Brock Bowers

PositiveValue0:00

Ashton Dinsdale identifies Brock Bowers as an absolute PPR cheat code, recommending him at the 2/3 turn. Dinsdale compares his elite talent level to Rob Gronkowski, noting that his ball adjustment and yards-after-catch ability are exceptional. Despite concerns about the Raiders' offense, Dinsdale projects Bowers could see a target share and first-read rate similar to Jaxon Smith-Njigba's usage under Clint Kubiak, which would allow him to break fantasy football even if the Raiders remain a bottom-10 offense.

0:00How high should rafters be willing to
0:01push Brock Bowers in the second round
0:03the two three turn [music] absolute PPR
0:05cheat code?
0:06>> Here's the thing about Bowers. If he was
0:08on a better team, we'd be talking about
0:09him like Gronk. But he's been a little
0:11bit hurt. He's been banged up. But he's
0:13an incredible player. He's just so very
0:15good, so talented, so [music] skilled,
0:17just a masterful framer of the football
0:20and an adjuster to the football, catcher
0:22of the football. His ability to get up
0:23field and the fact that he started doing
0:25it so young in the SEC and he never let
0:27down and every step he's always been
0:29better and better and better. He's one
0:30of my favorite players in the NFL. He's
0:32incredible to watch and feels like he's
0:33coming in healthy this year.
0:34>> And the Raiders, they have nobody else.
0:36They have Jaylen Nailer and Trey Tucker
0:38as far as the receiving game. Kirk
0:40Cousins has been kind of dead recently,
0:42but I think he can still get the ball
0:43out to where Bowers operates. [music] So
0:44with Bowers, just get the ball near and
0:46he's going to catch it. He's going to
0:47get yards after catch. He's going to be
0:48explosive doing it. And how can you look
0:50at that offense and say anything besides
0:51of course we're going to run the ball
0:52with Ashton Dinsdale, but [music] we got
0:53to get the football to Brock Bowers.
0:55>> And now you've got Clint Kubiak there.
0:56We saw how Kubiak was able to use
0:59Jackson Smith-Njigba in terms of the
1:01first read rate, the target share. Those
1:03could be identical. If that sort of
1:05usage happens, he's going to break
1:07fantasy football this year even if the
1:08offense is bottom 10.
