benches now.
33:01Devin Achan is, by the way, we, we wiped out Etienne, H-A-N, all of the above, whoever you want to say their names, everything.
33:09Both of them are gone in one week. So you won't hear a lot of that.
33:15That's what he gets for changing his name to H-A-N.
33:18Yeah. Five years he goes with Etienne and all of a sudden now it's H-A-N.
33:24Yeah. But, so that's, that's one of the things on my mind right there was that Packers-Falcons game that again, two weeks
33:31in a row with the Sunday being so shitty, the Thursday night game produced, you know, the most fantasy points carnival that you call it.
33:40Even though it was kind of an ugly game at the end of it, London, huge numbers, B-Jean, Golden, Watson, Jordan Love gave you a good game.
33:50You know, so it was a, it was a useful fantasy game.
33:54Yep. All right. No. Oh, go ahead. Just before we go off this topic, the other observation is, I mean, Taylor Shuck,
34:02a must start every week now, I have to assume.
34:05I mean, he's really catapulted himself. The guy's been like a quarterback six for like dating back to the end portion of last year.
34:14Imagine when he gets Jordan Tyson back, what this offense could be.
34:18You know, I hate the winner thing, but Tyler Shuck at the quarterback position and Brock Purdy, these guys were drafted outside the top 10 at the position.
34:28And these guys could absolutely cash in as top five fantasy quarterbacks this year.
34:33Yeah. Last, last week I said Brock Purdy was kind of a pretty boy, Baker Mayfield.
34:39Now, Baker Mayfield wishes he could be Brock Purdy at this point.
34:43So, yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think, I know Chris said last week Herbert was going to his benches.
34:50I had to play Herbert last week. It was versus that Bills defense.
34:54And they should have had so many points. They were plus four in the turnovers.
34:59The Bills had 10 penalties. They ran down the field all game long.
35:04They either kicked the field goal or they turned it over inside the 20 or the 10 all game long.
35:11And now Herbert's on my bench this week. I can tell you that much facing Seattle.
35:17That's it. I think. Yeah. I said it last week that there was three quarterbacks that I have a decent amount of that are just not playing good.
35:27You can just see it. It was Drake May, Justin Herbert, Baker Mayfield.
35:31So, you know, those guys just. So, I felt like it was time to, you know, make a move.
35:38Make sure that I have good quarterback. You know, a good number two behind those guys.
35:44And start playing them. Because you just can't keep taking those kind of low scores from those guys week in, week out.
35:52At some point, sometimes we got to be patient with certain guys.
35:56But with like those quarterbacks, you got to start streaming and making it work.
36:01You got guys like Geno Smith and Kirk Cousins that have come out of nowhere.
36:06And they're, you know, they look good. Like they're putting up points.
36:10So, you know, it's hard to argue with it.
36:13If they have good matchups, you got to play those guys.
36:17Nelson, don't you feel that the, you know, this week was the huge turning point, right?
36:23We all, we go in with our draft plans.
36:26We got our players and everything. The first week happens.
36:30You're like, ah, it's still preseason. Week one is wacky, whatever.
36:34Two weeks. All right. You know, I'm a little concerned after two weeks.
36:38Three weeks now is when we start saying, all right, we have three weeks of evidence here.
36:44This guy sucks. He's struggling. This guy isn't going to work out.
36:49Now we can define our lineup starting in week four and say comfortably, okay, it's not happening for Drake May.
36:56It's not happening for Justin Herbert. You know, just like this past week, like Matt said, I had to go back to Herbert that one more time.
37:05Well, now we have three weeks of this offense is broken right now.
37:10Just like Drake May, just like, you know, some of these offenses.
37:14I wrote down Chargers, Pats, Bucks, Texans. These offenses are broken right now.
37:19The one thing too, Chris, is that with Drake May, I was willing to give him a pass because of the defenses
37:26that he's faced to start the year. But my observation, something's wrong with him.
37:31Okay. And I'm talking like shoulder wise, like injury.
37:35Because he's got, to me personally, has one of the best arms in the NFL.
37:40And we saw it time and time again last year with like his deep balls, like the accuracy and everything.
37:47Something's off with him. And I, and I think there's something, whether it's mentally, but injury wise also with Justin Herbert, he doesn't get a pass.
37:56Right. When you're talking about, you gotta, you gotta hold on that Arizona, Vegas, and now the bills.
38:03And like you said, you said, I gotta go back to the well one more time with this bills defense.
38:10Come on. Like he, he's gotta do something. He's gotta start producing.
38:14And now he runs into four weeks of defenses that you don't want.
38:18He's not going to improve, you know? And if he does, so be it, you know, at least bring them back off your bench.
38:27But I'll say this. I think you're going to see some people, some owners drop Drake May and Justin Herbert tomorrow night.
38:35I think you're going to see a couple of shares get dropped.
38:39And, uh, I don't know if we can ever remember a time where QB two off the board in fantasy and QB
38:47five or six people started dropping shares, um, after three weeks.
38:51Uh, here's my honest assessment though of Herbert. Like I've been watching, I watched that bills game and even the other games.
38:59He's made some bad throws. No doubt. I got to give him criticism here, but there's been key passes in these games that keep getting dropped.
39:08Gadsden. They could have pulled away in that big play.
39:11Uh, QJ first down. I mean, QJ's awfulness cannot be understated.
39:15That guy is just trash. I'm sorry. And you know, with may it's, what do you do now?
39:22Cause the next nine games look so ripe. We were going to hold off on that for later, but I'm looking at
39:29that schedule and as good as the bills are, the defensive line is good.
39:34The rest of that defense is trash and the charges proved they went up and down the field all game only scored 16, but moved up and down.
39:44So I mean, I drink may, I don't know what to do with this week.
39:49I'd have more confidence in Herbert somehow. I'd have more confidence in Herbert than may, because based on the talent, patch just don't have the weapons.
39:59I just don't have the talent there at the receiver position.
40:03You could throw your names out there with Dobbs and, and, uh, you know, Demario Douglas.
40:08They don't have the horses there right now to get through.
40:12The AJ. What's the difference from last year? Major, major blow.
40:16There is no difference. There is no difference. There was digs that had, had a few big games.
40:22The point is, is may as he's playing like dog shit and you know, we're, we're calling him out on it.
40:30And, you know, I've got him in a couple of spots and he's going to be on my bench until he shows me he can play better.
40:39I mean, you know, I've, I've got other options at quarterback, you know, like, like Nelson, uh, you know, after seeing the,
40:47you know, what happened on week one, I was a little bit alarmed after week two, I was very alarmed and I
40:55started, you know, making sure that I had somebody else that was startable and I, I started Drake may in one spot last week.
41:04The rest of the time, you know, I, I did the same thing as, uh, as Nelson did.
41:10I started Gino Smith over him. I think quite a few of us did that.
41:15It, you know, you just can't be playing the guy when he's not playing well and you got to sit him on
41:23the bench until he, you know, maybe he does get better to your point.
41:28I agree with last week. That was Jacksonville. They have a very good defense.
41:33You're going to, you're going to Buffalo and Buffalo is just, she's just, I mean, JJ Stroud, uh, did, did it to them.
41:41I mean, every team is moving up and down the field on the bills.
41:46Right. So, I mean, it's like, what do you do?
41:50I mean, unless you have, I mean, I don't know.
41:53You got to, you got to sit him. You got to sit him.
41:58You got to sit him. You sit him. You sit him until they show you they can play better.
42:04I mean, how many times are you going to let him torpedo your team?
42:09Outside of fantasy, obviously I'm a Drake may fan, right?
42:13I'm a Patriots fan. But some, um, um, my observation, like I said, something's wrong more than just, he's playing like crap.
42:21You're saying from the injury from last year carried over.
42:24Probably. There's some, he does not have the same zip on the ball.
42:29Right. He he's under throwing all his deep balls are, have been under thrown.
42:34Okay. That didn't happen last year. Last year he was on the money or he was a little ahead of the receiver.
42:42Never had an under throw. Some, something I just, I, I refuse to believe that he's regressed this much, this, this badly.
42:49Okay. And, and, and I get the whole schedule thing and everything.
42:54He's faced some tough defenses, but there's other parts watching the game that tells me like there's something else going on with him.
43:02So I think you have to sit him. I made that decision last week, week three.
43:07I said, I sat him across the board and, and I streamed quarterback this week against Buffalo.
43:13I get Matt's point that the matchup is good to go back to it.
43:18But just like Justin Herbert, I, I, I can't, they're just not playing good right now.
43:24And I, I gotta see it. I, I, I know the sound, this is like a, like a rookie move, right.
43:32By me saying this, that I, I gotta see it to believe it or whatever.
43:37I gotta see it first, but I do. Well, Nelson, the opposite of that is what we always talk about.
43:44I mean, you're going to stick with a guy and let them sink you for the next four or five, six weeks.
43:52It's over. So you might as well do it the opposite way.
43:56I, I've switched my approach. I don't stick with guys no more.
44:00That's it. I'm getting rid of it. I'm jumping ahead of it.
44:04Once you show me that maybe you're turning in the corner, then I'll come back and bring you back into my lineup.
44:12But I'm not going to die with you for five, six, seven weeks, you know?
44:18No, but here's the contrarian view that I'll, I'll just present.
44:21You just got shit on for three weeks by this guy.
44:25And now he's got a really good matchup. And if you don't play him and he goes off and you miss that, he puts up 40 points.
44:35Look, this is a game, like I said, the reason last week with the charges, the Patriots are in desperate mode here versus the Bills.
44:44They need this game. And you're never as bad as you look the week before.
44:49And it's the NFL. We see, just look at Survivor this year.
44:53Look at Survivor this year and what's happened and how many people are gone.
44:58So, as a Bills fan, I mean, I think they win that game.
45:03I think it's going to be a tough game.
45:06Matt, have you stuck with Drake May and your Drake May teams three weeks in a row?
45:12I started, what's his name, Jordan Love over him last week.
45:16I don't have a lot of Drake. So, you didn't even stick with him for these three weeks?
45:22No, no. That, in that, look, I thought the Packers were going to put up a lot of points last week.
45:30He was facing Jacksonville. My point is now this week, he has a really good matchup with his defense.
45:37That's what I'm trying to say here. So, for you, Matt, he's moved to matchup dependent, I think.
45:43Yes. I'm talking schedule now. But here's the thing.
45:46My philosophy is exactly what Matt is saying for your first few, for your top round picks.
45:52Your first, second, third, fourth round picks. I believe that when you get the bad game, you've got to stick with those
46:00guys through the bad games because when they put up the good games, now you're going to – it's the whipsaw effect.
46:08Okay? Okay? So, like Colston Loveland. My advice to people is you're playing Colston Loveland.
46:13As soon as you start putting TJ Hawkinson and a Rondé Gadsden in the lineup for Loveland, you're getting 2Q and it's going to backfire.
46:22You play those guys. But with quarterbacks in fantasy, I think you can pick up guys off the waiver wire and you
46:30can stream them and it's a viable strategy while you sit a Drake May, a Justin Herbert, guys like that.
46:37I mean, the flip side for me is just, look, I picked up Geno.
46:42I started him in a couple of spots. But what if Geno puts up like a Jalen Hurts night last night and
46:49then you sat Drake May and even if the Bills are winning big, the Patriots aren't giving up this week.
46:57And they're going to throw the ball and you can just – they've got no linebacker secondary to Bills.
47:03So, that's where I'm tuned. I'm just trying to say that.
47:07I think we've got to go off of what we see.
47:11You know, Nelson was saying, you know, it's kind of a, you know, you don't want to play the, well, I've got
47:19to see it before I can trust it. And I get that.
47:23But on the other hand, you know, you have to go by what you have already seen.
47:29What we've already seen from May, you know, leads me to believe that I don't want to trust him against Buffalo because
47:37of the fact that not only does he look like he doesn't have velocity on his throws, he looks off there.
47:44But he's making decisions that don't make sense to me.
47:48You know, that throw into the end zone at the end of the game, week one, made no sense to me.
47:55He's stepping up into the pocket right into sacks rather than standing back where he's got a good pocket and, you know, firing the ball.
48:04And he just, like, runs himself right into a sack.
48:08You know, things like that, they bother me. And when I see quarterbacks who are doing that, that tells me that they are lost mentally.
48:17And clearly he's got something going on with them physically.
48:20So why do I want to jump into that buzzsaw?
48:24I don't want to do it. Okay, so here's the key question.
48:28You're benching May. You're starting Geno over him. You're starting, say, Mariota, Brissett.
48:33All these guys are getting started over May, right?
48:36That's what I'm assuming. I'll look at my teams for week three.
48:40That's exactly who I started over May last week.
48:43I mean, but week three, he was at Jacksonville.
48:46That's a good defense, at least. I mean, I could make that argument.
48:51I'm just – the point is this week versus the Bills.
48:55That's what I'm trying to say. Like, if you're super confident Geno's going to go off against the Bears.
49:02I understand a down game against Jacksonville. What I saw against Jacksonville for May, that I don't understand.
49:08Okay. I just – I thought that was a discussion that – That was a good discussion.
49:14We like bouncing around the show sheet. We don't mind.
49:17But I do think we've about exhausted that topic, so we'll move on.
49:22Last thing I want to say. Can we just stop making excuses for guys like BTJ and Marvin Harrison Jr.?
49:29And, you know, it's okay to beat a top – you know, I don't care what cornerback you went up against.
49:37It's okay to beat a top cornerback. Devontae Adams going up against Pat Sertain.
49:42He beat him. You know, he had a great game against him.
49:46I don't care who BTJ and Marvin Harrison Jr.
49:49are going up against. They're looking terrible, benchable, droppable, whatever you want to say.
49:54Okay. I agree with that. Yeah. No doubt. Those two are definitely bomb picks in round five and six.
50:01Yeah. I think after three weeks, sometimes we just got to – if, you know, it is what it is.
50:08It is the old saying, right? And those are just bad picks.
50:12Yeah. Like if you have them on your teams, you made a bad pick.
50:17The Jags offense and the Cardinals offense really showed who they were this past week, made things a lot more clear for
50:25anyone that had any doubt, in my opinion. You know, Michael Wilson is going to be an unbelievable pick.
50:31We've talked about in the last week or two about like that round six through eight at wide receiver, how nothing came
50:39of it other than like Golden and Josh Downs that could be potential hits.
50:44Michael Wilson is going to headline that class, I think.
50:48You know, 17 targets. Him and Trey McBride are going to be the passing offense.
50:53Matt talked earlier about how Jeremiah Love took over this backfield.
50:57He's going to be a solid mid-round running back pick in round three and four when people are taking him.
51:04They showed their hands, Arizona. Marvin Harrison isn't playable anymore.
51:08In Jacksonville, it's clear Parker Washington is the top gun.
51:11Jacoby Myers is actually going to be another wide receiver, I think, that is going to be a solid flex player going forward for fantasy teams.
51:20And Brian Thomas is the odd man out over there.
51:24Yeah, Josh Cameron. Yeah, there you go. He had the same amount of routes.
51:29But the one thing, I think Marvin is totally done.
51:32And right now, BTJ looks like a terrible pick.
51:36But again, he's somebody I'm keeping on my bench because I think at some point, you know, this season turns up roses for Jacksonville.
51:44And again, there's always injuries. There's always this. And it's a really talented guy.
51:49So I'll drop these guys. And, you know, in the leagues we play in 20 rounds, these aren't guys that you drop.
51:57You know, these are guys that you just you put on your bench, you park them and you say, I'll see you down the road.
52:06Maybe if you could prove yourself or there's an injury, maybe there's an injury to one of these other guys in the offense.
52:14If Michael Wilson went down or Trey McBride went down.
52:17Now, how would you feel about Marvin Harrison putting him in your lineup as a flex player?
52:23You know, when they're in good matchups. You'd hate to drop guys like this.
52:28You don't drop guys like that. You don't drop guys like this.
52:33The only reason why you would see these guys available is dropping them.
52:37OK, so there's two things. You either you're so disgusted that you're just dropping them because you're you're upset with the production or lack thereof.
52:46OK, but you can't tell me that you look up and down your roster that there's guys with more upside than those players.
52:54You put them on the bench and then you try to find playable guys that can get you, you know, 10 to
53:0213 points or something like that in your starting lineup because these guys ain't getting the targets to be able to to produce that.
53:10But you don't go dropping them for some scrub because at the end of the day, like they they're still talented guys
53:18that, you know, all of a sudden there's a trade or whatever and they become the number one on on someone else's roster.
53:26You know that that could backfire. Yeah. Listen, you guys like Brian Thomas, Marvin Harrison in the fifth round, you know, to
53:34be your wide receiver three or maybe in a heavy build your wide receiver for what you hope to have is, you
53:42know, you look down at your your bench, you have maybe a Jordan Addison, a Jacoby Myers, a Malik Washington, who I'm
53:50high on now again going forward, someone that you could get through the this time and bring them into your lineup as
53:58guys that you drafted as your five or your six and and put them in your lineup.
54:04And that's when you luck out if you drafted.
54:07Well, they come in, they hold it down for two, three weeks, maybe while Brian Thomas and Harrison go sit on the
54:15bench till they get their shit together. I mean, Nelson, we did the speculative picks also on guys like Khalif Raymond.
54:22I mean, you know, yeah, Khalif Raymond is 30 whatever years old.
54:26He's been around the league forever. He's never amounted to much.
54:30But you know what? Ben Johnson brought him over for a reason.
54:34You know, you better believe that I was speculatively at him, adding him for almost nothing after week one, because I was
54:42like, I don't know what just happened here, but I'm going to take some shots at Raymond wherever I can afford to
54:50jam him onto the end of my bench. And there's a couple of places where I am playing Raymond, did play Raymond
54:58this past week over Marvin Harrison Jr. And over BTJ.
55:01It's, you know, those are the kind of things you can you got to do.
55:07You can't be too proud to pick up guys like that.
55:11You got to you got to say, you know what?
55:14I understand how this could possibly make sense. It'll probably blow up in my face.
55:19But if it does, I didn't spend that much.
55:23And if it doesn't, I got a super good deal.
55:26Like I'm trying to say here, me and Nelson did these live streams and I was saying it.
55:32BTJ's got that rough first eight weeks. It is a rough first eight weeks.
55:37He was not your, it depends if you went running back heavy or you took tight ends and quarterbacks early.
55:45But a lot of cases, he's your number four.
55:48And he's a guy that you could stash there.
55:51Like you said, you're still drafting receivers. So, I think he has a chance.
55:56I'm not saying he will hit. But that was the kind of the thesis that this is a guy that could be the second half.
56:05Boom. Now that could change with Josh Cameron getting 29% and, you know, catching a touchdown on a beautiful throw that T-Law did.
56:13But we'll see. That's just my point there. I think there's still hope for him.
56:18Or worst case, maybe he gets traded. I think we're all saying there's still hope for these guys.
56:25But they, you know, right now you've got to bench him.
56:28And, you know, while we're on the subject, who else out of those top 100 players are you guys benching?
56:36Chris Godwin. Yeah. Godwin's another. Man, thinking of that fourth, fifth round range of receivers now that we just talked about.
56:43Harrison and Brian Thomas. Man, throw Godwin into the mix.
56:46I was really high on Godwin. I loved picking Godwin on my teams.
56:51I thought it would work out perfectly. Now it's scary that, you know, so Baker's going to miss a month here.
56:59And on top of it, Jalen McMillan goes to IR and he's probably going to miss most of the season.
57:06You know, Godwin has all these things going for him in terms of like what you need.
57:12A buka, the chemistry wasn't well with Mayfield. McMillan's gone.
57:15The defense isn't good where you could get in these matchups.
57:19I know Godwin had a long touchdown back, but now he's got this backup quarterback that I don't know much about here at all.
57:28And to me, Godwin has got to go to your bench until Baker comes back.
57:33And maybe Godwin is a play for, you know, late October.
57:37But for these upcoming weeks, he's going to be on my bench.
57:41And before I flip it over to you guys, I think one of the worst picks, you know, it's looking like is Jadarian Price.
57:50He's going to my bench. You know, I don't have much of him, but the one or two shares I do is going straight to the bench.
57:59Jadarian Price. You know, what's his name? Jalen Daniels.
58:02We don't want to get confused with Jaden Daniels.
58:05But he does have a big arm. He might be better than Jaden Daniels.
58:10Yeah, I mean, he might be better than Baker.
58:14Pretty good chance he's more durable. Yeah. All right, Nelson.
58:17Anybody else in the top 100 you drafted that you're throwing on your bench?
58:22Yeah, I think I agree with Chris. I actually, with Godwin, I want to see a week.
58:28I'm not ready to say that I'm going to bench him until Baker gets back because with a rookie quarterback, sometimes they
58:36just lean on, you know, they focus middle of the field.
58:40And, you know, Godwin operates over there quite a bit.
58:43So I could potentially see where he might actually unlock Godwin.
58:47It's kind of like the Keenum thing with Gurdon, right?
58:51That we saw last night. So you just, you never know.
58:55But I agree with Chris that, you know, this week it's probably a wait and see approach if you've got decent options.
59:02Man, I think there's like, it's ugly out there.
59:06I'd probably say like, Stevenson is another one. Like the Patriots offense just not looking good.
59:11You've got Henderson, you know, way more. Are they playable, Nelson?
59:15I think they are, but like. I think it seems we're a half.
59:20I think you've got to play this week. I think you do.
59:24Yeah. It's tough, but. Why don't they pass the ball to Trevion?
59:28I mean, they have no explosive players. It's just, it's maddening.
59:32The guy in college was known for doing these dynamic pass catches.
59:36Look, maybe you've got to sacrifice a little. He looked to, he looked to improve a bit on the pass block.
59:44He made a couple of really beautiful blocks over the last couple of weeks.
59:49And they won't do it. It's like, you know, you're in a situation here.
59:54No, I agree. Another one that, you know, pains me to talk about because I have quite a bit of these guys.
60:02But Malik Neighbors and Isaiah Likely, I'm really concerned about.
60:05You know, a lot of people come in. Come on in.
60:09But when they went to Winston, I know a lot of people were kind of like, oh, like, I think we're okay.
60:17Like, you know, dart out or whatever. Winston's a gunslinger or whatever.
60:21I didn't. Okay. I wanted to give him a pass.
60:25He looks rusty, blah, blah, blah. Wasn't, you know, ready to gear it up to play or whatever.
60:31And now this week, you know, we were dealing with, you know, bad weather in New York.
60:37Okay. You had high winds, you know, raining. Man, it's still not pretty is the problem.
60:43And I'm wondering if the guy is actually washed.
60:46He may be, Nelson. But Neighbors looked good himself.
60:49Yeah. If he is, we're in trouble, Chris. Because I can tell you right now, like, I have quite a bit of Malik Neighbors.
60:58I did not draft him for the first four weeks of the season.
61:02I drafted him for the second half of the season.
61:06And it was an expensive gamble. Okay. He went in the second round of drafts.
61:11But my theory behind it was that he's going to get right.
61:15He's going to start feeling better. He'll get locked in by the second half of the season.
61:21Give me a healthy Malik Neighbors as a potential difference maker in the second half of the season.
61:28And in the shootout, what I didn't count on was this.
61:32Because the thought did cross my mind. Jackson Dart runs a lot.
61:36He can get hit, get hurt. Okay. There's potential for that.
61:40Just like last year. You know what? They have freaking Jameis Winston.
61:44Gunslinger, baby. I still felt good about it. Because I was like, if the starting quarterback goes down for my top receiver
61:52that I took, I'm still feeling good with Winston.
61:55Right now, I'm not feeling good today. My overall outlook with the Giants here is I don't think Winston's going to be as bad as he's been.
62:04He's needed a couple weeks to shake the rust off.
62:08I kind of throw out last week's game versus Tennessee because it was a slop fest disaster here in New York.
62:15I will say this. Isaiah likely, the airs come out of that balloon after that.
62:21Week one when we all started talking, oh my God.
62:24We have, along with Kincaid, maybe a top five potential tight end in the later rounds.
62:30You can't feel good about that. But here's another thing, caveat with the Giants here.
62:35They just lost Burns on defense. Their defense is falling apart already.
62:40Could we get a little fantasy carnival? And that's when Jameis shines.
62:44And if Jameis is going to shine and the defense is going to suck and we have a little bit of a
62:52fantasy carnival here, Neighbors is going to be that guy that gives us the numbers, I believe.
62:58So I'm maybe not as down on Neighbors as our second round pick, Nelson, as a lot of people probably should be
63:05after three weeks because it's been a disappointing pick, obviously.
63:09Malik Neighbors is three bad games. You know, week one was that, but the last two has been bad.
63:16So let's hope for that with Neighbors. He's got a good matchup.
63:20The next coming weeks, he gets Arizona. He gets Washington.
63:23The schedule opens up a little bit more. They know they have to feed their big dog.
63:29And hopefully he starts getting his season going here in week four.
63:34I have a confession. It better happen with Winston because if not, I do not want J.J.
63:40McCarthy out there. That is not the answer. I'm the one guy that thinks this might work out with J.J.
63:47Oh, my God. I think he's got an arm.
63:50His problem is he doesn't know how to throw the ball not 100 miles an hour.
63:56He's got no touch. But this guy's getting a second chance.
64:00We've seen this happen before. He's getting a second chance.
64:03People forget how terrible Josh Allen was as a pass thrower the first two years.
64:08He's got the profile of a fantasy quarterback. I'm just going to say that.
64:13He can run. He's got a strong arm. It's not accurate.
64:17There's no touch. But in his starts, in his starts, I mean, how many 20 games?
64:23He's got over 20 points in a few of these games.
64:27I understand. You know, he sunk them last year.
64:30It seems like that was just a situation in Minnesota that had to be separated.
64:35And they gave away a fifth-round pick. It's a good trade for the Giants just to take a shot and see what
64:43they have with a guy that was a potential top 10.
64:47But so was Jamarcus Russell. You know, like, sometimes it's a bad pick.
64:52I'll stick by it. McCarthy's a terrible quarterback. And if he gets in the starting lineup, if for whatever reason, if Winston
64:59goes down or they bench Winston and bring McCarthy in, then my neighbor's shares are up in smoke.
65:06If they bench Winston. It didn't cost much. I agree.
65:09As far as the trade itself for the Giants, I agree with it.
65:14Like, it didn't cost much to say, let's see if we can, like, reconstruct this kid and figure things out.
65:21But I can tell you right now that, like, I am hoping that Winston works out and gets out of this funk
65:29and starts becoming the gunslinger of old. Because if they turn to McCarthy, I think we're toast.
65:35Is it Halloween at your house today, Nelson? It's actually mine.
65:39No, that's actually mine. I'm wondering what's going on.
65:42Yeah. Actually my, yeah. Someone needs something. It's a damn door.
65:46Come in. It's probably Spiteri. How dare you call us the sister show?
65:50You got some nerve. What's next? Yeah. All right.
65:54Yeah. JJ McCarthy. I mean, you know, I think he's got all the physical tools.
65:59But if you can't listen to Kevin O'Connell and, you know, try to take some coaching.
66:05And that's basically why they ran him out of Minnesota was he was just not listening to the coaches.
66:11Wanted to do everything his own way. And, you know, he just got tired of it.
66:17I mean, you know, when you're willing to give up a quarterback to basically get a fifth round pick, which is a nothing pick.
66:25And mostly just to free up the roster spot and to free up the salary cap.
66:31Yeah. That's good. Good luck to the Giants on that one.
66:35Hope it works out. But, yeah, I hope Jameis doesn't go down.
66:39So let's move real quick into the over-performing offenses.
66:42Talk a little bit about who's over-performing. I think we should start off talking about the Raiders, Matt.
66:493-0, scoring a lot of points. What do you think?
66:52I want to see what happens this week. Big game.
66:56Kansas City. You know, that AFC West Classic. One of the first times in years I'm excited for a Raiders-Chiefs game.
67:03We were being, like, force-fed this every, like, day after Thanksgiving or some prime time.
67:09You know, Christmas Day. So, look, I mean, Kirk Cousins, what, it's like six touchdown passes.
67:14It's been insane. It's gone well. Brock Bowers is back.
67:18You know, this is the challenge, though. This is where, you know, the spectacularly— It's a real-life challenge, Matt.
67:25Matt, it's a real-life challenge. But for fantasy, the wheels are up and going to stay up in the Raiders' offense, Matt.
67:32That's the thing. I don't care about are the Raiders real?
67:36Are they going to beat the Chiefs? No, but fantasy-wise, this team's legit, and they're going to be there all year long offensively.
67:44And Brock Bowers is going to be the steel of the century in rounds four and five.
67:50The last three days of the fantasy drafts, we should have all been attacking that like it was the gift that keeps on giving.
67:59That's—it's going to be ridiculous. Yes, but like you said, Brock Bowers.
68:03I have a lot of Brock Bowers shares. I am rooting for him tremendously.
68:08But again, I still have some concerns on Bowers' help going forward.
68:12We've just seen this in the past two years.
68:16So, look, things do look on the up and up for the Raiders.
68:20I agree there. But now let's see as it progresses.
68:24We talk about schedule and stuff, and you see how things go.
68:28Schedule's going to get a lot different going forward.
68:31They do have an easy schedule. But I'm just saying that.
68:35I agree with you fantasy-wise. I drafted Jente eighth overall in August.
68:39So, I'm in on this team. I'm just saying we've got to be a little cautious, too.
68:45Cousins was a great pickup last week, too. I mean, you could throw them into your starting lineup everywhere.
68:52You know, no problem at all. Like, I had a lot of Baker Mayfield.
68:57I picked up Cousins and started them over Mayfield every single time.
69:01Last year, you needed CMC, Jonathan Taylor, and JSN to win at Fantasy.
69:06That was the clear advantage. This year, it's still going to be JSN again.
69:11And it's going to be Jameer Gibbs, and it's going to be Brock Bowers.
69:16Those are going to be the three teams, the three players that you're going to see at the top of everyone's teams
69:24at the overall standings and the players you need to win your league.
69:28That's my opinion. I might throw in Kenneth Walker there with you.
69:32He might be one of those guys. There's a few others.
69:36Dijon. There's a few. Yeah, but I think Kenneth Walker's safe.
69:40I don't know. Amonra looks decent to me. I don't know.
69:44You might need him. Yeah. All right. How about the Panthers?
69:48Another offense that's looked real good through the first three weeks.
69:52Are they a product of the schedule, guys? Or are they something you can believe in?
69:58I didn't think they looked all that great against Cleveland this past weekend.
70:02They didn't? Yeah, they didn't. Listen, it's the NFL.
70:05Some teams, yeah, they're pushovers or whatever. But going to Cleveland, I didn't think it was a slam dunk, easy matchup for Carolina to pull off.
70:15Especially on the road. Yeah. 100%. It's the NFL.
70:18The same where they just go there and blow them out.
70:22I figured that Cleveland would give them a tough fight, and they did.
70:26But with Bryce Young, what I'm trying to figure out is in a game where they were trailing, I expected more from Tett McMillan.
70:35And I haven't had a chance to re-watch that game.
70:38I was paying attention, but I don't know. I'm expecting more targets from McMillan.
70:43Treat them like a one. Yeah. Yeah. And it was like you got this Bryce Termaine kid getting targets.
70:50Waller. As soon as Coker went out, Waller started getting more of the shorter routes and stuff.
70:56I don't know if Cleveland, again, I got to watch it a little more carefully to see if they were bracketing McMillan or what was going on.
71:06They were like, we're just going to take him away or whatever.
71:10But that was another observation of mine because I do have a decent amount of McMillan.
71:15And I'm like, okay, last week looked good. Everything's back on schedule.
71:20You know, let's continue. And then this past week, I'm like, I don't know what the heck happened.
71:26Stay on that game real quick. One guy we overlooked this whole show, I think we have to mention his name.
71:34Deshaun Watson has 25 points or more in the last two games.
71:38We talked about all the other backups. I mean, I'm just saying, he's got some weapons now.
71:44And Ovecaro's like the Cleveland offense. You got two good rookies.
71:48He's fanning now has emerged back to being that weapon of mass destruction.
71:52So, you know, we just didn't talk about him.
71:55So it was great to see fan and have that type of game and hopefully emerge now as a weekly top target in the game.
72:04You know, everybody was drafting Casey Concepcion, you know, to be that that guy.
72:09It looks like he's third in the pack. I mean, he's running all the routes, everything.
72:15Maybe it clicks at some point. So throw your hands up in the air between him and Boston each week.
72:22But Harold Fannin hopefully, you know, puts a lot of these games together.
72:27I was starting to get worried about Fannin after the first couple of weeks.
72:32But if Watson and him are going to have that chemistry and everything, then, you know, the Fannin owners feel a lot
72:39better about themselves and what their lineups look like.
72:43Instead of looking for help at tight end position and maybe having a little bit of a grenade on their hands.
72:50Now they have a guy that after this week, they feel like, all right, I'm going to get my money's worth out
72:58of a guy I took in the top 100 at tight end in the top 10 overall at the position.
73:05For the Browns, is there anything worse that could possibly happen than Deshaun Watson giving them just enough hope that they try
73:13to keep him a starting quarterback next year? I mean, they've got a ton of draft capital saved up.
73:19They've got to go into the quarterback market. Yeah, but what about this year?
73:24Like, what about, I mean, he's put up, he's actually looked pretty good the last two weeks.
73:30Yeah, fantasy-wise, but you're going to start him against Pittsburgh?
73:34Are your ad campaigns lighting up the dashboard, but not the pipeline?
73:38That's bullspend. And marketers are calling it out in Dashboard Confessions.
73:42Confessions. My boss asked for results, so I opened my dashboard for the only positive-sounding metric I had.
73:48Impressions. Cut the bullspend. See revenue, not just reach.

74:13Call 1-833-4-WEGOV or visit WeGovi.com to view the medication guide and to learn more about WeGovi.
74:18Why wait? My point is, we talked about all these other backup quarterbacks.
74:23He's got weapons. Casey Concepcion seems to have eaten up all the Jerry Judys, so that's coming, Casey Concepcion.
74:30We know Boston, you know, he's looked good. So if this guy's got these weapons and if Jenkins could run, is he somebody?
74:38Matt, I think it's a matter of when you talk about Watson and all these other quarterbacks that are on waivers sitting there.
74:46You know, there's four to six of them. And, you know, these guys aren't every week plugging and putting your lineup and forget about them.
74:55They're not that good. But it's just like Gino where, you know what, you see down the schedule, hey, next week I got a tough situation here.
75:04Let me go get Watson. He's playing, you know, Dallas.
75:08Or he's playing the Dallas secondary. He's playing the Bears.
75:11He's playing the Lions. You know, they're good enough to pick them up, put them in, and get 25, 30 points.
75:19That was my point. Is he somebody you're considering to pick up?
75:23Because, I mean, we all had – I had Watson done after week two before the second week started.
75:30I'm like, he's never starting a game in Cleveland.
75:33They gave him the two road games, and he's gone.
75:36And now it's a different scenario. Yeah. Yeah, I think you've got to look at it differently.
75:42He's playing good enough that these rookie receivers are relevant, and Fannin is now back to being relevant.
75:49So, yeah, I think Matt makes a good point that, you know, the – listen, when you have quarterbacks that are injured,
75:57there's a ton of them that are injured already.
76:00And you have quarterbacks that are struggling that you don't have confidence in.
76:04And you've got to stream guys like this, Kirk Cousins, Geno Smith, Deshaun Watson.
76:09They're putting up solid production for fantasy. I'm looking forward to Matt debating the Cleveland quarterback with the Greek on Friday.
76:17Yeah. We're going to talk about massage parlors. All right.
76:20How about the Saints? We kind of talked about them already, but you guys fully bought into the Saints offense here?
76:28Any concerns about – How about Noah Fitts? Noah Fitts.
76:31Oh, he can only see one side of the field, any of that?
76:36It's a good offense. Kellen Moore offense. Like, I was bought in before the season started.
76:42It made sense. I mean, coaches. You know, that's the new way.
76:46Buy into these offensive geniuses. Kellen Moore, Kubiak. Look what they're doing.
76:50They're taking teams that have been, you know, perennial dead offenses in the past years.
76:55And they have them humming like the Raiders and the Saints here.
77:00So, I'm buying in big time on both these offenses, quarterbacks, everything included.
77:04You know, the Saints are – Saints are a wagon.
77:08But how often is it you're getting these two tight ends that are just becoming like super weapons in the red zone?
77:16You know, maybe you don't want them that much involved, you know, if you have the receivers.
77:22But the other guy is Kendrick Miller. Can he stay healthy?
77:25I don't know. But when he plays and he's on the field, he usually looks good.
77:31And opportunity in life is almost always everything. And that's coming.
77:35Yeah. All right. Last one I want to cover for sure.
77:39The Jets have looked pretty solid on offense. What do you guys think?
77:44Are the Jets going to continue to be a good source of fantasy points?
77:49Or is it just be glad for what you got?
77:52You know, the first three weeks what I saw was exactly what I was hoping for.
77:58That the offense was going to be all Garrett Wilson and Brees Hall consolidated.
78:03You know, kind of like a Falcons, you know, where, you know, they're very similar.
78:08Like, Brees Hall could have been Bijan, Garrett Wilson, Drake London, and not much else.
78:13But Sadiq is taking the next step here. It looks like he's going to be the number two in this offense going forward.
78:21But, you know, as soon as I got really excited watching that game versus the Lions this past week, we lose Brees Hall now for a few weeks.
78:31I'm not a Braylon Allen guy. So, you know, maybe him and Isaiah Davis be, you know, a 60-40 tandem going forward here.
78:40But the only one to be excited about is Garrett Wilson.
78:43I think he's just going to get peppered on a weekly basis.
78:48Their schedule was a dream. That was another thing I was loving.
78:52You know, you have the Lions. Then you have the Bears.
78:56Then you have the Browns, I think. These three-week stretch here.
79:00And their schedule throughout the season is really nice with some great matchups.
79:04So, hopefully Brees Hall is only out like two weeks.
79:08And then, you know, it could go right back to having him in your fantasy lineups.
79:13I see it a little different because you left that Adonai Mitchell who didn't play close to the finger.
79:20Yeah, but I don't know if he's going to be there.
79:24If he couldn't go on Sunday, is he dealing with a broken finger?
79:29Like, do you really want a receiver that struggles with drops coming into games with a broken finger?
79:35It's not like it's going to be healed in a week.
79:39This is something that was obviously bad enough where he couldn't catch the ball, you know?
79:45I mean, I don't know. They said it wasn't a broken finger, so I'm going to go by that.
79:51But if he's out, even if he's out this week, I'm talking the rest of the season.
79:57As I mentioned earlier in the show, if Geno has protection, I feel confident in this offense.
80:03Because Geno is good enough to get it done.
80:07Now you've got Garrett Wilson. Just say Adonai's healthy.
80:10You've got him. You've got Sadiq. You've got three options on offense, as you mentioned.
80:15They're scheduled for the most part. Last place, very good schedule.
80:19So, yeah, I'm in on this offense. And if it's a – I'd rather have Brees, without a doubt, from my shares alone.
80:27But I think he's better than the other two.
80:30But a Braille and Allen, Isaiah Davis combination, I think, could be good enough in the running back position for them, considering
80:38the options they have when they throw it. Yeah.
80:41Geno Smith, best quarterback in the New York City area.
80:45Let that one sink in. Hey, it's better than DeVito having him.
80:49You know, we've got to deal with this guy.
80:52I feel like he is. The year is 2026, and the New York quarterbacks are Jameis Winston and Jameis Smith.
80:59It's like that TCU game. All right. Let's move to the other side.
81:04Some underperforming offenses. I think the operative question is, is it going to continue, and what is it going to take to break them out of it?
81:14I'll start off with the Vikings. I think that's really obvious.
81:17I mean, the quarterback position is a big, giant, sucking black hole at this point.
81:23Kyler Murray has looked like ass for many games before he came to the Vikings.
81:28He does not look any better in a Vikings uniform.
81:32Carson Wentz, same deal. I honestly might hold out more hope for Carson Wentz than Kyler Murray at this point.
81:39But they just traded away their third string quarterback, and their first two quarterbacks are no good at all.
81:45I'm struggling to see how this offense is ever going to get untracked with those two guys playing quarterback.
81:52Tell me I'm wrong here, guys, but I just don't see it.
81:56I think much – sorry, Matt, did you want to go?
82:00No, no, no, you got it. You got it.
82:03I think much like Case Keenum in the Ben Johnson offense, I think for O'Connell, he was honestly, in hindsight now, looking
82:11back, he was better off just signing Darnold and keeping him.
82:15And I am going to venture to guess that this team would be a contender and the offense would have zero issues right now with Darnold at quarterback.
82:25Right. But what can they do at this point?
82:28I mean, how much longer can Aaron Jones hold up?
82:32They did great for a third quarterback, I think.
82:35I think that's the issue is that if you can bring in a guy who can run the offense because the O'Connell
82:43offense has proven over the years that it's very good, okay, when you have the right leader at quarterback.
82:49And that's the issue right now that O'Connell is running into is if you can get somebody that can keep the offense
82:57on schedule, timing, you know, that's the problem. And that's why I was saying, like, with Kyler, you know, I'm not 100%
83:05sold that he's going to be able to run this offense.
83:09The answer, you know, might be out there. I don't know, like Mac Jones or someone like that.
83:15It's going to take, like, a veteran guy that's just kind of whatever, average.
83:20You get them cheap and they can learn and run the offense.
83:25That they're intelligent in between the years and they can pick up the offense real quick.
83:30That's the only thing that I can come up with.
83:34I don't really have any other answers for Minnesota this year.
83:38Yeah, I fully agree. To Scott's question in the chat, am I down on Jefferson for the rest of the season?
83:45Yeah, I think, you know, I don't see how he's going to pay off his draft cost with the quarterbacking that he's got right now.
83:54Can he kind of hold okay for you, you know, and make it so it's not just a total disaster?
84:01I think so. But other than that, yeah, I think the idea of Justin Jefferson re-ascending to elite status is pretty much
84:09dead until he gets better quarterback play. I think they need a running game as well.
84:14I mean, look, what Aaron Jones is trying to do these last two weeks, he's got like 40 carries.
84:21That's just not his bag anymore. I mean, he's like 33 years old.
84:26So, I mean, look, there's a lot of concerns there.
84:29But, I mean, I'm not going to hold. I'm going to disagree.
84:34I'm not going to say Jefferson's done for the year or even Madison.
84:38I'm going to disagree with Dan on that one with the, you know, Jefferson won't be elite until they get rid of Kyler.
84:46I mean, we saw in week one Jefferson came out and he went right back to elite status.
84:53Week two, solid, you know, and then, you know, caught two balls for 32 yards right off the bat.
84:59Then got hurt. So, Kyler was feeding him and then he had to adjust to life without Justin Jefferson.
85:06And I don't know if that offense is any good with no run game and just Jordan Addison really in the pass game for three quarters versus Tampa.
85:16So, I think the game would have looked a lot different and Jefferson was on his way to putting up some big numbers versus Tampa.
85:25But he went down early. So, I think the jury's still out on Kyler.
85:30And I hope you're right. I think we'll see.
85:33Well, let me ask you a question. Would you prefer Wentz or Kyler?
85:38Because, I mean, I think Kyler's still out. Kyler.
85:41I'll take Kyler still. But I think it's a situation where they both know the mission.
85:47They both know the mission is get the ball to Justin Jefferson and Kevin O'Connell will make that happen.
85:53Will there be some balls batted down, you know, each week with Kyler behind center?
85:59Yeah. But if he goes down and Wentz is my guy, then I'm fine with that, too, because he's a veteran just
86:06like we saw Case Keenum last night. So. That's what I was going to say.
86:12Wentz kind of seems like the Bayesian Keenum of the Bears running that offense for the Vikings, which, you know, that's all.
86:19But I don't know. All right. How about how about the Texans?
86:24I mean, to me, the Texans is it's it comes down to they got a terrible offensive line and they've got nobody threatening, you know, down the field.
86:34So teams are just stacking the line of scrimmage and just daring them to to beat them with short throws or with the running game.
86:42And it's just not happening. Shout out to C.J.
86:46Stroud. Yeah. The offensive coordinator, he called them out.
86:49He said we're way too conservative. That's what they seem to want to do.
86:54I mean, what's his name? Isaiah Hutchinson. Did he break his collarbone in that game?
86:59You know, I just don't know why they don't get Jalen or well involved when you don't have no Nico or Woody Mox more in the passing game.
87:09I mean, you talk about challenging them, you know, defenses deep.
87:13Like that's why you traded for Keyshawn Booty. Like, yeah, that's his bread and butter.
87:18That's what he was very good at, you know, is downfield.
87:22And you're sitting there and like you're watching the game.
87:26You're like, what is this offense? Like, what are they doing?
87:30They're not even playing the guy. Like, I don't get it.
87:33It's just a – I think it's not – I think you can make it work with the players they have.
87:41I think it's just bad coaching. Well, the last two weeks has been Isaiah Hutch – Xavier Hutchinson and what's the other guy's name?
87:49Jared Wayne. Those have been the guys they've been using.
87:53So, I don't know. So, yeah, that's – My bet on Houston over 9.5 wins is not looking real good right now, guys.
88:01Looks as good as my Chargers over 9.5 then.
88:04Yeah, you and me both. We'll be crying about it at the end of the season for sure.
88:11And speaking of the Chargers, Chris, I mean, what the hell is wrong with the Chargers?
88:16Is this – is it McDaniel? Is it the offensive line?
88:20Is it Herbert? You know, we kind of – we talked about it a little bit earlier.
88:26But what do you see as a problem? The offensive line isn't as good as I thought it was going to be.
88:34I thought they were – you know, with them getting some guys back this year off injury, all the struggling, there's no lanes.
88:42Maybe people are right when they say that the run scheme that McDaniels brought in doesn't fit Omari and Hampton and fits Keaton Mitchell better.
88:51However, I'm a big Omari and Hampton owner, and I'm very, very worried.
88:56I think that I'm going to be pretty wrong on him being a late first-round pick smash at running back.
89:03Week one was promising. Since then, the offense and him have been discouraging.
89:07Herbert has no touch on his passes, doesn't have the time behind the line.
89:12Quinton Johnston is a sieve, and, you know, they don't have much.
89:17They lost their tight end room. Arande Gatson, I don't know what happened to this guy.
89:22He's a zero. And it's really just, you know, if you're a Ladd McConkie owner for the rest of this season, in
89:30this offense, you're just hoping that he's doing it on volume, and they're playing from behind.
89:36And Ladd McConkie is going to be a guy that sees 10 targets a week and puts together some good numbers.
89:43So the offense in a whole, I really had high hopes for.
89:47I know a lot of us did. But three weeks in, it's all arrows pointing down, and it looks like a disaster.
89:55And like we said earlier, the schedule just is brutal now.
89:59You know, the first three weeks were great schedule-wise, and they bombed then.
90:04And now the schedule gets really tough, and we're hoping for a turnaround in all aspects of it.
90:10So abort mission is my game plan. Yeah, I'm going to just hope this line works out.
90:16It's always darkest before the dawn because, you know, there's really no hope.
90:21Oh, look, Seattle, I'm pretty much benching everybody. Maybe like, well, I don't know if I have to.
90:27But, yeah, it's ugly. But I think it has to get better at some point.
90:32There's too much talent on this offense. Joe Ault is a major concern because I consider him to be very good.
90:40But he doesn't look very good the last couple weeks.
90:43Yeah. Are we concerned about Mitchell playing the same amount of snaps as Hampton?
90:48So, Nelson, here's the thing. Yeah, I mean, when you go into this year, at least your mind frame is the Chargers
90:56are going to be one of the best teams, one of the best offense, scoring a lot of points, which means when
91:04you think it out, you know, second half charges up 10, 14, 17 points, more carries for Hampton, you know, on and on.
91:12And you don't have to worry about a Keaton Mitchell, you know, killing the clock out or getting all those, you know, eight to 10 extra carries.
91:22Now the whole narrative is switched. And now they're playing from behind most games.
91:26That's when you need a Keaton Mitchell more than an Amari and Hampton.
91:31So, you know, the arrow is pointing up for Keaton Mitchell in this offense.
91:36He'd be the one guy that I think you can now take from your bench and maybe slip him in as your RB2 if you're a little desperate.
91:46My big concern after three weeks with Hampton, and I do like Hampton a lot, is that he only has three targets after three weeks.
91:55And that was something that was becoming, especially late in the season last year, he was becoming that guy.
92:02But again, I just, I got to believe, you know, I think we're in for another rough week, but I got to
92:09believe this is just too much talent there and it gets better.
92:14Yeah, I would agree with that. But I think it's got to get better than what it's been so far.
92:21It's just tough. Mike McDaniel might not be the genius that we thought he was, though, because Chris was earlier talking about,
92:28hey, all you got to do is follow the offensive geniuses.
92:32And for the most part, that's worked out. But this is that one glaring exception where it has not worked out very well at all.
92:41So hopefully they can get things turned around. Last team, the Broncos, started off real slow weeks one and two.
92:48And then for about the first, you know, at least the first half on Sunday night before they started turning it on a little bit.
92:57And finally getting their offense moving. You guys concerned about the Broncos offense?
93:02Is this going to come together or no? I think you've got a new offensive coordinator that obviously is talented because Peyton
93:10didn't want to let him go and gave up the play calling to keep him.
93:15I think it's I'm going to I'm going to chalk it up to there's too much talent on this team.
93:22The offensive line is very good. So that's not necessarily a problem.
93:26I think it's too much talent for this team to fail.
93:30So if Davis Webb doesn't get it into a rhythm, I could see at some point Peyton just taking over the play calling.
93:38So although it hasn't been ideal to start the season, I'm seeing glimpses that I think the offense is going to be OK.
93:46It's one of my offenses that I'm least worried about.
93:50So I mean, I look at it as in the running back position.
93:55I have very little hope on Dobbins. I think Coleman's eventually the guy when he's getting he's getting cut Wednesday.
94:02It's the guy. Dobbins is getting cut. Some people caught him last week and I was like, whoa, like you don't see,
94:09you know, a player like that get caught. Not that he's like anything.
94:14But but you see something in the bright side.
94:17If he didn't get popped in that game, he was looking like he's the only fantasy relevant running back that you can
94:25start with some type of confidence because he's going to catch passes.
94:29But when you look at Dobbins and I've got I've got some Dobbins shares.
94:34I do too. Like you look at it. He doesn't catch passes.
94:38OK. He gets a few carries. Doesn't look all that great while he's getting it.
94:44So I don't see his role changing at all.
94:47So when I look at it and I say, OK, I'm going to drop Dobbins, not even keep him on the bench.
94:55Why is that? It's because he's already in the role that you that you want.
95:00Like when you're picking up like a high end handcuffed running back, it's because of the what if.
95:06What what if he gets an opportunity? What's it going to look like?
95:11Is he going to be able to produce? Dobbins has shown me already that he's in that role and it doesn't look good to me.
95:20So like to me. I'm surprised you're dropping him, though, Nelson.
95:24I mean, I understand all the points of dropping him.
95:27But with the way the landscape of running backs is, I mean, would you rather have like a, you know, Claiborne or
95:35Tyrone Tracy as your RB six or seven at the end of your bench instead of a guy that, you know, is
95:43in a starting lineup and a good offense? He's not doing much.
95:47He doesn't look good. I agree on all those points.
95:51Add in the fact that Jonah Coleman surprisingly went to IR and it's just a two man backfield.
95:57So I mean, I can't do it just on the fact that look, these offenses look terrible, except for the two second halves of the past two weeks.
96:07They've looked terrible first half of the last two weeks and they got a lot of help for the refs.
96:14I mean, it's like Coleman Harvey. Yeah, I want them.
96:18Waddle. It's going to have his games. I mean, I am very bullish on.
96:23I think they need to throw the Baltimore's Pat Bryant.
96:26I think Bo Nix is the typical sucks in real life, but it's good for fantasy quarterback.
96:32He's not good. He does suck in real life.
96:35Real quick. Jonah Coleman was dropped in a couple of my prime times two weeks ago, and I thought he was a huge ad last Wednesday.
96:44And somebody won him $464. And I was the runner up at like four and change because I was trying to get some running back help.
96:54So dodge that bullet, guys. But man, how cruel of a fantasy game is it that the Jonah Coleman owners that thought
97:01they were getting a big ad the next day, he gets put on IR.
97:06So that was a tough one. I still think I want Jonah Coleman, though.
97:11I think he's going to be. Yeah, I mean, listen, you're going to have to wait, though, until like November now, though, Matt.
97:20That's sort of, you know. Four weeks? I mean, that does suck.
97:24Yeah, there's some situations out there that if you're needing an RB2 on your team and you need to get some type
97:32of production and you've got all these injured guys or guys that are just not getting it done, like Dobbins, Marshawn Lloyd.
97:39What a hoax that was, though, guys. I have to go back to Lloyd, but oh, my God, were we all excited
97:47about getting Lloyd and I have him in the 100K Legacy League and I thought I had the steel pick of the draft and like, oh, my God.
97:57It makes sense. Like it made sense. I know a lot.
98:01I know a lot of people now in hindsight can can say, ha ha, like Marshawn Lloyd is who he is.
98:08You guys fell for it or whatever. But like at the end of the day, with Jacobs going on the exempt list, Lloyd is a talented player.
98:18He can catch the ball out of the backfield.
98:21They had a void. It made sense to me of taking the gamble and drafting and seeing what we get out of it.
98:29And I think part of it, too, is that the offensive line is banged up for the Packers and they just so they can't run the ball.
98:39I think that's just that's part of it also.
98:42What's the line? The greatest trick the devil ever played.
98:46Terrible, terrible. There's been a lot of them. People right down the line.
98:50100%. Every year. All right. Anything else, guys? We've been at it for an hour and a half here.
