Caleb Williams

NegativeUsage0:00

The source suggests that Caleb Williams' playstyle of creating plays and looking for whoever is open may prevent the Bears' offense from being as hyper-concentrated as fantasy managers hoped, potentially hurting the value of top targets. This approach is compared to Josh Allen, who similarly buys time to find the open man rather than relying on set play designs.

D'Andre Swift

NegativeMatchup2:08

The source has sobered expectations for D'Andre Swift against the Vikings, noting he failed to finish as a top-24 running back in either matchup last year, recording 20 touches for 65 yards and 21 touches for 90 yards respectively.

Josh Allen

NegativeUsage0:15

The source uses Josh Allen as a comparison for Caleb Williams, noting that Allen's tendency to buy time and find whoever is open—such as Josh Palmer—is a style that spreads the ball around rather than focusing on specific targets.

0:00It did make me think about kind of
0:01Caleb's style, which is to create plays,
0:04and that that may ultimately like not
0:07lend itself to a hyper-concentrated
0:09offense. Because if you're just kind of
0:11looking down to see who's open, like
0:13that could be anyone on the field, you
0:15know? Um kind of like how Josh Allen
0:17last night, like he's finding Josh
0:18Palmer, cuz Josh Palmer's wide open,
0:21completely uncovered. Like that wasn't a
0:23play probably to Josh Allen or to Joshua
0:26Palmer. Josh Allen's like buying time,
0:28looks around, boom. You know, throw it
0:29to the open guy. So
0:31I think it is possible that this offense
0:33isn't as concentrated as as we were
0:35hoping and you know, we were drafting
0:37Burden and Loveland in the fourth round.
0:39>> Yeah, absolutely. I think they showed
0:40it. And and cuz again, I think the most
0:42under-appreciated part of the off-season
0:44that for gamers, cuz these guys are
0:45exciting, right? Like they're exciting
0:47young players in an offense with an
0:49offensive play-caller and a quarterback
0:50ascending that to not be like there's
0:52there's reasons to be excited, but the
0:53most overlooked part was still that like
0:56dude, this like they will run the
0:57out of the ball. Like
0:59>> That's also true. Yeah.
1:01>> And that that we saw that last week.
1:03Like you know, they will they will run
1:05the football. I'm curious to see if
1:07they're able to play that style this
1:08week. I don't believe they will be. I
1:09mean, we saw them play the Vikings twice
1:12last year and in the two match-ups that
1:14they played,
1:15uh the backfield had like very limited
1:17production. And that's what you know,
1:19Brian Flores does anyways. Like he makes
1:21sure his running backs have to block.
1:23He's always going to make sure his
1:24running backs have to know their
1:25assignments and he's going to beat the
1:26out of them with blitzes.
1:28Uh but Swift was not in the top 24
1:31running backs in either game last year.
1:34Um that they played. Say 20 touches, 65
1:37yards. 21 touches, 90 yards. So if you
1:39get in the box with that kind of game,
1:40you're fine. But uh and most people are
1:42starting him, but I have definitely
1:44sobered my expectations for him in this
1:45match-up.
