Blake Corum
PositiveSleeper0:00
The source identifies Blake Corum as a premier handcuff candidate; while currently a 'random spike week guy' and a poor redraft flex option, his value would skyrocket to a top-10 or top-5 weekly running back if Kyren Williams were to miss time, given the high-efficiency nature of the Sean McVay offense.

NegativeUsage0:26
Kyren Williams serves as the primary back in a Sean McVay offense that the source describes as 'fantasy gold' for running backs; his potential absence is the key catalyst that would elevate Blake Corum into a top-tier fantasy starter.

0:00Let's talk about Blake Corum though. Is
0:01he the best handcuff in fantasy?
0:04>> Blake Corum, I think he's a really,
0:06really good rusher last [music] year.
0:07The ram success rate was like one of the
0:09best all time running the ball. We're
0:11kind of drafting him at the baseline
0:13where he's a random spike week guy. I
0:15don't think you're really going to trust
0:17him in redrafting. He'd be a pretty bad
0:18redraft flex option. But, as the season
0:21progresses, things could change. What if
0:23it's 50/50? And I think at that point,
0:25then you would be able to throw him into
0:26your flex and, you know, if Kyren goes
0:29down, I mean, we'd be ranking
0:31Blake Corum inside the top 10, I think,
0:32pretty comfortably as long as the
0:33offense is the same.
0:35>> Yeah, I mean, maybe maybe even top five
0:38in some weeks if they were by
0:39themselves. So, like the McVay offense
0:42has just been fantasy gold for running
0:45backs. And And Corum [music] last year
0:47had 750 rushing yards, had six rushing
0:50touchdowns. I mean, getting to the 900
0:53rushing yards and nine touchdowns is not
0:55like a massive leap of faith if we see
0:58that [music] usage over the second half
0:59of last year sort of continue.
1:01I think another variable for for the
1:03Rams running backs is this defense could
1:06just be lights out. The game flow could
1:08be a lot more run heavy in the second
1:10half. And man, if Kyren went down or
1:12even missed a extended a period of time,
1:14give us four games of Blake Corum during
1:17the fantasy playoffs. I mean, the guy
1:19could light it on fire. Would just be
1:20unbelievable stuff.
