A.J. Brown

PositiveValue9:05

Selected at pick 13 (team four) in wide receiver position; the source frames this as scooping up value in a running back-heavy draft environment.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveValue28:23

ADP collapsed from first round last year to sixth round in many 2026 drafts; talent and upside remain intact. If he builds chemistry with Trevor Lawrence, could produce a big year with long touchdown opportunities; positioned as a high-upside value pick with double-digit touchdown potential.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection20:20

Brock Bowers was drafted in round 2 and the source expresses strong conviction that he could finish as a 20 PPG player this year. The source states 'Bowers could be 20 points per game this year. I'm convinced of that,' indicating elite tight end upside and confidence in his ceiling.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeValue13:10

The source prefers James Cook over CeeDee Lamb in full PPR rankings, indicating Lamb is ranked below Cook in the source's personal rankings for full PPR formats.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue8:17

Described as 'really really interesting' running back option in the mid-round draft range; presented as an appealing alternative to other running backs being considered in round two.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue36:19

Drafted in the eighth round as a boring but valuable floor play; professional drafters consistently cash in on Godwin despite lack of excitement. The source projects 12.5 points per game and sees him as a reliable fifth wide receiver who helps navigate bye weeks and injuries, with potential upside similar to Stefan Diggs' 2025 season.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveProjection20:20

Colston Loveland was drafted in round 4 as a second tight end and the source expresses strong conviction about his upside, stating he could outscore Trey McBride. This suggests the source believes Loveland has better fantasy production potential than McBride, positioning him as a flex option with meaningful upside.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue33:33

Drafted at pick 73 despite ADP of 72, with some regret about timing but strong conviction in format ranking; source states he has May very highly ranked for this format and believes he will smash this year, indicating confidence in his upside despite not having correlation with a stacked receiver.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeValue40:46

Drafted in the seventh round after starting as a fifth-round projection, representing significant ADP decline and value opportunity; source believes he can reach touchdown upside in a very good Seahawks offense in a Kenneth Walker-type role, even with George Helani mixing in as a pass catcher; main downside risk is Charbanet's return; source is bullish on his explosiveness and touchdown potential, noting positive vibes from beat reporters at OTAs and early training camp.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection27:00

Projected as the RB1 for the 2026 season with strong conviction; ranked 101st overall; expected to deliver strong production as Detroit's lead back and positioned as a reliable workhorse in the offense.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeValue38:23

Presented as a priced-right alternative to Chris Godwin; positioned as a fade-Godwin option if Godwin suffers injuries or looks less explosive. McMillan is viewed as a relevant pass catcher in the Tampa Bay offense at a reasonable price point.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveValue13:10

The source ranks Cook ahead of Jalen Hurts and CeeDee Lamb in full PPR and is ahead of consensus on him. Cook went 8th overall in this draft, but the source would have taken him at 12th overall, suggesting he's undervalued at his actual ADP and represents strong value at the turn.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveBreakout25:42

Viewed as underrated at current ADP despite being explosive and electric; valued as a WR3 in balanced roster construction. Spike-week upside is particularly valuable in tournament formats (weeks 15-17), where a single explosive game can win an entire week. Production spiked significantly when Ben Campbell took over play-calling in Detroit last season, supporting confidence in the Lions' offensive system. Ranked higher than ADP in personal rankings and positioned as a strong bet on Detroit's offense for 2026.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveRole40:00

Drafted early as a foundational piece to build out the wide receiver room; selected as the fourth receiver in an early four-receiver stack strategy alongside Jefferson, Ibuka, and Jameson Williams, indicating the source views Reed as a core part of a receiver-heavy early draft approach.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeBreakout35:57

Described as the trendiest running back in 2026 with a boom-or-bust outcome profile; the source acknowledges the pick could look like a genius move or a regrettable decision, indicating high volatility and significant market hype around Brooks.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeValue7:27

Drafted at pick 12 in this NFFC championship draft as part of a balanced running back/wide receiver start.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveValue7:00

Drafted at pick 5 in this NFFC championship draft; the source prefers Harrison Jr. over Jaxon Smith-Njigba this year due to his consistency, describing him as 'super consistent' and liking 'the five hole' for building teams. Recent media appearance with Kay Adams discussed increased passing game involvement; Harrison Jr. indicated potential for 60+ catches this season. If he achieves 65 catches, the source calls him a 'smash pick' at pick 13 and suggests he could be a top-5 overall pick next year if he has that kind of production run with significant rushing touchdown upside.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeProjection12:25

Collins has averaged 17+ PPG in two of the last three years; the source is neutral on him but notes he could help a team if he stays healthy; going towards end of second round in this contest.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeValue28:23

Was a strong performer last year but current draft price is not attractive for 2026; expected to be more consistent than Brian Thomas Jr. but with less upside; solid pick around the 5-6 turn but pricing concerns limit appeal.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeValue35:20

Drafted ahead of ADP as part of a quarterback stacking strategy; the source made a non-optimal ADP decision because he felt Lawrence would not be available later during the quarterback run.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeValue23:15

Trey McBride is used as an archetype comparison for Tyler Warren's fantasy profile; Warren offers a similar arbitrage play (high production, TE upside) but at a significantly lower draft cost than McBride.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveProjection22:30

Tyler Warren is positioned as a tier-of-his-own tight end with realistic upside to finish as TE1 overall. He's the best bet to lead the Colts in catches and targets this year and offers a Trey McBride-like arbitrage play given his college production. However, offensive regression when Joe Rivers arrived in 2024 dampened his end-of-season numbers, similar to Jonathan Taylor's decline. At TE4 ADP, Warren represents strong value relative to McBride's draft cost.

0:02All right. If you're watching a high stakes draft at 2 PM Eastern time, I figure you're either really rich without a job or you're a loser at your desk at
0:10your cube and you're goofing off at work, right, Greg Ambroious?
0:13>> Yeah, like Lee Elia said, 85% of the people are working. The other effing 15% are here. Well, that's okay. We don't
0:21mind that. So, uh, Nelson, Theo, I'm glad you're working this instead of a real job. So, welcome aboard. All right, Theo, you've uh been you're over at
0:30Rotoire now uh doing a ton of content on this channel. So, we're going to draft today. Uh you are drafting from the 12
0:36spot.
0:37>> Yeah, I'm in the 12 spot. So, if anybody's unfamiliar with NFC, which means there's the third round reversal.
0:42So, I have three of the top 25 picks.
0:44So, I like drafting out of the 12.
0:46Nelson, do you like drafting out of the 12 this year?
0:49>> I do. I I like a top four pick uh or the back end.
0:54>> Yeah. And you also have access with the KDS system NFC has in there. So, it's like a weighted system where you can put
1:02in your preference. It's like another pretty awesome feature of NFC. And Greg Greg even gave us a an awesome uh promo
1:10code, too. If you want to join up and play against Nelson, Allan, and I in NFC FC drafts, you can use the code Theo uh
1:18and you're going to get a little bit of money coming back to you. Uh a great place to play. Nelson and I are going to
1:23be splitting a team in New York this year, but we're headtohead today, man.
1:26>> Nelson, [clears throat] you were picking, you said, from the four spot, right? So, >> yes.
1:31>> Yeah. See, Nelson's proud to say his draft slot. But Greg, we got to get rid of these boomer boards with no names on
1:36them.
1:37>> No, people want to join these live streams because they don't want everyone to check them out. But like I've said
1:41before, I mean, drafting now is going to be totally different from when you draft in New York or Las Vegas. I think Nelson
1:46and Theo will say the same thing. So, you can scout Nelson or Theo today, but it could change next week or the next
1:53day for crying out loud, right?
1:55>> Well, Nelson's made the the commitment.
1:56He's a content creator now, and he loves playing, right? Am I speaking for you, Nelson? Is this the right vibe I have
2:01here? You're more a content creator. Um, an equal to a player at this point?
2:07>> No, no, [laughter] no. I my wife would say the six figures coming out of our account uh every year
2:16to play fantasy football is uh it I'm a player first.
2:21>> You're a player first. Definitely. Well, >> but but I'm very passionate about the content side of things. That That's why
2:28I do it.
2:29>> She She likes She likes the end of the year money going in though, Nelson. I'm sure cuz your your your ROI is your ROI
2:36has been awesome. And I'll say we got we I won't say what team he is, Greg, because we're not allowed to say it, but
2:41Duke Duke Viveros is a is a very active NFC manager and he's in this draft, too.
2:47Uh really really good manager. We'll always see him out in Vegas.
2:50>> His ROI his ROI is pretty good, too.
2:52>> Yeah. Not Not bad. Not bad. Not bad.
2:54>> I mean, Greg, I know what you said, but who are we kidding? Guys that join these live streams, they they don't care about
3:02their name being out there. They they most likely want the spotlight. I think right now with the way the live streams
3:07are taking off, you're right. But I will say one thing about both of you guys as well and Allan, too. I mean, you guys
3:13want to educate more people to do these and that's what I love about these live streams. Like you're not afraid to give
3:18strategies or talk about picks. So, I love that and that's a good part about the industry right now.
3:23>> Vos, we won't tell what pick number is, but it rhymes with hen.
3:28>> There we go. And and shout out to uh NFC Hall of Famer Michael Edelman is in the uh the chat right now. So, we got uh
3:35star-studded uh star-studded viewers as well here. Uh Edelman will be in New York. Always a great drafter in high stakes. One of the best out there. Hope
3:44you're doing well. Um yeah, and I'll say like I've won leagues that I've streamed um in high stakes. Like the thing is if
3:52people want to kind of see where you're drafting, Nelson, you end up getting some values because people might end up reaching and trying to like snipe you to
4:00like prove a point. So, I don't I don't mind it at all. It's challenging, I guess, but there's different ways to win
4:06in these drafts.
4:08>> Yeah. I I feel like even if people try to snipe me, there's always other players that I like. Uh so, you know,
4:16you just build a different team. That's all >> 100%.
4:19>> Look, look, this guy right here, he's he's shouting out that he's team one.
4:23>> There you go.
4:24>> I was cheering for team one.
4:26>> What's up, cheer for team one?
4:27>> Okay, screw him. Cheer for team two.
4:30That's me. I mean, >> let me say uh Michael Edelman's the defending silver bullet championship champion. So, I mean, that's a hell of a
4:38one to take down. Everyone just gets one team in that contest. Mike, you should be working, not be watching this right
4:44now.
4:44>> I was just going to say he it's 2:00 here in New York. Like, he he should be working.
4:50>> He's got a day job.
4:51>> See, Nelson, you know what I'm talking about? He's either really rich or he's goofing off at work.
4:55>> I was going to book my bullet. Uh, I was actually looking at bullets uh this week, Greg, debate debating whether to
5:00do it in Vegas or do it online. I had my highest finish. I finished second in a silver bullet. It it it still haunts me
5:07to this day that I didn't take down the initial silver bullet, but I finished second in that one. That was a pretty
5:12good run out.
5:12>> Yeah, that was good for sure.
5:14>> Nelson, let me ask you this. I asked Greg this on a on like a radio show or podcast, whatever. Do you still think
5:20even though NFC is third round reversal, probably always will be, do you think that the relevance of third round reversal is still there versus the
5:28reason it was created with LT?
5:30>> It it's not the edge for the number one pick is not as great as it was when uh in the LT days. Um, you know, Gibbs,
5:40Bejon, uh, CMC, they're they're difference makers, but I I think LT was just head and shoulders above everybody
5:49else at the time. That it it was a true uh edge if you had the number one pick.
5:56>> Greg, a lot of people don't know that that LT2, Leenian Tomlinson, was the reason that you uh implemented this uh
6:02this mechanics of the board third round reversal. Yeah, like I told you before, the reason we did it was we were 14 team
6:08leagues back then. We did not want to compete with World Championship of fantasy football. They had the 12 team.
6:13I had done 15 teamers in baseball, so 14 made sense. And so having the 14th pick uh without third round reversal was very
6:22very tough and we learned that through the first two years and then when LT went off in 2005 2006 we were like okay
6:29that's enough we are going to use third round reversal to balance out the 14 teams. Then we went to 12T teamers in
6:342008. We kept the third round reversal.
6:37I'll say one thing. I mean, Nelson, you do a lot of teams, right? If it was just randomly drafted, forget if you didn't
6:42have KDS, you might get a lot of the same draft picks, at least with KDS and third round reversal. You now can kind
6:49of pick where you want to at least be in these leagues, right?
6:52>> Yeah. Like a a majority of my KDS is like I said, one through four. Uh then I go like 12 through 10. Then I want the
7:01five pick because I actually I got a Monra over JSN this year. So and he's super consistent. So I like the five
7:09hole and building teams with a Monra.
7:11And then the middle is really kind of like my least favorite. I can draft from anywhere, but it's definitely my least
7:18favorite. So without KDS, you know, I I I think I would have a lot less on the back end of these drafts.
7:26>> Yeah. F Theo, you had pick 12 here, so you start off with Jefferson and uh Hampton. You uh you split the positions.
7:34Was that always the strategy?
7:35>> I mean, not necessarily. I think you could you can go running back, running back here. Um or you could potentially
7:41even go wide receiver, wide receiver if the board falls that way, but I don't mind the getting balanced here with a
7:47running back, wide receiver start. Um I think Hampton's really interesting.
7:51There's a few running backs that I like in this range. I think Chase Brown's really really interesting here as well.
7:57Um, but going balance there, it sort of opens things up for me with the 25th overall pick. Um, and I'll I'll agree
8:04with Nelson there where I think there's some drafters, Nelson, that'll say that I like picking from the middle uh because you end up kind of avoiding
8:12these the runs don't necessarily catch up to you. But I'm with you. I like getting that top four pick. Um, and then
8:19I I don't mind picking from the back because of the idea that I can end up with like a, you know, potentially
8:24awesome pick at like 25 or 26 if I'm picking from the back end.
8:28>> Theo, do me a favor. Go to your Twitter and just go to the RotoWire account and just retweet the thing. See, this is a
8:33little inside how the sausage is made, how we get tons of viewers in here. Uh, right now already pouring in at 2:00
8:40about 400 people already checking this out. They want to see how we draft.
8:43>> Uh, I want to talk to uh, Theo here. So, the Marian Hampton was on with Kay Adams yesterday. They talked about him getting
8:50more involved in the passing game. He was saying maybe 60 plus catches. I mean, Hampton's been in the first round pretty much all year long, but I mean,
8:58if he gets really involved in the passing game, that 13th pick looks pretty valuable, right?
9:04>> Yeah. I mean, if he ends up with 65 catches this year, then he's a smash pick here. I think we're talking about
9:09we do this next year. I think Nelson and I would be talking about like do we take Omar in Hampton like fifth overall,
9:14fourth overall next year if he has that kind of run out. The he could end up with just a ton of rushing touchdowns.
9:20Um it's an offense that I think we all like the I think the only problem with Hampton is there's other really
9:26appealing running backs in this range too, Greg. And it's like we can end up liking four of these guys in round two,
9:31but at the end of the day it's one of them probably significantly outscores the others. But I think Hampton's a really strong upside bet here. Um I I
9:40love this Chargers team. I think this they could be potentially the number one scoring offense in football.
9:45>> Good call there. Nelson, you go uh wide receiver, wide receiver, team four with Nua and AJ Brown. In a running back
9:52crazy world, you're just scooping up that value, aren't you?
9:54>> Unlike Theo, I'm not going to go safe and balanced and conservative.
9:59>> No. No.
10:00>> Are you calling him a coward?
10:02>> No. No. No. No. Nice one. Nice one. But I expected Theo to get a little spicy on this live stream.
10:09>> Well, >> well, you know, I could have I could have gone I could have I could have pushed uh a certain player that's
10:14steaming up draft boards up to the 13th overall pick that Nelson is literally causing his ADP to rise in multiple high
10:20stakes formats. But I took it easy. I took it easy today, Nelson.
10:23>> I was hoping I was hoping for some fireworks, but you know what? You might finesse him here in the third round.
10:29>> Yeah, third round. I think it's it's wide open after this start. Um, again, like those guys that that went London
10:36and AJ Brown are also really appealing.
10:38Um, we'll see which way it goes right here, though.
10:42>> Yeah, I um >> Don't get too excited, Theo.
10:44>> No, not getting too excited.
10:47>> Questions in chat there.
10:48>> Uh, let's see. You Greg, do you have the ability to put on Here we go. How high >> someone said. Oh, here we'll go start
10:54with this one. Anytime someone's goof anyone someone's goofing on Greg, that's that priority comment. Well, I didn't expect that one to go on there. There's
11:02better ones, but thanks, Steve.
11:04>> Um, uh, Greg reminds me of a younger Ernie Ananastasis. I mean, that's the Just for Men die, right, in the beard.
11:10Greg, >> I could get a whole lot darker if I wanted to. Come on. [laughter] >> Look at me making fun of people in here.
11:17>> I'm crazy.
11:18>> Why are you taking 20 seconds?
11:20>> I know. I want to take them here. I'm just making sure I'm not missing somebody that fell. I'm going to take
11:23them right here.
11:24>> It's a snap pick. But, but listen, don't feel the pressure. No, it's it's I I've been taking him a lot in a lot of places
11:31and I think he's really really really a fun one. Um I think like all the vibes coming out of camp. I love that I love
11:38that Baker Mayfield is all mad about not getting a contract. I think like Baker Mayfield like playing yolo ball this year and forcing it into the end zone
11:48trying to get back to like 40 touchdown uh passes like no matter what. Um and just sort of like being angry chip on
11:56his shoulder. Baker is great, but at the end of the day, Eggbuka, I think, is 150 target player. I think he's 100 plus
12:01catches, and they like targeting him in the end zone. So, I'm I'm going to keep drafting Ebuka in round three whenever I
12:09can. And Nelson, I think by the time we draft together in New York, especially in that super, we're not going to get
12:15him at 25 overall.
12:17>> Hey, Greg, take this one real quick.
12:18Take this question. Uh, how do you guys choose between uh Rishi Rice and Nico Collins? Have people been drafting in this contest like that?
12:26>> Well, I think Nico's been going, but uh yeah, I mean, Nico seems to be going now towards the end of the second round,
12:32right, Nelson?
12:34>> I I actually think uh Rice, like 90% of my drafts, Rice goes before Nico.
12:40>> Yeah. Okay.
12:40>> People People don't like CJ Strad, but I think Collins is uh >> Collins is fine. I know there's some smart people on Collins. I think I'm
12:48like kind of neutral, but um he's averaged 17 plus points per game, two out of the last three years. He just
12:55needs to stay healthy. If he stays healthy, I think he's fine right here. I don't know if it's like win win the
13:02league type pick, but I think he could be a guy that can definitely help you if you draft well. The rest like Jir Gibbs,
13:07Nico Nico Collins, that's not a bad start at all.
13:09>> Yeah, for sure.
13:10>> How you like this comment, Theo? We like Cook over Jedhas or Lamb in full PPR. I mean, I'm I'm James Cook ahead of uh
13:19ahead of both of those guys in in my own rankings. Um I like James Cook a ton. I think I'm a little bit ahead of
13:26consensus on him. Um but he goes at eight overall in this draft. So, I would have taken him at 12. I think he would
13:32have been a great pick at the turn.
13:34>> Nelson, which of the contests that the NFC runs do you find is gets your juices going the most? Which one do you love
13:41the best? I know you love them all, but if you have to pick one, which one do you like the best? Um the the prime
13:47time.
13:48>> Why?
13:50>> For the dollar amount. I like the league prizes uh in the prime time. I feel like all the work that you put in and the
13:58grinding. I'm on the clock, by the way.
14:00Go ahead. You got a quick pick.
14:01>> Make your pick. I don't want to rush you. I don't want to be at fault when I beat you in this. Oh, he takes.
14:05>> No, no, no. Pretty easy.
14:06>> Pick is a good one there. I almost took him at 22. Yeah, he he's gone in the second round uh in a lot of these, so I
14:13was happy to get him there. But yeah, with the prime time, I just feel like when you're talking about a tournament
14:20format that you have a shot at 300K, uh which is nothing to sneeze at, but all that hard work that you put in during
14:27the regular season, there's you you actually can see some money at at the end of the regular season before the the
14:35playoffs start. And that's a big factor for me because when you're heavily invested, high volume type player, you're definitely looking at your ROI
14:46and I I like the format of the prime time.
14:49>> Yeah, good cool.
14:50>> I like I that's a great I think it's a great answer from Nelson. I I the prime time's awesome. Uh I think that the
14:56super is great, too. Especially the one >> Explain what that is. That's a $2,500 entry, but it's a it's a closed format,
15:03so it's only 12 teams, but it's a higher stakes one. Uh really nice payouts.
15:08Those usually attract some tremendous managers. Like every single super is going to you're going to end up seeing a couple of the very best players in in
15:16the country really uh in those supers. I mean, you can't find a super that's soft. Um but for me, I love I love the
15:23silver bullet. I think when you guys created that contest, Greg, that was like such a cool thing to have like a
15:30single entry contest in in high stakes.
15:32Um, I've also done well in that contest.
15:34I just I feel like you see some people that um maybe will mix it up. Uh where in like the the online championships or
15:42the prime times, uh you know, you can kind of understand ADP. The silver bullet a lot of times you get these
15:47drafts where people are, hey, I got one shot at it. I'm going to get my guy. And it creates some sort of unique builds.
15:53It's a really fun really fun contest.
15:55>> Yeah, the silver bullet was uh the idea came to us from our players. I mean, I think I I know a lot of guys in the New
16:03York area were the ones that came up with this. Sean Gundy and Billy uh said, why not do a contest, a national contest
16:09with one team per person? And I thought, one shot, that's a fantastic idea. But trying to guarantee the prize, I was
16:16like, how many teams will we get?
16:19You know, like when you have the online championship of prime time, Nelson might take multiple teams. Theo takes How many one team owners am I going to have, you
16:27know, and so I think we did it for 240 teams and we sold it out. So, yeah, the one shot is great because you have to go
16:33get your guy. You only have one shot to win that 50,000. You go get your guy. Uh you see that unlike anything other than
16:40maybe the platinum and the diamond and like Theo said, the supers. But uh the silver bullet to me, we're only going to
16:47have 23 leagues, 276 unique teams.
16:50That's the best contest, man. That's great.
16:52>> Uh we love playing on the NFC. Uh we've been doing it for years. Greg, you know, is the proprietor owner of the company,
16:59co-founder of the company. And right now, it's interesting to see how all of these builds are coming together. Fourth round is when really it starts. So I am
17:08team two. Nelson, who's in stream, is team four. Theo is team 12. And then we'll have Matt Korn coming on later.
17:14He's team six. Uh, Greg, you can't participate in this, right? That would be a conflict of interest.
17:18>> I certainly can't. Uh, none [laughter] of us can. Otherwise, we would look at all your fabs before we look your fab
17:24picks. Forget about the draft. We'd have to do it the different way.
17:28>> Nelson, have you at team four, have you done this before where you just go four receivers? I know this was like, you
17:33know, a popular strategy post Shan Seagull days, but I haven't seen it much in 2026.
17:39>> Yeah. So for me, I look at it as once it becomes like a common theme that people want to go running back heavy or, you
17:46know, early running back, I I tend to kind of shy away from like the consensus and the group think and and go a
17:55different way. So I I have a lot of these type of builds where I go four wide and then I see and then I'm
18:01open-minded in the five six turn. I don't necessarily go running back. It it just depends on like what falls there.
18:08Um, and I I like some running backs a little bit later in in drafts uh this year. So, I'm not scared to, you know,
18:17push like my RB2 back quite a bit.
18:20>> All right, Theo, your OTC right here.
18:22We'll let you make your picks and then we'll uh you'll let us know.
18:26>> Let's uh point out that Malik Neighbors went 34th there. Uh Nelson, where's he been going in drafts these last?
18:33>> So, LA last night I did two um drafts.
18:36uh one off offline and then one on my live stream last night and he went he went third round right around this
18:43range. Yeah.
18:44>> And I I think he's going to climb up more and more.
18:47>> Yeah. I mean, we saw the video of him yesterday in practice. So, uh I was just wondering where he was going, you know,
18:52before we saw that. Hey, the guy can still run. And yeah, shout out to Frank Mimola. He was also one of the guys that
18:58came up the silver bullet idea. But Neighbors is very interesting. Uh if he does come back healthy, it'll be interesting. I will say, Greg, I I've
19:05got Malik Neighbors in the fifth round.
19:07>> Yeah, right. That's what I meant >> in a few of these. So, uh I think those team I got to look back and just see
19:13what those teams look like and hopefully I didn't screw it up. But, [laughter] uh that's kind of interesting. If if Neighbors gets locked in here in the
19:21third round or or earlier, and we're not going to see any more fifth round shears, >> that will be uh a unique team.
19:28>> And I'll give a I'll give a I'll give a shout out. You were talking about like the zero RB teams. Uh Tommy Leetti took
19:36down two overalls a couple years ago. I think that was, correct me if I'm wrong here, Greg, the classic and the bullet.
19:43He won both using a real zero RB. And our guy Chris Vicaro, you know, Chris Ficaro was one of the first people to to
19:50do it. Um, you know, I've talked to Chris about this, like Chris doesn't get enough credit. I think he was maybe the
19:56first to take down a big major national contest using Zer RB. He was Chris Chris Vicaro was like a pioneer with that for
20:04sure.
20:04>> Chris gets plenty of credit. Don't say he doesn't get a >> I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
20:08>> He gets too much credit.
20:09>> Don't give him too much credit. He's already got a big head.
20:12>> Nelson line.
20:14>> Go ahead.
20:14>> I've seen him draft so far this year and I think with his old age, he he's starting to get a little softer. He's
20:20going running back heavy this year.
20:22>> He's an old running back boomer now.
20:24He's a running back boomer. [laughter] >> Just great. Like four straight running backs. There you go. Three straight running backs. There you go.
20:29>> H New York's gonna be hot this year. I can feel it already. That's going to be fun. It's at Chris Vicaro's bar. He's
20:35got home field advantage in New York.
20:37But uh >> hey guys, let's point out team eight.
20:41They go super duper tight end with Bowowers in two. Uh Lovelin in round four. And now Tayvon Henderson. Uh who again I'm a little goosey on the
20:50>> I I like the I like the Henderson pick.
20:52I thought about him at the turn here.
20:54>> Okay. But what do you think about the double tight end in single PPR?
20:57>> It's hard to pull off in NFC. I I think Greg could probably let me know. I don't think that we've had like a guy finish
21:04top five in in any of these contests.
21:07Top 10 in any of these contests who have gone tight end tight end. Now, the fact that it's a fourth round tight end, I
21:12don't know, but it's it makes it a little more interesting. I love Coloulston Lovelin. I love Brock Bowers, but it's hard to to catch up here at the
21:21wide receiver position if there's a huge run. Um, but hey, if you get the tight end one and the tight end two right, it
21:27could end up paying off. Um, and again, he didn't do it with like a a third rounder. It was a fourthrounder. So, I
21:34don't know. It's hard. It's hard to see that paying off, but it certainly could.
21:37Bowowers could be 20 points per game this year. I'm convinced of that. Uh, and Lovelin, I think, could outscore McBride, so it could end up being a nice
21:44run out. Greg, has anyone gotten Jeremiah Love, Loveland, and Jordan Love on the same team yet?
21:50>> Uh, there's a lot of Love around, but I don't know if we've had that combination yet.
21:54>> That's the That's the winning combo right there.
21:56>> Yeah. I mean, as far as Loveland as a second tight end, that's your flex guy, right? If you think he's going to get 80
22:0290 receptions and you think that's your flex guy and he's going to stay healthy, go for it. But, uh, like Theo said, it
22:09leaves you a little less flexibility during the season. Uh, you know, you may get four good wide receivers and now you
22:14got to sit one of them because you've got Lovelin at your flex position.
22:18>> All right, here we go.
22:20>> Look at that. Nelson, he said he wasn't necessarily going to take a running back at uh five or six.
22:26>> He lied to us. I actually told the truth. You're right.
22:28>> He told the truth.
22:30>> Let me ask you, so this question is for Allen and Theo. What are the chances of Tyler Warren finishing as tight end one?
22:38>> I mean, he's he's sort of the arbit >> 50% Not 50, but I think Tyler Warren has a shot. It's He's sort of in a tier of
22:45his own because he's You said 50% chance of being the tight end one overall.
22:50Allan, >> 15%.
22:51>> Oh, 15. I I We all thought [laughter] you said 50. We all thought you said 50.
22:56Um I I mean I've been drafting him as well, Nelson. I took him in that that OC that we were that with Dave Kugi. Um we
23:05we took him in that one in like the sixth round. But I think Warren it just he's he's the best bet to lead the Colts
23:12in catches and targets this year. Um and he sort of has a potential Trey McBride like arbitrage play there if you're
23:20looking for like that sort of archetype.
23:22Uh unbelievable production in college was terrific. Uh last season ended up the the final numbers at the end of last season didn't look as good because there
23:32was regression for the offense down the stretch. Jonathan Taylor and him both sort of regressed when when Rivers came in there. But I mean, Nelson, I think
23:38it's a great bet to make and considering how far away you got him compared to like a McBride, I think Warren's a
23:45really fun bet this year at Tight end 4.
23:47>> Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Um, all right, guys.
23:50So, also team six is Matt K. He's going to come on the stream a little bit later. I met Matt down at the at the
23:57Fantasy Football Expo. He's he's full of opinions. I I like uh how he critiques the team. So, uh, we'll be seeing him a
24:03little bit later. Nelson, so you are now going full. I mean, this is old school.
24:08You know, we used to joke around and say old school is going wrong. Wait, I'm on the clock here. Let me
24:12>> make [laughter] your pick. Make your pick, Alan.
24:14>> You're you're about to go old school auto.
24:17>> Yeah. No, no. And and I have a horrible player at the top of the queue, too. So, all right. Here. I'm drafting guy. I'm
24:24not loving my team, guys, because I I don't like Tet in the third. I just feel like I was forced into that a little
24:29bit. But, okay. And then I I'm I've been yelling that Burden's a bad pick and then I make it. So I'm always betting
24:34against myself. I feel like that's a good way to play fantasy football.
24:39>> Well, Burden is not a bad pick. He's been rising up into the third round.
24:42>> I don't know why you don't you don't like you don't like Burden, Alan.
24:45>> I'm tell because you know what? It's just as much possible that he could fail is that he can win win you the league,
24:50which I guess is the way you're supposed to play these hot, you know, >> supposed to win the league. Yeah, you're
24:54going all in. All right, so Buck Beamer says he's looking for these kind of 350 leagues. Bucko, jump on in. Stop
25:00watching. Jump on in here. FFC.com.
25:03>> Bucko. Use the code. Use the code Theo.
25:05Easy, easy code for you. I mean, about as easy as it gets.
25:08>> And Bucko, we're doing another one of these live streams at 2:00 on August 13th. That's a Thursday. So, if you sign
25:14up for the 2 p.m. matinea draft, you'll be in right here on the channel where we're live streaming this. It's always
25:20fun uh that we goof on your team just like we goof on the rest of them here.
25:23And then says Theo, uh, where are you picking? I'm late. He Theo is at 12 and Nelson is at four. He's in stream. I'm
25:32at two. Okay. Oh, he wrote he wrote back there. Okay.
25:36>> Yeah, I took uh I took Cam Scataboo and Jameson Williams at the four five turn.
25:42So, I'm very balanced here. I'm I'm a little boring and balanced, but I like I'm a I'm a big sucker for uh Jameson
25:47Williams. I I I think he's a little underrated right now. Um he's explosive and electric and I also get him I get
25:54him as my wide receiver three and I think like Jefferson and and Amecha Ibuka are going to be like very very
26:01consistent so I think I'll be able to sort of deal with maybe a little bit of es and flows with Jameson but those
26:07spike weeks can win you an entire week with him. And that's what I was about to say, Theo, is that with Jameson, he's
26:13got those spike weeks in them. And in a tournament format like this where in weeks 15 through 17, you need those kind
26:20of like big games out of a player. He he has that ability.
26:24>> Yeah, I know. I I I I love Williams. I have him a little bit higher than ADP in my in my own rankings. Um
26:33>> I just think he's awesome. And last year, like when when when we started seeing Campbell calling the plays, Jameson's uh production spiked in a in a
26:41major way. Uh so I don't know. I'm betting on Detroit this year. I think they're they're just awesome.
26:46>> Hey Theo, does uh Leaporta's return healthy help or hurt Jameson?
26:51>> It's obviously a little bit of a challenge cuz Leaporta also has some touchdown upside, but I think Leaporta like with that back injury, it's it's
26:58it's always a little problematic and a chance that could like reagravate. I think also they could be Gibbs is going to be Gibbs. Gibbs is going to crush it
27:07this year. He's the 101. I think if for me and I think for a lot of people. Um but I think they could be a little bit
27:13more pass happy because I don't think there's going to be any pressure on them to get the running back two involved
27:20like they did with Montgomery. I think Pacheco is just a just a per a pure cuff. Uh and not even a great one in my
27:26opinion. So, it's I think there's a chance that multiple players could return value, including potentially Goff, who's been really consistent with
27:34the touchdown passes. I mean, he could be this year's version of Matthew Stafford if it runs out well.
27:39>> 700 of our closest friends in here at 2 o'clock. Get back to work at two at 2:30 on a uh
27:46>> was right. Lee Elio was right. I swear it.
27:49>> Yep.
27:49>> See, we love matineese. Good job, Alan.
27:51You're filling these matineese. We love it.
27:53>> This is my specialty. I'm the mata guy, you know, like um Nelson's the waiverwire high stakes guy. Theo, he has
28:00just been crushing it as a dynasty and reddraft high stakes player and I am going to be the matinea guy. That's
28:06going to be my my call to uh the industry right now.
28:10>> I like it.
28:11>> Um hey, real quick, uh lightning round answer for each of you. The Parker Washington vers BTJ argument which is going to have victory laps on week one,
28:19week two, and all the way to the end of the season. Theo, where are you? Nelson, and then I want to hear Greg.
28:24I don't see. Oh, let me make the pick.
28:26So, go. Maybe one of those guys.
28:28>> Yeah, Nelson, go first. I'm sorry. I see. I was trying to distract them. He's in my league.
28:31>> I was a Parker Washington guy last year.
28:34This year, I don't necessarily love his price. And I look at it as uh BTJ was going in the first round last year, and
28:43now you can get him in the sixth round in a lot of these drafts. So, that's a guy that I want to go back to the well
28:50on. um because the talent's there and the upside's there. Even if he's not going to be the guy that's going to be
28:56in the middle of the field, I think if he builds that rapport and chemistry with Lawrence this year, you could see
29:02like a big year coming out of Thomas with a lot of those like long touchdowns.
29:07>> Yeah, it's going to be an interesting debate because you could make a case for or against either of those guys and both
29:12of them are rock solid cases, right, Greg?
29:14>> Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I always say or we always say draft the talent, right? So, you're drafting the talent.
29:19Thomas is more talented in Washington.
29:21Washington was very, very good last year. But in the sixth round, like Nelson said, there's very little risk there. He obviously was playing with an
29:29injury last year. Brian Thomas has the biggest upside of those two.
29:33>> I I think I think that's a great way of explaining it. I think BTJ on the upside case could end up with double digit
29:39touchdown catches. Washington, I think, will be like a more consistent guy. But I think for NFC, both of them are very
29:46good picks. um when you get around like that 56 turn, they both have very positive vibes and I think that there's
29:52a chance that like it's again there it's an offense I think we're betting on. I think we like the play caller and Liam
29:58Cohen. Trevor Lawrence took a big step forward last year. Honestly, those two guys and Bashel Tutin I think are all priced well. I think Jacksonville is an
30:06offense we can bet on without having to use anything too expensive in terms of ADP draft capital.
30:12>> Yeah, I mean I took I had to make the choice. I took Barker Washington this time. I've taken BTJ other times and
30:17that's the problem with with doing a lot of leagues, you start diversifying against your own interests sometimes.
30:22So, um, and then obviously the worst part, which it doesn't matter to all of us, but you're rooting for and against
30:28everybody. I think at my peak, and Theo will laugh at this, but I was in I think with my reddraft in Dynasty, 48 leagues
30:34at one point. Um, and then, you know, all you I mean, Nelson, you do the same.
30:38>> Get your numbers up. Get your numbers up.
30:40>> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Dude, I do you remember like eight years ago when you would do you would say I'm in 35
30:45best balls and people like oh my god how do you do all that now? They laugh at you like you're like a you don't even
30:49play.
30:50>> I'm in 30 I'm in 35 slow best balls right now as we speak. I'm probably on the clock in a number of them too. Um I
30:57think it's I think I honestly think it's like the underdog effect has been really good for high stakes formats like NFC
31:03because people put more skin in the game. they see like, you know, hey, I'm doing all these best balls and I can go
31:07over here to NFC and draft, you know, five of these 350s and maybe do a prime time and people are don't really bat an
31:14eye at putting, you know, a lot of money into it. It I say I think money management is a skill in fantasy
31:21football like it is in life. And it's like this sort of format, pressureures on you. It's a big entry fee. If you
31:27don't win a couple of teams here, uh, win a couple of leagues, uh, it hurts.
31:31But if you win a couple, it's an unbelievable payout here in the NFC. So, >> you only you only have to win a couple.
31:36That's that's a good point right there.
31:37Yeah. Very good.
31:38>> All right, we got some QB stacks here.
31:40Uh Allen, which I always like to look at. Team eight with Coulson Love went with Caleb Williams. Team one's got Joe
31:47Burrow and T. Higgins. Uh we talk about stacks. I mean, Nelson, you know about stacks. They definitely hit the last several years. Uh are you stacking this
31:57year? I know you're up on the clock, but Theo, what about you? uh on stacking.
32:01>> Yeah, I mean I like I like correlation.
32:03I think you like having a at least a a quarterback wide receiver or even a quarterback uh tight end. It's nice. I
32:10think people can get a little bit over their heads sometimes forcing it though.
32:14>> Um Exactly. And I think forcing stacks it you sort of lose your edge when you have to reach in a major way. I think
32:20it's also one thing when when you get into like these prime times or or or into, you know, the the any of the any
32:28of the the formats here, silver bullet for that matter, you have to get to the postseason. So, it's like making these
32:35you have to like get to the postseason.
32:37You have to win your league or finish, you know, second or or have the most points. So, you've got to get there. And
32:42I think getting like two stack crazy sometimes you can derail your build.
32:47>> Yep. Yeah. And I think the stacks are affordable this year. That's what you're saying, right? I mean, we remember last
32:52year. I mean, it was uh Herz and AJ Brown in the first two rounds or or Chase Burrow in the first three rounds.
32:59You're not paying that right now.
33:00Remember back when it was Mahomes and uh Kelsey in the first couple of rounds.
33:05We're just not seeing that this year.
33:06So, uh stacking is cheaper if you want.
33:09>> That's when stacking is whack, right?
33:11Like when you have to pay your first and your third for it or your first and your fourth or your sec. It's when you can
33:16get those. And I'm not saying Daniel Jones and, you know, and some, you know, cocka la, you know, crazy last round
33:22pick or something, but it it's when you can get it in the middle and it falls to you. Like I think Theo just said it a
33:27minute ago, the stacking is becoming too, you know, like where people are reaching for it and they're actually leaving value on the table. Any value
33:35you're gaining with correlation.
33:37>> I kind of regret the uh the May pick a little bit. I think there's going to be some quarterbacks coming up that I could
33:42have waited on, but I I still may I have I have him very highly ranked uh for this format. So, it's like I don't know.
33:50I feel like I was flat there and just taking him even though I don't have correlation. I think Drake May is still
33:54going to smash this year.
33:56>> Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's good value there. He's been going there. His ADP is 72. You got him at 73, but it's still a
34:02good good value, I think. Uh >> but but you're right. I mean, you looking at your team, you got all kinds
34:08of possible stacks cuz those quarterbacks aren't going very high. So, you can wait if you want to and uh still get a couple stacks.
34:16>> Hey guys, if you want to sign up for an NFC draft and do one of these, they're 350 to get into. This is the Football
34:22Guys online championship. You just go to playnfc.com.
34:25Uh Theo, what's your code? You said >> just use code Theo, just my name. That's all you need.
34:31>> All caps. All caps.
34:33>> Yep. The lower case is somebody else. So you >> Yeah. Yeah. Greg gave it to some other Theo. That's where
34:38>> it's proud. It's only four letters. I wanted to be proud. I appreciate it as well, man.
34:42>> I appreciate that.
34:43>> So you go there and then what what do you get for code Theo. You get a few bucks off of a
34:47>> 25 bucks off, I believe.
34:49>> 25 bucks. Yep.
34:50>> That's that's a deal. Gives you an extra bus ball to do or something like that.
34:54Absolutely.
34:54>> So play NFC. And if you want to uh be on our next live stream, not actually on, we don't want you on, we want you to be
35:00in this draft. Uh, August 13th at 2 p.m.
35:04is our next matinea draft. But of course, you can join any of Nelson's drafts, any Theo's drafts, any draft just that the date that works for you.
35:11PlaynfFC.com.
35:13>> Absolutely. And we love our drafts from matte to midnight. Uh, Nelson's doing a live stream tonight at 11:55 p.m.
35:20Eastern time. So, the midnights have been filling up the last couple of nights. It's great for the West Coast guys. Not that Duke needs a better time
35:28for him, but I'm sure he'll jump in there tonight. So, uh, but yeah, Midnight Alls are great.
35:33>> Theo, I just did the thing I told you was suboptimal. I took Trevor Lawrence ahead of ADP to stack, but I just had a
35:39feeling he wasn't going to be there.
35:40This seemed like it was the quarterback run. And when you're on the ends like this, you're going to have to make some
35:45nonoptimal ADP decisions, it looks like.
35:47>> Yeah, I'm I'm about to make a little correlation bet here. I like Trayvon Henderson a lot, but for this team, I'm
35:54going to take Raandre Stevenson.
35:56>> Yeah.
35:57>> And then I'm gonna take Jaden Reed here.
36:00uh to start building out this wide receiver room.
36:02>> I like it.
36:04>> Nelson, going back to your squad here, you start with the four wide and then Tyler Warren. You get your uh the uh the
36:11trendiest running back in the history of 2026, Jonathan Brooks, that's either going to look like a genius or you're going to say, uhoh. Uh Rashad White, who
36:19I like very much in the seventh round, and then Chris Godwin, who nobody likes.
36:23That's a boring player that professional drafters always uh cash in on. Yeah, with Godwin in the eighth round, I think it it is boring, but I actually get
36:33excited as my number five wide receiver because you're going to have guys get banged up, you're going to have by weeks, uh guys that are going to
36:42underperform. So, getting someone like that I I think is important, especially here at the NFC with three wide receivers. You got to start him.
36:51>> I would have taken Godwin if he was there. He's boring, but I think you're right, Nelson. I think like if we're
36:57trying to kind kind of of a run out of what his season could look like, could his season still look like Stfan Diggs
37:03last year? Um, and then we still have a Ibuka just crushing it, but Godwin gives you like 12 and a half points per game.
37:11I think that's probably what happens, but I think he'll help you get through a lot of weeks. Now, Theo, I I've heard a
37:17a lot about people talking about the guys that are anti- IBUKA, and they say, "Well, Godwin's still there, and what if
37:27he eats in that offense?" And, you know, the opposite. Like, you know, you and I are both in on Ibuka, but I don't
37:35necessarily hate Godwin. I don't think he's washed. I just think that both can coexist. Like I I think I could have a
37:43monstrous season and Godwin could still pay off his ADP.
37:48>> Yeah, 100%. And it's this is like what I was drafted to do was to be like the next in line. And I think what we saw
37:55from Ibuka to start out last season, seeing that for the course of the season is in the range of outcomes. Uh I just
38:01had Jacob Gibbs on um right here on Rotoire. Jacob is awesome. and Jacob uh he thinks I could be a top five scorer
38:09just like we do and his bold prediction was that he's going to outscore Drake London this year and loves the fit like
38:16everything's sort of lining up for Ibuka but even even if we take away Ibuka Godwin sort of coexisting there I think
38:23is fine because the tight ends Kate Autton and then you've got guys like TZ Johnson Jaylen McMillan too I think is a
38:30is worth a shot at like a at like a fade Godwin type you know Godwin let's say Godwin injuries occur again or maybe
38:37like looks a little less explosive. I think McMillan's sort of priced right, but I think another pass catcher being relevant doesn't mean that Ibuka
38:46underwhelms. I think IA is going to do great. Um and that offensive line in Tampa Bay is unbelievable. They're like a top five unit. Uh Allan, we have Dan
38:54Fornick. Uh hasn't been announced um yet, but Dan Fornick is going to be doing offensive line content for us right here at Rotoire. I think he's
39:02maybe the best in in the game at offensive lines and he's super bullish on on uh on Tampa Bay. So, uh look for
39:08some sort of announcement with Dan doing some articles over here.
39:11>> Just got an email from Dan. He said he wants more money. He's not starting until he >> Oh, man. Oh, man. There we go. I talked
39:16him up too much, huh?
39:18>> Yeah.
39:18>> No, Dan's the man.
39:19>> U guys, where are you at here? Uh Nelson, I drafted tight end and QB in the first eight picks. generally not
39:27something you want to do because then you're always chasing. But for the but when the value falls to you, you're trying to create a stack. Uh generally
39:33the ones on onesie positions, how are you spacing them out in drafts?
39:37>> So here's the thing. I don't mind going early running back and and tight end. It it it's just you have to know that
39:47you're either going to punt the RB2 position or your flex is going to be weak or at least it's going to look weak
39:54on paper. And I'm okay with that. If you feel like you've got an edge at quarterback and you have an edge at
40:00tight end, I I don't worry about that.
40:03Like I that whole rule uh of like, hey, don't take if you take an early tight end, you got to push your quarterback
40:09back. I don't think that that's the case. I think you can get an edge at both. You just got to know that you got
40:15to be committed that your RB2 is going to be a little uncomfortable entering the season and you know you'll find it
40:23on the waiverwire or maybe one of your bench guys you know works out but that's how I think you build a team like that.
40:30Theo, uh, so far you've gone at pick 12, Jefferson, Ibuka, and Jameson Williams, and then Jaden Reed. So, you have a nice
40:38four stack of receivers. And then sprinkled in between you and Marian Hampton, Scataboo, uh, Jadarian Price, the rookie, and Raandre Stevenson.
40:46Jadarian Price, he's been, you know, he started off as a fifth rounder. Now you get him in the seventh round here. What
40:52do you think is a reasonable outlook for the first, like, say, six weeks for Jadarian Price?
40:57>> Yeah, I mean, I understand. I mean, I think you can you can there's people out there that are drafting a lot of George
41:02Helani um and sort of betting on the George Hani stuff, but I think Price can get there with touchdowns. It's a it's a
41:09very good offense and I think that Jadarian Price sort of in like a Kenneth Walker type role. Even if George Helani
41:15is mixing in as a pass catcher, I think Price can get there with touchdowns. I think the big variable would be if
41:22Charbanet is actually back. That could sort of screw things up. But like you said, it's I got him at the 612 here. Um
41:28getting Jarian Price in like the seventh round. I'll make that bet a lot. Um he's a he's a guy that I I I want some
41:35exposure to because I do think he's very explosive and I think he could score a lot of touchdowns this year. Um and I
41:41think Seattle does too. I think the vibes are are good there and the beat reporters seem to be pretty positive about about Price and and how he's
41:48looked at both OTAAS and and early on in training camp.
41:51>> Greg, this is a question I get all the time. Uh what would be the best draft slot in the NFC? Is there uh do you have
41:58any percentages on what the best slot is?
42:01>> Yeah, Dan Hindry just did a evaluation of the last four years using our third round reversal in the Rotoire online
42:08championship and the worst performing spot was number one.
42:13>> Yes.
42:13>> And yet everybody wants number one. I mean you can watch the KDS's and everybody's got one, two, three, maybe they go to 12 like Nelson says, but
42:22number one over the last four years.
42:23Well, now again, McAffrey got hurt. Uh, Chase didn't perform as well. I mean, there's a lot of reasons for that, but
42:29number one has the middle has actually been the most successful uh over the last four years. But yeah, Dan Henry did
42:35a fantastic uh article on it uh looking at the last four years of history in the online championship.
42:41>> Where do you find that article?
42:43>> I will uh put a link off my Twitter account, but it's on footballguys.com.
42:47Dan Hendry in their high stakes section.
42:49It's a really good evaluation. you know, he went through our APIs and looked at all the history because he was curious
42:55too with third round reversal. As we've pointed out, the number of league champions across the board with third round reversal is very, very balanced,
43:05but again, number one has underperformed the last four years for sure.
43:09>> By the way, a couple, it's a little bit of a plug time here. Theo, your new uh podcast over on Rotoire in your videos,
43:15you're putting out new content every day on the RotoWire YouTube page. you're going to have a ton of content behind the premium service. So, I want everyone
43:22if you go over to rotowire.com, use code theo20, we're going to give you 20% off today. Today, you get 20% off over at
43:28rotowire.com. Use code theo20. Nelson, I'm going to promote your podcast, especially Fantasy Empire and the stuff you do at FTM, but I'm going to critique
43:36it also if you don't mind.
43:38>> Go for it.
43:38>> I think Nelson's got one of the best highstakes podcasts. And Nelson, we need to upgrade your sound. Actually, you've done a little better this year. You're
43:46going to need to upgrade your video because despite mediocre sound, I still listen to every damn second of it from beginning to end. That's how good it is.
43:54>> Okay. So, what do we need? We need a new mic.
43:57>> I'm already I'm already Listen, I'm already talking to my guy Nelson behind the scenes. You don't need the public call out right here. Nelson, you keep
44:03crushing it. Fantasy Empire. I will I'll give a shout out to all the Fantasy Empire guys. My guy Dan Williamson.
44:09>> It's the best podcast. It really is.
44:10>> And you you know who came up with the name Fantasy Empire? who came up with the with Okay, so here's the history of
44:15Fantasy Empire.
44:16>> Okay, I came up with Fantasy Empire, the name Fantasy Empire, because that was that was my guy Chris Vicaro and Nando
44:23Defino's show over at the Athletic. The Athletic makes a ridiculous decision to go in a different direction or whatever.
44:30Chris comes over to Player Profiler with Nando, but we can't call it the Athletic Fantasy Football Show or whatever it was. So, I said, "How about Fantasy
44:37Empire?" Chris liked it, so we ran with it. And then that show became even even better last year when Nelson, Matt
44:45Modika, and Dan Williamson joined.
44:47That's like that's a must listen if you're a high stakes guy. So, >> and even if you're not, it's it's seriously one it's it is high stakes
44:53focused. It is one of it's the best one out there. I think Theo and I agree we're both fans of it. And I'm only
44:57busting your chops, Nelson, because sometimes last year it would look like uh Matt Modika was in a hostage video or something, you know? He was like the
45:05shade was But he's he's great. He's great on there and it's uh I enjoy it very much. But I'm going to come over.
45:10I'm gonna >> I thought maybe I thought you were making fun of me because I I draft in the dark.
45:15>> Well, yes. Well, that but that's part of like your mystique. I see. I kind of like that part.
45:18>> It's mysterious for sure. It's it's mysterious. I t I want to ask Nelson on on one pick I just made there.
45:24>> Um I went Shahed over Diggs and I was thinking about Jaylen McMillan if he fell there as like sort of a double bet
45:32with Ibuka. Um but I went Shahed over Diggs. curious where you're at on Shahed and Diggs there. Um Diggs, I mean, I
45:42feel like the the run out would be great if he lands in like a Washington potentially. Um >> sorry guys, >> wondering which way you'd go with that
45:49one.
45:50>> So I I'm a Shahed guy this year and I look at it with Diggs that everyone says, "Oh, he's going to move up uh once
45:57he signs with a team." Well, one, it it's a 50/50 shot whether he signs to an ideal situation or if it's a little bit
46:06crowded. And even if he signs to an ideal uh team, isn't he basically in the same spot as Shahid where he's going to
46:15be the number two behind a number one, right?
46:18>> So, >> I feel like Yeah. Yeah. I think you make a great point. like and one of the one of the clean landing spots for him was
46:24going to be like Baltimore and it feels like the Chris Moore signing all the beat reporters say they're probably moving off of that. So it's Washington
46:31or bust or it could end up being a a really weird kind of run out for him unless we get some if we get some major
46:37injury then I think like diggs could end up landing really well if somebody's like okay we're doing it but it seems
46:42like teams are kind of avoiding him. I have a ton of digs in baseball but I'm coming around on Shahed. There's been
46:47some positivity there. Um, and yeah, I think he's interesting.
46:52>> All right, guys. Welcome to the stream.
46:53Matt Korn, team number six. Matt, uh, good to see.
46:57>> Good to see you again.
46:59>> You were making fun of someone's video.
47:01Mine's worse than everybody.
47:02>> Yeah, Matt, why can you please size Matt up here, Alan? What's going on?
47:05You're supposed to know what you're doing here, Alan, in the Streamyard streets.
47:09>> Alan tried and he blew it up.
47:12>> I like that Matt's Matt's videos all cockam me. I think it's funny. That's why he's >> There we go. There we go.
47:17>> Yeah. Hey, you'll just have to live, right, >> Matt? Take us through your team. What are your What's your best and your worst
47:22pick so far?
47:22>> Oh my gosh. Well, uh you know, my goal is to go obviously quarterback late. Uh you know, how many times do uh do we
47:31draft a team that we think is phenomenal and then uh about at least 30% at all times uh don't pan out and usually it's
47:3850. So, I just always draft draft for depth and uh try to get as many running backs, as many wide receivers, as many
47:45tight ends as I can get before I get my first quarterback. And I feel like I did all that. I mean, I've got some players.
47:52Didn't really like Khalil Shakir, but there were so many quarterbacks. I knew one of them was going to come back around to me. So, he was probably the
48:00best available. is not exactly someone I like having on my team because he's pretty uh he's pretty pedestrian, but uh he'll fill a spot by a week or
48:10something.
48:10>> Good, good, Nelson. Um Jaylen Herz just went in the 11th round. This makes me want to throw up in my mouth when I take
48:19Trevor Lawrence in the eighth round.
48:21>> Yeah, quarterbacks have gone late in this draft. Uh, I I think that's pretty much part for the course this year, but
48:29a little later than usual in this draft.
48:31>> I mean, this guy was like a fourth round, fifth round pick last year, right, Greg? Jaylen Herz, >> he absolutely were. Again, all
48:36quarterbacks were moved up, but uh, Herz did not pass the ball real well, and we got to see if he is going to pass the
48:42ball. I like what Nelson did there doing the double take on the on the quarterbacks and getting Stafford as your backup quarterback as a stack with
48:50Puka is damn nice. I think you got to like that. You got Pickings and you got Prescott. You got a lot of options
48:56there. And if either of those teams gets hot in weeks 15, 16, 17, that could lead to $300,000.
49:02>> Listen, these guys in this draft room are very nice. They were all cooperating. [laughter] >> There we go.
49:08Yeah. Yeah. And I and I it makes me the like seeing kind of where some of these guys went, seeing Dak go in round 10,
49:14seeing Herz in round 11, >> you know, I wonder I I could have gotten another strong wide receiver bet uh instead of taking May and then double
49:23tap the position. But I I I can't ever hate on getting Drake May, especially in NFC. But uh yeah, the way this rolled
49:30out, you never kind of know when what you're going to get here, but hurts in round 11, man. right there on the ends
49:34especially you gota have to guess of what's going to happen next because if you get caught on the wrong side of that
49:38you're toast you know you end up starting like Cam Ward you just keep punting and punting and punting until it's too late
49:44>> I was in a draft with Nelson and Dave Kugi and we ended up getting uh just steamrolled where a bunch of people went
49:49with their second QB before we took our first and that team is like Kyler Murray and Malik Willis so it could be uh you
49:56know you you can end up getting completely steamrololled uh at the quarterback position in NFC and with the six-point passing touchdowns
50:02>> it's Definitely important.
50:04>> Well done, Nelson. I'm all in on him.
50:08>> You know, one one thing I'll add on the quarterback piece is, you know, the great thing about going five, six, or
50:13seven is you can watch what's happened at the ends and you can count the number of quarterbacks and you say, "Okay, I
50:18know someone's not going to take a second quarterback in the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth round." And so you just count the number and you say,
50:24"Can I live with that guy?" And if you can, just wait. Uh whereas And you can't do that kind of math.
50:31>> Yeah. No, you're right. You're absolutely right.
50:34>> But the problem is, yeah, I mean that we were talking about it in relation to stacks. Like I I jumped the gun on
50:38Lawrence after I told you that was a donkey move just to, you know, correlate with Parker. But hey, listen, if it
50:43works out, it's great. Um, you know, and you try different things and different builds and then sometimes you just, you know, you end up on the short end of it.
50:51That's why I think the middle is still the best draft spot because you don't have to force it. You know, sure, maybe
50:56you don't get like that TR Bejon player or be able to stack um like two really good running backs like Jonathan Taylor
51:03and Chase Brown like team 10 did, but you're, you know, you can kind of balance the draft a little bit. I see
51:09team nine is my friend Nikki Simone.
51:10He's in here, too. I He was the team that got Jaylen Herz. He's looking like a good build here. All right, Theo,
51:15you're coming up here in a little bit.
51:17We're starting to see we saw the Dallas kicker round 11. That seems about where he goes here. Where are you on that
51:24strategy? This used to be the Justin Tucker pick and now it's the uh it's the Cowboys kicker pick.
51:31>> I'm fine with if you're stuck uh taking Dallas kicker here and getting Brandon Aubrey.
51:36>> Um it's not ideal, but I think he can be an edge pick. Uh es maybe a little early for me, but if he fell another round, I
51:44think drafting the kicker one, um it's not the worst strategy. I think if you can get a huge edge at kicker or at
51:51defense, it also if you're drafting a ton of these teams, you don't have to deal with it on the waiver wire, which
51:57is nice. Um, so I I'm okay with it. It doesn't have to be like every draft, but mixing in some Brandon Aubber is not
52:04going to kill you. Hey, Greg, I'll give you another commercial for one of your products, the auction draft list. I'm gonna get Matt uh K all excited here.
52:10Matt, I know you love the auction. First of all, how many NFC auction drafts do you typically do in a season? So, uh,
52:17I'll do the, uh, the live drafts in Vegas. So, my entire Friday, I'm doing four, uh, live drafts on Friday. And I
52:24will tell you that turns into a long day. And then I'm probably do, we'll say, four or five practice drafts. The
52:31the 150s or the 250s. They're online product for auctions is phenomenal.
52:37>> So, that thing is is is a great way to practice if you like auctions or you want to see if you like auctions. But
52:42then I go do the live stuff. And there's nothing like being in a room full of guys who all spent, you know, 1,600,
52:48$2,500 to be in a room to do a live auction. It's pretty cool.
52:52>> So, Greg, down in um in Canton at the Fantasy Football Expo, Matt only told me that 75 times. [laughter] >> Well, it's like Friday is our auction
53:02day and so we have them at 10:00 a.m., 1 p.m., 400 pm, 7 p.m. And some guys do all four of them like Matt does. And
53:08>> all of them >> Brady Taker is the auctioneer and it doesn't get any better than that. Uh Kevin's going you have the live
53:15auctioneer. We had that down in Canton and I found it very annoying. I I everyone else loved it. Everyone else loved it except for me. But I mean Theo,
53:22that sounds about right, right? Like I don't want to go.
53:26>> Yeah. I mean come on now. I I >> Yeah. And and that auction took like like 3 hours down in uh Canton. So shout
53:33out to to uh Ian Hardit. He was in that draft and I was like, "How was everything uh down in Canton?" He's
53:39like, "Oh, it was great. The auction took three and a half hours." I'll say that uh I like I like the I I don't
53:45draft the NFC auctions. I know Nelson does as well. Uh Nelson's in those streets. Dan Williamson does a bunch of them. But I'll usually watch the the the
53:55super auction in New York just to just to kind of get a read on some of the guys I'm drafting against that night.
54:00And I just love seeing it. I know you have some of the really high stakes ones, Greg. Um I mean auction drafts are
54:07you gota it's it's a tough putt I think to draft an auction and then have to do a bunch of reddrafts after right
54:13>> um I don't know that sort of shuts down my brain >> right it drain Oh by the way Deshan Stribbling round 12 guys to uh
54:20>> I was I was I had him in the queue um stribbling's going to move up and up and up. Um, and I think he's got tons of
54:26contingent upside now cuz Evans is older, KD is coming off the Achilles, and now you've got Ricky Persol who Nelson, I think he's got to just be
54:34crossed off the list and not even in consideration now with that injury run out. What about you?
54:39>> Yeah. No, he he's got to be a guy that I'm I'm taking probably like 15th round.
54:44>> Yeah.
54:44>> Because at that point, like it's it's whatever. If if he has surgery tomorrow and he's out for the year, >> you know, you cut your 15th round pick
54:52all day long. No big deal. Nelson OTC right now.
54:55>> Yeah.
54:55>> Um, and Theo, you think Nelson was disturbed by my critique of his amazing podcast or do you think that that was a
55:02fair public criticism?
55:03>> Did you Did you Did you say that to like throw him off or something? Like I don't know.
55:07>> It's like Larry Bird talking, you know, smack during the game. But I do love Nelson's podcast. I like when there's
55:13>> Yeah. It's like there's one flash. It looks like a ghost story. It's like a flashlight under his chin and he's
55:18>> Listen, I'm I'm very comfortable in my skin that I I I don't mind the critique.
55:23It's never gonna throw me off of a draft.
55:25>> Yeah, that's true.
55:25>> You know, this is like my I want to say this is like my 75th uh OC >> so far this year. So, you know, I I
55:34could do this blindfolded at this point.
55:37Allan Allan could throw whatever uh remarks he wants at me.
55:43>> Um shout out to shout out to Robert Goldman in the chat who was in that OC against Dave Klug and I uh said he had
55:49taken uh taken Mahomes on there. Um, I I'll also say just to for Fantasy Empire, Dan Williamson came on my show
55:57here. You can watch it right here if you're watching the YouTube stream. Uh, and dropped auction strategy. Dan's a phenomenal auction player. Gave a lot of
56:04fantastic tips there. And then Nelson also came on my podcast, was one of my first guests here at Rotoire. I'm sure
56:10I'll have Nelson back on again. That show was that show was absolute fire.
56:14Uh, Nelson does his targets and fades, which are sort of legendary, and he revealed a couple of them on the show.
56:20So yeah, man. Nelson not crushing on that show.
56:23>> Yep. I had fun.
56:26>> Hey guys, Alvin Chimera, I just took him. I mean, it's I don't know if Alvin Chamar is a good pick, but all the Alvin
56:33Chimera um propaganda certainly can't be good for uh ETN, Ham, whatever we're calling right now. Uh so Nelson, where are you at on that on the Saints
56:43backfield?
56:44>> I mean, the Chimera pick uh for you is pretty much right on brand, Allan. He's a old washed up guy. So, [laughter]
56:51>> love it. Love it. Let him have it. Let him have it. Nelson.
56:55>> Fair enough. Fair enough. Fair enough. I asked for that. I asked for that. I'm goofing on Greg. I'm goofing on Nelson.
57:01Theo, you're next. And you know, Matt, I I I rode them all weekend as far as Oh, actually, I don't want to talk about my
57:07personal life, but >> There you go. Let's just say we had a few adult beverages together, right?
57:11>> That's right. There you go.
57:12>> There you go. You got to do something in Canton, right, guys?
57:14>> Oh, wait. I'm on the clock again. That might be the only thing to do in Canton, Ohio.
57:18>> Here, I'll talk a little bit about the auctions. The interesting thing about auctions is you have $200 for 12 guys,
57:24right? And the two running backs are going for around 58, 59, sometimes $60.
57:29So, the guy who gets Gibbs with the one pick in a draft, well, that's easy enough, right? But the one pick, $60 in
57:37an auction leaves you $140 for 19 guys left. So, that's the difference between the auctions and the drafts. And it's very strategic on how you build your
57:47team because >> $200 is $200 for all 12 teams. They're all equal.
57:52>> Yep.
57:52>> Yeah. And you got to be really good at managing your money. You got to be able to pivot on the fly and there'll be
57:58times where guys become available that you didn't think were going to be there and you spend a little bit more money
58:03because they're available and now you don't have a lot of money left for other positions and you got to figure it out.
58:09>> And that's what makes an auction so great. And everyone's different. Every single auction I do is different. Some everyone goes all in really early and
58:17some everyone kind of sits on their hands and you never know what you're going to get until you get in the room.
58:22>> And it only takes two guys to have too much money like right you can wait and say man the wide receivers are going
58:28very high. I'm laying low for a little bit but all of a sudden if two of you have too much money with the second tier
58:34guys then those go for way too much. And so it's very very tough. But I am seeing the wide receivers, you know, going a
58:42little bit more than our average auction values are right now.
58:45>> For those we're getting real quick, Theo, we're getting people coming in and out asking the same question. Uh in stream, uh Theo is team 12, Nelson is
58:54team four. Matt Korn, who just joined us, is team six, and I am team two. And everyone else did not want their team
59:02revealed again. Allan is team two, Nelson team four, Matt team six, and uh Theo team 12. Go ahead, Theo.
59:10>> You outed Duke Viveros for the early uh watch viewers. So >> team hen hen.
59:15>> Yeah. Yeah, it rhymes it rhymes with hen. Sorry, Duke.
59:18>> Um but I will say can we give a Nelson like in a very sneaky very sharp sharp move just added a little bit more Dallas
59:26correlation. He's got the Dak Prescott adds Ryan Florenoi and Jaden Blue. I like that Nelson. I was I was uh sharp.
59:33>> Yeah. The thing I give you actually Theo, you felt the heat a little bit the other night. Uh when you're doing a
59:38draft, but Nelson, he's able to draft and stream at the same time. You get there after you do a couple. Theo, I
59:44still have an issue doing it. I panic because I forget that. Um I could do one or the other. Can't do them both. So, I
59:51give Nelson credit there. Theo, the other day, you got a little flumxed. I saw you.
59:54>> It was I tilted. But I I I uh I autoed, but I autoed to Brandon Aubrey and I got Brandon Aubrey
60:00behind ADP. So, it was it was a you know, people were giving me crap about the auto, but I autoed it. It was not
60:06like I autoed to a poor selection in my opinion.
60:08>> I feel like I failed. Um Matt, this is uh you don't you don't stream a lot, right? Actually, you do stream a lot
60:14because my my video is terrible.
60:16>> Yeah, it's I mean, it's the vertical is just throwing me off there.
60:18>> I know you're sideways.
60:22I use my computer. It doesn't work, you know. Is that better?
60:27>> There you go. Much better how this works, too.
60:29>> There we go. Is that better?
60:31>> That's better.
60:32>> I mean, it makes me feel more comfortable.
60:33>> Yeah. Hey, you you know, you asked me early on what uh what the biggest mistake I made is as I watch this draft.
60:40>> Uh I went heavy running back early on purpose, >> but I got my fourth running back. Uh >> yeah, I got my fourth running back
60:50>> and I'm looking back at it. I'm kind of thinking, you know, in the seventh or eighth round and I'm think looking at
60:55all these running backs that are available in these late rounds. Yeah, there is so much gold in these late rounds and running backs of guys where
61:02if the starter gets hurt or if the starter can't perform, there are so many guys who have a chance to be the real
61:09deal here. And and the other thing that why going receiver early like Nelson did here is probably the way the professional guys do it a lot of times
61:16here is because those early wide receivers, you're going to be convicted to play them even through bad weeks.
61:22When George Pickkins, just say for example, has two bad weeks, Nelson's not even going to think twice about, you know, he's going to start him. Whereas,
61:29if you go running back early and you have someone like Parker Washington like I do in the six, if he goes three for 35
61:34and four for 26, I'm having a real problem and I'm gonna put him on my bench and Theo, what's going to happen
61:40the minute I put Parker Washington on my bench?
61:42>> Yeah, he's going to score 25 points.
61:44It's the the Allen Syslowski corollary.
61:47>> So, that's the reason in these three in the PPR with three receivers and a flex.
61:53It is a very sound strategy to go receiver early just for the conviction on these guys.
61:59Yes. So, we see uh team seven with three tight ends.
62:03>> Yeah.
62:04>> Well, that doesn't break the record. I saw Greg, you do a live stream with Jeff Ericson and uh Liss and a team what took
62:09like six tight ends or something.
62:11>> That was an auto. Yep. That was a wild.
62:12>> That was auto. It was auto. I thought I thought that was a new strategy.
62:15>> No, it's not a new strategy.
62:17>> Hero tight end.
62:18>> Yeah.
62:18>> Yeah.
62:21>> Nice.
62:22>> Yeah. So, I uh I took I I got a couple of I like the way the last couple rounds have gone for me. I think the Bsby one,
62:28um, I've been drafting him. I think that's like, uh, you know, you talk about these running backs in this range.
62:34Bsby, I think underrated as just a high high upside handcuff behind Saquin. If if Saquin even missed like four games, I
62:43think Bsby would be the kind of guy that we'd have to rank like top 12 on the week based on that offensive line, that
62:49offensive ecosystem. So, he's strong.
62:51And then I added Baker for the uh little correlation with uh Amecha Ibuka.
62:56>> Yeah, I love the Bsby pick. That's what you know, I was looking at all these running backs and I'm thinking I mean
63:01there's a bunch of guys that are like Bsby sitting out there right now and I'm thinking they're they're just one minor
63:08injury away from being a top 12 guy.
63:10>> 100%.
63:11>> For that reason, I'm almost forced to take Brian Robinson.
63:14>> Yeah, Robinson is one of them. Yeah, he's absolutely one of them.
63:17>> Yeah.
63:18>> Marshon Lloyd's one of them as well. I like it, Nelson. I'm telling you. I mean, uh, if he can stay healthy, he is
63:25the backup there. And who knows if Jacobs is even going to be ready at for week one. I mean, >> I mean, is he is he the backup, though?
63:32>> He is. I mean, Chris Brooks is the only other guy they have. I mean, >> no, no, I'm talking about him and
63:36Jacobs.
63:37>> Oh, [laughter] Chris Brooks. Come on. I'm talking about I I actually think that there's a possibility that they form a committee
63:47>> and Jacobs is sees a lot less touches than he has the last couple years.
63:52>> Jordan Love just said it yesterday. We need Lloyd to stay healthy. He is the difference maker. I mean, he's a home
63:57run hitter. Jacob's not a home run hitter, although he's perfect for what the Packers need, but Lloyd, but he's got to stay healthy. And again, he went
64:04to WMadison. They checked out why he was had these soft tissue issues. Same thing that Watson did last year. He went to
64:11WMadison. They figured out why he was having all these injuries. Doesn't mean he can't get hurt again, but they certainly have done things to try and
64:19keep him healthy. And >> right right down the street through three. He's made it through three practices, so that's a good start.
64:26>> Yeah. Yeah.
64:26>> Shout out to WMadison. Right down the street is Rotoire headquarters.
64:30>> That's right. True.
64:31>> In Madison, >> I've been drafting Lloyd since he came out of college. And uh >> yeah, >> he he doesn't make it out of the
64:37preseason every year. So, >> no, I know, right?
64:40>> We got a few more weeks to go.
64:43>> He got hurt on a swing pass against Indianapolis in the preseason last year and how was it?
64:48>> I mean, what's the difference between Marshon Lloyd and Jonathan Brooks, right? Like, I mean, I know you got him.
64:52You No, I'm saying Marshian Lloyd's kind of the same thing, right? I mean, >> yeah, but we're not going to we're not
64:56going to we don't need to insult Jonathan Brooks here.
64:59>> That wasn't insult. I'm just saying is that you get the value of that of that type of player at the at 12th round
65:06versus having to pay up for Brooks.
65:08That's all.
65:09>> Listen, I Marshon Lloyd, I've been I I couldn't even tell you how much dynasty exposure I still have to Marshon Lloyd.
65:16Like I we've been burning a candle for Marshon Lloyd for years. And he's such an explosive player. His story is is
65:22phenomenal. Even if you go back to like high school where he was living in Delaware and he would commute to Damatha
65:30Catholic in Hyetszville, Maryland every day just to go play at like one of the best high school programs in the country. the guy's just built for this
65:38and it's been completely unfortunate. Uh he tore up the NFL combine, tore up the Senior Bowl, gets third round draft capital, and then just hasn't been
65:46healthy. Maybe that's an a storyline arc for the year. Uh Nelson, that we have Jonathan Brooks and Marshon Lloyd both be fantasy relevant after like such poor
65:56injury rollouts. Um I don't know. We're still >> you get it's the same type of story, but you get one in the 12th round. The other
66:03one is a trendy pick that you have to pay up for. So, I don't I don't dislike it. Hey, Nelson. Um, when you take the
66:08Patriots right here, do you like the defense? Because I haven't looked at the matchups yet. Or is it more of like a
66:13early schedule se uh matchups uh play for you?
66:16>> Yeah. So, the long story short, I'll try to make it short. What I found uh I actually started this like three I
66:26probably started like three years ago where I take kind of like what you would call like a premium uh defense. And what
66:33I found was I charted one year uh how much money I was spending in FAB for streaming defenses and it was close to
66:42$300 in fab.
66:44>> And I'm sitting there and I'm like that's that's literally like you're firing on like a legit player or a couple of guys during the season and I'm
66:54spending it on defense. So, I've made it a point ever since then to draft like what I think on paper is a very good
67:02defense that could potentially I I also they need to be a good offense because I'm looking at it as in the second half
67:09of games that defense is pinning their ears back because the other team is passing the ball. So, there's strip sacks, uh, interceptions, you know, pick
67:21sixes, things like that. Um, so that that's been more of a focus of mine and why I'm taking the defense. I am a
67:28Patriots fan, so we could call it a little bit of a homer pick, but it was just a couple of years ago, if you guys
67:35remember, the Patriots defense was like a legit like wide receiver one, wide receiver two at one point where they were they were putting up like big
67:44scores here in the NFC.
67:47>> Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely.
67:48>> Yeah. I like the idea that you calculated that you're spending 30% of your budget on defense is right. Like that is the difference between getting
67:55the hot running back that people are a little because we all know this, right, Greg? Like there's going to be a player
68:00that nobody drafts that is probably going to be the hot waiverwire pickup in the first two weeks of the season. It
68:06happens every year. It's Puka. Actually, Puka was getting drafted, but if he drafted in June, maybe not, right?
68:12>> Yeah, he wasn't being drafted in June.
68:13You're right. Like in August, he was.
68:15But, uh, yeah, I mean, Fab has been kind of weak the last couple of years, I think Nelson and Theo can say, but
68:22there's always somebody out there that helps you. Certainly in weeks one and two when you're drafting in July, uh, you may need to pick up somebody. So,
68:28uh, Nelson, I think, is that's a great great point what he said. A lot of people do love the stream defenses,
68:35right? And they look for the week one matchup, cut them after week one. But uh like for Nelson who's got multiple
68:42teams, man, if you can hit on a defense and be happy with that the rest of the year or most of the year, sure saves you
68:48a lot of time and fab.
68:49>> I think that's also the defense or the kicker. This more applies to kicker. The premium kicker when they have the late
68:54buy. That's why Aubrey once again is a nice pick because he's week 14 buy. You know, whether you're in it or out of it
68:59when the premium kicker has the week four buy or whatever it is, it's a little bit more risky. Uh you were just
69:05talking about fab though, Matt K. What's uh what's your fab strategy when when the hot guy sort of pops up week one?
69:12You uh >> so what I do is, you know, if you look at my roster, I structure the roster so that I'm I'm trying to find as many
69:20upside guys because I feel like I can get a 10point uh wide receiver off the waiver wire on any given week, but I
69:28can't get a 10-point uh running back any given week. So, I'm always trying to look, hey, I'm going to try to get the
69:35guys who might catch fire and chances are I mean, how often does a puka nua end up on the waiver wire, right? I
69:42mean, that happened a couple years ago.
69:44Hasn't happened since. Um, it's just not, you know, you're not chances are you're not going to find your leak winter off your waiver wire, but you're
69:52going to plug a hole that you need. So, get uh get your studs. You're going to have holes. Figure out where your holes
69:58are and plug them with the waiver wire.
70:00I'm pretty good with the waiver wire.
70:02So, I'm usually a week or two ahead of most people because I'm looking at the data to see who do I think is going to
70:08go nuts in a couple weeks, not just this week. Never go chase the guy that got the points last week. It's just not my
70:14style.
70:15>> All right. Yeah. Uh Greg, talk a little bit about that. You said that you guys have a new system. I saw the newsletter
70:20for a fab. So, if people are complaining fab takes too much time, what did you what did you guys And I always think
70:25your fab system is the best. It's very easy to use. But what did you guys change this year that's going to help
70:30out the players that do a lot of leagues?
70:31>> Yeah, I think our fab is very good, but Nelson pointed out we did not have a global uh bid list, which is where you
70:38could create one list of all the available uh free agents in all of your online championship leagues. So, you just hit this uh multi-league fab
70:47button. You add a whole list in there, and it'll look over all of your teams in the online championship. You can do the
70:54same thing in the prime time and it'll check all the available free agents.
70:57Then you just add that one list to every single team and it'll tell you which leagues they're that player is available
71:04in all of those players. Nelson helped us. Uh Chad wanted this. Other people with FFWC had it and we did not have it.
71:11So while I thought our FAB was the best, we did not have this global bid list that we now have and it's available on
71:18your team pages right now. You can do it. So Nelson Nelson met with our IT group and uh >> John was very very receptive to doing
71:27this and basically did it in a week. So if you have multiple teams in multiple contests this year, this is going to
71:33save you hours and hours, right Nelson?
71:35I mean you're the one who brought this to us.
71:37>> Yeah. I mean I looked at it from my perspective. So, you know, it's it's a little bit opinionated, but I I do think
71:45that it works for any high volume player that um I just found it that it's going to streamline uh my fab tremendously
71:55where I can get through every team. And I charted it out last year because I was actually partners with Chad Schroeder
72:02last year and we had like over 400 teams. And so, you know, come Wednesday, FAB was, you know, it it was work and
72:12you need about two and a half minutes a team to get through >> and that initial bid list like just it
72:20needs to be there. Like you can't go into each each individual team and build it. um that just takes too much time. If
72:27if you got like a handful of teams, sure, you you can do that, but not not when you're in the hundreds.
72:32>> Question when you got that many teams because, you know, I'll go in, I'll probably have 20 teams and then there's
72:38that moment at 10 o'clock at night where you go, [ __ ] did I put the right guy's name in there? Did I drop one of my best
72:46players? And you know that that feeling you get on your spine like you may have just dropped one of your studs by
72:51accident. Do you ever get that when you have that many teams to think maybe you fat fingered somebody and you got to go
72:57back and double check?
72:58>> It's a good question there.
72:59>> Yeah. So, that's a good question. So, that is going to happen with that many teams, you're going to have that happen
73:05once or twice during the year. And what's great about NFC and and Greg and and the guys is that if you can pick up
73:14on it as quickly as possible, they will reverse it. if it was, you know, a legit player that you dropped by that it
73:22obviously was by accident, >> right? Like if you dropped Bejon instead of Brian Robinson or something.
73:27>> Yeah, that that would be an example where I I'm sure your league mates, the guy with the most money would be like,
73:33you know, nope, Bejian's got to stay.
73:36He's got to stay a free agent. But, you know, NFC does the logical thing.
73:41>> Uh there was a question that I think is a good one, and Greg, you can kind of talk about it. We we won't put the the
73:46YouTube uh person's name. Well, we could take it off, Alan. It's a It's a fun It's a fun YouTube name. Not necessarily
73:51something we want to read on the huge podcast.
73:54>> Huge. What does that mean? What's the inference there?
73:57>> So, the first fab is we moved it up to Tuesday, September 8th, because there's a Wednesday night game and a Thursday
74:04night game and we did not want people having to watch the Wednesday night game. There's one injury or one breakout guy and you have to run to your room and
74:12do all that. So, the first FAB is Tuesday, September 8th at 10 p.m.
74:17Eastern. Then it'll be Wednesday and Saturday every week after that uh at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
74:23>> And Greg, I'm in that prime time draft that Wednesday night in uh in Vegas. Is that during the game or is that right
74:29before the game?
74:29>> So, there's two things. There's one that we put at 7:00 and that was before we knew that it was a Wednesday night game
74:35and it's still filled up. But, I did create a 9:00 one. So, trust me, if everybody in the 7:00 wants to move to
74:429ine, we'll do it after the game.
74:43Otherwise, we're drafting that uh during the game. It probably be like halftime of that game.
74:49>> That that'll be a lot of fun for sure. I always love that opener uh in in Vegas where we get that that nighttime draft.
74:54That's always a lot of fun.
74:55>> Yeah, the Wednesday night is fun when everyone comes in from the East Coast.
74:58They're kind of tired. Everyone's fired up. We have two or three leagues going in an open ballroom. And then NFL did
75:03Wednesday night. I knew they couldn't do the Friday night game this year because of this antirust and all. uh second Friday of the of the September. I didn't
75:12think they'd go Wednesday to be truthful, but now I didn't think they'd go Christmas Eve. I didn't think they'd go Thanksgiving eve. So, uh who knows?
75:19We're going to have games every night of the week, I think, with the NFL being >> But Thanksgiving eve one is asinine.
75:24>> That is that is and and we're not changing the fab for that week. I know people asked about it, but I mean, we
75:30just can't try and keep track. People wouldn't know which Tuesday we are, which Wednesday we are. So, there will be fab on that night. M okay. So you but
75:39you won't be able to pick up the guys obviously. They'll be right because it's there's a there's a Oh, I see what
75:44you're saying because >> Yeah. Right.
75:46>> The fab will run dirt while the game's going on, >> right?
75:49>> Okay, that makes sense.
75:51>> Uh >> hey, do we hit a thousand people on this thing?
75:53>> Yeah. Yeah, we're we're at a 109.
75:55>> We're not messing around. We're not messing around on this YouTube channel.
75:58If you're new to the channel, do us a favor. Hit the subscribe button. If you're listening on the podcast, hit the
76:04subscribe button. Uh we've been growing every week and we get a lot of like super sharp people in the chats here on
76:12every show we're doing. So >> we get a lot of idiot we get a lot of idiots too. So >> well on Allen streams on Allen streams
76:18on my streams everybody's all sharp.
76:20>> So Nelson >> you know what this tells me 109 it tells me that across America very little work is being done. [laughter]
76:27Well, Nelson, they say on the day of the NCAA tournament, almost no work gets done. Like in no offices, right?
76:33Everyone's just kind of watching on their uh on their >> Let me point one thing out. Uh this is 20 rounds, 12 teams, and you're going to
76:40be done in less than an hour and 15 minutes. I mean, this is a sharp sharp group, but this is what happens. Uh guys
76:45know what they're doing, and these go pretty quick.
76:48>> This is as quick a draft as I've been in a very long time. This is awesome.
76:51>> Yeah.
76:51>> Yep. See, Matt, I told you when you were uh you were uncertain. Actually, you know what? You weren't uncertain when I
76:55told you that. No.
76:57>> Yeah, it's true. You uh uh Matt was I don't know if he you know we were having a good time. We were drinking but Matt
77:03was uh yelling and critiquing certain podcasters very loudly. I had to pretend I wasn't with him for a second. I didn't
77:09want to be associated when he was yelling about certain people. That's why I liked you Matt. You're very opinionated. I was like shut up you
77:14know. So, >> well, and it's funny because again, we're not going to mention the name, but that individual did the uh the option
77:20with us and uh did not seem to get a uh first or second round pick and got on the radio and talked about how much he
77:27likes his team.
77:29>> I've never liked a a draft I've ever done where I didn't draft a first or second round pick.
77:33>> Y um yeah, I mean that in auction, that's the whole idea, especially how many you got in Greg, in your auction
77:39format, how many starters do you have?
77:40Is it nine?
77:41>> Same thing. Oh, it's 10 starters. Okay.
77:44So, it's three receivers and a flex still and kicker and defense.
77:47>> Yep.
77:48>> Okay. Very good.
77:49>> And I'll tell you the one thing where people don't think about at the end is there are startable $1 players. There
77:55really are. And so the guys that bid a little heavy early, you know, kind of frontload their team. You get to the end
78:02and you're thinking, I'm getting scrubs at at at a dollar, but typically those dollar players are your 10th and 11th round players. And I promise you,
78:10they're starters in the 10th and 11th round.
78:12>> Yep. All right, guys. So, we're we just finished up the we're coming All right, draft is complete. Um, we still have a
78:17thousand people here. So, what we're going to do is again, no obligation to hang out, but I would love for you all
78:21to stay. And what we're going to do is go one by one here, and you're going to tell me the best pick on the board.
78:27Doesn't have to be yours. What you think is the least valuable pick on the board, a board, a pick that you think somebody
78:32probably regretted. And then you're going to tell, you're going to give your own team a grade A through F. Okay. So,
78:39we're going to do you're going to say the best pick on the board, the worst pick on the board. You could say the you
78:43know the the one that somebody wishes they had back and then a grade. So, we'll start with Nelson. You're looking at the whole board right here, which we
78:51could see the first like 15 rounds. What was the best pick on the board in your opinion?
78:57I'm I'm gonna say so I've done a lot of these so I have a pretty good feel for where players go in the draft
79:04>> and I'm gonna say me getting Godwin was a pretty >> team team four.
79:11>> Yeah. So I think that was a pretty good price to get Godwin there in the eighth round. He he doesn't usually go there.
79:17He goes a little bit earlier. Um >> Okay. So now you have to do the dreaded what was the worst pick on uh besides
79:24Theo's whole draft? What? What? Uh, >> come on now. Come on. My I [laughter] ran pure on a couple of these picks.
79:29>> So, in all honesty, Nelson, which pick?
79:31And again, my team, Team Two, had a bunch of them, so feel free to pick on me here. Um, >> no, no. I'm going to pick on myself and
79:38Theo because even though I like these players, Drake May and Tyler Warren >> based on where tight ends and quarterbacks win in this draft, if if I
79:49could have it back, that's a possibility where I think Theo would maybe agree with me that he would have pushed QB
79:56back uh a few more rounds based on where some of these quarterbacks went.
80:00>> Can you guys see the the pointer that I'm doing here? You see that?
80:03>> Yes. He's circling my Drake May pick.
80:05Yeah, I agree with you, Nelson. I think you you nailed it.
80:07>> I love Drake May. So, but I'm just saying for this draft, in hindsight, you know, I think Theo would have liked to
80:15have that one back.
80:16>> All right, K, you're up. And then Theo's after him, then Greg, and then myself.
80:20So, go ahead.
80:21>> And you know me, I I I'm not short on words. So, uh I think the best pick, and I'll actually give it as a combo, is
80:27team three going uh Bree Hall and Quinc Judkins uh back to back four and five. I thought that was to start with three
80:35wide receivers and then get those two running backs. I thought that was phenomenal.
80:38>> That's that's very sharp that you pointed that out. I almost took uh Bree Hall in round three. I mean, you know,
80:43but I couldn't Yeah, >> I thought that that the way that team kind of came together was perfect. The other thing I'll say is, and I mentioned
80:50it earlier, I mean, you go to team four and you see Marshon Lloyd and Jaden Blue in 12 and 13. I mean, I think those are
80:59great backup running backs that could turn into uh star players on that team.
81:03So, I think that's just I think that's uh those are those are great picks.
81:07>> All right, Theo, it's it's revenge time, baby. Who uh who's your favorite pick?
81:11Oh, wait. Oh, wait. You didn't give us your worst pick yet.
81:13>> My worst pick, I think, was uh Courtland Sutton. Uh there's nothing I like about Courtland Sutton right now.
81:18>> Team six is team in the seventh round.
81:20>> Team 11. Team 11.
81:22>> Been given to me in the top 10 rounds.
81:24>> Okay. Right here. Okay. So you got to call out the round and the team so we know where it is. Okay. All right, Theo,
81:30you are up. Who was the best P? Oh, wait. Give your team a grade. K, your team six.
81:36>> He blacked out.
81:37>> All right, perfect. Nelson, you never gave your team four a grade. Eighth through F.
81:41>> Um I I like my team, so but I'm always hard on myself, so I'm going to say A minus.
81:46>> Oh, I like it. Yeah. Um that Well, I do like your team, too, so it's hard to disagree. Theo, you are up. you see
81:53anything on this board that struck you as wow I wish that was my team?
81:57>> Yeah, I mean I think there's some really like interesting values that fell. I think that the I like the Harold Fannon
82:03junior pick for team 10. I think that ran out pretty pretty well. Um that that's a very good drafter that has done
82:10very well in these formats. Um and I'm not surprised that they got that sort of value and then they were able to get
82:15golden the next pick. So I sort of like that. Um in terms of my team, I I think I'm a I'm like a B+. I like some I like
82:22the way that >> what was the worst pick on the board first.
82:26>> I think I'm going to agree with Nelson that I mean hindsight's 2020 at the time Tyler Warren felt like a really good
82:32value and Drake May felt like a really good value but I think Nelson nailed it where based on where quarterback went.
82:39Um I think Drake May in retrospect I wish I could trade that in for like one of these wide receivers and then I could
82:46have doubletapped quarterback and I think I would have liked the way my team went. Um, and then Nelson on the on the
82:51same argument like Tyler Warren, he's great and it's a great value, but you could have ended up with uh, you know, a tight end that I think you were
83:00into and maybe were able to get like another like would you have liked your team better if you had Bashel Tutin in
83:07there instead of Tyler Warren and then ended up with a different different uh, different tight end. So I think that's sort of
83:13>> yeah the combo Theo that I looked at right away as the draft was unfolding was uh give me trade off Tuton uh Warren
83:21for Tuton right and then I'm high on Isaiah likely and Dalton Concincaid and if you told me I could double tap uh
83:2910-11 turn those two guys I I would have liked that also >> 10-11 is Dak Prescott with Matt Stafford right that's what you're talking about
83:37>> yeah I yeah so if if I had passed on Warren What would have happened was I would have passed on one of those
83:44running backs and just taken a quarterback a little earlier, >> but I would have only taken one and then I would have double tapped likely and
83:52then Concincaid fell to the 11th round.
83:54>> Okay, Theo. U give your team 12. Team 12 is Theo. What's your grade?
83:59>> I'm going to say a B+. I think I'm in contention in this league and I don't think the May pick is going to hurt me.
84:05I have a lot of balance. If Jagarian Price has a good run out, uh that could end up being a really good uh value. I
84:10like the way I was able to build wide receiver depth um with guys like Jaden Reed and and Rasheed Shahed. So I I I
84:17like my team.
84:18>> I gave I think you're at least a top 12 team in this league. Do Theo.
84:22>> Appreciate that. Thank you, [laughter] Alan. Thank you.
84:24>> All right. You're up, man. Who's got Who was the best pick that you saw today?
84:28>> No, no. I love all my children. I don't pick anything. So >> No, you're not I'm not picking teams.
84:32Just pick No.
84:33>> Okay. How about this? What what pick um based on the value just you know anecdotal observation do you think was a
84:38very good value in this draft?
84:40>> I like them all. I'm not going to do any influence at all. I'm just uh >> what do they call it? Greg Switzerland.
84:47>> Yeah, that's right. Man, >> I'm here to help uh promote the NFL and keep growing it. So, >> you're right. Let's bring things
84:53together. Greg, who did you vote for real quick? No, kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm only kidding.
84:57>> Everyone spent 350 bucks. Greg Greg's not about to uh, you know, [ __ ] on anybody. Absolutely. It was a nice
85:04smooth draft. I love the way it goes. We got a thousand people. Hey, there's another one tonight at 8:00 and 10:00
85:10tonight.
85:10>> What's crazy is >> midnight, Greg.
85:12>> And midnight. That's right. I forgot.
85:14So, >> what's crazy, there's more people coming in now that were just sitting here yapping about the draft. So, let's just
85:20do a quick promotion for the NFC. All of us here, we all have one thing in common. We love the NFC, right? So, play
85:26nfc.com. Use code Theo, all caps. Yep.

85:35one right here on this very uh YouTube channel, the Rotoire YouTube channel on August 13th. It's a Thursday. It's a matinea draft, 2 p.m. Eastern. Theo and
85:43Nelson will be doing these all offseason long. So go follow their pages. Nelson, what YouTube channel are you going to be
85:49streaming these drafts on?
85:50>> Uh FTN Fantasy.
85:52>> There you go. And Theoa will be right here on this channel. So, hit that subscribe button, hit the like button,
85:57and I'll very quickly do mine. Um, uh, I'm team two. My favorite pick was probably, man, I I really did not like
86:05my draft. I was half uh half in, half out talking to you guys, but uh I Okay, this is like a bad answer, but I have
86:12Bejian is still as my number one. It's not clear-cut, so to get him at two, but a little bit more down the board, I I
86:17still like Trevor Lawrence as an eighth round pick. My worst pick was in the I I mean I don't think T McMillan is a great
86:24pick in the third round mostly just because of the quarterback. I love the player, hate the situation. So, uh then it just kind of went downhill from there
86:31for me. So, I'm going to give myself a a solid C. And if things turn break my way, we'll be good. All right, let's uh
86:38let's wrap up here. Matt, do you want anyone to follow you? Do you want people to find you on social media?
86:42>> Uh not on social media, but go to my website, dfsdport.com.
86:47Uh we take uh sportsbook data, convert it to fantasy points. Uh really accurate, really interesting way to look at uh data.
86:54>> And what's your home address real quick?
86:55Not just >> Yeah, right. You got my social security number, too.
86:58>> Nelson, um within 30 seconds or less, tell people what you're working on, what you want them to pay attention to.
87:04>> Yeah, so FTN Fantasy, I'm in charge of the high stakes uh subscription package there. Um where I you have 247 access to
87:13me once you access the Discord channel.
87:16uh you can ask me questions during draft drafting season and then once we get into the season we're talking about fab
87:23uh trades, you know, in your leagues, uh lineup, uh starting lineup calls, things like that. Um so it's it's a unique way
87:32um to get advice and everything. Um you know, I'm on there 247. Uh, and I think that, you know, I can help people out,
87:43you know, that are whether they're in their local league and they're super competitive and they're trying to get over the hump and and try to win their
87:51league or if they're in the high stakes streets like Theo says.
87:55>> Yep. Paul Nelson, you know, even though we were having some fun with you today, you know, we're all big fans. We all
88:00watch every show that you do. Theo, wrap us up here. tell us everything you got going on and how people can stay in
88:06touch with your work during this off season into the regular season.
88:10>> Yeah, go check out rotowire.com. Use the code theo20. You're going to get 20% off of any subscription. Uh I'm going to be
88:16doing a ton of content over there all season long in terms of the written side. Um going to do a high stakes
88:22waiverwire throughout the throughout the week. So people who enjoyed that at fantasy points and player profiler brought that over to Rotoire. Have a
88:29bunch of articles dropping in August as well. And if you're a Dynasty manager, doing a huge Dynasty rankings update that should drop right at the beginning
88:36of August, as well as updating my PPR rankings uh routinely every single week.
88:41And then if you're listening on the podcast, really appreciate the support.
88:45Uh we've done a show a day in July and we're going to keep that going in August with some amazing guests just like
88:50Nelson. Just had a a show with JJ Zachary, had Hayden Winks on, had Jacob Gibbs on. Uh we're rolling here. None of
88:58our content is theoretical. Uh here at Rotoire, I'm drafting every single day.
89:03We're out in the streets trying to make money. We want to make money together.
89:06We want to win leagues together. Uh and yeah, go check out NFC. Use the code Theo. Get $25 off. Come draft against
89:12Nelson and I in New York. Come draft against me in Vegas. Greg will uh treat you well and show you a good time for
89:17sure.
89:18>> Yeah, Greg, there's been some complaints that there's not enough uh food in those drafts. Tell >> No, no, no, no. Greg, Greg, I'll say
89:24I'll say this. I've had a a conversation. We're not going to let we're Greg. Greg does a top-notch job.
89:30If you're out in Vegas, they treat you very well in terms of like food and drinks and all that kind of stuff. And
89:35New York City at at Chris Vicaro's spot is amazing, too. So, don't let them don't let them talk trash. Greg Greg's
89:41not here. I'll set the record straight.
89:43The day I retire, that's when the buffets probably go away because they're very expensive. My boss is always like, "What are we feeding these guys buffets
89:50for?" Yeah, we have all food, all drink is just sitting there waiting. Go get whatever you want. It's first class.
89:56Listen, these guys pay a lot of money to come to Vegas and draft. You think I want to nickel and dime them for a beer
90:02or a soda or water or food. So, and like Matt Matt said, he's drafting 10147.
90:10So, he doesn't have time to get food.
90:11So, we have buffets right there. We're at Caesar's Palace the second weekend. I promise you, it's going to be A+ set up
90:18there.
90:19>> All right, guys. And then also, um I'll still be on SiriusXM on Tuesdays 1 to three for the rest of the summer. Uh,
90:25we'll have to have this crew up on there talking about more drafts. All right, everybody. Great job. Really enjoyed hanging out with you and we will see you
90:31on the next live stream.
