0:40Take two everyone. Top 10 fantasy football takeaways of week five of the fantasy football season. I'm Theo Ginger right here at Rotoire. The the power the
0:51power of uh live of live YouTube content here. I started out talking uh muted.
0:57Thank you to the chat that that didn't go very long. Started late again. San Francisco Seattle game. Everything we wanted. Everything we wanted from that
1:06game in terms of a competitive game. A really, really good NFL football game.
1:12San Francisco wins 32-29.
1:145-0. 49ers are 5-0. They just go into Seattle. They beat the They beat the uh defending Super Bowl champions, Seattle Seahawks. Seattle's going to be really
1:23disappointed by the way that game ended.
1:26Talking about Brock Party, Brock Party survives the gauntlet. So, if you're a Brock Py manager, obviously weeks one through three were a lot better for you
1:36than these last two weeks, but Pertie gets easier schedules coming up where you get Denver, you get Seattle, you sort of get by here. Um, you know,
1:45Pertie this past game loses Debo Samuel.
1:49He's had his lowest two scoring outputs over the last two weeks of the season, but he did have two passing touchdowns
1:56in each game. So, it's not like it was total disaster, but we want to get back to what we were seeing against teams
2:02like Miami, teams like Arizona. And I think Pertie's going to get have a chance to do that. He's got Washington in week six and then he's got Atlanta in
2:10week seven. Atlanta's a runfunnel right now. So, I'm recording this again before Sunday night, but a runfunnel. They're a runfunnel. Um, and it's a chance for Pie
2:21to put up smash weeks. Good stuff for San Francisco, man. Mike Evans. Mike Evans, absolute beast. Absolute beast.
2:30Mike Evans had his best game uh since he's came to San Francisco. Just looked awesome. Uh, so many big moments for him
2:37in this game. Seven catches, 113 yards, and a touchdown on 10 targets. Awesome stuff from Mike Evans. Then we also had
2:45the Jackson Smith and Jigba roller coaster where the it was like if you're watching this game they showed his ankle all taped up like heavily taped up ankle
2:56and then within a minute of showing the ankle JSN has a touchdown catch. Ends up with five catches for 102 yards and a
3:05touchdown. A big sigh of relief. Like a complete emotional roller coaster. Uh really really a big emotional roller coaster. Uh the the chat is here. Um
3:15really really appreciate the live chats here every single Sunday. Down bad with Omar and Hampton. I might drop him. Oh my gosh, Omar and Hampton, things are
3:23things are really bad in LA. Could we see uh Justin Herbert this off seasonason rescued by Jeremiah Smith?
3:30Can LA have a run out and be the number one pick in the draft? Maybe Miami picks one, LA picks two. And then another
3:38subplot for you college football fans, Jim Harbaugh back to Michigan. Can we get that conversation started? I mean, it kind of makes sense. LA needs a
3:45change at this point. Really ugly stuff.
3:47Ugly, ugly stuff. Um, and yeah, somebody else mentioning in the chat started Trey Harris. Trey Harris. I had optimism for Trey Harris. Everything's broken in LA
3:57right now. Everything's broken.
4:00Continuing going through the games. I mean, I guess the wildest game, anytime you have a tie, it's wild. 2727 Giants Commanders. The Commanders
4:08completely had this game. They were up two touchdowns. let New York come back.
4:12There's a couple of huge fantasy implications here though. Number one implication, we talked about uh Brock Pury, how it's things will get right.
4:21Well, things will get right for Brock Pury against the Washington Commanders.
4:24That's a smash spot because everyone eats against Washington. The secondary is a joke and opposing quarterbacks and opposing receivers are all going to eat.
4:33Jameus Winston, 326 passing yards, three passing touchdowns. The story really is though, it's another consolidated target tree. And we love this for fantasy.
4:45Malik Neighbors, who we fully expected, 10 catches, 123 yards, touchdown, 19 targets. Malik Neighbors completely back. He's scored uh huge numbers now in
4:56back-to-back weeks with 20 plus 20 28 today and then he had like 22 or 23 last week. So completely back. Malik
5:04Neighbors completely back. a locked and loaded wide receiver one rest of the season. We're we're really seeing it.
5:10But I think the story is also Isaiah Likely. Isaiah Likely with 48 targets now, which is second among all tight ends behind only Trey McBride. Uh 11
5:21catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns for Isaiah Likely. Uh just unbelievable stuff. If you drafted Isaiah Likely, this is what you wanted. you wanted to
5:31see this sort of situation where he's not only thriving, but he's thriving alongside Malik Neighbors when Malik Neighbors had 19 targets. This is like
5:41we talk about it all all off seasonason here. When you follow my my reddraft content on Roto Wire, like people want
5:47to make tight end into this really complicated position and they you'll see these articles written that are like 20 pages on tight ends. Tight ends is a
5:56simple bet. You want tight ends who are number one or number two on their team in targets, period. You want to chase
6:04those situations. And if they're going to be the number three target or three targetish, you want them to be ballers like Sam Laaporta in amazing situations.
6:12So that's like Sam Laaporta is awesome.
6:15We'll talk about him in a moment, but uh Isaiah Likely just unbelievable stuff.
6:20Really, really, really good stuff from Likely. Great stuff from Neighbors. And then opposite side of the ball, Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels is back. We hear
6:28reports that there's a lot of people very fearful that the elbow gets reinjured, but Jaden Daniels is out there running. Nine rush attempts for
6:36103 yards and two touchdowns.
6:39You love seeing that sort of confidence from a player coming back from injury. A lot of it's out of necessity where Jaden
6:45Daniels, this is this is not a great offensive ecosystem for him by any means. Things will get a little better when Diggs is back, but it's and maybe
6:54when McLaren gets completely ramped up, but this is not a great offensive personnel supporting Jaden Daniels. But Jaden Daniels is Jaden Daniels. 199
7:03passing yards, 103 on the ground, two rushing touchdowns. You're feeling great if you have Jaden Daniels. You're worried every week because the guy might
7:11get reinjured, but he's back in your lineup, back to putting up big fantasy numbers. Um, really catastrophic though for Washington in this one. really
7:20really catastrophic. Um, Chicago Green Bay, we'll get to that one. A lot of people are are are tilting in the chat right now. A lot of us are
7:28tilting like in many ways like Tyler Shuck, some disappointments there.
7:33Jaylen Wadd disappointments. Um, getting talk about Christian Watson though, we're going to get to him and then somebody else saying, you know, Tyler
7:41Warren and Isaiah Likely on my team. I think when you're looking at that sort of situation, there's just based on where Isaiah Likely was drafted in
7:52non-tightend premium formats, you're going to see teams with Isaiah Likely and Tyler Warren or Isaiah Likely and Brock Bowers. And I think there's these
8:02vi very viable tight ends right now that are elite passcatching weapons. I mean, forget about McBride and Bowowers. Those those guys are are on a different
8:11planet. But you look at all the attrition in San Francisco. George KD, a quiet game for him today, but three straight great weeks before. You talk
8:20about Leaporta who's on an absolute heater right now. Uh Tyler Warren continues to be used on the as like a very very high target weapon. Uh putting
8:30up great numbers now in three out of the last four weeks. He had his best game of the season today. Nine targets for him.
8:37Seven catches, 83 yards for Warren. So, the tight end position, guys are starting to like present themselves. And that's not even counting Travis Kelce,
8:45who's been off to a really strong start.
8:46Jawan Johnson, who might get nuked when Jordan Tyson comes back, but Jawan Johnson uh has been viable. Obviously, some huge issues for New Orleans today
8:57and a very quiet game for Jawan Johnson.
8:58But if you had him, you got off to a pretty good start. So, tight end position, we're we're really monitoring, but Isaiah likely locked and locked and
9:06loaded. Talking about Jaylen Warren, we mentioned Tyler Warren in that game, but Jaylen Warren on the show with Jacob Gibbs. I talked about how there was all
9:16this talk about Dowel might come back and there's all these people sort of fading Warren. If you if you follow like
9:21big media, um big media, fantasy football, I guess we're pretty big. Um but there's bigger there's bigger fish out there in terms of reach, you know,
9:30big companies like uh the ones on on cable TV. Um, there's guys out there telling you, "You got to sell Jaylen
9:37Warren. You got to sell Jiren Jaylen Warren. Uh, things are all going to come to a close. This is not something that's
9:42sustainable."
9:43Is Aaron Rogers sort of a running back kingmaker? You saw it last year with Kenneth Gainwell, who's not a very talented player, but had all these huge
9:51spike weeks with Rogers. Jaylen Warren is a very talented player. There's a huge opportunity he's had without doubt, but he's run away with it immensely. And
10:01it's been Aaron Rogers is just feeding him, using him, and this has just been an unbelievable runout for Jaylen Warren. But Warren has always been a
10:10really talented player. Started out his career and was able to cut into Naji Harris. I mean, that was signal for us.
10:16There's been other years where he's had just really, really great games and not this sort of consistency. But he had a
10:22careerhigh 36 plus PPR points. That's the most he's ever scored in a game.
10:27He's had 20 touches now or more in three consecutive weeks. Huge statline for him today. 15 carries uh 101 on the ground
10:38and he had six catches for 87 yards.
10:41Just got shot out of a cannon on that touchdown catch. Um that catch and run early in the game sort of set the tone.
10:47And then we got to talk about Aaron Rogers because Aaron Rogers now has three straight weeks with three touchdown passes. Rogers has been one of
10:55the better storylines. If you're a baseball manager and you were drafting teams with a lot of Aaron Rogers, you're feeling fantastic right now. Aaron
11:02Rogers, I think, should be picked up on the waiverwire in leagues where he's available, especially in six-point passing touchdown leagues. Rogers looks
11:10really good right now. Looks very comfortable. Pat Frymouth, two touchdown catches. Uh, couple of positives here in the passing game. Uh, Jeremy Bernard, a
11:19couple of nice moments. Nothing from Roman Wilson this game. Um, but Muth looked good. But Aaron Rogers just is is running this offense very, very well.
11:29And the Steelers look, they look solid on offense. And a lot of it is Jaylen Warren, though. I made this comment to
11:35Jacob Gibbs on our on our bold predictions hottakes shows that I thought Jaylen Warren would be a top 15 running back rest of season. I think I
11:43undersold the guy. He looks fantastic. I think this looks like the RB1 season for Jaylen Warren. He's already off to a
11:50fantastic start with it, but the way he's playing, even when Rico Dattle comes back, if he just holds on to this
11:57uh work in the passing game, Aaron Rogers basically giving him the Kenneth Gainwell treatment and it's really easy to earn additional targets when you can
12:05house call it uh with your explosiveness from like long downs and distances. Like the guy Jill Warren just looks locked in. Um, another mention on Spencer
12:14Schrader. A lot of you who have followed my content, we we got on Spencer Schrader as a a kicker to pick up early
12:20in the year and he continues to just cook 20 plus points for him this year and he's 16 of 16 on field goals.
12:27There's some leagues I bet Spencer Schrader is still available. I don't usually cover kickers in my waiverwire column over at rotoire.com. You want
12:35access to that, um, use the code theo40.
12:38Uh, you get access to all my articles, all my rankings, all that good stuff.
12:41But I don't usually cover kickers. I cover kickers here on this show. um YouTube and the podcast, but Schrader we've talked about a lot. I mean, just
12:49awesome stuff from him. That's an edge pickup if you're able to pick him up off the waiverwire.
12:55Continuing to look at all the games that mattered from today. The Cincinnati Bengals win 3124 over the Miami Dolphins. Jamar Chase uh could have been
13:05a bigger game. Could have been an even bigger one. Joe Burrow was really good.
13:09Uh continues to put up really good fantasy numbers here spreading the ball around. had four touchdown passes. He's done this 10 times. Joe Burrow puts up
13:18these huge passing touchdown games uh multiple times over in his career. Jamar Chase catches a touchdown. Uh is able to avoid the concussion protocol. Like huge
13:27stuff for for Jamar Chase managers.
13:30Dante Meyer's managers were down bad.
13:32People picked him up thinking they were going to get to use him again this week.
13:35Um, but it was Jamar Chase and Jamar Chase Burrow missed him on a long touchdown, but he did connect with him
13:41on another. Uh, Chase very solid stuff.
13:44I mean, not a spectacular game. A quiet 19.7 PPR points. He has 10 targets, though. Six catches for 77 yards and a
13:52touchdown. Joe Burrow really is the story. And then the story on the other side of the ball, Miami's competitive um, and they're really leaning into Olly
14:01Gordon. Olli Gordon is looking like a terrific, terrific pickup off of the waiver wire where Gordon uh now has had three straight weeks with 14 or more
14:12points scored. He had 88 rushing yards and a touchdown. No work in the passing game today, but Gordon's a locked and
14:20loaded RB2. 14 and a half points, 18 points, 14.8 points. If we're ranking guys off the waiverwire, Gordon makes our all waverwire team right now at the
14:31running back position for sure. Um Miami, they'll continue to lose games, but it's been more competitive lately.
14:38They lose by a touchdown today.
14:41One two back fields that were two running backs basically that are going to get elevated after this week. We're keeping an eye on the Trayvon Henderson
14:51injury. He exited with an ankle injury.
14:54So, we're going to elevate Raandre Stevenson, who had a really solid statline counting stats-wise today. Um, and we're also going to keep an eye on
15:02Woody Marks. Woody Marks had the the Texans rolled Tennessee today, but the story is David Montgomery leaves the game, groin injury, second quarter, and
15:13Woody Marks ends up with 75 total yards.
15:16Not a huge scoring output, but I think if Montgomery misses time, Woody Marks would be an interesting player. would be on that low-end RB2, high-end RB3 flex
15:25line. One other running back to mention, Aaron Jones. I mean, heroic heroic performances from from Aaron Jones this year in terms of the volume he's been
15:37able to sustain. He gets a season high 25 carries, a season high 113 rushing yards, gets a rushing score, also has
15:47three catches, 18.7 points, and he also like left the game. It looked like Aaron Jones was going to be hurt. It was some
15:57sort of a league issue. Comes back in the game and then just puts the team on his back. Minnesota 5-0 this year. Go
16:04into New Orleans, get the win. Justin Jefferson was solid. Um, a no Jordan Addison today. Jefferson ends up putting up a solid a solid output, 18.8 points,
16:15uh, six catches, 79 yards, and a touchdown. But the story really has been Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones not only putting up numbers, but Aaron Jones uh,
16:24taking on this sort of volume. It's like a heroic runout for Aaron Jones managers. This is one where I do think
16:30Jones takes a backseat. Not full backseat. I think he can still lead the backfield, but certainly the volume will go down when Jordan Mason returns off of
16:39the IR. But Aaron Jones has done enough um with his performance that he's going to get a lot until the wheels fall off
16:46of Aaron Jones. Um he's he's really going to get a a a decent workload. I think he's a low-end RB2 when Mason
16:54comes back and you're just going to continue to use him as long as you can.
16:57Right now, Minnesota continues to have just a lights out defense. The defense from Minnesota puts them in a position to win every single week. Really strong
17:06stuff from Brian Flores. Really, really strong stuff from Flores. I mean, nothing nothing to say. You mean they have personnel changes on defense and
17:15they're still able to win all of these games. Talking about that New England game though, I mentioned Trayvon Henderson, but I'm burying the lead. I
17:23want to apologize for for my moments of panic with Drake May from earlier in the year when you followed this show and my
17:30other shows. I mean, Drake May, we were tilting. We were tilting with Drake May in this offense. First three weeks of
17:36the year, ugly stuff, but the last two weeks from Drake May have just been sensational.
17:42May today was unbelievable. 374 passing yards, four touchdown passes, and then he has this nasty rushing touchdown where it's worth it's worth taking a
17:54look. It wasn't a long one, but he put defenders on skates. May over the last two weeks has just been awesome. Um, and
18:02he's been doing it with this sort of beat up offense where we have no idea when AJ Brown comes back. M. Holland's
18:09missed today. He had a calf injury, but we've got seven touchdown passes for Drake May over the last two weeks. Huge
18:18passing yardage total today. And he also gives you the rushing score. This is the most fantasy points that Drake May has
18:26ever scored. Uh this is nearly 40 points in most formats here. Unbelievable stuff from him. Back and this is back-to-back games with three passing touchdowns.
18:37This is the first time he's ever done that. So last year with his MVP- like performance, he never had back-to-back three passing touchdown games. So huge
18:46stuff from Drake May. We're feeling great. And I want to apologize for ever doubting you, Drake May. You look fantastic. Um and the Patriots are back.
18:54They're three and two. They've got a lot of juice right now. And when we're looking at May, like what the upcoming
18:59schedule looks like, they've got the Jets at home. Jets defense playing over their heads. They they're really putting in heroic performances, but got to like
19:07New England's chances there to put up another number. Then they go to Chicago in week seven and we've got Jordan Love
19:14just exposed that secondary. Then week eight is in Miami. So you've got a chance there for three straight weeks of putting up big numbers for May. And then
19:24two fun ones in week nine and week 10 before the buy. Green Bay in New England and then at Detroit. So I'm looking at
19:31this New England schedule and I'm like there's going to be some really highscoring opportunities for May to put up these sort of spike weeks. Big stuff
19:38from Drake May. We mentioned the Trayvon Henderson or Stevenson. We'll boost Stevenson if Henderson misses time. Um and then we got to talk about Vegas on
19:46the other side of the ball. Brock Brock Bowers, we got to call him out every week because the guy just balls. Uh,
19:52another really strong performance from Brock Bowers since he's come back. I mean, we knew it. I mean, we we knew this all off seasonason. Anybody sort of
19:59consuming my shows know this is like my guy this off seasonason. And I know a lot of people um who are frequent in the
20:05chat. You guys all have your Bowowers bags packed. But he gets eight catches, 110 yards, and a touchdown. Another double- digit target week for Brock
20:12Bowers. Phenomenal stuff. 23 points.
20:15Bowowers is just so so so locked in right now. 27 points. 20 points. 23 points. Th you're getting the full-on JSN experience with him in this Clint
20:25Kubak offense. One note though, this is two straight losses for Vegas. So, the idea of the moral victory last week because they kept it close with Kansas
20:34City, that ship sailed today. New England put it on them. Just completely beat down.
20:40Completely beat down. Fernando Mendoza makes his debut. Comes in the game.
20:44We're going to keep a Fernando Mendoza watch. And I talked about this on the Waverwire show and the streamer show and
20:49the sleeper show. Mendoza if you're stash you can stash Mendoza because we know it's a functional offense and now there's this window where maybe Mendoza
20:59eventually makes his first start. If we try to pick it here again the sky is not falling. This is a professional team and
21:07a professional coaching staff and they're going to say we're three and two and we got two straight home games. We got to take one of these next two home
21:14games and then we're sort of back on Broadway. We're playing with house money so to speak. They are from Vegas. got
21:20Buffalo in week six and you got Rams in week seven. Those are going to be tough tough tough matchups. Then they're in
21:26New York uh in week eight and then San Francisco uh in in week nine. So I'm not sure when they would go with Mendoza. I
21:35imagine maybe that week 10 game against Seattle. You're going to give Kirk Cousins this veterans difference a chance to win two home games and then
21:43that game on the road in New York to sort of save his job. San Francisco on the road seems like a tough one for
21:49Mendoza to make his debut. Maybe week nine, week 10. I could be off on this one, but we want to we want to roster
21:55Mendoza if we have quarterback issues and considering he could potentially get the second half of the year. We'll talk about him on the Waverwire show. Look
22:03for that tomorrow, maybe tomorrow night early. It should uh debut.
22:08Looking at Green Bay though, the utter disrespect from all the books making Chicago uh the the favorite. Maybe this was a little extra motivation for Laflur
22:17and the Packers. Completely put it on the Bears. Tyson Begent was exposed in this one. He got pulled for Case Keenum.
22:25Uh but the Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love are absolutely cooking. Jordan Love has 367 passing yards, two touchdown passes. Um big big scoring output for
22:37him. He had four completions that went for 40 plus. That's like Brett Favre type stuff from him. Um, massive stuff from Jordan Love in this passing
22:46offense. Marshon Lloyd, two touchdowns.
22:48I mean, this was sort of a a little bit of a bailout. He's been a huge bust um, from where we took him in like the
22:53seventh, eighth round, but nice little bailout play if you had to use him today. But the story of today, we could
23:00talk Golden had a big catch. Kuckercraft had a big catch, but it's Christian Watson. And Christian Watson is one of the league winners, especially at the
23:09wide receiver position on the year now.
23:12Christian Watson is averaging, let's pull this up, updated F, for the season.
23:18It was 23 points, I believe. Christian Watson is up to, excuse me, I misspoke, 21.9 points per game. Ridiculous stuff
23:28from Watson. He gets his sixth touchdown catch today. He is second among all wide receivers besides behind only Jackson
23:38Smith and Jigba who has seven. So Christian Watson is just putting up like league winning numbers from where you drafted him. He has a six catch 143 yard
23:49two touchdown catch performance and this is his second six 140 and two game week one you saw this and he basically does
23:58the same statline in week five.
24:00Disgusting stuff from Christian Watson.
24:03We feel fantastic about Jordan Love.
24:05Completely exposed the Chicago secondary. I I overrated the Chicago Bears defense. I'll give a shout out to Jacob Gibbs and Jim Coventry, two guys
24:14who I do shows with every week. Um Jim was a little apprehensive about this Chicago Bears defense. Thought they couldn't keep it up. Jacob Gibbs also
24:22had the same reaction. The Bears were lights out for three straight weeks defensively. Exposed this week against Green Bay. Green Bay also shuts them
24:29down. DeAndre Swift gets a touchdown.
24:31That's really about it for the positivity for Chicago. But, uh, really terrific stuff when it comes to Christian Watson.
24:40The Green Bay passing offense. This, they're here to stay, guys. I mean, we've talked about this. This is not something that's going to disappear.
24:48You have to feel really good if you have Jordan Love. Matt Lafleur is one of the league's best play callers, and I think
24:55he's sort of figured things out. Now, you look at Green Bay and you say, I've got guys like Christian Watson. I've got
25:01guys like Matthew Golden, Tucker Craft, Jordan Love. The next two weeks, the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit Lions, then
25:11week eight, the high-flying Carolina Panthers. Three straight weeks here for Green Bay to have near shootoutlike performances. And Dallas, I mean,
25:22destroyed all these suicide pools. I mean, all of these Survivor contests, Dallas blew it up on Thursday night. You go into Thursday, you get Dallas more
25:31than a touchdown favorite. You're you say to yourself, "This is the biggest favorite Dallas could possibly be.
25:36They're at home. They're north of a touchdown. I'm going to use them in the Survivor contest." Completely blown up.
25:42Jaylen Daniels and the Tampa Bay Bucks go into Dallas, get the win. The positive for Dallas, you end up with this huge George Pickins game. Nine
25:52catches, 130 yards, and a touchdown on 13 targets.
25:56CD Lamb quad injury, but it sounds like it's a quad bruise. I'm going to do an injuries up injury update podcast early
26:05this week. Look for it to drop on the podcast feed and on the YouTube feed.
26:08We're going to cover a bunch of these guys, but CD Lamb, the latest news, quad bruise. So, you see George Pickkins with
26:15a season high 28 PPR points. Felt like last season Pickkins looked awesome.
26:20Hopefully, this is something that sort of wakes things up. He had a 15-pointer.
26:23Um, and this now this 28 pointer. So, we're feeling great about Pickkins right now. And if you're uh have CD Lamb, it's
26:30sort of a a sigh of relief. A sigh of relief. Um the other side of the ball though, another guy who I was tilting
26:39about. I talked about it last week a bunch. I talked about considering trading him um on the trade show, Bucky Irving. Last week, we had Kenneth
26:49Gainwell and Shawn Tucker both getting touchdowns. We had Jaylen Daniels taking away rushing yards himself and we felt really scared about things with Bucky
26:59Irving. We had a great matchup coming with Dallas and I should have just relaxed a little bit, but Bucky Irving I
27:06had in some lineups this week and I was like not feeling fantastic. I knew I'd get a decent number because it's Dallas,
27:12but I wasn't thinking there was no no part of me thought that I was going to get a 30 burger from Bucky Irving on
27:19Thursday night. And Bucky Irving looked awesome. This was an awesome performance from him. This was a careerhigh in terms of rushing yards for Bucky Irving. He
27:30has a careerhigh rushing yards. Gets 165 rushing yards.
27:36Incredible stuff. 21 carries for a buck 65 and a touchdown. Also catches another touchdown. 31 a half uh points scored.
27:46You also had a Mecha Ibuka getting a touchdown on a rush attempt. Zack Robinson has had a ton of heat. Um, but
27:52he's called a good game. Obviously, we could talk about the the field goal at the end of the game. Should they have
27:57kicked the field goal, all that, but Bucks win, they get the win on the road in Dallas and Bucky Irving puts up an
28:03incredible incredible performance. And anybody sort of rostering Bucky Irving, what an emotional roller coaster. You go from Sunday to Thursday, you feel
28:13disgusting on Sunday and you feel so amazing on Thursday. One of the low-key best things in fantasy football. There's nothing better than when you have a guy
28:25who plays on a Thursday and puts up a huge number. You walk around feeling like King Kong on Fridays, Saturdays, and then heading into Sunday morning to
28:34get that sort of lead. And when you have Bucky Irving, that's exactly how you felt. So, George Pickkins, Bucky Irving, the big storyline from Thursday night.
28:43Another Thursday night providing us some fantasy football fun. Uh, we've had a nice little run out of Thursday night games. Very few uh disappointments on
28:52Thursday night. Obviously, CD Lamb week four looked like night and day versus week week uh five, but we'll be back with CD Lamb. I will cover these
29:02injuries earlier this week, but it sounds like a quad bruise for CD Lamb.
29:07We mentioned uh the the running back situation. Let's talk Parker Washington.
29:12Uh really a fortunate fortunate magical win for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Philly had this game. Philly completely had
29:21this game. Uh ends up Philly looked like they had the game at hand. Then you get the long kickoff return. A second gets
29:30put on the clock and you get the Cam Little 57 yard uh field goal to end it.
29:35So, you get 5.7 points out of Cam Little to end the game. Uh, real bounceback week from Parker Washington. Parker Washington ends up putting up just an
29:45awesome awesome performance.
29:48We were worried a little bit about Parker Washington. There was the Cincinnati game where it was nothing. He had two points scored. Then there was
29:56the New England game in week three where he was getting doubled and sort of bailed himself out with a touchdown catch. So 13 points in week three, but
30:04only three catches. Only one catch in week four against Cincinnati.
30:09But Parker Washington ends up getting this huge bounceback performance. Nine targets, six catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns. You're feeling really,
30:19really good about Parker Washington. The problem with the Jacksonville Jaguars though for fantasy football purposes, it's the passing volume and this defense
30:30has just been so good that multiple weeks you didn't have any sort of passing volume. But the game flow here, we finally got to see Trevor Lawrence in
30:40a game where he had a ton of pass opportunities. He had 39 passing attempts, which was 10 more than in any
30:48week prior. So ends up with 331 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and he also gives you 25 rushing yards. So we've now seen Jacksonville in this sort
30:59of a situation.
31:00Next week, Jacksonville gets another game uh in in Europe against the Houston Texans. We'll see how that one goes. But Jacksonville was very very fortunate to
31:12get this win. But hey, in the NFL, these teams that win a ton of games, things seem to bounce their way. And this was
31:19one of the most fortunate wins of the year. Huge kickoff return followed up by a 57yder.
31:25So really interesting stuff there. Um and somebody in the chat, shout out to to Kevin on the YouTube feed. Parker Neighbors and Christian Watson are your
31:34wide receivers. Feeling great about things right now. Uh Kevin, I got I got a couple of those guys. Not collectively on the same one. Uh getting a getting a
31:42thank you in the chat for the content from from also from Kevin. Um, if you're enjoying watching this on YouTube on

31:54podcast feed, give us a fivestar review on Apple or Spotify. It doesn't cost you anything. Helps us out a lot. Doing some
32:01huge things over at Rotoire. Make sure you're checking us out. We're going to have a couple of really big announcements this week about some cool
32:07content uh coming your way. A quick mention on basketball. Um, NBA's right around the corner. If you're a Rotoire sub, you get access to all of our NBA
32:16content. Um, I'm a huge Knicks fan.
32:18Anybody who's covered my content knows that. I talk about the Knicks a lot. Um, not going to talk about them on this
32:24show, but they're going to win a lot of games. We're winning the Eastern Conference and maybe going to run it back, but uh, looking forward to Roto
32:30Wire covering not only the Knicks, but everyone else. If you're a sub, you get NBA. So, that's amazing thing about your
32:35Roto Wire subscription. You get it for football, you get other sports, too. And our NBA content is elite. Um, that's it.
32:41And people do not like the basketball talk in the chat. I'm done. I'm off. I'm not saying it anymore. Quick mention on
32:47the Detroit Lions Cardinals game. I mean, unbelievable stuff there. Arizona was supposed to have a chance to win this game. This was a game where we were
32:56like, "Okay, home game for Arizona, a chance for Arizona to get a big statement win, but uh Detroit wasn't having any part of it." Five sacks from
33:06their defense. But again, it's the story of of Detroit is always their offense.
33:10And we could save we'll save uh Jir Gibbs to the end. Let's talk a little Jared Goff. Methodical. Jared Goff is
33:19methodical. Gets four touchdowns in this one. Three passing touchdowns, no picks, also gets a rushing score. Awesome stuff from Jared Goff. He's QB3 on the week
33:29heading into Sunday Night Football.
33:30Tremendous stuff from Jared Goff. He's put up huge numbers this year. you know, you've seen a bunch of spike weeks from
33:36him, but it was two straight slow weeks and then this huge one. So, a lot of it's been the Jir Gibbs show, but Goff
33:43continues to play at a high level. Um, he's a locked and loaded low-end QB1 rest of the season with spike weeks like
33:50this, and you're going to get these home environments for him where he's going to put up huge numbers. You know, the
33:54splits over the years, but he had backtoback back-to-back away games. Then he's got Green Bay and Minnesota in weeks seven and weeks eight. So you got
34:03Lions on the buy next week and then you got these two NFC North games. Those these are going to define Detroit's
34:09season. So Detroit ends up with a really sort of a mixed bag here, but through the first five weeks of the year they're
34:18three and two on the season, winning record. Now they go into the by-week and they get two divisional opponents, Green Bay and Minnesota, and then they have an
34:26away game at at Miami. If they can go three and 0 in those, the trajectory of their team sort of changes. Five sacks
34:32today, a real positive. Can talk about the wide receivers if you want. It It was Jameson Williams catches a long touchdown in the second half. Um JMO
34:42ends up with only two catches on the on the on the day, but he gets two touchdowns. So really strong stuff from
34:48him. Quiet from Aman Raw. Sam Leaporta continues to cook. Five catches, 88 yards, and a touchdown. 19.8 points for Sam Leaporta. Bapora is just a locked
34:59and loaded top five tight end, if not top three tight end rest of the way. 22 points in week four, 19.8 in week five.
35:06He's awesome. But the story is Jir Gibbs. It's Jir Gibbs every week and we just don't talk about him a lot. Is it
35:13just me or was it sort of a quiet game for Gibbs for a while? Like it's a 37point game from him, but you don't
35:21like get all over the top hyped because you just sort of expect it from Gibbs.
35:25It's almost like we're we're getting like tainted from um from like having Gibbs on rosters or teams that are like manager managers just watching Gibbs and
35:36not sort of appreciating this level of excellence that we're seeing. It's one of the best starts we've ever seen at the running back position in the first
35:45five weeks played in the year. 37.7 points today against Arizona. He also gets 30 touches. So he's 25 for 151 on
35:56the ground, then five catches for 56 yards, gets two rushing scores, 37.7 points scored. He had 41 points in week
36:05three. He had 33 points in week one. Jir Gibbs, absolutely unbelievable. And there's teams out there, and I'm sure if you're watching this and you have a
36:14Gibbs team, there's a bunch of teams out there where things are not perfect. Your team is not like some perfectly built
36:22team, but you had the number one pick.
36:24You have Jir Gibbs. You didn't screw it up at the two-3 turn. You you drafted two guys there who were okay or or maybe
36:33way better than okay. Then maybe you hit on a guy at the four five turn. Maybe hit on both of those guys. that there's
36:40teams out there that are that are not perfect, but you have Jir Gibbs and you've done just enough with your the
36:45rest of your roster that you're in a chance to really really put up a huge one. And um I get a question in the
36:53chat, are you not afraid that they're overusing Gibbs? I don't know. I mean, I don't know. We haven't seen it. I think
36:59a lot of it's theoretical with Gibbs where we think we thought maybe when he was young they were using David Montgomery because Montgomery was good.
37:09Maybe it's because Montgomery um they wanted to mix him in to keep Gibbs fresh. Like all sorts of stuff. We know
37:17Dan Campbell loved Montgomery. We know Ben Johnson likes using two running backs. And then we always heard from Gibbs the the knock coming out of
37:25Alabama, which is kind of comical at this point, was he's gonna be Reggie Bush. This is a Reggie Bush-like player.
37:31He's going to catch a lot of balls. He's dynamic, but not a Bellcow.
37:36I don't know if if if Jir Gibbs ever subscribed to that. Can he handle this sort of volume? I think he can. We saw
37:43Christian McCaffrey last year with 400 or something crazy touches.
37:49You can't you can't see how guys are going to do and project them and say they can't do this until we actually see
37:55it. So, you're going to get a careerhigh in volume with Gibbs. Will they be a little more cautious with them with him?
38:02I don't know. But 30 touches today in a game they're blowing out and they got the foot on the gas. A lot of teams want
38:08to sort of get out of the building.
38:10Detroit was up a ton and they want to score more touchdowns. So, Dan Campbell's a sicko. this guy wants to put his foot on your throat and we love
38:19that for fantasy football. So, do we worry a little bit about him getting 30 touches? Um, not really because I think
38:25the guy's smart and he seems to avoid huge hits. We never really see Jir Gibbs taking massive, massive hits. So, I
38:33think he's handling it perfectly well.
38:35But if you have Jir Gibbs, congratulations on your money. I got Jir Gibbs on an NFC silver bullet team that's like top 10 right now and I'm
38:43like I think every day that I got that number one pick and took Jir Gibbs. But things could have gone pretty well if
38:48you picked uh Bejon at number two. We'll you know sort of follow up on the win rates at the end of the year but right
38:55now the win rates for number one team and number two teams are looking great.
39:00Shout out to the chat. Jamir Gibbs says he's going to try to get 32 touchdowns and break Leenian Tomlinson's record.
39:08Let's do it. We love this sort of thing for fantasy football. If you need points on Sunday and Monday, I hope you run
39:14pure. Stick with me all week long dropping shows that can help you win in fantasy football.
