0:03drafting an FFPC main event. Theo Ginger Roawire joined today by Scott Barrett of Fantasy Points and Mike Schop of ADP Chasing and WGR. I've done multiple
0:14drafts with Scott. I've done a main event with Mike. We are teaming together chasing a million dollars. The main event's sold out, guys. So, this is I
0:24mean this is a big payday and we're drafting out of the nine spot which I think we're going to love what we're
0:28doing in round one and round two. We met a little bit before the show. Uh Scott, what is this your final draft of of the
0:35season before kickoff?
0:36>> You know, I'm I'm trying to sneak in a big gorilla with Brett um maybe tomorrow or the next day, but uh FFPC won't take
0:44my money right now, so I don't know what's going on with my credit card or their credit card processing. So, we'll
0:49have to see on that. So, we'll see. But, uh, certainly no no main events left.
0:54So, this is going to be a fun and exciting draft.
0:57>> And Mike, I know you drafted a main event with Adam Krauturst, really good high stakes player, and Jared Smalla, who uh is one of the best analysts in in
1:05the game. Uh, Scott and I, I had a chance to podcast with him a bunch of times, and he's just fantastic. How did
1:10you like your team the other night?
1:12>> Uh, very much. We also drafted at the nine or 10 and these things come together pretty smoothly. Although now
1:22that we're at the end of the road here, um there might be some more picks that you might call reaches and I don't
1:30necessarily mind being among those teams that do that at this point because I can think of a couple of players that I
1:38think you guys like a lot that I like a lot that end up going on the other side.
1:43So, um, we'll see what happens when we get there. But I'm just glad for those watching, you see me in between Theo and
1:50Scott. I think that's important.
1:52>> Uh, because these two guys almost come to blows. What's What's Scott? Scott Scott is so interesting. Like, he pushes and pushes and pushes and then he kind
2:00of knows that's enough and he'll say something really nice about the person he's been pushing for the last 30 minutes. It's great. It's You guys are
2:07like a a Hollywood couple. It's I love it. Well, we we we had a lot we're going to have some cool announcements about
2:12some draft stuff we're maybe doing next year between Scott and I, but you know, people thought we were like hating each
2:17other after that first draft. The draft with Abib, we were we were in really really good shape there, I thought. Um,
2:22>> awful team. The YouTube commenters totally had my back that you guys put me in the cuck chair. I was begging for a
2:2820th round pick and you guys wouldn't even give me that. So, it was it was entirely the Abib and Theo show. I had I
2:34had I had one pick and you made me choose between my two darlings. So, we see Christian McCaffrey go with the four
2:40spot, guys. Interesting because we talked about, you know, potentially he's falling. He fell to me at 13 in an NFC draft this past weekend. Um, so I mean,
2:50I think it's it's sort of eye of the beholder with CMC where not practicing, off to the side a little bit. Could mean
2:56absolutely nothing when he goes absolutely bonkers in in that game. Um, we see Jackson Smith and Jigba go off the board at the six. So, James Cook at
3:05the seven. We talked about him as a potential riser. We are one pick away here, guys. Let's see which way this
3:09goes.
3:11>> Unless the impossible happens. Or maybe that happens a lot. Brock Bowers really falls to the 109.
3:17>> Happens.
3:18>> He does, but not that. Not I mean, I don't know what >> he went 112 in one of these yesterday.
3:24>> Wow.
3:25>> I think it's St. Brown or Bowers.
3:28>> Yeah, I was going to say the exact same thing.
3:30>> Yeah, we love We love Alman Ross St.
3:32Brown. I think Alman Ross St. Brown's a really good one. And Scott, what's interesting? I'll tell you an interesting one, Scott. in those I was
3:36in the NFC live drafts uh in New York City. A lot of people pushing Aman on Raw like ahead of Puka. Oh my god. And
3:44there we go. So Scott, I'll just say one thing. Mike, this doesn't affect you here, but I'm on Raw. Scott, we have on
3:49the other main event, one of the main event teams we did. So this is we have two Aman Ross St. Brown. So um I'm I'm
3:54good on the Sun Guide here. Mike, which way do you want to go with this pick >> there? I want to do that.
3:59>> And Scott, you're good. Scott, you're good. Right. Okay.
4:01>> That's a that's an easy pick for me. Uh, I'm not a diversification guy as you know, so I I do not care. He's on our
4:08other team.
4:09>> Yeah, maybe it's his wide receiver one year, guys. Maybe it's his wide receiver one overall.
4:12>> I mean, even if not, he's like at worst wide receiver three every year.
4:16>> The floor is really high. The thing with Bowers is just, and I've got plenty of him. I respect the point about not being
4:24into, you know, you're not doing shares research in your head or whatever. Um, but you know, I' I've heard Scott say
4:31for years about the value of, you know, what tight ends can be in the middle to the bottom of drafts. The one we did
4:39Saturday, our last five picks for were tight ends, I think. You know, the the fact that there are two games on the
4:46Wednesday, Thursday night games this week also a value to that kind of those are more just long shots. But yeah, I I
4:53I didn't want to pick a tight end early tonight for, you know, >> Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. I
4:58think that's the way to go. And I I say it all the time, but like my best teams, my favorite teams, the teams that look
5:03the best to me are the ones that do not take a tight end in the first three rounds. So, I think this was a blessing
5:09in disguise. I think we're going to get a really good team here. I think we're going to get a really good running back
5:13here in round two. The question is, who is that going to be?
5:18>> Well, we are we are two picks away here.
5:21We see the 112 manager go with Kenneth Walker and Omar Hampton running back running back start. We'll see if 11 team
5:2811 a high volume uh manager in FFPC does a lot of these mains and he goes wide receiver wide receiver with Jefferson
5:35Lamb. Uh so we're going to see which way team 10 goes here. But guys I think we have two running backs at the top of the
5:41queue that I'd be very comfortable with.
5:43Maybe three even to discuss.
5:44>> I think we've made for us I think.
5:46>> Okay. So we'll just talk it out live here. We're we'd really like to get an anchor running back. Do you guys want to
5:52go with Devon Achan or Saquon Barkley?
5:55Um, you could sort of talk ourselves into either one here. Mike, your initial lean here.
6:00>> I almost never pick Han. I'm just afraid of their offense, but I've got lots of Barkley. I'd be happy with either.
6:07>> And Scott, your your lean here. I know you're probably Han on this one.
6:11>> Yeah, I just think he's too talented. I think there's nowhere else for the ball to go. Um, so yeah, I I get the
6:18concerns, but uh I I also think like a top three finish is still easily within the range of outcomes.
6:25>> Theo good.
6:26>> Yeah, I I think I think let's go let's go Han. I um I think that we're going to go with Han. Scott and I have been on
6:32this train since I was doing School of Scott with him before I left for Rotoire. I think Achan's very underrated. I did I'm doing a show with
6:39Jacob Gibbs and I went on his channel and I made a big bold prediction for week one. I think Achan's going to go
6:45nuts against the the Raiders and sort of remind people about what a talent he is.
6:49Scott, we we'll know a lot about sort of the checkdowns, the manufactured touches. But when I look at this Miami offense, I I think that they have to
6:56hyper utilize Han. I know Brett Whitefield over on your channel has made some comparisons to like Christian McCaffrey with Carolina, how that
7:05utilization could be with the mobile quarterback. In this case, Malik Willis, in that case, it was Cam Newton. People said Cam Newton wasn't going to check
7:11down when CMC went there. and it's sort of like too big to fail with Devon Han.
7:16And then we see Team 8 go with uh Saquon Barkley. Um my guy Ron Stewart who I think is really good at content. Um did
7:22a podcast with him earlier this year. Um or excuse me, excuse me, earlier this summer. He's in this draft. Let us know
7:28in the chat what team Ron Stewart is. Or Mike, do you know that one?
7:32>> Uh I can look. He's in the the ship chasing family. So I should know more about like his >> he's ship chasing adjacent. I never
7:40knew. They did a we they did a main with him. The first main I think they did this year. I was not in and he was.
7:46>> So he gets Barkley. He gets the Barkley Bowers team next to us. And I'll say that when I podcast with him, he was
7:52huge on Saquon Barkley. I had a Barkley Jefferson team I was telling him about and he thought that that was just this
7:58amazing build. So he gets his guy in Barkley. We get our guy in a Chan.
8:02That's the great thing about these builds is a lot of people, Scott, are going to come in the chat and hate on
8:06the Achan pick. I mean, listen, I I think Hchan is an awesome pick for us here, and we're going to know really
8:12soon. By the end of the month, I think it's going to be apparent that a lot of the Achan full fades across the
8:18industry, there was a little bit too much of it. I think he's kind of too big to fail. Um, we see Coloulston Lovelin
8:24go. There's reports that Roma Dunay missed today. Maybe his week one could be up in up like up in the air. So,
8:32potential that Lovelin and Burden both go a little earlier. Or maybe we see a third round burden in this one.
8:38>> Maybe we do. Maybe we do.
8:39>> That's so stupid. Why are we playing to win week one?
8:42>> I mean, listen, it's uh >> and not the million-dollar grand prize, right?
8:45>> It's the way it's the way it goes sometimes.
8:48>> I think that's like the the the largest edge like right now is just like fading the overreactions. And some of these
8:54guys are like panicking because they realize they don't have any Chuba Hubard shares, so they have to take him two rounds early.
9:02Whatever. Well, we're not playing to win week six at this point.
9:06>> No, we're not. We're not. We are. Uh, that's a great great point, Mike. We'll keep an eye on that with the by-weeks.
9:11I'll say that team six, which is Fortitude. They're in a couple of my dynasty leagues.
9:15>> Theo, by the way.
9:16>> Yeah.
9:16>> Isn't that the all play week usually week six?
9:19>> It was last year. I wonder if it's if it's going to be that that way this year. We'll keep an eye on that one.
9:25>> We'll see. It doesn't really matter, but >> we see team team six with Trey McBride.
9:30There's one week where you you get a win for being in the top half of scoring points that week and a loss for being in
9:37the bottom half where everybody plays everybody. There's no one-on-one matchup because the way the schedule works is 11 opponents 12 weeks.
9:45>> Interesting.
9:46>> Yeah. Another little wrinkle that the FFPC throws at us.
9:51>> Bean Robinson, Nico Collins, then we see Drake London, Jir Gibbs. We'll be interesting to see where Malik Neighbors goes. Scott, before I I guess earlier
9:59today, Darius Sllayton no longer a Giant, he was cut or waved or something.
10:04>> Yeah.
10:04>> Yeah. I mean, I think that's hilarious is like every single year like with five different coaching staffs, it they hate
10:11Darius Sllayton and then he always ends up the team's number three receiver by targets, receiving yards. I feel like that's going to happen again. Like I
10:18know he just got cut, but I week 16 he some somehow he's going to be out there as a starter.
10:26Does it mean anything to anybody else on the Giants?
10:29>> No.
10:29>> No. I don't I mean, I don't think this is really all that surprising. I don't think it's really all that impactful.
10:34You could want to read into it that this is a good sign for Malik Neighbors, but I I kind of just think it was
10:40inevitable.
10:41>> I think it's a I mean, for for the lower for the lower guys, um I think Malachi Fields is going to be on the field a
10:46ton.
10:47>> Yeah. Well, >> yeah. the h the hype and my sources on him are are out of control >> in a positive way or a negative way.
10:55>> Oh yeah, in a in a great way. Um more so than Isaiah likely um at least from the team source that the beat writers are
11:02all over likely, but the they all agree that like he came in and he really has wowed them. Jackson Dart loves him. Uh
11:09they have high hopes for him and this is a prospect you might remember I was I was not high on at all. So
11:15>> there there is real Theo like if they're competent there is real shootout potential in the Giant schedule.
11:22>> Like I >> it's it's the Rams in week two but otherwise it's Dallas, Tennessee, Arizona, Washington, New Orleans their first six games. I mean
11:31>> those could be some >> shootout games if they're good if they hold up.
11:35>> I like fields a lot. I actually have a ton of fields um in baseball and a ton of fields in in these drafts and NFC as
11:41well. How how many leagues are you in this year?
11:45>> I'm in a lot. And what do you work for the IRS? Scott, are you trying to trying to get me in trouble
11:49here? H >> how how many in total? You could count your basketball teams in that. Are we talking about >> Oh my god. You can't if you you don't
11:54count teams. I'll get I'll get you the accurate number. I'm going to have to go through them. I had dynasty cuts
11:59yesterday in FFBC. Made a couple of trades there >> before you get lost in those that count.
12:05What do you want to do here?
12:06>> Well, three picks. I I think that we are looking at I think the the right four guys are in the queue.
12:12>> Any receiver >> um >> of those three >> or >> I put one >> or a tight end >> or a tight end.
12:19>> There's one there's one very interesting tight end. Um but we'll see if he's even there and I I'm a big fan of his. But I
12:27think some of these wide receivers foundationally I think we're like I hate this. I I want to take guys who go in
12:35round four or five in round >> pull them up. You want to pull them up?
12:39>> I feel like tonight's the night.
12:43>> Well, >> waddle 37.
12:45>> One one guy that I'm really hoping is here at at the 309 here. We'll see if if uh >> if Ron takes him at the at the 108
12:54>> and if the dude abides. Scott, that hat, you wore that hat last night. Uh Seager, what is it? I I don't know. I My wife
13:03basically dresses me. She She's obsessed with this brand, Seager. The other one's Willilbo. So, okay.
13:08>> All my hats are Seager and Wilbo. All my shirts are Seager and Wilbo.
13:14>> So, I'm pretty sure that Ron I'm pretty sure Ron is streaming this, too, because it's going to be one of those where he
13:18takes it down to the wire talking it out.
13:20>> So, that's good. Good for us.
13:22>> Um I love play I love player one. I like player two in the queue. I think >> I I might have player three ranked ahead
13:30of player one. I I I think I do.
13:33>> Warren.
13:35>> Yeah, I think Warren would be fine. I >> I feel like if it's Ron, it is. We think um his decision is structural. Like this
13:41is do you want to go Warren or just, you know, one tight end is enough for now.
13:45>> So So Tyler Warren or Z Flowers is a phenomenal pick.
13:50>> Okay. I I think either one of those makes a ton of sense for us. I'm I'm open-minded to both. Uh, I would just
13:56throw out there to you guys looking at team 12 and team 10, do they feel the pressure at wide receiver and is there a
14:02ch and does a team 11 feel the pressure at running back and do we run the risk of Warren coming back to us and take
14:08Flowers?
14:08>> I think that probably cancels each other out.
14:11>> Flowers will be gone. So, >> let's let's take let's take Flowers and hope Warren fall. So, let's go game theory on this and take Flowers.
14:20>> I don't think I don't think we'll get Warren. almost no chance, but fine. I mean, >> yeah, there's there's still Sam Laora,
14:28George KD, >> and there goes Warren. So, I mean, it was it's fine. We we really like the tight ends that are going to be there in
14:34rounds five, round six, and then I think 710 is a sneaky kind of end end of the tight end run. I know there's a couple
14:40tight ends Scott and I like at 710.
14:42>> Um, maybe >> goes to the Taylor team, Theo.
14:46>> Interesting.
14:46>> So, I misread that. They're a big Indianapolis Colts. Push the chips in, but I like that. I like that. Taylor,
14:51Chase Brown, Tyler Warren start. I think it's solid. Um, and we'll see if team 11 has wide receiver, wide receiver. Do
14:57they push a running back in here?
14:58>> Um, we have uh it's a shout out to Darren Armani, Fantasy Mojo. He came on my show and talked about how there's
15:05only 5% of the whole main event field has a zero RB build where they start out with their first running back selection
15:13in round five. So, there are none of them in this draft right now. Um, so the the trend continues, including us. We're
15:21very balanced here. Two wide receivers and Devon Achan. Really dangerous looking build. I think we're opened up to possible correlation with Lamar
15:29Jackson if he falls. And I think there's possible correlation with Jared Goff if we wait. So I like the way this this is
15:35sort of shook out.
15:36>> I I am a I am a partner, but I am also a fan. And not only the Hair Club president, but I'm also a client when it
15:43comes to you two. And I I want to I want to see this thing get heated. like there there there's a guy there's a guy at for
15:50because I'm gonna watch this thing back for you two.
15:53>> Um so anyway, there the names it's about to start, isn't it? It's about it's been very >> No, we've been we've been very cordial.
15:58>> Very calm so far. Very cordial so far and it's a problem. It's your stream, but I feel like it's a little bit of a
16:04problem. It's a little bit of a disappointment.
16:05>> I'm super relaxed tonight. I mean, >> well, the Roto Wire higherups have have censored me. I don't know if you heard
16:11this, but so so if you're wondering why it's it's lukewarm tonight, you know, I could I could turn it up. I just need
16:18that that blessing.
16:19>> We had a cease a cease a cease and desist letter was was sent to Scott Barrett's home before this stream to
16:25keep it keep it civil there. Um, >> in all seriousness, and I I've been such a fan of both of yours for so long, but
16:31I love the Scott effect on Theo, >> which is like, you know, Theo is such a nice guy. He brought us bagels out of
16:37his way. It took an hour drive when I was in Long Island to bring us bagels and he, you know, you show up and he's
16:44like, I mean, what do you what am I the what are you the IRS? I mean, this just starts immediately. Come on.
16:48Like seriously, we talk about each like the amount of teams like we you don't do that live on air. That's a that's a
16:53phone call conversation. Maybe we even go to like a WhatsApp for that conversation to get the [laughter] real number. Um, team 10 has no wide
16:59receiver. See which way they go here.
17:01>> They're going to take one and we're going to take another one.
17:03>> Love our queue here. Love RQ >> Burden.
17:06>> Okay. So for I [clears throat] >> I'll just say for for me >> the lean would be T. Higgins here.
17:13>> Yeah.
17:14>> Me too. Me too, believe it or not.
17:16>> And Mike, do you have uh anyone you want to you want to sort of stump for or I think Washington is fun to talk about,
17:23but I can't I mean it's 10 picks different in ADP. I just feel like Higgins is good value and I'm I'm fine
17:29there. I'm not going to >> There's probably a 20% chance he falls to us. What would you put it at? I would
17:34put it these days >> maybe 15 to 20. I think you're right.
17:39But I think we're >> I'm putting Higgins in.
17:41>> Let's take T. Higgins. I think we all really like the way this start has opened up. And again, you know, we talk
17:45about really good offenses. We have access to the Lions. We have access to the Bengals and we have access to I
17:51think the Baltimore Ravens are going to be a very good offense with Declan Doyle. And then the only bad offense we've we've have exposure to is Devon
17:59Achan's offense where he's going to get I mean Scott I think you know him him leading Miami in in targets and catches
18:06this >> he did it last year over Jaylen Wadd. He leads all running backs and receptions over the last two years combined. I get
18:12the concern with a hyper mobile quarterback not targeting running backs.
18:16The guy there's they have the worst wide receiver room I've ever seen. Like the guy is going to get peppered. I I have I
18:22have full faith in that. The one thing that I think is maybe different this year is that they're likely to be so bad
18:31and it's a first year coach and GM. I mean, last year I think they were kind of playing to win even though they
18:37didn't win and that's that's when you play your best guys and I could see it's kind of to me almost likely that we get
18:44into the fantasy playoffs and Han's like, "Yeah, he's got a you know, he's got a hangail. We're just going to set
18:48him down for next year." They've paid him for the future. That's really a lot of why I've stayed away from him, you
18:53know, just sort of feeling like >> I don't I don't I don't buy into that. I don't >> It just doesn't happen a lot, you know.
18:58>> That's true.
18:59>> It's it's the whole the whole argument with Jeremiah Love, the whole argument with Devon Chan is they're going to be
19:04very cautious with him at the end of the year. The coaches coaching staffs, unless they get a direct message from up
19:09on high, um like this is this is the first year um first year coaching staff in Miami. I don't think they want to try
19:16to I we all think about like the Brian Flores year there where they were supposed to be like no wins and then
19:21they sort of punched above their weight class. Um I think Malik Willis is going to put pressure on some opposing defenses in certain weeks and his
19:27mobility and Devon Achan's talent and then we get the wild card that Chris Bell who I had in my waiverwire article
19:34that's dropping over at Rotoire. Um I think he's a really fun player to stash right now. Scott, I know we took him on
19:39the team with Abib. I think the offense could be not the worst in football and it's basically being priced like it's
19:44the worst in football. So, >> and hey, sometimes we're really long on the wrong on this. Don't forget rookie season CJ Shroud. You know, everyone
19:52full fade on the Texans. Nico Collins was free.
19:55>> CJ Stra was free. Tank Dell was free.
19:56And so, you know, sometimes we're really wrong on on this. And Brett is is really high on Malik Willis talent from a film
20:04perspective. Um, I have a bone to pick with you, Mike. Um, >> yes. Good. Uh, we're on a podcast right now. This isn't the radio. You don't
20:13have to use your fake radio voice. You could just talk normally like >> Let me see if I can if I brought any of
20:19the other voices.
20:20>> You want to try to use like an like an accent? Mike is the best. It's the really the best voice in radio.
20:24>> When we hung out in Vegas, >> he he talks like this. And then whenever I'm on the radio show, hey, I'm I'm Mike
20:32Shop.
20:33>> It's it's auto it's autotune. He's got like >> Is that what it is? Okay. Voice modulator.
20:37>> Right over Right over the microphone.
20:39right over the microphone.
20:40>> I don't know. Sorry.
20:42>> You have like an alltime elite radio voice. I'm in awe of it. It's It's phen You could do voiceover work. You could
20:49be the next Darth Vader. It is so good.
20:51>> It's time for me to start looking into some of that work in in life, isn't it?
20:54Probably.
20:55>> Yeah.
20:55>> I think you could replace um who's the guy who does the UFC voiceovers? He was Hellboy. Ron Pearlman. You're up there.
21:04You're You're up there with Ron Pearlman.
21:05>> Thank you. Wow. Sons of Anarchy. Great show. Great show.
21:08>> Never seen it.
21:09>> Um, okay. So, just a a signal a signal here. If you you never saw Sons of Anarchy, Scott, >> I haven't either. I can't.
21:14>> Oh my god.
21:15>> Mike, you ever see uh you ever watch Frasier?
21:19>> Not really, but I know it.
21:20>> All right. My all-time favorite sitcom, but you you used to do your show or maybe you still do with someone named
21:26Bulldog might show up in the Bulldog.
21:28And uh my favorite character from that show was a Sports Talk radio guy named Bulldog.
21:34>> Who was the actor?
21:35>> Oh, uh I don't know. Not a not a high level actor, but he's fantastic in it.
21:40>> Kelsey Grammer, that's a great voice.
21:42>> Quick quick signal here. Quick signal is Tucker Craft went at the end of round four. Also, Parker Washington, David Montgomery, two of Scott's favorite
21:49players both go at the end of round four. Get a snipe there.
21:53>> Um, so just a just to keep an eye on this tight end run because it's going to start happening. I team three without a
21:58tight end. Team five with a three running back build with Jeremiah Love, Ashton Genty, DeAndre Swift to go with Puka Nakua. a potentially dangerous
22:06start. I like what team six has done with JSN, Trey McBride, Bree Hall, and then Tedoa McMillan. And then team seven, identical build with us, uh,
22:16where he's got three wide receivers and we have three wide receivers, each of us with one running back. Guys, we'll keep
22:21an eye on this tight end run here. We might have to push one up because Sam Leaporta goes at the 501. Uh, so you
22:28know, there's a couple we like here, but we might have to take one in the fifth round and not the sixth round depending
22:34on how these next few picks go. The Tyler Warren team at 10, but no tight end for team 11, no tight end for team
22:4112. They're both very balanced, so you kind of worry about um the the them going bang bang tight ends. Uh Dan
22:48Williamson and Andrew Sheldonberg and I in a main event, we went Leaporta Pitts at that at that 12 spot just because it
22:54was the best values on the board. So, we'll keep an eye on that.
22:57>> And no, and nobody has two.
23:00>> There's no particular pressure put on the room by one team.
23:04>> Um, yeah, I think that's definitely where our head should be.
23:07>> Christian Watson, another player that we all really like and goes at the 502. And then I really like Jameson Williams.
23:13He's coming up. Uh, goes at the 503.
23:17Uh, we're we are sitting here at the 509 waiting for our pick. Patiently, guys.
23:23>> Well, I love our queue right now. We have five Five guys is not the order in which I take them, but uh if we get any of those
23:31guys, I feel amazing.
23:33>> Throw in one. I'm throwing one guy. I threw I threw one guy in the in the six.
23:38Just have that conversation.
23:39>> Just have that conversation.
23:40>> I'm moving them both all the way to the bottom.
23:42>> You can move them to the bottom. Move them to the bottom.
23:44>> Yeah.
23:45>> Um but it's worth a conversation.
23:49>> There are two kinds of people in fantasy football. There are Q guys and there are nonQ guys. I'm definitely in the second
23:55bucket.
23:56>> You're nonq is maniacal though, Mike, because >> I did the bare knuckle in Vegas three years in a row where you do the whole
24:02thing basically.
24:03>> I'm I'm a big Q guy. JFK Jr. is going to come save us. Um I [laughter] wear the tinfoil hat and uh No, I'm just kidding.
24:12>> So, we >> I'm not I'm not that kind of Q guy either. [laughter] >> We are [clears throat] waiting on the
24:17drafter. The drafter who has three running backs. I wonder if they're going to pick a fourth and go with a unique
24:23build here with Puka. Nightmare build for for Mike Schop. I know >> that makes you sick, Mike. A four running backs in the first five rounds
24:30sickens you, huh?
24:31>> Kind of like Yeah.
24:32>> DeAndre Swift is I think a fine pick >> mid to late fourth, but I just >> couldn't breathe if I did that.
24:40>> Yeah. You always wonder sort of you play the two for twos and what do you get end up getting like stuck at both wide
24:46receiver two and tight end? I know Scott, we have that one team where we pushed wide receiver two down and we
24:53actually ran pretty pure with that team where we had Casey Conpsion, Michael Wilson, Stfan Diggs. All three of their ADPs have moved up since we made that
25:01selection and they do in fact go with Terry McLaren so they get a balance there.
25:05>> Quick Scataboo. Yep.
25:07>> Theo, no Josh Allen yet. 507 >> 507 if the James Cook drafter is going to think about it.
25:14>> This could be the This could be the spot. Would we think about it? I would think about it at 509. Um, I did it
25:20once. I have one Josh Allen team and it's in a 350 and I've sort of believing in the, you know, Scott and all these
25:28smart people telling me that I need to wait on quarterback and I've been waiting on quarterback, but waiting on Josh Allen at the 509. And you talk
25:33about week 17 is all that matters in the chat. A little bit of Devon Chan, Josh Allen in week 17 for a million bucks
25:40doesn't sound so bad.
25:41>> Well, week 17 isn't all that matters in this format. It's not 15 through 17. his lowest in in the main event yesterday
25:48was 48 >> 15 drafts.
25:52>> Yeah, I I can't get on board when we got these four guys in the queue who I feel really amazing about. I mean, all the
25:59all our guys are getting sniped, but any one of those three I think is a phenomenal pick. And there might even be
26:05a chance one of these guys makes it back.
26:07>> I I think this is Ron at eight. I I I wouldn't >> This is an extreme ADP follower. like an
26:13extreme.
26:13>> I'm saying Ron's think Ron is thinking about Jaylen Herz in in the in round nine because he's got Devontto Smith and
26:18he's got uh Saquon Barkley. I know he's thinking about Jaylen.
26:21>> He's not going to want to put Allen with Bowers, I think, this early.
26:24>> I don't I think you're right. I mean, >> here's here's the one conversation to have, guys, is if we do take uh Josh
26:34Allen here at the 509 and Ron passes him up, then we're probably looking at either chasing our There he takes Josh
26:41Allen. So, the conversation's over. It would have been a fun one. My My pick here.
26:46>> Wow.
26:46>> My My pick here would be for >> any one of these three. It's fine. I You won't get a fight from me.
26:52>> Uight.
26:54>> No.
26:54>> Yeah. I would say for for me, one of the three tight ends makes a lot of sense.
26:58And I'm going to I'm actually going to stump for I think Pitts or or KD because I want access to I want access to that 49ers offense. And
27:07I also I I like Pitts. So I think Scott Scott doesn't like pits, right?
27:13>> No, I Fannon is gonna blow him out of the water. KD is gonna blow him out of the water.
27:16>> Well, listen, if you want to consider Fannon, I think we we could end up with two tight ends in this run.
27:23>> You want to take Evans here and then hope >> No, I don't want to take Evans. I want to take K I want don't want to mess with
27:28tight end. I want >> My vote is Fannon.
27:31>> That works for me. He's He's cheaper. We have a lot of KD already.
27:34>> So, let's put in Fannon then. I'm okay with it.
27:36>> Family names. My mother >> that compromise from Theo.
27:38>> I Well, listen. I I I have >> things are different when a bee's not here. When a bee's here, you just you
27:42guys just gang up on me. [laughter] >> When Mike's here, you behave.
27:46>> It's it's it's falling in line for us. I think Fannon's interesting because >> it's being an ADP slave and now uh you
27:53don't want to and it's my guy at the top of the queue.
27:55>> Everyone's exhausted at the end of Labor Day weekend and the end of the summer.
27:58Everyone's tired. Everybody's getting along cuz just >> Well, this is the literal best time to draft because like it's Labor Day at
28:06night. Like what if these guys have been in their backyard grilling and drinking beers all day? So like I'm hoping the
28:12competition's late. And I have to say I'm loving this team right now.
28:15>> My guys at Go Bills have one of these at 10. And I can't I got to watch this back. I got to watch Ron Stewart stream.
28:21I got to watch the Go Bills board.
28:23>> I might be up.
28:24>> I hope he's like losing his mind. I hope we've sniped him every single time >> when we come back around.
28:29>> I just think I think the point is really interesting. He might have felt like he had to do it just like we might have
28:33felt like we had to do it >> and we didn't want to do it.
28:36>> There's huge upside. Like imagine his his round 11 running back is like a high-end RB2 and yeah then then and he
28:46finds like another hidden gem wide receiver late he could stick in the flex then yeah he has a huge advantage over
28:52everyone with those as Theo calls them edge picks.
28:56>> I love the term edge pick. It's like one of those things. How do you define it?
28:59you have some theoisms that like I'll point them out on stream. There's >> I had to ask him in the last one we did,
29:05Scott, what that meant, but now I know.
29:07>> You know it when you see it, guys.
29:08That's that's all I got to say. If you draft enough teams, you know what an edge pick is. Uh would have been
29:12interesting to see if Josh Allen fell to us just how that build would have shook out. Um we probably would have
29:17potentially missed out on tight end, but a Josh Allen 509 pick in FFPC it felt. I mean, that would have felt really good.
29:24So, I will say Ron, I think, played it the correct way. I'm sure Scott wouldn't have liked it, but I I I it's one of
29:30those things, Scott, where I had this conversation with Mike Leone, how I feel like I'm potentially missing out on having access to Allen the way I've been
29:39playing quarterback. And I really hope that doesn't come back to bite me because the overall position is getting pushed down so much this year that like
29:48your opportunity cost for taking Allen is like rounds later than it was last year despite him being the QB1 overall.
29:55>> Yeah. Um, I mean like all of our best teams, Theo, we just like super fullon punt the quarterback and it works out
30:03amazingly well for us. Like last year Trevor Lawrence teams, Brock Perie teams, either one of those quarterbacks outscored Josh Allen in the tournament
30:12rounds by like 30 fantasy points. So, um, yeah, I have no problem. I mean, like in in I I've been saying in in uh
30:20the underdog baseball mania, Josh Allen might be the best pick on the board or the most underrated in this format. I
30:27don't think so.
30:28>> Well, we played it correctly going with a tight end. And there, guys, I'm going to say I think that this pick is Raandre
30:34Stevenson. I I know that we don't have the fact that Trayvon sounds like he's not going to play week one.
30:41>> How dare you [ __ ] do this to me? You make me you stick tvon Henderson on all our teams and I'm like I would rather
30:48have Raandre. I give give me and now you want Raandre when I want Mike Evans.
30:53>> I was I was I was fully able to see the future of injuries and it would >> take injury or no injury. He was the
31:00anti-exodia and you stuck him on my team.
31:02>> Listen, we're going to we're going to bookmark this. I'm getting you know it's okay and I will and I want to say I want
31:06to say this. Let's So are you guys good with Mandre here?
31:09>> No, Mike. It's Mike Evans.
31:11>> Mike, where are you at?
31:12>> You you settle it. I'll be happy. Let you use the fair judge.
31:16>> Chop, you make you be the you got to make this pick. 15 seconds. I want Stevenson. Scott wants Evans.
31:23>> Oh, baby.
31:25>> Oh my god.
31:26>> Now we're talking.
31:27>> This is a fun team. It's a dangerous team.
31:30>> I just want to hear you guys fight.
31:31>> I like I like living on the edge. It's a dangerous team, but it's a sexy team.
31:35It's a fun >> I want I want two things. I want to hear you guys argue, and I want to know where
31:39I can get good betting advice. Listen, a quick a quick message, guys, that this show is sponsored by Better. If you

32:06actually very, very cool. I was in there today uh looking at some looking at the the app and the site.
32:11>> How do you how do you spell that?
32:13>> It is it is not spelled the way that you think it is. I will I'm going to send it to you in the chat. It's it's uh it's
32:19bet R. It's not like BR.
32:21>> Yeah. Not like better.
32:23>> Um it's betr.
32:25>> Um so guys, just a a quick a quick note.
32:28Raandre goes one pick later. I I like Evans when he's a wide receiver for more than anything. I have him in some NFC
32:34teams. I don't know. I'm not as I'm not as high as you guys are on Evans.
32:39>> He should have went I like him more than Rasheed Rice. I like him more than Lad Manake. He should have went rounds ago.
32:44So to me that's amazing value. Raandre I love. I caped up for him. Every time I've been on here you wouldn't let me
32:50take him. Uh I think he outscores Trayvon but still if Trayvon stays healthy it's going to be a committee backfield. I don't see you know really
32:58high upside that I think a Jonathan Brooks has. Um maybe a Marshon Lloyd has maybe you know a Blake Cororm. So it's
33:06like I I'm like we are [snorts] freaking stacked everywhere and if we're weak on RB2 I I don't think that's the end of
33:14the world.
33:14>> My uh tiebreaker was mostly about Henderson more than anything else. Like >> yeah what did we say sorry what did we
33:24say earlier? It's like the edge today is to fade the overreactions. And so, yeah, I'll let you get Travon like three, four
33:33rounds later than probably where you made me take him a month ago.
33:37>> Just to relitigate this, we we took him in early July and we took him this was like the end of the fifth round. And it
33:42I will say this, like, let's let's make a let's make a a point here. Scott can bust my chops on this stuff because
33:48Scott and I have multiple FFPC main event teams, but I'm getting strays from like Scott Barrett adjacent people on X right now. And I'm like, if
33:55you guys want to take out your receipts and show me your teams, that's fine. And I'll say another thing to people like
34:00people want to say, "Oh, Theo, you took a Trayvon Henderson on a live stream in the fifth round." Okay, like guys, you
34:07don't lose your team because of a fifth round, a fifth round pick. I won an FFPC made here. Here, guys, this is like sort
34:13of full receipts here. I won an FFPC main event last year, regular season and the playoffs with a Trayvon Henderson at
34:2125 pick because I had JSN right next to him at 24 and I had >> It doesn't make it okay. That doesn't
34:27make it a good pick.
34:28>> But it doesn't make it a good pick. But I'm saying that I I was able to overcome a two-3 turn pick. I think I'm going to
34:33be able to overcome a fifth round pick.
34:34>> Yeah. And last year I won a main event able to overcome having you as a co-manager trying to veto Cam Scataboo,
34:42trying to veto Puka Nua, trying to veto I I had to twist your arm to get you to take Tucker Craft in those in those
34:47leagues too, Scott. If we want to reit healthy, I knew that injury.
34:50>> There we go. Okay. You knew the injuries coming when he was back toback.
34:53>> Now I have to watch last year's structure.
34:55>> Go ahead. But but in all seriousness, we we've won a main event team for multiple years in a row. I hope we win this one
35:01with Mike Schop as well. And it's a great start. We have four wide receivers. We have Harold Fannon Jr. and we have Devon Achan. And I think really
35:08one of the overall arcing scheme uh themes is there's so many hero RB starts in in these main events that I love the
35:16way that these are so much robust RB starts that I love the way these hero RB starts end up looking. I think people
35:23are sort of >> overrating a little bit chasing RB2 up the board in lie of guys like T.
35:28Higgins.
35:29>> So there we go. And Fannon really an interesting value. Uh, Scott, I I heard Brett Wakefield talking about him just
35:36the his yak ability and also as much as we love Casey Conpsion and as much as I really really like Denzel Boston and
35:43Dynasty, it's going to be Fannon with two rookies on the field a lot in the early part portion of the season. So, I
35:50think Fannon getting off to a red-hot start is there. Uh, really an interesting build here so far, guys. I think we're open-minded to different
35:58things here in round seven. I I'll just throw out in round seven >> anything you want.
36:04>> I'm just going to throw out there's there's one obvious correlation play. If he if he's there at the end of the
36:08seventh, it's not time to mess around.
36:10It's time to win a million bucks.
36:11>> Thank you for saying it.
36:12>> Is it is it number seven in the queue?
36:14>> I didn't even look at the queue because I'm assuming Mike already has him in there pretty pretty early. So, I'm I'm
36:20cueless. I'm right now.
36:22>> Just did add a couple names. I should I stay out of there when you guys are talking to >> please there's
36:28>> I mean these were all names that I added so maybe we we're in full agreement but there's a tight end I think Mike is on
36:33that I'm into um there's a running back that I think makes perfect sense for this build and what has happened uh
36:41throughout the off season. Um and then there's another tight end I like and there's another running back I like.
36:47Um, >> player number nine in the queue I I I think is very much in play for chasing it the way that
36:54>> number on the queue >> just added him in the queue.
36:57>> I get a refresh.
36:58>> Let's see which way it goes. We'll see which way it goes. Team Team one takes Daltton Kaid who I think would have been
37:04a really viable pick. A really viable pick for us at the 710.
37:08>> I like it. King Kades fly flew up.
37:10>> Yeah, you know, I I always go on Mike's show and he asked me about Buffalo guys and I just [ __ ] all over all the Buffalo
37:16guys, but but I I I'm I'm really turn uh coming around on concade, especially in this format.
37:21>> I'm I'm uh I'm well loved on on WGR because several years ago >> tell them what they want to hear, Theo.
37:26I tell >> No, no, no, no. Several years ago, Mike, I was Mr. James Cook before the masses came around on him. I remember, and it
37:34wasn't Scott Barrett, but I remember going on some dynasty shows at that time, telling everybody how I drafted all this James Cook, and I had people
37:41literally making fun of me to my face about taking James Cook in le so many leagues over Sky Moore, this locked and
37:48loaded [laughter] value. And all these people were literally like, "How could you do that, Theo? You have to take Sky Moore with
37:54Patrick Mahomes and this James Cook guy.
37:56He's never going to do it." And hey, listen, my James Cook bags have uh made me a lot of money in Dynasty. So,
38:00>> I can't believe what's happened with him the last two years. I mean, he was never even yours, anyone's bet, to literally
38:09lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns.
38:11>> Allen happened anyway, and he still did it.
38:16>> And then last year, he went and led the league in rushing.
38:19>> Like, just how the hell just we always say with these guys, St. Brown at 109, he doesn't have to be here to pay off.
38:27He can be here. And like that's Cook and he was always only supposed to be here, but he he got up he got way up here the
38:34last two years and I still can't draft him. I just feel like it's uh just come on.
38:41>> Well, listen, Mike. I mean, you faded him when he was in round five and round three, >> and now you're fading him in round one.
38:48So, >> it's easier.
38:49>> One of these It's much It's much easier.
38:51Much easier for sure. I I It's another player where I wish I had more access to James Cook. I'm really interested. I
38:57think that first month of the season, his involvement as a receiver out of the backfield, that's sort of like potential cheat code. Could he take his game to
39:04another level? Can he pay off at like the 107? At the 107, you want to see him get in the 50s. You can't have another
39:11year of 30 catches. I feel like he's got to have that room to run and a little bit.
39:16>> I agree. I I don't think he's good at it. I think it's one reason why it hasn't happened. I don't think he's that
39:20good at it. But listen, if I may, just for a second, I' my my entry into this space, as they say, is through my work
39:28in Buffalo. It's where I've made almost most of my life uh and career. But I'm more my biases are more against the
39:36Bills than they are for them. And really, it's you know, think of their history. And my first 20 years on the
39:44air here, they were never good. Mhm.
39:46>> So like I always end up it cooks a player where I always have to re-evaluate my process as they say
39:53because I know that inside me there's like no way no way could that work out.
39:58He plays for the Bills and it's really it's really that more than it is the other way around for me. We are two
40:05picks away here guys. I think our queue looks awesome.
40:08>> I just need to say one thing. I think this entire team hinges on number seven in the queue. I just don't know where to
40:15take him. So you tell me, Theo, we could do whatever else. Now he's six in the queue. Okay. Everything hinges on six.
40:22To me, >> for me, this is a layup pick for us. And I'll say it because Ron's not going to take him.
40:29>> We have to take Lamar Jackson here at the seven at we we passed on Josh Allen at the 509.
40:36>> We're already weak at running back, too.
40:38Let's get great at quarterback and take Lamar. I don't I'm not even a Lamar Jackson guy, but it's a 709, guys.
40:45That's the edge pick staring at us right in the face. Ron wishes he would have waited for quarterback here because he
40:51could, >> you know, right the >> I mean, maybe Ron just just burns one, burns a burns a $2,000 entry to the
40:58ground and takes quarterback quarterback and falls on the grenade for the rest of the league because if we get Lamar Jackson with with Z Flowers here, we get
41:06that correlation, we're we're on easy street here. I mean, I know we've got to catch up at tight end two. We've got to catch up at
41:13running back two in a major way.
41:15>> We got to take Lamar Jackson here, guys.
41:17I got to stump for this one.
41:18>> Scott, that's a pretty big argument he's making. What do you think?
41:20>> Yes.
41:20>> Yeah, I think it's really well argued, but I think taking Jaylen Herz in round nine or betting he's there. I think we
41:26like this team so much more.
41:28>> We have Jaylen Herz in a main event already, we have two, you know, I don't care about that.
41:32>> I know. I listen, I I I got to say, guys, this is I >> Go ahead. Go ahead and conviction pick
41:37here on Lamar at 7 at 709 and then >> we each get one of those.
41:41>> Yes, you it's like phone a friend. You can hit >> Yeah.
41:44>> But when it's round nine and Herz is there. Um >> round 11 and Herz is there.
41:48>> I'm going to ask you.
41:50>> Yeah. Which reality you preferred? Yeah.
41:53>> Well, but I'll say I'll say those like I like the running backs you have in the queue here, but I think every I think
41:59this entire draft hinges on four.
42:03>> I think it all hinges on four. in the queue. The last guy in the queue.
42:07>> So Theo has used his conviction, his edge conviction pick.
42:10>> I think he's >> I have used mine on Scott's player >> Evans.
42:15>> No, no, no. You were You broke You broke a tie there.
42:17>> You broke a tie there. So that wasn't uh Stribbling and Wilson fall there. I mean, listen, we we're >> wide receivers.
42:24>> I would have picked Corm.
42:25>> Still Corm is still a play in play for us.
42:27>> Just went >> Cororm went. Sorry about that. Okay. I would have picked I would have picked Cororm at 79 and then
42:34>> I don't think the move is guaranteed points at the running back position which is how most people would view it.
42:41It's >> upside wins championships. It's swinging for the fences at our position of weakness.
42:48>> You guys both know >> and if Han gets hurt, we we lit this team on fire. It is what it is. We're
42:53playing for a million dollars for first place. We're not playing to make the playoffs. I mean, I don't think I I
42:59think, you know, we're we're going to draft a bunch of running backs. We've got to be committed to running back in
43:03the second half of the draft and really the next couple rounds. So, I I do think that player number two helps us here. If you
43:11want to make the ultimate swing on what's going on, Mike, what's his main event high >> for the last >> Josh Jacobs?
43:20>> All right, we're on the clock.
43:21>> Did he go? Who went?
43:22>> No, I think I think he's probably more 909 for us.
43:25>> He took our boy KC. Okay. I think this is I I personally think this is G Dallas Goddard or I think it's or I
43:33think it's >> well I mean Scott sounds to me on Jacobs the way you sounded on Jackson if not more serious like this this is the spot
43:42>> I love I love Dallas Goddard I just think imagine this team with Josh Jacobs playing in the second half. Okay, just
43:49just to just to to reiterate, we are going to end up we can't breaking ties or we got to go running back over tight
43:55end potentially next round. We can't push running back down because the ninth round and 10th round we really need to look at running backs if we if we go
44:02with this pick >> and we're okay with that. Okay, >> so we're making a big Let's take a >> Jacobs is the pick.
44:09>> Yeah, let's do it. I I did a I did a Jacobs Marshon Lloyd.
44:13>> This is my favorite draft we've done. So we got to Mike, you're the man. Thank you.
44:16>> I have that effect. I have that effect on people.
44:18>> Okay. So, just just looking ahead here, guys. I think that the way we're the way we're looking here, >> um we we're we're quarterback two is not
44:27even relevant. We'll take a quarterback two. We can get Scott Exodia in round 15 or something.
44:32>> And then wide receiver, we're in great shape. We are at running back really hard in rounds 9, 10, 11, 12. There's
44:40also tight end's going to start getting completely ste uh completely steamrololled. So the next turn just as a look ahead is probably running back
44:49running back or running back tight end and then 112 um you're also going to see like the end the bottom of the barrel
44:56wide receivers if one really stands out we'll consider them but the our our build if you're listening on the on the podcast version
45:03and a big shout out we had the most podcast downloads we've ever ever had in August really appreciate everybody supporting the show um if you're
45:11listening on the podcast our team right now is Aman Ross Brown, Devon Achan, Zay Flowers, T. Higgins, Harold Fannon at tight end, Mike Evans, then we went with
45:21Lamar Jackson, and we went with the dice roll that we get at least some Josh Jacobs. Mike, I did a couple of double
45:29taps with Marshon Lloyd and Josh Jacobs.
45:32I've uh I have a couple of teams like that now where I take Marshon in round seven and then like Jacobs round nine.
45:37This is early for Jacobs, but it's a huge huge swing for the fences. Um, and I think we'll be okay. So, we've got to
45:45really look at some running backs in round nine and round 10, but I think it's worth worth burning your eighth round pick to the
45:53ground if you have conviction on it. It's the eighth round. I mean, at the end of the day, people are like, I got the eighth
45:59round all figured out.
46:00>> Go look at your eighth round. Uh, go look at your eighth round in in previous years in FFPC main events. What's the
46:07hit rate here, Mike?
46:09>> Well, I mean, it's very logical. It's You're right.
46:13>> Yeah.
46:13>> Um and it happens that Jacobs was going in the third round or even the second round in the same tournament not really
46:22that long ago. I was in Louisville last weekend for the Kentucky Fantasy Football State Championships. Somebody drafted Jacobs in one of their main
46:32event drafts in the second round and the guy on the other side of me said that's the steal of the draft. And then
46:39I drove home and he was put on that exempt list and now they moved the court date up. So Pat Karine made, I thought,
46:45a great point about Jacob's status on our last ADP chasing episode last week because when the court date was in November, okay, well, how is that going
46:55to be changed? Like, is he going to be out the whole year or what's going to happen there? And and Pat said, well,
47:01it's two misdemeanor charges. There's no precedent on a player being charged with what he is being charged with missing like the entire year. So, okay, he plays
47:12uh but then you know when and then they moved the date up two months. I mean the the court date is like this week. So,
47:18>> yeah, >> I mean now I think I think it's something you got to do. I I got one pick short on him in the 10th round in
47:26in a slow draft and I felt like all right well that was a great opportunity that I just barely missed. Imagine if we
47:32had all these players a month ago. No, it it would be impossible. So, we have this team competing against all the
47:39other round three, round four Jacobs teams. Someone in chat said he was super mid last year. That's not the case. Up
47:46until his injury week 10, 11, um he was the RB3 by XFP per game, the RB7 by fantasy points per game. The year before
47:55he was the RB8 by fantasy points per game. And so, um, yeah, I think this is this is a killer team. You know, it's
48:02really we're strong everywhere except we're weak at RB2, but if you know, this thesis is right, Josh Jacobs plays, then we just have like an Unreal Juggernaut
48:11team.
48:11>> I'm a little annoyed that we're not getting I'm a little annoyed we're not getting more steam out of Scott, but I'm
48:16happy that he likes it. And I've also learned in the last two days that his nearest bathroom has got to be like
48:21right next to where he's sitting because like last night he's like, I got to go to the bathroom and he was back in like
48:2645 seconds. So, that's good work.
48:28>> Well, I I actually grabbed chicken noodle soup and a Pepsi. So, I didn't wasn't a bad >> So, I I just wanted to update update the
48:35viewers and listeners here.
48:37>> Uh I've dropped a show every single day on this channel since I arrived at Rotoire.
48:42>> Awesome. And >> yeah, it's crazy. I'll watch those and like I'm not even on them and the chat is just like must be filled with Barrett
48:49backers. Everyone's like, "This guest stinks. Get him out of here. We want Scott. Where's Scott?
48:55>> We want more Scott."
48:56>> So, shout out. Thanks for that. I appreciate that. Keep doing that every single episode.
48:59>> We had we we the we are we are view mogging fantasy points with their own with their own talents here. So I get
49:06Ryan Heath on this channel and Ryan Heath crushes.
49:09>> You're turning him into a star. I know.
49:11I'm trying to keep him out of the spotlight, but I'll say I'll say that I am I'm headed to Vegas tomorrow drafting
49:18teams and we have one show dropping tomorrow. I recorded with Jacob Gibbs.
49:22We're doing a weekly show. Scott, I know you'll watch that one because you love Jacob Gibbs. And even if you have to see
49:26me with him twice a week, you'll still still tune in to those shows. But did one at Beyond the Box Core and then I
49:32did one one that's going to be on here.
49:34Uh that's tomorrow. So in season it's going to be later in the week with Jacob on on my channel. It's always going to
49:40be on like Monday or Tuesday on his channel. Um but there's going to be no show for like a couple of days and then
49:45I'm back streaming live on Sundays and Mondays and all that good stuff. So really appreciate everybody supporting the channel. 42,000 YouTube subs now on
49:52Roto Wire YouTube. We've gained a bunch of them. So >> yeah. And shout out to Fantasy Point's YouTube channel. I am recording 5 days a
49:59week. You know, when Theo was there, I didn't I didn't really pay much attention to YouTube. Now it's the focal point of the website. I'm on five days a
50:07week. Scott Barrett and Brett Whitefield, I have the best co-host ever. Theo [laughter] Theo has been has been texting Brett the rudest things.
50:16He's like, you know, he doesn't love you like he loved me.
50:19>> That's right.
50:20>> Your chemistry isn't like what it was.
50:21Brett actually told me [laughter] Brett actually told me he said, >> "You know, I recording with Scott's nothing like recording with you, bro."
50:28He goes, "Can we just do a weekly show instead?" No, but in all seriousness, no. Uh, really nice to see you guys. I did a show with Brett last
50:35year. Every week I did a show with Scott every week for multiple years. So, really cool to see you guys. Yeah. Can
50:40Can I say it's crazy how like people are clamoring, begging, there's like uh 5,000 signatures to bring back School of Scot. And yet when we did it, no one
50:51cared.
50:52>> And now we all cared about School of Scott with with us. We Are you kidding me? School of Scott was a phenomenon
50:56when we were when we were doing that show.
50:58>> Now it's bigger than you know if we if we >> Yeah. We We'll do a couple shows in season here. Terren Ferguson would have
51:06been the really interesting tight end um for us here at the 909. Terrence Ferguson is moving up and up and up and
51:12up. You gonna have that free look this week. Mike, if he goes nuts in in that game against against San Francisco or
51:19even if even if he gets like five catches in that game and just has really good usage, he's going to steam up the
51:25following day in those Vegas drafts. Uh so that that one that's one player off the board. Um we have a couple of guys
51:31in the queue that I think make a ton of sense. Number three in the queue. I want no part of he'll be there in round 11.
51:37He's We're not touching that. Not this.
51:39>> Yeah. Sometimes I I just throw guys. Oh, here's a great guy. Some Sometimes I just throw it in like to keep in mind
51:45for later. Not necessarily.
51:47>> I put I put in another guy for later.
51:48I'm going to put in a couple more guys.
51:50>> I think the top two if we luck into one of the top two would be >> Yes.
51:54>> sick.
51:55>> I'm putting names into just for something to do.
51:57>> Say I would also say number five guys for this build.
52:00>> I don't have any soup. I don't have any I don't bad. What do you think about eight? I think I like eight more than
52:05>> Andrews goes >> three, two, five.
52:09>> Well, I think that the the fact that he just went he just went here.
52:13>> Um Mandrews would have been the correlation play for this Ravens correlation.
52:18>> Um I think >> I think we got away with it.
52:21>> I do too. Scott loves Scott loves the the dusty ass Mark Andrews.
52:25>> I'd rather take the other wide receiver in Baltimore and lean into that one later. Not here though. soon though.
52:33>> All I'm saying is Jaylen Bur on this pick and we could have had >> we could have I'm all about I'm all
52:39about taking my guy here but but not not in this round guys. We'll wait a little while but he's in the preseason
52:45waiverwire. I didn't >> So now I have to watch the Ron stream. I have to watch Frasier. I have to watch
52:52your draft from last year. Then I have to watch Scott's >> post script on this draft on uh Fantasy Points. That's right. be so it's going
53:01to be so hard for you to go back in the fantasy points live streams >> and find the actual main event. Mike,
53:07you're going to be up all night trying to dive into it and try to figure it out. Matthew Golden goes off the board.
53:12He's sort of living here in this fun wide receiver range after Jaden Reed and and Casey go >> I would like that.
53:17>> Digs his guy. It would have been a really nice run out for us. But another quarterback pick here would be really
53:22good for us. Uh, we will see if they just dive into Jaylen Herz here to get their >> begging for that so I don't give you a
53:29ton of [ __ ] >> I would love to get a Well, I mean, listen, it's it's Lamar Jackson with Zay
53:34Flowers >> about that.
53:36>> Lamar at 710, though. So, the the bet is at 710. Lamar, I mean, Scott like I remember two years ago it was Lamar and
53:44Mandrews at the 23 turn was the thing everybody was doing in main events. Look at how far he's fallen. So, >> how old are you? When when was when was
53:50Andrews going at the two turn? Mike, you remember those days?
53:53>> Oh my gosh. First round >> Bush was president.
53:57>> Yeah. 24 >> four years ago. I mean, Jackson won the MVP in 19 >> leading the league in touchdown passes.
54:05Andrews was his guy. The next year, we were fighting over him at the end of the first round in this.
54:12>> So, we are There goes Mike Washington who would have been an interesting pick for us.
54:16>> So, so the guy you wanted last round instead of Jacobs is still on the board >> for now. might not be
54:22>> who >> um I know we we we're gonna be interested to see which way Ron goes with this selection.
54:30>> I know who I like here. I think >> I mean one is the no-brainer of no-brainers.
54:35>> One >> Yeah, no brainer.
54:37>> Fine.
54:38>> Gets us there.
54:40Week one, we're not dying. And the week one game looks pretty fun. Jacob Gibbs and I were talking about that game a
54:47lot. And Scott, when are you dropping your DFS stuff? People are always like Theo Yuli from Fantasy Points and now they're just like so slow getting stuff
54:53out every [laughter] week.
54:54>> Well, I'm actually I'm actually not doing DFS. I don't know if you're you just brought this up to >> Guys, can we say Kenneth Gainwell here?
55:01Kenneth Gainwell. Kenneth Gainwell. We almost took him last round.
55:04>> Yeah. Insane ADP value. He fits our team perfectly. This is This is your guy. You were >> I mean two months ago, three months ago,
55:13he he was your Exodia. was not my Exodia, but he was a guy that I I really liked getting and I still like getting
55:19Gainwell. And I think that the Bucky people being comfortable drafting Bucky again has sort of pushed Gainwell back into a area of the draft where he's way
55:27more affordable to get. You also have shootout potential, Mike, where you got the Bengals Bucks game in week one.
55:34>> You could end up with a six catch game for for Gainwell in that one.
55:38>> We can and we will.
55:40>> Now, that's not Frasier. That's a Seinfeld reference. that psychiatrist who Kramer like she's dating he's dating Elaine and Elaine makes Kramer go and
55:48sit with him and he's like just get him to break up with me or whatever they're doing and he's like I could I could talk
55:54to Elaine. You can and you will which is one of my favorite lines from that show.
55:58It's not it's my it's not my number one.
55:59And number one is also a Kramer scene where he's working at that store, but he doesn't really work there. And the
56:06manager has to fire him in like that little basement office. And he said, "Uh, I'm afraid we're going to have have
56:11to let you go." And Kramer says, "But I don't even work here." And the boss says, "That's what makes this so
56:17difficult." [laughter] That's that's my favorite line.
56:20>> It's a great It's a great show. Great show for sure.
56:22>> Some people think >> Yeah. Theo, you strike me as an office guy. I've never seen The Office, but I feel like you're you're an office.
56:29>> I mean, I I I enjoy shows that other people enjoy, Scott. Like Sons of Anarchy and The Office. What a square I
56:37am that I'm not watching some foreign thing or something like that with like subtitles and like >> I just watched German. Did you see this
56:44German show that Are you guys watching this show from Germany with subtitles?
56:48>> I'm definitely hipster TV hipster.
56:50>> Were you joking about that? You don't watch it every night, but do you Are you a Lawrence fan?
56:54>> Oh, the greatest film ever. Yeah, >> but >> that's the movie. Steven Spielberg goes to the theater as a teenager in Arizona
57:01and sees that movie like this is what I want to do.
57:03>> David Lean.
57:04>> Oh, >> it makes makes all the sense in the world. Yeah, I want to see that in theater theaters with the intermission.
57:10>> That would be incredible.
57:11>> Oh, someone just said City of God.
57:12That's one of my all-time favorite movies.
57:13>> And I'll say that's a great movie with subtitles though. The Brazil and all that kind of stuff. That's a >> All my favorite TV shows, by the way,
57:19are Korean in subtitles.
57:21>> Interesting.
57:21>> Or or German. You >> Here you're a Lawrence fan. I'm going to force this in. I use a Lawrence of
57:26Arabia line all the time in real life.
57:28>> Which one is it?
57:29>> It is written.
57:31>> That's a good one. Yeah.
57:32>> When he makes he he gets there and there's Omar Sharie and he's like, "It is written. We're doing it."
57:38>> You you guys could use that in these shows. I think I mean, you're already It sounds like you're already crushing, but
57:43if you guys want to use it is written. I don't really have my own >> Let's talk about this pick really quick.
57:47Um, well, let's let's >> I kind of want to lean into upside again as opposed to guaranteed points, but I acknowledge it might be a mistake, so
57:55you can talk me off of it.
57:56>> You you want to talk me into player one in the queue? You don't have to twist my arm, but I do think that player three
58:02makes a ton of sense in in the same >> We need bridges to a potential coming off suspension.
58:08>> I also think that when we look at sort of the way that offensive line is shaking out, they're going to have to
58:13use him. Oh, there's a Why didn't you add Chris Rodriguez to the queue for guaranteed points >> because you know I'm I'm guessing he's
58:19gonna also be there in >> All right. Well, then then yeah, then we got definitely got to take one and then
58:24we we could take Aaron Jones, Rashad White, Chris Rodriguez, >> one and I and I will say uh Al Gir if
58:31he's there in round 11 makes some sense.
58:33We've also if we get a third run a fourth running back here then round 11 might be sort of the the last of the
58:39Moheakans for fun tight end picks before it gets really choppy. and it might even be done. Uh depending on how the rest of
58:45this goes and that's it's it's fine.
58:47We're going to take a couple upside swings. Okay. So I my my bet here would be the two players that I think we
58:53should consider >> Jonah Coleman or Rashad White. Rashad White, we have the guarantee of points.
59:00With Jonah Coleman, we're gonna have to wait a little bit. It's more of a swing.
59:04Um Mike, which way do you lean?
59:06>> I like Coleman or Jake Ferguson.
59:09>> And [snorts] Scott, you like Coleman the most? Coleman and Jake Ferguson. Yeah, I think that's right. Aaron Jones, throw them in there. Okay,
59:16>> we all like Coleman.
59:17>> I think I like I think we go Coleman. I think we swing for the fences with Coleman.
59:21>> It is written.
59:23>> Okay, so this is this is a fun build again where Manongi, your instincts were good there, Scott. He did not come back
59:31around to us. Many >> crying on his stream. He's We've sniped him on seven picks in a row. This is crazy.
59:39>> Shout out Shout out to Ron Stewart.
59:40should have drafted a man with us instead of against us, you know. Um, but yeah, I'm a Ron Stewart fan.
59:45>> I'm I I love Ron Stewart. I'll say and I'll say like I uh this was the first time Scott was very very guarded about
59:52my content at Fantasy Points. Like really I'd have to send him show sheets the night before. He'd have to meticulously read through he'd change
59:58questions and he would say, "You can't have that guest." I'd have to call guys the day of and say, "You can't come on
60:03the show anymore. Scott doesn't want you here." Really ugly stuff over the ban list. Yeah, we all know. I have creative
60:08integrity and uh No, I'm just joking.
60:10But Von Stewart, his channel's really good.
60:12>> Cliff Frank.
60:13>> This is my great uncle Cliff Fannon.
60:15>> Wow.
60:16>> Drafted Harold Fannon.
60:18>> Wow.
60:18>> And uh >> that's really cool.
60:20>> Welcome to the squad, Mr. Fannon. There he is.
60:23>> He died in 1966. 60 years ago at the age of 42. Um but his brother, my grandfather, died only last year.
60:33Imagine that. like 50 years go by between your yours and your brother's death. Uh anyway, love drafting Fannon family name. Here we go.
60:42>> My most expensive uh baseball card is uh Johnny Dickshot.
60:48>> Really, >> which is a real name [laughter] from the 1930s, >> but Hugh J wasn't available.
60:54>> His nickname was ugly.
60:57>> Really? I mean, what [laughter] what what a story. Hey, Dick Pole. Rusty's >> Dick Pole. Mariners, Rusty Co. You want
61:10>> This show This show has taken a really dark turn here. Apologies.
61:12>> Is it your show? I mean, get Come on.
61:14Get Get the >> Yeah, I got [laughter] to get the sensor. I got to get the sensor here.
61:17Good thing we're pre-recording this one.
61:18It's not live, guys. I'm going to go through and scrub that.
61:21>> I'm going to go through and scrub that.
61:22Um Rashad White goes in the middle of of the round 10 here. So, just a quick recap. We go three straight running
61:29backs. uh Josh Jacobs with a zero in week one, but we get the expected points out of Kenneth Gainwell and we get
61:35another upside bet in Jonah Coleman. And I had uh Scott in in the chat, Joe King, who's a really really good uh guest. I
61:42mean, not guest, uh you must be Joe King.
61:45>> Joe Joe King of his What is the What is the thesis behind Jonah Coleman? And Scott, I'll ask you this one. We go
61:52Bucky Irving. This is Is this a trend?
61:54Two years ago, Bucky Irving, round four pick, huge fantasy value second half of the year. Last year, round four pick Cam
62:01Scataboo looked like he was going to be a huge like league winning type. Goes down with an injury. Is Jonah Coleman
62:07the fourth rounder this year that at some point gives us like six weeks of viability and really good viability.
62:15>> Uh I mean, so the incumbent starter is the most injury-prone running back of all time. Um, and RJ Harvey was
62:24emphatically not good last year. And then Jonah Coleman was an analytics darling, a player I really liked. He's a training camp hype darling. Um, and it's
62:34just like an elite offensive line with a great defense. Gamecript's going to be amazing. Starting field position is going to be amazing. They're going to be
62:42in the red zone a lot. And so it's yet another swing for the offenses type pick on this team where um, yeah, I don't
62:50know. kind of stacked everywhere else.
62:51We get RB2, so I like it.
62:53>> Can I Can I bring something else up here, please, Theo? Um, I'll just I'll just pay off to the side.
62:59>> But the quarterback point that Scott made, you're going to you're going to regret it. You ever if whenever you take
63:06one, you're going to regret it.
63:08>> This feels like a draft where maybe we really don't regret it.
63:12>> You know, like >> Herbert hurts Lawrence behind us at 910.
63:16That would we would have felt the pressure. I mean, I I agree with that. I I never want to draft a quarterback. I
63:22mean, never. I mean, I have Knicks Murray teams and Willis Knicks team all over the place. But here, plus the Flowers correlation, I don't know. I
63:32mean, I think we kind of got away with it at least.
63:36>> Well, what you do at the end, Theo, I always say it's like one of my favorite things. I think it's really impressive
63:41where you go pick by pick and you talk about how this team wins a million dollars and how this player reaches
63:47their 99th percentile upside outcome. I the argument for for Lamar Jackson is well last time he was fully healthy. He outscored Josh Allen by a good two or
63:57three fantasy points per game and then the first three or four weeks of the season last year he was outscoring Josh
64:04Allen by quite a bit. He was the overall QB1 and then he picked up that lower body injury and I always say Lamar
64:10Jackson with a lower body injury is like Cyclops without the laser vision. He turns into just like just a guy because
64:18defenses can play him straight and honest and you don't have to live in fear of his legs. And so, yeah, I I
64:23think I think uh I I I told you we were really going to ru the day, but but I mean, what's the what's the difference
64:30between, you know, Lamar uh to Herz and then and then Dobbins to Coleman? That's that's that's probably better.
64:41>> Yeah. I mean, it's if if if if it was Corm instead of Lamar and then instead of Jonah Coleman, we took Jaden Daniels,
64:47the argument would be if Kyron Williams goes down with a season ending injury, we're going to kick ourselves. Um, but again, it was my argument with Josh
64:53Allen at the end of round five is the same argument with Lamar Jackson end of round seven. Even if you're not into
64:59those guys, you've already waited on quarterback. You're getting them well below ADP. and the potential upside.
65:05Scott, he was like 2020 uh4 like 55 rushing yards per game and then last year was like high 20s and he and once
65:14he came back from injury he just wasn't running. We're going to see early on but I think it's maybe not like the 2024
65:20numbers but he doesn't have to to justify the 710. We just need big spike weeks and timely ones and we also need
65:26uh 30 plus% target share for Z Flowers.
65:29We need Z Flowers to have some um you know more touchdown opportunities this year and I think he will with Doyle. I'm
65:36really would have been interested.
65:37>> Imagine Imagine if Lamar Jackson >> because Scott >> imagine if Lamar Jackson ever wanted to rush for touchdowns. Last three years he
65:45has 11. Allen has 41.
65:48>> Warren has like seven more rushing touchdowns than Lamar over the last three years.
65:52>> Rubio says Lamar's ank now. Um I don't know if he's quite status. He's like 30.
65:57Um, >> are you status Theo?
65:59>> Apparently, my son told me I'm not ank.
66:01I'm an old head, but I feel like I'm ank. I feel like I'm ank. Um, we've got We would have been an unbelievably fun
66:08convers backer.
66:10>> Yeah, my my son My son is is very funny.
66:12Very, very funny. Both my sons are. Um, >> if you have a son who knows ank and old head, I I feel like you're a guaranteed
66:18old head.
66:18>> These these guys uh teach me all the terms. That's how I stay relevant. Um, Wandell Robinson in round 10. Guys, it
66:24would have been hilarious if we were OTC and Mike and I would have made Scott take Wandell after he he denigrated him
66:31so hard on the Fantasy Points channel when Abib and I were drafting with him and then Fantasy Points clipped it. So,
66:37that was a funny moment.
66:38>> I would rather uh stab myself in the eye than win a million dollars with Wondelle Robinson.
66:46>> Well, you won't have to worry about that anymore.
66:49>> Yeah, thank goodness.
66:50>> Yeah, that's off the table. Joshua Molina, the actor, said that his father, I think it was his father, used to say,
66:55"I'd rather dig a tunnel with my mouth."
66:57That's [laughter] my favorite one of those. I'd rather dig a tunnel with my mouth.
67:01>> Well, I know the fun running back pick that I would like here. We'll see if we all >> So, so I'll just make this argument. I
67:08don't really feel that all that strongly. Um, we are like, let's say Mike Evans goes down. We are weak at Flex 2.
67:17And so we're pouring a lot of resources into RB2 when really the whole thesis of this team is that Josh Jacobs plays in
67:23the second half.
67:25>> I don't know if that's the whole thesis is our eighth round pick. If he gets burned to zero, if you get zero points
67:31all year long from your eighth round pick, that's not the reason you lost your fantasy league or won it. Tyler Algier goes here.
67:37>> Um I would like I was kind of hoping for him. Oh, and Jordan Tyson. That's a bummer.
67:42>> I think that there's a few running backs that stand out here. I think right now >> Strange is in play.
67:47>> I think Emtt Johnson is interesting.
67:50We're OTC here, so I got to talk.
67:52>> I like Strange.
67:53>> Okay, if we're P committed to Strange as our tight end, too, perfectly fine with it. But I I will throw out the running
68:01backs are going to dry up and potentially Strange comes back around. I I like I like about four running backs here and I could see them all being gone
68:08by the time we pick next. I can live with that. I think we're okay. So, let's take Strange.
68:12>> Team 12 does not have a tight end.
68:14>> We are fine. And let's take Strange.
68:16>> So, we're all in agreement. We're taking Pat Frier.
68:18>> Let's take Strange. We all That's cool.
68:20Sounds good. So, we got We got Brenon Strange.
68:23>> Sure.
68:23>> We got Pat Frier Muth on this team.
68:25>> And shout out to uh to to my guy Podson who's been one of these streams.
68:30>> Yeah, >> Podson says Theo is regretting doing this stream. I'm loving I'm loving doing this stream. This has been a very
68:36enjoyable team so far and I'm glad we're back to doing like a true hero RB build and none of this like messing around
68:43thing. Um, we have four running backs, we have two tight ends, Brenton Strange gives us access to another really, really good offense. Emtt Johnson goes
68:52one pick later. Um, and then we see Daltton Schultz. So, you read it correctly, Mike, because I think Schultz is it like capitulation to take Schultz?
69:01I mean, Schultz last year was 80 plus catches, 100 plus targets, and I feel like no one ever wants to take him in in
69:07round 11 or round 12. Ryan Heath sort of made fun of fun of me for for making making us take him in the draft. I did
69:13with him, Scott. But then when Higgins went down, Heath was happy to have that one.
69:18>> Um, >> looking at this board, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say there's one guy in the chat that I one guy in the queue that I think
69:26Mike and I are both very into, and he's number four, Mike, >> and it makes sense for this build.
69:32>> Is there a family ties reference perhaps to his name >> before your time? Frasier is >> Oh, I do. I like that. I I just got your
69:41I just got your reference. He's cool, too. He's number five. I like him a lot as well.
69:47>> Um >> I like I would never take one >> then. I think that five is is the swing.
69:57>> I like your family. Oh my god, your family ties reference. I mean, now we recognize the this is like versus old
70:03head. [laughter] That's the old head joke right there.
70:04>> How dare you?
70:05>> That's quite That's good. Yeah. There we go. There we go. And uh Bbop suddenly I'm Orson Wells. Got it [laughter] right
70:10there. B. Oh, then we got sniped on that one. We get sniped. We get sniped.
70:13>> Okay, we get sniped on on the pick there um with Katon Mitchell. I think this is We need to still keep chasing a little
70:22bit of I love the wide receivers that we have in the queue right now, but I do think one's going to be there in round
70:2613. I'm pretty confident in that. I think the next 10 picks or so is going to be running back heavy huge heavy
70:32running back run. I think we just take one of these guys.
70:35>> Do you want to take Bigsby? BSB's the one.
70:39>> We swing the fences. Honestly, I I love this team so much. I could just shut up for the next seven rounds. It's
70:46>> Please don't.
70:47>> Don't shut up.
70:47>> I won't.
70:48>> I was paying you for the full 20 rounds.
70:50>> I'm Venmoing. Scott money for to be on this one.
70:54>> Eat your soup. Drink your Pepsi.
70:56Bathroom's right there. I know. If you're going for more than a minute, we're going to call 911.
71:01>> Katon Mitchell would have been a nice pick. EMTT Johnson. EMTT Johnson's been flying up boards, guys. Um would have been a nice pick. Katon and Emtt. But
71:08but Tank Bsby, it's cut and dry. Um, we both had uh Ryan Paganetti on and he talked about how talented he thinks Tank
71:16Bsby is. And I mean, listen, Saquon's in a great spot, but if Saquon misses time, you don't think about this one. Tank
71:22Bsby goes in the lineup. And Scott, he'd probably be a top 15 uh running back if not maybe top 10 if it was a good
71:29matchup. Top 15, >> even if he stinks, he would be up there.
71:33>> Um, and like Saquon's caught some flak.
71:36Um, there are people saying he didn't look good on film last year. There are like anonymous GMs and scouts who are
71:43saying like he really needs to have an elite uh offensive line in front of him.
71:48And when he doesn't have that, he's like just a guy. And just like analytically, that's kind of who he's always been
71:52throughout his career. When he gets that, you know, three yards without being touched, he takes to the house.
71:58But he really just lives and dies on explosives. Um, and so yeah, Ryan was saying he he thinks, you know, at the
72:06this stage of their career and how they fit the offense, Tank Bsby might be straight up better. There's some I mean
72:12that's a hot take. There's some hype around this being much more of a committee this year could be I don't know round 12 talking about upside. I I
72:21think he's a great pick.
72:22>> Well, I will say that just structurally it's another term I use that people like drink with and stuff. Um, free look is
72:29also another one. OTC is one of yours.
72:32Edge is one of yours. We all have them.
72:34>> Okay. So, we've got we got we got a couple of sayings, but I will say that round round 13, round 14, it's we don't
72:42feel the pressure anymore at running back. I think we're not obviously not done at running back here.
72:46>> You're so right.
72:47>> But we we really need to kind of go with best pick on the board in round 13 and round 14. If it happens to be a running
72:54back, I think we're there. Correlation is another another term I use. Free look. really appreciate the chat. And if you're not subscribed to this channel,
73:01go ahead hit hit that subscribe button.
73:03Really appreciate all the support all all offseason long. And make sure you're checking out WGR >> every single week. Uh we're going to
73:10have a Rotoire person, Deian Harditz, myself, Jim Coventry on with Mike Schop every Friday. And there we go. The wide receiver run
73:19>> wide receiver run >> Friday afternoons. Um, just a quick a couple of additions to your point from my uh private chat.
73:26>> My colleague at WGR, Sneaky Joe, is watching and enjoying the stream tonight. Sneaky Joe, big fantasy player.
73:33>> Maybe you're familiar and maybe you're not. And then also, uh, my wife is watching from JFK on her way home from
73:39the US Open.
73:40>> Oh, good for her. I'm My wife's going to be be at the US Open later this week.
73:45I'm uh I'm going to be at JFK tomorrow morning getting ready to get on a plane to Vegas. I see uh Sean G. I see Scott
73:51Kobe in the in the chat. I'll see those guys out in Vegas. Um Mike, you will be well missed. And then Scott, if we win,
73:57I mean, Scott, you got to come out.
73:58Every year you say, you know, you're going to come out to Vegas, draft teams with me next.
74:02>> Yeah, I'm launching Data Suite 2.0, which is going to revolutionize the analytics industry. That's tomorrow. So, I'm a busy man. Uh Mike, have I ever
74:10told you I love Buffalo?
74:12>> One of the best nights of my life was Buffalo. One of the first interactions we had was I think you had a friend or
74:19even a family member here that heard me mention your name >> and Scott was so great. He reached out.
74:25He's like, you know, I heard you mention me. Uh, thank you. And then we sort of start we built a relationship from
74:32there.
74:33>> Uh, I went out for one night >> coming out of yours. Yes.
74:37>> I had to do uh like a sort of errand of sorts and uh I I was at Pinks. Do you
74:42know Pink's?
74:43>> Yeah, sure. The old Pink. Yeah, >> the late [clears throat] pink.
74:46>> And I just like struck up a conversation with some random people next to me and we ended up partying till like 4 in the
74:51morning. They invited me to crash on their couch for a week. Um, and yeah, just nicest people. Also got married near Buffalo. Um, and so
75:00>> how near Buffalo?
75:02>> Um, I forget the name of the town. I'll pull it up.
75:05>> You better know this one.
75:07>> What's that? Jio.
75:09>> Jio.
75:11>> Yeah. My son. My wife and I spent a weekend in Buffalo again.
75:14>> There's a lake a lake Jennisio, correct, Mike?
75:17>> Uh, it's the Fingerlakes. There might be. My son and wife visited Jio on a college visit like three days ago. So,
75:25she's thinking of going back to college and my son drove over there. He's 16.
75:28No, it's the other way around. But beautiful uh spot. Jio is great.
75:33>> Yeah.
75:33>> Love it.
75:35>> We are.
75:36>> How are we doing in this thing? We're still good. Yeah, >> we're we're doing great, guys. 13. We're like very relaxed. We've got to We've
75:41got to bring it home here.
75:43>> We're We're relaxed. You should watch the Ron Stewart video. He is losing his mind. He is panicking. Is that true?
75:49>> He is sobbing. Yeah. [laughter] >> Sobbing.
75:52>> He looks like he just ate a bunch of ghost peppers.
75:55>> I'm going to have to reach out. I don't want to see that happen. I mean, >> shout out to to Ron.
76:01>> ADP ADP chasing adjacent uh fam over there.
76:05>> Matthew free look right there. How what's the most you've ever lost it in a draft? And >> was it not one of these podcasts where
76:15you two are on together?
76:16>> I roll I roll with the punches in drafts. I don't get angry in drafts. I >> Yeah, I get punched in the mouth in
76:21these drafts by Theo taking anti-exodas over exodas.
76:25>> Listen, you're I'm harden I'm hardened by the the high stakes streets, guys.
76:28I'm I'm in the live draft rooms and >> you have no conviction is what it is.
76:32You you blow with the wind. You're the conductor of every hype train.
76:35>> Oh, please. I am explain this to Brett Whitefield. I am the hype. I am I'm hyping guy. I get the hype going with
76:42guys. That's that's what I do in the industry. That's my place in the industry. Trey Tucker goes. He would have been an interesting Trey Tucker. I
76:49I I I think he's going to actually have a big week one. Talked about that with uh with Jacob. Okay. I think this is
76:54>> I still have my conviction pick.
76:57>> Who is it? Mike, >> who we taking here? Is it >> you want to take over here?
77:02>> Thank you.
77:03>> I think it's been that kind of night.
77:06>> Okay. So then like I'm okay with but I think we >> like even late.
77:10>> Okay. This is this is late fun. And I'll say that I really I'm looking at >> Oh, that's who I wanted. Oh, the first
77:18of the Mike puts him in. We get Brandon Aubrey and um you know, Scott, I'm sure this >> We lost him. We lost him. We got sniped.
77:25That's who I wanted. I was with you. I will I will stump for Denzel Boston J.
77:30>> I will stump for Greg Doulson.
77:31>> Believe that >> in a tight end premium format. If he sucks, you just drop him.
77:35>> I don't care about We I think with wide receiver, we only have four. We need one more. And I think with Denzel Boston,
77:40he's going to be on the field a ton. Um we have double correlation.
77:43>> Who's throwing him the ball? I I prefer Adonai Mitchell then or or >> Chris, [laughter] but Adai is going to
77:49come back fits the team better.
77:51>> I think this is Jaylen McMillan or anybody for Cyrus Allen.
77:56No.
77:57>> No. Okay. I Okay. I was honestly that's not bad.
78:00>> 15 seconds. I >> Let's take Greg Doulich and then take a wide receiver.
78:04>> Don't take Greg. Don't take You want Chris Bell. Put Chris Bell in. Chris Bell in.
78:08>> All right.
78:09>> Chris, I took Boston.
78:10>> Okay. We took Boston.
78:11>> Okay, that's fine. That's fine.
78:12>> Okay. Um, that was our first would have been so funny.
78:16>> I know. I would have been so funny. Like >> that's how how what kind of night was it? It was an Aubrey kind of night where
78:23it's the 13th [laughter] round.
78:25>> Well, Theo has an Exodia kicker in the last round. So, it's >> at this point. Have you watched my Have
78:30you watched my kicker podcast?
78:32>> Yeah, I saw comments talking about how how much people miss >> like I did an all kicker I did an all
78:38kicker kicker expert. Everyone knows that.
78:42>> Scott, who's your exodia kicker this year for real?
78:44>> I can't name more than two kickers.
78:46There's There's Harrison Bucker, Brandon Aubrey.
78:50That's the real pressure of the bare knuckle challenge in Las Vegas on Thursday night is >> my my memory is walking around that
78:59ballroom during the Thursday night game memorizing all the kickers because you want to draft three >> and they're often changing teams like in
79:07the last couple of days and like all right oh Kairo Santos oh my god what Eddie Pinero where and then you want to
79:15try to correlate it and that's like that's the the major leagues So I think here guys the it's either what right back at wide receiver or do
79:25we take a potential elite defense that we can set it and forget it with all season long.
79:31>> I don't think there's any such thing.
79:33Disagree.
79:33>> Okay then I mean I think that the one Seattle you get the free look game one.
79:40>> Fine.
79:41>> Um Denver I mean Denver had 58 sacks last year. That's pretty >> I don't want to do it. Let's take Chris
79:45Bell. You guys love him.
79:46>> Okay. I like Chris Bell. I like Chris Bell.
79:48>> I like the fit for the team where we don't need him early on and then you hold on to that upside.
79:52>> Then we take Willis in the next round.
79:54Maybe >> Chris Bell is I'm I'm completely >> I think that the tight end we have in the queue um is interesting for the free
80:03look too, guys.
80:04>> Me too. And he went really early in one I watched yesterday.
80:09>> He Are we willing to kind of pass up on him? I think Chris Bell. It's sort of when Mike Evans gets injured. Yeah, when
80:16Mike Evans gets injured, hopefully Mike Evans, so we have Ken Kenneth Gainwell um is the pathway to Josh Jacobs and Mike Evans is the pathway to Chris Bell.
80:25So when Mike Evans goes down in like week 10 um part, you know, these these Exodas, you got to you got to be
80:31careful with the Exodia hit rate on injuries. Scott, >> we got to be careful with Scott because we've had a very cordial night, but you
80:39still you he rips the keys right out of your head.
80:41>> I I I hit that button when when you're talking about AJ Barner. Like I don't even know that he's the Seattle tight
80:46end I want the most. So >> I couldn't let that happen. We we had some alliance with Chris Val like enough
80:54of a >> really the only arguments we've had were round 13 and round 14 guys.
80:58>> We got sniped >> and even then it wasn't that Yeah, >> the call came from inside just now.
81:04>> Um there's a question for you in the chat, Scott. Um who's your favorite superhero team? X-Men, Justice League, Avengers, etc. Does anyone say Justice
81:13League? Uh yeah, to me that's the team over at Fantasy Points. The best fantasy.
81:18>> Oh my god. [laughter] >> Oh my god.
81:21>> I was a big uh I was a big the Flash fan. That was my favorite superhero because I watched a cartoon when I was a
81:27kid and he was just as fast as Superman and I felt bad for him. I'm like that's his only power and he's
81:33>> just as fast.
81:34>> Pretty good power.
81:35>> But it's actually not even his power if like you want to know that it it the lore is time just moves really slowly
81:42for him. So, it's like even worse than that. It just sucks. Like like taking a piss for him takes like 5 hours.
81:49>> And so and he has to eat like 50 million calories a day.
81:54>> Yeah.
81:55>> I don't watch I don't watch any of the the superhero movies. I'm not into that.
81:58As a kid, I was into it. But >> now you're a Lawrence guy.
82:02>> You didn't see the new Spider-Man this summer? It was fantastic.
82:05>> No, I didn't.
82:07>> Okay, here we go. Um, guys, we took back toback. You should watch You should watch Lawrence of the Arabia instead of
82:13>> You should slop.
82:14>> I'm going to do that tonight in between watching your drafts from last year and the entire Frasier catalog.
82:19>> You know what show I'm I've been watching with my wife that's that's no joke amazing.
82:24>> More on season No, Lionus. Lionus.
82:27>> Lionus is is S tier. S tier TV.
82:30>> I'm sure it's not.
82:31>> It's S tier for sure. Somebody in the chat back me up on Lionus. They're not going >> Chris. Chris Chris. Somebody's gonna
82:36back me up.
82:37>> Okay. So, Chris Bell, I'll say Joe. Joe Shad came out and wrote like his his Dolphins predictions and he says Chris
82:44Bell will end up being the leading leading receiver on this team. Might take him a little while. But I think like the whole argument with Chris Bell
82:51is he would have been drafted somewhere along the lines of where Omar Cooper Jr.
82:57was drafted if he never got injured. End of the first round, second round. Um, Chris Bell was awesome and now he's sort
83:04of beat injury uh, you know, he's way ahead of of schedule injury-wise. Looks like he's going to be full speed, but I
83:11wonder if there's a little bit of a ramp up. So, the one thing with Chris Bell, guys, is when we take him in round 14,
83:17we need to not cut him if the first couple weeks are choppy and sort of be committed to let's see it get to the
83:23middle of October. Uh, don't want to get burned on like, hey, cut him cut him loose and then he starts playing really
83:28well, gets good good usage. I liked a beeb on him last night. Um, really you guys all liked Bell. I think that was
83:35the opposite of what just happened in our draft >> where in our draft Scott sniped ourselves >> and uh jumped into the, you know, the
83:44leadership position and made the pick.
83:45Whereas last night, uh, he Scott thought that somebody sniped you guys on Bell, but actually it was Abib making the pick. So either way, you end up with
83:53Chris Bell. Podson says that the poly market partnership is is not going to happen for me because of my guests actions tonight. So there we go. Uh
84:03>> plural.
84:04>> Yeah. And uh cheesy says Boardwalk Empire, which is fantastic show. That's a great great show. Great show.
84:10>> The West Wing is the best show ever made. The West Wing.
84:13>> Interesting.
84:14>> Sopranos for Scott.
84:15>> Sopranos. One thing we're very aligned on is is Sopranos.
84:18>> I've never seen The Sopranos.
84:20>> OH MY GOD. MIKE, GOT TO LIVE A LITTLE HERE. WE TALKED about this on ADP chasing and Davis defended me because
84:25what happened was >> that's how you know you're wrong.
84:28>> Come on now. We got to scrub that. We like here.
84:31>> Get that out in our R&D will take care of it. We'll get it out in post.
84:35>> But it was that the show got really popular and I wasn't there yet and I was watching Six Feet Under
84:42>> and Carnival on HBO and Karine's like you have you must not have had HBO. Like no I did but I wasn't cool anymore
84:49because The Sopranos were everybody else's thing. So, I just never started it.
84:52>> Um, Deadwood is also another really good HBO show, but no, Sopranos's best show ever made and it gets better with every
84:58re rewatch. I'm on like >> 12.
85:01>> What about The Wire?
85:02>> The Wire is fantastic.
85:03>> Wire's good. Yeah, really good. Just not The Sopranos. Interesting.
85:07>> It's right It's right up there for me.
85:08Um, but it's not Soprano's ahead of The Wire. Okay, >> we're giving the people what they want tonight except for Big Fart Zero. I
85:14think we're giving most of the other people what they want.
85:16>> True Detective season 1 best season of any show ever. I'll agree with that.
85:21>> Yeah. Guys, guys, let's get let's get back to business here because uh we have five more rounds to really bring this
85:26team home. I love our build so far.
85:28>> We can't screw this up. We we crushed all these guys.
85:31>> Well, we could we we don't want to screw up the the last five five picks or six picks.
85:35>> This is a team that could take a defense here and and then a kicker.
85:39>> So, let's quick review. Aman Ross Aman Ross Brown, Devon A Chan, Z Flowers, T.
85:43Higgins, Harold Fannon Jr., Mike Evans.
85:46Then 78 turn gives us Lamar Jackson and Josh Jacobs. We are able to overcome the Jacobs zeros early in the season with
85:54Gainwell and Jonah Coleman, another swing for the fences guy. We pass on running back to take our tight end two and Brenton Strange. Then we take Tank
86:02Bsby. Then we come back to wide receiver. We bet on two rookie wide outs in Denzel Boston and Chris Bell. Both
86:08would have been top 40 draft capital guys if Bell was healthy. Um really fun bets to make right there. And we are
86:15three picks away in round 15. The queue is is pretty good here. I think that the the two top guys in the queue are
86:23interesting to me. And I'll say that three in the queue very interesting. And then I'll say four and five. One of
86:29them's going to come back. Um and I think we should make that selection around 16. Four or five in the 16th
86:35round.
86:36>> I would say the pick has to be Willis.
86:40I mean 12 12 does a Miami combo easily with Willis as a quarterback too and one of the other receivers and then for me
86:51the rest of the queue is mostly all the same. Certainly the defenses are >> I'm okay with that but I I'll say for me
86:57with respect to Scott as a quarterback too Baker Mayfield's pretty freaking good in rounds 15 or 16. So he can't get
87:05us on both quarterbacks.
87:07>> He's not quarterback. That's we don't have >> we don't have any Tampa correlation but Baker Mayfield is going to be very solid
87:13Jayen.
87:15>> Okay. Now I think our our now I think we are on Baker here because Malik Willis goes if Ron doesn't take a quarterback
87:23then I think we're on Baker and if not I think we're >> Oh, we do have Gainwell.
87:28>> We do have Gainwell. Baker Baker Gainwell would be kind of nice.
87:31>> There's still What am I saying? No correlation guys. What am I saying?
87:35We're losing our minds over here. Thank you chat. Yeah.
87:38>> Um, >> it's my fault.
87:39>> Yeah, >> Mike said the word Malik Willis in that that drafter's watching it.
87:45>> Okay. So, can we let's take let's take Baker here and not mess with Team 12.
87:48Well, you just said everybody's the same, Mike.
87:51>> And Scott, you don't like Tyler Shuck.
87:53Scott hates Tyler Shuck.
87:54>> So, just take Baker Mayfield.
87:56>> That seems irrational.
87:58>> You know what? I think it is. But >> let's let's take Baker.
88:00>> But lo and behold, >> it happens. We all have it. Is Scott.
88:04Okay.
88:05>> Scott. Okay.
88:06>> Mayfield. Yeah. Yeah. And then I think I think Jaylen McMillan in the next round.
88:10>> We have the first we have the first and last picks of the legendary 2018 NFL draft.
88:20>> It is written. [snorts] >> I'm throwing in uh >> I threw in one guy to the bottom of the queue.
88:28>> One guy at the bottom of the queue that I think is pretty good.
88:33>> What a night. This is a Listen, I was out in Buffalo that night where they picked Josh Allen 7th and everybody
88:40booed >> in a Buffalo bar. Everybody booed.
88:45>> I have some bad Josh Allen tweets, too.
88:48Right before they drafted him.
88:51>> It was rough out. Yeah, >> they boo they had a they had a fan like a season ticket holder event at the
88:57stadium at the fieldhouse where they practice indoors and when Allen was picked the Bills fans who will fight you on everything. It's go Bills 365 days a
89:09year booed the pick.
89:10>> Wow.
89:11>> Bunch of haters.
89:14>> Incredible. What a story.
89:16>> Yo, this is I'm having so much fun. This is an amazing team. This is this is maybe my favorite one we've done. We
89:21should we should consider doing this like once a week next year.
89:24>> You should just I mean you live in you live in like in Texas. It's really easy to get to Vegas. It's like nothing,
89:30Scott. It's literally like a nothing plane ride. It's like you know how big Texas is. Texas is bigger than the rest
89:36of the country combined.
89:37>> It's big.
89:38>> No. Hey, listen. Texas.
89:40>> That's how Texas feels.
89:42>> I was in Alaska three years ago and they had these great t-shirts with like just the shape of Alaska and the tiny little
89:48thing in the middle and that was Texas.
89:50That's great.
89:52>> Well, I'm from New Jersey originally, Mike. So, and and Long Island, I know it very well.
89:57>> That's fair.
89:57>> Okay, so we've got Tyler Shuck goes I'm glad we took Baker Mayfield.
90:02>> Um I I think there's two there's two picks that stand out to me. I like where your head's at on number three, but I think
90:11he'll be there soon. I think there's there's two obvious picks for us. I think it's >> Let's see if this manager makes their
90:18selection. I think it's >> okay. Adonai goes. I'm gonna throw out Let me just throw out one. Let me just double check the the running backs real
90:25quick. Um I think that Kamani Vidal is very interesting, >> but I think Denver Broncos defense, >> we're talking about the pass rush they
90:35have, the the secondary they have, >> and you set it and forget it. Even through the b the tough matchups, >> let me just it's it it time is ticking.
90:44Chiefs, Jaguars, Rams, Niners, Chargers, Seahawks. Okay.
90:53>> That's their first six games.
90:54>> Do Do we want two defenses? Do we >> So what? Sacks. Sacks travel. Pass rush travels. And >> that's true.
91:01>> It does. It does. They got to block them. They got to block them. Mike, >> let's take them. It's another
91:06>> I'm going to trust the guy who just did a full hour on defenses >> cuz I can't do that. I wouldn't
91:10>> I'd rather pick a free look team, but okay. or Jason Myers, your kicker.
91:15>> Okay. So, if we're if we're if we're gonna go with a non-defense, I I think let's take Denver Mike. Let's take
91:21>> Times up. All right.
91:22>> Okay. I I But I didn't press the button there that we just we just >> No, I I did this time. I beat Scott to
91:27it. But what I've also done in the last 60 seconds is put in a few waiver claims on other defenses for week one starts.
91:32>> Nice.
91:34Raiders.
91:37>> You're you're you're you're fearful of the Kansas City Chiefs in game one. See, I'm of the opinion that let's go test
91:42that offensive line. And even if Kansas City scored some points, they're going to get to to Mahomes in that game.
91:48>> Mahomes coming off an injury.
91:49>> Fearful, but I'm not sure it's optimal.
91:53>> Maybe fearful was not the right word to use, Mike. Maybe fearful. Yeah, I don't think you're you're you're >> you're not a scared drafter. You're
91:59you're just overly cautious at this point on a defense that proved itself to be >> slightly slightly made a little personal. I wasn't thinking about their
92:08>> Who knew that Theo and I would be the battle tonight.
92:10>> Who knew?
92:11>> No, Mike. I >> Now you know what I go through. Isn't it awesome?
92:14>> The only one we've argued about. Only one we've argued about. Only one we argue about.
92:18>> The total is 43 and a half. Not Not huge.
92:21>> Monday night.
92:22>> Next Monday night >> is that game. 23-20 is the implied total. Implied game score.
92:28>> 23 20 whatever.
92:29>> One week away from Monday Night Football.
92:30>> Crazy.
92:32>> I'll be so tired.
92:33>> Tilting out on a Monday night. Nothing.
92:35Tomorrow night is all the waiverss. Like we got to do this tomorrow >> on FFPC for week one and you and
92:43everybody here is probably has teams from May. Theo, what was that hardway draft? Was it May 22nd >> and all I have five Jaden Higgins teams
92:52in this thing like you got to get to work tomorrow.
92:55>> I've already I've already put in a bunch of waiver claims and and for my NFC uh people out there, they're running
93:01waivers on Tuesday night tomorrow.
93:03They're not waiting to. So, it's Tuesday night.
93:05>> Same. Same.
93:06>> Same with FFPC. So, I'm going to I usually do waivers on the plane, which kind of sucks, but I sit there on the
93:12plane just grinding waivers, but I've already put in a bunch of them. Mike, put in a bunch.
93:15>> Scott, you you asked Theo this earlier, and I'm just going to take the question for myself. I think I have 50 managed
93:21teams.
93:23>> Is is Pod is Podson? I never can tell. I think >> teenagers.
93:27Podson, I think, is is is is uh being negative in the chat here, watching the stream like, "Wow, I was able to buy
93:34that Lambo. The bar is low."
93:36>> Our team is our team is is cooking here.
93:38Podson, >> don't let him get to you.
93:40>> Listen, I didn't I thought Podson was an advocate of my content. In fact, he's running against me in this.
93:45>> You're gone.
93:46>> Listen, he's rooting against me. Let me see how that works out for you.
93:50>> I'll be old guy or whatever you want to call me. Listen, this is something I wish everybody that I respected in
93:56fantasy football content would subscribe to.
94:01Anybody commenting on your stream, you won already. And there are certain content people who just can't help themselves but sort of snipe back and it
94:13just is such a turnoff that I immediately want to unfollow them. Don't you get it? Like anybody who is oh you
94:20know this was bad whatever you already won >> you're in the chair >> okay so act like it >> no I've just it just heel turn heel turn
94:29for podson >> not you but I just the worst the most insufferable thing in fantasy football where it's all so positive almost always
94:36is somebody one one of the many of us there's so many of us is like oh I somebody told me that I shouldn't have
94:44taken this guy in this round in this here. Shut up. Nobody cares. The people you're trying to impress are not impressed and the people you're talking
94:55to are not listening and they're never going to stop coming back at you. All you're doing is encouraging them. I just
95:00wish like I mean I'm thinking of a couple people. I don't want to name them, but just get over yourselves. Do
95:06not worry about it. You've already won.
95:09You're there. You're in the chair.
95:10That's it. Just leave it at that. And then if anybody wants to come at you, let them and be done. Fine.
95:17We >> I love it. Mike, you've been crushing the content game for years.
95:21>> Sorry for the Sorry for the rant.
95:23>> The voice of the Buffalo Bills, Western New York's finest.
95:26>> Wait, do you do you talk other sports, too?
95:28>> Yes.
95:29>> Mike knows hockey. Tell him about your hockey skills here, Mike.
95:32>> We're a Bills and Sabres show.
95:33>> Sabres. There you go.
95:34>> There's Those are the two teams Buffalo cares about. I mean, again, I'm not speaking >> like it would be impossible for you to
95:41be as knowledgeable about football as you are. And then also talk I don't know, Yankees, Mets.
95:46>> I don't follow the NBA at all. I don't follow college football at all. I You guys do that work. You'll tell me who
95:52the good prospects are.
95:53>> Um, I follow curling. I follow golf, tennis a little bit. My wife's a accomplished player. Um, but I don't have time I don't have time for
96:04basketball >> really. That's the one I >> football and UFC and that's it.
96:10>> Okay.
96:13>> Theo, what about you? You're everything, huh?
96:15>> I mean, big basketball guy. Um, and also >> Mets games all the time.
96:20>> Mets is for fun, but I don't ever watch them on TV. I'm I'm a huge US soccer fan, so like US men's national team. I
96:26don't miss I' haven't missed a game for like 25 years, so I'm I'm locked in.
96:30>> Yeah, no joke. I I watch >> You're like the only one.
96:33>> I'm I'm I used to go to the games and all that kind of stuff. So, >> um, >> I watch Everton every every, uh,
96:39>> you're an Everton guy. Interesting. So, my my my youngest is a pretty good little soccer player and he's, uh, Barcelona and Arsenal now, so he's
96:47watching a little bit of >> Oh, wow.
96:48>> little EP.
96:49>> What's next? The Dallas Cowboys.
96:51>> Hey, listen. We we're we're getting jerseys that are evergreen here in this household cuz my nephew gets them after.
96:57Um, okay. So, we're we're coming up. We have four more picks to go, guys. um defense is out of the way. But Mike, I
97:03will say you you don't have a whole lot of faith in Denver. So us taking a second defense if we see a really good
97:08week one matchup, not the worst idea I've ever heard. I think you're spot on with that one. I've seen a couple people
97:13with these two defense builds. I put one player in the in the queue that I think you guys can get behind uh based on sort
97:19of what we built here. Um and then obviously we're going to need a kicker to go with some of these guys. We're
97:24done at quarterback. Tight end, we're we're sort of back into it. Scott, your favorite tight end will be there in round 19, round 20. He's going to be
97:33there.
97:33>> All right.
97:35>> Yeah, he will be. He will be. Scott has an affinity for a tight end that's disgusting, but Scott Scott's back in on
97:41him. So, we'll see.
97:41>> We'll see how disgusting week >> six. I haven't used my [laughter] >> I hope I don't have to write about him
97:46in week one waiverwire. If if I do, I'm going to give you a shout out, Scott.
97:50>> I haven't used my uh my what is it called?
97:53>> Your phone a friend. Who's your phone of friend to? Adam Crowworth. your veto.
97:57>> It's the opposite of a veto, whatever the one is, like the confirmation flag plant or whatever we called it earlier.
98:03>> And uh my high stakes waiverwire column, which was at fantasy points last year, is now at Rotoire. Um you can get access
98:09to it with code Theo35. 35% off for the whole year. Scott even reads that article. So >> does better numbers than it did with us.
98:18>> Oh, please come on. That that was that article dominated.
98:21>> It's one of the best articles. Jim Coventry came on our show on Friday and he said, you know, use promo code WGR
98:2650% off.
98:27>> That's That's only for That's only for the WGR listers. I don't know if that's still if that's still active, but uh
98:32>> what's the difference?
98:33>> We'll we'll double check. We'll double check.
98:35>> Okay.
98:35>> Um wasn't that great, Mike? We gave you a a code like that for your for your audience last week. I really
98:42>> Let's go. Just >> for you, Mike. Only person who have ever done better than that is Warren Sharp who came on and said, you know, this is
98:48here's my annual publication and WGR listeners can have it for almost nothing. There was some code a couple of years ago that Warren laid out that you
98:58know >> his content's interesting. I listen to his channel cuz I I love Rich so much, but uh some of the stuff they do
99:05together is pretty cool.
99:06>> Jordan James goes in round 17. Guys, we've seen Kalin Black steaming way way way up the board. Jordan James to get a
99:14little bit of a free look there. I'm on Kalin Black. Do you think it's a potential Shanahan rug pull where Jordan
99:21James ends up getting some touches, Scott, or are you sort of on >> I don't know. I think it's an a great
99:26pick. It's there's a lot of fear, uncertainty, doubt regarding Chris McAffrey this season, his week one status maybe even. And yeah, it's a guy
99:34that he took on day two very high. So yeah, and we've seen, you know, proof of concept, a number of just sort of rando
99:42running backs. Uh Christian McCaffrey goes down. These guys put up points.
99:46>> I like number three a lot in our queue right now, guys. Um I think he's probably the one that I'm most into for
99:52this particular pick.
99:54>> Okay.
99:54>> It it's it we get it makes sense for our build. And I think he's another one of these guys where there's a player in his
100:01room that's kind of banged up. Uh, and one other guy who's old and one other guy who's been banged up and had a
100:08serious injury at the beginning of last season. And it sort of continues the trend of what we've done in the second
100:12half of the draft. And I think it's another Brett Whitefield guy. It's Ted Hurst would be who I want here.
100:18>> Um, Scott >> Brett Whitefield likes Ted Hurst.
100:22>> Yeah, I won't fight you. I I feel like I >> Baker Mayfield correlation and then we're done at wide receiver and then
100:28your tight ends, your late tight ends who I know you guys both are into >> um are there and there's one running
100:34back in the queue that I think is really interesting and then I think we also look at I'll put one more free look.
100:40>> We have to have a kicker and then two others.
100:42>> So you got two others and a kick. So we can also potentially double check.
100:48>> Boragalis is the no-brainer at kicker with one. Exodia. You got an Exodia value kicker. And also you say Boralis, but
100:57>> I just put him in the queue. Mas, you get the other free look there. Yeah, Mike.
101:00>> It's great.
101:02>> How about um and Mike, you're you know, I love talking to you because you're like I know you always sort of
101:07self-deprecate here, but you are so locked in on NFL. You're the guy that I go to for Bill's information and you
101:13know, you know so many NFL people and you're talk you're like you you're wearing like you're like in two rooms here. You're very big in the fantasy
101:19space and you're very big in the actual NFL space with >> also a big carnival fan.
101:24>> That's We're going to scrub that. Let's edit that out. We don't we don't The guy who didn't watch the Sopranos cuz he was
101:29watching Carnival. We're going to get carnival.
101:31>> Okay. That's just not good. That's just not good stuff. Um but what do you think about the Rams choice of flying out
101:39Tuesday evening to play a game on Thursday in Australia? They're basically saying we're not going to deal with jet lag because we're only going to be on
101:47the ground for what however many hours.
101:49>> I mean, I don't know from experience.
101:52It's interesting to me that two NFL teams, let alone as sophisticated as the Rams and 49ers operations are probably
102:01have such different attitudes about it.
102:05Um, so we'll see. I mean, the Niners are there already and the Rams are getting there like the morning of and leaving
102:11after the game almost. Like they're going to practice tomorrow in LA.
102:15>> Isn't that a little crazy? Like they're practicing tomorrow. Insane to me. And then flying to Melbourne, which is what, 14 hours away or whatever it is.
102:22>> And does anybody know what sort of plane they fly on that sort of charter jet?
102:26>> That would be a question for Scott. It's got to be a superhero related. Uh, >> okay. So, well, let's make our pick
102:32first. I I would say that the meas went >> so I don't think we don't have I don't think unless you want Eddie Pinero for
102:40the free look.
102:41>> I don't think we take a kick here.
102:43>> I'll take that.
102:44>> I think >> let's take Hani for just he's a running >> well Emanuel Wilson back. Does that change your your theory on Helani at
102:52all?
102:53>> No. Uh I mean it's it's probably a guy we're dropping regardless, but maybe he gets goal line work and pass catching
102:59and it's more valuable than we think.
103:01Okay, this points two picks.
103:04>> It's a little bit late.
103:05>> Take just take Alani. It's fine. If Scott has conviction on him in round 18, >> I'd rather my tight end.
103:10>> Okay, so listen. You're going to have for about You're going to have Helani for about three hours and then afterwards you're going to send us a
103:17text and say, "Guys, let him go."
103:19>> How many points would he score for us to to keep him in the lineup in week one?
103:2415.
103:24>> 14. 14. I would say if he scores 14 points, we're he's in our lineup.
103:28>> What do you think? 14 and a half. Uh, >> I don't know. It depends on what the other running backs do, what the snap
103:34share is, all that.
103:35>> Well, the beautiful thing about this team is you're going to get the free look on on Mike Evans, and so you're
103:40going to know what Mike Evans is as well, guys. So, we'll get the free look on on Wednesday evening, free look on
103:46Thursday with Evans.
103:47>> Okay. So, we're down to kicker and tight end.
103:50>> We're down to kicker and most likely a tight end here. Um, we can wait for our kicker to the 20th round. I have a few
103:57since I put in the work, guys. That was one of my most researched podcasts of the entire. No joke. No joke. I went
104:03into like these slave drivers you're working for. Let Let me be clear. I never made Theo do a kicker video.
104:10>> No. And no one >> No one made me do one. I was I was just inspired to do a defensive kicker one
104:16because I want to give the people every single edge they can to win this year.
104:19>> Oh, look at that.
104:20>> So, I have a how >> great you are.
104:22>> And Abib and I are aligned on one kicker we both both really really like that I think will be there in round 20. You
104:28guys are almost like you could be real life brothers where you just sort of you grew up just punching each other in the
104:34driveway.
104:35>> I I have to say I feel like the little brother like I'm, you know, antagonizing Theo for the most part and he he does a
104:41good job brushing it off.
104:43>> Yeah, it's fine. It's fine. It's It's just banter, guys. We are good friends.
104:46Uh Scott Kobe, do you believe the drafts will be different this year because of the Wednesday night game? I'm drafting two NFC drafts Wednesday night out in
104:54Vegas. Crazy.
104:55>> So, it's going to be wild stuff. One of the games is like while the game I believe is going on I guess what time
105:00will the game uh be >> uh 8:30 right 11:15 11:30 >> so you're talking about um the fourth quarter I think the draft starts like at
105:09the beginning of the fourth quarter it's incredible timing by the NFC um so it'll be interesting to see if I mean really
105:15the the big change would be I think the guy with maybe the biggest room to run is is Jarian Price because I think if
105:22the usage is elite people are going to say what was I doing and They're going to take him two or three rounds earlier.
105:28JSN, could he be wide receiver one off the board? I don't think he can pass Gibbs, but if JSN has a huge week, then
105:35um I could see him move up to >> What about AJ Brown?
105:38>> Oh, AJ Brown for sure. And AJ and Drake May definitely >> AJ Brown if if he goes, which is very
105:45possible. If he goes eight for 101, he's going at the 104 Thursday.
105:51>> Yeah. And I think Drake May moves up as well. and that uh that correlation play um would become way more expensive for
105:58those drafts in Vegas and people would be cramming them in. So um yeah, and I get it. People are talking about the the
106:04you know facing off against Christian Gonzalez, JSN facing off against Christian Gonzalez, but JSN's JSN and they're going to move him around and
106:12find ways to get him the ball, too. They didn't forget how to get JSN the ball.
106:16>> And then you have all the Rams and 49ers on Thursday, >> which is so people can watch. It's great. I mean, there's so much potential
106:24there.
106:25>> I just hope we get one of the at least one of those games is super fantasy friendly and highscoring. I hate when we
106:31get the run out where the game's not great. Um, we remember some of those games, Mike, the energy in Vegas when
106:36you get those extremely highscoring games. Scott, the uh the Green Bay Philly game in Brazil.
106:43>> Brazil.
106:44>> The the Bucks Cowboys game that one year where it was Brady and and Dak both going nuts and you had Omari Cooper go
106:50crazy in that game. I mean, those are the kind of games we want. It feels like could we get that with LA San Francisco?
106:55Really high-scoring game there in Australia.
106:57>> It's It's just Don't you wish the game were not in Australia for that? Like, >> plus the 49ers always beat them.
107:05>> What What time Eastern time is that game?
107:08>> They're both at They're both in the evening. Yeah.
107:11>> Oh, wow.
107:12>> They're playing at 10:30 in the morning Friday in Melbourne.
107:16>> Oh, okay. Yeah, >> they're playing at 10 in the morning in Australia.
107:21>> 10:30 10:35 a.m. Friday in Melbourne.
107:25>> That's probably when they're used to watching the games anyway. So, >> think of the Australian Open >> Ingram. Ridiculous about uh for the
107:34Australians been waiting all this time to get an NFL game in Australia and they've got to watch it at 10:30 in the
107:39morning.
107:40>> Well, have to do.
107:44>> Okay, so we are we have two more picks to make, guys. One of them has to be a kicker.
107:49>> And it's not going to be first because everybody took kicker behind us.
107:52>> So kicker is last.
107:53>> And you uh Mike, you have your exo. You have your your free look uh fun player that you really like.
108:01>> I still haven't used my flag.
108:04>> Oh, baby.
108:05>> Well, I mean, at this point in round 19, >> I know a waste.
108:09>> Take whoever you want, Mike. Take whoever you want.
108:11>> Waste.
108:12>> We're already We already have the free look on Helani. We could go with a second free look here.
108:16>> I absolut 100% will. There's no question about it at this point. Well, here's a name. Although Theo, what position do we
108:26want to pick all else equal? Running back or receiver or tight end? Tight end. Tight end.
108:31>> I mean, tight end would be the one. I I'll just say, would it be interesting enough to see the week one usage for
108:37Michael Mayer and Charlie Kolar? Um, and I'll say if you want to go free look, the free look player is available,
108:44Cooper Cup and Eli Raridan.
108:46>> Yeah. Yeah.
108:48>> Those are the two.
108:49>> I literally picked Eli Rarden in Sigman Bloom's expert survey as like the rookie league winner or something. I I just got
108:58a little carried away there.
109:00>> That was very cool that that Sig did that by the way. That was a really smart thing.
109:04>> Yeah, I liked it a lot.
109:05>> I like that thing. Okay, Kobe Parkinson goes. So, another kind of free look guy off.
109:09>> Thoughts on Gadston? I mean, everybody's been sort of down on Gadston because of usage in the preseason.
109:15>> Isn't there still some life there in a Mike McDaniel? No, you guys.
109:20>> That was a player Scott loved him as a prospect. We liked him a lot at Fantasy Points as >> Scott. Are you out all the way?
109:27>> Yeah, kind of. But, I mean, it's it's a guy we're probably going to be dropping, so like why not? Yolo has more upside
109:33than just about anyone else in the queue.
109:36>> They could fool around in those first two games, Cardinals and Raiders. They could fool around and just sort of >> Kar could get hurt, you know,
109:43>> or Kolar, we could pick him too >> or And Jooko could get hurt again like he was last year and it sort of tightens
109:49things up. Or wide receiver could go down and they have to use Gadson. So I don't mind taking uh Gadson here at all
109:56if you want to do it. I also don't mind a free look like Raren.
110:00>> I'm taking Ren. That's your guy.
110:02Conviction.
110:03>> Why not? I mean, we don't know what the Chargers going to are going to do. And let's see if Raren doesn't go for a
110:09touchdown against Seattle. Then we may start him. If he doesn't get 10 snaps, we cut him.
110:16I have two >> right >> kickers I really like. And I'm just going to throw it in the queue.
110:23What is the the the correlation between kicker quarterback in this sort of event, Scott? Because I'm not a I mean, I would go with my
110:35kickers would be Jake Bates and Will Riker. Will Riker I think is going to kick a ton of deep field goals and it's
110:40sort of a perfect team where Kyler is going to help them be better offensively, but are they scoring a ton of touchdowns or does it lend itself to
110:47stalling out in the red zone? Will record also automatic from 50 plus was really good at Alabama really good last year from 50 plus huge leg but going in
110:57with a little bit of correlation kicker quarterback correlation Scott negative or positive EV here from >> Yeah, it's probably positive EV. It's,
111:07you know, a bet on the offense being really, but I mean like you could also just bet on Jake Bates and the Lions
111:12offense being because they're always good. So >> I love I love Jake Bates. Jake Bates.
111:16It's Jake Bates will record for me ahead of Tyler Loop.
111:19>> Bates missed two extra points in their last preseason game. Is he a little bit fragile?
111:25>> If he does it in the regular season, but the thing is he's was it's he was so good on field goals and they do like him
111:31there. I like Willard >> New Orleans and then Buffalo Thursday.
111:34>> I like I like Will Riker because of the big leg and I think that's sort of the way the NFL is trending with these deep
111:41field goals and all that kind of stuff.
111:42But I could care less. Scott Jake Bates.
111:45Yeah, >> Mike Jake Bates or Will Reikard.
111:48>> I would pick the Green Bay guy, Trey Smack. Um, but fine with you guys.
111:53Riker, I think is the most consensus.
111:56>> Maybe >> that's Scott. Okay, >> whatever you want. It's a kicker. I I really couldn't care.
112:02>> Let's go. Let's go. And a great great point by Greg in the in the chat about Dan Campbell's tendencies on fourth
112:07down. Let's go Will Record, who I I had in in my in my my uh podcast as sort of maybe you're chasing this year's Brandon
112:15Aubrey. He's sort of a he's he's an arbitrage cam little pick here, Scott, if we can we can throw that out there. A
112:21world record. I really like that one.
112:23>> It is written, >> guys. I I love this team. I've been having a blast. I'm not feeling too well, so I was hoping you could get me
112:30>> Let's Yeah, go ahead. If you want to do your thing, >> let's let's uh let's wrap it up then.
112:37You can go or or Mike, we can we can we can >> do you want to do the uh do this with
112:41you on the air, Scott, or or you want to top out and say that.
112:45>> Okay. So, how does this team win a million dollars? Aman Ross St. Brown has his wide receiver one overall season.
112:52Leads all wide receivers in touchdown catches, catches, targets. He has 195 targets this year.
112:58>> Offensive player of the year >> goes absolutely nuts. It's due. We've been waiting for it. Year of the Sun God. Devon Han does exactly what he did
113:05last year. He averages 20 points a game, gets 1300 plus uh rushing yards, and he has 65 or more catches. People are
113:13kicking themselves. They just didn't take Devon Achan. Zay Flowers has his career year. They finally targeted him in the end zone. They finally he finally
113:21scores like eight touchdowns. He finishes as the wide receiver, six overall. Uh has an awesome awesome season. And the target share is like
113:3033%. It's gone up every single year. T.
113:33Higgins spike week central weeks 15 through 17 has an awesome end to the season. T. Higgins finishes as a a wide
113:40receiver 12 on the year. Harold Fannon Jr. tight end three overall destroys people with Yak is the number one target on Cleveland by a good margin. Exceeds
113:49his stats from last year. Um and and Fannon just another player people really overthought. Mike Evans is this year's version of 2025. Devonte Adams catches a
113:59bunch of touchdown passes. benefits from being Brock Pery's favorite wide receiver. Uh Lamar Jackson QB1 overall goes outscores Josh Allen again. Lamar
114:10Jackson is back to 2024 Lamar Jackson or close enough to it. Uh awesome year for us. Josh Jacobs comes out after comes
114:17back after only a fivegame suspension.
114:20Uh misses the first five games of the year but will be 5-0. We get him back in week six or week seven and he ends up
114:27doing what he does every single year.
114:29Kenneth Gainwell. Um, 70 catches this year in Tampa Bay. Is that that too much of a dream? 70 catches for Kenneth
114:36Gainwell. Uh, does it again. His stats look similar to last year and he is the bridge we need to Josh Jacobs. Uh, one
114:44of the two running backs in Denver goes down with an injury. Probably the one that usually gets injured. Jonah Coleman gets this big opportunity. He's this
114:51year's version of Cam Scataboo except he plays the whole year. Uh Brenton Strange, tight end 12, has a really good year. The wide receivers cannibalize one
115:00another in Jacksonville. And Strange is just Mr. Consistent. Uh one of the preferred targets of Trevor Lawrence all season long. Saquon Barkley misses some
115:08time and he does it towards the end of the year. We get seven starts out of Tank Bsby. Uh Bsby is a is running back
115:1615 over the last nine games of the year and we're able to use him a lot. Let's call him running back 10. running back
115:2210 over the last uh over the the stretch run. Denzel Boston solid year. Chris Bell leads Miami in all receiving categories besides uh behind Devon a
115:32Chan spike week ability. Baker Mayfield returns to form sort of we get the the Lamar returning to 2024 numbers. Baker Mayfield finishes as the QB7 overall.
115:44Passes for a ton of touchdowns. Gets a huge contract by somebody this off season. Denver, despite the trepidation from Mike Schop, leads the NFL in sacks
115:54once again. Uh, finishes as defense one overall on the year. They get to Patrick Mahomes six times in game one. They sack
116:01him six times because >> it would be amazing. It would be amazing for us since we don't have Mahomes on this team.
116:07>> If anyone did it, it would have been Denver >> or that Tampa Super Bowl. I got to look that up. Ted Hurst. Ted Hurst, guys. Uh,
116:14benefits from attrition in the wide receiver room in Tampa Bay. Huge second half of the year for Ted Hurst. Ted Hurst is like a sixth round pick next
116:22year in FFPC main events based on how he ends the year. A lot of people will say Ted Hurst is the new T. Higgins and we
116:28have them both on the same team. George Helani. Scott, I I can't I can't even do it cuz I'm a Jarian Price guy. But Eli
116:34Rarin, two touchdown catches. Game one.
116:36Mike gets us two touchdown grabs.
116:39Patriots shock Seattle and rare in with two touchdown catches.
116:44>> Has never been sacked six times in a game.
116:46>> Never. No, but but he does one in the Super Bowl against the Eagles >> or the Bucks. No, it's five.
116:52>> No, no, I I just pulled it up against the Eagles in the Super Bowl six times.
116:55>> Oh, it's separate.
116:56>> And you guys ready for this?
116:57>> Will Riker Will Riker is arbitrage Brandon Aubrey, kicker one overall, leads the NFL in 50 plus yard field goals on the season. All of the Alabama
117:08Crimson Tide fans are like, "We see this is the kicker we saw at Alabama. Will Record is that guy at the kicker
117:14position." So that's it, guys. That's it, guys.
117:17>> Easy. You made it seem so easy, Theo.
117:19Million Do the same thing for every other team.
117:23>> No, I can't do it. I can't. We can't give him that kind of love. Scott, just give people one game you're looking at
117:27for DFS. You're not doing DFS content, but don't you have a game that you're circling?
117:31>> I mean, Lions Saint start everyone.
117:33Everyone goes crazy.
117:35>> Okay, there we go. There we go. Bucks.
117:37>> Mike. Mike. Uh, give us a big give us a big >> Buffalo Bill prediction. Any player on the Bills or or the team itself, give us
117:46a Buffalo Bills prediction.
117:49>> I'm I'm feeling conceded this summer.
117:51Uh, he's the one where I think if he's healthy, they're going to want to prove their point on him. And nobody disputes
117:59like his yards per route run stuff, his his like sort of nicer metrics. as long as he's on the field. He's never going
118:05to put his hand down and play traditional tight end, but most teams also have a guy like that and or at
118:12least some do. And um I kind of like that. I don't want to draft Cook in the first round. I don't want to draft DJ
118:19Moore at all. Um and Allen as a quarterback structure point. So Concade is the one I kind of like. I thought
118:26maybe we would end up with him tonight >> at 67, but he went to 61.
118:31>> 710 710. 710.
118:34710 would have been great to have King Kade, but that's not the way it felt. We got Lamar Jackson there. So guys, this
118:39was awesome. Highly recommend you check out Scott Barrett's work over at Fantasy Points. Highly [snorts] recommend you go listen to WGR with Mike Schop.
118:47>> We're on serious now, by the way. 17.
118:49>> And you're on YouTube. And you're on YouTube. You're on YouTube, too, Mike.
118:52>> Oh, that's >> You're everywhere. You're everywhere.
118:55How about that?
118:55>> Convenient.
118:56>> And what is the what is the what do you do with the ADP chasing guys during the season? We're going to go, I think, once
119:02a month on Mondays before Monday Night Football. I think I'm not even sure we have that nailed down yet, but we're
119:08we're not on Tuesday nights anymore.
119:09Stat Chasing took our place.
119:12>> So, one one more one more stream from me tomorrow morning, and then first couple of days off from streaming, I'm going to
119:19be in Vegas attempting to win a bunch of drafts, drafting NFC's, FFPCs. Come say what's up if you see me. Really
119:26appreciate Scott and Mike on this one.
119:28really appreciate the Rotoire audience that supported my work all summer long here in July and August. Uh stick with us here at Rotoire. We're going to help
119:35you crush your fantasy leagues this season.
